Tumblr media
All you need to do is look at her and she knows
She knows exactly how you feel and exactly what you need
She’ll wrap you up tight in her arms and just hold you tight
Telling you that your okay, your safe here in her arms and she’d never let anything hurt you
She’s just holding you in her lap letting you tuck your face into her neck and breathe her in
She’ll rub your back gently and place kisses to your shoulder or head
She’ll put ur comfort movie or show on
Even if she doesn’t like it
Even if its just background noise to you
Because rn is about you
She’ll make or order in your favourite food to eat while you cuddle and watch it.
If she senses you need to slip into a subspace then she gently takes your clothes off
She’ll spread your legs gently as you lean back against her eyes shutting as u relax in her arms
She’ll gently rub at your clit and kiss your neck whispering soft praises and sweet words
Working in her fingers till shes softly fingering you and thumbing your clit
She brings you to orgasm softly again and again and again
All the while praising and reassuring you
If you need even more to fall into headspace she’ll slip her sweats off and guide her cock in.
You can choice to stay leaning back into her or move so your straddling her face tucked back into her neck
She’ll shuffle you both slightly so she can gently thrust up into you.
She’ll guide you through more orgasms until your knotted on her cock deep into omegaspace
Then she kisses your head and wraps a blanket over you
Softly rumbling back as you purr drifting to sleep in her arms.

I know people in HMC books speak English so there's not gonna be any kind of miscommunication between the characters, but sometimes I think about how it would be way more funny If there was some language diversity.
Howell Jenkins falls into the portal to an absolutely unknown, magical realm and... everyone speaks English. He was rather happy about it, finding it funny: it's a new, fantasy, fairy-tale based world with dragons and spells and seven-league boots and magic, and yet its habitants English. What are the odds?
However, it does not takes him long to realise (much to his own frustration) that, even though all of the locals native language is, in fact, English, it is pretty different from the English Howell himself is familiar with. He cant understand it quite well at fist, but it sounded like an odd mix of a modern language, specific dialects and an old tongue people was using around Victorian England/Middle Ages. It has so many words and unusual forms (Howell even called them "slang" once in a while), that it takes him a while to fully get every term and subtexts ms. Pentstemmon was referring to.
Their languages were similar just enough to catch the full sense of the sentence, but not enough to undertand all the little details, not cultural nor linguistic. It would even worst If he wasn't a big fun of Shakespeare and old Arthurian Legends growing up, letting alone studying old English (and old Welsh) at the university.
The language also differs from the area. Michael, for example, uses so many words you can hear in Porthaven only, regarding it's unique aspects. Sophie uses a lot of Market Chipping proverbs, and even more old terms connected with hats. The language he heard the King using wheh he got his first chance to met him at the time of his apprenticeship was so long, confusing and vivid, as If it was taken straight out of old English Literature books. And yet, English.
To this day Howell — at this point long-knowing as Howl Pendragon — finds himself confusing new terms, forms of words, proverbs and sayings. Maybe, he thinks, you have to be truly born there to understand all of - although he did better than anyone else would. Sophie seems to catching up just well.
Abdullah ends up with a flying carpet and the magical genie, exited to give away his fist wish to find the love of his love... only to not understand a word of what the genie is saying. This is how, instead of searching for Flower-In-The-Night, he now searching through a whole Zanzib for a proper translator from English because, here's the problem, If he can't understand the genie, then genie can't understand him, and If genie can't understand him, it's pointless to even try making a wish. He knows it's English: there's plenty people all around the world visiting the market, and he had even learnt certain words, important for making a trade, but that's not nearly close to a full sentence on unrelated topic.
With a great effort and after hours of searching for a really proffecional master of languages (who charges Abdullah nearly all of his money for one single session), he finally gets to the point. Except, here's another moment. That's where Abdullah finds out the wish has to be spoken from his heart and not through the other person. Here comes another catch — Ingarian English, no matter how simple or structured is, to put is simply, badly different from Rapshutian Arabic. It's not even the same language group!
