Haldir x reader

You stood on Gimli’s left as you waited for the battle to begin. You had joined Aragorn and the others when they set off in search of Merry and Pippin. You had told them that you'd seen a pack of orcs but were unable to fight off that large number on your own. 

The elves had come to aid Rohan in this battle. You had been helping get the men ready for battle and hadn't been present for their arrival.  

“I cant see anything!” Gimli complained to Legolas, jumping in hopes of seeing over the wall. 

“Shall i describe it to you, or shall i find you a box?” legolas asked.

You expected Gimli to be angry at legolas for teasing him about his height. Instead he laughed. You smiled. “There isn't much to see, its too dark.” you said to Gimli, reassuring him he wasn't missing anything of importance. 

When the ladders appeared, you knew the fun was about to begin. “Legolas, two already!” Gimli shouted excitedly. 

“Im on seventeen!”

You chuckled. “Twenty!” you shouted, skewering another orc.

“Oy, ant no pointy ears outsourcing me!” Gimli shouted, swinging his ax and taking down an orc. 

You got separated from the others and ended up fighting with a few of the elves, glad to be in the midsts of your own kin even if it was during a battle. As you fought, you recognized one of the elves Haldir. You hadnt seen him in over two hundred years but you recognized his fighting style anywhere. You wanted to go and greet him, but you knew now was not the right time. 

You shot an orc and smiled. “Thirty-one,” you counted. 

“You arent participating in that foolishness are you?” a voice asked. You turned and saw Haldir. He was frowning. 

“Whats wrong with having a bit of fun?” you knew he wouldnt recognise you due to your armor. Your weapon was of Dwarvish make, you’d lost your sword and Gimli had lent you his second ax, which you gladly accepted. 

“The battlefield is nat for games.” he huffed, killing an orc.

“Oh, why are you always so serious?” you asked, killing another two orcs. “If this happens to be my last battle, i intend to go down with a smile… thirty-five,” you counded,swinging the ax.

“Haldir!” Aragorn's voice echoed over the sound of steal on steal. “Retreat!” 

Haldir called for the others to retreat and he made way back into the fortress. You were close behind. 

“Thirty-seven, thirty-eight, thirty-nine…forty…”

You heard a sound of pain and turned, Haldir was outnumbered. You ran to his aid, killing the orc that intended to take his head. 

Haldir nodded in thanks. 

You went to reply when you felt a presence behind you. You spun and killed the orc that had tried to stab you. “Forty-two…” you said. 

Haldir motioned for you to fallow. “Stay close, I’ll get you out of here,”he said, helping you down the stairs. You killed one last orc before something hit the back of your skull, rendering you unconscious.

“Forty-three…” Haldir counted before catching you.

When you woke, you were on a bed in the medical room. You slowly sat up. A hand gently rested on your back. You looked over to see Haldir, he was smiling softly. “I wasn't expecting to see you here… let alone be saved by you…” he whispered, gently grabbing your hand and giving it a soft squeeze.

You felt it as pink ran to your cheeks. 

Haldir cupped your chin with his other hand, gently having you meet his eyes. “I owe you my life.” he whispered.

You shook you head. “You dont owe me anyth-” you gasped softly as he placed a finger over your lips.

“y/n…” he slowly leaned closer, lips about to touch yours when the doors opened. He pulled back and frowned.

Gimli ran over to where you were and legolas was close behind. “You gave us quite a fright lass!” Gimli said as he drew closer.

You chuckled. “ i am quite alright Gimli… i’ll be back to myself shortly.” you said.

Gimli smiled and legolas sat on the edge of the bed.

“What happened after the retreat?” you asked.

“Gandalf showed up with reinforcements.” legolas said. “We won.”

You nodded. “And now what do we plan on doing? When do we return to rohan?”

“We are in rohan, you were asleep the whole time.” Haldir said.

“Oh…”

“Theres going to be quite the celebration tonight, i expect you to stay here and-”

“I am fine, Gimli… i wouldnt miss a chance to beat the two of you in a competition.” you said smiling and slowly rising. “Besides i am fine…merely a wack in the head i will survive.”

“Youmust have the skull of a dwarf to be able to walk off a hit like that!” Gimli said, clearly shocked that you were walking.

“Or very thick armor.” you said. 

