finally watched Wednesday btw. gothic/poe vibes were off the charts but the love triangle was excruciating lmao
worst scene of the entire show was when Wednesday was fully prepared to investigate the monster with one of the few characters I actually believed she cared about (Eugene) but is somehow powerless to say no when Thing sets her up on a date with a boy to go to the school dance
like… I guess she goes along with it because she supposedly likes Tyler? but it felt so unbelievable. real Wednesday would’ve told them both to f*ck off and gone monster hunting with her friend lol
anyway, overall I really liked it! but I hope they drop the romances next season, or at least give her a more suitable love interest
#I don’t always like it when ppl interpret every platonic friendship as romantic#but I agree that enid would make a better love interest than xavier or tyler#they were just both so boring!! at least give her an INTERESTING boyfriend if she’s gotta have one#I feel like it’s more dynamic if her love interest is super upbeat and dorky as a contrast to her sullen vibes#which is why enid fits better#but both tyler and xavier were so one note#wednesday (2022)#personal#empress watches a popular show for once

[Forewarning: This is not a funny Incorrect Quote. Apologies in advance.]
Two people in very familiar room, having a very familiar conversation.
Enid: I can’t believe I’m actually going to miss your creepy, lifeless eyes waking me up. It won’t be the same without you.
Wednesday: So I assume you’ll be moving in with Yoko. Leaving me in the past.
Enid: Not ever. What about you? Will you—
Enid’s throat catches, an action that earns a blank stare from Wednesday.
Enid: Will you forget about me?
Wednesday: Enid… the mark you have left on me is indelible.
At that last word, a flicker of emotion ripples across Enid’s face. It goes unnoticed by the speaker.
Wednesday: Anytime I grow nauseous at the sight of a rainbow or hear a pop song that makes my ears bleed, I’ll think of you.
Enid: *stares at Wednesday*
Wednesday: E-Enid?
Something fractures in Wednesday’s demeanor as soon as the syllables leave her lips. As if, in this moment, they don’t fit, and that incongruity ignites an intense anxiety at the edges of her being.
Enid: *blinks* Thanks. I guess.
The anxiety fades from Wednesday. Her face smooths. Her stance relaxes.
Wednesday: I always believed relying on other people to be a sign of weakness. That inevitably they would lead…
— Later that night, in a room outside of the fabricated halls and too familiar rooms. —
Enid stands at a sink, having just washed the makeup from her face. She studies herself in the mirror, noting how her exhaustion only deepens the age lines. How without makeup, her scars from that night are barely visible, faded as they are by the years.
Pugsley: *clears his throat*
Enid: *turns* Hey, Pugsley.
Pugsley: Thank you again for this, Enid.
Enid: *nods mutely*
Pugsley: So uh, which day was it this time?
Enid: Just after the Crackstone incident. The day we left school. Indelible.
Pugsley: *winces* Oh. That’s why you— will you be okay?
Enid: *harshly* I’ll be fine.
A comforting hand settles on Enid’s shoulder. She looks up at the taller man. Her friend. Someone who should have been family.
Pugsley: Enid, you can’t blame yourself for this. It wasn’t your—
Enid: Can’t I? Wasn’t it? I rejected her, Pugsley. I did this to your sister. ME.
Pugsley: You didn’t know about the curse. She didn’t tell you. She didn’t tell anyone.
Enid: But I could’ve noticed! I was her best friend. When she got sick, I should have— especially once she started to forget things. When she started to forget me.
Enid: I— I should have believed her.
Enid is crying now. Through blurred vision she glares at the line of pale skin on her ring finger. A reminder of past decisions made. Of mistakes rectified too late.
Enid: *whispers* I should have believed her.
Pugsley watches his friend, wishing he could do more. He wishes that she would accept a hug. That she would not deny herself the comfort of friends, or the forgiveness of his family.
Pugsley: When you’re ready, there’s tea. Pubert already prepped the guest room, so please stay the night? Thing misses you, and his nails have seen better days.
Enid: *swallows* Y-Yeah, okay. Thank you.
With that, Pugsley leaves Enid to her sorrows. To memories that are no longer shared by the one who helped forge them. To hopes that feel abandoned. To quiet regret and indelible woe.

Not Enough?💔
Summary: you and Carl try and make friends and Ron gets jealous and says cruel things about you, will Carl protect you?
•Masterlist•
You’ve been friends with Carl since well forever, you were Shane’s daughter and when the apocalypse hit he took care of you Lori and Carl, and you’ve been inseparable from Carl since everything went awry
When your dad died you went into a deep depression but Carl was there he brought you back from that ache black pit of despair, and you did the same for him when he had to kill his mom
But now you were all finally in a safe place, well as safe as things could get in a world where there were brain dead people trying to rip your flesh to shreds
Everyone had stayed in two houses next door to eachother, you chose to stay with Daryl, Rick michonne Judith and Carl in the first house you all stayed in as the others moved over to the other house
You were sitting in your room, which was right next to carls when there was a knock
“Come in”
The door opened and it was Carl
“Hey wanna go talk to some of the kids of the town, try and fit in a bit” he asked leaning against the frame
“Sure” you said as you got up and you both left the house
You were walking around town when you saw a few of them you learned to be Ron, Enid and some others
“Hey guys, mind if we join?” Carl asked as we approached
“Sure we were just talking about our first kisses” Enid said laughing
You sat down with them as they continued around the small circle until it got to you
“Well aren’t you gonna tell us?” Ron asked kinda pushy
“Ummm” you looked at Carl nervous so he spoke for you
“We were each others first kiss, I mean we’ve known eachother since birth it was bound to happen” he said laughing off the jitters
You and Carl weren’t offical, you guys never discussed anything but you both knew there were feelings, strong feelings between eachother that ran deep
You both looked at Ron as he scoffed he looked disgusted but honestly kinda jealous for some reason
“Really? You kissed her, even in the apocalypse that’s pretty desperate” your chest felt tight at his words
“What the hell do you mean?” Carl asked you could hear in his tone he was fuming
“Dude come on, she’s not easy to look at, Enid is way prettier” Ron said laughing right at you
You got up and ran back to the house sitting on the porch, that heavy feeling weighing on your chest as you felt that burning in your throat rising as you tried to hold back the tears that inevitably fell down your checks……and they kept coming
You had never really been insecure, growing up with Carl and his reassuring words and the sweet people you grew up around made you feel good, made you feel like you were enough but that all changed when you came to Alexandria
You saw the way Enid looked at Carl and that’s how you started to compare yourself to her, the way she looked, her nose, her body it all came like a blow to you since you never really experienced envy before
As you were deep in that mind numbing toxic state Carl came up to you on the porch stairs as sat beside you as he rubbed your back soothingly
“He’s an ass, don’t listen to him, he’s just jealous”
“Jealous? Jealous of what, he’s right Enid is way better why waste your time with me” you sighed as you looked up at Carl
His heart broke seeing your red puffy face
“Y/n what are you talking about you’re beautiful, you know you’re the only one for me, with your h/c, and your gorgeous e/c eyes, and how you’ve always been my number one supporter through everything”
“Really?”
“Of course I…..I love you y/n, more than anything so stop worrying no one can compare to you” he said brushing you hair back behind your ear
Your heart speed up feeling like it was gonna burst
“I love you too Carl, always”
After that you slowly realized you’re beautiful in your own way and stopped comparing yourself to Enid, and Carl made sure to show you how beautiful you really are