So, he sits in the small, hot room near the glamorous bottle and tries to pronounce a bunch of difficult, complex words written on a paper, the kind that translator couldn't cut or simplify to ones he's familiar with, for a whole ten (to fifteen) minutes. And, as If trying to make his task as difficult as possible, genie, when he shows up, starts randomly breaking into the language translator can't even recognise, with no talk about understanding. Abdullah assumes it may be a secret genie language only this creatures know and, annoyingly, gets along with it.
After successfully wishing to understand (and use) English, he also finds out he can't wish for anything more language-related, and he shouldn't even bother himself trying to ask for a foolish things like an ability to speak every language in the world. Language is a big part of human's essence and otherwise shouldn't be messing with, just as magic focusing on it is strictly limited.
Using this fact, the genie also finds a loophole - from now on he speaks his secret genie language half of the time, stopping only when it comes to important tasks, because Abdullah "wished to know only one of his languages" and he, apparently, knows more.
This whole puzzle takes new turns, when, while traveling with the carpet, Abdullah meets the solider. Despite claiming being from Strangia, this strange man from the forest starts speaking with them in English in first and then, noticing they're from different country, easily switches to Arabic.
As they wander together, the soliders explains that he is non less confused than they are: he didn't even noticed he could speak English before the passer-byes from Ingary noticed him, and now, being with genie and Abdullah, he also remembered he knows Arabic. He adds that he can't recall anything before his duty in the army, where he definitely used Stangian and nothing else, but it feels like an strong knowledge he has, even If he doesn't remember learning any of this. He decides to wave it off, focusing on the cats and schemes.
The solider becomes a great translator for them along the journey, up to the day the got the inn. He does not understand the secret genie language, though. Especially when from the jinnies and angels they found out there's, in fact, no such a thing as a "genie language"
The story finally clears itself when Midnight and Whippersnapper turn into humans, the Solider turns into a bewitched Prince and the Royal Wizard surprisingly seems to recognize all of the words the genie was — and still is — using.
Charmain runs after Sophie with a long, old dictionary she has found in the Great Uncle Norland's Library. The Royals, of course, gave their honored guest the translator, but the things quickly becomes pretty private, with the search for the gold and all this story with lubboks, so Sophie tells them she's gonna manage it by herself.
To say the Dictionary is heavy is to say nothing: it's huge and thick, containing thousands of words from Ingarian English alone, split by topics, marked with tons of colors an additional moments. Even carrying it around is a whole different type of task.
Half of the time Charmain and Sophie communicate with gestures, context clues and even sounds. When they need to say something really long and complex, they write, leaning on the Dictionary, as it's a bit faster than talking. Still, at some moments Charmain has to flip through the massive pages, searching for the right word with her finger, while Sophie has to do the same. Till the end of the day the both learn some basic words from each other's language, which makes it easier.
The poor nanny has even harder times with Twinkle and Morgan, because she has no idea about what they actually want, except they both whining and crying, one louder than another.
Translator does not come in handy that much, as it looks like these children mix languages everytime when speaking to each other. She has to guess things all over the room to finally get what they need, and usually it's the most useless things ever, like striped pants and a bunch of toy horses falling from the sky.
They see Sophie and Twinkle arguing about something, but no one gets the topic of their screaming, let alone the reason why Sophie is so mad at this angelic child. Charmain asks Sophie about it, because she heard an unusual name along the lines of their quarrels, but Sophie looks too annoyed to explain, mumbling something in her native language with some sort of anger.
The only positive side of it all is that, If Chairman can't understand English, then the lubbocks can't either. Wich means that they didn't have to be as cautious when using Dictionary as they would have to If they understood each other perfectly.
Then she has to climb on the roof, where Twinkle is sitting. Charmain tries to dismiss all his attempts to start a dialogue till she's there, huffing and suffocating as she tries to get the Dictionary with her, trying not to fall.
Twinkle seems to be really proud of himself, saying he knows twice more languages that anyone else in this magical House. Charmain flips through the pages, asking either one of is the one she knows (Norlandian, I assume).
Twinkle says no. For a second Charmaine starts to really understand Sophie's feeling, fighting the urge to hit him on the head with this massive book.
