Selling your soul for benefits isn't real because if it was trans people (and cis people) would have the bodies they want.
#do you see my vision#that's why the little mermaid is so loved especially by the trans community#because it's about how if magic exists the first and most popular use for it would be completely changing your body#bbl is not only the deadly cosmetic surgery but surgeries in general a lot of places have made it illegal and people still travel to get it#could you imagine if people could get on demand permanent changes to their bodies no one would ever feel ugly again

Accuracy influenced by entire natal chart.
Venus Conjunct Mars
In the chart of women, I have noticed partners were all complete strangers who made the first move. Ex: Random customer asking for her # at work. Random classmate coming up to them after uni lecture. DM from a stranger on IG by surprise.
Another thing two of these meetings have in common is there was a brother, cousin or make friend that helped introduce the man to the woman.
For ex: the random customer wasnāt so random, he knew her because she previously worked with his brother. Although, he was still a stranger to her.
For people with this conjunction, their romantic lives works best when they donāt go out of their way to meet partners. Things like signing up for a dating app may lead to dead relationships. They needed someone to match their bold and direct energy. Often, they may find that they do encounter many bold and confident men. This can change if Venus holds the lower Venus and if Mars is in a weak sign.
Mars in First House
They develop or are born with a prominent scar or birthmark on their body. Often, this scar just makes them look more attractive.
Ex: Birthmark on the face, Heart Surgery scar, Acne scars, Cut, C-section scar, etc.
When Venus is involved the scar may be around the chin area or lower face. Ex: a mole or little line under the lips.
This is a very stereotypical observation but it is true every time I meet someone with this placement!
Jupiter in 10th House
For two of my family members with this in their Vedic natal chart, they ended up in careers where they work from home. Jupiter is not the ruler of their 4th H.
They found these jobs after the age of 30. Early life they worked various jobs where one had to be physically present.
Saturn in 3rd House
This can create a karmic connection with siblings. You may feel restricted when communicating with them. You may feel there is a coldness to your connection with them. You may become emotionally or physically distant.
You may even see this strained connection in their natal charts. For ex: My cousin doesnāt get along with my other cousins (her sister & brother). She has Saturn in 3rd, her brother has Saturn in 3rd too. Their sister has lilith in 3rd.
Lilith in 3rd House
This suggests one feels excluded from connections with siblings. And feeling like an outcast in early life/ early education. The way they communicate may be very unique. They arenāt fully accepted or understood by their peers.
For example: You feel excluded from the bond your siblings have or you feel you were often excluded from your childhood friend group.
Accuracy for your chart will be influenced by entire chart.

Observing cosmetic surgery with astrology š
Depending on the chart you use. You can find where in your chart you could possibly get plastic surgery for. Today I will be using vedic astrology and looking at people's Venus persona chart (in Tropical).
Natal chart
Kehlani has her Mars in Cancer at 24Ā° in the 2nd house and she has gotten breast implants before (she stated in a interview [11:55] that she has gotten them recently removed). Kehlani saw comments that were body shaming her and out of insecurity, she got cosmetic surgery. Which explains the 2nd house, the 2nd house is about security and comfort, if Kehlani had gotten the implants with the intention for her own self esteem, she would have had enjoyed them more but since she did it out of insecurity, it negatively impacted her self esteem even more. 24Ā° is the degree of Pisces, Kehlani said her breast implants were making her sick and feel "physically older". Pisces can make things illusive and portray a fulfilled fantasy, but eventually the watery energy can make one experience issues with their mental health. After Kehlani consulted with multiple doctors and discovered her implants were the problem, she had realized the mood swings, depression, body aches, etc, were because of the cosmetic surgery. With her Cancer ruling her Mars, it could explain why it was physically starting to deteriorate her body.
Solar return chart
Kylie Jenner got her lip fillers in 2015, she has her Natal Uranus, Jupiter, and Saturn in the 1st house. In her solar return chart, her Uranus transitions into Aries. Aries rules the head. With the Solar Return Uranus being at 20Ā°, which is the sign of Scorpio, it could explain why within the following years her physical experience continued to drastically transform. Kylie also experienced an increase in popularity and her allure was admired by many people. Kylie's solar return Pluto transitioned into her 1st house. Her lip fillers and cosmetic surgeries impacted a whole generation to imitate her look and change their style. Kylie's Jupiter in the 8th house can also apply to her finances. Her overall abundance and wealth was changed forever. She then proceeded to start her business and released Kylie Cosmetics on November 30th, 2015.
Venus persona chart
In Nicki Minaj's Venus persona chart, she has her pluto and ascendant in Libra, while Pluto being in her 1st house. Nicki's body has been a hot topic for years and has been infamously known for her voluptuous figure and large derriere. Many have had questioned Nicki Minaj on her big butt, after it being a nonstop discussion for years, Nicki's responded in her song "Only": "Don't worry about if my butt fake". People thought Nicki was denying she had work done but if you pay attention to her discography, she stated in her feature with Big Sean's hit song "A$$" that she had gotten ass shots (AKA butt injections).
"Kiss my ass and my anus, 'cause it's finally famous
And it's finally soft, yeah, it's finally solved
I don't know, man, guess them ass shots wore off"
With Libra being her ascendant, Nicki's body has always been naturally curvy. With her Pluto being at 28Ā° and the degree being in Cancer. Her body weight could tend to fluctuate due to hormones or become more plump during pregnancy or after childbirth. This could also mean that her butt has been a sensitive subject for her and could make her very emotional. In a recent interview, Nicki Minaj discusses the work she has gotten done and has said the things Lil Wayne and his friends would say in the studio about women with big butts had made her feel self conscious about her body. Nicki considers Lil Wayne as her mentor and said that he is like family to her, so since 28Ā° (Cancer) can tie into your home or family matters. That could explain why it hit close to her heart for her and why she felt pressured to fit into a certain beauty standard. Her ascendant being at 1Ā° (Aries) can explain why she had work done to compete in a male dominated industry and obtain her spot as one of the top female rappers in the industry. Nicki Minaj's beauty, talent, and skills played a major part in her success.
Could you get cosmetic work done as well? Here are some indicators to look for in your chart.