you fit me better than my favourite sweater
pairing: wednesday addams x fem!reader
summary: you and Wednesday end up stranded in the middle of the lake
words: 3.954k
warnings: mentions fear of drowning, swearing, bad writing
author notes: this has been in my drafts for a fat minute and i completely forgot about it ngl
"It won't be that bad, I mean any idiot can do it." You say as you meticulously enter the canoe, gripping at the sides with a God strong as the tiny wooden boat rocked from side to side.
"Any idiot can, but you're the most idiotic person I've ever met." Wednesday grumbled as she swiftly sat across from you, entering the canoe much more gracefully than you.
You grinned as you carefully grabbed the oars from the bottom of the boat, carefully sticking them through the small holes on the side of the boat.
"At least that makes me memorable." You remarked.
Wednesday shook her head as she leaned over to push the boat away from the small dock, the boat wobbling as it caused small ripples in the water.
You sighed as you messily began moving the oars in and out of the water, the canoe moving slowly.
"Row. Row. Row." Wednesday uttered in a deadpan tone, her eyes glued to the lake. You rolled your eyes as you moved the oars with all of your strength. "Could you be any more uplifting?" You mumbled sarcastically as you unconsciously gripped at the oars tighter.
There was an actual reason behind the entire situation of you and your friend-not so friend- Wednesday going canoeing at a late hour.
You couldn't swim, an embarrassing fact but unfortunately true, you simply couldn't. Whenever you had lessons as a kid you never could float and would always manage to have at least one or more near drowning incidents.
You tried for months but never got the hang of it, eventually you just accepted the fact you're not a swimmer.
That was something Enid was afraid of.
Ever since the Black Cats won for the first time in decades in the Poe Cup, Enid wanted to make sure they stayed champions.
To make matters worse Yoko said she didn't want to participate this year due to getting poisoned over the entire race last year.
That's how Enid ended up asking you to which you agreed but disagreed at the same time. You would do it, but you couldn't swim. So if their boat broke, you’d be fucked.
Enid took that a 'yes with some minor technicalities' and somehow managed to convince Wednesday to take you out to canoeing. If you could canoe like a pro then that would help the team and decrease the risk of the boat going down.
You agreed to it whereas the goth was very reluctant to go canoeing with you. Enid thought it was because Wednesday didn’t do people and would loathe having to communicate with someone if she didn’t gain anything from it.
Thinking about it, it was partially true but you know the real reason why Wednesday doesn’t want to be alone with you.
She didn’t trust herself.
A few weeks back you and the local goth had a situationship going on; Wednesday being the one who started it and tried ending it on multiple occasions. She’d drag you into the closest, the dark corners of the library, empty classrooms, her dorm room, your dorm room and even the forest at one point to make out with you.
Each time she claimed it was a one time kiss and she was simply trying something new, but then the very next day those slender fingers were wrapped possessively around your wrist and dragging you towards the closest empty room.
You’ve been in love with the goth for a while which meant you greedily complied with her wishes and did whatever she wanted, like a dog to its owner.
She wanted to make out because she didn’t do as good on a test, you’re there for her. She wanted to learn what a hickey is, you’re more than welcome to show her and guide her. She says it’s the final time, you give her the fakest smile and agree with her.
Self respect? Who was she?
It had been a week ever since yours and Wednesday last kiss and she was avoiding you like the plague. It hurt but you didn’t really expect anything else to happen.
That’s why when Enid asked the psychic to go canoeing with you, you were more than happy whereas Wednesday was reluctant. But nobody could say no to Enid's puppy's eyes; that's how you ended up rowing slowly while Wednesday sat there comfortably watching you.
"If I did it would physically pain me." Wednesday quipped as she sat there with her incredibly straight posture, glaring at you.
"You don't wanna be my personal cheerleader? If you were, you'd have to say 'but I'm a cheerleader' at least once." You said with a giggle, moving further into the lake as you moved one oar quicker than the other.
You knew Wednesday didn't understand the joke as she observed you. "You're not amusing nor comedic, Y/n. I'd rather talk to a brick wall and I guarantee it would still be more interesting than you."
You barked out a laugh at her comment, not taking it to heart, it's the one thing you've learned ever since she started dragging you into every isolated room to make out with you.
"Bricks can be pricks." You joked as you rowed further and further, starting to get tired even though you had only been doing it for a few minutes. "When can we have swapsies? I've proved I can row so it's all good."
"I can swim and row like a professional, I also brought the Black Cats to victory the previous year. I do not need to row, you do." Wednesday said with her tone bordering on bragging.
"I get it." You sigh as you keep rowing. "You've seen how good I am at it and don't wanna embarrass yourself."
Wednesday's head snapped towards yours with a sharp look. You smirked as you looked down, your arms flexing as you rowed.
"Good? If you think that is good then you're destined to make us lose the poe cup." The ravenette barked out, this was the reaction you were expecting.
You shrugged your shoulders as you smiled innocently at her. "It's fine, Wednesday. I get it, I'm weirdly good at some things."
Wednesday didn't say anything for a moment. Her eyes trailing your face before they moved to glance at the oars.
You heard the girl let out a small grunt before she looked back at you. "Fine. Switch positions with me."
Pride flooded you instantly as you managed to convince the stubborn girl to do something. Feeling much more confident than you had in the beginning, without thinking you abruptly stood up to allow Wednesday to sit where you were sitting at.
As you stood up Wednesday's eyes widened dramatically as her eyes gazed towards your hands, grip loosening on the oars.
As if it was slow motion Wednesday watched as the further you stood up, the weaker your grip got on the oars.
"Do not let go of the oars!" Wednesday yelled at you the very moment you stood up completely straight, your grip on the oars vanished.
Splash
You nor Wednesday moved. Completely frozen.
You slowly eyed the space where the oars used to be, you swallowed nervously as you felt eyes on you. Averting Wednesday's gaze you slowly sat back down, the canoe drumming side to side momentarily.
"I told you specifically to not let go of the oars." Wednesday snapped in a harsh voice, breaking the silence of the night.
You winced at her harsh tone that you couldn't blame her for. "I'm so sorry, Wednesday."
Wednesday shook her head as she looked away from you, as if disgusted by the sight of you.
"Enid is the one who suggested it." You reminded her quickly, not wanting to face the wrath of Wednesday Addams alone in an isolated place. You’re not the brightest bulb but you still shine.
"And you're an imbecile for agreeing with Sinclair to do this, Y/n." Wednesday hissed through gritted teeth, her arms crossed over her chest as she glared at you.
You rolled your eyes as you waved your arms dramatically. "Not my fault, Wednesday. Enid asked me a question that for the sake of my life I couldn't lie about."
The goth shook her head aimlessly, looking away from you with a clenched jaw. "Should've lied."
"You also agreed to help so it's partially your fault too!" You defended with a smug smile, one that Wednesday did not appreciate.
"It's because of you and your tomfoolery and laziness we're stuck in the middle of the lake with no oars for the canoe!"
Yeah it was most definitely your fault.
"Well I'm sorry Wednesday but you're gonna have to just jump into the water, grab the boat and swim us to shore."
Wednesday's eyebrows lifted in utter disbelief. "I'm not swimming." She stated flatly.
"Wait, my phone, duh!" You said excitedly as you removed your phone from the pocket of your hoodie, smiling hopefully as you checked your phone.
Your smile faded as you noticed there was no signal. Fucking perfect, you thought bitterly to yourself .
"No signal." You told her, shoving your phone back into your pocket with a huff.
"Shocker, I would've never presumed that a cellular device would be useless in a situation of emergency." She snarked out, crossing her arms again in her short sleeve black t-shirt.
"Emergency?! Oh my fuck are we gonna die? Cause I'm not having 'DIED BY SITTING IN A CANOE' on my gravestone."
The raven haired girl who looked visibly more relaxed than you glanced over towards the dock. "We'll just have to wait here until either Enid comes looking for us or someone else passes."
Your eyes widened dramatically as you stared at her in disbelief. The plan didn't sound fun, good or reliable.
"What if it takes hours?"
"Then we will sit here for hours." She answered, her eyes returning to meet with yours.
"Oh fun." You retorted with a roll of your eyes. "So, since it's just the two of us, is this going to turn into a childhood trauma kinda talk or gossip talk?"
Wednesday glowered at you with her iconic death stare, you sighed. I'll take that as a silent kinda talk then, you thought to yourself.
Your eyes gazed over Wednesday's face which was turned to look at the dock, her already sharp jaw pulled into an even tighter clench.
You managed to stay utterly silent for what felt like a full hour (but was really only five minutes) before you finally cracked, your knuckles white from the grip you still had on the plank you're sitting on.
"So, how've you been?" You asked gingerly to the goth. Wednesday didn't spare you a glance as she replied.
"I'm currently stranded in the middle of the lake with the absolute dunce of a human being." She snarled, her cold eyes meeting yours once again.
"I'll take that as good?" You joked as you purse your lips, hoping you could make light of the pretty shitty situation.
"You're infuriating."
You sighed as you glared at Wednesday, you were trying to be nice and making the situation better but she was not helping it at all. "Thanks." You grumbled sarcastically.
Yes it was a not so good situation, yes it was your fault, yes you felt bad about it. But you felt like Wednesday didn't have to dig into you that much, you wouldn't mind as much if you knew she was joking. But you knew her well enough to know she was utterly serious.
The more minutes passed the more bored you got. Wednesday was refusing to look at you whereas all you could stare at was her side profile.
Your fear of not being able to swim started to gnaw away at the deep pit of your stomach.
"I very much doubt Enid will notice we're stranded due to the fact she's spending the night at Yoko's tonight." Wednesday suddenly announced, the feeling of fear intensifying as you realised the odds of you sleeping on this canoe over night was growing.
"What time is it?" You asked her quickly.
She glanced at the watch on her wrist briefly before she glimpsed at you. "It's nine in the evening, and curfew is at nine." You gawked at her as the chances of you sleeping outside for the night increased significantly. "You sure you don't wanna go for a little swim?" You attempted one last night, in hopes Wednesday would agree.
"No."
You sighed as you nodded your head weakly, you're sleeping on water tonight.
Great.
"Alright if we're sleeping here overnight how are we doing it?"
"I will not be sleeping." Wednesday stated. "I'll stay on watch in case an individual passes."
"All night?" You asked with your eyebrows raised.
"Is your hearing damaged?" Wednesday replied dryly, her eyes boring into yours, you huffed as you averted her piercing eyes looking over at the sun slowly setting.
"At least it's warm, some might even say a hot summer night in mid July." You joked in a playful voice, turning your head to look at the beauty of the lake.
The sunset lightning up the dark lake with a shine that made it even more beautiful .
"Your obsession with that woman is odd." Your head snapped back to look at Wednesday, your jaw slackened as you gazed at her with shock.
Wednesday remembered you liked Lana Del Rey? More importantly, how did she even know it was a lyric from Lana Del Rey?
Without much thought you voiced your last question to the goth.
"How'd you even know I was talking about Lana Del Rey?" Wednesday blinked at you as she stayed silent, her eyes glued to yours as she tried to think of an answer. "You do nothing but extol her." She said in an affirmative tone, her fingers playing with the thick steel black ring Enid gifted for her many moons ago.
You tilted your head like a curious dog as your eyes narrowed on her fingers.
She was lying.
You weren't Wednesday level good at reading people, but you could always notice a tell when it was presented to you.
You hummed, looking back up at Wednesday's face with a smirk. "I talk about Lana and how good she is but from my knowledge I've never actually sung her song in front of you before. Matter of fact, I don't think I've even talked specifically about the lyrics of her songs with you before, probably with Enid but never you."
"I don't understand what you're trying to say." Wednesday questioned with threat lacing her words. “I’m just saying, how could you possibly know that line if you’ve never heard me say it before, ‘cause I know Enid is a K-Pop and Swiftie kinda girl, not a Lana one. And you’d never listen to such ‘pointless audios’ as you said, would you?”
“Terminology with celebrities is obtuse.” She said briskly, her eyes avoiding yours the exact way she was avoiding your words. You hummed as you nodded your head, smugness infiltrating your smile.
Silence filled the wooden canoe after that, Wednesday staying perfectly silent as she stayed perfectly still. Her main focus being the docks as she hoped someone would pass and help the two of you.
Thirty minutes passed and there was still no sign of life other than you and the raventte. With a long sigh you reconnected your eyes with Wednesday.
“We’re stuck here all night aren’t we?” You asked in a knowing tone.
Wednesday nodded her head curtly. “Yes we are.” You let out an exasperated breath as you ran your fingers through your hair. “Also, due to how this canoe is structured it would be impossible to lay down flat on the ground to sleep.”
You looked down at the boat as you tried figuring out any spot where you could sit down in any position and luckily you quickly found one.
Without saying anything you carefully pushed yourself off the small seat moving to sit at the bottom of the canoe. After a few moments of repositioning yourself with the boat rocking back forth gently you managed to find a semi comfortable position.
Your feet dangled off one edge of the boat while your neck rested on the edge of the opposite one, it wasn’t the most comfortable one but if you fell asleep your biggest worry would be a stiff neck and not drowning.
Grinning, you turned to look at the girl whose boots were only about half a metre away from your side. “You say impossible, I say possible.”
“I say irritating, you say humorous.” She remarked with a glare as she stared at you with her beautiful dead eyes.
“Well I’m the one who can sleep tonight if someone doesn't come get us.” You tell her with a smile before adding. “No shame if you came down to join me.”
“I would rather live for an eternity than lay with you.” She hisses through gritted making you let out a little giggle. “Whatever you say.”
Minutes passed as you and Wednesday stayed in silence, you gazing up at the sunset making the colour shine gorgeously as Wednesday gazed at your side profile.
After what felt like a century in silence you decided to put on your Spotify playlist that you downloaded to your phone, needing something to erase the booming silence.
Hitting on the playlist ironically the first song that played was ‘Young and Beautiful’ by Lana Del Rey; the song that had the infamous ‘hot summer nights, mid-July’. You had the DH Orchestral version downloaded.
As the song played in a low volume you heard a small rhythmic tapping from next to you. You turned your head to the side and to your surprise you noticed Wednesday was the culprit of the noise.
She was now gazing off in the sunset like you were doing earlier as her fingers moved against her thigh going along with the beats of the song.
Wednesday listened to Lana Del Rey because of you.
You didn't comment on it; simply admiring her with a small smile until the song finished, another random Lana Del Rey song playing soon after.
The goth must've felt eyes on her as she snapped her head back into your direction, locking eyes with you as she tilted her head slightly to the side.
She didn't say anything and neither did you. The two of you sat in silence as you gazed at each other; the two of you having a glint of love in each other's eyes, but neither of you would comment on it.
Somehow an hour had managed to pass as the sun was almost entirely gone, only a small arch left warming you up.
“Do you think we’ll tip over if we go to sleep?” You voice up slightly nervously as you stare at the wooden canoe. “I will not be sleeping so I’ll make it won't happen.”
“Wait, you were serious about not going to sleep?” Wednesday stiffly nods her head as her posture still remains as straight as ever while sitting up.
“I never lie.” She tells you.
You bite your tongue into not saying anything that might annoy the goth since you know damn well she lies. She’s lied to you many times when preaching your sessional kisses were only a ‘one time thing’ for each one.
You sigh as you glance up at Wednesday, nodding your head. “Okay, I'll stay up with you.”
“There is no need, Y/n. You may fall asleep if needed.” Wednesday insists with a shake of her head.
“Don't be ridiculous, Wends, I’m not letting you stay awake all night alone while we’re trapped in the middle of the lake.” You reply in a tone that indicates you're not going to debate with her about it.
The goth sighs as she reluctantly nods her head in agreement. “Fine, whatever.” She mumbles not making eye contact with you as she twisted her body to the side slightly, her brows furrowed ever slightly telling you she's in slight pain.
You don't say anything as you lean forward and take off your hoodie before laying it flat on the bottom of the canoe as the end of your hoodie reaches the tips of Wednesday's boots.
“If your back hurts you need to lay down for a while.” You say making her look back at you with her eyebrows even more furrowed.
“I’m an Addams, we thrive on pain.” Wednesday answered as if that explained anything. You rolled your eyes as you tapped at your thigh meekly.
“Okay, fine you love pain and shit. But if it gets too much you're more than welcome to lay down, I wouldn't shame you or tell anyone.” You reply with a soft smile as Wednesday scoffed at your words, not verbally replying.
You didn't say anything as you looked away, glancing over at the dark lake as the sun had officially set. The only light being gifted being the pale moonlight; glistening the water just as softly as the sun did.
Five minutes passed before you heard small shuffling from Wednesday’s side of the small boat, you didn't look over at her as you gazed off into the water.
Wordlessly, you can hear Wednesday slowly move to the bottom of the canoe as she quietly moves up closer to you, laying her head on your lap as she laid straight on her back.
Your hoodie under her body definitely made it more comfortable for her, something that filled you with pride.
You look down at Wednesday to see her already looking up at you, her eyes seeming softer as they glinted from the moonlight.
“You’re so pretty.” You whisper out to her moving to lay an arm over her stomach to try to give her as much body warmth as you could.
Wednesday blinked for the first time as she never broke contact with you, stiffly moving to lay a hand over the one you had on her stomach.
“You're pulchritudinous, Y/n. Not only on the surface level but also inside.” You tilted your head confused at what she just called you, laughing nervously.
“I’m what?” You ask her, resulting in her rolling her eyes as a soft red shade of colour attacked her ears.
“Beautiful, Y/n, it means beautiful.” Wednesday answers make you blush as a nervous smile forms on your lips.
Admiring her as you run a hand through her soft bangs, not surprisingly they fall right back into place as if you never touched them when you pull away.
As her dark eyes locked with your eyes you couldn't help but let out a breathless laugh, the look in her eyes and the look you know you have in your eyes telling her everything.
“I don't want to make it a one time thing.” You confess as you lay your hand near her head. “I don't want it to only be secret kisses, Wednesday. I want you. I want everyone to know how much I love you.”
For the first time in your life you see Wednesday smile; not smirk, but a true and genuine soft, small smile.
Gracefully she grabs your hand that was on her stomach as she lifts it to her lips pressing a kiss to your knuckles making you blush at her actions.
As she held your hand she refused to pull them away from her lips, you could feel her breath tickle your skin gently as she whispered the words you have been waiting weeks to hear.
“I love you too.”

