Another thing is if you wanna snarl, its kinda the same as the growl-bark, but emphasise the 'bark' part and continue the growl as is! :3

i figured out how to growl a bit better! I just have to bring the sound a bit farther forward in my mouth. When it’s too far back it sounds more like a purr, which isn’t very threatening. Too far forward, and it’s a chihuahua’s growl. Also, baring your teeth brings the sound further up. another fun thing is the growl-bark! A QUITE threatening noise, you just have to bark silently while growling, so that the growl comes out in a short, sharp bark. if it’s difficult at first, try growling, and then opening your mouth while sustaining your growl. Then, just open and close your mouth quickly, to 5 the growl-bark!

I’ve been thinking about dragons today and I have a very curious question about dragonkins

do you ever think about HOW big you would consider your kintype? Like the general size of the species and age. I would often consider adult dragons be on average to be only a few feet bigger than a blue whale, again this would also depend upon species as well

I’m just genuinely curious and I wanna hear from you.

does anypup else really like snapping your teeth? and like,, cobbing and all that stuff? i cannot stop snapping my teeth whenever i feel shifty and it's irritating cause my teeth aren't right and also my mouth isn't big enough and ALSO my muzzle isn't long enough and i should definitely be able to flick my tongue but i cant

You might not be able to see them, but my ears perk up when you call my name - my tail anxiously swings side to side while i’m waiting for something, and my wings stretch out and ache when I gaze at the sky.

You can’t see them, but you can feel them, can’t you?

I finally made more art! Yay!

This one is of my wyvern-self as a baby, waiting for parents to return.

This was part of an exercise to find out more about my species' life cycle and way of life.

Sometimes, even though I know I can’t, I flex my shoulders and back in hopes I’ll fly. It’s instinctual. I KNOW how to fly, how to flex my muscles, how to tilt my wings to catch the air, but physically I can’t. It’s the worst feeling ever honestly. Knowing you can but physically not be able to.

I want my wings back. I need them back. I NEED to fly again.

everything feels wrong . i don’t have claws or a tail or horns or a snout or wings or fins or fur or feathers or sharp teeth or scales or paws .

i can feel it all there . i feel the weight of my horns on my head , my wings on my shoulders , my tail connected to my spine , my snout ‘ s nostrils flaring , my claws flexing as i type this out .

but it’s not real

. i can move my tail and wings and claws , but they’re not there . none of it is . my teeth are dull and flat , my nails aren’t sharp or long , my shoulders only carry my arms and not my wings as well , my tailbone has no tail connected to it , my nose is short and round , and i don’t have any scales or fur or feathers to cover my skin .

i cannot roar or growl or trill . when i try it doesn’t sound right . i sound too human .

and human is something i am not , never will be , and never have been .

i can’t fly or easily run on all fours , i can’t swim using just my tail , i can’t breathe fire , i can’t do anything my draconic selves can .

i am a dragon , but i do not look the part .

sometimes i wish i was just a human . an average human . no species dysphoria , no gender dysphoria , one single self , none of what i experience .

yes , my non - humanity has made me happier at times . being able to accept it and embrace it , that is . but i do encounter moments like these very often .

i can’t fully describe what it feels like . [ the way i feel right now ]
