Question! (If you don't mind-)
In different Au's even with Siffrin having a different roles does he still the one stuck in a timeloop? Or does that fall on anyone who in the Au has the role of the Traveler? Like Isabeau or Mirabelle? And another question I do have (you don't have to answer this one lol) does Loop role change at all? Or do they stay ' Friendly Loop! Here to help to with the time loops'?
Btw I love your art work keep it up <33
I do not mind your questions! as long as they are polite and you are very polite thank you! <3 In all my roleswap AUs, the one with the Traveler role is the one who gets stuck in a timeloop! That means everybody gets a turn to be sent through The Horrors(TM) and get some character growth! AS FOR LOOP. I'm still not sure what to do with them, but I've been spinning a theory around in my head! Loop's role does not change: they are still here to be your friendly neighborhood Loop to help with the timeloops! But it's the same Loop for all the roleswap AUs. Like, every time one Traveler breaks from their timeloop with Loop's help, Loop gets yeeted into the next roleswap AU to help the NEXT Traveler escape their timeloop trap. thank you for enjoying my lil art trips matey, I'll keep it up as long as inhumanly possible!!
#ISAT Role!Swap AU#I dunno guys#just the idea of Loop [after helping Siffrin out in their timeloop] being instantly dropped into another world#where they have to help Traveler!Odile get out of a timeloop#and one by one helping every roleswap!Traveler be free from their self-made prison#while also getting character development in turn#sounds hilarious and satisfying to me#not 100% committed to the idea yet! but it does compel me regardless!

Mel deserved so much better. She deserved a better partner, mother, writers, and fandom.
Jayce literally spat out JayVik talking points, it doesn't even sound like him. What happened to Mel always been right? What happened to her telling him she wouldn't allow his dream to be corrupted? Did it go in one ear and out the other?
And you are absolutely right, Mel was not hiding who she was and what she was doing when it came to Jayce and Hextech. Hextech turned out to be a corruptive force and Jayce blames all of this on her. Basically dumping his guilt on the one person who provided him with solace like he wasn't on his knees begging her that night he and Viktor tried to sneak into the lab.
Framing Mel, a Black woman, as this manipulating mastermind while he was well aware that Viktor set all these things in motion from the beginning is sick. Viktor created the obsession that Jayce developed with magic when he found him and his mother at their most vulnerable.
Don't even get me started on Caitlyn. I didn't care much for her in Season 1 but I don't like her at all now. She also had an influence in weaponizing Hextech.
Like another person said here, Jayce could've found a newer and healthier appreciation for Magic with Mel after everything that he went through. Mel is an empath and her magic is defensive rather than offensive. It would've been beautiful to see Jayce discover his love for magic through the woman he fell in love with.
Instead, we got this. I don't know how anyone that remotely cares for Jayce as a character can watch that scene and not see an ungrateful asshole.
Okay I have a lot of thoughts about this season, and maybe bc I never played lol that this season felt like a mess to me but I think a lot of it was due to poor writing choices,
Jayce calling Mel out for âmanipulatingâ is insane to me. When he doesnât hold the same sentiment for Cassandra or Victor (who was the one to allegedly give him that stone in the first place?). He acts like he had no control of his actions and I guess itâs easier for him to pin the blame on someone else than admit his faults.
Mel is a politician, he knew that when he met her. She did not make it a secret that she was basically sponsoring his research. But at the same time, she was one of the few people who advised him against making hextech weapons specifically, and went out of the way to make sure that that technology did not fall into the hands of bad actors.
however, it was Jayce and his poor decisions that kept making hextech weapons even though it went agonist his ethos, he even made weapons for Caitlynâs special strike team, something Mel did not tell him to do lol,
like this entire time Jayce was able to use Melâs statues and influence to get what he wants (social capital etc)
and when they get together romantically, Mel only treats him as an equal, supports his ideas (which basically letâs him do what he wants on the council bc of her influence), and is a source of emotional comfort.
so itâs really strange that he starts to view her as someone who used him, we never really see Mel confiding in Jayce besides that one time which served as a way to give the audience insight to her backstory. Sheâs always the comforting him, the one providing for him etc, she even serves as a buffer for Jayce against the manipulation from others, so to have him pin all the blame on her is so deranged to me lol
I also fill like the narrative of the story does nothing to counter his claims, they donât address the other actors in the corruption of hextech for warfare (*cough cough* Caitlyn lol)
there were interesting places they could take this, there were interesting ways to explore this dynamic, but instead it got boiled down to Jayce pinning the blame on someone else because he refuses to live with the consequences of his own creations

