These ladies are female protagonists in their respective franchises. All of them have different body types that contrast from the default thin, petite body type that we're used to seeing. And all of them are BEAUTIFUL! 💖

Three of these ladies became love interests that ended up in healthy relationships with partners who love them for who they are. Also, four of them are women of color. (idk if Fiona counts. While she is green, she started off white so... 50/50? 🤷🏾‍♀️) That part is especially relevant to this post because Twitter got me EFFED UP. I'M ON ONE, ON TWO, ON THREE TODAY!

So the concept art of Mutant Mayhem's April O'Neil was revealed by James A. Castillo, an artist who worked on the movie.

And people are DRAGGING HIM LEFT AND RIGHT! Being disrespectful to both him and April's design. I can tell you right now not even a third of those quotes aren't positive! There is a vast difference between criticism and insults:

💛"I do not like this design. Besides the color yellow and her red/ginger hair, she simply doesn't read as April O'Neil." That's criticism. This expresses disproval of the design without any vulgarities.

💔"Rethink your entire career. "Artist" my ass! This shit is garbage! She looks like she sleeps in a van and smokes so much weed she reeks of it. You failed." That's disrespect. And I don't think I need to tell you why.

Normally, I tend not to discuss such sensitive topics on my blog (religion, politics, discrimination of ANY kind, etc.) for my sanity and out of respect for others with opposing views. But today, I will make an exception.

I would love to include Luisa, who alongside April was mocked and disrespected heavily for her appearance, but I wanted to speak on this matter from the perspective of a plus-sized African American woman. Luisa comes from an completely different background whose culture and standards I am not entirely familiar with. I can't speak on what I don't know. Respectfully.💜

In the black community, women are faced with colorism, texturism, constant comparison, and body image negativity on a daily basis. And a good amount of it comes from our own community! Our shade, our 4C hair, our weight, our attractiveness, our lifestyle! It's brutal out here!😭😭😭

However, in terms of media a plus-sized black girl is seen as ghetto, loud, and undesirable with a side of attitude. The best example I can think of is Dijonay from The Proud Family.

This is the show I grew up on! The theme song, the characters, the Suga Mama, ICONIC! I love Dijonay to pieces, but as I grew up I realize that she was, in some aspects, a negative portrayal. She was always chasing instead of being "the chase". She was a horrible friend to Penny. And she sucumbed to a lot of negative stereotypes with barely any redeeming qualities. And this was very disheartening considering that she was the darkest one in the group. And the heaviest. And as a little chubby wubby in the 2000s with THIS as my representation? I have to give the writers a bit of the side eye. Was she any better in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder? To that I would say.... meh. I love her in the reboot, but they could do so much more with her in my opinion. I still haven't seen them address the issue of colorism. 👀

While she is not a human, Gloria is voiced by a black woman (Jada Pinkett Smith) and imitates the sass of a black woman so... yeah. She's included. Gloria was persued by two men. One was the suave, flexing hippo Motto Motto. And the other was her friend/neighbor from her childhood Melman. She chose the latter for good reason of course. Now in Madagascar, Gloria wasn't mocked or criticized for her weight. In fact, hippos are known for their weight. However, she was seemingly fetishized for it. By Motto Motto to be exact. And being fetishized is NOT better than being ridiculed.

Unlike Dijonay, April was the chase, a love interest for Leonardo. I admit, I was SHOCKED that she was gonna be persued. Let alone that the writers wanted to try another Turtle/April pairing considering how April and Donnie went...😬. Now her backlash was on a completely different level. One that I wasn't even prepared for....

While Gloria and Dijonay are original characters, Mutant Mayhem's April O'Neil is a different interpretation of the character that has existed since the 80's. The same can be said for the Turtles, Splinter, literally everybody else! Every show and movie for that matter! And with every story, she changes. Design, motivation, relationships/dynamics, even race as of lately. All of it changes. And change isn't bad. In my opinion, it keeps things fresh and interesting instead of spoon feeding us the same story and concepts over and over again. Change challenges us. Change motivates us. However, some people don't like change nor want to accept it and adjust. And that's life. That's just the way it is. But change is necessary in order to progress.

