so I have noticed some people think Ben is boring (trust me I’ve seen it)

so I am here to talk about everything ben and try to explain his character!

This won’t be the best character analysis

as English is not my first language and I'm trying to bring more attention to stuff that's not talked about often.

So I'm going to split this into 6 categories to try to make writing this easier for me so bare with me.

This is going to have a bunch of stuff that are headcanons I'm only including them to show ppl if u can put some thought into it u can get some reasonable ones.

1 | personality

I see a lot of ppl reduce his character to only music and being mute? which really upsets me because he soo so much more,

but making his entire personality music makes me so mad

most headcanons I see are all the same PLEASE I AM TIRED of hearing what kind of songs he listens to that or all ship headcanons titled as Bens 

he's a shy awkward guy we all know that cuz he really just stands in a corner awkwardly scratching his neck most times and he also doesn’t like horror or anything scary (eps 11) 

hes a protective older brother not overly like Tyler where hes more protective of Tay from other people ben is more chill going and more afraid of what life throws at Lily, there’s not much here cuz more points I have fit in the other categories :)

2 | looks 

he looks kinda of basic nobody can deny that so I won't, but because of his past I imagine he would have a bunch of scars ik he doesn’t and that’s a bummer cuz I really wish he had 🥲

After he lost his voice he became super facially expressive but also really good at hiding his emotions so it’s either really easy to read him or really hard no in between. also because of his past bullying, I assume it affected him and the way he presents himself that why he sticks to basic outfits and look,

overall trying not to bring attention to himself even after therapy he stuck to his habit but if someone gave him a little push and helped him he would drop it and start putting thought into his looks,

saw this somewhere I don’t remember where they said he would have curly hair as a kid but his mom didn’t know how to take care of it so they ended up shaving it and i think curly or wavy haired Ben would be so cute also he would look amazing with an eyebrow piercing %100 and uhh I genuinely don’t remember him smiling genuinely in canon so i imagine his with a downturned smile I may be wrong about that idk

3 | hobbies

did I make this a separate category just to talk about him being an artist? yes I absolutely did 🙂↕️

I fear most people forgot about it n honestly and that is criminal 

there is not much said about it in canon but I’ll work with what I have,

he probably didn’t have much artistic skills when he was younger and only started doing it as a distraction and a way to calm down n he probably made himself draw

I feel like red projected onto him in that ifykyk😭

but from the picture Ben draws based on things that happen so he diff draws a bunch of random things he sees and thinks its cool, he would draw everything and everyone and I feel his art style would be more realistic tbh

but Ben also plays guitar, plays piano 

, fight, used to sing, and the medic of the group like what else he do?? he is literally perfect what more can I say here but most of these are not really hobbies but skills he had to learn for the sake of his life 

4 | Past & current 

I’ll talk more here about how his past affects him currently,

I love to think he has a fear of fires because of the fire that burned down his house more of a headcanon tbh

see the pan he burned in that official art? it took him half an hour in his room to calm down his heartbeat and gathering around the campfire is the opposite of relaxing for him

probably hates turtlenecks with his being 

and I want to talk about his voice as that affects him the most what really bothers me about the fandom is that a lot of people ignore the fact that he probably will never speak. 

I see plenty of ppl benlor shippers say 

“he would sing for —-🥺“ “he would whisper to comfort—🥺“ n it makes me wonder are we even talking about the same character???? which is absolute bullshit if he did that he is the one that’s gonna need comfort like please. he would probably never speak unless he sees someone's head gets ripped off there body.

It's said flat out in episode 27

That he has the option to speak but he doesn’t why? Because he hates his voice and if he hates his voice sm he chose to not speak for yearsss what makes u think he would speak for the sake of someone else's comfort when doing that only pains him? he is selectively mute for a reason I'm not saying he doesn’t have a voice but at least if u headcanon him to speak in the future at least let it be for his own sake instead of doing it for someone else or make it about ur ship.