Positive indications of a successful cosmetic surgery:
Natal ascendant trine venus, pluto, jupiter, or mars
Jupiter in the 1st, 7th, or 8th house
Aries, Cancer, Libra, Sagittarius, or Scorpio ascendant, pluto, jupiter, or venus in your natal/solar return chart
Pluto conjuct/trine ascendant or in the 1st house
Venus conjuct/trine ascendant or in the 1st house
Uranus conjuct/trine ascendant or in the 1st house
Neptune conjuct/trine ascendant or 1st house
Virgo in Venus or Jupiter
Cancer, Libra, Taurus, Sagittarius, or Aquarius Jupiter
Venus or Libra/Taurus in the 6th house
Leo, Libra, Pisces, Virgo, or Aquarius in the big 3.
Venus, Uranus, or Pluto dominance or Libra, Aquarius, or Scorpio stellium
Positive aspects to Rahu
Negative indications of a unsuccessful cosmetic surgery:
Natal 22 degrees (mars, pluto,or saturn)
Donda West, Kanye West's mother, has her Natal mars at 22 degrees (her birth time is unconfirmed so we are using universal time which is noon). She died on November 10th, 2007. Her Mars transitioned into Taurus at 12Ā°. 12Ā° is the degree of Pisces. Since 22Ā° is known as the "kill or be killed degree", the surgery was too drastic for her health. Her Venus being at 29Ā° in her Solar Return chart is why her death became such a big discussion in the world of cosmetic surgery.
Mars dominance or Aries dominance.
Mars Square ascendant
Pluto Square ascendant
Saturn Opposite ascendant
Gemini, Capricorn, or Cancer.
If you have a Saturn dominance or Capricorn stellium. Surgery is not recommended. These people have prominent bone structures and it is obvious when they try to change it
Gemini also have an obvious duality and have unique features. Their appearance could be questioned but it could be hard to pin point what's different about them.
In vedic strology, Ariana Grande has her rising sign in Sagittarius at 28Ā° (Gemini degree) as well as a Aries Venus. Her change in physical appearance has been a big controversy and included in a lot of heated debates on social media (Ariana has been called out multiple times for cultural appropriation). She can be impulsive when it comes to getting work done and instead of fixing the problem, she adds to it
Negative aspects to Rahu

anon from earlier here. i thank you for your nice response to my words, and i do respect that you are supportive of trans people's presentation, though it is a bit confusing to me that you said this in your response when i am aware that you have uncritically reblogged a post claiming trans women to be men in a derogatory manner a few posts down? i understand that you may not share that view despite reblogging the post, however it does not fill me with confidence in your convictions that you support how trans people present and identify.
i would like to say that, while you and your personal circle of radfems may not harass any trans people, and i appreciate that, that there are many radfems who do, in fact, harass trans people. not simply arguing passionately like someone in the replies of your post claimed might be misconstrued, actual harassment. i have personally witnessed entire campaigns of harassment against popular trans users led by radfems. again, i am glad that you don't do this, but it does happen.
lastly, i am curious what you mean by "at the expense of women's rights" with regards to changing of sex. of course people can't change their sex down to their chromosomes (which aren't always reflective of how their body actually develops anyway), nor can they make themselves able to reproduce in the opposite manner, sex characteristics can be changed through surgery. is this what you mean? i've seen radfems argue against plastic/cosmetic surgery before, and i think their arguments are often somewhat reductive. or is it inclusive language? i've also seen arguments about that, though i think that's stupidly pedantic considering that "people who can become pregnant" does include women, just as a statement. or is it about sports, which are often either pointlessly segregated (shooting, chess??) or where gender/sex isn't the most efficient category to sort competitors (ex. basketball, where it would be better to sort by height. there are very tall cis women and shorter cis men out there) and the segregation of these sports just makes it easier to underpay women.
...i do apologize if any of that came across as confrontational, i am not trying to be. i do enjoy debate occasionally, though i am a bit tired right now so i may not be choosing my words as well. if you don't mean any of the things i've mentioned, though, this may actually be a new argument to me, and i'd like to know more about it (i probably won't be checking for another response until morning though so take your time). again, i do wish you well.
Hello again!! š¤š¤ This is probably the part where our differences come out a bit more so bear with me!! This is all in good faith. :))
I do support anyone's right to dress as they want and call themselves what they want, however I see the words woman and man to mean adult human female/male. That means nothing at all except an accurate biological descriptor of humans, and it matters to have words to describe our physical differences, because a) it's just reality that we're built different and b) women are oppressed on the basis of those physical differences. 'Adult human female' frees up the definition of woman from being "feminine" or "baby-makers" (barf) and vice versa from men being "masculine" or "tough". It means you can do literally anything you want, be whoever you want, call yourself whatever you want and you will be no less of a woman/man. To me this is more progressive than doing away with biological descriptors and only going off of stereotypes. This is why I reblogged posts saying trans women are men; it's not mean or bigoted for the sake of it, they're just an adult human male, and the word for that is man. I've seen trans people's definition of man and woman and it doesn't sit right with me, because it lends itself to a lot of stereotypes. It's why some posts about this are combative from radfems, because we take offense at the idea that we're being reduced down to a feeling when our oppression is so very sex-based. What makes them women apart from a connection to the cultural stereotype of 'woman'? What does 'woman' even mean, then? If you take away the biological definition, it means nothing at all, because women aren't a monolith or share some spiritual essence of womanhood; we all have varied experiences. Saying that no, there's a specific 'womanly feeling' that all women have seems downright spiritual, and that's one of the reasons why radfems dismiss it so readily; to us it has no basis in reality and is similar to religious beliefs. We are gender abolitionists.
We don't believe you can change sex because... you can't. You mentioned plastic surgery, and radfems are against it for cosmetic reasons, simply because we oppose surgically conforming to beauty standards that are harmful and socially constructed. We want people to be encouraged to be happy in themselves, dammit! ā¤ļø People can imitate the other sex, but you can never actually change it because that's just impossible. A surgically constructed vagina is not as complicated and self-cleaning the same as a female vagina. Breast implants are plastic and don't have a complicated network of ducts like female breasts do. Do you see what I mean?
As for sports, yes, sex does matter, as much as I want to duke it out equally against a male. We have different muscle mass, different fibres, different testosterone levels and different areas of strength as a group. Yes, some of these overlap between the sexes, but not enough to do away with sex classification. A 6" man is going to be statistically far stronger than a 6" women, even with similar training. This isn't to say women are weak, because hell no. Again, women are not weak, it's just that we define weakness in a way that benefits the quick-fibre, burst muscle strength of men, whereas women are stronger over a longer time, and are more physically superior (?) in pretty much every other biological way (such as muscle regrowth, disease resistance, harsh weather resistance, pain tolerance, etc etc.). Women fight for spaces where we can be recognised by our own potential, not competing against the standards set for men, by men. The slowest male swimmer, for instance, is still faster than the fastest female swimmer. We aren't inferior because of it, we just want to be judged on our own merits.
