How do I tell someone I love them?
A story for the ever lovely @trippygalaxy go check them out. Valentines Day special!
I had fun with this-
Warnings: Kissing, wholesome fluff!
。☆✼★━━━━━━━━━━━━★✼☆。
"You should buy her an animal." Twilight said, sitting with his legs open on the Cafe bar stool, his hat and accent telling everyone in the vicinity that he was clearly not from Hyrule city. "Ladies love a cute thing they can hold."
Sky frowned, looking at the hot chocolate in his hands, shaking his head. "No, Sun is more of a bird person. She owned a Remlit when we were 8, but it scared her. So she prefers birds." he said
Wild, who's long hair was in a loose ponytail, took a sip of his Caramel frappe, and hummed. Twilight turned to the man next to him, as did the others. "Well. . . I'd ask Mipha or Urbosa. . . but Mipha is in physical therapy for the next hour and a half and Urbosa is visiting family."
"I'd get her some nice, big roses." Hyrule said, smiling next to sky, his fluffy brown hair falling infront of his eyes a bit, still wearing his brown Jacket. "You know, the red ones at Magda's floral shop are great! I got some orange ones for Aurora myself!" Legend turned up his nose at the name, his beenie still covered in the outside snow as he sipped his mocha black coffee.
"Oh heck no. She is scary and those roses are too expensive, especially since Valentines Day is tomorrow."
Sky slammed his head on the counter, groaning. The boys looked concerned at him as he raised his head. "I should just ask Wars. . . he is good with women, right?"
"No." the others all said at the same time. Wind walked up to sky, holding a shoe box decorated as a pirate ship, school bag on his back. "I'd get her some cards and lollipops!" he said, shaking his box, and hearing candy rattle within. "Or some peeps!"
"Those are just cavity causers." Legend said, scowling. "And shouldn't you be in class?"
Wind frowned "Well, I was going to give you some candy, but never mind."
Hyrule brightened. "Ooh, may I?" Wind grinned maliciously and held out the box to Hyrule, who shot his hand in, and screamed as a rubber skulleta spider shot out. Wild and Legend laughed as Twilight sighed, shaking his head as Wind cackled. "Already, you scallywag." he said, standing up, "we've played hookie long enough, let's go." he said, and Wind let out a sound of complaint but followed Teilight out, both saying goodbye to the group.
"Maybe I should ask Four?" Wild said, taking Twilight's seat. Sky shook his head. "No, don't. I don't wanna bother him. He's out of town with his girlfriend."
Hyrule patted Sky's back as Legend stood. "Welp, I gotta head out before Ravio starts blowing my phone up." He said, and Hyrule and Wild waved goodbye as Sky looked defeated.
»»————- ★ ————-««
The grocery store was packed, and Sky was biting his lip, ears down as he looked around the candy isle, tapping his foot impatiently. He was frustrated, the others and been no help to him whatsoever.
He couldn't just by a rose for Sun, he'd have to by 10,000 and even then that wouldn't show her how beautiful she was to him. He couldn't just by candy, he would have to fly to the best chocolatiers in the world just to make her the best chocolates she'd like, but would that tell her how sweet she was to him? And he couldn't just get any card, he'd need to bring Leinardo de Vinci back to life to paint her a beautiful portrait! But would any of it be enough?
"You look troubled." A familiar, fatherly voice said and Sky jumped. He turned to see Time, a spirited man with the heart of a child. He was older than all of the guy's, and wad related to Twilight, yet they still didn't know his age.
"Time!" Sky said "I . . . it's nothing." he said, looking back at the shelved items, moving a back a bit as a teenage girl reached for a bag of candy, standing on her toes, apologizing to him as she did. Time smiled and grabbed the bag for her and handed it to the girl, who smiled and thanked him before rushing off.
"Rupee for your thoughts?" he asked with a kind smile. Sky huffed.
"Sun . . . I love her with my entire soul, I've known her since before we were born. How do I tell someone I love them?" he asked, looking back at Time. "I want to get her the best things, I want to show her how much I live her, but I don't know how. You're married to Malon, what should I do?"
Time hummed, thinking his words before speaking. "Well, what do you like about Sun and why?"
Sky smiled, that unmistakable love struck smile that made his ears perk back up. "Well. . . She has always put her all into everything. Back in school, when she sewed a sail cloth for the ceremony for the church's event back in high school. . . She's so kind to everyone she meets and never afraid to be social or put her foot down. . . she's got this flare to her that makes everyone take another look, and she always takes time to help those in need." He listed. Time smiled at this.
"What have you two done together?" He asked "What kind of events have you both attended. What are the most memorable moments with her that you remember?"
Sky thought about it, starting to play with his red earing. "Gee . . . Well, when we were 10, she held my hand in the ice cream parlor near our elementary school when Groose knocked my ice cream down and shared hers. And then we got lost in a haunted maze during Halloween in freshman year and we fell into a bush together." he started, his smile growing brighter and face became more red. "I remember confessing to her in the city park under that one tree that was said to once bear the fruit that cured all diseases. And our first date was to the zoo. We got lost in the reptile exhibit trying to find where all the butterflies were."
Time patted Sky's back, pulling him out of a trance. "Use those as inspiration." he said. "Let them fuel your fire. It doesn't have to be a fancy gift, whatever you do for Sun should be meaningful. It should remind her of why you two love one another."
Sky gasped and started to bounce. "I've got it! Time thank you so much but I've got a date to plan!" he said, rushing off as Time watched him run off, sprinting down an isle as Malon appeared, looking confused. "What's going on? Dear?"
"Oh-" Time said, looking lovingly at his wife. "It's nothing, darling."