Peter does not communicate with this new guest as much and, luckily, he knows the language Charmain speaks, so they don't have to struggle with a language barrier. The way speaks might be a bit different because of the area he grew up and the amount of hiding and spells he encountered, but there's nothing they can't handle. Luckily.
Calcifer knows the Saucepan song, but other than that his linguistic knowledge is far from perfect, certainly not as good as you'd expect from a fire demon. He also cannot use a Dictionary, because it will burn the second he'll come to close to it, and If this happens their main way of communication is basically gone. He makes up for it, talking with Twinkle, Morgan and Sophie, as well as being expressive enough to understand the basics or what he feels and plans. Sometimes someone (aka Sophie) has to translate what he is saying when she's near, wich is a bit longer than Charmain would wish, but still pretty plausible. She got that he desperately needs his logs, after all.
Twinkle could have used some kind of magical bubble to get them finally understand each other fully, but, again, magic connected with languages is pretty difficult and has its important limits, so it wouldn't last long. Little 30 years old boy is enjoying his childhood, running up the stairs and beating these huge bugs, not as much caring about Charmain all this huge book in her hands.
In the end, (as he turnds out to be) the Royal Wizard Howl is right - the only languages lubbocks can understand is punching.
(Many thanks to my rly good friend @your-queen-shuri for being co-author of this concept. A bunch of ideas here are from her!)

Personally i Hc ghost as a flip, so i 1000% imagine you and ghost with matching pacis?! like hello?! that’d be adorable!!
I’m telling you this man would think you’re so precious and you could definitely get away with causing a ruckus
you’d decorate his skull mask with stickers and he has to use another one because taking the stickers off would be BLASPHEMY!
I imagine he’d give you one of his hoodies with his cologne sprayed on it, so you would have something when he has to go away on long missions.
he’d spoil you on shopping trips. saw a stuffie you might like? already in the cart. a coloring book you glanced at? swipe or insert card and follow instructions on pinpad.
you’d build forts together and watch movies in them. all snuggled up on the floor despite the perfectly fine couch right behind you.
very protective. if someone even dares to look at you wrong they will cease to exist. he will do everything in his power to protect his little one.

so i play this game (genshin impact) and guys seriously if you havent tried it yet PLEASE give it a chance🙏🏻🙏🏻
anyways, as someone who started playing the game since early 2021, ive always imagined new characters being in the game and i would spend alot of time like brainstorming how they'd act, look like, details lore wose etc, and ive FINALLY came up with smth😜
Meet Selene
(the name is not finalized i think but i like it honestly)
Character Overview:
My proposed character, Selene, hails from Khaenri'ah and wields an Electro Vision alongside a signature polearm that emphasizes both elegance and devastating power. A figure shrouded in mystery, Selene walks the fine line between hero and villain, bound by duty yet tormented by a past intertwined with the fall of Khaenri'ah and a hidden truth that could alter Teyvat's future.
In battle, she serves as a high-damage Electro DPS with mechanics centered around lightning-infused slashes, rapid teleportation dodges, and an ultimate that drains enemies energy while amplifying her attack speed. Her signature polearm, Voidfang Spear, crackles with unstable Electro energy, offering a risk-reward system where she grows stronger the longer she remains in combat, but at the cost of increasing vulnerability when not attacking. She'd also be a really good support, depending on how you build her.
She'd be a 5-star and her outfit would be something like this:
Upper body:
Selene wears a fitted, high-collared bodice made of dark, near-black violet silk, embroidered with intricate golden electro sigils that shimmer faintly under light, as if infused with latent energy. The bodice features a subtle sweetheart neckline that enhances her figure without being overly revealing, layered beneath a semi-transparent violet mesh that extends into detached, fingerless gloves wrapping her hands.
The shoulders are adorned with ornate, angular pauldrons of polished obsidian-like metal, edged with gold filigree, giving the impression of lightning arcing through their surfaces. These pauldrons are asymmetrical—one larger than the other, suggesting both an air of authority and unpredictability.
