I wasn't gonna post anything from this one bc it's so close to being done I might just post it within a day or two (no promises tho lol) but I'm loving it so much and I can't resist posting a snippet haha

so here's a bit of my 7x06 tommy's pov fic!

(...) “my sister finally married the love of her life,” a kiss to Tommy’s chin, then another, and one more, and Tommy laughs again. “And I,” Evan grins against Tommy’s lips as he kisses him again, “I have a really hot date to her wedding.”

“Yeah, straight out of a fire.” Tommy smirks and bumps their noses together, and Evan laughs, Tommy drinking in the adorable sound. It all feels- it feels intimate, familiar, more than it should be at this stage.

“Mhm, even hotter now.” he leaves one more kiss on Tommy’s lips. “And I’m just- I’m really happy you’re here, Tommy.” Evan pulls away, this time enough to look into Tommy’s eyes, his own shining excitedly, face softening, as he whispers, with something like awe in his voice, “You made it.”

“Of course.” Tommy answers earnestly, feeling a fond smile pull at his own lips, his chest swelling at the look Evan gives him, something so affectionate and wonderstruck – he doesn’t think anyone has ever looked at him like this. It could be overwhelming, if he didn’t feel the exact same way. “We had a date.”

objectively speaking, abh deserves more praise. the horror of the last update is very well done and despite the (undeserved) hate, the love interest are not one-dimensional, and the plot is well thought-out and engaging.

elena scatters the hints and the red herrings carefully across the chapters and ive never had more fun theorising and dissecting a book. i can't wait for season one finale and season two 🎆

So, I actually am curious about this.

I use quite a few different programs for editing my work, specifically I prefer using ProWritingAid but have also used Grammerly in the past too before I wanted something with more features and specialized.

Both ProWritingAid, Grammerly, and other editing software often have features that can reword sentences for you for numerous reasons, such as getting rid of a "passive voice," for clarity, or just to make it sound better.

I'm not entirely sure what sort of program is running to do this. Is it AI based? Perhaps. Or maybe an algorithm of some kind? I am not sure. I know very little about software.

Personally, I find it really helpful and it speeds up the line editing, which I hate doing. Content editing and rewriting? Fine. LINE EDITING? Ugh.

But what is everyone else's opinion on this?

pardon me the indulgence but cannot understand how some of you live without knowing love. watching from the sidelines as people use terms like “situationship,” “talking stage,” “the ick” really makes me feel like i made it out of germany in 1932, i was on the last train out. with time you can really feel the eros transform into the philotheia of plato’s symposium (NOT philia, ie. contemporary use of “platonic” love), something that clearly needs to transcend past attraction, carnal or otherwise. the kind of relationship that totally buffs out the wear and tear on a person from every-day life; as žižek said, something that so closely resembles insanity that it cannot convincingly be separated from it. sometimes i really think maybe it’s not that everything reminds me of her, maybe i just am her to an extent

i also think this is less likely or less strong the more your relationship is built on any practicality, which comes with age. there’s a difference between falling in love when your life has no structure and bending your life to someone, and finding someone who fits your life once it has established parameters. if you are employed full-time and not in this kind of relationship, you missed your chance, it's over for you, you can only have a contractual obligation

i used to freehand comics all the time as a child and since the part i liked was the drawing part i would just draw panel after panel because i didn't want to stop drawing to think about icky icky words, plus the story TOTALLY still made perfect sense! to me! and noone else, but 'whoooo caaaaares omgggg its not like comics and sequantial art are a communicative meeediummmm lmaoooooo'. i spent my entire childhood telling myself stuff like "oh pfft I know this story by heart- ill SIMPLY remember the dialogue and write it later" ...and. I can't help but admire baby maiora's (call that a minora ba tm tsk) fucking audacity? hubris? confident wrongness? kid couldn't even remember to finish the comics in the first place? INCREDIBLE levels of unearned self assurance, wish that were me, genuinely- what an icon!!! anyway i think i have forever cursed myself

not sure anyone’s gonna like me saying this but I do believe cesare allowed lucrezia to be an accomplice to him killing alfonso so that he could justify them being together in his head. like, he had rufio waiting downstairs for his command to finish alfonso off, and yet when he saw lucrezia mixing the cantarella he just stays, watching her, commenting to himself that she is a professional. he's spent most of the season pulling away from her, from their shared feelings because one of his main goals throughout the whole series is protecting her innocence and once they've crossed the rubicon, he feels his failure at protecting her innocence like a weight crushing him. and then this near perfect opportunity to just let all that weight fall away lands in his lap and he just thinks if she is willing, why let the opportunity go to waste? why step in and say that he started this, he should be the one to end it or tell her that rufio will end alfonso's agony? and so, he doesn't and she cleans up his mess, making her directly responsible for the death of an innocent, therefore, making it possible in cesare's mind for them to finally give into their feelings without him feeling like he's failing her as her older brother.