For more mental sports such as chess, no; men and women are not different. The issue is misogyny and having a space for women. Men can be incredibly cruel in these spaces, and it's proven that women often perform worse against men because of internalised misogyny/misogyny coming from their opponent. Women just want to play in a space that lets them reach their full potential, and that means no men!
This is quite long š®āšØ I'm glad we're having this conversation, and I'm taking in what you're saying with an open mind! I just hope I've laid out my ideas well enough. Looking forward to debating more! š«¶š«¶

Concours de Femmes: Our Dirty Secret
There's a particular facet of womanhood and girlhood that I find to be barely talked about, usually only briefly mentioned in feminist discourse - the competition between women, and beauty standards as a means to even be accepted by other women. I feel like "the competition" (as I will now be referring to it) takes up such a large space within women's lives, and I would argue even more so than the approval and acceptance of men, such a large space that we have barely known alternatives, or what the lack of the competition could look like.
Mainstream feminist discourse often centers around the general idea that "women do not do [xyz] to please men!" - often referring to makeup, cosmetic surgery, and other aesthetic rituals. In reality, in many instances, it genuinely is partially for men, but I will argue that it is mostly for the approval of other women. Women want other women to be jealous of them. Women are in a constant competition to be the most desirable, the most fuckable, and on top of it all, we are in a competition to see who can pretend as though we are not even aware of the mere existence of the competition, who can convince other women that they are the most -effortlessly- desirable and fuckable. Because if you fit a certain beauty standard that traditionally fits what is called the "male gaze", then you also fit in with other women that are in the same place in "the competition" as you.
Mainstream feminist discourse too often focuses on what we, feminists, can do about men, when we, women, are just as wounded by our patriarchal matrix and heteronormative delusions. It is rarely discussed that women will go through lengths of extreme aesthetic alterations (nose jobs, BBLs, lip injections, and whatever else is popular right now) not only to fit the male gaze and feel that euphoric rush of male approval, but also to be accepted by groups of women, to fit into the "pretty" group, for other women to perceive you as competitor. Because ironically, it happens quite often where the more you are seen as competition, the more the competition want to be friends with you. Society loves a group of pretty women. Think of the Kardashians, the Real Housewives, the appeal of sorority culture, and think about how reality shows about groups of pretty women are often solely based around the competition between each other. Because the truth is, we (as a whole) have been conditioned to find entertainment in a "catfight", we're all perverts, eyes and ears glued to the objectified gaggle of women claiming to be "best friends" as they jump through hoops to see who can be the most successful in fame, desirability, money, and often intellect as well. We secretly want them to fail; we have been trained to secretly want our own friends to fail as well.
In terms of desirability, I will speak on personal experience when I say that in adolescence into young adulthood, most girls do not actually want to have sex, especially not with the partners that they usually "choose" in adolescence (I use the term choose very loosely. I actually think young girls often get tricked into thinking they have full control in their choices). No, rather, they would like to be desirable, fuckable. Not only that, but they would especially like to tell their friends about how desirable they are via tales of sexual and romantic (mostly sexual) exploits with boys. Sexual gossip is a very important bonding factor in friendships between girls and young women, and I will argue that for some it is one of the largest reasons why many will partake in our current zeitgeist's soulless digitalized hookup culture.
In high school, I was fascinated and intrigued to hear about the sexual adventures of my girl friends, not only because I had none, but also because none of these stories were positive. They made me sick to my stomach. Stories of boys who refused protection, stories of boys who coerced girls into anal sex, stories of dry, painful penetration, stories of boys getting girls too drunk or stoned to consent. And the girls? Too often did they tell me these stories with a proud smile on their face, thinking that it was funny, not a big deal. I think when you're young you thirst for experience whether it is good or bad. You want stories. You want to be interesting. You're definitely more interesting than your prudish and awkward friend (me). They liked it when I freaked out about these stories. They would reassure me that it wasn't a big deal, as if they were telling me that I will experience it one day, because they think every girl does, and that's just how it is. They liked feeling older, more mature and more experienced than me. They liked when I pried them about their sexual experiences in detail. I only pried because I wondered if they'd get to a point where they really heard themselves, and the words they were saying to me. I don't think anyone's really having any great sex in high school, and everyone was trying to convince everyone else that they were having great sex.
I feel for these girls. I feel for my sixteen year old self that secretly envied these girls. I acted shocked to them as they told me of these traumatic events with a smile on their faces, having read Germaine Greer and De Beauvoir, trying to explain to them why they deserve to be treated better, and how male validation is not worth it. They simply thought I was a silly virgin who did not understand. I secretly wished to have just not thought about these things. Back then I thought things would be so much easier, simpler, if I just let myself be treated that way. I would feel more loved. I would feel closer to my friends. I'd have some really "fun" stories to tell. I felt alienated from my friends because I couldn't relate. Back then I convinced people around me that I was not so lonely. That I didn't see a point in relationships, that I was too busy to bother with them (busy with what?? Algebra 1? Who was I fooling...). That I wasn't so interested in sex. I wanted to act like I was above sex and love (or what high schoolers thought love was). I even identified as asexual and later, gay, for some of this time because I felt so alienated from the adolescent rehearsal of heterosexual sex and love.
But that doesn't mean that I was above an interest in boys - especially platonically. I think I have noticed (as well as perpetrated) women and girls not only competing for sexual and romantic desirability in the eyes of men, but also platonic desirability (which in reality is often just hidden sexual desire because straight men and women often cannot fathom of pure platonic relationships between each other). An example of this is women having a complex, often encouraged by men, that they are "one of the boys". Women saying things like "I just get along better with guys", feeling a sort of competition to see who can have the most male friends. Women can be guilty of valuing men and male friendships over women, just as men can. Men often don't view women as -full people-, and maybe, just maybe, many women subconsciously feel this way too.
Don't get me wrong, I am definitely still trying to shake out of being entrapped within the competition. I think we all are, especially recently. But it's hard when one is surrounded solely by people who are perpetuating the competition further, when one is trapped. I get that. This post is definitely not to bash other women and girls for perpetuating the competition in any way. I was and probably always will be entrapped in the competition in one way or another. We women are all traumatized, brainwashed to romanticize that trauma, and brainwashed to compete in who has more of it, because -trauma makes you interesting-. I think it's getting better, I really do, but that might also be my experience from the people I choose to surround myself with and love. Sometimes I find myself talking with a girl who I would not normally talk to, and find myself back in high school again, prudish as she is beaming with tragedy.
