Sustainability in Fashion Design: A Woman's Impact on the Industry
Turning our attention to the field of fashion design, women are revolutionizing the sector and guiding it in the direction of sustainability. The conventional fashion industry has frequently been linked to environmental issues, including excessive waste and unethical behavior. On the other hand, female designers are becoming the change agents, paving the path for a more ethical and ecological approach to fashion.
Women are leading the way in the field of sustainable in fashion design, using circular fashion principles, eco-friendly materials, and ethical production processes. These creative women are leading the fashion industry to embrace more and more eco-friendly techniques including upcycling, zero-waste design, and using organic fabrics. These methods benefit the environment as well as consumers, who are becoming more and more interested in sustainable options.
Let's delve into the impact women are making in the realm of sustainability in fashion design.
Choosing Eco-Friendly Materials:
Women designers are leading the charge in opting for materials that are gentle on the planet. From organic cotton to sustainable hemp and recycled fabrics, their choices reflect a commitment to reducing the environmental footprint of fashion.
2.Innovative Design Techniques:
Sustainability in fashion design goes beyond fabric choices. Women designers are embracing innovative techniques like zero-waste designs, where every scrap of fabric is utilized, leaving no room for waste. It's a creative approach that minimizes the industry's impact on the environment.
3. Upcycling and Recycling:
Imagine turning old garments into fresh, stylish pieces. Women designers are at the forefront of the upcycling movement, repurposing discarded clothing to breathe new life into fashion. Recycling practices ensure that materials have a second life, contributing to a circular fashion economy.
4. Ethical Production Practices:
Beyond the design studio, women designers are focused on the entire production journey. Ethical practices, fair wages, and safe working conditions are paramount. It's about ensuring that the beauty of fashion doesn't come at the cost of human welfare.
5. Circular Fashion Concepts:

7. Consumer Education and Awareness:
Women designers are not just creating fashion; they're also educating consumers. Through transparent practices and storytelling, they empower consumers to make informed choices. Awareness about the environmental impact of fashion is a key aspect of their design philosophy.
8. Incorporating Tech for Sustainability:
Harnessing technology, women designers are exploring sustainable practices like 3D printing and waterless dyeing techniques. These advancements reduce the environmental toll of traditional manufacturing methods, pushing the industry towards a more sustainable future.
9. Leading by Example:
Women designers serve as role models, inspiring others in the industry to embrace sustainability. Their influence extends beyond their creations, shaping the attitudes and practices of brands, consumers, and fellow designers.
10. Creating a Greener Future: Ultimately, women designers are not just creating fashion; they are architects of a greener future. Their impact extends far beyond the runway, resonating with consumers who are increasingly seeking fashion that aligns with their values of environmental responsibility. In summary, it is impossible to overestimate the significance of women in business. Their efforts are essential for achieving success, encouraging teamwork, and reshaping sectors of the economy toward sustainable and ethical behaviors. While we honor the contributions made by women in business, we also acknowledge that their influence touches many other areas of society and helps create a more just and sustainable future

