why did you choose choice script and not itch.io? so many start with choice because it seams easier but then change to itch.io because of issues, its unstable and has bad support.

also you can self publish on itchio after its finished and earn money wich is great! aaaand you can create a custom interface that brings so much more to the whole experience and add music and other stuff. it has a lot of support groups on reddit and discort. also there are a lot of free presets and templates

Hello there Anon, thank you for the ask!

There‘s several reasons why I decided to choose Choice script. Of course one of em is that it‘s easy, ngl here. But the most important reason for me is that I came in touch with IFs theough Choice of Games and Hosted Games. I love the fact that it is one App where I find all my favourite IFs. These days some of my favs are also on Itchio or steam. But regarding the fact that I myself mainly play on my phone… like sometimes read stuff until 2am in bed, it is just my first handy choice. I enjoy the individuality of itchio but as a 99% mobile player I suffer under the suboptimal interface and performance? Zoomin in, pinch, move, stuff not working for mobile, sound playing although I muted it, saves disappearing etc. i know you can make more money there than on Choicescript but that‘s not my priority.

The only thing i struggle to understand, why don‘t people add save option to Choicescript? Doesnt it work? Do they want the player to ply the damn whole piece? It‘s rare that I saw an option to go back to a certain spot and I have to admit, that because i play my favs XX times I sometimes rush through sections and if I accidentally mis-tap a choice… i hate it.

So yeah? Long monologue on why I landed on choicescript…

That moment when you go to read a terribly written explicit fanfic hoping to laugh at how bad it is only for it to cause you trauma, yeah.

Btw, for those that do know what fic we were talking about, I made this vid before the 5th chapter came out, so that's why there's no mentions of it.

And for those that wanna read it, sorry but for specific reasons I can't say the name of the fanfiction. However it's not that hard to find so....

analysis time!! since op didn’t follow any set rules someone had to fix it

here are the first three sentences witch are used as a source by mixing the words from each

i used colors and bold letters to divide them

1. sunny walk in the park

2. bake some cookies for the neighbours

3. maybe do a spot of gardening

4. a sunny walk in the neighbours (1,2)

5. bake some spots in my garden (2,3)

we can see that both sentences 4 and 5 use the first part of one statement and the second part of the statement following

now THIS is where it gets interesting, because number 6 is not (3,1)!! as some might assume (me) it’s actually (3, 1, 2):

6. maybe do the park for some cookies (3, 1, 2)

following the rules of the previous sentences i propose these options as a new sentence 6:

maybe do the park;

maybe do a spot in the park

———

now for the logistics of the last sentences, which is even a bigger mess

7. sunny bake (1, 2)

number 7 uses the 1st words from sentence 1 and 2

difference being that previously we used whole parts of the sentences!

8. walk in the cookies (1, 2)

again we’re using words from sentences one and two! previously would be (2, 3)

also it uses the 2nd and 3rd word, so for some consistency i offer these options:

using last words: park for the neighbours

using 3rd words: park the cookies

using 2nd words: walk in the some

(both are still (1, 2)) so we have to fox that:

another alternative for sentence 8 would be sequence (2, 3) first words:

bake (for the) maybe

or (2, 3) second words, since it’s the second sentence. using this logic we get:

some (do a) spot

and we’re breaking the rules again with sentence 9, but now it’s not a combination of all three sentences!

it’s breaking the rule of using only one word from each sentence, it uses parts again!

9. maybe do a spot of neighbours (3, 2)

alternatives which fit my little analysis:

combining all sentences as was done in sentence 6, so (3, 1, 2) but with 3rd words:

gardening (in the) park cookies

(3, 1, 2) with 1st words:

maybe (do a) sunny bake

now the “fixed” method from sentence 6 - using only two sentences - leaving us with (3, 1) with 3rd words:

gardening (in the) park

(3, 1) with 1st words

maybe (do a) sunny

Immediately cut to the next scene where Dick, wearing the iconic Robin suit, is having the time of his life swinging across the city while Bruce frantically tries to keep up with him while yelling at him to be careful like an anxious mother