"Still no text?" Flora asked Sun, frowning. The girls had decide to have a sleepover, just to relax and spend time together. Sun sadly nodded, looking at her phone on Dusk's back with her cheek in her hand. Aurora gave a kind smile.
"I'm sure he's just sleeping in, you know he doesn't wake up no matter what." Lullaby nodded. Sun sighed again, clearly upset.
"It's Valentines day!" Sun said "I expected at least a 'good morning, happy Valentines day!' you know?!", her long golden hair in a braid nearly walking Flora in the face.
Dusk entered, a smile on her face. The girls turned. "I found something on my door step. It's for you, Sun."
In a second, Sun was rushing to the front door of Dusk's apartment, the girls following behind excited as they went to the front door. Sun opened it and on the door step was a letter and a small bundle of daffodils. Fable and Dot giggled and squealed seeing the flowers, Sun looking a bit confused but smiled seeing her name in Sky's familiar shaky cursive on the letter.
"oooh!" Dot squealed, bouncing up and down as Sun closed the door. "What's it say?! What's it say!?"
Sun smiled and quickly opened it. She started to read aloud, holding the daffodils in her hand. "Dear Sun, I have known you since before we were born, and even when we were playing other for the first time, I knew that you and I would never be apart. This is to our first time together." Sun pulled off a photo, and smiled. "This is the first photo our mothers took of us together." Su. said, eyes filled with familiarity ad she showed the girls. they all fawned at the cuteness.
"Daffodils mean birth and new beginnings." Flora said, gently examining the Daffodils.
"There's another thing." Sun said "Go to Piper's ice cream parlor. Order the first ice cream we had together at 11 o'clock."
"It's a scavenger hunt!" Fable exclaimed. "He set up a scavenger hunt!"
In what felt like seconds, the girls were dressed and rushed out to catch the metro, all rushing and giggling in excitement. On the metro, Fable got a text and she gushed about how Legend wanted to talk to her, and she left after a few stops to meet him.
On the way to the ice cream parlor, Lullaby also got a text, and she gave a knowing smile to Dusk. "Oh, Malon wants help to make a pie for Time, and wants Dusk and I to help. We have to go."
"Strange." Flora said, Watching to two scurry away, giggling.
»»————- ★ ————-««
"Could I get one scoop of chocolate and a scoop of vanilla?" Sun asked Piper, who looked so happy to see Sun. "With some extra sprinkles?"
"Comeing right up!" Piper said, and she went to make her the ice cream. Sun stood there, rocking back and forth on her heels. Dot, Flora, Aurora, and Artemis (Who had bumped into them (randomly)) stood behind her as Piper handed Sun a bowl of chocolate and vanilla ice cream with wrinkles, a note, and a yellow rose.
Sun took them and rushed to a table, past a small group with books and some with glassed and one wearing a blue scarf and to a small table to sit, the girls following them. Flora took the rose as Sun opened the letter. "A yellow rose is symbolic for friendship." she said instinctively, and proceeded to get shaken by an Excited Aurora.