Dandadan Episode 8 Review - One Ball Down, One More To Go
There is something I would like to talk about now that I watched this episode. I think an interesting thing about Dandadan is the fact that the girls feel more like male shounen characters, but in a good way? Like, Momo feels like one of those rude shounen MCs and Aira is her rival, but they still feel like girls, but with male shounen character tropes. Okarun, on the other hand, feels like if Momo is a male shounen MC, heâd be the female love interest whoâs shy but wants to get stronger so that she can be of use to her crush. Aira would be the rival character who is both similar but also different from the MC but is also involved with the female love interest whether it be romantically or notâin her case, she has a crush on Okarun. Seiko would be the MCâs mentor and Turbo Granny is the mascot character. Maybe itâs just me who thinks this way?
Why I say this is because the story really likes to make Okarunâs nutsacks be a part of a fanservice jokes like how people would always talk about a female characterâs boobs. In fact, no one ever mentions boobs in this storyâwell, the only time they were mentioned was back in Episode 1 where Turbo Granny was asking if Okarun wanted to suckle hers. Other than that it has always been balls, whether they be golden or baseballs. The whole plot is about finding Okarunâs balls and even in this episode, the creepy aliens are after them. Like what Okarun said, WHY IS EVERYTHING AFTER HIS JUNK?
To be honest, even though Aira is revealed to be a kind person underneath her narcissism, delusion cannot be doused with character development. Even after everything that transpired in the previous episode, Aira still thinks Momo is a demon and that Okarun and Seiko are her cronies. Despite that, she develops a crush on Okarun and promises to save him from Momoâs spell. I honestly think sheâs one of the funniest characters in this story because of how deluded she is. Itâs so hilarious because the story really knows how to make her so funny. The way she was arguing with Momo with her mouth stuffed with noodles got me cackling.Â
I also liked the part where Aira confesses to Okarun and tells him that itâs a manâs responsibility to accept the confession. Okarun is confused as heck and asked where she learned all that. It turns out that Aira learned about romance through her fatherâs porn stash. That got me cackling because Iâm sure there are instances where girls learn about adult stuff. Heck, even I was reading very raunchy stories and looking at obscene pictures when I was a teenager, so I get her curiosity for the adult world. Though, I didnât become deluded like Aira⊠The misunderstanding with Momo that occurred afterwards did hurt to watch, but I know itâll get resolved later on because Momo does jump into conclusions first before thinking things through.
Another part of the comedy that I like was the sudden transition to baseball as Turbo Granny throws the golden ball back into Okarun. The best part about this sequence is Seiko swinging her bat as if she was the batter. I got a good laugh out of that sequence. I know Japan loves baseball, but I did NOT expect that it would be a way for him to get his ballsack back into his body.
While the episode was mainly comedy, I did like how it instantly transitioned into the serious, paranormal stuff instantaneously. Like, the kids are still in school and suddenly, an alien trapped them in their domain. Theyâre separated too. Momo is by herself in a place filled with water as some sort of dinosaur-like creature appears to shoot laser beams. Given that Flatwoods Monster was shown in episode 2 and that urban legends do exist in this story, does that mean this aquatic plesiosaur creature is the Loch Ness Monster?
With Okarun and Aira, they encounter the Serpoians. I was worried that they might go after Aira, but their target is actually Okarun as they want his junk because they believe itâs magical. Iâm actually surprised that alien harassment goes for both genders in this story because usually, the author would make it so they attack only females. Thatâs pretty rare. Also, whatâs with the crab alien with the boxing gloves? What sort of song is it singing?
The anime continues with high quality casting as Tomokazu Seki joins the cast as the crab alien with the boxing gloves. If youâre not familiar with him, Seki voices Kougami from Psycho-pass and Sanemi Shinazugawa from Demon Slayer. Kazuya Nakai returns as all three Serpoians. Though, Sekiâs character has little screen-time other than him singing. I do hope it gets more screen time in the next episode. Also, Ayane Sakuraâs deep voice in her youkai form was excellent. Wow.
Oh, and Iâve watched this episode in both Japanese and English dub and both versions are really great. I have to make a shout out to AJ Beckles who voices Okarun. I really liked the exasperation his voice had when he learned about Aira studying about romance through magazines and other stuff in her fatherâs study. I know that thereâs a sub vs dub debate in the western anime community, but I think itâs all stupid. I think dubbed anime is getting better in recent years when thereâs good direction and voice actors. Dandadan is filled with both.
I honestly canât wait to see what the next episode has to offer as it seems that the group is dealing with the supposed Loch Ness Monster, the crab alien and the Serpoians all at once. I canât wait to see how it all plays out and if itâll be paced well. What are your thoughts on this episode?

Thinking back to episode 1, where Agatha/Agnes clearly remembers losing Nicky (e.g. the bedroom scene), but doesn't remember why she hates Rio - even though those two things are so intertwined. Why do you think that is?
Hi Anon, thank you for the ask, and for the interesting observation + question!
I can think of 2 possible (Watsonian) reasons why Agent Rio Vidal isn't connected to Detective Agnes' lost son within the spell â and both can be true at the same time:
Rio popping up was unexpected and the spell â already distorted and stretched as it was â simply didn't have time or the juice to adapt this new character into its current storyline and setting.
It's possible that if things dragged on the spell could have made Agent Vidal somehow responsible for spell!Nicky's demise: What a delicious plot development that'd be for our small-town murder mystery prestige crime genre show!
Agatha does't want to remember why she hates Rio, as evidenced by Rio's follow-up comment: "You're only lying to yourself."
We know that the spell is being influenced by Agatha and what she believes about herself ("Is this really how you see yourself?").
E.g. Detective Agnes reflects how Agatha sees herself as a skilled investigator but also her belief and interest in the darker sides of human nature. Agnes' sad social life also reflects Agatha's own loneliness ("a lady cop cannot be good at her job and have a healthy personal life at the same time").
But I think the spell is also influenced by what Agatha wants to believe. Agnes here, as abrasive as she is, is still part of the community. People turn to her as a trusted expert. She's not shunned or hated the same way Agatha is.
And while Agatha has accepted that Nicky's dead and gone, she's struggling with the need to assign blame or reason for it. She ends up blaming Rio and herself.
And I think on the subconscious level that the spell pulls from, Agatha simply doesn't want to blame Rio.
She still has love and all these feelings for Rio but instead of dealing with what happened with Nicky â with how sometimes death and loss just happens beyond one's control no matter how much we love or how deserved it is â she prefers to run, to lie to herself (she's such a good liar).
It's this same reason why in episode 4, despite all evidence and reason pointing out that Billy isn't Nicky, Agatha embraces Rio and tries to kiss her. Don't get me wrong, Rio's truthful campfire confession definitely played a part too, but I think Agatha's an awfully good liar.

