hw; event 19 - masquerade ball

once again we have an extremely long plotting and starter call combo from jodie! hello friends! welcome to my plotting call for hidden's 19th event! you'll find each of my character's outfits on their names so if you fancy being nosy, which I've been doing to everyone else hehe, that's where you'll find them!

please hit the heart on this post and I'll come into your dms and we can plot out some stuff - I have some characters I might want to cause some chaos on and some that are down for just chill plots - but if you'd like to plot, you know where the heart is! as soon as this has been posted, I'll be messaging everyone who I'm paried with for a blind date if there hasn't already been a message sent! dw, I will be sliding into ur dms shortly! hehe!

starters are capped at five per character to begin with, if needed, I may do a random starter call in the discord or just individual starter calls! but as usual - please let me know who you'd like one for & pls be specific! also pls don't request more than four starters!!

anakin skywalker ,, going with padme amidala

anakin's never been a fan of big parties, but he's here for padme and padme alone. can't let his wife come to a party without her former jedi husband. is trying to ignore everything that's happened lately and ignoring how he's been feeling about himself by spending the night with padme, may even be convinced to dance if he's had enough to drink.

azula is used to parties, esp since she's a princess back home, but the whole blind date thing is so out of her comfort zone - but she's somewhat excited about the whole thing. to wear a pretty dress and have a good time at a party without being held to the standards she was before. will probs explore a little and maybe dance as well. azula doesn't really know how to have fun because of her upbringing, so this is all sort of new to her.

the kids are with a babysitter for the night and ben is going to use the night to spend with his fiance without there being any interruptions - have some adult time while having adult juice lmaooo (no more solo babies tho, yall are safe). is also going to be slightly on edge because of what's been happening with his family lately, but he's attempting to avoid that in order to have a good night.

no matter how hard you try she won’t delete it😭😭she thinks you look pretty in the pictures she took, so why delete them?

or option B, she stands there watching you, seeing how long it takes for you to notice she’s there… whole jumpscare when you finally notice her (she likes doing it to see your cute startled reactions)

she’ll hum along to the lyrics of the song, maybe even lay her hands on your body as you danced. (it makes u immediately freeze up, a flustered expression on your face as she chuckles next to your ear)

if you do decide to teach her one of the dances, she’d catch on very quickly.. she’s quite a quick learner ! except she purposefully messes up sometimes so u can adjust her posture etc (she just wants to feel ur touch on her skin ♡)

fu xuan :

is wowed by your impressive dance moves (but she doesn’t admit it “h-hmph, I’ve seen better.”) , she knew you were a good dancer but she had never rlly seen u dance before

she’s stuck in a trance watching you to the point she doesn’t even realize you’ve finished dancing and how you were currently staring at her. her cheeks flush as soon as she snaps back to reality as she turns her head away, crossing her arms. when you tease her about it, she’d only deny “i-i wasn’t staring at you!” even tho it’s insanely obvious she was

she probs has some toxic trait thinking she can also easily do that dance, getting all cocky w u and going “watch me do the dance better!” and proceeding to have to replay the vid a thousand times (except it’s no use, she’s still so confused <\3) she gets so embarrassed afterwards to the point u have to comfort her and let her know it’s okay ,,

she thought the dance u did was mesmerizing, and rlly wants to master it. so she reluctantly asks you for tips (with the tips of her ears flushed red hehe) in a way that makes u want to tease her about it

secretly tries to sneak up on u more to watch you dance more (you notice this but don’t point it out since yk how embarrassed she’d be)

himeko :

she heard loud music coming from your room, so she decided to check on you only to see u dancing to kpop songs lol

she’d make her presence known by clapping, her eyes slightly widened by how in awe she was of your skills !

might even start singing the songs (even if she’s unfamiliar w the lyrics) n dance along w u,,

or she’d most likely just sit somewhere and wait for u to finish before interrupting and stuff, her gaze fixed on you the entire time… she just thinks you look too good while dancing to take her eyes off of you! an approving look on her face as she stares you down intently, even though ur getting flustered by how much she’s staring </3

when u finish dancing to the songs, she’ll ask you for tutorials so she can dance along with you !! she’s also gonna give you tons of compliments, “you did so well” “you looked beautiful” “that’s so impressive” but as soon as you give her a tutorial she’s gonna be so confused haha ,, must be bcuz of her lack of experience when it comes to dancing..

she’s very supportive of whatever you do, if you decide to start a career w your dancing skills she’d cheer you on !

UGLY CATYUAN FIC is. almost finished actually! its probs gonna be the next non-prompt fic i post. another snippet is here!

summary: Weak creatures get snuffed out. It's not only the way life is, it's cosmic justice—those that are too weak to survive get culled by those stronger than them. Nature asserts itself.

In his hands, the kitten is small and wretched and too weak to survive. Shen Jiu takes it home.