"Dear Sun, Remember when I lost my treat, ans you shared yours. I think that is when I realized how sweet you were, and I wanted that sweetness forever. Your kindness knows no bounds. At 12 o'clock, Go to the maze that hosts those awesome Halloween events and look for the scarecrow with a bucket hat."
"We gotta go!" Aurora said, Dot having gone missing, grabbing Sun and Flora and rushing out.
»»————- ★ ————-««
One by one, they collected more notes and flowers, Sun reminded of the best moments with her and Sky, even if the girls were suddenly dissapearing. Soon, now in the park as the sun was setting, she was alone, holding daffodils, yellow roses, pink carnations, daisies, larkspur, marigolds and chrysanthemums. Her feet aches, and she was hoping this wasn't just some wild goose chase when she saw him.
Sky stood under the tree of life, dressed in some nice clothes, in front of a picnic with lit candles and nice food. Sky's face lit up as she rushed to him and hugged him tight. "You know, I nearly had to fight a penguin for one of these." she said, and Sky smiled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "Sorry about that." he said, taking her hands and helping her sit down. "But did you have fun?" He asked
Sun nodded, abd placed her flowers next to her. "Oh, but I had to do the last bit of it alone. All the girls ran out, and I haven't a clue why!"
Sky's ears dropped a bit, "Oh? Strange." he said, before he helped her fill her plate.
It was wonderful, both talking about their day and Sun just gushing over everything Sky had done for her before he cleared his throat, turning a heavy shade of red. "Um ... we've known one another since. .. . well since birth. And I'm. . . just so greatful that through everything we've stuck together. I don't have a memory without you in it." he said, helping Sun stand up. "And. . . I want you to be with me forever. I want to look back in the future and see you and I together in white."
Sun's eyes widened, and she gasped realizing where this was going. "Link-"
Sky got down on one knee. "Zelda, I wnat to grow old with you. I want to start a family with you, I want to be by your side as you make all your dreams become a reality. Zelda. . ." He pulled out a box as Sun shook. Opening it, a ring stood in a slot. "Will you marry me?"
Sun burst into tears and Sky began to panic "Oh goddess! I'm sorry, are you okay?! Did you not want-"
Sun kissed Sky and he became tomato red ad he kissed back. Sun pulled away, smiling through tears. "Yes! As many times as I have to say it, Yes!"
Sky's eyes filled with tears as he shakily put the ring on her finger and kissed her again. The sounds of confetti cannons going off and cheers erupted from around them as the chain and girls celebrated, the sound of Hyrule yelling in joy and Dot and Aurora crying was heard, Wind loligaging with Tetra, and other sounds of excitement were heard.
When Sun and Sky pulled away, the boys patted Sky's back, cheering for him. The girls swarmed Sun, all going on about wedding plans and such, the excitement so contagious that if anyone else had gone by, they been smiling too.
Sky looked at Sun, and both knew that this would be the best memory and Valentines day gift they'd ever received. . .