Am I the only one who is disappointed with Caitvi in season two? When I watched the first season I had the biggest caitvi brain rot because they actually gave me SUCH a fun dynamic with them. Buddy cop Caitvi was hilarious, I loved that so so much!
And season 2 started of strong imo but then it rushed through everything. I loved the scene in the cell, obviously, but it was misplaced. Your sister is about to kill herself girl what are you doing this is not the time!! And other than romantic and sexual tension there wasn't all that much left of their previous dynamic aside from the brief scene in episode six...
Idk, I think I'm just annoyed. Usually when I see a non canon gay ship get more traction than the Canon lesbian couple, I just assume it's misogyny or lesbophobia, and move on with my life. But I can't even do that here because Caitvi was WAY more popular in season 1 (as they should).
Jayvik isn't getting somewhat more popular in season 2 because people don't like lesbians, but because their arcs are connected so strongly to each other. (Also I'm not saying that Jayvik is now more popular than Caitvi, but it's like a graph where the super high stocks caitvi are still even while Jayvik is skyrocketing rn)
Wanna know why Jayvik wasn't all that popular in season 1? Because (after act 1) their arcs were mostly separate, safe for a couple of moments. Viktor worked on his body and Jayce was doing politics.
Caitlyn and Vis arcs intertwined more, they actually did shit together and it was beautiful, funny, romantic, EVERYTHING!
Also a fun opposites attract buddy cop dynamic is also just more fun than men who do science together (in my personal opinion)
Now let's look at Caitlyn and Vis relationship in season two.
It starts of strong. I momentarily thought that Caitlyn was uncharacteristically mean to Vi when she refused to become an enforcer, but she apologized for it later and I recognized the fact that Caitlyn was grieving. Then once we get to episode two and three I could already feel their relationship being a bit more odd. The kiss (though I cheered) didn't feel right. I felt like something was missing, and that was their chemistry from season one. Also I feel like we glossed over too many decisions that Caitlyn made, and I think Vi should've put a stop to it sooner. But overall I was okay with them in act 1.
Then we had a timeskip and the two were fully separated. Act 2 literally started with Caitlyn in bed with another woman, like we can see they're not together anymore. Caitlyn has obviously changed, there is not much of the sweet cupcake left that we had come to love in season 1, and Vi is boxing and getting drunk.
Then they meet and like... Vi calls Cait cupcake, and Cait switches sides IMMEDIATELY? GIRL WTF?!
I get that Caitlyn wasn't entirely on Ambessas side the entire time, but I had hoped for more drama first. So you're telling me the very next interaction the two have after their heart wrenching falling out is them making up again? Come on.
Then we had act 3 and overall it was better I think but the timing of their hot scene in the cell was just odd, like what about your sister about to kill herself? I was very happy and hyped in the moment but then I realized how rushed this was. Why? Why make em fuck right here? And in the final act, the two weren't together because again, their arcs were not as connected. And that's actually pretty cool to have a couple who do their own things! But it doesn't help their relationship when they, in turn, aren't given enough time to develop as a pair!
I feel like season 1 did this incredible job of setting these characters up, showing us why they work so well together and why they would fall for one another. And season 2 gave us pay off for it but with very little set up, which was needed because of how Cait changed throughout the season. I don't mention Vi here because she did not change. She had her drunk boxing phase, which we got nothing but a montage off, but everything else is basically season 1 Vi aside from very few things here and there. Like her becoming an enforcer wasn't a character change for Vi, her finally letting go of powder and calling her sister Jinx, wasn't a big character moment for Vi, they were pay off for a set up we didn't get enough of.
SO TO GET TO MY POINT:
S2 was rushed. We should've AT LEAST gotten 3 seasons, like minimum, because there was a whole lot of plot and very little moments in between for characterization. Especially for Caitlyn and Vi and their relationship to each other.
I still generally prefer Caitvi to Jayvik, but only because of season 1. Season 2 gave me the two things I wanted most (a sexy scene and a kiss) but forgot to give me the things that made me fall in love with this ship in the first place.
Which was the hilarious buddy cop dynamic of rich girl cop Cait, and broke butch prisoner Vi.
#arcane#arcane s2#caitvi#jayvik#caitlyn kiramman#arcane vi#It's not that I dislike Caitvi now. I just think they could've given us more#Season 2 was very entertaining and artistically beautiful#But it wasn't the masterpiece that season 1 was#arcane critical#arcane criticism

Some of us take it very seriously. There are a few things you have to accept if you want to enjoy Miraculous Ladybug, is all.
First is just that it's built like this:
You have to accept that watching it means dealing with the extremely over-the-top aspects, the stupid and the absurd, whether funny or frustrating in a given case. You have to accept that the world as a whole is heavily exaggerated, that Marinette memorizing Adrien's schedule for three years is this world's equivalent of an awkward teenager learning her crush's class schedule and going out of her way to bump into each other a few more times a day in the hall, etc.
You have to be willing to accept that everyone is frustratingly stupid. There are like four characters who own 98% of the world's braincells, and Marinette is only allowed to use most of hers when she's fueled with overwhelming anxiety on the behalf of others rather than her love life. Everyone else is surviving by passing around the last 2%. In that regard, yeah, maybe you've gotta not take some parts too seriously, be willing to groan or laugh or both at the absurdity.
But if you can deal with that or are the sort of person to find it fun more often than frustrating, then what Miraculous does well, it does really fucking well.
It's not always right away, and I feel like a lot of dissent in this fandom comes down to impatience or lack of faith in the ability to achieve a satisfying payoff when things aren't going like people wanted Right Now. (Ex: Chloe was set up for failure from the start, Marinette made numerous bad choices discouraging her progress and encouraging her to backslide, s3's finale explicitly said she lost hope, the most comically "evil" parts in season 4 follow a distinct pattern, and now she's finally had lasting consequences and been removed from the easy comfort enabling her behavior, but rather than think breaking down the world around her could be room to finally rebuild something new, all I see anyone take from it is a "bad ending", as if they don't think she's coming back, as if she's not living in the city where Felix, now a part of the team, also lives, and as if Audrey's words didn't hauntingly echo Tomoe's to Kagami. Like.... There's potential here guys. Yes this was a whole tangent mini-essay, I digress.)
But the themes? The symbolism? The subtle background worldbuilding from the very beginning? The rewatch value when you realize how long Adrien has had A Weird Relationship With Feathers, or you see the statue outside his house and how it differs from its real life counterpart, or you look into the painting Emilie's portrait is based on, or you've watched long enough to develop a Pavlovian chill down your spine when anyone says the word "Perfect" anywhere near Adrien or Kagami? The direct acknowledgement that Marinette's romantic fantasies are straight up turning her anxiety into a form of escapism so that she never actually has to DO the things she's Too Worried About and thus can escape the risk of rejection, and the fact that she's aware of what she's doing?
The way they've built Lila/WHATEVER-her-name-is up slowly but surely over time, starting with the chronologically last episode of season 1, and the first of the series to REALLY say, "Hey, this won't always get resolved in 22 minutes, actually"? The way her whole thing is LYING, and that's treated as horrible, and at the same time, a literal requirement for all heroes? The degree to which Marinette lies all the time? The bad excuses world champion? To the point that Luka, whose entire character was so deeply tied to truth and openness, experiences one of his biggest moments of character growth via embracing a bold-faced lie? The way season 5 set The Big Liar up as the new main antagonist while simultaneously setting up the biggest and most soul-crushing lie Marinette has ever told?
And yeah, to OP's point, the way characters parallels interact. Gabriel and Marinette, the humble tailors who fell for the beautiful rich blondes who never actually cared about being rich, but wanted to be free and loved. Gabriel and Adrien, the only two Agreste Boys to ever exist (with Gabriel's name change reveal and all), and the way Adrien's love for Ladybug was often all too much like his father-- obsessive, needy, prone to angry outbursts-- never on the same level, but something that might have gotten there, given time. Marinette, who has been desperately trying to stop overplanning for every single thing, but has been validated for doing so again and again, and punished numerous times when she didn't account for enough. Marinette, who wants so desperately to ensure that everyone and everything is okay that she ends up trying to control everything, precisely the kind of thing Gabriel spiraled from.
And yeah, Nathalie seeing those tendencies sounds like exactly the kind of thing we can hope to see, and dear GOD I hope you're right OP in that she'll oscillate between enabling habits and trying to do better as a mentor than she did as a peer.
Yeah man. Miraculous Ladybug has an insane amount of stuff that can be taken very, very seriously. It's not everyone's cup of tea. The writing in early seasons is very different than later ones, and if people would like the later ones but can't get through the earlier ones (or lack the same investment for trying to skip them) that's fair, and if people liked the more light-hearted silly adventures and don't like the show taking itself so much more seriously, that's fair, and if people like the serious parts but find the remaining absurdity too tone-clashy for their taste, that's fair! It's not flawless. But for what it is and what it's trying to do and be, for those who like the things it's trying to do and be, it's really, really good.
thinking about how Marinette and Gabriel are the same
and how Nathalie is going to be uniquely positioned to be able to see that from within the narrative
i wanna see season 6 Nathalie project Gabriel onto Ladybug. i wanna see her fall in to old habits to both her and Marinette's detriment.
and i wanna see her recognize the worst aspects of Gabriel in Marinette and guide her away from them

