Hi, my name is Kay!! Im a big reader, especially of classic young adult stories, like what Louisa May Alcott and Frances Hodgson Burnett wrote. I crochet and am learning to knit! I like small projects, and I've made bags, hats, little toys, etc. I watch mid 2000s tv usually, but I do enjoy some more recent shows and movies. I listen to music, especially at night. I play basketball, and do HJ, LJ and discuss. I am also taking ballet!! I dress mainly in a downtown esc style, with like a hint of americana and California teen (think brandy and jean shorts+ tie dye😭) sometimes i throw the occasional long skirt in there. Billy stares out into the motel window, the sky as drab and dreary as Billy was feeling. He patted his hand at the empty spot where Dallas would be sitting yet now all that resides there is that lighter he gave Billy for his birthday last year.

About the same time the rain started to pour onto the windows glass so did Billy’s tears start to pour out.

“What do you think your sister would look like in high school if she was still alive?”

Billy spouted to Dallas randomly, a bottle of whiskey next to him that he was already three glasses into.

“Huh?”

Dallas gave Billy a strange look. Like he just said the drinks were poisoned.

“I just asked what do you think your sister would look like if she was still alive?” Billy reiterated. Dallas raised a brow at the repetition.

After that Billy didn’t remember much, other then he was alone and Dallas’s stuff was gone from the motel room.

Billy flops onto the dingy bed, it creaks under his weight.

He sniffs the air for a moment, the smell of Dallas’s hair that got burned by his cigarette when he fell asleep while smoking still lingers and Billy hates it.

…

“Ow! Fuck!” Billy hears Dallas howl out in pain from the bathroom. He rushed out to make sure everything’s okay.

“Hey hey, what wrong?” Billy asked softly with traces of sleepiness lingering in his voice with him just waking up only 10 minutes ago.

Dallas lightly chuckles and nods, tilting his head up a bit to look at Billy. “Yeah, yeah I’m good. I just fell back asleep while smoking…” Dallas says with another light chuckle.

The smell of the burnt hair smells atrocious, especially mixed in with how greasy Dallas’s hair is. Yet it just makes Billy love him even more somehow…

Now that’s probably the only scent left of Dallas now that Billy can smell.

Billy grabs the phone off the bedside table, pressing it to the side of his face and slowly punching in Dallas’s number with a shaky hand.

Dallas remembers basically nothing from that bar, except for downing quite a few beers and shots.

The large denim jacket wrapped around his body shifts around and sags off his body as he stumbles around to his couch. Also not having the recollection that the denim jacket isn’t his.

Because of having no memory of this, Dallas feels around in the pocket, eventually finding something that isn’t his phone but rather Billy’s.

With thinking it’s his phone, Dallas begins to scroll through till his drunken mind somehow figures out that the number isn’t his.

So with shaky fingers Dallas dials up Billy.

“Hey is this… that guy… William?”

“Hello? Is this… Dallas? From the bar?”

“H-hey is Dallas there?”

“Oh… hehe… yeah this is Dallas…”

“You know… ever since you’ve left I’ve been missing you…”

“From the bar…?”

“Miss me? But I’m right here…?”

“I know you can’t respond right now… and you’ll never respond again but… you can keep that jacket for as long as you want.”

“I know you can’t respond because you’re so drunk right now… but can you return my jacket and phone in the morning?”

“I love you…”

“…I love you too…”

“What?”

(radical face - always gold) had this song on my mind for many reasons but also bc it reminds me of my ocs. this part specifically punches me emotionally, because right after the "oh i dont mind" it kicks off a very emotionally intense instrumental with no lyrics, right before the final verse.