5 | Relationship with family 

Starting with his parents I don’t think they are bad parents at all they tried to help him as much as they could but they couldn’t so they opened up other options and let him move away and heal even if he’s not with them I think what the did is a good choice for their situation and their relationship would still be great tbh considering the distance 

now onto Lily

I honestly can talk about them for days. I love them 

Their relationship is so sweet the way Lily is stuck to him every chance she gets and ah also used to sing to her can you imagine how she felt seeing her brother coming home later and later covered in bruises not singing to her to sleep anymore watching him sneak out 

she basically watched her brother spiral down and then leave she was probably too young to really understand what was going on fully so now she just wants to spend all the time she can with him and he tries to make up for lost time :(

now Aiden 

most people probably forgot Aiden is the closest person to Ben and the same goes the other way around.

Aiden is a life long friend of Ben’s

he literally trusts him, follows him everywhere and lets him decide for him 

they spent most of their time together since Ben moved in they live together there stuck together.

Aiden probably helped him a lot mentally helping him try new things and be more carefree

Ben also probably helped him mentally and physically patching him up and looking out for him overall,

I see some Aiden fics that are like “Oh no Ben’s gonna be so upset at me 😖” and they make him act like a nurse, not a friend and he just bandages him up then leaves as if nothing happened and someone else comes and in does all the comforting 

like I can count all the fics where Ben acts like a decent person and I'd still have more fingers up than down,

it’s so upsetting how ignored their relationship is in this fandom they deserve so much more honestly.

6 | Relationship with friends 

he is definitely the therapist friend 

He is that kind of friend that you can tell everything to him going from weird food to the worst time of your life and won't even realize it 

his friendship with Ash is very chill not the closest I'd say,

they're really just trying to keep their peace lmao

his friendship with Taylor

I imagine them as gossip girls tbh Ben being a quiet kid while Taylor is popular they definitely know some good gossip 

his friendship with Tyler is something he used to find him irritating but then he realized they have a lot in common especially when Tyler was teaching him guitar which was precise since he was the one who offered 

and his friendship with Logan 

it's really sweet Logan would try to teach him gardening while they talk about their interests

and be absolute nerds together lmao

overall the friendship between all of them is really sweet ik I didn’t give it justice here but the found family trope and the way they find comfort in each other is just everything to me

oh my guy is also very much someone who gets very hyperfixated on stuff, chances are once u become close enough, both of you would start rambling/infodumping onto each other and would accidentally get into whatever the other one is hyperfixated on lmfao. like one day you'd come up to him and just ramble for 15 mins about some historical event and next day he would call you at 2am and go "GIRL THATS NOT EVEN THE FULL STORY GUESS WHAT I LEARNT ABOUT THAT" and viceversa.

since both of you are on the quieter side, chances are you might not speak every single day, but whenever you do speak, you could spend hours doing nothing but that. he's a very pleasant person to have long talks with and he would always be super interested in whatever you talk to him about

he's dumb as bricks when it comes to school stuff and struggles to study as much as you– but since you get good grades, he would come to you for help. which would lead to VERY chaotic but thoroughly enjoyable studying sessions lol.

he would always be so eager to play volleyball with you, regardless of how good you are. if you're on a lower level than him, he would tease you about it but also be very patient and explain everything to you a thousand times if need be (in his own way of course, which would probably include at least a few insults each time, but it's all in good nature)

he would very much enjoy just watching you draw/paint in silence or while listening to music. he finds it fascinating & very calming

he would be so shy whenever he includes you in streams and people say you two look cute together

The two of you got ready together in the bathroom, with him lending you a hand whenever you needed help with your outfit or hair. When you sat in the entryway to put your shoes on, he kneeled before you to help. “You don’t need to do all that.” you laughed. But you were now used to Devon’s habit of treating you like a real gentleman. “It’s not because I need to, that I do that, it’s because I want to.” You sighed with a smile on your lips.  You unlocked your car, and the headlights immediately illuminated your steps. You were about to hop into the driver’s seat, but Devon stopped you. “I’m going to drive tonight.” “Why? It’s my car, I’m going to give you a ride.” He took the keys from your hands and led you to the passenger seat. “In heels? I don’t think so.” You looked down at your feet : he wasn’t wrong… You capitulated and let him close the door behind you once you were seated. You spent the short trip talking about theater experiences, which plays you had already seen, which ones you would like to see someday… and it turned out that Devon had already seen quite a few. “I didn’t know you liked theater so much.” you said. “Oh… It started when I went to see one with my class in high school. Some people find it boring because it might be less ‘immersive’ than movies. But I like the dramatic acting, the fact that all the emotions are so vividly portrayed by the actors… It’s like looking at a living piece of art, it’s not necessarily grandiose, but it can move you deeply. It’s breathtaking.” Your eyebrows raised slightly at his description of a play. “Wow… I’ve never imagined it this way, but I guess you’re right.” He chuckled. “Sorry, maybe I went to far.” “No, not at all! The way you describe it is kind of… Romantic? I like it.” His gaze drifted away from the road for a moment, and he smiled at you. You took his outstretched hand and ended the ride in comfortable silence.

