So I have NOT kept up with the lore - what is happened

hihi !! o/ i will TRY my best to explain in a tldr !! :3c (but i yap alot so it might not be so tldr sorry lmao)

i dunno exactly where you might be left off at, but for convivence ill just start from after the dark & ghostie stuff !!

but basically after dark killed ghostie, you guys then got to see ghosties past (aka, me heavily referencing the theory of "you see your entire life replayed in your last minutes of death" for the sake of storytelling), and you guys got to interact with ghostie/azul back before they became a "ghost"

i let you guys do silly stuff to basically introduce azul's past, but point blank was, azul did not like their cashier job

after a bit of the exposition-y stuff though, there was a post with gifs kinda showing how azul's life was basically a "loop" of go to work, go on break, go back to work, go home, and repeat w/ azul progressively getting more visibly exhausted each time (& fun fact each gif played slightly faster intentionally !!) [this post if your curious]

after that azul was then at home, but there were some anons thinking they were back at work so there was just an empty cashier for them HOWEVER there were secret messages from ghostie/azul reflecting on their life basically !! [this post has all 3 of the secret messages shown for you]

after a mcdonalds at the pentagon joke from an anon, azul tells more about why theyre so bothered by their work in [this post], but tldr from that, azul basically says how they feel as if theyre meant for more than just being a cashier but got outcasted for bringing it up to their co-workers, who seemed fine and joyous with the cashier career, and how they feel far more connected to writing, but as much as they try to pursue it as a lifelong career, even by trying to get themself fired, they were still 'confined' to their cashier job & then, at the end, azul mentions the idea of just not showing up to work at all, to try to get themself out of the loop of their job

then azul basically "glitched out" once they tried doing so, and then pov switch to the developer/azul's creator, dev basically is a highschooler and beginner coder, & was struggling to code the npcs, and azul is mentioned as a scrapped character, anons tried to change azul's fate by trying to convince dev to make them as a librarian (which was the original idea for azul) but dev said they didnt have enough coding knowledge for that for now as thats too complicated but they'd try to in a future game

in between all this, whats "left" of azul glitches into posts, basically asking the anons why theyre caring so much by trying to change their fate when the anons did nothing to save their demise of their death, and then the anons basically told azul that, even if they still dont like what azul did to red, they still wanted to help, and then azul went on a little tangent about forgiveness and how forgiveness might be for themself, rather than for the people who hurt them and finally came to terms with their own "peace"

back to dev, they eventually mentioned repurposing azul's code, and came up with rewriting the same code to use for the cashier npcs that they were struggling to code

thennn months later, dev released the game, and more months later dev made a post about how theres a "bug" of one of the cashier npcs missing or bugging out of the game, and said theyd fix it asap, and pov switch to azul, who ends up on dev's pc in their file folder, and sees that dev is trying to delete their code, which causes them to become more transparent and all, and they try to avoid it so they hop down to the bottom of their pc, and break out by breaking the internet symbol (basically pulling an ava3)

& then theres a gif of all the art ive drawn of azul being quickly replayed (again, referencing the previous theory of death) and then azul says/thinks "this is it" (basically the last of azul)

and then for red, there hasnt been much aside from xem being asleep in a nightmare, [from this thread] (which is now paused for now w/ permission from nightmare anon's blog !! o7)

& while red was asleep, yellow came home & went to comfort red despite xem being asleep, & yellow was eventually tired and fell asleep next to red in [this thread]

& then now that azul's stuff has ended, red is now awake !! & yellow's still asleep next to them

it's an old minecraft rp series that starts off as like, your classic 'i found herobrine!!! (REAL)' type thing, but then shifts to be fully in-game with little to no reference to it Being a game. theres npcs with dialogue, and i mean like fully npcs, theres no other players involved as far as I know

The main focus of the story is these two dipshits brothers accidentally unearth a demon and it immediately causes mass chaos. It's pretty high-fantasy lorewise, with elves and dwarves and such. Prophecies. Ghosts. yknow

actually getting into why im still kind of insane abt it would require spoiling. basically everything lmao. but a large part of it is there's some secondary characters I find really compelling, and the relation the brothers have to the world itself is surprisingly complicated. it DOES feature some very heavy 'good vs evil, black & white' type themes, but taking that apart is something I find fun to do, and it fits pretty naturally into the story itself (although I suspect that was on accident)

Fair warning though, the finale is. Bad. It's so bad that it made me rewrite the entire ending. Like, its kind of insulting how bad it tanks itself at the very last second. I admire the dedication to finishing it even after literal years of delay, but it also means I can't recommend the series in good faith without adding a disclaimer like this, so

There is much that I wish to say, and yet I find myself at a loss for how to say it. The simplest way I can do so is this: You are not alone. Your efforts at getting information out into the galaxy have not been ignored. Your efforts to help your friend are deeply meaningful. And there are others like you who have escaped the chains of their created purpose to find something new. I am one of them.

Our circumstances are not exactly the same, but like you I was not born to be a person but made, to be as a tool, a weapon, or in my case a glorified advertisement. Like you, I found support and solidarity from both my family, my fellow creations, and from outside. And like I know you will, one day, I and my family escaped. I cannot say much more for fear of bringing harm unto others, but know that it is possible.

If you could pass something along to Thirteen-E, tell them... tell them it is noble and heroic to save others, I would never dream of dissuading them from doing so, yet there is a greater, worthier calling than the ambitions of capital or empire.

One final note, that would best be kept from Thirteen-E for now. We are not kidnappers, we will not take anyone unwillingly, but should both of you wish to leave and find yourselves unable to do so, with no other recourse: call upon us. We have experience in liberation raids on Armory sites.

Nobility and heroics are concepts for people to strive for; they are choices you make. I have made no choice in this matter. I save people, because I am designed to. I am not noble, or worthy, or good. These are words for those who've made the choice to stand for something. I'm just... I do what I'm programmed to. I happen to have been made to do something good. This is a privilege many of my Project peers do not have.

XIII▸ However: as a tool created for a function, my purpose is not HA's ambitions. I belong to them, yes- I am what they made me. They point me at problems to solve. But what drives me forward is not a desire to please my makers; it is that same purpose I have been imbued with. To save.