She wasn't bad in the movie AT ALL. I absolutely adored her! And the dynamic between her and Leo wasn't akward or uncomfortable at all. It was handled really well. Ayo Ediberi did an incredible job bringing her to life! (GOD, I loved her in The Bear! Shameless plug lol)

That being said, I understand some of the sensitivity that fans have when a character changes so drastically you can barely recongnize them anymore beyond the bare minimun. (See also Sonic Boom's Knuckles) But the blatant discrimination, rude comments, and the boldness, THE AUDACITY, that some of these nasty Twitter fingers with their dirty fingernails have to type such disrespect to the artist that I can't repeat up here was wild af. Like, I can't believe we have to share a planet with some of them! Uggh!😷(But that's Twitter 24/7 so what's new?) Her and Rise April don't deserve the hate they get. You don't have to like them. Art is subjective. But to insult and harrass the artists and the people who look like the characters, then mask it under the umbrella of "tHaTs mY oPiNiOn" is 🐱. I said what I said. And I will say that shit again.

Also, just because she's black doesn't mean we can't have another white April O'Neil ever again. We know goodness well they could make another iteration of TMNT and make her white if they wanted to. Heck, I encourage them to explore other races and cultures too! New York is full of them! And it's not like all the other versions of April up and vanished. You can watch them anytime on Hulu, Netflix, Paramount Plus, etc.

One more point I'd like to make is that I am an African American woman who is currently on a weight loss journey. As a plus-sized girl, I had incredibly low self-esteem and picked up toxic, unhealthy eating habits from starving myself to overeating BECAUSE I starved myself. Also, I have experienced both sides from being disrespected and made fun of to being complimented and persued. I was at my biggest weight 2 years ago and I have made incredible progress to lose weight since then. People can lose weight. It is achievable! I went to school with some people who were way bigger than me that lost the weight by senior year! Just because she's big in this movie doesn't mean she can't lose weight by the sequel. Like I've said before, it's not wrong to encourage health and fitness!💪🏾 In life, they call this a glow up. A "remember how you treated them in high school" type of comeback. People can, and are allowed to, change. And it's not wrong to embrace your body and the skin you're in. It's all relative!💖

This post isn't to convince you to change your mind. And it won't make the bullies go away. I can't change the world overnight, nor am I trying to. At the end of the day, you're the consumer. It's your choice. Your prefrence. I can't tell you how to think.

I just wanted to spread a bit of awareness that plus sized people exist. And they will always exist. Everyone is deserving of representation in media in all facets. No matter their shape, size, shade, or sexuality. There are so many people from different walks of life who deserve to be seen and on screen. And the amount of visibility for black girls this year alone is amazing! And I want the same for other women of color, too!

Don't let this trash ass society and the people in it who prefer AI/robots over human beings, fake over real, and bad over good tell you otherwise. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. YES I AM TALKING TO YOU. YOU ARE AMAZING! YOU DESERVE ALL THE GOOD THINGS IN LIFE AND MORE. YOUR STORY CAN CHANGE LIVES. BEING A GOOD, HARD WORKING PERSON DOES PAY OFF IN THE LONG RUN! buut one more thing, Jupiter women trying to be the dad they never had is so true, I've definitely noticed that. My MIL is Vishakha Moon & she's kinda like, the man of the house. She had a very abusive upbringing with super incompetent parents & she ended up having to take a lot of responsibility for her siblings even as a child.

Of course she ended up with a partner who is- lowkey incompetent. He has some good qualities and he does work and all that, but he is a menacee. He expects her to do eeeverything and acts like a big man baby- he gets mad at her if she doesn't untie his shoes for him when he gets home from work. She gets up every morning at 2am with him without fail, gets his lunch ready, makes him breakfast before he goes to work. She makes him coffee and tea at his whim. He will go to the bathroom to have a shower, not bring his towel, then yell her name out incessantly until she comes and gets it for him.

Tmi but he also has no uh, aim in the bathroom- it's really gross, like, really really gross. I had a word with MIL about it, and I was kinda just like 'yeah I'm sure he doesn't mean to do it but maybe you should have a word with him' and she looked scared and kept trying to change the subject and kinda just went 'I'll make sure I clean it up after he goes in'. Like bro is scared to tell her man child ass husband to clean up after himself 😭 poor girl.. I mean I think she's content with how things are because she grew up with so much worse, so in her mind he's the best, but I did read that Vishakha Moon women in particular can absolutely worship their husbands.