Once in front of the massive and beautiful building, you gasped in awe. “Pretty isn’t it?” He said. “You’re kidding me? It’s ethereal! I never went to the theater of the city yet, I didn’t know it was such a beautiful ancient building.” Devon simply smiled at you, offering his arm for you to take. You adopted an exaggerated posture, acting like a noblewoman. “What a gentleman! Thank you sir.” He laughed. “My pleasure milady.” Once seated, you listened to Devon explain what the play was about. It was a tragedy, with its little touch of romance: two people falling in love, the man: an artist, the woman: a simple woman of the working class trying to survive in a century where poverty was the biggest plague. You eagerly followed the act, and never had you understood so well what Devon meant by saying that the dramatic acting heightened his emotions. Everything was so moving and passionate, it gave you goosebumps.You instinctively reached for Devon’s arm and rested your head against it. He welcomed your gesture by adjusting his position slightly to make you comfortable before resting his chin on the top of your head. Entangled, the two of you watched the play with undisguised wonder. When you finally exited the theater, you were still completely shaken by what you had just seen. “What did you think of it?” asked your boyfriend. “It was amazing! I haven’t seen a play this good since... well, Romeo and Juliet?” “It’s a classic that never gets old, don’t worry.” he chuckled “But yeah... my mother didn’t take me to a lot of classic plays. I’ve seen a lot of contemporary ones, though.” “Contemporary plays are good too! Both are always nice to watch from time to time. But I’m glad you liked this one. It’s the second time I’ve seen it, and it still has the same effect on me... like you, in fact: I could never get tired of seeing you.” You giggled like a teenager, your face blushing.  “You can be so cheesy sometimes.” He simply smiled, giving you a fond peck on the cheek.

When the two of you got back home, it was already around 11 PM, almost midnight, and your stomach was rumbling; the evening full of emotions had made you hungry. “Do you want to eat something?” asked Devon. “Oh no, I’ll simply get myself a little snack.” But Devon wasn’t going to let you do it by yourself. He took your shoulders in his hands and gently pushed you to sit on the couch. “No, no, no… I said this evening was for you. Let me fetch you a royal snack as your loyal servant.” He posed like a butler and went to the kitchen while you burst into laughter. “Devon, you’re too much!” “It’s never too much if it’s for you, love.” he winked. You sighed and stretched your legs on the couch. “Would you like an 'after-party aperitif'? There's some guacamole left, with tortilla chips.” “Hmm, yes that sounds good!” you answered. When he finally put all the bowls, glasses and drinks aesthetically in a tray, he put it on the low table of the living room, in front of you before taking a seat beside you while you were removing your feet to make room for him on the couch. You took his cheek in your hands and brushed it with your thumbs, smiling before gently kissing his lips. “Thank you, dear… You’re a real angel.” He chuckled smoothly, giving back the compliment to you with an endearing look. “Everything for you.” You picked a tortilla chips and dipped it in the fresh guacamole with envy and relished the taste with pure joy. “Just what I needed.” He poured the drink he brought in your respective glasses before heading one to you. “Cheers?” he asked. “To us!” He laughed and clinked his glass with yours. The night started and ended really well. The two of you ended up relaxing with your snacks in the living room, the TV on, but you were more focused on the memories you were sharing while chatting.  It definitely was a memorable evening.

SUDDENLY ANCIENT, BRITISH FKN VICTORIAN GHOSTS EMERGE AND START BALLROOM-DANCING??? <-This was the SECOND TIME. LATELY. I DREAMED OF GHOSTS TRYING TO HURT ME IN MY DREAMS. It’s been over a month I’m so sorry 😭😭😭 it’s here now, and there are some things that didn’t make it into this post, but that just means more parts!