Gimli nodded. “Yes now come, Aragorn will be delighted to see you awake and the hobbits are here with us.” 

You gave Haldir one last glance before Legolas and Gimli dragged you out of the room.

You watched as the hobbits danced on the table. You shook your head and made your way out of the hall, the noise causing your head to pound.

You stood outside, looking up at the stars.

“We both know you are not healed… come, sit.” he said, gently grabbing your arm and steading you. You hadnt even noticed that your legs were trembling until he had took your arm.

I hope this isnt trauma dumping or sm but i just needed to get this out and also get some advice and i think i really like ur advice. ros says that she believes that ppl can get respect through both fearful (by having everyone fear her) and loving (by embodying their own hope) means but she feels as though shes been forced into going down the fearful path cause of how everyone treats her

pili then says that this is why he doesnt think he and ros can ever get along cause they have such fundamentally different mentalities cause he thinks fear is the only way to get ppl to respect others and that you cant fix the unfixable

pili then says that its not cause hes a clown fan, its cause he just loves getting humbled and will always fight the strongest player on any server hes in and ros asks hypothetically what would happen if she was the best pvper on the server and pili replied that he would have to go after her

ros then asks pili why hes been targetting her and pili replies that its cause he was just looking for a way to provoke clown, ros then asks if thats really it that he was just targetting her cause of clown and pili replies theres actually more than that and ros asks for a percentage which is

ros theb asked if hes been through therapy and that theres a thing in therapy where the patient reasons out why he wants to kill ppl and asks what he would do if someone killed pangi and he said he would get revenge, ros then asks about bad doing it and pili thinks that thats exactly what bad wants cause of bads actions and that all he wants is his little telenovelas and tells her about bad insinuating that he has a crush on someone cause he made the mistake of saying hes interested in someone and ros asks if thats why bad said that ros should take pili out on a date and pili said yes and expanded on what happened

ros then says that pili desires closeness with someone and that he feels strong emotions amd that he also inspires strong emotions in her (mainly anger and the like) but that while he wants to inspire fear and destruction she wants to inspire hope and protection and that she dislikes pili insinuating shes weak and thats why she keeps retaliating against pili and pili says he didnt even notice that and ros said thats exactly what she meant and pili apologizes then says that he can be too honest or too much of a liar, pili then says to not try to understand him cause of that but ros says that she does understand him

ros tthen says that if theyre gonna continue their rivalry to wait for a week while she continues building the castle which pili was upset about cause he cant wait to get killed and ros says he should make the most of the week and that he should fix things

pili then says that whatever happens in the week is exactly what he wanted and to not worry about him, ros then says that theyll make it a fun thung but also maybe that he shouldnt be killed cause hes on his last life and pili tells her not to worry about it and that they can just kill him if they wanted

Goblins eating mostly raw meat is actually untrue, they do nearly always cook their food because it better that way, with the only exceptions being if they're starving or if they're eating a person that really really pissed them off. This is why Riz gets bitey when he's angry, if you eat the thing making you mad, you don't have to deal with it anymore, right?

They're actually quite grossed out at the idea of eating anything raw or bad (moldy cheeses, sushi, anything with raw eggs, etc), because, even with their strong ass stomachs, if you eat raw/bad food, you get sick, of course!! these leads to Riz watching the bad kids eat cookie dough in just sheer horror.

Goblins in Solace mostly live in the mountains of chaos, where giving away the location of your home could get your entire clan killed. That means that sometimes lighting a fire is a /very bad idea/ and you need to suck it up and eat your dinner raw, its not preferred but they're able to do it without getting sick. Goblin almost always choose to make their homes near salt deposits though (which put them in a lot of conflict with other species) which means that while they can't often cook their meats over a fire they can certainly cure a lot of it. Usually with a mix of herbs and spices to add to the flavour. It also means that the meat lasts a lot longer and can be stored over winter. In an environment where getting your next meal is a case of life and death you're also not about to throw something out if it goes a bit mouldy. It might taste gross but that's calories which might mean the difference between seeing tomorrow or not.

Riz, however, does NOT live in the mountains. He lives in a city, with awesome things like OVENS and MICROWAVES so he cooks his damn food whenever he likes. He might cook it a little less well-done than a normal Solesian would prefer (or think is safe, he's particularly fond of rare chicken) but its still cooked. If he's hanging out with Gorgug he'll eat raw meat with him, but the half-orcs parents usually spring for good quality beef which even humans enjoy rare.

