I found out there was an anteater LPS so obviously the only logical thing to do was go and buy one immediately and make it into Flint. My phone hates me so pictures are bad but look!!!!! That's a little guy!!!!!

I think I like cheetah better but we'll have to see

Ever since I realized anyone who's made art I loved could turn out to be a monster I've tried to preemptively interrogate how many preconceptions and biases I've formed towards creators just because I've bonded with their work, and think about what I'd do if that axe fell on my own most beloved books and music and shows (I mean it already has on many of them. Millennials can't have shit). I've squared it with most of them but ngl, in the full knowledge that I didn't actually know the man from my left elbow, if Terry Pratchett turns out to be a shitwipe I'll probably just lay down and die. I'm the first to encourage engaging much more critically with his work than his insufferable fandom will ever do, but I cannot contemplate someone whose blistering rage against social injustice I can feel so keenly in my own blood could be a racist or a piece of shit like Gaiman. Maybe he'd have disappointed the fuck out of me by believing Gaiman until he became indefensible, because whiteness and man-ness and ego sometimes calcifies in people's twilight years and undermine all they were in their youth. But actually being party to, or knowing about and accepting of that kind of abuse, especially at the time of writing Good Omens, when the characters of Vimes and Granny Weatherwax were beginning to unfold in his imagination? I don't want to live in a world where that's possible. I can't.

I mean, if allegations like that did come to light I would believe the victims and shut the fuck up about my own turmoil until the dust settled. But I'd also just fucking give up on the world man.

so obsessed with susato that i forgot that her saving holmes's life wasn't something i just made up in my head but implied by the game to have been What Actually Happened.

#mikotoba susato #she's so everything. literally who is doing it like her. fantastic phenomenal iconic brilliant amazing etc etc #tgaa spoilers #dgs #i've always thought that susato's perspective on the direct aftermath of the shooting would be extremely interesting to explore #largely in part due to her treatment of holmes's wound blending his past with mikotoba and his present with the girl he is actively #devastatingly lying to whom he now owes his life to. and all the complicated emotions that must arise from that for him and then for her #when she eventually learns the truth #but also in part due to how her reputation in gregson's (and barok's too potentially?) eyes must have been changed afterwards. they both #know her as the almost eternally composed judicial assistant and they respect her for that in spite of their prejudices but she now she's #gone and saved a man's life and i think that respect grows... deeper? more personal? as a result. and regardless of how poised and composed #susato is she must have been somewhat shaken by the events right? she was probably terrified. and being questioned right after she's #bloodied her hands and clothes cant have helped so i imagine they must have seen that too. seen her more as the person she is rather than #just the title she possesses.#which i think would be interesting to explore. lots of untapped potential here i need to go back and replay to see if there is a slight #change in how gregson and barok interact with her but i believe there was. there shouldve been even if there wasnt idc #she is the moment. no one will ever come close 😤✊

#the 'time travel' makes no sense when you think on it. What happened to Prime Chakotay? He got killed they showed that.#At the end s1 Janeway finds an 'alternate chakotay in an alternate timeline' and that's the one they go and get #we saw the original get merc'd in the message. That ACTUALLY happened. Lmao.....#They didn't prevent THAT death because they didn't go to THAT Solum with the Infinity and stop it from happening #instead it was 'ALTERNATE #' implying other.#OG Chakotay wasn't taken over by the alternative one either nothing suggests that was the direction for him in s2 #they didn't do anything like 'well you see chakotay because at the end of s2 when we converged timestreams you have merged with your other'#if they did want to recover the original from s1 then keep that clear instead of being convoluted dont use an alternate timeline wtf #instead the plot was focused on gywns stupid fucking paradox plot and her being fixed #chakotay was the one in a paradox too did that not matter nah dw about it he had to die for this outcome or someshit lmao why #In the extended message given to admiral janeway it shows him clearly getting left behind and surrounded. Sadly no one intervened.#I dont understand why they couldnt have just made s2 about his rescue alone IF they took their time it wouldnt be so difficult #to follow #above that the one they rescued was ruined by the 10 year gap so he wasn't 'saved' at all. Janeway had fuck all this season #let alone settle for not fixing her own timeline and her own friends deadly circumstance dw just grab another one from the shelf i guess #the emotional fallout was absolutely missed because they didnt elaborate on anything. Plenty of show but no substance from the characters

i love when I'm reading a fanfic in which the author has chosen to give Della a Goldie-given nickname and it's something or cool or even remotely fitting as if she wouldn't call her like Della-Bella-Bing-Bong because she did it one for *avoiding suspicion reasons* and it pissed her off like nothing else so now she exclusively uses any elongated form of Della

#she was like 12 #and ever since then Goldie has been coming up with increasingly stupider and longer versions #Della responds each time #even if it's with a huff or an eye roll #it's especially brilliant when they're in like mortal danger and Goldie -never one to drop the bit- will yell a dumb nickname #and Della without conscious thought responds as if that is word for word what is written on her birth certificate #bec you just know after 10 years of dumb nicknames Della's act now think later subconscious would have adapted to that just being her name #goldie o'gilt #winning worst aunt of the year award every year #della duck