A cropped, open-back jacket made of deep indigo brocade drapes over her shoulders, held in place with a clasp featuring an Electro sigil at the center. The inside lining of the jacket is a soft stormy lilac, subtly illuminated in low light, adding a mysterious, ethereal effect as she moves. The sleeves are long and billowing, slit from the elbow down, revealing the fitted mesh underneath while allowing fluidity in motion. Small gold chains connect the outer sleeves to her rings, creating a subtle chiming sound with every movement.
A golden choker encircles her neck, engraved with unreadable ancient symbols. Attached to it is a thin electro-threaded chain that extends to her collarbone, forming a delicate lightning-shaped pendant that crackles with energy when she fights.
Lower Body:
The lower half of her outfit consists of a layered high-slit skirt made of flowing dark purple chiffon, nearly black at the top and fading into an electric violet hue at the ends. The slits allow for ease of movement while adding an air of dangerous seduction. Beneath the skirt, she wears high-waisted fitted shorts of a soft, matte black leather, embossed with golden lightning streaks that glow faintly when she channels her Vision’s power.
A golden hip chain wraps around her waist, holding multiple small electro-charged trinkets that pulse like caged lightning, an indicator of her power constantly brimming under the surface. Hanging from the chain are two long silk ribbons, one deep purple and one lilac, embroidered with faint Khaenri’ahn text, a subtle nod to her hidden past.
Her boots are knee-high and crafted from midnight black leather, trimmed with golden electro filigree that pulses like veins of lightning when she walks. The heels are shaped like lightning bolts, sleek yet sharp, making a faint, almost imperceptible static crackle with every step. The boots are secured by intricate golden clasps shaped like electro sigils, reinforcing the idea that power courses through every inch of her.
Accessories & Special Features:
• Cape Detail: A half-cape extends from her left shoulder, made of sheer violet silk that seems to shimmer with crackling energy. It is asymmetrical, falling just above the knee, adorned with thin golden threads that resemble lightning dancing across a stormy sky.
• Tattoo-like Electro Marks: Faint golden electro markings trail along her back, disappearing beneath her bodice and reappearing on her wrists. These glow when she fights, surging with power in sync with her emotions.
• Jewelry: She wears multiple golden rings, each embedded with small electro gems that flicker like captured lightning. One larger ring on her left hand is shaped like an eye, hinting at a deeper connection to forbidden knowledge.
• Hair Ornament: A golden hairpin in the shape of a lightning strike through a crescent moon secures part of her hair, signifying balance between destruction and control.
Overall Aesthetic & Presence:
When she moves, her outfit flows like a gathering storm—ethereal yet dangerous, delicate yet utterly commanding. There is a lingering scent of ozone around her, as if the air itself reacts to her presence. Every aspect of her outfit is designed for both power and grace, making it impossible to ignore her when she steps into a room.
Her electro energy hums around her form, making the golden accents on her outfit flicker like stormlight, a warning to anyone foolish enough to underestimate her.
She is both the calm before the storm and the lightning strike that follows.
• Lore Depth: With connections to the Abyss Order, Dainsleif, and the lost civilization of Khaenri'ah, Selene could provide new insights into Genshin's overarching narrative while keeping players engaged with theories and speculation.
• Gameplay Innovation: Her lightning-fast mechanics and high-risk, high-reward playstyle would set her apart from existing polearm users, offering a fresh experience in combat.
• Community Engagement: Many players are drawn to enigmatic, morally complex characters, and Selene would offer a compelling balance of charm, tragedy, and power-making her a fan-favorite.
Possible Role in the Story & Archon Quests:
Selene's presence in the Archon Quests could be deeply intertwined with Dainsleif's journey and the Traveler's search for answers about Khaenri'ah as well as their sibling. Perhaps she was once a protector of the nation, left behind in the ruins, or someone who made a bargain with the Abyss in hopes of uncovering the truth.
Her interactions with the Archons would be intriguing:
• Venti would regard her with a mix of guilt and melancholy, knowing he played no role in saving Khaenri'ah.
• Zhongli would see her as a remnant of a past he could not prevent, though he would respect her strength.
• Raiden Shogun would be wary of her, given Khaenri'ah s history and the destruction it wrought.