I read poems
They make me think of everyone
I have ever known
I talk to my friends
And yearn for an eternity with them
I dream of soft mornings
With those I call family
Eating breakfast at a too small table
Our shoulders bump
Laughter fills the air
Silverware clinks
It'll feel like an eternity
At that small table
I am loved
They are loved
But the time will pass
I wish I could spend forever at that table
In a world
A future that has yet to come
In my current day
I think of my friends
Of sitting at that small table with them
They are so loved
But the future is a secret
And perhaps the secret it holds
Is them never being at that small table
Where I am also loved

Regulus writing James love letters, only signing them with a star at the end, because he doesn’t know how to properly express his emotions and is terrified of rejection from the embodiment of the sun.
James trying to figure out who wrote the letters and slowly becoming friends with regulus, and overtime hoping he’s the one sending the notes.
Regulus slipping up and accidentally quoting himself, making James realize his wish came true.

One of my favorite parts about the writing of Howl's Moving Castle is how easy it is to write off all the things from our world at first as him just being a weird wizard™ (also thanks to bestie @jutenium for spotting this I wouldn't put it like that without you!!/pos). Sure, Sophie uses weird descriptions, but readers have every reason to believe them because of the way Howl is presented as a character. When Sophie says he wrote with a quill that doesn't need an ink, you wouldn't think it was actually a ballpoint pen, you would think Howl had just enchanted his quill so that it wouldn't need ink! When she adds that she can't make out a single word, you think he has matchingly terrible handwriting, but in fact Sophie has simply never seen a pen writing. When she sees the mysterious labels on his books, you think he's keeping a lot of obscure magical literature, but it's really just an encyclopedia and a guide like "Top 10 Rugby Tips." When Sophie notices the bottles in Howl's bathtub, you think they're some kind of magical jars where he keeps girl's hearts, but I'm almost certain that they're just 'Dove' and 'Head and Shoulders' that he's enhanced with his spells and put silly labels on. When you read Calicifer singing a song in a language Sophie doesn't understand, you think it's some kind of ancient cipher or code, but it's actually just a rugby song in Welsh that Howl sings when he's drunk. And finally, when you see the terrifying black door, which is completely shrouded in darkness, you imagine a passage to an eerie, mythical place, similar to what Miyazaki showed us - but it's just fucking Wales.

I hate that headcanon that says Peter betrayed them all, James and Lily died, Harry became an orphan, Sirius went to prison for 12 years for a crime he didn't commit, and Remus spent more than a decade alone. Lmao, like, who thought that was a good idea?

“train” - Jegulus microfic - @into-the-jeggyverse - 336 words
James has his arms around Regulus’ waist and he’s slowly kissing his cheeks, his forehead, his lips, his nose.
“James.”
“Yes, love?”
More kisses.
“James.” Regulus says with a small laugh.
“Mmm hmm?” James doesn’t stop his kisses.
“James, I have to go, or the train will leave without me.” Regulus says, but makes no attempt to pull away.
“Good.”
“James.”
“Don’t go. I’m going to miss you too much.” James pouts.
“You want me to skip my last year because you’re going to miss me too much?” Regulus asks.
“Yes. I’m glad we’re finally on the same page.” James goes back to his kisses.
“James.” Regulus says one last time. James sighs and stops his kissing but doesn’t let go of Regulus’ waist. “We’re going to write all the time. I’m going to see you in Hogsmeade in two months. You’re going to come to all my matches–”
“I know. But it’s not the same.” James says in a sincere tone as he tucks a curl behind Regulus’ ear.
“I know. But it’s not going to be the same for me either. Without you there. In that big castle. So cold and drafty, and no one to keep me warm.” Regulus smirks.
“What are you doing to me?” James groans and drops his forehead on Regulus’ and Regulus chuckles.
“It’s not that long and it’s going to fly by.” Regulus tells him.
“Okay.” James says softly and loosens his grip. “I love you.” James leans down and kisses Regulus.
“I love you, too.” Regulus whispers.
Regulus turns and walks towards the train but just before he steps on, he turns and runs back to James, practically jumping into his arms. He wraps his arms around James’ neck and pulls him in for a more passionate kiss.
“And I’m going to miss you so much.” Regulus says against his lips, and he can feel James smiling.
“I’m going to miss you, too.” James tells him and kisses him one more time. “Now, go or the train will leave without you.”

