Marauders Fandom Red Flags

So in my time here (almost a year wow), I've gotten more familiar with this fandom than any other. And I love it here- but there's some issues I've seen. So- this is my list of red flags. Some are personal, some are simple fandom etiquette. Read at your own risk

1. Hating on ships/characters too much. If you follow me yk I will post my dislike from time to time, but people who almost exclusively post that are just annoying. Find something you enjoy instead. There's enough hatred in the world, is this really how you wanna spend time?

2. "I hate jegulus but their writers are so good" no. Fuck off. You don't deserve our work if you hate what we write about.

3. Openly bashing/rating/etc fics and other works. People do this for free. If you don't like it keep it private. I've read several fics I've disliked and I only tell my friends, if even then.

4. Liking only straight ships and canon ships. This is just a personal ick. And most of the time it feels a bit homophobic that in a fandom full of mostly queer ships- you only like the straight ones. Kinda weird man

5. Sending anon hate is RARELY okay. I say rarely because I've experienced a few instances where I'll defend it, but over a character? Or s ship? Especially when you call someone a fascist over it. Seriously? Fuck off. There's actually fucking fascists taking over and you're calling out people who like a gay ship? Yikes

6. Being rude under someone's post because you don't like it. Fuck that. I get even I've gotten a little worked up before but I do try to contain myself. I've since chosen to block tags and blogs I don't like. It's much better on my sanity. The block button is free, use it.

7. If you don't like any of the marauders era girls. Ick. What the fuck? They don't have to be your favorites, but they deserve appreciation. They're great characters when they're written well.

8. Let trans people headcannon characters as trans. This fandom is practically founded on saying fuck you to JK. Let us claim these characters in our eyes. Trans regulus means a lot to me. You don't have to like it, but you can simply let me enjoy it.

9. Similar to the last one, but if you say shit like "they cant all be gay" then you're fucking stupid. Shut the fuck up. For one it was the seventies, for two queer people tend to flock together so it makes perfect sense most of the group would be queer. And again- our whole thing is shitting on the terf. Make them queer. Spit on everything she stands for.

10. And last but not least- jegulus hate. There I said it. The amount of hate is ridiculous. You don't have to like it, but attacking us for it is actually insane.

Meeting Dahlia Spade and eating chocolate with Deuce (Deuce Valentine)

Valentine’s Day had arrived at Night Raven College, and while the atmosphere was buzzing with romantic confessions and sweet treats, Deuce Spade was dealing with a serious case of nerves.

He had spent the entire morning hyping himself up, pacing in his dorm room, rehearsing what he was going to say to Y/N. It wasn’t that asking them to be his Valentine was a scary idea—it was just that every time he tried to, the words got stuck in his throat.

Finally, after much internal debate (and some tough love from Ace, who told him to “just man up and do it already”), Deuce took a deep breath and found Y/N in the courtyard, sitting on a bench and enjoying the crisp February air.

“H-Hey, Y/N!” Deuce called out, voice cracking slightly. He cleared his throat in embarrassment, rubbing the back of his neck as he approached them. “Uh… mind if I sit with you?”

Y/N smiled and patted the empty space beside them. “Of course. What’s up, Deuce? You look a little… tense.”

Deuce swallowed hard. “So, um… it’s Valentine’s Day, right?”

They nodded, amused. “That’s right.”

Deuce fumbled inside his pocket, pulling out a slightly crumpled red envelope. “I-I wanted to give you this. And, uh, ask you something…”

Curious, Y/N opened the envelope and found a heartfelt, handwritten card inside. It wasn’t fancy—just simple, honest words from Deuce asking if they would be his Valentine. The effort and sincerity behind it made warmth bloom in their chest.

Y/N looked up at him, eyes soft. “Deuce, this is really sweet. I’d love to be your Valentine.”

Deuce’s face turned as red as Riddle’s hair. “R-Really? That’s… wow! I mean, great! I was, uh, kinda worried you’d say no.”

They chuckled. “Why would I say no? You’re kind, hardworking, and you’re always looking out for me.”

If it was even possible, Deuce’s face burned even hotter. He scratched his cheek and let out an awkward chuckle. “Geez, you’re gonna make me all flustered…”

Y/N grinned. “That’s the goal.”

