I schedule an online order for Thursday (payday). On Tuesday the company tries charging my account, but (obviously) there are still insufficient funds. It pitches a fit and cancels the order until I update my payment info (???). I delete the order and reset it as an immediate order on Thursday after confirming I have sufficient funds. The order is processed.

Around midnight the company emails me three times:

1) Your order is being packed up.

2) We added a backup payment method to your account. (how??!?!!???? it’s a credit card I think I’ve used once or twice instead of my debit card, and it is *locked*)

3) Whoops we charged your backup payment method. (again: how???)

Backup payment method: You authorized a payment 😊

6:00am me: This must be how Henry VI felt when everyone kept forcing him to do kingly things without his consent.