imagine jegulus where James so desperately trying to put them in those painfully obvious "get together" scenarios but fails every bloody time
[in a motel]
James: so there's only one room available so we'll have to share... I sure hope it has two separate beds *crossing fingers*
Regulus: *opening the door* oh yeah, it does, don't you worry 😌
James: 🥲
[in a car]
James: a six-hour trip and just the two of us... I sure hope we don't bond over the long conversation that is ahead of us...
James: Right Reggie?
James: Reggie?
James: *looks at the passenger seat and sees Regulus sleeping with headphones in his ears*
James: 🥲
[in a club]
James: *hires a guy who is going to start aggressively hitting on Regulus so that he can swoop in like a knight on a white horse and save him from trouble*
James: *watches as Regulus flirts back and leaves with a guy hired by James (he probably shouldn't hire Barty for that)*
James: 🥲
[in a small space they "accidentally" locked themselves in]
James: Blimey... it could be hours before someone finds us here...
Regulus: Just a moment... aaaand I managed to unlock the door 🤓
James: Of course you did... 🥲

It's good and cool to give your characters a single simple, straightforward, non-urgent, super-achievable goal that shouldn't really cost anything or hurt anyone, make that the driving factor for most of their decisions, and then have the Plot do everything in its power to stop them.

Thinking about Gale's spellbook.
Not the old one, the one he carried when he was Gale, the Wizard of Waterdeep - a gorgeous, leather-and-silver bound thing that bulged with a lifetime's worth of accumulated knowledge. There were spells in there penned over wine and cheese with Elminster; in a flow state that bordered on the spiritual after a night with Mystra, remembering her instruction, the feel of her soul against his. That spellbook was the testament to his success, the proof that he had excelled beyond the excellent -
And then Mystra cut him off from the Weave, and it all become meaningless.
His own runes, rendered incomprehensible; beautiful spell-glyphs that turned from condensed power and knowledge to worthless pieces of art. He has to start anew, from the ground up - reforging his connection to the Weave without Mystra's guidance (without her, without), relearning schoolboy spells. Humiliatingly easy magic, the kind he used to do like it was breathing, except this time he has to study and work and try and try, Tara urging him on with firm but gentle words.
He learns different spells, now. Mage Armour, Shield, Magic Missile. Not the kind of spells that he'll ever need on a day-to-day basis; spells that'll keep him alive long enough when he makes an exodus to the depths of the Underdark, or the centre of some desert wastes, and goes supernova.
The new spellbook is a plainer thing, small enough to fit in a robe pocket (because extradimensional storage spaces are no longer things he can make with a thought). And then he's snatched by a Nautiloid, and... honestly, he'd swear that the spine just wants to hold onto blood-spatters, no matter how many times he cleans them out. The pages get spotted from all the times he's had to flick them open in driving rain; the corners get creased from being shoved in and out of his robes.
And absolutely nothing can protect it from the unstoppable force of his friends.
Karlach nearly sends the whole thing up in flames one night by gesticulating a bit too wildly. Wyll laughs too hard one night and sprays wine all over Gale's new notes on Abjuration. Scratch picks up the entire thing and runs off with it when Gale's back is foolishly turned, and it's only a stern talking-to from Halsin that saves the whole thing from becoming a chew toy.
Smiley cat faces, doodled on the pages in Yenna's untidy hand. A helpful comment from Karlach on the Fireball page: 'AKA FUCK YEAH LET'S GO!!!!' A few lines of Wyll's perfect handwriting, a memento from a long discussion about how infernal energies could enhance fire magic; a few observations from Shadowheart on warding enchantments. Some terse comments on psionic magic from Lae'zel that Gale finds himself weaving into his Shields, and they do seem to hold up a little better now. (Other hands on his spellbook! Touching the pages he carries close to his heart! The man he was would never have believed it.)
He thinks of them all, as he writes new spells. Counterspell, because nothing will touch them. Spells that will carry his people from danger and shield them from harm. He watches Astarion pace before the fire one night and inscribes Sunbeam with a cold smile of promise to Cazador; he glowers at Mizora over the edge of the pages as he ponders what spells would be best suited to killing a devil.
A wizard's spellbook, Elminster told him once, is a reflection of their soul. Gale of Waterdeep's spellbook was a marvel; perfect and polished and resplendant. Untouched by any hands but his own.
Gale Dekarios's spellbook is battered and beloved, covered on every page with the fingerprints of his friends.