Femme Fatale Guide: Lingerie Essentials Every Women Should Own
Simple everyday bra and underwear sets in black and nude that match your skin tone: Think of items like a lined bra and seamless thong/bikini panty set. My favorites are the SKIMS Fits Everybody Push-Up Bra paired with the matching Fits Everybody Thong and the Natori Feathers bra paired with the Natori French Cut Briefs.
Sexy yet practical bra and underwear sets: Sexier options you can still wear every day and look good under your clothes. Consider an all-lace or animal print bra with coordinating all-lace or sheer underwear – love the bra options from Chantelle, Natori, Cosabella, and Simone Perele (these are pricey, so I look for them on sale) paired with Natori or Cosabella underwear. My favorite styles are the Natori Push-Up bras (I'm super flat-chested, so I need it for my clothes to fit properly, lol – otherwise the Natori Flora Contour Underwire Bra is stunning) with the Cosabella Never Say Never Comfie Thong & Natori Bliss Allure Lace Full Brief.
Ultra-sexy bra and underwear sets: Less so for clothes, more for yourself or for show. I love Fleur Du Mal for these bra/underwear lingerie sets.
Strapless bra: Natori Feather Strapless Bra. Thank me later!!
Lace bralette: Something comfortable that still feels a bit sexy. I love the options from Journelle, Cosabella, and Natori.
Satin/silk robe: To wear after the shower or around the house. Lilysilk, Victoria's Secret, Cosabella, and Fleur Du Mal have great options.
A quality pair of black tights: I love HUE and Wolford! The control top ones always feel the best for me, personally.
Sheer black thigh-highs with lace-stay-up detailing: Natori Feather range ftw yet again!
Sheer black tights with or without back seam detailing: Hue and Wolford, always!
Simple bodysuit/shapewear bodysuit: The SKIMS ones are great.
Elevated shapewear bodysuit (in a fabric like satin, lace, or vegan leather): I love the Spanx Shaping Satin Thong Bodysuit and the Commando Faux Leather bodysuit – perfect to wear with a pair of jeans and a blazer.
High-waisted sculpting underwear: SKIMS Seamless Sculpt is my favorite (runs on the smaller side!)
Satin slip dress: Can be worn at home or with a blazer/leather jacket for a night out.
Fully lace or lace trim slip dress: If wearing it alone could run someone's life, you're doing it right. Love the one from Cosabella. If you want to wear it out, try a vegan leather bralette, an opaque black brief, and lace or sheer black tights for a "naked" dress look or black pants/denim for a night-out look. Otherwise, save this one to feel sexy while relaxing at home or to wow a partner any night of the week. If you want some ultra-glamorous options, I suggest checking out Oséree but their items are $$$$ as a fair warning.
Satin/silk cami & shorts or pants set: For some equally comfortable and sexy loungewear or pajama options. I love styles with lace trim for that added feminine touch.

Girl Talk: Stop Comparing Yourself to Unrealistic Beauty Standards.
We just want all of our besties to see this video and take into account that 90% of the beauty standards and images you see that is pushed by the media isn’t real.
And this is with no shade: Jodie Joe, the face of fashion nova, has had surgery and it’s still photoshopped, altered and edited in realtime to make her look a certain way.
Stop comparing.
Stop consuming.
Stop trying to fit the mold when you were designed to break it.
Choose health and fitness over aesthetics. Prioritize your well-being, focusing on nourishing your body, staying active, and reprogram your mind to have a positive mindset.
Why?
Because true beauty radiates from within, and when you feel strong and healthy, it reflects in your confidence and energy.
Set realistic goals, celebrate your progress, and surround yourself with supportive communities that uplift and motivate you.
💌 A love letter to my BFS Ladies:
Here at BFS, while we adore sharing moodboards and celebrating outer beauty and fashion, we want to remind you that your journey in femininity and healed womanhood is about so much more. The true goal is healing, inner confidence and growth. Becoming the woman you aspire to be should transcend your outward appearance.
This journey is a mindset and a lifestyle that not only embodies the essence of a soft life but also breaks generational curses and defies stereotypes often placed upon Black women. It’s about nurturing yourself and starting a journey of self-discovery.
Your God-given superpower as a woman lies in this transformative work. Don’t just look the part—embrace the full, life-changing experience. Don’t cheat yourself from the profound growth and healing and real purpose that awaits you.
With love and inspiration,