Riz tended to eat a lot of mouldy or bad food when he was younger especially after his dad died and they dropped down to a single income household. He was starving (kids at his school would often steal his free lunches) but didnt want his mom to worry so he'd eat whatever he could find even if it was gross. Sure he can eat mouldy food just fine but its not like he ever went LOOKING for it, he just has a vendetta against wasting food after being food insecure for so long so sometimes it just happens.

He hasn't had to eat actually bad food in a long time (though he will occasionally eat questionable leftovers) because he gets most of his meals at school or when hanging out with his friends. If anyone tried to steal his food these days he's pretty sure his friends would make sure they never /stopped/ finding the body.

That being said, when he caught his friends passing around a tube of cookie dough he wasted no time in slapping it out of their hands and promptly throwing it away. They were NOT goblins and the packaging even said 'do not consume raw' on the side due to risk of salmonella poisoning. Riz Gukgak did NOT fuck around when it came to protecting his friends (though he still wouldnt eat sushi even if it was a life and death situation, its mostly because of the wasabi though).

When Chucky first saw you, he knew something was wrong with you. He just didnt know what.

He was sitting in alleyway by the bins as people passed by but than he saw you.

'You wore sunglasses on a cloudy day? What the hell is wrong with you? You blind or something?'

His suspicions were confirmed when you stopped walking than walked into the alley than looked down at him and spoke to him.

'I can hear you're heartbeat. You're a human in a doll's body.'

Chucky was simply glaring up at you, not trusting you one bit but also a bit unsettled.

Jax supposedly knows Kinger has been here the longest, either he was told this or he is all knowing, same reason goes for why he says "We've been trapped here for years" how does he know how long its been?

This one is such a reach but Caine says he doesnt have control over ppls minds here and earlier Jax mentions having an adventure for the newbie, while this could be jax fucking around it is plausible he and caine have influence on eachother's ideas when it comes to the humans of this world

pt1 of Jax breaking the forth wall and no one understanding what hes looking at ("She still thinks this is a dream")

"Ow" Jax getting hurt by the gloinks. Aren't their senses cut off for the most part? How come he got hurt?

thanks to her father, alicent has always had this idea drilled into her head that unless she secures aegon as king he is going to die, rhaenyra will kill him cuz he is a threat (she wouldnt have done that, duh, she doesnt work like the heartless blood hungry men around her that just want everything to be bloodshed and death. she is trying to avoid bloodshed n no one is on the same wave length except for alicent, which is so ironic). can u imagine growing up alongside ure first born son and looking at him and seeing him dead. thats what alicent sees: she sees her lil boy dead as long as he isnt king.

and before viserys death, she understands that actually no thats not true: rhaenyra would never kill him. she trusts her. she understands in that dinner scene that rhaenyra wants peace just like alicent. and then viserys talks his big talk abt dreams and aegon and alicent is now forced with this huge revelation. here he is, her husband, the man that robbed her of her childhood, a childhood of her being strung along and pimped by her own father for his own schemes, never having a voice, always trying to be good, jealous of rhaenyra and her rebellion; here he is denouncing his rebellious daughter in name of tradition and the order of things (so she thinks) and shes brought back to her young self, following her fathers words, and finds herself trusting the men in her life again n again n again. she had power for a brief moment when she was queen regent and what did she do? find religion, another way to constrict her power and her decisions by making them in name of smth else, not herself.

and i mean... it was for nothing!!! they were always going to be aegon on the throne!! shes fucking powerless, everything keeps reminding her of that. all she can do is damage control. but how can u do that when u dont do it to urself? she doesnt know how to mend herself without admitting shes been broken. she doesnt know how to comfort her children because she doesnt know how that looks like. shes flying blind, and shes trying, and she cannot tell between right or wrong anymore.

she IS losing herself, thats the point!!! shes tried to do everything in her power to not let aegon die even tho shes already grieved him to hell n back the second he was made king. she tries to honor viserys, the man that ruined her under the hand of the other man who ruined her (her father), because what else can she do as a wife but honor him in his death? n then to know she didnt even do that right, it was a misunderstanding.