pairings: poly!marauders x reader (852 words)
warnings: should be none, just a little stress cry/ burnout
a/n: Do I like this? I have no idea. The boys help to comfort you on a late night that has you stressed.
Reaching out to his left, James expects to find your warmth. Instead all he feels are empty sheets. The fuzziness of sleep threatens to pull him back down, but your absence keeps him up.
He pads through your small apartment doing his best not to wake your boyfriends still sleeping behind him. The small spike of panic he felt at not finding you eases as he finally does.
You've got your back to him, typing away at your computer at the kitchen table.
"And I'm the one not allowed to have coffee after six," he says softly once he's closer. You hardly glance at him, still typing. "Love," he says, a hand gently coming to cover yours. "Do you know how late it is?"
Your heart melts as you finally look at him. He's rubbing sleep from his eyes, knocking his glasses off kilter. He looks warm and soft around the edges. It's enticing but your work's not going to do itself. "I'll come to bed in just a minute, Jamie. I should really finish this."
He points at the time on your computer, 3:48 blares at you and you realize how much your eyes sting from staring at the screen. "Come on," he says, his grip now a soft tug at your wrist.
"Just let me finish this paragraph." You're trying to bargain, having the feeling you'll probably lose.
"It can wait, love." He's looking at you with soft eyes and you can feel the warmth radiating off of him. You hear shuffling behind you. Now you're really in for it.
Remus comes into view, his oversized shirt- probably one of James’- askew on his shoulders, followed by a scowling Sirius. “How dare you make us go on a man-hunt at three in the morning.” Sirius crosses his arms trying to look angry, but he still comes up to rest his chin on your shoulder. His nose tickles your cheek, “Let’s go to bed my love.”
Remus walks further into the kitchen of your tiny apartment. You remember the day you moved in, you ate ramen over a cardboard box as a kitchen table. Now as he stands across the table from you Remus reaches over to slowly close your laptop.
You stop him halfway, and he gives you a knowing look. “I’m really not tired, honestly I won't be able to sleep until I finish this,” you say quickly returning to typing.
Remus sighs, looking to James for help, but it’s Sirius who comes to his aid. “Well then I guess we’re all staying up,” Sirius says, his chin digging into your shoulder and sleep muddling his words, “but when I wake up with dark circles that’s on you.”
“No go to bed, I won’t be long.” You try to focus on your work, but Sirius worms his arms under yours, wrapping around you. “Siri, please.” Your head is starting to hurt from forcing your eyes to stay open, and the warmth coming off of him only makes the fight harder.
“What are you doing, Remus?” you ask, hearing the kitchen cabinets open and close.
“I’m making hot chocolate.” He grabs your favorite mug from the cabinet followed by three more.
“You don’t have to do that Rem.” Your eyes are still stinging.
“I already opened the packet.” He says it with a finality that tells you, you’ve hardly any choice in the matter.
“I’ll get the marshmallows,” James adds, sounding far too excited for this time of night.
Before you can stop it your eyes fill with tears, blurring your computer screen. You hide your face in your hands. “Are you okay, love?” Sirius asks, suddenly sounding much more awake. You can’t stop it as much as you want to, your tears flow leaving your boyfriends flustering to help you.
“Dove.” Remus kneels beside you. “Let’s take a break, yeah? It can wait until tomorrow.”
You hear the soft click of your computer shutting as you nod. James holds your hand across the table. “You’re all too nice to me,” you say, it comes out half laugh half sob.
“All that work is scrambling your brain,” Sirius says, squeezing your shoulders.
You let Remus pull you to the couch where he brushes stray tears from your cheeks. You melt into his side. He plants soft kisses into your hair.
James and Sirius come with cups of hot chocolate almost overflowing with marshmallows. The cups are soon abandoned as the rich chocolate threatens to drag you all to sleep right on the spot.
When you eventually make it to bed through fits of yawns and tired shuffling, you realize you’re finally exactly where you want to be. Sirius falls asleep practically on top of James.
Remus pulls the blanket to your chin. “Too nice,” he laughs quietly to himself. You swat at his arm. As you fall asleep, he listens to the rise and fall of your breath. You deserve all the niceness of the world, and he would make hot chocolate in the middle of every night if it meant you felt even a bit of it.