Big boom
Summary: in which your big bad wolf girlfriend has a terrible fear of storms.
A/N: Masterlist, make request here my friends🫶🏻
Warning: my writing
Enid Sinclair X fem!reader
You read across the pages in your book as the sound of the hard pounding of rain hits the roof above you. A bright light flashes across the open pages soon to be followed by a loud crack that almost shakes the school.
You were one of those people who enjoyed the storms, the way the rain is a perfect back ground noise to read to. It was even better at night time, when it would light up the sky and you could see the entire bolt of lightening strike.
Usually, the sound would lull you to sleep, the soft patters of the rain and the noise of the constant thunder but those thoughts were gone when you knew you would soon be accompanied by your girlfriend and you had to force yourself to stay awake for her sake.
She was, for some reason, afraid of storms. Especially big ones like these. Why? You didn’t know to be honest, especially with her being a large werewolf. But then again her personality didn’t exactly fit a beast of night that could tear your limb from limb if it chose to.
You had gotten lucky because you’re roommate decided to stay with her boyfriend on the night you knew your girlfriend would need you the most on.
You let a small smile rest on your face as another round of lights brighten up your room, imagining the sight of how she would hurry her steps into an almost sprint as soon as the thunder followed.
You think of all the past times she had come running to your room for comfort after her roommate had forced her away, threatening to use her as an experiment to test how lightening truly works.
You had always thought Wednesday to be an exotic person but you didn’t really like her threatening your girlfriend so often so you had just told her to come here instead.
Right on cue, the door is almost yanked open causing you to look up from your book to see a soaking wet Enid who was shaking and you weren’t sure if it was the fear or rain.
She wore her usual purple pajama pants and fluffy light pink sweat shirt that were now soaking wet, making her really look like a wet dog. You wouldn’t be surprised if she smelled like one.
“Aht!” You call out as she immediately makes her way to you once she slams the door shut behind her. She stops in her tracks just in time to hit the end of your rug, a pout evident on her face.
You stand from your bed and laugh at the grabby hands she makes at you, clearly impatient to get a hold of you. “Shoes.” You say, eyeing the muddy boots before going to your closet and pulling out a pair of sweat pants and a sweat shirt she would undoubtably take as her own. You make sure to stand just out of her reach when you walk over toward her.
She lets out a huff before sitting down and going to untie said muddy boots. Just as she finishes taking off one a loud crack snaps across the sky making her jump slightly as her hands become hurried.
“Big boom, big boom, big boom.” She mumbles to herself as she skillfully yanks her shoes off, standing up and taking the clothes you hold out to her. You smile to yourself as you watch her and her quiet little chant.
“Go dry off and get dressed.” you say with a small smile as your girlfriend gapes at you.
She glances toward the dark bathroom then back to you, her frown deepening. She doesn’t get the chance to protest once a light flashes across your room, now with a sudden eagerness to get into bed and close to you. You let out a quiet chuckle before making your way back to bed and lying down, keeping your blanket open so the girl could have easy access.
It’s not even five minutes before Enid comes rushing out of the bath room. You smile and open your arms to her and she doesn’t waste another second to get into them.
You let out a laugh as your head hits your pillow roughly, Enid already entangled within you; her legs tangle with yours, arms wrapped around you tightly and head tucked into its usual place in your neck. She’s still shaking as she lets out a long sigh of relief and you frown. It wasn’t often it stormed here but when it did, she would always end up like this. You didn’t like it.
Yes, she was very clingy at these times, not wanting to let go and very whiny but she was always like there. Clingy, wanting to touch you, never leaving your side but these times were different. She was also terrified of the sounds and sights. Her body would jolt every time thunder sounded out and she would try to bury herself in you.
(You remember the very first time she came to your room, she tried to and successfully crawled into your shirt and stayed there the entire night with you.)
“Poor baby,” you say, rubbing across her back as she lets out a quiet whimper trying to press more into you. “I know, it’s so scary.”
You reach your hand up and scratch her scalp. That along with you rubbing her back makes her visibly relax a little more and she lets a small smile rest on her face that smooshed against your shoulder.
She takes in a deep breath, your scent calming her even more as the storm continues.
“You’re warm.” She states with a shaky breath as her hands find their way under your shirt to warm themselves.
You let out a laugh from both her comment and the sudden ticklish feeling. “I figured with how cold you are right now.”
“It was the stupid storm.” She grumbles, flinching slightly as the thunder roars in response. You sigh and continue rubbing her back and scratching her scalp as you watch out the window.
You watch as the rain continues to patter against your window, never slowing down as the little droplets race each other down the glass only to be met with breaking off and forming a little puddle at the end.
It reminded you of Enid when she raced her to get passed the storm quickly, let’s out all of her fear then forms into a small puddle under your hold.
She was like a puppy learning about something scary for first time expect she always comes back in fear of the same thing instead of facing it.
Not that your complained.
A rather loud boom sounds out and shakes the castle a little more than usual. The sound makes Enids claws come out and knic you slightly before they disappear immediately.
“I’m sorry!” She states, soothing out the cat like scratches on your sides. The worry clear in her voice and face as she lifts it slightly to look down as the barely bleed marks.
“It’s okay, really.” You say and you grab the sides of her face and bring her into a soft kiss that escalates a pure out of her. The electrical feeling buzzing through you like a sudden chill and you thrive off the feeling.
Every since finding out you were her mate she had too thrived off your shared kisses. Thrived off you in general. Your soft touches, the way your eyes would look for and meet hers in the halls, the way your warmth would leave tingles on her skin after leaving the bed together.
Everything about you made her more and more obsessed with you, and she loved it along with you. It had also seemed to calm her down even more.
She leans in and takes another kiss for herself, then another which pulls a giggle out of you which makes her want more.
It’s her turn to grab the sides of your face as she begins kissing all over, any thoughts of the storm raging outside gone and the only ones there are the ones who want to hear you laugh.
She starts with your cheeks, then moves to your nose then your head, becoming more gentle as she moves down to your eyes then back to your cheeks.
Your smile continues to grow as her kisses slow down, leaving softer ones in her wake before leaning back to look at her work. Disappointment fills her face as she remembers she’s not wearing lip stick. The sudden reality hits as thunder hits again making her stiffen up a bit.
“Would you like me to read to you? Until you fall asleep at least.” You ask pulling away slightly and she nods, giving you another soft kiss on your lips before going back to her place on your neck, eager to hear your voice to distract her from the storm.
You reach for your book that had fallen onto the floor after Enid jumped into your bed with you but it’s just out of your reach. You let out a quiet huff before looking down to Enid who continued to stay in her spot.
“Maybe a little help?” You ask, hand out reaching for the book as you look down at her. Her eyes peek from your shoulder to see the book and just how out of reach it was.
She then reaches out and takes the book with ease, even in her odd position, before handing it to you and going back into her spot before it got to cold.
You smile lightly before opening the book where you set the book mark and continuing where you left off, reading the words out loud in a soft voice you knew would lull your girlfriend in a calmer state as she begins setting small kisses on your neck.
After what you knew was at least forty five minutes of Enid just listening to you, adding her own sleepy commentary in the process and you listening to her breath. Her kisses become less frequent and her breath eventually evens out into quiet snores.
Your smile grows as you close the book quietly and reach to put it on your bed side table before clicking your lap off.
You settle into a more comfortable position and just watch her for a few minutes, brushing the stray hairs on her face to reveal the scar she had received last year.
A let out a small sigh before leaning over and place a kiss across the scar and settle back into your place as you wrap your arms around her tighter and close your eyes, ready to finally fall asleep.
“Goodnight, you big puppy.” You mumble before drifting off into your own dreamless sleep.
A/N: it’s a little short cause I’m tired but I still like it🥲

“Saturday Day Pilgrim World -Pt 2”
Hunter walked up to the main gate carrying his stilts
Xavier: hey! I love your stunt work especially with stilts!
Hunter: thank you. I love that I get to showcase my stilt work on this show. Are you part of the crew or Pilgrim World?
Xavier: No. my friends are inside but I can’t get in. They left me out here. Can you tell them I’m with you?
Hunter: sorry. No. We were given strict instructions. I can ask Tom if you like? He’s in charge of everything
Xavier: thanks. But you don’t have to go that far
Hunter entered and saw Harley and Wednesday outside the coffee shop with a few shop workers tasting coffees
Harley: hey, Hunny! You should join us. Get to know your coffee, grumpy barista
Hunter: I’m allergic to coffee actually -chuckling-
Harley: seriously?
Hunter: yeah. It sucks because I can’t even enjoy chocolate cake in some places because when I ask if they put coffee in it which I know is common to enhance flavor they won’t divulge their “secret” even though I tell them I’m allergic
Harley: that’s rude
Hunter: oh. Wednesday? There’s a guy outside? He asked if I could get him in? He says his friends are inside?
Wednesday: Xavier Thorpe
Hunter: any relation to Vincent Thorpe? His psychic shows are a gas
Wednesday: his son. He thinks I’m his boyfriend
Harley: so annoying. I understand the pain. Everyone else knows you’re in a relationship with Enid?
Wednesday: yes. Even her ex boyfriend keeps telling him to get over me
Harley: ever since I did that film Season of Love? With Jackson? People have been shipping us. It’s so annoying and worse that he plays up to it. Press was horrible. He had to be with me for everything. Gads, the Silver Shard awards were the worst. I was the nominee but he kept creeping behind me during my interviews. At the SpinTastic Photo Booth he kept touching me
Hunter: don’t you have a girlfriend?
Harley: I don’t really share that publicly. Why?
Hunter: oh. At the table reading. Your phone was turned up. You had left for the loo. A text notification went off. You’re Lock Screen was pink with black text “insert cute photo of girlfriend” and the text was from girlfriend or is that a joke?
Harley: -laughing- no, it real. It’s no secret that I support a lot of LGBTQ. We just try not to have our private lives public. I don’t think anyone even suspects us to even be together. It’s been reported that I’ve been in relationships with some of my female co stars before but not my actual girlfriend
Enid: -emerging with some more coffee- I totes overheard that. Sounds like you have an “Xavier problem” too.
Mr Burton and Ms Rowling walked by arguing about the wardrobe
Mr Burton: Rainbow Honeysuckle? Oh absolutely NOT!
Ms Rowling: it’s perfect for Helen. And this project needs some color. I didn’t go cliché with Apollo being Apollo by making him Perseus. Besides, the costume is made. Harley just need to try it on for a final fitting
They continued on their way
Wednesday: what the fuck?
Harley: yeah. Ms Rowling is still trying to brighten up the script after you made the mods. Apparently she went to the costume department on her own to come up with the Halloween costumes. Helen’s grim reaper was too dark
Hunter: don’t worry. Tom and the rest of us have embraced Hela.
Wednesday: that scene. Show up in your own clothes. The darker the better. Your baggy hobo style fits. Costume? Serial killer. They look like everyone else.
Harley and Hunter laughed.
Enid: Oh! And Wednesday just that once! Didn’t bother with a ‘costume’. Her mom showed me old photos. But Wednesday? Did you catch the costume for Apollo? Isn’t that the character based on Ajax?
Wednesday: yes. He has to know that I had no part in that selection
Hunter: I know Nevermore is a school for outcasts. What kind are y’all? And what is Ajax that makes Perseus so funny?
Enid: Well, I’m a werewolf, Wednesday is a psychic and Ajax is a gorgon
Harley: -snickering- oh dear. Wait! I got an idea for Hela’s costume if I can find stuff in time otherwise the serial killer works. La Llorona
Wednesday: I approve