im a child of divorce
#the bit is over when i say its over and even when its so joever for these two its not over for me!!! (once again i am on heavy copium)#anyway. thoughts behind the spoiler tags#gempearl#shiny duo#wild life smp#life series spoilers#wild life spoilers#i feel like. i actually was expecting that#no but its so funny the one time the negative consequences of something does actually get acknowledged its the SL finale âbetrayalâ/j#like cmon fuck me i guess/j (BIG EMPHASIS. ON THE SLASH J. OKAY.)#but honestly though i did expect Gem to hold a grudge over the 2v1 in SL. and. its good that there are consequences???#it IS a âbetrayalâ in Gemâs eyes. they were friends. they were murder besties for the last two sessions and then Pearl chose Scar over her#and its awesome man. [through gritted teeth] this is awesome man this will be good for character development ok ok ok. ok?#its also got something to do with Pearl having the red creep in. i think#because during SL Gem was like. nearly idolising the Scarlet Pearl persona while vaguely aware that her own reputation has a similar effect#and yknow. the horrors. the fact that their image is so heavily built on what others deem them to be and they can only play into it#but by the end of SL Gem gets âbetrayedâ by this persona that she looked up to#and also her own âGeminiSlayâ intimidating image is also starting to fall apart. partly of her own will#and now shes watching Pearl slowly turn red again. and this time she knows its not good for her or Pearl#so shes distancing herself from it. shes âtrying to fix her reputationâ. she sees Pearl falling into it again and just. no. i dont love you#you betrayed me last season#but on Pearlâs end of things sheâs already deep into the idea that as long as you say you âforgiveâ someone then everything thats happened#in the past doesnât matter and they can all be friends. and nooo absolutely no grudges will be held. no emotional repression here#so. because thats happened to her in her own team she thinks the same can happen with her and Gem#and thats so. im going to blow myself up now

So is the reason for Tyren getting more unhinged the side effects of the devotion necklace, or was this a downward spiral he would have gone done regardless of the necklace? I remember you talking about how the necklaces have consequences, and I'm curious if this is one of them.
Yeah!
Tyren would have been an already overly-doting and even jealous character on his own without the loyalty necklace, (and had been due to his crush on the Lamb even before recieving it, and what happens when you reject followers in-game) but his spiral into a unhealthy obsession and idolization was aided by the loyalty necklace.
If it was given to perhaps a regular, less devoted follower, the effects maybe wouldn't have had such severity. But Lamb got the materials/necklace from the mystic seller and isn't fully aware of the effects it might have on their followers yet.
So, dog is unhinged a bit on his own, but amplified by the necklace. He's originally friendly, caring and sweet. But you take good traits, too much of a good thing, and they can turn bad
#I want to talk about Tyren in stream again or go on a ramble#he's a character i want readers to like but also i dont want them to LIKE LIKE him#i want to write him in a way that makes you wonder if he did not go down this path he would actaully be someone you'd want to be friends wi#what ifs and what not#also in some reality there would people rooting for tyren in his corner because in his point of view#hes known the lamb for a long time and has been their friend and confidant#and has cared about them and even had a crush on them for quite a while#then suddenly this cat appears and everything feels wrong#dont get me wrong tyren is meant to be a good friend turned bad guy#but i was also never meant to get attatched to and develop the side characters as i have been doing slkdghsld#okay ive rambled enough#tyren oc#trod au

Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple and how âability usersâ (opposite to ânormal peopleâ) learning to accept themselves through the acceptance of their own abilities is a queer metaphor of acceptance of own's sexual orientation and gender: an essay by me
#bsd#bungou stray dogs#About: Dead Apple. Watched this a while ago with a friend and it was a lot of fun!!!#If you're reading this: thank you so much for hanging out with me I had such a good time (ă
ÂŽ Ë )âĄ#Next to general considerations: wow they were right that Bungou Stray Dogs movie sure can Bungou Stray Dogs#It's always nice to see the detailed animation and elaborate backgrounds of movies. The animation quality compared to the manga isâ#definitely noticeable and it's nice to see. That said... I still like the season 2 art style more? And I'm speaking strictly of art style.#The s2 one looks more soft and smooth while the da one is so much more rough.#The plot is... Very bsd-esque I don't think there's anything to add.#In my opinion Kyouka's arc is the one that turned out best tbh. I really like her narrative development and personal growth in this movie.#I like the complexity of her state of mind. how full of contradiction she is. I especially appreciate the recurring small changes ofâ#expression that indicate how she thinks differently from Atsushi even if she doesn't voice them. The fight between her cynicism and herâ#kind nature. It's all very interesting.#Atsushi's development is interesting too. Although all the open questions about his ability we still have kind of leave me frustrated#I don't feel very strongly about Akutagawa in this movie? I meanâ he's there. The ss/kk scenes are always great and in character and a joyâ#to witness no matter what they do. He just doesn't shine particularly? Or at least personally I dont find the âproving my strength againstâ#myselfâ narrative arc to be particularly interesting. Imo it was a lot better flashed out in the da stage play! With the complexity thatâ#the dialogues with Chuuya added to the character. Dazai attacking him. And especially Aktgw understanding that Rashomon wasn't testing Aktg#but rather only expressing that unstoppable rage that is also Aktgw's own. About that I checked out the play and I really liked it!!#I only watched highlights (aka: ss/kk and chuu/aku scenes) but there's some stuff I really like. I like the conflict between Aktgw andâ#Chuuya and how Chuuya messes up with Aktgw at first maliciously and then amiably. It's interesting how Atsushi himself observes that Kyouka#and Akutagawa get along. And especially the sskk almost-handholding and Atsushi saying Akutagawa has a nice profile were cute akjdhbsawhjb#Next. Da really is shipping paradise (â„ïčâ„) Sorry but... It is. oda/zai. daz/atsu. ss/kk. s/kk. fuku/mori. chuu/aku. It really has everythin#and the moments are so good!!!! What else. Wish we'd see more of Tsujimura. And Christie. And women in general tbh.#Alsoâââââ Atsushi's tiger form in this movie is ATROCIOUS. I've said it before but it's crazy how a franchises that relies so heavily onâ#fanservice came up with something this hideous. Man the movie overall was pretty but Atsushi sure wasn't. Firmly stand by the beliefâ#that only Akutagawa would find that form attractive.#Oh last note. honestly if we're ready to accept a movie where an antidote has effect AFTER the person has effectively died then we reallyâ#can't complain about any kind of insanity the manga brings up#random rambles