after that scene alicent is truly truly lost. they were close to peace before, she threw that away (it was always going to be thrown away but she blames herself all the same), thinking it was the right thing to do even when she was dooming them all, and then it was for nothing. THATS THE POINT!!! IT WAS ALL FOR NOTHING!!!! THE POINT OF WAR IS THAT THERE IS NO POINT!!! ITS JUST DEATH AND GRIEF AND BLOOD. THERE IS NO VICTORY. THERE ARE NO HEROES. THATS THE POINT!!!!!!

she even fucking says it to the maester in ep 7, so clearly, and somehow yall still miss it. they were always doomed from the start. the second her father pimped her out to viserys, she was always going to live in pain and grief and numbness and madness. always.

she does what shes used to, damage control. she tries to save her daughter halaena, what else does she have? her other son, aemond? the one who is so sure he has this great big heroic task of winning this war by blood and fire, so blinded by his rage his bruised ego his pain and suffering and lack of love that he's turned into the scariest things in alicents eyes, a kinslayer; she knows that if they become too much trouble to him, he'll kill them. Halaena says so. he teases it when he removes Alicent from court. He's telling her "i know u want me to do things ure way. i do not want that. i dont want ur gentle ways, i think ure foolish for caring for the enemy, we need them dead, damn the consequences. do not come between me and my goal again. leave." and she understood that. when he turned his attention to halaena u can see so clearly alicent is terrified: hes going to kill my daughter. shes already set on leaving, so she says everything she can to aemonds face head on. she still sees her son there, she doesnt want him gone into the dark and blood and fire that she sees him walking head on into. she tells him "i know what u are. what u want. it is foolish. youll damn this whole family to death with this." and aemond cannot see that cuz he truly thinks hes in the right.

its why that last scene hurts so much. alicent is so fucking lost. she doesnt want any of her children to die and yet she knows they will. even if never went to rhaenyra, aegon is easy dead meat in his state. she knows this. if she continues there n lets halaena stay she knows aemond will make her fight and die n she cannot bear that either. she cannot have her daughter suffer her own fate while under war. she does not want that.

she doesnt sacrifice aegon cuz she wants him dead: he is dead either way. she didnt go to rhaenyra thinking she would make her choose that. and in the end she chose for her son to die because she cannot do anything else. he is always going to die. at least this way she can try and prevent complete n utter bloodshed (and it is all for nothing, there will always be war, she never has any power but at least shes accepted that. she knows nothing she does influence much. she just wants to take her lil girl and her own lil girl and run far far away from death).

this is me talking about something non tcc related. zebruh is my favorite character besides marvus. please note that somethings such as his physical appearance will not be totally accurate to his sprites as these are headcanons.

in terms of the vagueness of raph's specific sexual abuse, i think ive been a bit wishy washy on how i talk about it (as ive... changed my mind on the specifics as ive gotten into writing more bits, canon and drafts and whatever be damned, i think ive pieced it together)

lemme like write out the timeline for how i think it all went down

uh. warnings for... csa. obviously.

so to kind of cement it out, raph started being sexually abused by his father at 8 years old. he barely remembers it because his splintered personality shit started at 6, when his mother "died". im unsure on if raph is even the original personality. what makes more sense? that raph was being beaten by his father so he'd stop crying over his dead mother and invented a CHILD to take that abuse? or that he invented a new PARENTAL persona to deal with it after? im honestly NOT sure what the answer is. maybe its both, who fucking knows. HE sure wouldnt.

the abuse from his father is what kind of kept him in line, so to speak, but also caused so many of those anger issues he has. the issues he puts ELSEWHERE.... if he fucks up? hes punished. if his brothers fuck up? hes punished. he doesnt remember the punishment, but he knows to stay in line. hes a good little soldier. its not something that happened in front of his brothers, but it might have been loud enough they could hear... something. as little as they would understand.

when hes 12 they realize somethings different about him, because leos puberty has become more obvious than his. maybe he blames leo for his own problems ever being discovered. maybe thats why hes EXTRA mad about leos physical body.