• Nahida might be the only one to show her genuine sympathy, attempting to understand her suffering.
• Focalors would likely view her as a tragic case of injustice, potentially wanting to put her on trial.
A Fan-Favorite Character
Selene would instantly gain massive popularity due to her striking design, tragic backstory, and powerful combat mechanics. Players would be obsessed with her possessive, intense voice lines and unique gameplay style, and she would become a top-tier cosplay choice, similar to Raiden Shogun and Eula.
Social media would explode with fan edits, fan art, lore theories, and cinematic animations, making her one of the most hyped characters in Genshin's history. She would also be a marketing goldmine, driving record-breaking banner sales and keeping players engaged with discussions about her past, motivations, and future in the story.
Apology for the Lack of a Sketch
I truly regret that I am unable to attach a sketch of this character, as I am not skilled in drawing. However, I would love to see a character with lore as deep as this one come to life in the world of Genshin Impact. I believe her story, design, and gameplay would captivate the community and make a lasting impact on Teyvat's ever-expanding world.
I want to emphasize that I am sharing this concept purely out of enthusiasm and do not seek financial compensation, credit, or recognition. If HoYoverse ever decides to develop a character inspired by these ideas, I kindly request to remain completely anonymous. My only wish is to contribute to the immersive storytelling and world-building that makes Genshin Impact so special. So I wouldnt mind finding someone who posted something very similar to this as I just like putting my idea out there and I would be very happy to see others with similar ideas as that would mean its a good one.
reblogs, suggestions and all that are greatly appreciated
To whoever actually reads this i promise y'all im NOT a gooner😭 (literally fighting for my life rn)

Not to mention positive role models for men do exist.
You can go political with El Che, Orwell, Thoreau, Martin Luther King, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti.
Inspiring like Einstein, Confucius, Darwin, Stephen King, Shakespeare, Turing, Bethoven, Mickel-Angelo or Jackie Chan.
Fictionnal, like Aragorn, O'Maley, Aang, Tarsan, All the Ghibli men, Bernard and so on !
Hell ! If you are any kind of christian, you fricking god is a man wose whole deal was to be kind and forgiving and respecting woomen.
Why do we just see men as having to be strong, stupid and violent ? Why is our imagination so poor and dry when we want to take inspiration for the "dominant" gender that so many young men in need of a patron figure go to see gurus and rapists ? When did we, as societies, failed men so badly ?
Tumblr media
Maybe the real crisis of masculinity is that none of you people have FRIENDS.

Real life roguelite idea
Real life roguelite idea Rough draft. Imagine a focus on living out randomized lifes, having checkpoints/goals/obstacles be different life events. Things like food + calorie, +3% dopamine , hunger etc. with a meta endgame where you can become god. Each run would start with "parent affixes" (can be influenced eventually). That randomized stats/buffs/debuffs. When you die, youll be visited by an angel/demon and offered to be reincarnated. The better / "better" / "wose" you do effects your ending, and sometimes youre steve from cvs. "Levels" = stages of life (0-4, 5-10 , 11-16, 17-21, 21-29, 30s, 40s, etc).If you live a certain amount of good/excellent lives you can become god, bad can become devil, neutral an agent of chaos. Maybe, even all 3?I always imagine what it would be like to grow up different, maybe other people do too Submitted April 19, 2024 at 10:08PM by Terenai https://ift.tt/aErXvHP via /r/gaming

Bryan K featuring Tamy Moyo and Kayflow glorify the goodness of God in this heartfelt song titled, “Hakuna.”