It’s True.
That men and society have purposely oppressed women because they know how powerful we truly are. They know that God has equipped us with much more than they have. With the intelligence, innate intuition, spiritual knowledge, heightened consciousness & vibration, and so much more that women possess in excess… it is no wonder why we have been a large enough threat to be the main target of oppression…
And some have even justified their actions against women in the most unscrupulous ways (i.e. misinterpreting the Bible and scripture to falsely back their dispositions)…. if you actually read the Bible, for what it actually says about women… you will realize how even God thought us extremely precious beings. So much that He has said, “it is not good for a man to be alone” but NEVER said that it was not good for a woman to be alone. We were sent to earth for the very purpose that MEN CANNOT OPERATE, DO, BE, OR EXIST CORRECTLY WITHOUT US.
Especially the black or “colored” women (anyone with a large percentage of African blood or the “Eve” gene prominent in their lineage). We possess so much that others do not. It is the truth. And it is known. And it is the reason we are the most oppressed beings on earth far more so than our male counterparts. Whether people can see it or not.
The black woman is THE MOST oppressed, undervalued, unprotected, abused, neglected, disrespected, underpaid, exploited, shunned, devalued, defaced, abandoned, ignored, overlooked, discredited, disenfranchised, and belittled people on the entire face of the earth.
And it MUST stop. If the future we face will ever be bright.
When are they going to let us be who we are meant to be? When are they going to let us reveal the greatness inside ourselves?
The only women who aren’t GREAT are the ones who have been CONVINCED that they are not.
Don’t let it be you sis. Remember what you possess in abundance, the greatness to lead nations! And do not let these evils convince you of otherwise. It is literally EVIL, to try to convince someone that they are less than who they truly are. It’s called devaluation. The root word of devaluation is: devil….
Men have run the world forever… and look what they have done with it… don’t you all think it’s time for a change? Or do you wish to see it all go down in flames?
The more society oppresses women, the worse this earth will continue to become.
I want to leave you with this:
The video below is a video of the women of an Ashanti African tribe, I am descendent from these women. My father’s grandfather is 100% Ashanti African. They sing a song of a Ashanti female general and leader that led a rebellion against colonialism in modern day Ghana. Her name was Yaa Asantewa.
This is a video and an excerpt on her:

Does anyone else feel like the general attitude towards cross dressing is so misogynistic? Because to me it feels like women presenting masculinely are treated as if they're empowering themselves; some people are threatened by it and some are attracted to it. Whereas when a man presents femininely, he is almost always treated as if he's degrading himself for the benefit of others' sexual interests. Which falls right in line with how women have been treated for decades, doesn't it? If a woman wears makeup and gets dolled up, it's ALWAYS assumed that she's doing it for men, and no matter WHAT she does, she WILL be degraded for it. Whereas if a man puts on some ruddy cologne and slides into a clean suit, he is treated as the most powerful person in the room. Why is it that women are only seen as independent and powerful and dominant when they're imitating a traditional man? Why is it that men are seen as slutty, attention seeking and incompetent when imitating a traditional woman? Does anyone else see how absolutely fucked up that is?
I hate all of these useless words like "feminine" and masculine" that don't mean anything of substance. I want to live in a world where we shed adjectives that push people in gender-based boxes and we all embrace our most authentic selves; the way God created us to be.

How Sustainability is Shaping the Future of Fashion Design
The future of fashion design is undergoing a transformative shift, driven by an increased focus on sustainability. In a world where fast fashion dominates, sustainability in fashion design represents a move toward responsible, eco-conscious practices that prioritize the environment, social ethics, and long-term viability.
Introduction to Sustainability in Fashion Design
Overview of sustainability and its significance in today’s fashion industry.
The shift in consumer demand towards eco-friendly practices, especially in India.
Primary keyword: sustainability in fashion design.
Key Elements of Sustainable Fashion Design
Eco-friendly materials: Organic cotton, hemp, recycled fibers, and other natural materials are becoming more common. Designers are now exploring options that have minimal environmental impact, pushing for biodegradability and reducing the reliance on synthetic fibers like polyester.
Energy-efficient production: Brands are adopting low-energy, low-water consumption processes. Some also use renewable energy sources to power their production facilities.
Waste management: Concepts like zero-waste design and circular fashion are gaining momentum, where the aim is to reuse materials and reduce waste. Upcycling and repurposing old clothes or materials are essential in the sustainability conversation.
Ethical labor practices: Sustainable fashion design is not just about materials but also ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions for workers in the supply chain.
The Role of Female Networking Groups in Promoting Sustainability
Women-led initiatives and female networking groups like Women Inspiring Network are at the forefront of advocating for sustainable practices. These groups support eco-friendly startups and female entrepreneurs who aim to disrupt the fashion industry with green innovations.
Through knowledge sharing, mentorship, and networking, women are driving innovation in fashion while maintaining a focus on sustainability.
Consumer Awareness and Demand for Sustainable Fashion
Shifting consumer preferences toward ethically sourced, environmentally friendly clothing.
Data showing the growth in demand for sustainable fashion globally and within India. Consumers are now making informed choices based on the sustainability practices of brands.
Sustainable Fashion and the Importance of Mental Health
Fashion is known to be fast-paced and often stressful. The shift toward sustainability promotes a slower, more thoughtful approach that emphasizes quality over quantity.
Sustainable fashion brands are now advocating for work-life balance in their practices, focusing on mental health within the industry and reducing the intense pressure that fast fashion typically creates.
This connection between importance of mental health and sustainability fosters a healthier approach to fashion, for both designers and consumers.
Sustainability and Innovation in Fashion Design
How designers are integrating eco-conscious practices into their creations.
Notable brands and designers leading the way in sustainable fashion design in India, highlighting how technology, such as AI, is also aiding this movement.
Examples of slow fashion gaining popularity, showing that sustainable fashion can be both trendy and eco-friendly.
The Circular Economy in Fashion
Circular fashion: A concept where clothes are designed to last longer and be reused or recycled at the end of their lifecycle.
Brands are embracing the idea of take-back programs where consumers return used clothing, which is then repurposed into new designs.
This approach drastically reduces textile waste and emphasizes a "less is more" mentality that resonates with sustainability.
Impact of Sustainable Fashion on Global Trends
How sustainability in fashion design is setting trends that influence both high-end and mass-market brands.
Notable global movements and how Indian designers are catching up with international counterparts in sustainability efforts.