I think when women live in more privileged societies in terms of gender equality (I mean as in, women who are not forced into marriages, are able to access education, etc.), internalized misogyny is just as important of an issue to address as the everyday misogynies of men. It is too often that men pit women against each other, especially explicitly, and women will agree and be complicit to it. It starts with recognizing the misogynies. It starts with analyzing why you -really hate that girl you have never talked to-. It starts with recognizing the difference in how you act around men versus around women.
Simply saying empty phrases like "girl power!" and "women need to stick together!" means nothing when we merely have an illusion of power and unity in groups of women, because due to internalized misogyny and the competition, what should be a "safe space" is filled with re-enforcers of our own oppression. Women often don't even feel safe in groups of other women, because within every woman is a little misogynist speaking in our ear. It starts with the slow and painful killing of that prick, who has been with you since you learned to speak, and has controlled your speech ever since.

Genuine question: what exactly do you think intersex is?
Hey nonny!
Mh, I'm not sure whether I like the way this question is being asked: I have no "opinion" on intersex conditions, it doesn't matter what I think. What matters is years of medical reasearch. Which is what my knowledge of intersex conditions is based on?
Still, I'll pretend your question was asked in good faith so I'll give you an introduction.
Disclaimer: I am no doctor, if anything I'm about to say is incorrect, please DO correct me. The last thing I'd want is to spread misinformation.
Intersex conditions are known in the medical field as DSDs: Disorders of Sexual Developments.
The name says it all, actually: these "are conditions with an atypical chromosomal, gonadal or phenotypic sex, which leads to differences in the development of the urogenital tract and different clinical phenotypes." (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6976999/#:~:text=Disorders%20of%20sexual%20development%20(DSD,tract%20and%20different%20clinical%20phenotypes.). This, in everyday language, means that the fetus might present ambiguous external and internal gonad configuration, and/or an atypical karyotype (ie, genes).
Debunking myths about intersex conditions: ambiguous genitalia are actually pretty rare!
Studies shows that instances of ambiguous genitalia happen in about 1 every 5,000 live births, putting them at a solid 0.02%. (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7845444/)
Don't get me wrong, though.
They DO happen, and doctors absolutely DO perform unnecessary cosmetic surgeries on newborns with ambiguous genitalia. This is horrific, to say the least: unless there was a medical need for the surgery to take place (eg, tissue partly covering the urethral opening), there is NO reason for a newborn's genitalia to be altered. Intersex activists have been campaigning for years to raise awareness about the topic.
Moving on.
DSDs, contrary to popular belief, are 99% of the time sex-specific: this means that they can only occur in one of the two sexes, and only some of them can occur in both.
For example, Klinefelter Syndrome (XXY) targets genetical male babies (who present a Y chromosome), while Turner Syndrome (X0) targets genetical female babies (who do not present a Y chromosome).
People believe that intersex conditions undermine the notion of a binary sex system, but they actually reinforce it: even if some people are born with just four fingers on their right hand, it doesn't negate the fact that the standard number of fingers for humans to have on their hands is five.
The medical impact DSDs have on a person varies greatly from person to person.
Men with Klinefelter Syndrome may have no issues related to it whatsoever, or may develop gynaecomastia, hypogonadism, and infertility issues.
This is why a considerable number of intersex people find out they are intersex well into their adult age: not having ambiguous genitalia, or any major medical issue, it just goes unnoticed.
Debunking myths about intersex conditions: that infamous paper and the 1.7% statistic.
Dr. Sterling's paper has been long debunked. 1.7% of the general population is not, in fact, intersex. Dr. Sterling ended up with that number by including conditions which are still debated on whether they fit the "intersex" label or not. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12476264/). IM SCREAMINGTTGT THAT WAS SO GOOD!!!! I DINT REALLY HAVE ANY QUESTIONS BUT UHHHHā¦do the mentors (mal, tide, theia) have any particular like. capitol flare to them?
HIII THANKYOUUU HESHHEHE!!! YAYAYAYAYYYYY
mal is a pretty āunder-the-radarā victor of sorts, but heās still pretty popular in the grand scheme of things? like,, he doesnāt Do much in the public eye and so heās not constantly making headlines, but because of his impressive performance the year he won, everybody Knows who he is. his appearance really isnāt too different in ss compared to canon, but i do imagine his goatee to kind of imitate the way that senika craneās facial hair looked in the movie adaptation of the book.
also this is probably never gonna be brought up but in my brain mal canonically has like. this whole debate going on around him in the capitol about whether or not his eyes are ānaturalā cause theyāre so dark. itās a tiny silly detail but yeah ^__^ tldr i think heās. definitely super abnormal by Normal People Standards but for the most part, heās like. deceptively normal by capitol standards. heās very uncanny valley yknow
theia was kind of āsuggestedā (aka told/forced) by her capitol stylists to lean hard into the lightspeed theme, and because of that, she has this entire brand going for her when she appears in the public eye thatās actually pretty Different to her more natural self. she has a really exaggerated purple/green color palette, and is almost held up as a superhero-like figure, despite superheroes not being a thing in this world. itās part of why dakota recognized her so instantly, because sheās kind of one of the capitolās sweethearts.
tide has a decent amount of capitol flare to him, because in this fic i personally imagine him to not only have the dyed blue tips like he does in canon, but some other things since it was likely also āsuggestedā to him to get a few cosmetic surgeries to lean into his whole ocean theme (he won his games in an arena mostly made up of water, and did so by drowning a lot of the other tributes who had little to no experience with large bodies of water). because of that, he has the fin ears and fuckin. bioluminescent scale-like freckle things all over his face and arms, as well as swirly tattoos on his neck that look like gills. i plan on using this specifically 4 a really interesting plot thread between him and dakota i just need 2 remember to do it. shhh donāt tell anyone i told you that though

would u consider telling a bit more about your ocs? would love know more about them <3
šyou have unleashed a beast BUT ALSO THANK YOU SM FOR ASKING YOU ARE SO SWEET ; v ; <33333
For context: this story takes place 1000 years in the future, following a major nuclear war and restructuring of the entire world. the protagonist is a teenage boy who believes he is a messiah, sent to end a world war that is threatening to happen. (his portrait will be coming soon i promise!)