She is veryyy generous but to the point that it's a bit overbearing and I feel bad but like, I live with them all currently and I'm very grateful but sometimes she's doing too much. Like she will come home with a bunch of treats and knick knacks and I'm like- thankyou but where do I even put this?? I have no space because of all of the other things you already gave me 😭💟

Also @makingspiritualityreal made a really good post on here about how in Vishakha, the feminine is debilitated so she finds herself constantly in her masculine and never able to simply rest and be the receiver.

ive mentioned him before but my Purvaphalguni Moon friend from college was a stereotypical Venusian man (he also had many Swati placements 🥰) and his dad was an alcoholic/generally incompetent guy who never did anything and quit working??? a long time ago??? (his elder brother provided for the family) and I remember how he often went grocery shopping or ran errands in the afternoon and sometimes rushed to go home bc his mom was waiting for him 😭😭🥺everytime he spoke to his mom on the phone, he became the softest guy ever and it made me feel so 🥺🥺🥺

unlike Lunar men who are complete mama's boys (prime example, Ranbir Kapoor, Shravana Moon),, Venusian men are more mama's little helper type dudes. In India, we have something called "raja beta syndrome" which is rooted in son preference (unfortunately sex selective abortions and female foeticide/infanticide is vvvv common in india) and most men grow up being treated like royalty (raja= king, beta = son). Some people get all the luck - they are connected to the right people and it makes their lives a thousand times better than the rest of us 😭. Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital has it's own share of family and friend drama most of the time (remember the Link - Amelia - Owen - Teddy - Tom drama? or Meredith and her surprise sisters?), but sometimes even these characters take it too far and we have to call it out!

So just to lay out the family relationship (not including romantic relationships) on this show:

Meredith: 2 sisters (Lexie & Maggie), and her mom Ellis Grey

Derek: 1 sister (Amelia) and 1 nephew (Lucas Adams Shepherd)

Owen: 1 sister (Megan)

Andrew: 1 sister (Carina)

Jackson: his mom (Catherine Fox) and his grandad (Harper Avery)

Richard Webber: his bio daughter Maggie (this is a technicality but still!)

I won't even get into the tangled web that is the dating chart of the doctors at the hospital! So many characters have gotten jobs that they really weren't qualified for based on the relationshipsnthey have

WARNING MENTIONS SWEARING, MATURE THEMES AND DRUGS!

I had been asked to do an interview which didn’t happen as often as you would think but somehow Robyn had convinced me to actually start doing more interviews. 

So here I am sat with Jada (Will Smith’s wife) on her Red Table Talk, I’m just prepared for this to go off the rails cause I've watched a few episodes and they get really deep. I mean I have quite the background, there’s even a few things that the public doesn’t know but I had talked to Robyn yesterday and she said to not say anything that you don’t want to and if I do, ask the producers to take that shit out.

Jada came over to me and introduced herself and we sat down at the table to begin the interview.

“Alright Welcome to another episode of Red Table Talk, today we have Jordyn Fenty with us! How are you?” Jada starts up the show and introduces me. 

“I’m good, a bit nervous but good.” I laugh nervously, rubbing my hands on my jean covered legs and took a sip of the water in front of me. “That’s understandable, this is your first interview you've had for awhile.” Jada says as she looks over the table at me which makes me a little more nervous.

“So you're now a married woman, how has that been going?” Jada asks, making me think of Robyn which makes me automatically start grinning like a love sick puppy. 

“It’s been great. It’s even better than I had imagined it would be. We’ve obviously had our ups and downs but we have always been there for one another. I’m telling you, Robyn has got me wrapped around her little finger, I’d drop everything if she needed me and I know she would do the same for me.” I intertwine my hands and rest them on top of the table as I talk about Robyn.

“How did the two of you meet and when did you get together?” Jada asks me and I laugh thinking about the time we first met.

“It’s uh quite the story actually. I met Robyn in Barbados, I lived in the street next to her but I didn’t meet her until we were about 15. I had gotten kicked out of my home by my Father cause he had found out that I’d been dealing weed. So I was couch surfing for awhile before I met Robyn at a house party and we ended up getting along really well, we swapped phone numbers and we became really close friends then she found out that I didn’t have a permanent place to stay so she told her Mama. I tell you Mama Monica is not a force you wanna come up against, she told me that I would be staying at theirs from then on. A year later she went to the states to pursue music and I came with her. We didn’t start dating until 2010, Robyn confessed to me after Melissa, her best friend, convinced her to take a chance for once. I have had feelings for Rihanna since I was 15 but I didn’t want to hold her back so I didn’t confess any feelings to her until she did.” I say as I thought back on some particularly tough memories of mine as my eyes started tearing up but I quickly wiped them and took a gulp of water. 