If you’re looking for a heartfelt Christian song glorifying God, then this song is for you. The song, “Hakuna” was released on 25 September 2023. As mentioned by Innocent Veremu on the Zimsphere Website, Bryan K has always been vocal about his Christian beliefs and how they influence his music. Moreover, the song is inspired by the Gospel hymn that Bryan K grew up singing in church, which translates to “There is no one like Jesus.” Therefore, the beat is emotional showcasing the artist's lyrical prowess with Bryan K’s catchy chorus, Tamy Moyo’s soulful vocals and Kayflow’s heartfelt lyricism. From my point of view, the song is heavily premised on Psalms 42:5 GNT, “Why am I so sad? Why am I so troubled? I will put my hope in God, and once again I will praise him, my saviour, and my God.”
youtube
The music video begins by showing Bryan K singing the chorus accompanied by a hint of drums playing in the background. Moreover, it is interesting that the FLASH MOB DANCING GROUP (UFIC YOUTH) are dancing throughout the chorus that glorifies God. For instance, in the lyrics, Bryan K said:
Ndatsvaga tsvaga kwose / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna / Ndatenderera kwose / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna / Ndafamba famba kwose / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna / Ndafamba famba kwose / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna akaita semi / Hakuna
Which means in English:
I have searched everywhere / There is no one like You / There is no one like You / There is none / I’ve been around / There is no one like you / There is no one like you / There is none / I have travelled everywhere / There is no one like you / There is no one like you / There is none / I have travelled everywhere / There is no one like you / There is no one like you / There is none.
Bryan K’s deep vocals highlight his Christian beliefs of having faith in God and since the chorus sets the tone throughout the track, Tamy Moyo follows suit with her soulful vocals highlighting the goodness of God. For instance, she said:
I’ve been looking so honestly / None can compare Your Majesty / No one like You Lord / None in this whole world/ Hakuna mumwe akaita semi / Saka ndichikudai nemoyo wangu wose / You never left me whenever I was broken / You will listen with your arms wide open (with Your arms wide open) Hukuru wenyu Mwari / I can’t describe it / Hukuru wenyu Mwari / I can't imagine / Ndatsvaga ndashaiwa / Your love is bigger love is greater / Ndafamba famba ndichiona / Pasi rose Hakuna / yeah
Tamy Moyo’s verse is premised in 1 Peter 5:6-7 GNT “Humble yourselves, then, under God’s mighty hand, so that he will lift you in his own good time. Leave all your worries with him because he cares for you.” She is thanking God for always being there for her when she was broken. First, she said, “Saka ndichikudai nemoyo wangu wose, " meaning “So I love you with all my heart.”  In other words, no matter what challenges she faces, she can always rely on God because his love is greater than anything. Second, she said, “Hukuru wenyu mwari, " meaning “Your greatness God.” In other words, she is in awe of His greatness who loves her for who she is and will always be by her side. To add to the heartfelt vocals, the song then progresses to showcase Bryan K’s catchy chorus to highlight the goodness of God.
To finalise the track, Kayflow comes in with his lyricism highlighting the greatness of God. Before he starts rapping, he starts singing when he says:
Chero zvakamira / Mambo tenzi munouya munovhura nzira / Hamumbofuratira / Chero vanouya nekuseri / Munongondichengetedza nekusingaperi / Chero zvakamira / Mambo tenzi munouya munovhura nzira / Hamumbofuratira / Chero vanouya nekuseri / Munongondichengetedza nekusingaperi / Ndatsvaga ini / Ndatsvaga imi / Hakuna hakuna / Akaita semi (akaita semi) / Ndatsvaga ka ini / Hakuna hakuna / Akaita semi.
Which means in English:
Whatever it is / Lord, you come and open the way / You never ignore it / No matter who they come from behind / You will protect me forever / Whatever it is / Lord, you come and open the way / You never ignore it / No matter who they come from behind / You will protect me forever / I have searched for myself / I have searched for you / There is none there is none / Like you (like you) / I have searched for you / There is none there is none / Like you.
It just highlights Psalms 86:8-10 which says, “There is no god like you, O Lord, not one has done what you have done. All the nations that you have created will come and bow down to you; they will praise your greatness. You are mighty and do wonderful things; you alone are God.” From my point of view, Kayflow also seems inspired by his Christian beliefs as he goes on further to rap in the lyrics below:
I’m on a vibe see / NdinaJesu, I was lost / But he found me / Now I’m walking in the valley / Of the shadow of death / It cannot touch me / Blessed is the man on a search / To seek his loving / Ndafamba ndatsvaga / Ndashaya / Hakuna / Akaita semi / Manna mapakira / I was really hungry / Needed food for the soul / Mukauya mukandipa / Now I’m good ndiri bho
With his lyricism, this time he highlights the goodness of Jesus Christ who protects him wherever he goes. Moreover, from my point of view, it points out Psalms 23, “Even if I go through the deepest darkness, I will not be afraid, LORD, for you are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me.”