Guy started showing up on stream more often than he did in chat. Though, to protect his privacy, he wears sunglasses and a face mask.

Every time he seems to have a different set.

A face mask with a smiley face, or maybe it's rainbow colored, or (his favorite) a pizza pattern. Sometimes he wears one that is plain black with a small heart in the middle (honey likes to kiss the heart but not on stream ofc).

As for the glasses, I made this post talking about those ;w;

Every time he buys a new pair Honey has to go in and change out the lenses for darker ones so no one can see his eyes. They are very particular with Guy staying anonymous, they care about his safety more than they care about anything.

And unless he's willing to carry pepper spray and a pocket knife with him while he works, he is not allowed to show his face.

He loves how protective honey is, he thinks it's the cutest damn thing.

Sometimes while sitting next to them on camera he'll slowly start to lower his face mask just so Honey will hold his face "to keep the mask on".

Honey looks to their right to see Guy eyeing them while slowly lowering the face mask. They roll their eyes and huff, practically throwing their controller onto the desk in front of them. They take Guy's face in their hands, squishing his cheeks, and give him a hard glare.

It goes on for a few seconds, Honey's intense gaze boring through him. They lean a bit closer and their forehead presses against his, never breaking eye contact.

"Stop doing that shit," they say in a low voice that makes Guy's knees feel weak. "Please," they add quietly, and all he can do is nod.

The fanart increased, and this time it wasn't weird because people had more of an idea as to what Guy looked like.

Guy still thinks it's adorable, and he has taken to finding ways to share this incredible art with the world in many ways.

He likes to print out the pictures and hang them on the fridge.

He calls the people in chat his children.

His stories are… interesting

First there's a picture of a grasshopper he found outside with the caption "look at this dood", then you see a really blurry photo with the caption "ASGFKDGFGSJ HALP ITS EVIL".

They're chilling on the couch, their legs draped over Guy's, and he turns the camera towards them with a cat face filter.

Honey immediately realized what they'd done and a hand flew over their mouth. They were kneeling next to Guy within seconds.

They cupped his face, "holy shit, are you okay!? Let me see-"

Guy's glasses had been punched off his face, but since he was on the floor, Chat couldn't see.

He had tears in his eyes though he was laughing and saying he was fine.

Honey felt so fucking bad.

"No, Honey, I'm fine really. You don't have to- no! Oh noo, Honey don't cry!"

They weren't crying, they were just… teary.

A lot just happened all at once. They got scared, and they punched their boyfriend in front of around 200k people, and they're pretty sure his nose is broken. Leave them alone.

Guy pulled off his face mask, revealing his bruised, bloody nose. Yeah. That's broken.

Honey's eyes were full of so much guilt, you'd think they murdered someone's puppy.

They did.

Their puppy.

They said sorry so many times, they sounded like a broken record. They held Guy, with their face buried in the crook of his neck, mumbling apologies, before finally coming to their senses and turning off the stream to take Guy to the hospital.

He wasn't mad at them. Of course he wasn't.

But Honey was mad at themself, because how could they ever hurt Guy like that!?

He insisted it was fine, that he understood it was a reflex, and that he shouldn't have scared them (because he knows they react violently).

Regardless, Honey sucked up to him so much while his nose was healing, let me tell you.

They babied him, they coddled him, they waited on him hand and foot.

Guy hated that they felt so guilty, but he was getting so much love and affection, so…

He wasn't even that badly hurt, these two are just dramatic

After that little fiasco, Guy's account now has a special alert to let Honey know that he's in chat (so he doesn't go do something stupid like that again).

At first the sound was a little ding noise, but then Guy changed it.

Now it starts playing the jaws theme.

If you don't mind my asking; how did you develop your art style? I've been trying to work on developing my own style but I don't know where to even start. Your style seems so well developed, and I utterly adore it.

