Love is all

La Valpolicella è un meraviglioso territorio a nord-ovest di Verona famoso per un vino altrettanto meraviglioso quale è l’Amarone. Quando però le vinacce hanno completato ma non esaurito il loro compito, vengono utilizzate per produrre il Ripasso attraverso una seconda rifermentazione. Il vino che così si produce ha un costo di gran lunga inferiore all’Amarone ma comunque di buna fattura. Ho provato il Ripasso Superiore 2018 della azienda Tommasi (@tommasiwine ) ottenuto con uve Corvina (70%), Rondinella (25%) e Corvinone (5%) fatte riposare 15 giorni in acciaio per poi rifermentare per ulteriori 13 sulle vinacce dell’Amarone. Completa il ciclo di affinamento tramite 18 mesi in botte e 6 mesi in bottiglia. Ciò che se ne deriva è un vino che si presenta nel calice un bel rubino intenso, compatto e vivace. I sentori sono freschi di prugna secca, marasca, sottobosco, ferro, chiodi di garofano, rosmarino, tabacco. Un bel bouquet comunque complesso anche se di qualità tra l’accettabile ed il fine. Questo perché i sentori non sono sempre distinti. In bocca è secco, caldo, fresco, sicuramente morbido. Tannini maturi e di persistenza lunga. Un vino bilanciato che non necessita di ulteriore affinamento. La qualità è senz’altro fine e il vino si può definire sottile. La freschezza marcata nonché la gentilezza finale necessita di cibi come formaggi stagionati e carni rosse anche semplici. Il costo è davvero contenuto: 14€ (acquistato da @esselunga )

Calor pra caramba e ainda nem terminou o inverno... 🥵 O jeito foi abrir um branco português para refrescar! . Este é o “Muros de Vinha Branco 2017”, branco de entrada da @QuintaDoPortal, vinícola-boutique localizada na DOC Douro. . Na safra 2017 foi elaborado com 55% Malvasia Fina, 30% Gouveio e 15% Moscatel Galego Branco, e estagiou em tanques de inox, sobre suas borras finas, por cerca de 3 meses. . Na taça, mostrou coloração amarelo-palha claro com reflexos esverdeados. Aromas de pêssego, marmelo, maçã-verde, cera de abelha e um toque vegetal (azeitona?). Na boca tinha acidez moderada e corpo médio-baixo. Sabores cítricos e curta persistência. . A cor e os aromas me deixaram animados logo de cara... mas a boca me decepcionou: o vinho é simples, curto e sem grandes atrativos... Talvez uma safra mais nova entregue um pouco mais de frescor. Marsala non è solo il Marsala. Attorno alla cittadina siciliana è un proliferare di produttori che con grande pazienza e maestria portano avanti un progetto di sviluppo del vino. In una sera di fine giugno, a cena presso la meravigliosa Antica Trattoria da Pino (@anticatrattoriadapino ) in quel di Marsala, scelgo, per una fantastica cena a base di pesce, un vino da uve Grillo, un tempo utilizzate solo per la produzione del Marsala. Non è una bottiglia qualunque ma è Grappoli del Grillo di Marco De Bartoli (@marcodebartoli ). Un vino complesso, strutturato ma al contempo piacevolissimo. Un bianco che è facile da interpretare anche se al suo interno custodisce la sua storia fatta di grande selezione delle uve, pressatura soffice, acciaio e legno, batonnage per 12 mesi. Tutto ciò gli dona un bel colore paglierino con rilessi dorati insieme a dei veri e propri profumi di agrumi di Sicilia, frutta esotica, mandorle tostate, ananas, pesca, ginestra, zagare. Una nota di idrocarburo e iodio che lo eleva. Poi pepe bianco, salvia e macchia mediterranea completano un quadro olfattivo complesso, ricco. In bocca è meravigliosamente fresco, caldo, più che sapido. Grande persistenza e chiusura di bocca elegante con gli agrumi che tornano prepotenti ma sempre gentili. Ecco, quando bevi una bottiglia così, riesci ad accompagnarla a piatti di pesce in maniera egregia oppure berla solo per il piacere di assaporarne ogni sfaccettatura. Costo della bottiglia, 35€. Château Mouton Rothschild 1966 . Un monument dégusté à l’aveugle ! C’est tellement impressionnant qu’une telle intensité et une telle fraîcheur aromatique se retrouvent de manière aussi vive plus de 50 ans plus tard.