(i also apologize for the way ive overly dramatized the sexual-dimorphism, its gotten a bit out of hand since the start but SHRUG it helps to show things over dramatically)

but when that part is realized, the sexual abuse under his father becomes different. thats when it's less about controlling him, and more about it being his purpose. doesnt happen in beds or in the dojo anymore, it happens in LABS after that, it happens to test him. to see if things will work. hes experimented on in terms of... being under a scope. having his body never feel like his own. hes sexually abused medically after that, if that makes sense. this builds up the phobia of labs and doctors and medical treatment.

and the reason the same kind of controlling sexual abuse never happened to leo is because of the part where he's already been disappointing enough, shredder knew that wouldnt fucking matter. there was never an idea in shredders mind that it would work, so he just takes worse beatings than raph did. and besides, shredder quickly realizes once he cant be used as a donor, leos the best option he has.

but shredder's lack of thinking of raph as a person causes him to say too much, thinking raph wouldnt fucking care what happened to him, let alone his brothers. so he tells raph that leo's going to take over for that. or he tells SOMEONE inside raph that that's what will happen.

but as soon as raph learns that part, its time to leave. hes okay enough to get them all out, okay enough to cope with the complete change in lifestyle, and then he starts to deteriorate.

his mother didnt help the situation, like she tried in her own way, but raphs shitty brain trying to process that the father he barely remembers raping him has also abused and beat and raped and tried to kill her? it makes him lock that shit up tighter. its not about him, in his eyes. to him? his mother saved him. shes the hero of his life. he had a bad parent, he has a good parent. she has to be just as good as he was evil. thats how he sees it.

to his brothers? raph saved them. theres this nice mom here, but... its been 6 years. they dont know the worst shit their dad did to her (cuz they shouldnt, theyre fucking children) but they know they had no adults for 6 fucking years of their childhood. so she does not get the hero treatment from them. which in turn, makes raph resent them.

raph processing all that with his fucked up brain turns him into a fucking maniac who puts all the blame on leo, despite none of it being leos fault. while his awake/most conscious brain has blocked out being raped and being told leo would rape him, he still has that fear and anger and resentment. he feels it, but so much of it goes into slash. and slash processes that shit worse. slash is ready to protect himself at all times, if slash sees leo make a face, leos getting hit. if leo pisses raph off too much, slash is coming out and leos getting hit. its bad. leo doesnt actually deserve any of that ire, he did nothing wrong, he just doesnt help the situation by being a traumatized kid who's only outlet is poking fun at his abusive older brother.

its great when casey comes along, because its a new outlet for raph, hes so much less angry because hes out of the house, hes away from his family, hes letting out years of pent up rage and aggression, and hes in some kind of sexual situation that he actually wants to be in. so he's balancing himself out with her help. she is good for him.

so for about 2 years raph is just... avoidant. and no one minds, because hes better than he was. he still has moments of anger, but the hitting stops. he gets along with leo in so far as they can hang out in a group setting with their brothers. they absolutely both prefer the twins to each other, but theyre... okay. they all kind of know they're an abused family, no one really says it. who would want to? they kind of accept each others quirks, and its lucky theres no adult men in this house to set anyone off. literally no one in that house would be able to handle a man raising his voice.

and then raph remembers pieces. and then it all kind of... clicks into place. and then he realizes its not about leo at all, and he apologizes. and leo realizes why raph's been like that. and then they reconnect, and then theyre finally brothers. leos the only person (other than casey) that really knows about the sexual abuse at that point. so now raph has two people he trusts like that.

and thats kind of where we're at. thats the baseline for everything.

Thanks for enjoying the story! I can say with pretty much certainty we won't be seeing any other canonical characters from the game, Jaheira, Minsc and Halsin would have stayed behind in Baldur's Gate, as well as Wyll. My Durge killed Lae'zel early in the game and Karlach also died at the end of my campaign.

Gale's character decided to go after the crown, and while he was the staple fourth member of my party the relationship had always been uh... Tense. This was before they apparently patched out how needy he was, but frankly it made for a really interesting story since i just kind of assumed his character was kind of a creep wearing a nice-guy's face. Also, to be fair, I DID fall for his "wanna see a magic trick" line but that just kindled the fire to my theory that he's actually a fairly manipulative person (and perhaps he's unaware of it). MIND YOU PLEASE that this doesn't mean i don't like his character - honestly i feel like I got a REALLY interesting side of him in my campaign and i wouldnt have it any other way - this was a party composed of the dark urge, Astarion, Shadowheart and GALE and to have us all turn down power and glory only for the goody-two-shoes wizard of the camp to turn kinda evil and power-hungry made for a really satisfying narrative.

