Magnolia "Maggie" Bucchi — aka Daisy & Ruggie's fankid *⁠.⁠✧

General information:

Name meaning: Magnolia is a type of flower that symbolizes determination, dignity, purity etc.

Inspired from: Shenzi from The Lion King, as well as the mice from Cinderella.

Age: 16 years old.

Height: 170cm.

Dorm: Pomefiore, NRC.

Hobbies: sewing, pranking others.

Favorite food: her mom's pumpkin jam.

Family: Daisy Bucchi (mother), Ruggie Bucchi (father), great-granny Bucchi.

Personality:

Maggie was born in a loving family who always taught her the importance of hard work and protecting the ones they love, and because of that Maggie grew up to be someone who never backs drown from a challenge and who cares and looks after most people around her.

Although she's not as gentle or kind as her mom, Maggie is a caring soul who doesn't stand for injustice, wanting to help those in need, specially people with a worse living situations than her because of her father's tough life growing up. Still, her dad taught her to always have her eyes open, making her observant and able to detect easily when someone's trying to take advantage of her or not.

Maggie can often be sarcastic and sometimes even mean and blunt, but she means no harm by it, it's just her sense of humor. She had a habit of stealing from others after seeing her dad doing it once, but she stopped once her mother scolded her (and her dad) about it... Well, mostly. She still steals from people, but for pranks, as she always returns the objects later.

She's naturally stronger than most women, although weaker and shorter than male hyenas given her human genes. She was a tad bit chubby as a kid since Ruggie often spoiled her with food, (still kinda does, but to a lesser extent especially because now she's living in NRC) not wanting her to go a day without eating 3 full and big meals.

She's a daddy's girl all the way, and Ruggie often dotes on her; Daisy is just as loving, although a bit more firm when it comes to certain situations, still, Daisy loves her daughter to bits and would give her life for her.

Fun facts: Maggie's favorite color is green; she makes clothes with random pieces of fabric she finds for fun.

haul from the sheep & wool festival. the green and purple skeins are enormous and I am v excited about them.

also the multicoloured skeins are a lovely linen and I want to weave something with them so I am finally starting the process of dressing the floor loom.

we aren't talking enough about the wordplay in fortnight. she immediately tells us this story will be confusing and multifaceted and intertwined with reality and delusion. the lyric reads "cause for a fortnight there, we were forever. run into you sometimes, ask about the weather." but she doesn't sing it the way you would read it. she sings it so that it could mean multiple things at once.

i originally thought it said "cause for a fortnight there we were, forever running to you sometimes" which is such a different meaning. as is if you isolate it to be just "cause for a fortnight there we were forever running" or "cause for a fortnight there we were" and all of this is not just oh i heard the lyric incorrectly, its purposefully confusing, i think. i don't know i just know i am absolutely obsessed with the wordplay.

Tokucember Day 19: Anniversary

I didn't really know how to interpret this one but uh Kuuga turns 25 next month sooooo old goichi for you today. Ichijo would be turning 51 this year, cute right? In 2025 godai has a smartphone but hasn't quite mastered selfie taking :)

Cardigan S (Pattern | Yarn | Thread)

I have officially cast on for this cardigan! Sleeve #1 (aka Swatch #3). The OG swatch I used size US 8 needles for both the pattern and the ribbing which is exactly what the pattern states but honestly I think my ribbing looks like dogwater. For Sleeve #1 I swapped to a US 6 for the ribbing and then on the increase row swapped back to US 8. The pattern also has you go directly from ribbing into pattern rows but I'm inserting a wrong side stockinette row for that increase/needle size up and we'll see how it looks.

My pocket swatch/Swatch #2/the one mostly covered up by my hand gave both good and bad news. In good news, 26 stitches is wide enough both for my hand and more importantly my cellphone. In bad news, it wants the pockets to only be five inches tall, and that is NOT enough for either my hand or my cellphone. Easy fix esp considering I plan on completely ignoring every single direction on how to make the pockets Except for the actual stitch count. More on that once I get the Second (and hopefully last) yarn I ordered for pockets.

I didn't realize but because of this shiny thread I'm going to have to knit both sleeves and the two front pieces one at a time.... Taking lots of notes for how many rows I do things in to hopefully match them well enough.

Made some edits of this panel from the volume 25 omake by itself, because it's so precious that my heart needed it on its own and to forget about everything else. Couldn't decide on what color to make it so I just did multiple :') Use them as lockscreens or whatever if you wish~ 💖

Maybe I did this to myself but it does irk me when people see me knitting and they ask who it’s for and I say it’s for me and the immediate reaction is “you should sell it” yeah… let me spend at least a week’s worth of my free time making an item I like, want, and would wear just to sell it on etsy, making at most a £2 profit on materials and not being compensated for my time whatsoever 👍🏻