Hi, don't know if you're still accepting requests. But if you are I have a really long one.
I was thinking about a Wednesday Addams x fem psychic reader (possibly masc), where the reader is like an investigation partner for Wednesday. (I don't know if you want to give some more backstory)
The reader is obviously crushing hard on Wednesday and compliments her, in very Addams way, every chance she gets. And when it's time for Rave'n, the reader just says fuck it and asks Wednesday. And they're matching (all black obviously).
So when it starts raining blood and everyone starts screaming, the reader puts on a waltzer (midnight waltz, Adam Hurst) and asks Wednesday to dance like:
"May I have this dance, cara mia?"
And they just waltz in the bloody ballroom.
It would really make my gay heart happy, thank you in advance.
I gotchu bestie, don't even worry about it 😎
the show must go on
“You look preposterously gloomy,” you said when Wednesday finally stopped looking for more clues about the Hyde. “It suits you.”
This whole Hyde thing was really starting to wear Wednesday down, you could tell. Weeks and weeks of trying to figure out the mystery and she still wasn’t much closer to figuring it out. You had offered your assistance instantly, of course, but two minds most certainly were not better than one.
At least it gave you an excuse to flirt. Which you may have learned from her father on Parents’ Weekend. After he had gotten out of jail. Maybe you needed a better role model.
“We can keep an eye on the cave tomorrow night,” Wednesday said with a huff. You knew she didn’t take defeat well, but this was starting to get downright comical.
“Tomorrow night is the Rave’N,” you pointed out when you followed behind her on your way out of the woods.
She didn’t answer, leading you to let out your own huff. You had wanted to do this with some sort of dignity, but it appeared she wasn’t going to let you. Why would she, you thought with a roll of your eyes. She wouldn’t be Wednesday Addams if she gave you an easy time.
“The Hyde has to appear at some point,” Wednesday finally said as you neared campus. “And I plan on being there when it does.”
“I doubt it would show during the Rave’N,” you mumbled. Wednesday either didn’t hear you, or didn’t care. “We might as well do something that would make us miserable.”
Now that made the young Addams pull up short. With minimal effort at best, you suppressed a smile when she turned to look at you. It was one that you received far too often, one that dared you to continue and see what would happen. A beautiful look, it was; you would do anything to see it more often.
“What would that be?” Anyone else would have missed the hint of a smile on her lips. But not you. No, not you.
“You might as well accompany me to the Rave’N,” you answered. “I guarantee it’ll be positively frightful.”
She didn’t give you a response of any kind before continuing her walk back to her dorm. Oh what a wonderful thing to be around an Addams. It was never boring.
As predicted, Wednesday's silence on the matter had been a resounding yes. She was already looking stunning in her black vintage dress when you stopped by her dorm to pick her up. No smile, no words, just the silent understanding that she wasn't excited, but that's what was going to make it so much fun.
"You look ghastly," you said with a smile as you slipped the corsage over Wednesday’s wrist.
“You match!” Enid practically shouted when she saw you at the door. “Have you always had that suit?”
“It was my father’s,” you said with a smile. “Fits like a glove, wouldn’t you say?”
“Do a spin for me,” Enid said, and you were more than happy to oblige.
You could feel Wednesday glaring into your very soul as you spun slowly, your arms outstretched so Enid could ooh and ah as much as she wanted. There was one point where Enid even came up and started adjusting your tie - horribly, you thought with a contained giggle - and you thought Wednesday was going to murder her. To you, it just made her all the more beautiful; nothing was more beautiful than a woman scorned.
“We should get going,” you said once you had finished enjoying Wednesday’s silent rage. “We’ll see you down there, Enid.”
With outstretched arm, Wednesday took it and let you walk her down to the dance. She still had yet to say anything for that night, but you didn’t mind. Her father had told you time and time again how she was a woman of few words, and that was okay. It was very Wednesday of her, especially given the fact you knew she wasn’t exactly stoked to be going.
The dance was already in full swing by the time you both appeared; nothing was better than being fashionably late. You shared a single look with Wednesday - who looked like she would rather die than be there - before dragging her to the dancefloor. She was going to enjoy the night even if it killed her.
If she was lucky, it would.
“Your dancing is mesmerising,” you told her once she stepped back in front of you. Still no smile, but there was a twinkle in her eye that betrayed her outward unhappiness.
You opened your mouth to make another comment when you felt something drip onto your shoulder. Wednesday’s eyes darted to your shoulder before she furrowed her brows. Another drop, this time on Wednesday’s cheek. Red?
Before you knew it, the sprinklers went off and something with the appearance and consistency of blood was falling from the ceiling. For the first time that night, Wednesday smiled, a beautifully bloody grin. Whether it was from the blood rain, the screams of everyone around you, or the general chaos, you didn’t care. She looked stunning.
“One moment,” you told her as you got an idea.
You nearly slipped a few times on your way to the DJ table, but thankfully Wednesday was too distracted by the chaos to notice. The DJ himself was nowhere to be found, but that was alright; you knew how to hook your phone up to the speakers. It took only a moment to connect and another moment to put the song on before you could slide your way back over to where Wednesday was standing.
As soon as the waltz came on, her head turned to you, her smile now gone and replaced with a look of curiosity. None of that animosity she had shown earlier in the night. No, this was a genuine look from her, her emotions unmasked for the first time since you had known her.
“May I have this dance, cara mia?” You asked as you held your hand out for her to take.
Just like that, realisation dawned in her eyes as her smile came back. She took your hand and let you pull her into the waltz, the blood making your movements a little smoother. If you both slipped once or twice you didn’t call attention to it; it didn’t matter.
In the chaos, you found the beauty in being with an Addams. It was horrifying, and you wouldn’t have it any other way.

—————————
Wednesday Addams.
Her name was a statement in and of itself, an alluring force to be reckoned with. She was known to be an emotionless, dull, gruesome individual who didn’t give two shits about anyone or anything.
You met her in sophomore year at Nevermore, in botany class. Sitting two seats to the right and one seat up, she was definitely something— her posture straight as a board and her stare just as hard; she had what your dad called “omph”.
Now that “omph” she had, caught your attention; Wednesday was incredibly attractive, her features being almost perfect in your eyes. Someone had told you once that love at first sight wasn’t real, just a fairy tale told by your parents to make you feel better about your future; but when you saw Wednesday, that whole perspective changed.
She made your heart run a mile a minute, your breath hitch at her presence, your stomach fluttering with butterflies as she spoke; she had you wrapped around her finger and she didn’t even know it.
Or did she?
See, Wednesday was someone who hated love, the whole concept of it. Her parents sappiness and public affections had pushed down all of the complexities she could have acquired; instead she is an empty, black canvas.
But for some odd reason, that canvas was changing. Bursts of color had begun to appear, in rapid strokes that splattered around the whole expanse; a painting was being formed within the depths of her heart.
Wednesday was no fool to attraction, she was aware of the feeling. There have been many guys and girls who have caught her eye for a second longer than most, but she’s never been interested in pursuing them. Dating seemed like a waste of time to her, and she could never see herself as being someone else’s girlfriend.
That was until she met you.
You.
You were quite the ubiquitous person, always awake and present whenever anyone spoke to you. A smile was almost always etched onto your face, small dimples could be seen on your cheeks when you grinned.
Wednesday liked your smile, it was a refreshing sight for her. She sometimes would catch herself just gazing at you, her black eyes droopy and hazy as she soaked in the sunny glow you produced; you were her muse.
Soon she realized she was hooked, infatuated with your presence. Your poise and posture was well kept and strong, something that got Wednesday’s heart to stutter, and you were very very serious about your hygiene, in which got her feeling all woozy.
It was the simple things that got her interested, and it was when she decided to sit with you at lunch that you both started into a talking phase.
Your personalities fitted together like puzzle pieces, slotted to finish the final portrait. Gift giving was a love languages you had, one Wednesday had to get used to, and you abused it SO much when you were beginning to be with her.
You had once bought her a pitch-black obsidian handled knife with your initials carved into the side. The blade was made from steel and bone, sharped to be able to slice through flesh like it was butter.
Wednesday asked you to be her girlfriend the next day.
Your relationship skyrocketed to heaven, clouds surrounding you both in your little grey bubble of love. The two of you were so compatible that even Enid was slightly concerned on why you two had never met before.
“Seriously Y/N, it’s so crazy how soft she is with you.” She said one day over breakfast as you watched Wednesday go to get you your favorite food, “I’m slightly worried that you hypnotized her.”
You laughed, shaking your head while turning back to Enid, “I think she is just different with me than with you.”
Enid scoffed, sipping her orange juice daintily as she rolled her eyes. A large, raw steak sat in front of her, untouched and awaiting to be devoured.
“Does she talk murder tactics with you?” She asked, picking up her fork and knife to cut the meat, “Has she told you about shampoo torture?”
“Yep, and the wonderful ways to attack all human nerves at one time.” You replied, smirked at Enid as you both said the answer.
“Lava Bath.”
You both giggled, your voices carrying to where Wednesday stood in the breakfast line. The sound of your laughter filled her ears, and she couldn’t help but quirk a small smile. She loved your voice; the light, summer-y sound was soothing to her.
After grabbing a plate of food, some utensils, and a glass of chocolate milk, she made her way back to where you and Enid. were seated. Her black eyes were trained onto you, carefully watching your every move.
“Oh thank you!” You said happily, taking the plate from her.
“You’re welcome.” She replied whilst placing your drink and utensils down, “I never knew a person could be addicted to french toast, of all dishes.”
You chuckled, bumping your shoulder against hers after she sat down next to you. Her head tilted at the gesture, but she stayed silent and basked in the calmness of your conversation with Enid about how you can control the elements.
“So is it like a feeling? Or a will?”
“No,” You started, sipping your chocolate milk, “It’s more like an understanding between each creature.”
Wednesday buried her nose into her arm, exhaustion clouding over her as she attempted to stay awake. Due to a boring yet long study session, she did not get her usually 6 hours of sleep and instead took a 30 minute nap and stayed up for the rest of the night.
A warm hand rested on her back, rubbing comforting circles into her spine. She turned her head slightly to see you resting your hand on her, your eyes still on Enid as she spoke.
A rush of emotion hit her, a warm, bubbly feeling erupting in her stomach at your affectionate touch. Her face felt hot, and suddenly she had the urge to kiss you.
You both had previously talked about being more intimate with each other, but Wednesday’s stubbornness and her ill-efficient ways of conveying her thoughts on physical affection caused you to never got to try it out.
You had mentioned once that you were interested in slowly growing to that, and would be open to taking as much time as possible until she was ready for that kind of PDA.
The most Wednesday has ever done with you was hold hands, one hug after her second Poe Cup win, and she has permitted a few kisses on her cheek when you were feeling extra loving on valentine’s day.
“And that’s how I can start and stop the rain!” You said confidently, smiling at Enid while still rubbing Wednesday’s back.
“That’s impressive.” Wednesday commented from her slouched position, a small-dazed smile on her face as she stared at you, “You are stunning, cara mía.”
Your face went pink, your lip slipping in between your teeth as you blushed. Enid giggled, putting her hand over her mouth as she laughed at your flustered state.
“Shut up wolf.” You muttered, looking at the ground.
A sudden confidence came over Wednesday, and the next thing she knew, she was grabbing your face and pulling you into a kiss.
Your lips pressed into hers, soft-plump burgundy against slightly chapped and velvety pink. She pulled you closer, one hand on your waist while the other cupped your face. Eventually, your own hands slid to her cheeks to hold her, to touch her in some way.
She was addicting.
Her taste, her smell, her touch, her body language, the way she was so soft with you, the way she chased your lips after you took a breath; it was heavenly.
“Nes..” You mumbled, your voice muffling by Wednesday kissing you yet again.
You were aware of Enid, and you felt bad as this had to be so weird for her, but your focus was on your girlfriends tasteful kissing skills.
“As much as I love…well…love…this is extremely awkward.”
Wednesday pulled back from you, keeping her hands on your waist as she turned to glare at Enid for interrupting her.
“We were being intimate, leave us be.” She stated, rubbing her thumb on your hip.
“It was intense.” Enid sneered, gulping down the last of her orange juice as you blushed.
Wednesday rolled her eyes and pulled you into her lap as you yelped in surprise, your face going even redder than before. Her arms went around your waist to hold you tighter, her chin resting on your shoulder whilst closing her eyes in exhaustion.
“Sleepy?” You asked her, your hand sliding behind her neck to caress her skin.
She hummed, nodding and pulling you closer so she could lean into you. Enid snorted from across the table which made you turn to catch her taking a photo.
You eyed her with a warning look, raising an eyebrow and twitching your head towards Wednesday as if to say, ‘She will skin you alive if she sees that.’
Enid rolled her eyes but smiled, quickly sending you the picture before getting up to throw her food away and probably bother Yoko. You signed, watching her go before sinking back into Wednesday’s surprisingly comfortable hold.
You were with the girl of your dreams.