I made a Fighter, champion sub-class, BIG hulking drow because i thought it would be funny. Because i went in blind I started off as a confused homicidal murderer who is a liiiittle weirded out about his urges but he doesnt stress TOO much about it. Is fairly standoffish and distrusting toward all of his companions which made for a weird start. Motivated by gold, killing things, getting this worm out his head and making off-color jokes. Ends up siding with the Tieflings because i also decided that, as a very hedonistic character who thinks we should be lunatics because we want to rather than because a cult is telling us to be, my durge would profoundly hate the absolute. As a male drow he also really hated Minthara so yeah, easy choice there. As mentioned above, I also killed Lae'zel when she tried to murder-suicide everybody.

I wasn't going to fuck anyone, believe it or not, so during the tiefling party i went with Gale because it SEEMED like he just wanted to show me something neat (it ended early because i failed his checks and i guess he can't get hard unless i can cast fireball). Also, at this point even though i made mostly "good" moral choices i *was* still a dick the whole time - despite this, everyone in camp wanted to fuck me BESIDES Astarion, which was so fucking funny and devastating that I decided my Durge would, from that moment on, turn on the charm and the flattery and make it his mission to bang him. So yes, they were manipulating each other. I don't have to explain why that made for a really really fun little dynamic. Also Astarion had to tell me he was a vampire through dialogue instead of biting me and i got to say "yeah duh" which was hysterical.

I finally banged him sometime during the underdark (didn't go to the creche at all) and during Act 2 I followed the same pattern of doing mostly the Good Thing while being arrogant the whole time, I fell into a kind of chaotic-neutral/true-neutral aligment and watched my little homicidal maniac cluelessly stumble his way into a hero's journey. I had also really grown to like Shadowheart at that point after having a really negative first impression of her character and she basically became my durge's best friend. Astarion also grew on me for all the reasons we know and love and he did his confession to me sometime in late act 2. I Never met Araj (though i think i mention her in the fan story only because her interaction is interesting) so I got the dialogue that isn't prompted by her encounter. I also had to "break up" with Gale at this point which boy that sure came as a surprise to me! I also didnt break the shadow curse.

Because I didnt kill isobel (Again, my guy didnt like people telling him what to do or not to do), my little butler guy made me wanna kill Astarion. I SWEAR this happened pretty late in game, maybe even in the first night in baldur's gate which i realize is unusual. Naturally I didnt and I decided that would be the turning point where my Durge decides to not just Go With The Flow of things but actively fight his urge and pursue its root cause. He tried to be more of a good person from that point on which was kind of a clumsy effort lol

He completely antagonized the emperor immediately upon him revealing his true identity, stole the orphic hammer from Raphael's house, betrayed Gortash after setting an "alliance" with him, killed Orin (she kidnapped the orphan and killed her in front of me because i failed the check :| ) stopped Astarion from ascending and helped Shadowheart kill everyone in the house of grief, i let her make her own choice regarding her parents and she decided to kill them. I also encouraged her to not immediately align with the Selunites just because of her past.

I got Astarion the thing that helps him read the necromancy book and i cannot tell you how satifyins it was that, after giving up unspeakable power by killing Cazador, that dude and his little ghoul army basically mauled Orin and her grandad for me practically by themselves while I was down on the floor with 1 health. PROUD OF YOU BUDDY.

Gale spoke to Mystra as well at some point and i swear I NEVER encouraged that guy to take the crown for himself. It was always either "do whatever you want" or "i think thats a shitty idea." At this point my Durge was super sick of him so they had a bit of a crappy relationship which may have something to do with how things turned out.

I betrayed the emperor, released Orpheus and when he asked if any of us wanted to be a mindflayer i went "Fuck No" big time and luckily the guy just did it for me. Chaos ensues, I kill the emperor and the absolute in an epic battle that took me like a whole day. I also killed Orpheus when he asked me to. Karlach died ( :c ) and Gale told me he was gonna fuck off to get the crown. In the final Astarion dialogue I told him we would find a way to get him to walk under the sun again.... AAAAAnd thats it i think? Man this game is huge lmao i swear i wasnt trying to be long-winded.

