Kody and Robyn's house is officially for sale and y'all know I love a house tour, so I went to the Zillow immediately. and LOOK at their bedroom

I just know those BRIGHT purple accents with the beige walls are all Robyn 😭😭

There were also detailed pictures of that room with all those paintings Kody loves by that one weird ass bigot, but they had to take them down because too many people pointed it out

I also love how literally everyone predicted they'd have to sell the McMansion after being cut off from the other wives finances, are sure enough here we are.

I just saw TLC’s Season 1 —> Now photos and I need to know did Kody:

A - straighten his hair in early seasons

2 - start getting perms at one stage

you've come to the absolute right place for this question. Kody's Hair has been a fascination of mine since I first started watching that show in 2010, it's a cast member to me at this point.

Kody has naturally curly hair as far as i can tell (a lot of his kids also had super tight curls as babies) but in the early years, he had no idea what to do with it. he had this very long and mysterious hair care routine that was a running joke on the show, because he spent more time getting ready than any of the wives (it was over an hour at least on his hair alone or something crazy like that).

but we do know from the show that part of the routine included him applying multiple random products after a shower and then blow drying his hair in a way that made it kind of poofy and weird looking, which he then emphasized with hair spray. see exhibit A:

contrary to popular belief, he usually didn't use a straightener to achieve this Look. as we can see in exhibit B (which is from an episode where Meri straightened his hair before a date), the Poof he loved so dearly can not easily be achieved with the straightener:

he kinda looks like meri there tbh. also, she made a point to emphasize that she preferred his hair like this 😭.

some time after Robyn comes into the picture, she starts to teach Kody about diffusing and hair products that will work *with* his naturally curly hair and not against it, which eventually leads us to the Ramen spirals we have become accustomed to today. the transition period bt poof and ramen was pretty long though, it took him a few years to really nail down a routine and find his signature Tendril style:

His full routine is still mostly a mystery, but we do know from Robyn that it's just as long as it's ever been.

tldr; Kody has never gotten a perm or regularly used a hair straightener (at least not that he or the wives have admitted to) he just makes many questionable hair choices. he used to be bad at maintaining his natural curls, but now that he knows how to define them, he's going to hang onto every last strand in his head for dear life.