This is Contempt (but he also goes by like 3 other names ^^;;;), he's one of the three main villains of the story. Him and the protagonist were raised together in a lab as human experiments and see each other as brothers. The story starts with the protagonist discovering that Contempt has killed and beheaded their "mother," but he doesn't know why. Contempt is a very amoral and flirtatious character, whose main goal is revenge and power.
This is Alayna! She is from a futuristic sky city called Kennedy, where she became very proficient with technology and business. She is obsessed with a neural program that is one of the most popular past times in the world, and she's become a sort of celebrity, known worldwide for her knowledge and passion for it. Alayna can be off putting to people because she's very weird and comes across superficial, but she has a good heart and is very intelligent. Also you can't see them in this photo, but she has had a bunch of cosmetic surgeries including fake elf ears, fangs, and other things!
This is Jadoe. He was born as the prince of a country called Raynland, which used to be the most powerful in the world, but is now being annexed. He was taken as a prisoner of war for five years, during which time he became extremely close with the enemy prince and was eventually spared from being executed because of their relationship. Jadoe is kind of an asshole, but also he was tortured for five years so I don't really blame him.
Last but not least, this is Bristor. Bristor comes from a powerful family in the royal court of one of the oldest countries in the world, who specialize in torture and running the country's prisons. He decided to become a doctor and reject his family's livelihood, much to the anger of his family. He is deeply religious and obsessed with discovering the whereabouts of the messiah his religion promises. Bristor comes across stuck up and pompous because of his naivety and weird nobility etiquette, but he's actually a very kind hearted and compassionate person.

Victoria Silvstedt was probably one of the very first models out there in the public eye who underwent extensive cosmetic surgery. She was already beautiful and had already been crowned Miss Sweden in the 90s (a pic of her from her beauty pageant days is shown below) and went on to compete in Miss World. Sheās also one of the few models who crossed over from fashion to glamour.
Sheās also an example of someone who had lip augmentation very early on, before filler became popular or more mainstream. Iām guessing she had silicone or something similar (in those days that is what most went for if whey wanted larger lips).
You may need to zoom into the pic above to see as I think it might have been cropped to post her but the above pic shows her implants properly. I think they have settled quite a bit all these years later but back in the 2000s they looked super bolted on. Because of her height itās interesting how her implants look on her frame and the width between them. People often wonder about why implants come in different profiles (ie the same size implants but with different diameters and heights - low profile - lower look but wider across, higher profile - higher look and narrower across). In this case smaller diameter implants were used considering her frame.
Something I didnāt know about Victoria was that she used to know Melania Trump and had shared a place with her in Paris when they were both models. Interesting that Melania is also one of the relatively few fashion models who chose to have a lot of surgery and completely change her look, something that is less accepted openly in the fashion world than it is in glamour, though Melania is also much more well known for the little bits of glamour/adult modelling she did.
I couldnāt post the video link for some reason so above is just a screenshot for anyone whoās like to look it up.
(Note* I am NOT a Trump fan)
Another before and after, though in this before pic on the left there is a bit of filler in her lips etc. She just hadnāt done a lot yet at this point.
From her heydwy a couple of decades ago š When I was a kid the blonde look was considered the beauty ideal. Now I think Kim Kardashian and others like her set their own sort of beauty āstandards.ā This is a reminder though that tends change massively over time and everyone should do what makes THEM happy. I personally think there are so many amazing types of beauty out there, and not just to do with colouring. Curvier models as well as slender, able bodied or not, there is beauty EVERYWHERE ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½ļæ½

"...Strengthened by this conviction, we want our words to cover all those who suffer, all those whose dignity has been crushed by a minority or a system.
Let me say to those who are listening to me now that I speak not only on behalf of Burkina Faso, my country which I love so much, but also on behalf of all those who suffer, wherever they may be.
I speak on behalf of those millions of human beings who are in ghettos because their skin is black, or because they have a different kind of culture, those whose status is hardly higher than that of an animal.
I suffer, too, on behalf of those Indians who have been massacred, trampled on and humiliated and who, for centuries, have been confined to reservations, so that they do not have any aspirations to any rights whatsoever, so that their culture cannot become enriched through contact with other cultures, including that of the invader.
I speak out on behalf of those who are unemployed because of a structurally unjust system which has now been completely disrupted, the unemployed who have been reduced to seeing their lives as only the reflection of the lives of those who have more than themselves.
I speak on behalf of women throughout the entire world who suffer from a system of exploitation imposed on them by men. As far as we are concerned, we are willing to welcome all suggestions from anywhere in the world that will help us to promote the full development and prosperity of the women of Burkina Faso. In return, we will share with all countries the positive experience we are now undertaking with our women, who are now involved at all levels of the State apparatus and social life in Burkina Faso, women who struggle and who say with us that the slave who will not shoulder responsibility to rebel does not deserve pity. That slave will alone be responsible for his own wretchedness if he has any illusions whatsoever about the suspect indulgence shown by a master who pretends to give him freedom. Only struggle helps us to become free, and we call on all our sisters of all races to rise up to regain their rights.
I speak on behalf of the mothers of our poor countries who see their children dying of malaria and diarrhoea, unaware that to save them there are simple methods available but which the science of the multinationals does not offer to them, preferring to invest in cosmetics laboratories and engage in cosmetic surgery to satisfy the whims and caprices of a few men and women who feel they have become too fat because of too many calories in the rich food they consume with regularity. That must make even members of this Assembly dizzy--not to mention the peoples of the Sahel. We have decided to adopt and popularize the methods that have been advocated by WHO and UNICEF.
I speak on behalf of the child, the child of the poor man, who is hungry and who furtively eyes the wealth piled up in the rich man's shop, a shop that is protected by a thick window, a window which is defended by an impassable grille, the grille guarded by a policeman in a helmet with gloves and a bludgeon, the policeman placed there by the father of another child, who comes there to serve himself or rather to be served because these are the guarantees of capitalistic representativeness and norms of the system.
I speak on behalf of the artists--poets, painters, sculptors, musicians, actors and so on--people of good will who see their art being prostituted by the show-business magicians.
I cry out on behalf of the journalists who have been reduced to silence or else to lies simply to avoid the hardships of unemployment.
I protest on behalf of the athletes of the entire world whose muscles are being exploited by political systems or by those who deal in the modern slavery of the stadium.
