hey did you know??? that if you stop stretching and maintaining mobility in your body then it goes away?? things get tight and you can't move the way that you used to??? and when you decide to try getting a stretch routine going that the first week fucking sucks because you keep going 'damn i used to be able to do this no problem' and then you have to switch gears and be kind to yourself and just focus on getting better from here instead of berating yourself for dropping the good habits in the first place??? and your body never stops aging so you gotta keep taking care of it and sometimes you gotta take care of it extra in certain areas because of things that happened when you were younger and it's boring and sometimes hurts but it's so necessary???

i’m just abt ready to crawl into bed… i hate my lack of motivation and how obsessed i get over things. i have such a one track mind idk how i function in general. im doing my best to fix it, especially since classes are starting up on tuesday and i barely passed last semester bc i couldn’t wake up for my earlier classes. i’m disgusted with how lazy ive become and im trying so hard to change, but idk. i might need to detox from a few things online, but tumblr isn’t one of them. there’s another thing i don’t wanna give up, but it’s my one chance of normalcy with those who i miss. i’m not in the best place of my life, but it’s pretty high up there. i’m so glad im done with high school. it was sucking the life out of me. but whenever i feel bad, i just remember the bitch who got me expelled is pregnant, while i wound up going to college. she was just jealous of my super saiyan power. and oh my GOD i forgot that i was gonna take down the christmas lights around my bed posts… that’s for tomorrow. i miss you.

Why do Bioshock fans hate infinite so much? Is it really that awful?

It's not an inherently bad game, and visually it's awesome. But personally I just could not get to grips with the story while playing and felt the combat to narrative ratio was pretty imbalanced towards fighting (but that's an entirely subjective idea ik and a lot of people prefer it that way anyway). Infinite is definitely controversial for bioshock fans... personally I don't *hate* it, I just think it had a lotta potential and could've been a far better game than it turned out to be - but I see the difficulty in that some of the fans want more combat, some of them want more narrative and factoring in an entirely new environment too you really can't please everyone lol

Also I'm bitter and unhealthily attached to rapture and didn't want to leave it lmao

I find it funny the way Jon blames himself for the apocalypse. Cause essentially what happened is that Jonah put a nuke in his lunch and he blames himself for it.

Like, imagine you got a sandwich for lunch. You’ve been looking forward to eating this sandwich for so long, you haven’t had one in weeks. Your friend got it for you from a restaurant and you are so so excited.

It looks amazing, it smells amazing, you are so excited. Then, you go to take a bite and there’s a fucking nuke in it. It explodes and kills everyone around you, except for you. Then you blame yourself.

You didn’t put that nuke in it. You didn’t know there was one there. You were just trying to eat lunch.

It was the guy from that restaurant, he put a nuke in your sandwich! And it wasn’t even like he put it in a random sandwich and you just happened to get it. No, he put it specifically in your sandwich so when you try to eat your lunch it will explode.

And you know that he put the nuke in your sandwich. Cause he wrote you a note explaining to you exactly why and how he did it. He told you it was so it would explode and kill everyone, and he told you that he put it specifically in your sandwich. And he hid the note so you would only see it after you started eating, at which point it was already too late.

And you still blame yourself. Even though you had no idea. How does that make sense?

I love the Leverage episodes where they're truly just psychologically tormenting a guy.

Like obviously they first establish that the guy is a terrible guy who does terrible guy things. And we really do need the terrible guy to be doing a lot of terrible guy things because this is kinda an ethical nightmare, but don't worry, they are reliably doing a lot of terrible guy things.

But then it is just like "hey, let's convince this guy that he's made first contact with aliens and also that aliens are trying to kill him" or "hey, let's make this guy believe he's contracted a deadly disease and is going to die in quarantine because medical staff are abandoning him" or "hey, let's first try to persuade this journalist that the government is secretly creating Guantanamo Bay 2: Underground Boogaloo in your backyards and when she doesn't run with that story, let's then make her think that oops the government accidentally leaked some kind of bioweapon into the waterways and now water is gonna kill you instead."

learning the Hebrew alphabet for no other reason than I like ot learn different scripts + my name is a Hebrew name! it's coming pretty easily so far since the quick, usually straight stroke of the letterns are reminiscent of chinese and the "rules" for spelling words especially concerning vowels are really similar to arabic so far which I have also studied <3 speaking of arabic, the video I watched to fully cement my learning gave examples of simple Hebrew words and some of them are clear cognates with arabic words which is always fun to see :) I also have all of my friends on snapchat's contacts saved under how their name would be/how I would transcribe it into Hebrew as something to refresh my knowledge 🩵🩵🩵🩵🩵by the way I love the word "love" in hebrew, אהבה, so nice to hear and also i think an arabic cognate :)

Thinking about DP x DC Jason Todd being a revenant again. Here's my scenario. Jason gets called that by some ghost. He's like "what the fuck is that supposed to mean?" He's heard the term before but he doesn't know any actual lore. He googles it. He scrolls past the Leonardo DiCaprio bear movie. He opens the wiki. Sees the words "animated corpse" and gets a chill diwn his spine. He starts reading the first section.

He closes Wikipedia.

That night he has a nightmare that his family buried him, again, this time with precautions. He wakes up in his own grave, full of stones, too heavy to move, to scream.

sally’s “i want him to know who he is, before your family tries to tell him who they want him to be.” and poseidon saying “he will be stronger for it on the other side. his mother raised him well.” and he is. percy is stronger on the other side. we’ve seen it so clearly through his quest. his confusion at how you have to earn the gods’ love, earn their respect. his conversation with annabeth on the train about it. his unwillingness to accept the ways of the gods. him realizing his mother wanted to keep him away from this world, and annabeth being the one to tell him that maybe it was for the better that sally did that. so that he wouldn’t be like them. annabeth’s “he isn’t that way. he’s better than that. maybe i was that way once. but i don’t want to be that way anymore.” the way percy would’ve turned out with a similar worldview to annabeth’s if he had been sent to camp so early on. and annabeth’s worldview changing so quickly after meeting percy. sally jackson raised that kid right. you would think that as a demigod, the half god side of percy is what’s important. but that’s not what makes him the hero. it’s the half mortal side of him that does. his humanity, his mortality, his mother. that is why percy is the hero that he is.
