#wyvern painting

I wanted to try painting a Rathalos from Monster Hunter. I'm unsure if I tried painting one in the past, but I feel like this one helped me learn a lot with layering watercolors. This painting ended up being many many layers of trusting the process, which I feel helped me understand a bit more about my approach to layers with watercolors. I still have plenty to learn, but I feel happy seeing some improvement.

I think he turned out better than the Lavasioth, and I'll probably end up painting more.

Which type do you prefer? Lightning has always been my least favorite, my most favorite is between frost and fire. It’s hard to pick. I do think poison are the prettiest though.