this needs an update lol. iâll write out more when ive actually settled info but iâve made up a bunch more aus to add to the list:
âdanny phantomâ au - tangle, unlike the others, doesnât fully restabilize after the eggperial city was destroyed. fortunately, she can turn intangible basically at will! (technically works more like togata mirioâs Permeation quirk, but âdanny phantom auâ rolls off the tongue better). she doesnt like randomly being âuselessâ and intangible :)
apocalypse bleed au - i had a weirdfun dream and now iâm trying to capture it as an au. future au where the world splits in two halves, sonic and tails (and eggman) are MIA, and the boundaries between worlds have been damaged so much, things and even people from other worlds are falling in. also tangle is a tinkerer (this is a big part of the au)
weretangle au - branches off from canon at an undecided point: sonic and tangle are hanging out and wind up getting asked to investigate some weird seismic activity. they do, and⊠a giant pit in the ground opens before them, flooding them with dark gaia energy and dropping them both into a deep cave system far underneath the surface. sonic has to help tangle acclimate to her wereform as they both escape and reach daylight, but even after that, theyâll still transform every night until dark gaia - who is beginning to awaken in a fitful sleep nearing its fated awakening year - is sealed and put asleep again.
tloz au - tangle as the resident link :) (she is not named link) - tloz elements woven into the idwverse as history become present, with tangle holding triforce of courage, jewel with wisdom, and clutch with power. their own powers only awaken once all three of them have grown into their aspect of the triforce, and thus begins a power struggle where clutch is trying to amass followers and take out his competition, while tangle and jewel work together with far less knowledge on whatâs happening and the nature of these weird triangle symbols that glow for them and give jewel powers. i also really want to design sonic versions of a bunch of links (not all of them!! unless i have a lot of ideas)
zombot!tangle au is already listed, but iâve been tweaking it xd
omnitrix au - a couple years before idw begins, tangleâs out a bit late when she sees a shooting star⊠which isnât a shooting star when it crashes to the planet in front of her holding a weird watch, which then leaps onto her arm/tail (havent decided) and wonât come off! with it, tangle can become 10 different aliens, each with their own advantages and sometimes disadvantages compared to her own normal self. she goes through a lot of ben 10 OS plot stuff & faces off against vilgax still before idw begins, so by the time she joins sonicâs friendgroup sheâs got way more experience with weirdness and crazy, and is less of a rookie.
digimon frontier au - hashing out a sort-of interpretation of digimon frontier with some digimon 02 elements, but the human kids all replaced with sonic characters, and spirit evolutions with armor evolutions, and the plot adjusted to follow the different personalities at play. not v developed
lego monkie kid au - mostly just playing with visual design (lets see if i remember to add the sketches before i post this), might figure out a mostly lore-compliant way to make tangle another sorta mystical monkey. or potentially making her âa demon with the powers of sun wukongâs staffâ, also pending a lore-compliance check unless i stop caring about lmk/jttw compliance. i think she and mei and mk would be great friends :)
dryad!au - iâve drawn her before, an au tangle thatâs essentially a nature spirit; the only of her kind to walk the forest she lives in, with leaves and vines sprouting from her body as hair. she communicates with plants and has a generally friendly/neutral relation with animals, and thatâs all she worries about, until this weird thing that is not plant nor animal but very close to tangle herself appears - an android, a âwhisperâ. she is built for destruction, she says, but cannot return to her superiors. instead, tangle lets her stay and shows her how her world works, how to live without worrying about orders. i think the forest eventually gets bombed by military or whatever, either trying to recover whisper & getting attacked, or intentionally trying to destroy her to avoid the enemy getting ahold of her. they accidentally draw a target on their backs for the rage of the forest spirit whose home they unduly destroyed, and whisper herselfâs ire.
bastion au - tangle inserted as the Kid/protagonist, whisper as Zia, dunno who to put as Rucks or Zulf ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ this is mostly because i want to put Bastion in front of peopleâs noses in the hopes they will play this wonderful awesome game if they see blorbos with it. this worked for me when i bought ffxv in order to understand a kh fic better and it became a game i loved besides.
^ iâm still working on building these AUs up, but if anyoneâs interested in a certain one, asks make me very excited and want to write more and share :)
tloz au, zombot au rework, apocalypse bleed au, and omnitrix au (in that order) are the ones with the most development/ideas to pursue
Full Tangle AU List (aka the Tangleverse)
Finally itâs compiled!!! I have here for you a list of 22 different Tangles for you to browse and rotate in your brain :3 A bunch of these come with content for other characters, though, so if youâre not as Tangle-focused as I am you could probably find something neat to look at.
Each listing is entered under its designated AU name, if there is a relevant link to the AUâs original source itâll be linked within the title, and Iâll add a short summary or blurb about the Tangle or AU as a whole. Iâll also make distinctions for if an AU has art.
None of these AUs are my own creations, unless theyâve got a ~Leori signature after them - follow the link to their individual creators! In the case of my own AUs, I usually donât have much content for them because I donât know what to say, so feel free to send in asks. Or for the ones with very little content, do whatever youâd like with them, theyâre basically open prompts.
The numbers donât matter, theyâre just for tallying up how many there are. Iâm not ranking these.
This is long, so Iâm putting everything after the table of contents under a âread moreâ. â Swap AUs â Future AUs â General AUs â Crossover AUs â Jokesy AUs
Keep reading
#long post#i cant stop putting this girl into situations. :)#my favorite way to study a blorbo is to take them - strip them of everything familiar to them and stick them in another world -#and then figure out what theyâd do or be from there & what they make to be familiar out of their circumstance