Metanoia (or not?...)
Metanoia:(n) meta·noia - a transformative change of heart...especially : a spiritual conversion
Part 1. Part 2.
Parings: Wednesday x Dracula!Reader (GN)
Warnings: they are a little older(19, lets say nevermore is a college), Blood, swearing, fighting, death, and.. some other grimey stuff. (i'm not a big word person.)
WordCount: 3.9k
note: I am adding some extra characters to fit the story line for both this fic and the show. Also, the reader is masc tbh.
Your nickname is D. For Di- Dracula. For Dracula. or Drac
________________
"D, open up." Xavier banged against the door of your dorm, "Ugh, you damn little-" he grumbled grabbing the lockpick from his pocket unlocking your door. You laid at the end of the bed in a deep slumber, drool sliding off the pillow onto the floor and your hand and leg hanging off the edge. Xavier grabbed the end of your blanket yanking the fabric off your warm body. The cold breeze hit your cold skin but a satisfied hum slipped your mouth as you sunk more into your pillow.
"You better get up before Wednesday catches you like this," Xavier whispered harshly. Your eyes snapped open catching the tall boy, "Wednesday's coming?" He nodded walking to your closet going through your clothes. Rolling your eyes at his mumbling, "You only have uniforms, White, Black, Gray and ONE purple shirt. Good thing we're going shopping today." You jumped off the bed walking to the bathroom in your dorm. Thank god Principal Weems caught your looks you have your parents when the two dragged out the "She" and "her", and of course the ascending.
"I can't afford any, my parents thought it was nice to kick me out empty handed." You bluntly replied, walking out the bathroom grabbing the outfit Xavier picked out for you. Eyeing the folded clothes, you shrugged your shoulders, walking back into the bathroom.
"Make sure you brush your teeth, i can smell the mountain lion breath." You laughed at his comment waving your toothbrush from the crack of the door. Once you finished freshening up and putting on the clothes Xavier picked out you smiled softly at how the outfit came out. That boy knows how to dress, but at how you looked you finally remembered the gothic girl.
"Why is Wednesday coming?" You yelled out grabbing the necklace by the sink placing it around your neck. You can't lie, you really liked the simple outfit you had on. White shirt, black skinny jeans with your chuck taylors and finally your rings and necklace but there is something missing.
"X?" You called out, he didn't answer your question. Slicking back your short wavy hair letting a strand fall on your face you mindlessly walked out adjusting your rings, you heard a small squeak. You looked up to see Enid, Ajax and the girl that has been haunting your dreams....and nightmares the last four days.
"It's missing something," Enid spoke eyeing your outfit, Xavier nodded along and Ajax shrugged his shoulder. Your black biker jacket was tossed your way which you caught swiftly eyeing the person who tossed it.
"Black is the key to fashion." Wednesday spoke, you could only nod her way placing it on. Enid smiled widely wrapping her arms around Ajax.
"That's it! Now lets go!" Everyone followed Enid out the door yet you stood back grabbing the bracelet that hid behind the picture frame. You glanced to see Wednesday taking a seat on your bed, these assholes set me up. They knew this would be a good time to get us both alone. Was Wednesday in on this?
"Why have you been avoiding me?" The firmness in her voice made the venom in your veins run cold. You placed your hand on your desk leaning forward at the echo in her voice that boomed in your ears. It almost felt as if you haven't heard her voice in years.
"You wouldn't understand." You whispered placing on the bracelet. Making your way to the door,
" Help me understand."
She whispered so lowly that one with heightened hearing could not catch...but you heard those three words as if you sat in front of arena speakers on full blast, You gripped the door handle huffing loudly giving one last glance towards the girl before exiting your room.
->
You walked side by side with Xavier down the streets of Jericho eyeing the odd stores, you ignored the mumbling of the tall boy as you both made a sharp turn into a shop that actually caught your attention.
"Alright, lets get you some outfits." he sang tapping Ajax as the beanied boy skipped off into the back. Enid circled around you eyeing your shirt and jeans,
"So to my observations, you are not a very colorful person." You shook your head glancing at the siren that walked into the shop. She eyes you four lightly laughing.
"You trust these three to dress you?"
"I mean i am not the one buying," you spoke running your fingers along the flannels that caught your attention, "should i trust you in dressing me?" She sent you a smirk strutting towards you in a way you quirked your eyebrow. Only a few inches from you, she grabbed the flannel that you rested your hand on and walked to another aisle.
After an hour of shaking your head, gagging lightly, and a few slight nods you finally walked out of the store with at least six bags in your hands. You followed the three and surprisingly Bianca into the coffee shop taking a seat into the booth. After ordering, you had a small conversation with Enid as Ajax draped his arm over her shoulder. You slid out from the booth walking to the corner grabbing the sugar adding some to your drink.
"So you are the feral animal Wednesday doesn't seem to shut up about."
You continued to add more items to your drink letting a small smile appear on your face.
"I wouldn't put feral and animal in the same sentence if you are trying to intimidate me." He placed his hands on the counter leaning forward so that his face was close to your ear.
"Why all of a sudden you show up and Wednesday is all about you." He whispered, you smirked at the forced act the boy is trying to flaunt out, "You could be the hyde." You finally leaned back eyeing the boy.
"Hyde?" The brown haired boy thumped your drink causing the hot liquid to spill over your biker jacket. Growling softly, you stared at the boy through your lashes praying to anyone listening that he gets the hell out of your face. You heard footsteps come to an halt behind you,
"Is there a problem here kids?" You turned to see man in a uniform with a sheriff badge shining in your face. You shook your head, glancing back at the boy whose face held a smirk you desperately wanting to wipe off.
"No Sheriff, this young man here sure knows how to welcome a new face to Jericho." the sarcasm you spoke flew over his head which he sent a tight lipped smile your way then looking back up at the boy.
"Make sure you go to your meeting with Dr.Kimbott today." The sheriff scolded the boy who only nodded cleaning the mess he made. He sent you one last last before exiting the cafe.
"Welcome to Jericho," He whispered sliding a new coffee your way, "Hyde." You grabbed the cup awaiting the right moment to throw it into his face when another presence was felt next to you.
"Tyler."
Wednesday's voice boomed in your ears once again, she kept her eyes glued to the boy in front of you that kept that damn smirk on his face. Once he locked eyes with the girl next to you he sent her a bright smile sliding her a black coffee.
"Hey Wednesday, we still up for tonight?" Your eyes snapped to the girl who stood frozen, a new feeling erupted in your stomach. oh how bad it felt, was it jealousy? Anger? Cause at this point you wanted to jump over the counter and rip his head off his neck. You cleared your throat leaning over grabbing the sugar again.
Your free hand brushed against the gothic girls which caused the world to stop. She gasped flinching at the sudden bolt of electricity that was sent through her body. She wouldn't admit to it if someone asked her...but she grew infatuated with the new feelings you were giving her. A glance to see those golden eyes, the poisoned veins that she witnessed under the moonlight a few days ago. The coldness in your touch but felt as if she placed her hand on a lit stove. In the eyes of others, you would be labeled a monster, but to her....if she ever were to say how she felt out loud it would be shoving a hot rod into her throat, but you were no beast to her.
You were home.
"Yes Tyler, we are."
"I guess i'll be heading back to Nevermore. Don't forget your meeting with your therapist Tyler, we'd hate to see a normal being with horrible daddy issues." You smiled at the boy whose face turned red in anger. Wednesdays fingers wrapped around your wrist as you jerked back facing her.
"I'll meet you in your dorm in an hour." You knitted your eyebrows at the sudden demand. You sent a nod gazing into her dark eyes, the coldness in her touch seemed to dismiss the wave of emotions you've felt towards the boy in front of you. Finally letting go, you made your way out the cafe down the streets of Jericho.
"So glad we have a dislike towards that normie." Xavier walked beside you on the way back to the bus stop.
"I show up and i already have an enemy" you joked as the two of you stopped at the corner of an antique store awaiting the bus or your friends. You saw the tall boy held all your bags which you quickly took,
"Let me be a gentlemen." You chuckled shaking your head, "sorry love, you and i both know that is NOT happening." You both broke into a fit of giggles at the thought of you two being something. That will not be happening in any lives you choose to live. A car appeared at the stop where you two stood. Turning your head, your smile dropped at the sight of Principal Weems sending you a death glare through the passenger seat window.
"In. Now." The power in her voice almost made your knees buck in. You inhaled sharply tossing the bags into the back seat and getting into the front.
"I'll see you back at Nevermore D." Xavier spoke from the sidewalk. You nodded his way as the car began to drive away. After a few minutes of silence, uncomfortable silence at that. Weems decided to finally speak.
"After a few days of talking to your parents and going over the process of an ascendant. I assumed you had your first bite?" You grumbled a 'yes' but oddly, you eye the turn Weems made that stopped in front of the cafe.
"Just need to grab Wednesday." Your eyes popped out your head at the name as you sunk into your seat. A few minutes went by and the small girl made her way out the main doors. You closed your eyes inhaling the vanilla scent that caused a growl to bubble in your throat. Oh god you thought, not now.
"I can smell your hormones from here." Weems spoke as she began her drive back to Nevermore. You shook your head holding your breath but that did not do you any good.
"Principal Weems, they need to feed." Once her voice was heard in the car you felt a pressure against your gums as your fangs appeared. You quickly bowed your head placing on your hood hiding the darkened veins that tinted underneath your eyes. The scent of your second weakness filled your nose as a bag was tossed onto your lap. Grabbing the tube quickly shoving it into your mouth slurping the bag dry. A moan slipped your mouth as you tilted your head back.
Wednesdays eyes darted to your side profile as your hood slid off your head. A small trail of the blood slid down your jaw as a smile made its way to your face. You turned towards Principal Weems flashing her a fanged smile. Weems rolled her eyes pointing to the glovebox, you huffed happily grabbing the blood bag slurping on the tube.
"From what i've read, younger ascendant's turn out to be the strongest in the blood line but the last ascendent like you was..." Weems stopped taking a sharp inhale parking at the Nevermore entrance.
"Alucard."
You scoffed at the name your family spoke about during meetings as you grew up. 'He is Hades himself' 'He will be the reason of our extinction' 'We do not need another young ascendent, it'll be the end of us all.' What a joke, like you could ever be as strong as this boogeyman or anything like him.
"Might as well place my head on a stick and give my mate my heart." You spat at the principal. Hopping out the car heading towards the gate, Wednesday sat in the back observing your body language. She knew you were scared, the wave of anxiousness she felt that sent her to place her sweaty palms on her knees.
"Enough with your childish antics! to prevent this outcome you must follow your parents advice for the sake of your life and Nevermore!" Weems spoke as she exited the car stomping after you. the small girl hopped out the car leaning against the door.
"Follow their advice?!" You snapped around to face Weems with darkened veins. "They are the monsters! Threw me out on my own for the most harmless thing us first lines could ever have!!" You growled out pacing back and forth in front of the gate. "I'm gay and now here i am." You huffed pinching the bridge of your nose trying your best to contain the tears threatening to fall. Weems face fell inching her way towards you,
"Understand here at Nevermore we do not discriminate or treat you any different for who or what you are." She whispered placing a hand on your back as you were hunched over letting a sob fall from your mouth. Wednesday cleared her throat taking a few steps standing next to you.
"If you want, i can accompany them to their dorm." Weems sent a small smile nodding her head. You lifted your head face now bare from the fangs and veins,
"Let's go." You spoke walking to the gates, awaiting for the entrance to open you looked over your shoulder at Principal Weems sending her a nod, "Thank you." She nodded your way sliding into the driver seat. The gates opened as you stood to the side letting wednesday head in, following after her.
"I expect you both in my office Monday afternoon!"
Crossing the campus to the secluded dorms you both reached your own as you unlocked the door heading in. You took a couple steps then stopped causing Wednesday to bump into you. Your instincts kicked in as you moved an arm back gripping the girls waist. You looked back sending her a look,
"Stay behind me." Wednesday could only nod at your order. Anything you'd tell her to do, she wouldn't think twice. Going against all her rules and promises in her book, she trusted you. Your eyes scanned the room as a familiar scent filled your nostrils, no one in sight but you felt a presence in the room.
"I'm surprised you replaced me," A voice spoke from the shadows. You let out a loud growl gripping the gothic girls waist tighter pulling her closer to your back. The voice walked into your dimmed room flashing you a fanged smile.
"I was giving you a year." Your eyes widen as the boy strutted taking a seat on your bed. Wednesday peeked from behind you locking eyes with the stranger, he smiled wide eyeing her.
"Definitely not your type, but i can see why you picked her."
"Alex." You whispered eyeing your best friend that leaned over placing his forearms on his thighs.
"Y/n."
"What did they do to you?" He howled in laughter as he stood up fixing his bracelet on his wrist.
"What did they do to me?! They changed my life, they helped me, they did what YOU couldn't do!" He yelled flashing his fangs, his eyes were pitch black. From the corner of your eye you seen Wednesday companion- thing hiding under the bed. Motioning your hand that trapped Wednesday, Thing sunk into the darkness.
"You're a newborn." You started letting go of Wednesday which she was quick to grab your wrist. Your heart skipped a beat at the action but yanked your hand away keeping your eyes locked on the boy. "Did you think letting a random brancher turn you would make you invincible? Oh Alex..." You stretched out his name sliding the biker jacket off tossing it across the room.
"They just made you their bitch." Alex's face fell letting his fangs show, you quickly pushed Wednesday out the door shutting it. Wednesday gasped at the growls, snarls and objects being broken on the other side. Her legs acted upon themselves running to the first person that came to mind.
You on the other hand...
"Fucking stop Alex!" You growled out pushing the boys head against the wall. He elbowed your stomach loosening your grip sending his head back to yours. Stumbling onto the floor, Alex straddled your waist punching you straight in the nose. A crack echoed in the room as you bucked your hips flying him into your desk. You stood up running out the balcony door with him hot on your tail. Vaulting over the railing, almost a three story drop you landed swiftly on your feet as a gruesome 'THUMP' sounded next to you. Alex groaned loudly wobbling as he stood.
"I'm.. going to rip your heart.. out." Alex roared as the venom dripped from his fangs. You flashed your doubled fangs planting your feet into the dirt beneath you.
"I'd like to see you try."
-><-
Wednesday pounded her fist against the tall door, "Xavier!" the door swung open as the tall boy knitted his eyebrows confusion as the gothic girls had actual tears brimming her eyes.
"Y/n. They-"
"Where are they?" Xavier didn't give the girl time to finish her sentence. He grabbed a small bag from the corner rushing out the room hot on Wednesdays tail.
"I have Enid getting Yoko and her group to the quad." Wednesday spoke making a sharp turn skipping down the stairs.
"How do you know they're in the quad?" Xavier asked, Wednesday shook her head looking back at the boy.
"I just...know."
Enid and the rest of the crew turned the corner seeing the fight between the two.
You tossed Alex against the wall blurring to the other side of the quad. Xavier grabbed the dagger from the backpack tossing it onto the grass.
"Drac!" You turned at your name to catch Thorpes gaze eyeing the weapon against the grass. Blurring to the object, Alex met you half way swinging his fist into your jaw. Flying to the fountain your head hit the edge causing your vision to blur. He grabbed your arm moving it into a position that sent a wail/snarl out your mouth.
"You're weak and reek of animal blood. Such a shame i'll be the one draining that mate of yours tonight." Alex growled grabbing you by your neck lifting you up as a display for everyone to see.
"One last look at your little friends before you see Alucard." Alex laughed out. Your eyes filled with black as Weems words played in your head. Wednesday held her breath as Alex dropped you to the ground grabbing the dagger. She couldn't lose you now. Standing still she whispered once again that banged against your eardrums.
"Don't you dare die on me." You felt a rush of adrenaline course through your body as you blurred into the boy knocking the weapon out his hands.
"The difference between me and you..." you started digging your fingers into his chest, the venom that dripped from your fangs landed onto his check that burned into the boys flesh.
"I am the first blood line to roam the earth..." Alex whimpered at the dominance you expressed over him, shaking his head he pleaded to be spared. A new voice rang in your head as you exposed his neck,
"I am... "
"No Y/n, please.."
"Dracula."
You pierced your fangs into his neck silencing his pleas and drinking him dry. Alarm bells rang in your head, this was not the way. But if you hadn't he would've killed them all and who would stop him? Yoko and the other vamps are no match for a newborn. Their stronger, faster, and feral. You couldn't let someone else die because of you, but then you wonder... who turned him?
During the ascendent trials from other families, they were fed only a certain type of blood. mixtures of animal, human, and branched families. Drinking a small amount to keep them from acting out like a newborn. Then you realized, you did not do your ascendent trial. You felt a small pinch in your neck that seemed to snap you out your daze. Yanking your mouth away from the pale boy, you jumped up looking for a threat. Everyone around you waved flags but your body seemed to be going numb. Slapping your hand against your neck where the pinch seemed to send a buzzing feeling through your body, you spotted the fencing coach with a weapon in his hand.
"Y/n, please stand down." Your hazy eyes wandered to the voice of Principal Weems that stood outside the main doors with a vial in her hands. You snarled attempting to place one foot in front of the other which caused you to fall onto the ground.
Wednesday acted upon herself and made her way towards you. Enid was to slow to grab her and Weems yelled out for her to stop but nothing and no one mattered at that moment but you. She kneeled next to you placing her hand against your bloodied jaw.
"I don't understand why i feel this pull towards you but you need to listen or i will not see you again."
A muffled growl slipped your mouth as you laid limp beneath the girl but soon you became bare once more.
"I couldn't let him hurt you." you whispered, Wednesday opened her mouth to speak but arms were locked around you, lifting you up onto your wobbly feet.
"Where are you taking them?" Xavier yelled at Weems as the two men dragged you out the quad. Principal Weems kept her head high turning towards the group of kids,
"Somewhere safe. They are in danger."
Wednesday and Xavier followed the principal wanting the right answers. "What do you mean they're in danger?" Xavier shouted but stopped once the taller woman turned towards the two.
"Someone more powerful than anyone in Nevermore."
"Who?" Wednesday finally asked, eyeing you behind the glass that the three stopped in front of. You were still under the trance of the incorrect dosage of blood and what made it worse is you drank from a newborn. You were feral. You grabbed one of the guard tossing him against the wall as the other lit the electric baton sending it into your side knocking you to your knees. The principal released a shaky breath glancing back at the two students.
"Alucard." She started but gasped when the lights flickered throughout the school.
"The devil himself."