Towards the end of the music video, ends with Tamy Moyo’s soulful vocals and Bryan K’s catchy chorus. They presented the goodness of God with their artistry with a beat that stayed consistent from start to finish. Moreover, with a mixture of a hint of drums, a violin and a moderate piano sound, the song was heartfelt to listen to. The music was also produced by Bryan K and Nasper Incoming.
In a nutshell, the song, “Hakuna” highlighted Bryan K’s catchy chorus, Tamy Moyo’s soulful vocals and Kayflow’s heartfelt lyricism. Each artist was given a chance to showcase their lyrical prowess and songwriting skills. Their vocals were on point, the music production and the music video were intriguing to watch as well. Therefore, I rate the track 10/10.

a lot of gaians are very obviously trying to forcenormie themselves by perversely fantasising about a society where they have no choice but to be normal, and it's only the more realistic and less suicidal ones who end up fantasising that instead of becoming a wood-wose, they become the shaman in the savage fantasy scenario who, of course, is a fascinating character because they prefigure civilization by enacting things like "building a vehicle that takes you to heaven", "seeing things on the other side of the world" and "fighting all this woodland creature bullshit oh god it doesn't have to be this way" in the same imaginal realm that the gaian is trying to use to escape her problems
So the standard argument against primitivism is about food and medicine. I'm not talking about that argument. Grant for a moment hunter gatherer life, minus famines and infectious disease. I think this life is still much less valuable than life in modern society, and I think this gets at a broader question I struggle with, of "calibrating" our idea of what makes life worth living by history
OK, so what is valuable in life? In my subjective experience, it's mostly beauty and knowledge. Or maybe, as experiences, aesthetic satisfaction and intellectual satisfaction. Learning new things, reading good books, making art, listening to music, going to museums, taking classes, all that stuff.
And Hunter gatherer life is just..worse for this? I mean sure, they genuinely had a lot of free time. But their options were so paltry, for what to do with that time! They lived...not "in nature" in a literal sense, because they influenced their environment so much. But in an unconstructed environment, say. And that's beautiful! The unconstructed environment is beautiful. But like. I can go to that too! And sure, they had an encyclopedic knowledge of their local area. But like. If they wanted to learn other stuff, they were out of luck! That sucks! And they could make art, listen to stories, but surely beauty is so much more than this! Their options were so limited. They could only make with the circumscribed supplies available. And they can see beautiful things, but only those made by their culture, or some nearby ones. Some HGs had long trade routes, but surely almost all of them were only seeing local art. Spending your whole life, only knowing one culture! No reading, just storytelling. Nothing wrong with storytelling, but surely the form of the book allows other things, it's better to have both!
But the point of this post is not anti-primitivism, it's trying to calibrate what I hold valuable. Because it troubles me, to know that the vast majority of human lives were so relatively impoverished in valuable experience. Most people were illiterate, couldn't learn on their own by getting a book. Most people never saw a great painting. They saw sculpture, but only the best in their village. Surely such a life is missing the most valuable parts? But that seems wrong. It seems silly to conclude that most human lives were so much less lived than ours. Surely it was possible to live a good life, as a hunter gatherrer, or a peasant. I mean, obviously it probably wasn't possible to live a good life as like...a slave. I'm not saying ALL lives should have been possible to live well. But surely *most*!
I think the issue here is that actually, most people find human relationships the most valuable part of life. And ofc those were always available. But I'm not sure I get this perspective. I like my human relationships, but I like them for beauty and knowledge reasons. They say interesting and funny things, they teach me things they've read about, they expound new perspectives, they find holes in my logic. But if it was just us, if we weren't all bringing new interesting things from outside some closed community, that would suck! I wouldn't find that nearly as valuable. So that wouldn't be sufficient, for me. But maybe it would be, for most people?
