A concept art of Spyro diving and exploring underwater with some kind of special ability it would seem.

It’s too bad they didn’t add in that sort of feature similar to the classic games. Guess the developers might have found it a bit complicated and are unable to figure out how either Spyro or Cynder would be able to explore underwater without drowning given the trilogy was made to be more serious? 🤷🏻‍♀️

calling it now - buck and eddie’s season 6 story will end with them (or them and chris, but i think just them, to drive the point home) on eddie’s couch. maybe we’ll have some more hints that they have both figured It™ out by then. but there’s no confession (direct or third party) and no kiss (that’s for season 7) just a quiet, soft and understated moment that simultaneously manages to be incredibly loud.

from then on the journey falls into pace, easy as habits, grave as rains. the nomad, led by its own beak and an unwavering understanding that all things passes, resolutely strides on while the landcapes around it gradually plateaus: mountain ranges slowly diminish, sand turns into glass into blurred edges where the sky and the ground knows not themselves from each other.

and then, the nomad steps off the face of the earth, and onto the sky.

it holds itself a bit more carefully, watching its step as if walking on a thin line. here is an invisible maze of stair cases, only one is homeward and all others nowhere-bound. yet the bird-thing is assured, beak twitching, it knows the smell of home when the scent catches, and it won't let go, never have, never will. impossible nomad climbing impossible stairs.

imperceptibly, one of them resounds with a hollow thud; and a few further steps are met with the creak of a door opened without knocking. the nomad pushes it wide to reveal a pocket of space that vaguely resembles a low-ceiling living-room. two windows with yellowed lace curtains hang open. on the tiled floor squares of honey-coloured lights dance in secret harmony. a much larger third window towards the back of the room is tightly shut, behind cream-coloured iron bars, plastered over with a large world map fraying at the edges.

the nomad gingerly steps into the room and looks around. it takes a few deep breaths and stretches its limbs, before pulling out a small knife. with as much gentleness as precision it cuts off a piece of its woollen undercoat, drops the soft fabric onto the floor and fluffs it into the shape of a pillow. then, it gently lays out the corpse-and-moth bundle on top, arranges the pieces neatly, and covers them halfway with what's left of the burning blanket. it sits down and stays very, very still, for a short while.

here lies the dead poet, murdered in earnest, loved in all honesty.

when the impossible nomad leaves, the door silently clicks. the sky is still dark but under the heavens, something feels like day is breaking.