After a moment of gathering his composure, Deuce perked up. “Actually, I was wondering if you’d like to come with me to visit my mom. She always makes a ton of sweets on Valentine’s Day, and I… I kinda want her to meet you.”

Y/N blinked in surprise. Meeting his mom? That was a big step, but the hopeful look in Deuce’s eyes made it clear that this was important to him.

They smiled. “I’d love to meet your mom.”

Later that evening, Deuce and Y/N arrived at his family home, a cozy little house that felt warm and welcoming. The moment they stepped inside, they were greeted by a cheerful voice.

“Deuce! Welcome home, sweetheart!” Dahlia Spade stepped out from the kitchen, apron on, her expression lighting up when she saw her son. Then her gaze shifted to Y/N, and her eyes twinkled. “And this must be the special guest I’ve heard so much about.”

“M-Mom!” Deuce spluttered, looking absolutely mortified. “I-I just said they were coming over! Not that they’re— I mean, they are, but—”

Y/N laughed, finding his flustered reaction adorable. “It’s nice to meet you, Mrs. Spade. Deuce talks about you a lot.”

Dahlia chuckled, wiping her hands on her apron before clasping them together. “Well, that’s sweet to hear. I hope it’s all good things.”

“Of course!” Y/N reassured her. “He’s always telling me how much he looks up to you.”

Deuce groaned. “Y/N, please.”

His mother beamed with pride, ruffling his hair despite his protests. “That’s my boy. Now, come on, you two. I made chocolate-covered strawberries, cookies, and just about every sweet you could think of. You better have room for dessert!”

Y/N and Deuce shared a glance before grinning. Spending Valentine’s Day with Deuce was already special, but getting to meet his mom and share this moment with him? That made it even sweeter.

Later that night, after stuffing themselves with sweets, Deuce and Y/N found themselves lounging in Deuce’s old bedroom, surrounded by childhood mementos and trophies from his past. The two sat on the floor, passing a box of chocolates between them, the cozy atmosphere wrapping them in a warm glow.

Deuce popped a piece of chocolate into his mouth, sighing in satisfaction. "Man, I forgot how good Mom's chocolates are."

Y/N chuckled, watching as a smudge of melted chocolate clung to the corner of his lips. "Hold still for a sec."

Before Deuce could react, Y/N leaned in and kissed the chocolate away, their lips barely lingering before pulling back with a smirk.

Deuce’s eyes widened, and for a moment, he seemed frozen in place. Then, his face turned bright red, and he sputtered, "W-Wha—Y-Y/N!"

Y/N grinned mischievously. "What? You had chocolate on your face. Just helping you out."

Deuce covered his face with his hands, groaning dramatically. "You can't just do that without warning!"

Y/N laughed, nudging him playfully. "Guess you'll have to get used to it."

Despite his flustered state, Deuce couldn’t hide the smile forming on his lips. Maybe this was the best Valentine’s Day ever.

A new day has come and a day after the arrival of the humans, from the omatacayia clan who had been given approval to stay. It was great to the omatacayia families and friends being reunited, after being forced apart. Jake " I just don't want her to get romantic feeling for anyone here as she have to become one of the omatacayia and then we will see if he worthy of anything else" spider didn't like what he was hearing and same went with a couple other they had all just meet her, and now they were trying to change her life and take her away from the only place and home  that welcome her when everyone else tuned their backs on her.

Y/n " sure let's go" you and yaimi had called the ikrans and soon took off flying together and laughing there were rumors in the clan of you and yaimi closest. The kids had done the task for Tupia and fully completed them to the fullest soon heading home, during dinner time the sully family was looking at the pair as they talked and laughed with their friends.

I'm kinda tired of dungeon meshi fans blatantly misinterpreting Kabru's goals, motivations, and character so they can ship him with Laios...like obviously it's awesome if you enjoy Laikabu but can you nooot twist Kabru's intentions for involving himself with the guy who constantly triggers his monster trauma and pisses him off so bad he gets brain damage so that he turns into "the guy who wants to suck Laios's dick" as his entire character? I've even seen people cut off Kabru's words to make it seem like he is admiring Laios because it would disrupt that narrative

this isn't an ask or a request, but I hope you could still post it, because since I found this account the wave of love for this fandom crushed me yet again

not to disclose who I am too much, but here's a fact: I was dealing with pre schoolers as a part of my education(or, well, practice). around the same time I discovered the wonderful world of hermitcraft age regress fics. I myself don't regress, but I find those works insanely comforting. anyways I mentioned my education because, while in fics the looking after might be Way to soft and all-allowing (that YES can be very bad even short term), most of the works show it really well. and not just comforting, but as if the authors know Very Well they are portraying not a parent figure per say, but a "cool uncle that looks after you" type character and I LOVE IT. maybe this says smth about my childhood, maybe it's the overwhelming feeling of love coming from a friendship, but still. kudos to everyone who writes age re in this fandom, I love you.