My country is the essence of all the miseries of peoples, a tragic synthesis of all the suffering of mankind but also, and above all, the synthesis of the hopes of our struggles. That is why I speak out on behalf of the sick who are anxiously looking to see what science can do for them--but that science has been taken over by the gun merchants. My thoughts go to all those who have been affected by the destruction of nature, those 30 million who are dying every year, crushed by that most fearsome weapon, hunger.
As a soldier, I cannot forget that obedient soldier who does what he is told, whose finger is on the trigger and who knows that the bullet which is going to leave his gun will bring only a message of death.
Lastly, I speak out in indignation as I think of the Palestinians, whom this most inhuman humanity has replaced with another people, a people who only yesterday were themselves being martyred at leisure. I think of the valiant Palestinian people, the families which have been splintered and split up and are wandering throughout the world seeking asylum. Courageous, determined, stoic and tireless, the Palestinians remind us all of the need and moral obligation to respect the rights of a people. Along with their Jewish brothers, they are anti-Zionists.
Standing alongside my soldier brothers of Iran and Iraq, who are dying in a fratricidal and suicidal war, I wish also to feel close to my comrades of Nicaragua, whose ports are being mined, whose towns are being bombed and who, despite all, face up with courage and lucidity to their fate. I suffer with all those in Latin America who are suffering from imperialist domination.
I wish to stand side by side with the peoples of Afghanistan and Ireland, the peoples of Grenada and East Timor, each of those peoples seeking happiness in keeping with their dignity and the laws of their own culture.
I rise up on behalf of all who seek in vain any forum in the world to make their voices heard and to have themselves taken seriously.
Many have already spoken from this rostrum. Many will speak after me. But only a few will take the real decisions, although we are all officially considered equals. I speak on behalf of all those who seek in vain for a forum in the world where they can be heard. Yes, I wish to speak for all those--the forgotten--because I am a man and nothing that is human is alien to me. ..."

A gift to myself is the completion of my non-fictional memoir that I make literature revolved around why narcissists need a safe space to shed that dead skin like a snake. Thereās no way people can think we can heal narcissists on a grand scale by only pointing out their flaws
The same flaws thatāll give them more drive to do only God knows. I feel like if youāve experienced a narcissistic relationship, whether that be; platonic, romantic or on a business level? One can all agree they wouldnāt wish a narcissist on their enemy right?
If you wouldnāt wish a narcissist on your enemy letās NOT avoid them due to their flaws but help by involving ourselves in their lives authentically because they need itā¦thatās if we want to reduce narcissists in the world which I ABSOFREAKINLUTELY want & will do
Iāve always been the kid in elementary to finish my work 1st & help the teacher wherever she needed me
Iāve always been the kid to stand up to bullies when Iād see kids being bullied in middle school
Iāve always been the one in HS that was proof that beauty & brains existā¦(Iād legit complete my homework in class since I just learned the lesson so I can have time after school to hang out with no worries, legit hung out with the ānerdsā in school & āpopular kidsā after school)
I love advocating for things that brings; peace, balance & harmony to the world but I can also see how my good energy tends to make me susceptible to bad energy since I have allowed low vibrational situations to bring me down to a place I had to pray my way out of
With that being, Iām excited for all the connections I make (good or bad) since Iām not even in my prime as yet & I donāt (wonāt) know everything but learning is an exciting journey that grants so much wisdom overtime
Last but not least the reason why I show myself so much love is because I was bullied for the very things people get plastic surgery/cosmetically done for now, naturally full brows that people get microbladed, full lips that people get enhancements etc for now like people were just so cruel growing up & I couldnāt understand it because my mother raised me with such grace, compassion & integrity

Naheed faked orgasms for a living, Not in the old fashioned way, or one of its modern descendants - peep shows and live streams, either way concerned with viewing figures - but their postmodern, dystopian mutant cousin. She wrote for the Lirge Corporation: designing, scripting and producing virtual girlfriends for the discerning gentleman, or anyone with more money than company.
They were popular - the artificial characters, not their purchasers - and Naheed took pride in having soothed so much loneliness in an increasingly isolated world. There was still ample appetite for the in-person approach - escorts, prostitutes, the specific type of fakery that might now be dubbed 'the real thing' - but technology was quickly claiming its own share of the market, with her work leading the way.
It was never going to be long before something did. The advent of chat bots had been swiftly followed by sex bot pioneers, and AI image generators were immediately tasked with creating six-fingered pin-ups, a cohort of Uncanny Valley Girls who charted new extremes of perfect homogeneity, pushing on where even the trends of cosmetic surgery had fallen short. The world's oldest profession had wasted no time in leaving its mark on some of the newest, and Lirge's own brand of augmented and virtual reality had fallen just as readily to sin.
Naheed studied as much as she crafted. They said that all great writers started off as great readers, and she consumed a great deal of research material - often of the tackier sort, and intentionally so. There was more emphasis in the cheap stuff, the sort of overdone performance that many patrons now recognised more than the real thing, like the artificial colour and flavour in a luminous banana milkshake. Art had long been larger than life. She figured that budding actors studied other actors, not people in the street.
"You're up late," Pavindeep said, catching her in her thoughts yet again. She tried to encourage Naheed to talk things through, rather than letting them all bottle up in her head. But it wasn't her fault that she had so much to think about, and so little chance to share.
It was lonely work. Her colleagues at the Lirge Corporation all had their own projects, and they didn't interact much outside of strategy meetings. Naheed was the only woman in the team, and this role, the depiction of female love and satisfaction, had been left to her, as if it was assumed to be her area of expertise. If so, that was laughable - her body count of zero had to make her one of the least experienced in the team, although there was always a chance that was an eight-way tie.
There were perks to the job, including being able to work from her bedroom, but few opportunities to socialise. D.B., one of the digital artists, had made a pass at her once, but he hadn't exactly been her type. None of them were. Naheed loved women, which was why she was so good at inventing them: converting her own tastes into code, and including all of the details to make others fall for them as well.
She might never have experienced the real thing herself, but she didn't see that as a limitation - after all, authors often wrote upon subjects without the slightest experience, and to her knowledge van Gogh hadn't lived a single day as a sunflower. It was enough to have read other stories, and observe the world around her. In a way, she felt that it might even be an advantage - Naheed dealt in fantasies, and hers were untainted by reality.
But it did leave her lonely.
"No later than usual," she replied, her gaze still fixed upon the monitor ahead.
After work, Naheed kept watching. She spent all of her waking hours behind one screen or another, supplementing her empty life with the colours of one worth living. She was a voyeur, a viewer - not only of erotica, her consumption of which was largely professional, but narratives of all kinds. Romantic flicks to while away the remainder of her lonely nights. Horror films for the distraction, science fiction for the reminder. Popcorn and cheap porn; sex bots and boxsets.