2024 reads / storygraph
Asunder
slow-paced high fantasy
a woman who has a contract with an eldritch entity allowing her to see the dead & survives by taking various jobs
when a job searching for stranded smugglers in a cave goes wrong, she ends up with the soul of a dying stranger bound to her shadow
along with a scholar and her old childhood friend, they travel to his home country to find a way to unbind him and save them both
dark fantasy world with gods, demonic entities, arcane magic, and semi-sentient beasts used as transport
#asunder#kerstin hall#aroaessidhe 2024 reads#okay SUPER fascinating worldbuilding with some very visceral creatures and biological constructs and interesting magic systems.#many things I like. A great cast of characters. Honestly I could read tons more stories set in this world.#itâs very slow building and meandering narratively; focusing on the complex journey of the main character#didnât love the audio narration tbh - it felt like some lines are read with the wrong emphasis or tone? but I got used to it after a while#So this has one of my absolute favourite tropes (bodysharing.) unfortunately it turns it into a romance which is. well.#it just doesnât hit the same if you make it romantic!! so that kinda made it change traintracks from being on a direct line to#potentially 5 stars to a whole different station where i do not live. lol.#I SUPPOSE itâs a well developed relationship and Iâd prefer romances more like that than instalove I guess.#I did love their dynamic; too; but suddenly realising it was romantic threw me for a loop. I had put him in the annoying dad category.#I do also feel like we didnât get quite enough of him as an individual person and characterisation - which obviously makes sense to an#extent; but I felt like I only got to see more of him in the brief time around his father.#Also he was surprisingly chill and nice to her immediately considering he was essentially her hostage???#Anyway I did enjoy a lot of it; it just suffers the unfortunate tragedy of#[literally my favourite thing made for me] [turns that thing into literally my least favourite thing i hate]#but also -random dude youâre bound to being overly protective and considerate despite barely knowing you (platonic/familial vibe) - yeah!#random dude youâre bound to being overly protective and considerate despite barely knowing you (romantic) ehhhhâŠidk.....#(to me personally. i'm sure people enjoy that. whatever)