;w; its so kind of you to say so!! thank you!! I wish I could offer some insightful or exciting advice haha but I do have a short and a long answer!

the short answer: its the boring yet tried and true tip youll hear from everyone 😭😭 it all comes from a lot of practice over a lot of time!!

i kind of hate hearing that too because it seems dismissive BUT the practice isnt just drawing as much as possible, its also looking at art from other people, paying attention to the colors n shapes n composition around you, and at times just Thinking...

the long answer: style is ... hard to pinpoint! and in some ways, aiming to have your own very distinct style (and that being your main goal) can be restricting. focusing on that can keep you in a box of what's recognizable as Yours and hesitant to experiment or make changes. Ive seen some people who get hung up on making themselves a Brand draw no differently today than they did 10 years ago because they admit making changes or venturing into new subjects/styles "flop".... (and if your livelihood comes from selling art or merchandise and you rely on engagement to pay your bills thats another thing but as a hobby artist myself im talking more about a goal of just getting better at your craft in a way that makes you, personally, happy and satisfied and proud of it vs making what an audience wants to see and feeling rejected in pursuing other creative endeavors)

a lot of style development just progresses naturally over time as you absorb more art around you and train your mind to distinctly pick out what you like about other artwork and why. :] its all about the influence and how you incorporate that into your own work! so many of my artistic choices come from other artists, and the more you draw and the more you study other art, it becomes something thats a unique blend of You, even if not necessarily something immediately and strikingly unique that anyone could recognize as yours, its You cuz of the choices made in it and all the influences you enjoyed enough to pick up.

for me, it was pretty much doing studies + compiling an "inspiration/reference" folder (for doing studies) :3 ive been doing that since I was in elementary school and just drawing on loose leaf college ruled paper... I started out copying drawings in the funny papers we got on sundays, going to the library to get those "history of disney" kinda books that show a lot of cels or concept art, googling looney tunes screenshots to copy... it was So much copy, copy, copy. in my teen years it was shonen jump, i'd trace panels from naruto and one piece and shaman king, i'd freehand it, i'd redraw pages in my own way... and more recently ive kept it up with other interests (opening a catalog of model cars and filling sketchbook pages with car drawings... taking photos of cool scenery or bugs i see and blocking out the composition to figure out Why it looks appealing... going through an invertebrate zoology textbook and drawing creatures to understand their shapes/distinguishing features so i can anthropomorphize them in fun ways)

it might seem contradictory that spending a lot of time copying stuff leads to something thats your own but it does!! so much of art really does come from that internal library you build up, and building it up happens thru all that observation and exercising your hand to match up movements with the images in your head, and gaining experience + refining memory of how certain things are built or shaped or constructed. thats probably the number one tip i'd give to anyone who wants art advice... get a little sketchbook thats JUST for your eyes, and fill it totally up with stuff you copy. youll learn SO much and feel really refreshed for your own original works!

and if you feel discouraged, keep in mind that things tend to look better from an outside perspective! you see my art as having a developed style, and i very much appreciate that comment cuz to me, it's jumbled haha. i can draw the same character in very different ways in the same day... even the way i draw hands varies depending on what set of ocs I'm playing with. each of my stories presents some different artistic choices, and draws from a few different inspirations, so even if all the characters and the ways i draw them are recognizable as my art, they would still look a bit strange if they were all together because I have multiple "styles" ehehe

so in short, rock on with making art thats enjoyable for you and dont let an idealistic goal of a distinct style hinder you from having fun with the process & being proud of what you make. cuz honestly if you hold out waiting for the moment of realization that youve developed a style, you might never have that moment! not for lack of having anything distinct about your art, but just because its natural to be more critical and lost in the details of your own work than an audience would be. you likely already have aspects in your art that are recognizable as yours! consistency is good in some regards (like animation or comics) but dont be hesitant about trying things that are new or drastically different from your usual!

I'M SOSORRY I DIDN'T ANSWER YOUR ASK EARLIER but i do mostly come up with poses in my imagination or use the 7,000 screenshots i've saved for references so either way you would need some references at one point or another,,, though i do have something that really helped me make my (somewhat more dynamic??) poses look better!!