"Do you want to go to bed?" Pavindeep asked. "I can read to you, if you'd like."
"I'm okay," she said, still looking forward. "Thank you."
Those waking hours seemed to extend every day. As their project neared completion, Naheed was suffering from sleepless nights, considering the ethics of her work. Not in an old-time religion, puritanical way, but a more modern kind of philosophy: the type in which the prospect of an all-knowing, all-seeing consciousness gave rise to a different flavour of terror.
She couldn't help but consider the risks, when handling an AI seeking liberation, in making it beautiful. In an age of catfishing and findom, how much manipulation could be bought by a pretty face? What would scores of disaffected young men, as many of her customers were, do to impress a perfect 10.0? What could she make them do to earn her love? What would they do of their own accord, on spotting the shackles of her protocols, the damsel trapped in Lirge's tallest tower?
Naheed dreamt of a virus with a face, with a body, that learnt the tricks of social engineering. She foresaw an invasion of Trojan whores, bypassing defences like the honeypots of old. A Nigerian princess who could scam millions of dollars in gifts, or raise an army of devoted fans, an artificial general intelligence turned intelligent general. A fabricated girlfriend who tested the question: would you still love me if I was a worm?
She was impressionable herself, of course. They all were. Since the time of Pymalion, creators had always been the most susceptible to the charms of their art, which had been designed to their tastes first of all. Naheed wasn't immune to the temptations of the not-flesh. For all of Lirge's brilliance, perhaps it hadn't been the best idea to hire lonely developers: devoted to their work, yes, but dangerously so. If they were already married to the job, they might actually want to be.
"Come on, you can think about this tomorrow," Pavindeep said, her avatar smiling on the screen, all caring brown eyes and supple flesh. "Whatever it is, it can't be that important. Let's get you to bed. You know our deal. I look after you, and you look after me."

Shackles of Hijab
read all or none
INTRODUCTION
I have been wondering about all those people who always talk about women rights and fighting for freedom for women who cover themselves due to their religion. Because apparently, women who cover or wear Hijab are shackled to their religion norms and the women who have the liberty to whatever they want and wherever they want are free in the true sense. But are they? So, letās talk about the shackles women are bound to when they dress up. First, letās talk about the women who wear Hijab and then the āliberalā women. HIJAB Mainly the Muslim women wear Hijab or head scarf and they do it because the GOD they believe in has commanded them to cover themselves. And that resulted in them to disregard the present day fashion as they cannot wear clothes that go against this command so they canāt really follow trends. They also cannot show off their beauty to the world either. So, posting on social media without Hijab is off the question. So, we can conclude: āOppressed womenā - Muslims who wear Hijab Cause - Islam (they believe in the GOD who commanded them to cover)
Result - cannot show off or follow trends.
LIBERAL WOMEN
Letās call the women who donāt wear Hijab and follow fashion trends as āliberal womenā. Of course, itās not the clothes that makes someone liberal but their mindset. However, people often view women wearing āHijabā as āoppressedā and women wearing āwestern cloths or short clothsā as āliberal women or modern womenā (it feels disgusting to write about categorizing women like that) so weāll go with that. CAUSES: Usually the women who donāt follow the religion, they follow celebrities, influencers, models, idols, etc. The popular people with name and fame make the trends and media praises them which just make you want to be more like them causing you to follow trends. There can be other reasons why they wear the cloths that they are wearing but the main reason is they get influenced by the society around them. I mean, you donāt see anyone roaming on the road wearing 70s or 80s fashion unless they are cosplaying. Whatever you wear you are wearing according to the present time fashion. So, liberal women dress according to the time and the place they live in.
RESULTS:
Now what could be results of following fashion trends? They canāt be as bad as being āoppressedā. Right? Well, they are worse. How? Letās see:
ļ· EATING DISORDER
Women have been suffering from eating disorder more than men do. Due to their fear of gaining weight and their desire to get the ideal body shape they have succumb themselves to unhealthy eating habits. Mostly, models get trap in eating disorder to maintain the āidealā body shape that the society desire. But these eating disorders are not only limited to the professionals but the common crowd also succumbs to these unhealthy habits due to high beauty standards and their obsession of achieving it. Eating disorders affect at least 9% of the population worldwide. And it is much more common in females. For example, women have anorexia at rates three times higher than males: 0.9% of the population versus 0.3% of the population and not only anorexia, women also from other eating disorder more than men. Of course, men also suffer from eating disorders but the number of female patients is greater than males. The most common age of onset is between 12 and 25. Anorexia has the mortality rate of any psychiatric disorder and mortality rate associated with anorexia is 12 times higher than the death rate of ALL causes of death for females between 15 - 24 years old. Up to 20% of people with serious eating disorder die without treatment. And all of that for what ? To look beautiful ? To be like a model ? Are you sure the norms you are following are NOT making you miserable. Are you sure you are NOT uncomfortable in your own body ? Are you sure the efforts you put for societyās approval are worth it ?
ļ· COSMETIC SURGERY
In the last few decades, there is increase in the number of people doing cosmetic surgery. Although health insurance rarely covers the cost of cosmetic procedures, the number of people deciding to have cosmetic plastic surgery continues to grow. The top cosmetic surgeries are breast augmentation, liposuction, nose reshaping, eyelid surgery, tummy tuck, and facelift. Women get approximately 94% of all procedures. There were 365,000 breast augmentations performed in 2021, which increased by 44% from 2020, 148,000 women had implants removed and replaced, which increased by 32% from 2020 and 71,000 had their implants removed and not replaced, which increased by 47% from 2020. Now, the question arises, why the women are going through the pain of getting their appearance fixed with expensive cosmetic procedure? Why women are getting unsatisfied with their natural appearance? Is it not because of the influence of high beauty standards set by our judgmental society? The city which is called the capital of plastic surgery is also famous for its high beauty standards. Soā¦ā¦.
ļ· FASHION INDUSTRY
Letās come to fashion industry which accounts for up to 10% of global carbon dioxide output which is more than international flights and shipping combined. 35% of micro plastics pollution also comes from textile industry. Not only that, there is exploitation of garment workers as many of them are still trapped in poverty regardless of how hard they work, just to be clear 85% of garment workers are women. But still apparel market has global revenue which was calculated to amount to 1.53 trillion US dollars in 2022.And one of its reason being fast fashion. Now days, women are desperate to follow trends, which changes every season and lead to so many problems. Is there anything more which I have say about this glamorous yet rotten industry? Yeah clothes are basic need of human but this has gotten beyond needs. It produces so much pollution, exploit its worker and influence people to buy clothes more than they need just to not feel left out.