Your brain is literally gynormous. Do you think Damian's and Dick's relationship is paternal? Because, as someone who has actually had to raise their sibling (do not recommend) it looks more like a guy that had too much in his plate trying to be the best caregiver he could, but not really being a parent, if that makes sense. I feel like the idea of him wanting to adopt him feels like kind of a retcon, couldn't really see it in the og run. But of course, it could be because it's not exactly the same as my experience (abusive father, incapable mother, yknow the drill). What do you think? All your posts are so good.
Also while you're at it, what do you think of Dick as a parent? Some elseworlds have played with the concept, and main continuity did something too with Olivia but T*m Tayl*r fucked that up too. I also wonder how Damian would be as a dad, but I don't think I've ever seen any stories with it.
omg anon thank you and thank you for asking!! this is literally one of my favorite topics!! i was thinking about making a post on this and now you gave me the excuse for it!!
Long story short, I don't think that âparentalâ is a binary thing. I mean, I know several bio-parents who are just guys with too much on their plates, trying to be the best they can, you know? And people can see parent figures in all kinds of relationships that arenât blood or traditional moms/dads, especially with people who didn't know each other from birth. There are a million ways to be parented, and a million ways to act as a parent.
The way I think about it is, is Dick Damain's John Grayson? No, I don't think so.
But is Dick Damian's Bruce Wayne? Yes. Totally. Absolutely.
More under the cut bc I have a lot of thoughts.
I think to talk about Dick and Damian, we have to start with Dick and Bruce. So much about Dick and Damian is a reflection of the original Dynamic Duo, and I think that's very much the case with this element as well. From the start of their very long comic history, Dick and Bruce have been dancing around their relationship. We get early comics that say they're "like" father and son, we have Bruce saying he couldn't care about Dick more than if he was Bruce's son, but we also have places where they call each other their best friends, where they act more like brothers, etc etc.
When it comes to who our parents are, I think there is the responsibility, and the result. Certain people have the responsibility, the duty, to be our parents, and sometimes (because death or illness or being shitty people), they aren't able to meet those responsibilities. That never removes the responsibility; they don't stop being the parent. But they aren't able to create the result of us becoming good stable adults. That's where other people can step in, where the parental figure appears, and those are the people that we actually point to when we say "they made me the person I am today."
In fandom, we see a lot of Dick not wanting Bruce to replace his father, of him asking not to be adopted. I think this is a fine characterization that works with who Dick is, but Bruce is actually the one to say that he is not going to replace Dick's father. He says it completely unprompted, too. This is withholding the responsibility of being Dick's parent from Bruce, keeping him at a distance and reserving it as an honor for someone who can't hold it anymore, even as Bruce demands responsibility for literally everything else about Dick.
And I think that it's very telling of what Bruce's idea of a father is. The thing about having a dead parent at a young age is that the person of your parents is still tangled in the role of parent in your life; Mom is mom, not Martha, and because she's dead, the image of both Martha and "mom" is frozen. For Bruce, the relationship of father and son is frozen in the relationship of specifically his father and him. Of course Bruce is not Dick's father; Bruce himself is so different from what his conception of a father is. And as a fellow son, for Bruce, someone who just got back from 7 years abroad studying to be Batman, for whom the nearly 20 year old wound is still fresh, the idea of even wanting another father doesn't make sense, particularly for a boy that Bruce identifies with so hard that he becomes the third person ever to know who Batman is.
This looming memory is even worse when it's Dick's turn to be Batman. While Bruce looks at Dick and sees the memory of his own loss, the shadow of his own grief, Dick is looking at Damian and seeing Bruce. Dick knows very well who Damian lost; Dick is grieving what Damian lost more than Damian is. Bruce couldn't conceive of replacing a father, but Dick is struggling to imagining himself replacing Bruce at his job, much less who he was in his personal relationships.
But even if Damian isn't Dick's responsibility, Dick doesn't hesitate to care about Damian's future. "Who's going to save him if we don't?" At the start of the DickBats era, Dick isn't looking at Damian as a family member, really. He's looking at Damian as a victim, abet a very involved, very dangerous one. It's how Bruce looked at Dick too, before he had any reason to know that this kid would become something more to him. But, like Bruce, what Dick does to save Damian is bring him into the thing that is most precious to him; Batman. The mission. Saving people. A way to live in the world.
I know saying someone is the Batman to their Robin is like, a joke at this point. Something unbelievably cheesy. But you google "iconic duos" and Batman and Robin are one of the first responses. There's a reason for the joke. So imagine you are Robin, and your Batman is dead. And you have to go and find a new partner. Dick making Damian his Robin is heavy, just as heavy to me as adoption papers. Bruce made Dick his partner without any idea of what that meant. Dick, and the audience, had 70 years of expectation on what Dick and Damian could be. Dick making Damian Robin was a very specific claim, far stronger imo than just claiming him as a son would have been.
Because, to be honest (and speak to your other question), I don't think Dick thinks a lot about being a parent. I don't really think it's that important to him. Dick is a leader, a mentor, he deals with a ton of teenagers and kids through his vigilante work, he goes to Tim's sidekick parent's meetings and takes Jason skiing and more than that, he's also young. He's in his 20s. He should be at the club. I think he probably thinks he'll have kids in an abstract way, but it's not something he's looking for, consciously or unconsciously. He's not searching for connection, or to fix his mistakes or his past, the things that lead Bruce to adopting sidekicks. He'd be a great dad, and I think we see him being pretty good with his Elseworlds kids, but Dick is a very practical person, and him taking a kid in (vs finding somewhere else they can go) is not really the practical choice.
Except for one kid. There's just been one kid with legitimately no where else to go, where Dick is truly the only option, because going home meant only bad things for him. Dick made Damian part of his family in the ways that mattered to them both in that moment. With their lives, adoption doesn't really make a huge material difference on custody (if Damian wanted to leave, Dick couldn't have stopped him; Damian has access to basically unlimited money and can feed and clothe and wash himself. and possibly already has a phd.), and Dick wanted Damian to choose, anyway. If I recall correctly, Dick says he didn't think about taking Damian with him until Bruce comes back. He thought about taking Damian with him, thought that Damian might be better with Dick (his partner!!!!) than even with Bruce, his dad, the person Dick loves so much, only in the face of them being separated.
Meanwhile Damian, for all his blustering about how Dick needs to "earn" his respect, warms up to Dick startlingly quickly. For Damian, who had never known a father, who in his initial run hadn't even known his mother for more than two years, whose other male family is Raâs al Ghul, his father is Batman. Even in Tomasi's kinder depiction of Damian's childhood, Damian only knows the Bat. And when he meets Bruce, the first thing he expresses is disappointment. Bruce the man is underwhelming and then goes and dies. So much for the mythic hero!
And then he meets Dick. Who manages to teach Damian something, who doesn't discount his skills even when he's wrong. Who proves that he is better at being Batman than Damian, and shows that he wants Damian around. And, even more importantly, who doesn't die. Dick is stable in a world constantly in flux. Damian screws up a lot in that run, and he leaves for long stretches of it, but Dick is always there when he gets back. There's no blame here, but the truth is that Dick is the one who stays.
Bruce was Damian's father, but what does that mean to someone whose never met a father at all? Bruce might have tried to connect with Damian before he died, but he doesnât do it in a way that works. He doesnât give Damian trust, he doesnât encourage him in the ways Damian finds importantâŠthe first person to do that is Dick. Dick gives Damian responsibility, makes him part of the team. It could be argued that Damian didnât deserve it, but weâre not talking about deserving. Weâre talking about what worked. It sounds like as good an idea as making a tiny 8 year old acrobat a sidekick, but it undeniably worked for both Damian and Dick. Does that mean that either of these relationships were parental in the way that we think of it in the real world, in the way that a child psychologist would say is good and healthy? I have no idea. But they are the most parental in the absence of any other parents, and I think that means a lot.
Unfortunately, we don't get to actually see the dissolution of Dick and Damian's partnership. DC conveniently skips over showing us Bruce coming back and Dick becoming Nightwing again; preNew 52, Dick is still Batman with Damian even when Bruce returns, and in the New 52, he's been Batman "Before" and we don't really see the end, just a vague aftermath. But if it did take that kind of change to make them realize their relationship had a flavor of "parent and child", had the makings of something like a father and son, well, they'd just be following in the original Batman's footprints.
#asks#dick grayson#damian wayne#bruce wayne#this is a fucking essay#batman meta#And I didn't even manage to talk about John#Sorry John#I think there is the more traditional caregiver side of parenthood#the part that makes sure the kids are fed and dressed and ready for school#but the magic of comics is that none of the bat characters really need that and damian in particular is not receptive to it#They kind of regress Damian to it a bit after the supersons era#but he is extremely assured while Dick is batman#he doesn't need a parent in the caregiver way he need a parent in the believes in you and gives you somewhere to call home way#it just turns out that its really hard to have someone love you and watch out for you and get super invested in your development#and not think of them in some kind of fond paternal way#also i may need to make a real post about dick and children because i dont know if i was really coherent here lol#also if there are any issues that show something i missed lmk#i have definitely not read everything

Zutaras are really the original self-insert, "we understand the story soooooo much better than everybody else" girlies and they just never moved on
#anti zutara#no offense to anyone who ships it and follows me but I'm so over the shipping wars of this show that aired almost 20 years ago đ#at some point you guys are gonna need to hang it up cause there's a sequel series and these people are married with children like...#we get it if you were Katara you would've chosen Zuko but guess what?! you aren't and need to stop projecting onto her#the pretending to care about Katara is what really gets me cause she's never even implied to have romantic feelings for him#or vice-versa + it ignores her anger towards him and how long it took her to forgive him + rightfully so#criticizing the writing for Kataang is one thing but turning around and shipping Zutara while doing so is crazy work#ship it if you want but please stop pretending it makes more sense when both Zuko and Katara have their own separate romances đ#love how people have to age Aang down + infantilize him and erase Mai to make it work but sure it's the better option#stop erasing Katara's arc and development just to claim that Aang brings her down when she's been a bad-ass since season 1#reducing her arc to that ONE moment with Zuko and ignoring all of her other development just to prop up a ship is nasty#Katara isn't a reward for Aang and she sure as hell isn't one for Zuko stop belittling her like that#if y'all didn't watch ATLA when you were 12 and think Zuko was cute this ship wouldn't even exist#thinking about that post that said the writers /pandered to dudebros/ like we all weren't children the delusion is crazy sdfssdfsdfsd#also seeing AANG of all characters getting whacked for a ship...please get a life and stay away from him#antizutara