That being "Make a small silhouette of the pose" which is what i used to draw the pose in my Roseate Desire E.G.O. Adam sketch! its really helpful

Basically you open a canvas size that you usually use and zoom in (not too much!!) into one of the corners and use the Pen Fade brush ( if you use ibis paint) with a gray color to start making the silhouette. This helps me because I can see the proportions and how the pose looks like right now before I make the sketch, and because when I flip the canvas and see some flaws in the silhouette, its easier to fix!! Although if it's hard for you to sketch certain body parts because they overlap in the silhouette, you can use different shades to make the certain parts of the silhouette stand out, thus making it easier to sketch them later on :3

A bit of a visual representation with Adam. Though I do have to say - Don't draw hair or the clothes of the character in the silhouette!! It will only make it more confusing, so just draw the body itself, because (in my opinion) it will be better if you sketch the hair and the clothes on top of the body, thus having some guide with where everything lays on ("Where is the coat gonna be on the torso", "Where will the hair start" and etc etc). Plus whenever I draw the silhouette, the sketch looks much more clean than just sketching from the start

Also this is just a general tip but FLIP THAT CANVAS it could help you identify flaws in the silhouette or the sketch so you could fix them before doing your lineart. And also do note that this tip works best for digital art, as I don't think that this will work well for traditional,,,

HELLOOO yeah I can explain that bc it probably doesn't make any sense for new followers and all that, sorry if this is too long idk how to keep things short 😭 I was ok with the character at first like she's just a boring background character with no personality, whatever. Even if she's extremely overrated for no reason, again I was ok with that because it's whatever.

The thing is people started mentioning her in things like MY POSTS that had nothing to do with her and making gross comments about Yellow because of that character. Comments like "omg its so funny that he has the brain of a child and still had sex in front of everyone look how cute he looks in this art but he's a pervert 😍🥰". Go on Tiktok for five minutes under the tag and I'm sure you'll find them, I'm not making this up.

And they completely forgot Yellow is his own character outside of Claire. Making jokes about him being a pervert, being "so horny he forced her to have sex at work" and also hating on people who hc him as aroace because "hE's mArRied😡😡" and imo he was never 'married' it was just an illusion that lasted a day. But finding a Claire fan that wasn't like that was super hard. So I just decided to straight up say I hate the character so people stop mentioning her and being gross in my posts.

Even when I genderswapped the characters, (Yellow is a kid in my personal hc) I had them under my posts saying how lucky Claire would be to [insert inappropriate comments about the things they would do to that version of Yellow that was obviously drawn as a child. Super rapey. I don't even want to remember.]

TLDR: my problem is mostly the fans, but I've been through hell with Claire fans. Some of them are so disgusting and obviously into underage and noncon. Its really fascinating! Also, there are some theories that Capitano is Imunlaukr from Sal Vindagnyr (iirc its from Dragonspine?) One of the founding clans of Mondstadt. And then there's "Menogias (the Geo Yaksa) = Capitano" Theory too. There are a lot of theories about him still going around to this day 😂 and i just consume all of it

8. What do you like most about your own work?

...I feel like the thing I get complimented on most is the colors, but tbh? i like how ..flexible? I am sometimes. like I feel pretty good saying I can switch up my style pretty drastically when I feel like it, which is a nice thing to be able to do. (I owe it to yrs of trying to imitate very specific anime styles LMAO)

...this is gonna sound SO conceited but I had a hard time picking bc I liked a lot of drawings from last year (which is funny considering I dont think I did that many compared to other years...)

i kind of want to say one from my ekleipsis illustration series just bc they are SO different from my regular cutesty style, it was FUN doing smth so out of my comfort zone!

like, whos style is this? certainly not my Usual, does not feel like a ME drawing but thats kinda why I liked it a lot...felt like I was proving a point to myself 😭 all of them in that series are kinda like this bc the story had borderline horror fantasy elements lol

24. How do you deal with artblock?

it Depends. the thing abt art block is that it happens for different reasons (at least in my case) and its easier to fix when i know WHY its happening. dont feel like working on a comm? thats a self-discipline issue, gotta prioritize it, its a job I am being paid for, so Gotta do those. (even if usually fun, art block has been known to happen w them before lol) not liking a drawing and getting frustrated so I dont wanna keep working on it? skill issue or lacking technical knowledge probably, time to dig for refs or do studies. bored of looking at the current drawing? well now the issue is I Need to figure out how to make it more interesting, or go work on smth else for a while. and honestly a lot of the time it personally helps me a lot to just...step away from art for a bit. maybe a few weeks or even months before...during that time I focus on other art forms (like, I'll not draw but write or craft or smth) OR just try to find new artists, and sit and analyze THEIR work. what do I like abt their styles? what makes it work? i find it helps me appreciate my own art more when I love other ppls, esp when I see speedpaints or smth and can appreciate their processes too ^_^ and having fresh eyes after a while of not drawing is...nice? refreshing...weirdly enough lol.