Pokemon wenclair au: do you pretend to comple the teams for weds and enid, like, the six Pokemon. If so, what they would be? If not, why? And if vega existed in that au, what would be her team?
No, not really. Each of the three pokemons I chose for Wednesday and Enid's teams represent parts of them, and I am very content with the ones I chose. They had meaning to me, and adding more pokemon to that feels to me like I'm diluting that meaning, if that makes sense. It would mess up the team dynamic I had in my mind as well.
Also some of the pokemons that might fit them felt more like they'd fit the other characters better instead, which is also why I limited it(aside from the obvious reason that I can't draw that many pokemons)
As for Vega's pokemon, it would be these guys
Snubull. A pink dog for very obvious reasons.
Minior. Preferably the pink/red one. Because it's a star.
And Sableye, because it's supposedly designed after what was described to be an alien encounter. Vega loves aliens and would love a Pokemon whose origin is rumored to be from space
#asks#i might just list off the pokemons for the other characters in this universe#because im not sure id be coming back for it for a whil#vega addams

I tried to give Good Girl’s Guide to Murder a fair shot, but I couldn’t make it past the 2nd episode.
I find it boring, the pacing is weird, and Pip as a character I don’t find likable or compelling.
Emma Myers was fun as Enid, but for this project I feel like they were more banking on the heat of her popularity from Wednesday rather than a good fit for the role. She doesn’t have an English accent and I feel like part of the pacing was stilted because she was focused on trying to keep an accent.
“True Crime Enthusiasts” rub me the wrong way for the most part, and Pip definitely feels tone deaf and abrasive when she “interviews” people trying to solve the Andie Bell case.
I understand she’s a teenager doing a school project and can’t expect her to have professional interview skills, but I don’t know why anyone would talk to her. Especially when she more or less ambushes people randomly about a murder that happened years ago. And these are friends of the missing and the deceased and she thinks they should just talk to her because she’s doing a school project.
Some of the interviewees did tell her basically to fuck off, but I wouldn’t have sat down with her at all. Like a) they’ve likely already given their statements, so go to the police station and FOIA what you can you lazy arse. lol b) These were their friends and Pip clearly has an agenda. She readily admits she thinks Sal was innocent and her questioning and attitude denote that.
Meanwhile they are probably still grieving the loss of their friend AND dealing with the idea that he could have done something horrendous.
Besides “bribery muffins” to Ravi, she doesn’t offer compensation for their time, and she fucks up the interviews anyway.
I’ve seen some say the book is better and they cut out a lot anyway, which feels on par for a Netflix series since they only do 8 episodes.
So, my questions are, does Pip become more likeable as the series progresses or is she simply better in the book? I could try to power my way through more episodes if people say it gets better, and I want to support Emma Myers, but otherwise this is a DNF series for me.
As someone going in completely new and with no expectations, this series cannot stand on its own.

okay can i say a thing about esther in fics
So, this isn't something I loathe, or take great issue with, or anything, since I understand why this character is the way she is in a lot of fics, or any fandom interpretation. A lot of times, in fandoms, characters will change roles depending on the fanwork context. So if you want to explore a specific type of abuse with Enid, obviously Esther is going to fit that role.
I also have a lot to say with Murray, but I'll cool off with that for now. However, a lot of the same applies.
Anyway, I...do wish there was more nuance to Esther within the fandom? Or a better appreciation as to why she is a problem. Especially since she's a direct foil to Morticia, because both mothers ultimately have the same issue, it's just Morticia handles it with grace, and Esther doesn't.
Esther is an overbearing mother.
That is emotional abuse, which often stems from a genuine care for the child, but through a very warped perception that is so because of insecurity and/or entitlement.
I get it. I get why she's written to be physically abusive in a lot of fics, or do other things. It's a way to tell the stories people want to write, and I can't say that I won't be responsible for that. For context, the project I'm working on now has a lot of medical abuse where...it's really, really bad. Far worse than what's presumably in the show. And it's something done out of insecurity.
...can't really be a good judge of what or how I handle her, since I'm the writer of that. But. Whatever.
The point is, as someone whose personal experience with maternal abuse was never a physical one, and was purely emotional/mental, it does feel like a lot of the fandom doesn't understand how devastating those are, and equates physical abuse as...the worst kind. When in reality, they're not comparable, and it ultimately depends on the people involved. Some people can better defend themselves against mental abuse over physical, others it's the opposite.
And then you just have the additional context. Like what...is actually happening.
It's an oversimplification that I think really misses the point in trying to analyze what the show tries to say about Esther and Enid. Enid is a people pleaser. Enid does want to please her mom, but she acknowledges and pushes back against the pressure she's been put in. Very emotionally intelligent in that regard, probably because she had to be. And because she physically cannot wolf-out for the bulk of the show, Enid chooses to prioritize another thing that her mom may like: finding a "mate", of sorts. With or without a possible issue in comphet, this may be why Enid is so overbearing with Ajax. Because she's trying to compensate for not being able to frolic in the forest, beneath a full moon, as a saber dog thing.
Meanwhile, Esther is overbearing...because she is also compensating for something. When Esther hands Enid the pamphlet for summer conversion camps, she says outright that a cousin of Enid's had the same problem.
This is a familial issue. And may be indicative of something genetic: the Sinclairs, for whatever reason, have a predisposition for late-blooming. And Esther doesn't like it. Maybe because she's a late-bloomer herself, or, she saw what happened in older generations and wants to "save" Enid from it. By doing things potentially just as bad.
And she foils Morticia because Enid is not like her. The same way that Wednesday is not like Morticia. There's friction of interests. There's friction in communication, and in how to articulate love for each other.
However, Morticia actually accepts Wednesday. She doesn't understand her, but she tries. She leaves Thing to watch over her. Leaves the crystal ball. And leaves the necklace that Wednesday wears, because rather than physical touch, she doesn't mind the touch of cold obsidian. Ergo, by the time of season's end, Wednesday understands better how to communicate with her mother because her mother understands how to show her love. So she lets Morticia...kinda sorta embrace.
Esther meanwhile cannot get through to Enid because...she does not restrain herself. She's overbearing because she's being overruled by insecurity, and perhaps entitlement. There is an interesting implication with her wearing a wool vest--making her a literal wolf in sheep's clothing--, and that brings another layer of nuance.
And that's what...I really just want. I want more nuance and complexities than just "Esther evil. Esther hit Enid. Esther sell Enid off to be omega whore, or something."
So. Yeah.
I'mma go back to writing.
#volt's shit#wednesday show#wednesday 2022#wednesday netflix#wednesday addams#enid sinclair#morticia addams#i want more nuance is all#no shade i get why but still#also i think esther's actress is pretty

