Now on the surface yeah two people who've practically already been in a relationship have a fight resulting in them going their separate ways when one decides to tell the other they wanna be official due to severe miscommunication

But that's where the similarities stop

And don't get me wrong I love blitzø and stolas just it's not even the same ballpark

Crowley and Aziraphale are two beings that have known one another since before the dawn of time the have shielded one another from the first rains and the first meteor showers with their own wings. Neither fitting into the molds they were supposed to and spending thousands of years carving out a precious peaceful fragile existence for themselves together on earth. They are an angel and a demon who have made themselves equals when everything in their society tells them otherwise they lie to protect the other and they meet inconspicuously not for their own safety but for that of the other for should their respective sides find out the possibility of a fate worse than death is astronomical. They stopped the damn apocalypse because they wanted to continue living together undisturbed. They swapped bodies so that they were the ones feared in the face of death. So they could be left alone for a short while. They spend over 6000 years carefully crafting a language of silence that it is only when words are used that the can no longer understand. The spent so long looking between the lines that when there's nothing there they don't know how to look at what's right on the page anymore. It is only Crowley gives up and starts speaking their language of unsaid words saying "no Nightingales" instead of "so this is it then?" That Aziraphale finally understands but it's to late what's done is done and Aziraphale is nothing if not a stubborn basterd. So he leaves alone after begging for Crowley to come with him and not hearing Crowley's pleas for him to stay and neither is happy about it they both are ready to break completely.

The stoliz breakup is 2 demons of different classes getting into a fight because the noble decided that after 2 season maybe pinning after the guy who literally can't run his small business without you and what you give him is very illegal but he doesn't give a fuck as long as he can do his job isn't the most ethical idea so he instead decides to gift the lower class demon a legal way to carry out business in hopes of fixing the power imbalance so the other demon no longer needs him then gets upset when his chronically stupid 'needs a neon sign to understand jackshit' partner who can't take squat seriously because then it's to real doesn't understand his love confession right away and takes it unseriously. Stolas takes it as an immediate rejection because he loves blitzø but doesn't know the first thing about him past bedroom preferences and the same goes for Blitzø himself. They don't know how to communicate because they've never needed to understand what the other was saying their relationship was purely transactional previously and blitzø has spent the entire show believing he is just another imp providing stolas with a service in exchange of something like the rest of stolas's staff that he's confused when stolas reveals that's not the case. And stolas for his part is extremely sensitive to rejection given literally every aspect of his life and currently his only Frame of reference for romance is his abusive ex-wife and romance novels of course when blitzø didn't immediately reciprocate his sentiments he took it as rejection. He shuts down and attempts to remove himself aggravating blitzø because this is something entirely different from what he expected and the fucker who sprung this on him didn't even give him a second to think as his entire understanding of their relationship is being rewritten.

While both victims of severe miscommunication

Crowley and Aziraphale get mistaken for an old married couple so often that they no longer correct people while stolas and blitzø are seen as Stolas being in a phase

I was thinking about an aroace Sonic who says things that can be taken as wildly flirty/romantic but he just means them genuinely. “You have beautiful eyes, I keep getting distracted while looking at them,” not cause he’s interested romantically in them but because eyes can be really cool and pretty man I dunno what to tell you he likes looking at cool things and he thinks his friends are neat. “You’re the most beautiful person here,” because he really thinks that, he loves his friends

2. Sonic randomly dropping heartfelt genuine comments on his friends out of the blue completely blindsiding them and then moves on like nothing happened while they’re left going ?????? Bonus points if he does something immensely stupid or jerkish just before or immediately afterwards and they can’t tell if he was serious or not with the compliment (yes he was)

3. Sonic usually being so allergic to truly vulnerable moments that when he expresses something heartfelt randomly Tails thinks he’s been stabbed or something and does not believe him when he reassures him that he’s fine he’s fine he’s not dying yeesh