I still haven't explored the topic of age regression as a study (meaning: I haven't really looked up the real world instances), but I have a feeling that learning about this phenomena in psychology feelings-first from a fictional work was a good idea.

Your ask has actually reminded me why I love this blog. I've been a bit out of touch with the fandom lately, but the sense of community that comes from gathering around something so niche is really nice and I love hearing about it.

I'm glad this type of content can be comforting and enjoyable even if you don't regress!

Also, when I originally had the idea to start this blog, there was very little agere-related content in this fandom that didn't emphasize a parental, set-in-stone caregiver as a key feature. I'm happy to see so much more variety in how people portray it in relation to friends and partners.

let me drop some drama on y’all — in the last year + 7 days, I:

reconnected with multiple friends from high school at a wedding I legally officiated for two old friends

realized in hindsight that I had liked one of our classmates when we were in school, who had attended the wedding and was now recently divorced

started talking to him very often and, by proxy, the husband I officiated the wedding for

started an on-off flirtation with the divorced friend — [clarification: HE started it, but I was very receptive when I realized what he was doing, it just took me a while]

became the “dump my mental health problems” friend for the husband^ who I’ve said is like a baby brother to me for *checks calendar* 12+ years

was accused by my friend’s wife AND the friend that I was flirting with that I was having an affair with the husband or at least harboring romantic feelings for him

she also accused me of behaving like her abusive mother, when I told her she was out of line for even thinking I would have an affair with (1) her husband (2) who I kept saying was like a baby brother to me

held an intervention for the husband about his ragingly out of control anxiety, where he proceeded to, like, beat the windows of the car and yell and be violent [not at me but around me and I was very triggered and scared] — after which he said he couldn’t trust me anymore because I was projecting my anxiety onto him, and he was fine

fell into an episode of psychosis because I was surrounded by people who didn’t trust me for reasons they’d all made up in their heads, and were all mad at me for ❤️

[while in psychosis] dealt with the guy I was flirting with talking about wanting to sleep with his coworker, and being very on/off + hot/cold with me — which I wrote off as post-divorce emotional problems I just needed to be patient through lmao

[while in psychosis] dealt with the husband’s mental breakdown about never wanting to get married in the first place, dragging my family and the family of the guy I was flirting with into the mess — we got the husband pink slipped and I stopped talking to him and his wife

was told by the friend that had been flirting with me that he’d been leading me on, as he proceeded to ditch me for another friend that I helped him reconnect with — but promised me that we were besties and nothing would change!! (how kind. also? he broke that promise immediately and called me difficult)

dealt with his new girlfriend lying to me about them not being together, because no!! hoes before bros, Alex, I would never date someone who hurt my friend!! but also you need to be personally accountable for feeling hurt!!

there’s more in the way they’ve both treated me since he decided he was done with me, but my therapist and I are still parsing through it

turns out I probably don’t need to be taking Ativan twice a day and sleeping after work + all night bc of the high dosage, I just needed to start cutting out bad friends! my anxiety has never been more managed now that I’ve decided to listen to every other friend that’s told me these ones were all no good for me! I do need the anti-psychotics, though. I heard voices for 2 months and it was NOT a good time.

I didn’t have this much drama in my life ten years ago when we were actual children — the next time I start posting about liking a man, someone remind me that it brings me absolute misery. None of this would have happened if I hadn’t wanted to hop on his dick 🙄🙄🙄

y’know just as soon as i start getting comfortable with the idea of being open/relying on my dad and him being more comfortable with my choices than i feared, i can essentially throw all that out the window with how vehemently he yelled at me at the thought of my getting my septum pierced (even though i never said i was yet. i said my side before i decide anything else). also making underhanded remarks of me never getting tattoos other than the one for my mom. like okay don’t ask me why i don’t tell you about anything or talk to you or anything. what the fuck.