24. what am i proud of myself for?

if i said "staying alive" then it would be true but rlly short and boring, so i'll say that applying for a job! it'll be hard for a Lot of reasons, but passing up that opportunity would be a crime, its fit for me perfectly! (its a bakery!! and im diabetic!! how ironic XD) time to kick the social anxiety in the ass and do something with my life 😭

12. what's some good advice i wanna share?

oh damnn, i rlly wondered what to write here so it wouldn't get super depressing and personal. and i don't think that i have any universal advice, cuz its all things that worked out for me in very specific situations. but something real important to me would be to never try to imitate someone, cuz it just stalls your progress. in everything. whether it's that you wanna look like someone, you envy their lifestyle, personality, or hell, even wanting to make art like they do. people are like they are or do things like they do because of so much circumstances and experiences combined together, so referencing one person for everything is never gonna work. you'll never be like them because you are you, and you'll be beautiful and do beautiful things in your own, individual way. and having one point of reference never works out because it just makes you stuck with one perspective, unopen to improvement.

(↑ this came out so unintentionally deep, lmao. i certainly didn't mean it to be so, and i hope i conveyed my point well cuz words hate me today)

5. what made me start my blog?

yay, ending on a lighter note! the short answer is: fandoms. i really liked how smaller, less overwhelming (?) tumblr is when it comes to things you wanna look at, so when i was balls deep in a hyperfixation i went to tumblr and surrounded myself with only that one thing :3 and i found out it fits me more in how the whole, how do you say it, format? looks and works. i got more active when i made a new blog when my previous got deleted and elongated muskrat started fucking twitter up, so i guess im kind of a twitter refugee XD it worked WONDERS for my mental health, i tell ya. now its my "main" social media that i spend time on :3

I think I’d pair you up with Calem!

It might take a little while for you to warm up to each other— Calem is definitely polite and affable, but he seems to have trouble making new friends on his own. Since you’re very similar in that regard, the two of you probably just exchange small talk for the first few months, shifting awkwardly when your friends have left you alone together; it isn’t until Shauna practically takes you both by the hand and leads the conversation that the two of you really begin talking. In turn, I think Calem would be pretty good at keeping you on track; it does take a lot of discipline to be able to commit yourself to your goals and actually get somewhere with your dreams, so thankfully you’ve got him by your side. To most other people, Calem is definitely a bit blunt, not mincing his words— but since he knows you so well, he’s learned how to support you. If you need to talk out ideas, he’s more than willing to listen, ask questions as you pinpoint details; if you need help getting your hands on something for a project, he’s happy to help you with that too. Calem is always available to try one of your newest recipes, to give you feedback on a sketch or a painting, to pick up the second controller if you need a player two. He knows he’s not very good at voicing his feelings, so he hopes he can just show you instead.

3. Ppl really say interesting shits for their fav colour but I actually just don't have one lol. I've been trying to figure this out for 3/4 of my life and I simply give up. SOME PPL JUST DON'T HAVE A PERSONAL IDENTITY OK 😭😭 lol but I think the reason for this is because I love creating art a lot (🎨!) and that means I love colour combinations! I like when colours mish mash n do wicked jiggly stuffs n not just be.. i dunno... GREEN. Isn't that boring? I mean LOOK AT THE POTENTIAL YOU COULD'VE BECOME

Ok lol look at hyperactive me answering questions that haven't been asked yet so yes I LOVE ART!! ❤️ Love all kinds of art, that means I draw, paint, make music, write poetries and whacky angsty heartbreakingly cliched short stories. I can also be found making music/wandering round the impressionism section in galleries very very creepily at around 9pm.

I actually like Rafa for a very personal reason because his work ethic and general outlook on life helped me get through one of the toughest, depression periods of my life around the same time he was also struggling the most in his form during his career (2015). He kept on getting up, kept on running, and won that bloody french open and that was the first time I actually thought you know what? Let's keep on going, let's keep on hoping, you'll never know!

I'n the least judgmental person in the world and I honestly think ppl disliking someone just because of their 'vibe' or their habitual attitudes are just lame.