Enid Gaines headcanons?
(I'm ill so this might not be as detailed as the other posts but we roll)
Enid, of course, is the murderer, motive that she was cheating at her exams to get into Oxford.
One of the reasons Jolly Foul Play is so interesting to me is that it was a child murdering another child? And in my personal view, they were all originally actually friends. Idk why it's so interesting to me - I suppose something to do with the fact that they were peers, they'd grown up together, gone to boarding school where you see them everyday, learn their habits, what they don't like at breakfast etc etc etc. The intimacy of sharing a room with someone you have no say in, almost like siblings! Except not like that, because you aren't. (This ties in with my post about Elizabeth seeing the Five as her fucked up little held hostage type family)
Even before it was revealed she was the murderer, I felt she was on the outskirts of the Five and Elizabeth. Not being ostracised from them, and certainly not distanced from their actions but as in when they were all actual friends (as I hc them as used to being) she wasn't as close to them. I will explain in headcannons below!
- See I always had Enid down as a scholarship girl (although someone else recently made a post and mentioned she was upper class so now I'm slightly doubting myself but I will continue)
- she joins Deepdean in third form, as a dayboarder with her scholarship
- and the other girls like her, sure, but she hasn't got the posh accent, and her dresses are last year's fashion, and nearly all her things are second hand, not to mention she's a scholarship girl so everyone already thinks she's a swot
- so of course she tries to fit in, very similar to how Hazel scuffs her shoes and throws about her textbooks
- the other girls begin to want to be her friend now, ask her to walk with them to class and be partners in gym
- Lettice takes her on as a 'project' (a little like what happens in Emma) and lends her hair ribbons and hangs out with her (Lettice to my mind is very popular before becoming one of The Five) which is how she's introduced to the others
- she can't be the Swot if she wants to keep her friends though, so her grades slip
- her father is furious, and her mother is just a wet blanket so lets it happen (think Gwendolyn's parents in Malory Towers, if you were familiar)
- he tells Enid she should 'work harder, all that effort for nothing otherwise, friends don't last but money does, and the friends she does have are vapid and obsessed with silly things'
- "Enid, you're better than this! Keep an eye on the future, not on hockey, or hair!"
- this succeeds in creating resentment between her and the other girls, and also her parents move her to full boarding to help her focus at the same time Elizabeth turns cruel (see my E.H post for this!!!)
- so she is IMMEDIATELY thrown into this dorm family of hatred and of course she has to wonder, have all her friends always been like this?
- have they always been evil and terrible and manipulative? Has she?
- Elizabeth learns her secret quite late on as Enid doesn't start cheating until halfway through fifth form and Enid's sort of... boring in that sense
- she's a scholarship girl, and a swot, but everyone already knows this, it's no leverage.
- there's no big moment where Enid decides to start cheating, she's just tired and wants an easy way out
- and Elizabeth has started to view Enid as almost a dissident atp because she is still ever so slightly on the outside and also is still genuine friends with Lettice (her secret, her stay in the pyshciatric hospital, having not happened yet) which means she can't quite be turned against everyone not yet, and so E.H keeps a close eye on her for any trip ups
- Enid, now close friends with Lettice, tells Elizabeth that she's off to a psychiatric hospital to cover herself, maybe if she proves herself loyal to E.H she won't turn on her.
- it doesn't work. Elizabeth quickly realises that Enid has something to hide
- and Elizabeth finds out she's cheating, and the rest of the Five can now constantly imply that Enid is now no better than the rest of them, she's stuck like they all are.
- and so Bonfire Night rolls around and Enid sees the hockey stick and Elizabeth's back to her.
- it being Bonfire Night and Enid being a dramatic bitch who's read about Guy Fawkes, envisions herself as a successful him, taking down a tyrannical ruling power, and she doesn't hesitate as her fingers curl round the handle.
- 'how could she. I worked so hard. She knows I have. She deserves this like I deserve Oxford'
- she also feels guilt about Lettice's secret. Enid's final thought as the wood hits Elizabeth's head is "this is for Lettice"
- after it all happens Enid is furious as as she realises The Five won't visit her in prison. Didn't she save them?

🦇 𝖂𝖊𝖉𝖓𝖊𝖘𝖉𝖆𝖞 𝕬𝖉𝖉𝖆𝖒𝖘 𝕭𝖎𝖗𝖙𝖍 𝕮𝖍𝖆𝖗𝖙 🦇
Note: This is my own personal interpretation of what her birth chart looks like and how it represents Wednesday. The only confirmed section is the year and date, excluding the month and time. It's all for fun. Let me know your thoughts 🖤
Confirmed Birth Date: Friday the 13th in Vermont. Year of birth is 2006 as Wednesday is 16 in the series.
Wednesday's DOB used: October 13th, 2006 in Vermont, USA.
Her Chart ~ Rising in Scorpio, Sun in Libra, Moon in Cancer, Mercury in Scorpio, Venus in Libra, Mars in Libra.
Why I chose her as a Scorpio Rising:
Even though Wednesday sees the world through black and white, her strong moral values for right and wrong are defined by her Libra 11th house stellium that prioritizes objectivity, fairness & equity.
Even though Scorpio is an intense rising sign, and Wednesday is seemingly detached. She's actually quite an intense individual in the series when she protects her friends and her bond to her childhood scorpion in the past. You can also see her passionate determination to solve the mystery behind who the hyde and the hydes master are.
She just doesn't act on her emotions or overthink her feelings as I believe her cancer moon in the 8th house would conceal and hide her emotional nature as this house rules over what we conceal and keep secret as well as our fears. So, she's presented as having an "empty" heart, which isn't true, but I will explain more about this when I debrief my thoughts on her potential moon placement.
Because Scorpio is associated with death & and the void, this rising sign lends a cold demeanor to her personality that appears monotonous, but she does show her sudden bursts in her temper. Wednesday's actions show she cares more than she lets on as she's always looking out for eugene.
Wednesday is not fully detached as she gets in her head a lot and is shown to care deeply about Enid and crush on Tyler once she finds the courage to trust them enough. However, Wednesday is always polarized between who actually has her best interests in mind, and her perspective on the world remains suspicious and wounded. So she prefers loneliness and staying in the shadows to protect herself while also investigating those she deems as harmful to get an upper hand.
There is an obvious power dynamic present between herself and others that is common amongst scorpio risings. This power dynamic is people thinking that she's either better than everyone else or too odd to fit in, which is all just a misunderstanding. She has Pluto in the 1st House with this chart, and Pluto does show where we tend to be the black sheep and blamed yet at the same time are perceived as threats or having a hidden power others want to exploit or take. This fits with Wednesday's identity being heavily misunderstood by the school and Ms. Thornhill wants to use her as a sacrifice to resurrect Joseph Crackstone.
As a result of Wednesdays misunderstood intentions and intense personality, she ends up a bit ostracized at her school because she can't trust anyone. However, once she learns eugene and enid have her back, she stays very loyal to them. I believe all Scorpio risings just need to find their people in order to understand and show love to the world as it's often something they are left without.
Her appearance reflects that of a Scorpio rising in which she embraces the dark and macabre side of scorpio and their love for older clothing that reflects the past. Wednesday looks like a put-together ghoul, imo and seeing as how Scorpio rules over death, her appearance just fits that. I also see her smudged eyeliner and bangs, a fitting Scorpio look as many with this rising sign prefer bangs to conceal their forehead and add a layer of mystery.
Her Libra Stellium in the 11th House:
Main focus on Detachment, Selfishness, Objectiveness, Vengeance, Injustice is present in Wednesday's values. She has absolutely no desire for money, fame, status, or anything that would benefit her. Instead, her sole focus Is justice for others, specifically those who are innocently killed by the hyde.
Wednesday has her Sun, Venus & Mars in the 11th house which contributes not only to her life theme of bringing justice to a community and group of people, but also her motivation in life to fight for justice seen with her Sun - Mars conjunction.
This is the hero aspect to me, and Wednesday very well is the community's hero. I think it's important to note how she is written.off as self-absorbed and narcissistic by Xavier during their conflict. People assume Wednesday only thinks about herself, and for a period in time, SHE WAS only thinking about herself and her plan to capture the killer.
Wednesday's disregard and inability to see value in emotions reflects her Sun - Venus conjunction in the 11th house because while it's in Libra, this aspect is solely focused on prioritizing her values and ego. In the 11th house, this can translate to actually disregarding her personal feelings and only seeing importance in community and social matters, especially in Libra.
This is an objective sign that works with fairness meaning she can be very vindictive with no remorse because that is what's morally right in her opinion even if she takes it too far like we saw with Tyler trapped in the chair. 11th house & Aquarian people underdeveloped are known to take things too far just because they are so goal oriented that they tend to disregard the personal feelings of others as it's seen as a barrier to progression. I think this explains why she's only focused on her investigation and views her feelings as weak. Because her feelings could also be a part of her fears, which I will explain next.
Her Cancer Moon in the 8th House
Moon in Cancer was unexpected for many, but it makes a lot of sense the more I thought about it. The moon rules over intuition and subconscious, which is domicile in Cancer, meaning her intuition comes naturally to her. Even without visions, she had strong intuition, being naturally aware and suspicious of those around her. She wasn't your typical friendly cancer moon, but then again, her family isn't typical, so we have to focus on the signs qualities more so than stereotypes when analyzing her chart.
Wednesday was very reserved and internalized her feelings without realizing it. This is very cancerian behavior as they prefer to stay in their comfort zone, which in this case is by herself surrounded by darkness and gore, which her family and specifically her mother fostered.
Another point to acknowledge is how Wednesday has quite a supportive family. They got her out of boatloads of trouble and were there for her more than most other families. In fact, they were quite a clingy family that was close-knit and coddled Wednesday, to which she revolted against.
Considering the Moon rules over our behavior, what's genetically passed down through our mother & our maternal figure, we can see Wednesday is a lot like her mom as the moons' qualities are amplified in Cancer. Wednesday has her psychic visions passed down by Goody & Morticia.
The moon also shows our mom and the 8th house rules over what will withstand throughout time, the legends of individuals, and what will reoccur through generations in our bloodline. I believe this shows clearly with Wednesday's mom Morticia Addams' famous legacy at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday is set to repeat the same history as Goody and kill Joseph Crackstone as well as making a name for herself at Nevermore Academy like Morticia that will withstand time.
Moving onto Wednesday's emotional nature, for a water sign and house moon, you may expect an overly emotional individual, but it can actually create the opposite effect. A lot of the time, those that are water dominant have a clear control over how to express and use their emotions.
This means they can often end up expressing themselves as cold or detached as they don't lose control over their emotions easily. Instead, they control their emotions based on what they can use it for to benefit themselves and others. It's usually those that lack water in their chart that are overly emotional as a fun fact. In Wednesday's case, being both water & air dominant, there's a clear conflict between prioritizing her head or heart.
However, Wednesday chooses to guard her heart as this serves her the best and instead uses her high intelligence to manipulate others for answers. The 8th house rules over our fears and what we keep secret. The moon in Cancer here means she honestly did not want anyone at Nevermore knowing about her family, Wednesday is seen trying to remove her reputation from her mom and hide her family identity.
Another big fear of Wednesdays was trusting others. She had been so used to being stabbed in the back and people hurting her loved ones that it wasn't death that scared her. She actually loved gore. It was instead love and intimacy that she was afraid of expressing and experiencing. As the 8th house deals with deep, intimate bonds, Wednesday feared deep emotional connections throughout the series and purposely put others at a distance and self-sabotaged connections. Wednesday's fear of trust ultimately almoat put her in the grave, but she learmed a big lesson through enid, xavier & eugene on how to truly bond and trust their loyalty.
I'd say Enid helped her the most in this area as her polar opposite because Enid was the light Wednesday needed to nurture her hidden feelings that were comfiest, staying in the dark and alone. Enid brought Wednesday out of hiding and shined light by embracing it. This dynamic definitely resulted in some conflict between the two but ultimately an irreplaceable bond as Enid sought to help Wednesday understand her own emotional needs and to be able to recognize and percieve others intentions which is what cancer moons in any water house are the best at when they've matured.
This placement also indicates massive family secrets and could point towards Gomez Addams' false murder accusations and her mom instead thinking she murdered Garrett Gates when really he was poisoned.
Scorpio Mercury in the 12th House:
Her blunt and sharp edge, she is known for her intelligence and quick wit plus dark humor. She's more focused on strategy, vengeance, and solving challenges that come her way, not chatting up people. Scorpio does rule death, and I hate to say it, but most Scorpio Mercury natives tend to have a dead expression almost? They just sound very sarcastic 24/7 and sometimes monotonous unknowingly as this sign rules over paradoxes.
So naturally, they communicate in a paradoxical way that can be confusing despite their sharp straightforwardness due to mars traditional rulership. Wednesday's trademark humor is definitely seen here, as well as her perception that everyone has secrets, even those we don't suspect. She receives knowledge from higher realms and isolated or foreign places she touches, which can be attributed to the 12th House.
She often finds out secrets by chance, and her goal is to investigate. Wednesday is so secretive I think her Mercury placement here makes perfect sense, especially because she's always overthinking because of her second-guessing which is common for Scorpios as they struggle with knowing who to trust with their information just like how she struggled to trust tyler and xavier.
I'd also say that because this house rules over hidden enemies and Mercury & Jupiter is placed here, we can see how her neighborhood crush and someone who's highly educated and has authority would be her hidden enemy.
Jupiter in Scorpio 12th House:
This shows an abundance of spiritual knowledge & protection from the higher realm being Goody Addams. Jupiter is also very karmic and can show where you have the most success or fortune in which would be spiritual matters, foreign places & anything having to do with magic.
It's actually the best placement she could have for Nevermore as it literally points towards success over hidden enemies. As well as expansion towards what is invisible without a physical body. This means her dreams and visions as well as others' emotions she'd have a level of influence over. This is why Wednesday is seen as such a threat to Bianca imo.
Saturn in Leo 22° 9th House:
I mean, the 22nd degree is known as the kill or be killed degree, but also the fall from grace and rise back up degree. It's also in Leo the shining star in the 9th house that rules over religious and higher educational institutions, which Nevermore would fit into as a school full of magical people learning advanced topics for their powers.
Saturn is about delays, limitations, completing past life lessons, and discipline. Nevermore showed Wednesday that she may actually have gotten herself into some trouble and overestimated herself. Saturn here presents the lesson of Wednesday expressing her heart and this being delayed. Her lesson was to learn how to trust, which almost killed her because she trusted Tyler first. But then someone with leo qualities would be more fit to actually show Wednesday loyalty and love.
I'd say Wednesday's biggest setback was her disregard for her own and others' feelings, but this changed at Nevermore. Another interesting pattern with Saturn here can show where we build ourselves up and keep respect. Wednesday saved Nevermore, so obviously, she was highly respected but also went through many obstacles at her institution with her authority figure the principle Larissa Weems.
Although Larissa wanted the best for Wednesday, she viewed Larissa as a setback and someone who got in her way. Wednesday also struggles with authority figures as a common theme because she values her independence, which can show up as a common 9th house saturn theme and the battle against those who teach you life lessons. To say the least, Wednesday would struggle to listen to others' ideas, beliefs & morals until she matured because she just views hers as better and others as too restrictive and boring. Rules are not for Wednesday lol
Saturn also opposites Neptune in the 3rd House, which means there's a theme of common knowledge being hidden from the authorities and a lot of secret messages made to deceive the school and principle. The neighborhood conflict between Jericho and Nevermore can be seen here because Jericho holds more mystery and secrets than they let on in the neighborhood history, literally being a lie as they praise Joseph Crackstone.
On the other hand, Nevermore feels trapped by Jericho and unfairly treated. Saturn being a cold planet means Nevermore feels isolated from their neighborhood Jericho that is put on a literal pedestal built off of lies.
North Node in Pisces 4th house
Wednesday's life path is to create familial bonds and become closer to her family. This also has to do with searching family history and speaking to ancestors through her psychic abilities. Because her NN is in Pisces in the 4th House, this means she's supposed to nurture and grow her psychic abilities as the 4th House is how we foster and nurture while Pisces theme are unconscious psychic sense and higher emotional comprehension. The 4th House is the root of our being.
Therefore, it is in Wednesday to master her psychic abilities and further develop her emotional understanding. However, she has a hard time understanding herself. She's simply more comfortable with her SN in the 10th house Virgo, where she has an intelligent reputation and work from evidence and facts. She prefers to solve problems rather than work on emotional comprehension.
Pisces 4th House & Houseruler in 3rd (Neptune):
I can see this with Wednesday's struggle to emotionally understand or become attached to others. She may have often felt manipulated by her own family and dissociated a lot at home. The 4th House is our upbringing and emotional roots, how our emotions were nurtured. I can definitely see how Pisces here would make her feel insecure by her family but also protective over them as they're her greatest power and healers.
But at the same time, she felt like living in their shadow with past wounds that were brought up later by her father's accused murder. A theme seen from the I.C. ruler in the 3rd House where dirty rumors about her family were spread to the entire neighborhood.

