Love is all

La Valpolicella è un meraviglioso territorio a nord-ovest di Verona famoso per un vino altrettanto meraviglioso quale è l’Amarone. Quando però le vinacce hanno completato ma non esaurito il loro compito, vengono utilizzate per produrre il Ripasso attraverso una seconda rifermentazione. Il vino che così si produce ha un costo di gran lunga inferiore all’Amarone ma comunque di buna fattura. Ho provato il Ripasso Superiore 2018 della azienda Tommasi (@tommasiwine ) ottenuto con uve Corvina (70%), Rondinella (25%) e Corvinone (5%) fatte riposare 15 giorni in acciaio per poi rifermentare per ulteriori 13 sulle vinacce dell’Amarone. Completa il ciclo di affinamento tramite 18 mesi in botte e 6 mesi in bottiglia. Ciò che se ne deriva è un vino che si presenta nel calice un bel rubino intenso, compatto e vivace. I sentori sono freschi di prugna secca, marasca, sottobosco, ferro, chiodi di garofano, rosmarino, tabacco. Un bel bouquet comunque complesso anche se di qualità tra l’accettabile ed il fine. Questo perché i sentori non sono sempre distinti. In bocca è secco, caldo, fresco, sicuramente morbido. Tannini maturi e di persistenza lunga. Un vino bilanciato che non necessita di ulteriore affinamento. La qualità è senz’altro fine e il vino si può definire sottile. La freschezza marcata nonché la gentilezza finale necessita di cibi come formaggi stagionati e carni rosse anche semplici. Il costo è davvero contenuto: 14€ (acquistato da @esselunga )

Located in the commune of Bourg, in the heart of the Côtes de Bourg region, whose wine-growing vocation dates back to Antiquity, our 9-hectare vineyard benefits from the specific microclimate generated by the Gironde estuary, giving the appellation's hillsides a significant advantage over other Bordeaux vintages: greater solar radiation, less extreme temperatures, and less rainfall. Planted on the slopes, near the banks of the Dordogne, our vines also enjoy ideal exposure for the ripening of the grapes, while the clay-limestone soil provides freshness and drainage. It includes the traditional Bordeaux grape varieties: Merlot (43%), Malbec (27%), Cabernet Sauvignon (24%) and Cabernet Franc (6%). The blend of these grape varieties produces a fruity, delicious and balanced wine.

Situé sur la commune de Bourg, au cœur de la région des côtes de Bourg, dont la vocation viticole remonte à l’Antiquité, notre vignoble de 9 hectares bénéficie du microclimat spécifique généré par l’estuaire de la Gironde, conférant aux coteaux de l’appellation un avantage non négligeable sur les autres crus bordelais : un rayonnement solaire supérieur, des températures moins extrêmes, une pluviosité moins importante. Plantées en côte, près des rives de la Dordogne, nos vignes jouissent par ailleurs d’une exposition idéale pour la maturation des raisins, tandis que le sol argilo-calcaire apporte fraîcheur et drainage. On y retrouve les cépages traditionnels bordelais : le merlot (43 %), le malbec (27 %), le cabernet sauvignon (24 %) et le cabernet franc (6 %). L’assemblage de ces cépages permet d’obtenir un vin fruité, gourmand et équilibré.