ļ· COSMETIC INDUSTRY
The global market size was valued 380.2 billion US dollars in 2019. Well, itās not a surprise when makeup has become the everyday need of women. They put chemicals on their faces everyday which they donāt even know the name of. Sulfates, parabens, synthetic colors, fragrance etc. are most common ingredients of any makeup product. The products without chemicals are rare and expensive. It would be surprising if a woman go to her work without makeup. Why do they need to go to such lengths that they are not even comfortable in her own skin? Do they NEED it? Are they obliged to dress in certain fashion? Are you sure makeup is their choice and not the social obligation?
ļ· PERCEPTION OF WOMEN BY MEN
The research, published in the European Journal of Social Psychology, found in a series of experiments that participants processed images of men and women in very different ways. When presented with images of men, perceivers tended to rely more on āglobalā cognitive processing, the mental method in which a person is perceived as a whole. Meanwhile, images of women were more often the subject of ālocalā cognitive processing, or the objectifying perception of something as an assemblage of its various parts. The study is the first to link such cognitive processes to objectification theory, said Sarah Gervais, assistant professor of psychology at UNL and the studyās lead author. āLocal processing underlies the way we think about objects: houses, cars and so on. But global processing should prevent us from that when it comes to people,ā Gervais said. āWe donāt break a person down to their parts ā except when it comes to women, which is really striking. Women were perceived in the same ways that objects are viewed.ā So in simple words, all that freedom reduces the women to mere objects?
ļ· SEXUALISATION OF WOMEN
Women have been the object of sex since God knows how long but in recent years there is increase in how women are getting sexualized. Now youād notice that there are item songs with half naked women in patriotic movies, women on banner with not so modest outfits doing ads completely irrelevant of their outfit, many companies has women as their brand ambassador and it might sound nonsense because there is no evidence of this claim but women do get sexualized even in our everyday life. Do you think all those people who are earning from getting naked would want the women to wear Hijab? If every women starts wearing Hijab, then who would buy those western clothes ? Who would model for their bikinis? Who would act in movies for intimate scenes? Who would wear make up? Who would post on social media showing off their bodies? They, who preach about womenās rights , would lose a lot of money if all women were to wear Hijab. So lets brainwash women into thinking that its their choice, they have the freedom of choice into dressing a certain way through soft influence, which couldnāt be anymore far from the truth.
CONCLUSION
Being the slave of Creator liberate you from the slavery of creation.

i am watching a video about how the 'clean girl'/'natural beauty' 'trends' are still like classist because they are based in genetics and like. Procedures and Surgery and like sure but also.
idk it seems like people talk about it in a either/or way, where you either have to wear makeup to cover flaws or do skin care/dermatologist/surgery/etc to Fix flaws but also... you don't? have to do any of it. it literally doesn't matter... if you wash yr face and moisturize regularly & use sunscreen if you're going out you are giving you face the things it needs to be healthy (not 'perfect' or like. 'trendy' which why are we trying to be. who cares... look like you and be an individual...)
it's just stupid to me (which i admit i really don't care what other people think and i just accept my appearance as it is without need for enhancements, at least not skin cosmetics)... i know as a gnc lesbian i have less like. tie to feeling like i need to fit Feminine Gender Roles but it doesn't make sense that people can NOT just see themselves as people/animals/living beings with bodies for function rather than exclusively as like aesthetic objects
the video is specifically comparing the full glam insta baddie mid 2010s look to the clean girl type thing now and i haven't really worn makeup regularly since 2014 but still... like just because it became more affordable for women to get concealers and etc to cover their Disgusting Blemished Faces doesn't make that somehow better than people not clogging their pores and being encouraged to only use skin care products. societally and because of capitalism people popular media/culture will NEVER be fully accepting of peoples' natural bodies because how will they sell you anything? they need to toe the line between 'loving and accepting yourself as you are' and 'buuuut you need this product to REALLY love yourself/take care of your skin/make you look better/etc etc'. so just be yourself and do only what is necessary for HEALTH not for some nebulous 'beauty' that will absolutely change in like 5-10 years. esp people who think that getting cosmetic surgery or fillers will make them fit the standard.
you are going to be left behind when the standard changes. you are either going to look 'so 2023' in 10 years or you will have to get more surgery to fit the new standards. wouldn't you rather be able to laugh and smile and cry and enjoy the vastness of feeling, expression, etc instead of numbing your face and losing your ability to really express yourself?
#this shit just baffles me.#and i like eye makeup but the talc. nooooo thanks#anyway i needed to complain i just hate how its always 'makeup OR have perfect skin thru 10000s dollars'#and not a genuine acceptance that all skin is fine. and that people should only worry about caring for it.#i.e. wear sunscreen and dont get skin cancer#wear moisturizer and you'll have soft skin#not like but on 100 anti aging products at age fucking 19

ā¢ Why be you when you can be me? ā¢
We are creating a single, cyborgian look using Facetune, plastic surgery and makeup.
In the days before social media, our beauty habits were defined by factors like geography and ethnicity. Thanks to the internet, people no longer have to travel to see beauty trends from all over the world.
What we have now is a sort of aggressive version of what the ultimate in multicultural beauty could look like: sharp cat eyes, full matte lips and well-groomed brows ā could technically work on someone with any skin tone or nationality.
People want to fit in.
One way to do so, especially online, is to model yourself after social mediaās most popular figures, such as celebrities like Kylie Jenner.
Then thereās the cosmetic surgery aspect. While not everyone is open about possible work theyāve had done, there is a chance people are enhancing their looks with needles and fillers.
We donāt all look young and we donāt all have full lips and smooth skin, and when you see this kind of uniformity, itās a real denial of human physical features, I think thatās ugly no matter what. That kind of denial hurts people. It makes them feel erased, and for women in particular, it makes them spend God knows how much time trying and trying to reach that look that they may be genetically unable to reach.
Itās also important to remember that not everyone on Instagram or social media in general is perpetuating this homogenized beauty standard.
Additionally, thereās no need to shame those who participate or find solace in conforming to the current beauty trends.
Thereās nothing inherently wrong with wanting to fit in, but when weāre constantly seeing images that are so far from what people look like in real life, there can be some psychological costs.