ok now that you've said it, im gonna ask for it. Azul X Cater, either friendship or romantic could be fun. Cater helping Azul relax without the stuffy business stuff and raising his confidence levels callin him cute or w/e? And Azul helping Cater with getting him super cool items to post on his magicam / putting spicy menu items in the monstro lounge for him to eat (not for like the art idea but like just in general on how the ship might play out)
HEHEHEHE THAT'S REALLY CUTE :3 they could be a power couple, i can see it in my mind's eye...
azul acts all confident but i think if a cute boy got close and batted his eyelashes at him he'd get flustered and fold in an instant lol
#also the fact that theyre both the same height fucks me up still. i feel like cater should be taller but hes NOT!!!!!!!!!!#twst#azul ashengrotto#cater diamond#twisted wonderland#cereal tries to draw#ummm idk what 2 tag them as#caterazul#azulcater#cayzul#hwat ever#should i be adding like#shipping#asks#to my more specifically shippy posts#i saw a post a while ago that said ppl should do that so ppl that dont like shippiing can blacklist#i get stressed sometimes bc. i feel like there is a lot of overlap sometimes for platonic and shippy! but sure why not#here was pretty clearly shippy LOL anyway. anyway hi. jfksdljfklsdhgkldjsfdsjfksdjgklsdjf#they could be cute#that bit u said about helping azul relax from the stuffy business stuff is paralelling an oc x oc [not twst related] thing my friend#and i have w/our boyos lol#to be fair. the stuffy business guy was initially a joke character based on azul that turned into a real oc with lore and development LOL#but anyway. we had a whole arc where my guy was like 'turn off the little business pilot in your brain đ' helping him relax lol#anyway point is i can see it with cayzul#takin azul by the hand like 'LETS GO TO A TRENDY CAFE~' 'we could just eat at the lounge-' 'umm call it market research đ'#silly. hehe

I've been thinking a lot about how Rook's reunion with his former mentor, Zara, is going to go, and since I can't predict what the DM is going to have her do or say, I can only dwell on what I know is going to happen. Which happens to include taking off the illusion ring that's been hiding his injuries from her. So have a snippet of the description I have planned for that moment:
tw for description of (mostly healed) injuries
He hesitates, twisting a ring on his finger. Looking at it more closely, she can tell itâs very finely crafted, and must have been very expensive. A large emerald is set into the band. Rook sighs, and pulls the ring off his finger in one quick motion. Immediately sheâs struck by the difference in his appearance as the illusion melts away. He looks awful. His warm, healthy skin fades to a dull and sickly grey. Thereâs huge bags under his deeply sunken eyes, and his cheeks are hollowed, as though they have been carved out by an overeager sculptor. He looks like heâs recently risen from the grave. While he was thin before, now she can see his ribs under the skin, and his collarbones are exaggeratedly pronounce. Thin white lines left by dozens upon dozens of recently healed cuts are scattered across his body. On top of that, faded bruises cover most of his visible skin, a mottled mosaic of purple and yellow. Theyâre clearly days, maybe weeks old, and she can only begin to imagine what they must have looked like when fresh. Bandages are barely visible under his shirt, wrapping around his back, hinting at even more injuries.
#morrigan.text#my writing#dnd writing#oc: Rook#oc: Zara#Poor Zara.#she's gonna feel so fucking guilty about everything that's happened to him in the last 3 years even though it's not her fault.#yes she pissed off Wolf but she had no way of knowing Wolf would go after Rook instead of her.#(I don't even know what she did to piss off Wolf. That's the Big Reveal that's going to happen when Rook sees her again.)#but yeah. Seeing him like this and knowing/thinking that it's because of her actions... it's going to destroy her and that kills me.#I don't know what she did but I *do* know that she never intended for Rook to get hurt. She loves him too much for that.#but Rook could never blame her for anything. He'd forgive her just about anything. And that will probably only make her feel worse.#Rook and his mentors will never ever fail to fuck me up big time.#his undying devotion and naive faith in them which is such a stark contrast to his usual distrust of people.#and it gets him hurt every time even though the don't *mean* to hurt him. But Sigmar's case was definitely much more malicious than Zara's.#this reunion is going to be such a huge turning point for Rook's character and his personal development as a character.#well really it's a combination of things all happening at once that are going to be the turning point.#1) the fact that the party rescued him from Wolf which has literally no other explanation than that they love him and care about him.#2) seeing Zara again and finally getting that closure that he never got three years ago plus being to reestablish the most important#relationship in his entire life. Plus she's just a good influence on him all-around a much-needed source of support after Sigmar's betrayal#3) getting gifted the Tide Breaker (Zara's old ship) and having to learn some responsibility for once in his life will be very good for him#and I guess you could also say that 4) my temporary character Val talking some sense into him has something to do with it lmao.#but we'll see how this all plays out bc while I know these things are going to happen they technically haven't happened yet.#I'm not gonna RP the conversation between Rook and Val bc it would just be me talking to myself for a long time but I am gonna write it up#when we get to that point so I can show it to the DM so he knows what they talked about. Plus it will be a very fun exercise bc Val was#literally designed to be Rook's opposite in just about every way. They're very wise and responsible and Rook is a reckless idiot.#(but I love him anyways.)#So it's gonna be fun to balance writing both of them in the same conversation.#anyways. these tags are SO FUCKING LONG already. If you read this far I'm giving you your favorite dessert and a hug if you want it.#and also pledging you my undying allegiance for life. <3

You know I was against Giovanni taking over all the villain arcs (save for Sinnoh's) in Pokemon Masters until the Kalos one because now there's a possibility his aim is to start up Rainbow Rocket again and how cool would it be to see the half redeemed villains have to fight against alternate, more evil versions of themselves who succeeded in their original plans
#pokemon#pokemon masters#it started with 'I hate that this is just giovanni getting the spotlight again' and then turned into#'wait they actually kept Lysandre in character this was the best way to do this'#and given Lysandre and Cyrus both got alts and Ghetsis still has his OG and maxie and archie have their original designs from gen 7#there's a way for them to include the other outfits and bring back the evil versions while still keeping the character development#and also opening the door for alt versions of the same character like Ingo for example#that might end up being too complicated though we'll see#it doesn't feel super likely but it's always a possibility skfhs#ALSO I want to clarify Ghetsis is not half redeemed in the slightest#everyone else has something there that they can develop further#but ghetsis will always be evil THOUGH he also hates giovanni in pokemas lore so he would absolutely oppose him#N has given him multiple opportunities to grow and maybe have a father son relationship#but the ONLY time ghetsis even acknowledged that was when he was trying to manipulate N#ghetsis and giovanni can shake hands in pokemas lore for trying to manipulate their sons