I look at men and grit my teeth and clench my fists as I think of kissing them
I get mad at how I wish I could be everything bodily of a man except
What actually makes a man a man
Simply identifying as one
Because I am not a man but I have always dreamt of a body I do not have pressed against another's that is what I am not
To love men in a inherently queer way
Not as another man
But something else, something that isn't
Yet to carry the body of what is assigned one
So I look at men fists clenched and yearning

roommate!james potter who doesn’t really get why you don’t understand that he like likes you (me trying to understand characters & theirnpersonalities better) “Perv,” you giggle, shoving the comforter into James’s face. You shimmied on a shirt at least a size too big for you and pulled a pair of James’s Calvin Klein boxers over your black underwear.
“Nothing I haven’t seen the night before,” James muses, wrapping his arms around you as you tried your best to walk forward. “Dunno why you don’t walk around shirtless like me when it’s summer. You got great boobs and you’re actually physically hurting me but keeping them away.” During his rant, James’s hands had snuck up your shirt and groped your tits, fiddling with your nipple with his thumb.
“Because it’s weird! I’ts not like I’m your girlfriend or anything. We’re just roommates,” you shrugged, reaching up to grab Nutella from a cabinet, giving James the opportunity to run his hands down your hips.
“Really?”
You sighed. “Yes James. We’ve literally talked about this and how- how many pieces of toast do you want?-“ you asked mid-sentence.
“Two, lovie,” James answered, resting his chin on your head, watching your blurry movements without his glasses.
“Anyway, James you actually have to like like girls instead of wanted to have sex with them all the time to have a girlfriend,” you continued.
“I like like you. Thought you knew,” James replied, large hands going back up your shirt to rest on your boobs.
“Whatever, Jamie. Lets eat breakfast before you get all- all Jamie-like,” you said, bustling sround the small kitchen with the man curled into you like a parasite.
“Okay, lovie.”

I can’t stop thinking about the discussion James and Regulus must have had when Harry was sorted into Gryffindor. James would smirk at Regulus for a looooong time.
But oh how sweet Regulus comeback was when Harry was chosen as seeker for the quidditch team.

“candle” - Jegulus microfic - @into-the-jeggyverse - 338 words

Regulus just got home and he walks through the living room to the kitchen looking for James.
“James?” He calls when he doesn’t find him.
“Out back.” James answers.
Regulus walks out the back door and his breath hitches and his eyes fill with tears when he sees James standing on their patio with his hands behind his back. He’s wearing a full suit and tie, there are twinkle light hanging above him and he’s surrounded by candles.
“James?” Regulus whispers, he doesn’t trust his voice to speak any louder.
“Hi, love.” James smiles. Regulus slowly walks over to him and he feels a tear roll down his cheek. James brings one hand out from behind his back to cup Regulus’ cheek and brush the tear away with his thumb. “No tears.” He says softly.
“Can’t help it.” Regulus’ voice cracks. He’s overwhelmed with emotions and he can’t help it when words start tumbling from his lips. “Because you… and you look… and the lights… and all the candles…”
“One candle for every year I’ve loved you.” James smiles and Regulus quickly scans the candles surrounding James.
“We’ve only been together 3 years. There are 7 candles?”
“Regulus, I have loved you since the day I met you. And if you’ll let me, I’ll love you every day for the rest of our lives and then some.” Regulus lets out a sob as James drops to one knee and brings his other hand out from behind his back holding a small box. James opens the box to reveal a silver ring, and Regulus drops to his knees along with James.
“Yes.” He says and leans in to kiss James.
“Regulus…” James pulls back slightly with the biggest grin.
“Yes!” Regulus wraps his arms around James’ neck bringing him back for another kiss.
“Reg… I had a whole speech written.” James says, chuckling against Regulus’ lips.
“Read it to me later. Yes!” Regulus says again and James takes his hand and slides the ring on his finger and pulls him in for more kisses.
