Author’s Notes | It took me a loooooong time to post it (years, I know. I’m sorry…) But here it is! I hope it comes in good time. Info | Viking Age AU. Inspired by Björn’s reaction in Ragnarssons In: His trash, my treasure. ⁑ Warnings: None.

Children are so easy to conquer!

Boys are easier, but girls are not impossible.

The boys were easily carried away by his stories.

Girls would usually be taken by his titles.

But being a prince didn't catch that little girl's attention,

Not even being Ragnar's son made her feel safer with him.

She ran away several times before allowing him to lower himself to her height.

She spent long moments of silence before answering even one of his questions!

There were days of little nods before the first word.

Her name was all he could get for weeks!

The interest attracted her mother, of course. It was the goal from the start.

However, the little girl won his heart before his plans were made.

She was a calm child. But why was she so scared?

First, he wanted to understand for himself.

Then, he called her mother to talk and understand.

What a stupid idiot her father was, uh?

So, he thought that one girl wouldn't be enough. 

The asshole wanted a man who would later take his place.

He took the girl in his arms.

And he smiled when she gave him a little hug around his neck.

One of his hands encircled her mother's waist.

If that's what that bastard wanted, then he would be the man to take his place.

And he would train and teach that little girl as if she were his.

Then later...

She would be better than any of her father's dreams.

He would make that family his pride.

And if her dad came back and tried anything

He would send him to find the closed doors of  Valhalla with the shame he deserved to feel!