Xiao Jiu obviously doesn’t care about that, or even notice. He gives everything a single harsh once over, and paces around the receiving room before whirling on Yue Qingyuan. He marches up to him, extends his hands, and Yue Qingyuan braces for a shove. Instead, he feels something small, warm and shivering be pressed to his chest. “Fix it.” He lets go before Yue Qingyuan has fully registered what is being given to him, but thankfully his own hands come up to catch and cradle the small body before it can be dropped. He looks down at the little kitten. The kitten looks up at him… or possibly to either side of him at once. He delicately taps one small ear with a finger and watches the way it twitches. The kitten is clean of blood, but it is damp and miserable looking. He raises it to his nose— it smells of urine and fear. “What does it need?” Xiao Jiu’s face is contorted in frustration. “The stupid thing wants to starve. I’ve been trying to feed it anything for two days. It’s going to die.” He drops down at Yue Qingyuan’s tea table and looks up at him. Two sets of eyes watching him, asking him for help, in their own ways. Something like fireworks are set off in his lungs. He cups his hands around the kitten and nods. “It won’t,” he says. Xiao Jiu scoffs, and turns away. —— The kitten, indeed, will not eat. That’s alright. Yue Qingyuan is used to keeping alive little, starving things.

okay so basically my life has been changed and I need to know how tf you write so well Waht is your process and are you writing anything else currently……..

HEYYY KIRA omg your comments on the instrument/the compass fr had me giggling KFHDJS i’m glad you liked reading them!! i have a tag (#m’s writing advice) where i’ve answered a couple of asks about how i write but i’ll link the two most relevant ones here!! hehe i’m so flattered by this though i really am giggling and kicking my feet etc etc

this is like my mega post in terms of how i go about writing fics and sums up my process in more words than necessary tbh 😭 i wrote it with long fics in mind (pre-bllk almost every fic i wrote was at or above 100k words) but i think it’s applicable to one shots too!!

this is how i approached writing kaiser in the instrument keep in mind i wrote the first part of the instrument in like june and this post is from july 4th so a LOT of info we know about him now wasn’t even out then!! that said i think it holds up pretty well…this does predate the second part of the instrument which was written much later but i kinda did the same thing there as i did in the first part so it works 😭 not QUITE as applicable to my one fic where he’s a (literal) angel because as a specific au there were adjustments that needed to be made but at the end of the day kaiser is kaiser so yeah (also ignore the part at the end where i say he’s growing on me that was a lie i still don’t fw him)

err as for current writing…i’m finishing up with a silly crack piece that’s a spinoff of another one of my more lighthearted fics so i’m hoping to have that out soon 🤔 and then i have a carnivorous pegasi racing au one shot for sae that i’ve been working on for my 1k event as well as a few other requests that have been rotting in my inbox which i should probs get to (as well as the rest of the stuff for my 1k event 😭)…not sure what will be out next but i’m hoping SOMETHING 😫 i haven’t posted any writing since november with my nagi-found-by-aiku au and any xreader stuff since my kaiser angel au request for my 1k event which was back in mid october 😰

i haven't drawn the boys in almost ten years at this point but honestly it came so naturally 😭 tmnt was the reason i started drawing seriously yall. also next is casey but,,, 2012 but different! bc i was talking to my friend n i like his 2012 design but wanted to make him a bit more in my style

and finally my baby, my son, my favorite oc ever, aiden. i made a fic with him also almost ten years ago and im actually rewriting it now hehe. ill prob post more art n maybe the fic soon so!!

also while i’m saying things i feel the need to mention that at one point like at least 3-4 years ago, i was contemplating making a side blog for dark content but alas. Too Much Work… but i still have the note in my notes app of most of my ideas *dreamy sigh* maybe one day? prob not though at least not on the side blog but i had designed it and set it up and everything but then i went …Nah… bc my attention span and motivation had both run out :p and i ran outta steam :p too bad so sad (not sarcasm at all. i do wish i would’ve played around w that idea more … now i have virtually no time ☹️☹️☹️)

Anytime I see you post something even if it's an answered ask, I always find myself reading them. You're simply a lovely person and so easy to like❤️

When it comes to ltm, I don't really mind either option. My impatience wants it now, but my feels want everything at once (probs so I can cocoon myself in blankets as I read it)🤭

That said, I listened to that song and it's a sad kind of soothing which in my opinion really matches ltm. If that's the vibe of the next chapters I'm sure I'll love them as much as I loved the last chapters🤗

Does Bug finally get an answer to the 'weird feelings in her chest' which all of us know what they are except her?

LTM chapter fifteen is almost here! I'm finishing the last scene today but it's getting quite long so proofreading will take me a bit :( but!! I'm so excited to get it out to you guys so I'm working quick <3

it will probably be the longest chapter yet I think! originally I would have cut the last scene to put in the next chapter, but I think it fits better here (and I've already promised you guys four scenes, so four scenes you will get!! :D )

home is indeed a soothing song!! I've been searching for songs that feel like coming home to the arms of someone you love xD I needed more sweet, comforting vibes for bug's return and I think it fit well!