Since you mentioned Enid going through the anger part of the stages of grief it made me think it would be kind of interesting if the tournament accidentally reflected those stages, from Enid’s point of view, her whole year doing her best to have her pack be the Arcadia representatives could qualify as Denial, the animosity of being forgotten kickstarting Anger and maybe Bargaining coming as the bridge between Wenclair happens as a “”maybe”” alliance against the other schools (who in turn want the biggest threats of Nevermore and Arcadia out), it’s a nice step, they are kind of awkward as teams but they work, and Depression happens when Enid not only realizes her attitude definitely hurt her old friends to some extent (c’mon you know that little info reveal is going to be brutal) but that, in a way, she was right, maybe those horrible thoughts she had for so long of being inappropriate were right all along, they truly were better off without her, I mean, they are indeed closer now, they were there for each other when she was gone, and Enid? Enid had wanted to crush them under her heel to feel better over her friends not being miserable over her, which they had been, and all of this is her fault and—
Also fuck acceptance, we are not resolving this like proper adults, we are running off into the woods out of shame (and to not go into a rampage on the middle of a literal school) - The Choir’s suggestion, probably, Enid seriously considers it, though
Also a funny name fact, idk if we share this language tidbit but the Oars used for things such as rowing are called Remo in Spanish, coincidentally, our way of writing Remus, so I think the Rowers/Rowing team name is kind of fitting, also Rowers reminds me of Growlers and it accidentally follows the Nevermore Outcast name system
HOW'D YOU FIGURE OUT MY PLAN?? (has not been discreet at all)
Also bargaining is also Enid and Wednesday having time between themself outside the tournament. Where Enid sees wednesday getting affected by everything and offers a tour because there's no point in being up against you if you're distracted
Itd be like old times, Wednesday
Silly Enid, why don't you just say you want to hang out?
BUT NOT ENID RUNNING AWAY WHEN THE SHAME HITS 😭 I HAD A WHOLE ENDING THOUGHT OUT WHERE ENID AND THE PACK WON THE TOURNAMENT AND EVERYTHING
It should be a joyous occasion, there's people cheering and so much noise but even then Wednesday catches her eye
The nightshades look sad sure but they're patting each other in the back and essentially taking it in such a good sportsmanship way that it leaves a bitter taste on Enid's mouth
It's then that enid gets reminded that what's the point of winning when it isn't with her?
And it just slams into Enid that while this is another poe cup tournament, it will never be like the first, the one she won with Wednesday

Something Holy This Way Comes
Ch.2 Secrets
Other Stories
Other Chapters
Progress on the restoration of the Glain route was progressing quickly with the extra engines. They had reached a small farming village named Tawel, high on the cliff overlooking the sea. Seagulls lined the cliff edge, crying angrily at Screech's presence. One started hopping towards her. Screech opened an eye to stare at the bird. The gull stopped for a moment, but then hopped forward again while looking the giant in the eye.
Thwack
The seagull's flock turned to watch it sail away towards the ocean.
"Screech!" Mali said admonishingly from the station platform
Screech closed her eye.
"The skyrat should have known better." She said lazily.
The seagull returned and landed on Screech's snowplow, squawking in indignation.
Screech eyed the bird in irritation.
Mali giggled.
Screech slowly scooped up a pile of snow with her tendrils. The seagull failed to notice the tendrils moving until it was too late.
ploof
The seagull's head popped up from the snow angrily.
Screech rumbled in satisfaction. Miss Morgan exited the old station, stopping to take in the sight.
"I see you're getting along with the locals." She said amused.
Screech flicked a tendril at the seagull who hopped over it with a squawk.
Screech glared.
"Any progress with getting a new engine?" Mali asked, hoping to distract Screech before she gave into the whisper's urging to unmake the bird.
Miss Morgan nodded, "Yes, finally. We're negotiating for an engine from the Western Region. They're supposed to arrive middle of next year."
"So long?" Screech asked without looking away from the gull.
"The engine is being sent for overhaul at Swindon," Morgan explained. "They will come here once overhauled and we'll have a chance to buy them if we're satisfied."
"You know they will try something to sabotage the trial."
Miss Morgan locked eyes with the eldritch giant, "which is why you will be watching over our new engine when they arrive."
A smirk slowly dawned on Mali's face, "They don't know about Screech."
The whisper cackled.
Miss Morgan's grin was predatory, "No they don't. I suspect the only reason they are sending the new engine is to find out what's changed on our railway. Before her arrival, we were struggling to keep the trains running."
"And when they find out about me?"
"That's the best part," Morgan smirked, "they'll never believe it. It doesn't matter if their spy sees you, according to their records you were scrapped."
"Because I was."
Freda spoke up from the cab, "Normally that would mean you were dead. Not on a distant railway with reality-breaking abilities."
"Technically I am dead."
Gwyn snorted, "You're awfully solid for a ghost." He said, rapping his knuckles on the side of her tender.
Screech looked back, unimpressed. "I was cut into pieces by burning axes before those pieces were melted back into raw metal. The fact death failed to drag me beyond does not mean I am alive."
"I would think that's exactly what it means."
Screech locked gazes with Mali, "Little Thief, every second I must hold back my true form or risk reducing your mind and body to ash in an instant. I am no longer of this world, I am of the beyond. Your very being is unable to withstand the true weight of my presence. If I were to ever slip, you would not die, you would be unmade."
Mali swallowed nervously, "So no startling you then."
"It would be unwise."
The seagull squawked in apparent agreement.
Mali went to speak then hesitated.
"What is it, Little Thief?" Screech rumbled.
"You say you confine yourself to your physical shape..."
"Do you not believe me little one?"
Mali shuddered as her bones rattled from Screech's attention. "If that shape is confined...how large are you actually."
Screech rumbled a laugh, the sound's echoes triggering an avalanche on the nearest mountain. Her eyes burned blue as she ever so slightly relaxed her grip on her form.
"Avon is taking on water while Enid complains about her snowplow fitting awkwardly."
Miss Morgan blinked, nonplussed, "Avon should be at Din by now."
"She is."
The humans were silent for a long moment as they understood what she was saying.
Miss Morgan finally shook her head ruefully, "I suppose that keeping anything from you is a lost cause."
"Only if I know to look." Screech admitted as she shifted slightly, "It's why I didn't recognize Tyto's approach. I can only focus on so much at once, although saying my name will normally get my attention.”
Mali jumped, "Wait does that mean you know..."
"Yes," Screech said bluntly
"Oh." Mali sounded very small.
Screech rolled her eyes, "I am hardly in the habit of spilling others' secrets."
"...Thank you," Mali said quietly.
Miss Morgan raised an eyebrow but didn't comment.
Gwyn looked at Screech thoughtfully, "How far can you reach if you try? say..."
"You had better not be asking one of my engines to spy on my meetings with the Other Railway." Miss Morgan said flatly.
"I don't trust them," Gwyn said seriously. "You know they want us gone. Removing you would accomplish that."
"They're not murderers Gwyn." Morgan frowned at him.
"Screech existence says otherwise," Freda said quietly. There was an awkward silence.
"She has been in no danger." Screech finally said.
"...you were already watching." Miss Morgan sighed in resignation.
"I was."
"...thank you."
It was quiet for a moment then Mali tentatively asked, "Any progress on the Argol line?"
"We hope to begin work on restoring the Argol Line in the spring. " Miss Morgan said, stretching, "By then Seren will be able to assist, and the first trains could be running by Autumn. They'll only go as far as the first station, but the sooner the lines open, the sooner it can help pay for its renovation.
"Will we have the engines to serve the line by then?" Freda asked.
Miss Morgan nodded, "I spoke with the North Western Region and the Chester and Holyhead board last night. The North Western is sending us another engine to help restore the old lines to Glain. Once the line is reconnected, the CH&R has promised to help run the trains until we're on our feet.
"Do they know about Screech?" Gwyn asked.
"No." Miss Morgan shook her head, "Tyto and Ceri promised to only tell Eagle. Screech will remain our ace in the hole for as long as we can manage."