ALso loved that Skeets was referred to as having been killed, being treated like a person who got murdered and not just a robot that got taken apart and used for parts

again, I am bothered that folks made a mystery involving Ted but didnt bring in Vic Sage/The Question who is also his friend and this shit would have been right up the man's alley

When it came to meeting for, really the first time. Vio agreed to go with Shadow yeah? Manga shit Shadow is manipulating and Vio goes with-- But because he planned to betray shadow... Right?

That was Vio's plan. At least what they'll tell themself.

There was no plan. Shit was pretty rough with the others, and they were feeling ignored. Feeling irrlevant when they were trying to make sense and actually communicate with the others. It was. The colors didnt exactly get along oerfectly at all, and Vio, did not like being ignored.

Shadow gave Vio an offer, and Vio who very much has a god complex. Went with it. Shadow validated making them feel so much higher and better rhen the othwrs. They went along not because of a plan, but becaise Shadow genuinely got them innon shit

Being validated about being better? Vio liked that control. Liked being. Better.

In the moment it was just. Have to go along. And not once did Vio think about betrayong Shadow for a while

What was maybe a few days, perhaps weeks in the light world, was probably years to vio. They were fully with the Dark for a majority of the time. Hence why Shadow came to trust ~~and love~~ them

There actually was a relationship formed somewhat. Though never adamant about it to each other i mean. They never said or verballt made things happen just. Became way more then friends without really thinking of it.

Shadow fell first, Vio fell after.

And Vio liked being in control so. Theres that. Vio likes to manipulate and Shadow made them feek good when they did it.

Things changed a few days before running into the others. Vio for once actually wanted to go against the Dark for once. Because of something that happened. Not with Shadow. But a little bit of Vaati being an ass, and Vio. Well. Being the cause of a death of someone. Which. Lead to anlot of confused morals and a very big breakdown. Maybe could manipulate and not give two fucks. But taking alife wasn't something they lacked empathy about. They were. Instantly confused.

Although they planned a betrayal and felt bad for shadow and how he wasnt seeing what they were planning- But. Vio wanted to take Shadow with them. They couldnt deny who they loved. They were gonna figure something out!

And then the other colors showed up. And Vio panicked. Thinking they didnt have enough time, so maybe if they broke the mirror they could-

But they got caught. And things spiraled

When the others took shadow down among the flames... Vio didn't help. Didnt want to hurt him.

When Shadow fully died. Vio couldnt accept that

When Ganon was finally dealt with (also au addition; they became "link" again for a few months. was incredibly unstable and eventually ran away with the sword and split again) Vio kind of. Instantly split from the others. Shut them out. Went to Dark magic, overused it, exhausted themself several times because thwy refused to give up... They spent 4 years trying to get him back. And they succeeded!! Except they did it behind the others backs. So when they brought Shadow back successfully! They. Hid that from the others. Because there was still... Some anger...

Shadow didnt like being betrayed. It was confusing and painful. The person he loved tried to kill him, and wouldnt explain the betrayal. Wouldnt.... He. It just. He didnt understand all he felt was pain. Maybe he broke the mirror, but he did it hoping Vio wouldnt show up. He wouldnt have to see the traitor- And he was confused when Vio, one of the mostly emotionslly dullest person he'd met actually cried when Shadow went

He didnt forgove him but he also didnt understand

When Vio brought him back. He was confused. He didnt know how to forgive Vio. But he also didnt know how to process how a hero of light completely gave away themself for him. They looked awful, havong not cared for themself, and just... He didnt wanna forgive but hw also never stopped loving.

It took months until he forgave Vio. And the other colors finally learnwd what Vio did... Which had many reactions considerinf. Vio's magic wasnt even light anymore. They corrupted themself far past what was safe did . So much...

They restarted as friends

it was hard to trust again. But Vio was patient with Shadow. Respecting him.... ~~not respecting themself though and ignoring own boundaries~~

Shadow still doesnt understand Vio because of how isolated they are with feelings but. Vio trusts them. And he learned to trust them again.

Anyways theyre toxic but also trying still

Vio basically relies on Shadow to an extent which isnt hwalthy but hah..... They uh. I didnt say they were ever healthy guys its uh its hard explain well lots ofninternal everythinf hard write out.