The Justice League fought hard against the anti ecto acts but unfortunately it wasn’t enough and the laws were passed anyways but not before a clause was added to them that states the JL had the right to pull a ghost out of a facility of they had potential to work for them. When they see the potential hero Phantom is caught by the GIW they of course do their best to acquire him. Unfortunately the government sees Phantom as JL property now instead of his own person. Phantom seemed content being trapped on the watchtower and explained it was better than whatever the GIW was planning. Superman thinks something weird is going on with the ghost as when he supposedly went to bed in the room he was assigned he’d temporarily gain a heartbeat again. Constantine is just glad the young prince hasn’t decided to kill anyone in the US congress yet for passing such a ridiculous law. Batman’s adoption senses are tickling.

i legitimately think the only scenario i would write for an omegaverse au is one where your childhood friend becomes an alpha and expects you to — naturally — become his omega (he’s loved you forever. taking care of you is as natural as breathing.) but you end up as a beta instead and he just has to deal with that

One of the weirder parts of being formally tested for autism as an adult—apart from the hellscape of hours of math hell—was that they kept asking me for my conclusions or opinions about things I had very little knowledge of. These weren't basic facts you'd expect someone to pick up in the course of a standard US education, and I kept repeating that I would have to do actual research to form opinions on subjects I had no significant information about.

Obviously, "not opinionated" isn't a major problem for me when I do have a reasonable amount of information, but my eventual diagnosis specifically mentioned that I kept repeating that I would have to do more research to acquire the necessary baseline of data for forming opinions on [whatever], and that the phrasing of my various refusals tended to be identical or very similar (I didn't see any need to alter my wording when I was simply repeating the same position over and over).

Anyway this is also about Star Trek. (Surprise.) I knew Spock would be relatable before we started the grand TOS watch, but did not expect him to be the most relatable character on television ever, and his continual refusals to deliver opinions without enough data for informed theories was actually a big part of this.

Thinking about Darrel watching Ponyboy pull away and watching him go quiet after everything that happens. Maybe go quiet isn’t right, Pony has always been quiet, now he was silent. And Darrel wishes he could snap his fingers and his brother would talk to him or talk to anyone about what’s going on in his head because Darrel can’t read his mind, no matter how badly he wishes he could.

I think there was one point where Darrel was watching his brother basically disassociate right in front of him and he wishes he could turn back time, even for a moment. He wishes he could go back to a time when large movements didn’t make his baby brother flinch back. A time when he was still starry eyed and completely hopeful.

He wants to go back and he wants to smack teenage Darrel over the head and tell him to start appreciating what he has. He wants to tell past him to stop skipping out on family dinners and stop complaining about taking his brothers to the drive in. He wants to shake his teenage self and tell him that he doesn’t know how good he has it. His parents make dinner. His dad watches football with him on Sundays. His mama makes the most perfect chocolate cake. His younger brother wears a real smile and laughs genuinely. His baby brother still follows him around and looks at him like he hung the stars in the sky. And he took it for granted.

Darrel’s chest aches when he remembers a time when he was still a kid and he had dreams of getting out. But it aches even more when he remembers a time when his brothers could still look at the world with hope instead of the fear and pain that fills their eyes now.

Maybe some part of Darrel knows that he isn’t the best person for his brothers. He knows they deserve more financial stability and a more present adult than he can ever give them. But the bigger and more selfish part of him refuses to give them up. Maybe Pony doesn’t follow him around anymore, maybe Soda’s smiles aren’t completely real anymore. Maybe they deserve more than he’ll ever be. But they’re the only family he has and he cannot lose them too.

Seeing a lot of people call PV weak for depending on Lily...guys no you don't yet it. This man is made up of 90% love. Yes he is strong and can be a badass when he needs to be and has dabbled in dark arts, but his perception of self is so ingrained in keeping others happy and others being happy around him....he loves Lily more than he loves himself guys

He has been through so goddamn much, and she is one of his best friends, even without shipping context, he has rewired himself to feel comfortable around her voice and her scent and he depends on her, not because he's 'head over heels' but because she is his anchor.

This man thrives off love (platonic and familial) and he loves and puts so much of his trust into Lily that she can snap him out of his most all-encompassing thoughts. Until he can learn to be truthful with others, this will stay fact, but it doesn't mean he's weak for it.

PV for the past year (our time) has been going through some very traumatic stuff, I think he deserves the leeway of leaning on his best friend for comfort when his entire world is being broken around him
