horse whose hooves are stuck individually in different colored buckets the horse seems a bit surprised but unbothered the sign of a well mannered yet perhaps empty minded horse or perhaps this is all a goof of the horses own design

@vampyoko's fantasy au for the whimsy event!!

"Planning something nefarious?" Rin asked, striding silently up to you.

"It's nothing nefarious, sweetheart, just entertaining," You replied, looking up at the dark-haired prince living with you in an isolated keep overlooking a rural city in his kingdom. From the tower's balcony, you could see the entire town sprawling down below, bathed in the dimming light of late evening. Rin stood stoically beside you, regarding the city as if it were a chessboard.

Though he'd removed the bandage, the marks on Rin's neck were still clearly visible: a pair of little red dots peeking tantalizingly over the collar of his shirt. You watched him as he watched the city.

"Did I happen to tell you that you taste delicious?" You mused, eyes glued to the half-healed bite marks, yearning to taste his blood again. Rin stiffened at the comment, not expecting the unorthodox compliment.

"Does this mean you want to feed on me more?" He asked after a moment.

"Mhm, there's something so intimate about it, don't you think?" You grab his hand gently, and he slowly — almost discreetly — intertwines his fingers with yours.

"I guess." He looks out over the city again. In the darkness, you can see a bit of pink flushing his cheeks.

"So does this mean I can bite you more?" You ask, leaning affectionately toward him, "Just a little bit, as a treat, not enough to hurt you."

Rin exhales shakily, watching the city intently, scared to meet your eyes lest his composure come undone. Despite this, he leans into you, arm brushing against yours, his weight and warmth familiar and comforting.

Softly, he says: "If that's what you want."

i think that with this ship there'd be a lot of standing mysteriously on balconies, especially at night. tyvm for entering!! hope you enjoy <3