“Oh wow, so you’ve known each other almost all your life. I assume you have a good relationship with her family if you lived with them for a year?” Jada asks curiously.

“Ah yeah definitely! They are my family and have always been there for me, I love them.” I say smiling at the camera then wink know that Mama Monica was most likely gonna watch this along with Rorrey and Rajad.

“Was it hard for you to witness Rihanna in other relationships?” Jada asked as she took a sip of her drink.

“Yeah definitely. It wasn’t the best experience but I tried to be there as much as I could for her throughout any relationships she had but there were many times that we would get into arguments about the way some of the guys would treat her cause I wanted the best for her and knew she could be a hell of a lot better.” I said thinking back on some of the relationships that Robyn had been in and how crappy she had been treated. I made a promise to myself and Robyn that I would never ever treat her like that, she is the love of my life and I would treat her as such.

“How did you feel when you found out about what Chris Brown did to Rihanna?” Jada asked curiously.

“Honestly? I was angry and all I wanted to do was beat the shit outta him but that isn’t what Robyn needed, she needed someone to be there for her and that's what I did.” I said not really believing that Jada would bring this topic up when it happened just over a decade ago.

Just as Jada went to ask another question my phone started ringing and I quickly looked at the screen to see that it was Robyn calling me. “I am so sorry, it’s Robyn.” I say and Jada motions for me to answer the call so I do exactly that.

I put the phone on speaker and all I heard was Robyn sniffling. “What’s wrong?” I say concerned as it wasn’t very often that Robyn would call me crying and stood up, pacing back and forth.

“Babe…it worked, we havin’ a babyyyyyy!!!” Robyn shouted down the phone excitedly, making my eyes go wide as I looked around the room and noticed that Jada motioned for the camera crew to stop recording. “Uhhh…shit Robby, I’m doing an interview.” I say rubbing my neck nervously as this is definitely not how Robyn would want people to find out.

“You ain’t think to tell me dat?! Eh they can edit dat shit out.” Robyn says with her bajan accent coming out slightly and the producers and other crew burst out laughing.

“Rob I gotta go but I’ll call you as soon as I finish this up, I promise. I love you.” I say chuckling as Robyn makes kissing sounds down the phone. “Luv yuh too.” Robyn says then hangs up the phone and I laugh shaking my head in disbelief, we were having a baby together.

_______________Later In The Hotel__________________

I was finally back at the hotel and just about to phone Robyn as I got ready to go to bed. She picks up after the phone rings a few times, she was laying on a hotel bed in a robe when she smiled at you. “Hey babe.” Robyn says as she looks at me lovingly through the phone.

“Heyyy baby.” I say as I do my skin care before going and laying on the hotel bed to talk to Robyn. “So were havin’ a baby?” I say excitedly as Robyn laughs which makes me smile cause she has such a gorgeous laugh.

“Yeah. How would you feel about joining me for the rest of my tour? If you don’t have any more press to do?” Robyn asks me and I nod yes as soon as the question leaves her mouth.”Course I wanna join you! Why would I turn down time with my girl?” I say wiggling my eyebrows with a suggestive tone which makes her glare at me playfully.

“You play too much boo.” Robyn jokes as she laughs at my playfulness and shakes her head. 

“WASSUPPPP JORDYYYY!!!” Melissa says running and jumping on to the bed next to Robyn so she was in view of the camera causing Robyn to roll her eyes. “Don’t roll yo eyes at me bitch!” Mel says pushing Robyn and she pushes her back and Mel falls off the bed onto the floor.

Me and Robyn look at each other through the phone and burst out laughing.

👸- I'm breaking my rule of not talking about them for a hot second. I know this is lengthy, but I have a lot to say about how they are trying to drum up media by using fans.

It just occured to me we, the fans whoever is left, were used again. They saw pur comments about not giving them attention and adjusted thier strategy.

We all saw the photos discusses for maybe 180 minutes and then moved on. We all know they gave us what we all said last tine was missing/odd down to her out of place (we assume cause no one could actually see the dress) outfit and ridiculous heels to a "loving" hand hold flashing the ring.

But we all went theres a picture of before a possible kiss and after a possible kiss. But somehow they missed the money shot which many of us saw as in they didnt or whatever. Then we moved on to other topics and Then 24 hours later we get a video with 2 kisses and the video of said walking out.