The quote above is what I have been saying forever to these men who have an issue with me being an outstanding leader of a woman… and it is refreshing to finally here it come from a man’s mouth.
It’s a lot of DUMMY men out here who truly think we should be following them as women when they are quite literally ignorant, lost, and mislead men... and they get mad at us and assassinate our womanhood the moment they realize we are MORE than them and we are more capable of leading ourselves and others in the proper directions exponentially more than they are. They are mad at us because we know better and are better than any and everything they are about & anything and everything they have to say or do. They are mad at us because they are less than the man they should be. They are mad at us, because even as women, we stand to be more equipped and capable than even them, as a man. You are not too strong woman, these men are too weak for you. These weak men are offended by you because EVERYTHING YOU ARE reminds them of what THEY ARE NOT… but yet are supposed to be as a man, but are not, because they are not proper or real men… and they seek to take their faults and insecurities out on you, and instead of admitting to themselves that they are shitty leaders, they accuse you of being too much of a leader for them to handle or like or want in a woman.
Something these weak men should know: We absolutely are submissive. We are just not submissive to anything DUMB WRONG OR WEIRD or whatever we know better than already. We submit to the men who are actually fit to lead women like us who already know how to lead ourselves properly and refuse to be led astray. If we know better than you we know better than you. If we are more equipped than you, we are more equipped! And we are not going to pretend like we are not just for your egos sake. Y’all mad at us because we are not about to submit to anything less than us or beneath us. And we do not follow behind any advice, statements, or commands that WE KNOW FAR BETTER THAN (and trust me we do know better than it and it’s confirmed that we do know better than it)…and we not about to pretend like we don’t just for your sake. We are not about to play dumb or follow blindly for anybody. Period.
Ladies, it’s time for us to realize that the only men that have issues with us are the ones who are BENEATH us. When you find a man who is ACTUALLY fit to lead you, he will have no issue with the incredibly strong leader you already are. In fact it will impress him and turn him on.
Hear this ladies, and say it with me: These weak men are the only ones who have an issue with you being strong. These dumb men are the only ones who have an issue with you being intelligent. These lost men are the only ones who have an issue with you having found yourself. These men who don’t know God properly are the only ones who have an issue with you knowing God and His words, more well and more accurately than they do. These men who are disconnected from God and can’t hear His voice are the only ones with an issue with what God has told YOU. These broke men are the only men who have an issue with you being rich. These talentless men are the only ones intimidated or jealous of your talent. These misled men are the only ones who have an issue with you being a proper leader. These loser men are the only ones with an issue with you being a winner. These men who ain’t going nowhere in life are the only ones who got an issue with where you are going in life. These unmanly men are the only ones that feel emasculated by you.
Continue to be a lioness Queen, soon your King will be in effect.
