as someone who has unknowingly been in a "mentally unstable femme/do anything for you butch" [i was the do anything for you butch] dynamic i have to say it did severe damage to me and my idea of self worth. i was walked on in horrendous ways. i was not treated like a human or a person with feelings. i was manipulated. i was sexually coerced to do things that no one should ask someone else to do. it has taken me the better part of a decade to recognize the damage this did to me, and it took a strong network of friends (and a particularly supportive and protective femme friend) to help me realize that i deserved to be treated like a person.

i am really tired of seeing butches and femmes alike endorse the idea this is uwucute. its not. its extremely damaging. butches, please find your self worth. recognize that you have needs too. femmes, respect that butches are people. saying mentally unstable femmes use service-oriented butches is downright wrong and disrespectful. i dont care if its a joke or memepost. im exhausted. i know there is a lot of loneliness in being butch and femme. but we don't need to be glorifying unhealthy relationship dynamics, even as a joke. you can get the dynamic you seek (dominance and control) from healthy individuals that respect your personhood. everyone in the community deserves better.

Was thinking about an 'alternate universe' where a young Sasuke, in the absence of guidance on how to carry out his clan traditions, tries to connect to his fractured identity by spending time in the Naka Shrine and accidentally summons the ghost/spirit of Izuna who hears his cries of injustice and grief from the other side.

Truthfully, I don't know why it would be Izuna in particular, but I'm kind of playing around with the idea that his death was viewed as so unjustifiable and horrific by Madara that Madara's devastation over it prevented Izuna's spirit from properly/completely passing over into the Pure Lands. So, Izuna's spirit remains in this unaware-but-restless state and one day it materializes to answer the call of another Uchiha (who also just so happens to be an Indra transmigrant, like Madara, if we want to go there... maybe their emotions carry extra weight and power within the spiritual world) now trying to process his own unimaginable grief, this time over the death of his entire family, bloodline, and culture. Thus they become bound to one another (for better or worse) and Izuna is, from then on, always there, carried by (and only visible to) Sasuke on his journey...

Maybe they both come to believe that if they get justice for the clan (which they initially believe is by killing Itachi, 'the kinslayer') then Izuna will finally be freed and Sasuke will have done right by his family and avenged them. But really, I think what would actually be keeping Izuna 'stuck' is the plan that evolved (at least partially) from Madara's grief over his death, Project Tsukuyomi... thus their quest expands and the two then need to figure out how to alleviate Madara's guilt/sense of loss over Izuna's death and rekindle his feelings of hope in the world once more (ie. stopping the plan). Somehow, lol.

And I think Izuna would be a fun character to do with this with because there's so little we truly know about him, but so much we can infer due to his impact on other characters' actions/story events.

Idk, in my opinion there's just a lot of opportunity here for a good mix of heart and comedy, especially with Izuna as a more defined character that has a little more freedom than other characters to be molded. I also think having someone Sasuke can connect to, that's from his clan (but is also still deceased and a reminder of how alone he is, ie. end of the day Izuna is still a ghost, an ancestral relic of the now-dying clan) would have a profound effect on him.

It'd almost be like his own inner Kurama voice except Izuna provides no chakra or power amps, only scathing commentary on how much he hates the injustices of the village (and its Senju leadership) lol. Also, I like to think his reactions to all the in-universe stories about 'Madara's deeds' (which is really Obito) would be entertaining.

actually this drives me so crazy. can we think about what it means for a second that Lloyd is actually pretty damn hesitant to say he wants to see his father again? In comparison to Harumi, who enthusiastically declares that she'd do anything to see her parents again. I don't think thats a lie on her part - after all, this whole enterprise is essentially so she can resurrect someone she sees as a suitable parental figure. And later on, she's incredibly confident that one of her main similarities to Lloyd is that Lloyd is desperate to see his father again

Like she's not just referring to the love thing here, she's referring to the fact that she just stated literally 1 episode ago that she desperately desires to see her lost family again.

But Lloyd just doesn't really express that same confidence in desiring to see him again. And like, while you can take his response to Harumi's original question as mostly agreeing, to me it reads more like a measured non-answer. He talks about the relationship being unusual. He talks about missing him. He talks about being scared of what the SOG will bring back if they succeed.

Nothing in there is an affirmative that he actually WANTS to see his dad again, or that he would bring back his dad back himself if he had the chance. Food for thought.

I'm thinking about the Justice League and the Titans team-up, and other heroes team-up involving both Batman and Nightwing, and how often there are arguments about who should be leading. Well, in my humble opinion, Batman should not be fighting to be in charge, he should be fighting for Nightwing to be.

Bruce has multiple times vocalised that he thinks Dick is a better man and hero than him, but also that he thinks Dick is a better leader AND should led the JL one day. He even has acknowledged that more heroes like and trust Dick than him, and that's why Dick is better at this than him. So, the moment they are both working with other heroes, he should be written supporting for Dick to be in charge, not himself.

Thinking of the Nie disciple that told Nie Mingjue it was Meng Yao who stayed behind to clean up corpses on the battlefield today.

Nie Mingjue didn't just randomly stumble upon poor lil meowyao eating bread in the novel, he was already looking for him to thank and reward him for his work.

That's what makes it so fun that nieyao's first conflict will end up being about someone else taking credit for Meng Yao's work.

And I'm sure that Nie Mingjue's actual opinions on plagiarism are a lot more nuanced, all we really get from him in this scene is "well you shouldn't kill someone over it!" which leaves a lot of room for what punishments he thinks are appropiate. But I bet that it isn't occuring to him in this moment that the only reason he knows Meng Yao at all, the only reason he got such a capable deputy, is that he noticed someone was taking care of the dead and cared enough to want to know their name. And then the Nie disciples didn't lie to him. The disciple he asked could have said "it was me, Zongzhu" to rise in the ranks himself, but he didn't. He went and asked others, who all also could have taken the credit, but they didn't. Someone saw Meng Yao working and decided to be honest about it and that simple decision is the catalyst for Meng Yao becoming Nie Mingjue's deputy.

Meng Yao can't just work hard to get results, others have to acknowledge that work. If they don't, it's as if he didn't do anything at all.

Thinking about Tarn being transported to tf1 again. D16 coming across this big mech passed out from being transported not that he knows about that part and getting worried while he was looking for Orion. So he checks on the mech and make sure he's ok after helping him sit up. D16 tells this mech he likes his mask and asks if he also likes Megatronus before infodumping about the prime. Tarn meanwhile is trying process getting help from a baby version of his master who is super excited about finding someone else who also likes his favorite prime.

Omg you're so right 🥺 Dee is so concerned, gently trying to shake him awake and helping him sit up when he regains consciousness, and Tarn thinks he's hallucinating because cute teeny tiny little baby Megatron!

D-16 worriedly asks if he's alright, if he needs help getting to the hospital, and when Tarn declines, fidgets nervously for a moment before, "IreallylikeyourMegatronusmask!" said in an excited rush. When the older mech doesn't shoot him away, he hovers around excitedly, asking where he got it and how old it is, merch from the Primes is so hard to find!

Tarn freely tells him that the mask was forged especially for him, so he could carry out his life's purpose while bearing the face of the Cause.

"What's your cause?" Dee asks, optics shining and servos folded under his chin excitedly, hanging onto every word as Tarn explains. A world so peaceful no one could ever even dream of conflict. A blissful post-war state where no one even remembers what violence is, where no one is oppressed and lives in a perfect utopia free of strife.

D-16 agrees that it's a great dream, and very vigorously declares that he, "hopes his dream comes true someday!" Tarn would fight God for this sweet, naive little mech.