THE PICTURE AND VIDEO OF THE KISS WAS HELD DELIBERTLY.

They did this deliberately to make sure fans talk about them for longer. Otherwise the picture of the kiss would have been released with all the others.

They did this because fans said that they arent going to give them and the poop show attention so it can go away faster. So what do thier teams do? Split up the relases. Usually outlets would have both whoever the pics were sold too usually gers the video but regardless the video is usually released at the same time.

And robert patterson who isnt media shy with his significant other went out the back to try and leave privately while the couple that says they are private didn't find a private way to leave.

chris and ebola waited infront of the glass in a weird position then give us those two very loving kisses. (I hope you all can detect my tone here)

We all saw her smirk and Chris' other language fans know so well. And if his body language starts changing again we will know it's because we all discussed it and the lurkers saw. If his body language doesnt change, that's a point in the win collum of it bejng true. Go ship. So congratulations, we all believe it is now true love!

The truth is no amount of papwalks can convince us anything other than someone seriously is holding something over Chris because I dont see any other reason why he's being forced to change to sell it. Its one thing to show up places, but having them try and act more like a couple from him is also another sign that its a sham. We have what 2 years' worth of videos to watch how they interact to compare to, so stop trying to give notes it makes everyone looks worse.

Real couples don't change what they wear and how they hold hands and act based on what fans say. Why because its idotic to do so no one wants to pretend to be aomeone they're nkt and destroys relationships as you can be who you are. And while im assuming that was gunna be the break uo angle- blame it on the fans you can't this time. Why?

This time you can blame his fans because its not just his fans the gen public online isn't buying thany of this bull 💩. That is based on Instagram comments and website comments all which have been limited/turned off the ability to comment.

After Britney Spears being forced to say she's fine for media ( a totally diffrent aituation minus that she was forced to lie that she is ok) and after Will smith and Jada revealed theyve seen seperated for 6 years but pretend theyre together for media reasons, people don't believe a lot of what's 'saud' ??and they especially dont believe/m and questjjn Hollywood couples like they used to

I have been so proud of the fandom or rather what is left to getting rid of the lablels and limiting our discussions.

Regardless if its her pr team CAA's team who is not only Chris' (as they are invested and actually have a distribution type role (i forget the exact name) in her new movie i teams really just proved how fake everything is and that they are lurking otherwise why would everything we all said across milti platforms tumblr, instagram and lipstick queen was suddenly included in this walk.

Do you want us to be convinced it's really a real relationship and they are just in the media to drum up press for thier releases?

(She had a movie that opened 2 days ago over seas)

Do you want to prove they are a real couple?

Then don't release ANYTHING for the next 2 months. No pap walks no reels no photos no stories, no magazine or website blurbs or sources, and no photos carousel of even Dodger. Her movies is released in 2 more places one in the end of January. The other was supposed to be in February but when I just checked the date was removed. Othwewise I expect to see another dog and pony show on or around January 27th.

If we get nothing for two months including Valentine’s day and this included blurbs in mags/online or "sources". Putting nothing out there it will go a long way to convince people that they are a private couple and they are together.

If not and we get one as planned on or around the 27th....

The truth is that her career is a non starter in the usa/north america. Not everyone makes it here- we all have seen way too much of her and since that didnt get any media coverage of that scandle nothing will really get her talken about minus 1 thing:

His career is close to being the same. We all see how Chris looks and the diffrent man he is now. Some are still holding out hope that well once again see the man who tweeted if you hang out with racists you are a racist even a charity wants nothing to do with him and he did do a lot for them, we all see that and that. That's why chris' career will dissapear or be on the c or d list as the man who used to be thst superhwro guy. My Point is:

IF YOU CONTINUE TO USE FANS LIKE THIS he won't have a career to go back to and all you press agents will be dropped because he wont have mkney to spend on people.. people who helped his career go down in flames. The only way he'll really be talked about for more thsn 300 minutes is if there is a break up article with truths

Otherwise we'll see you both again at the end of January and Chris will be told to adjust/change what he did wrong.... at least hollywoof knows he can take direction... we'll see the photos first sent to obscure blogs/accounts, then an outlet and then apprently video follows the photos now because you are all THAT desperate

P.S. it's a great choice to have him get makeup done makeup job on He looks a lot healthier (no one is buying that he actually changed that much in such a small amount of time is he wearing the new Prada or Dior foundation?)
