extra . his favorite types of dates are probably the unexpected and weird ones . i’m talkint about like, bird-watching , trying new restaurants , sewing classes , watching the worst rated movies and seeing how long it takes you to laugh >_<

confession . he was sooo scared to say anything!!! it took a lot of nudging and urging from Lu and the others to get him to even talk to you . (they were just tired of his rambling and love-sick smiles whenever you stepped into the store)

Step 1: ask the atsumu what’s wrong.

You know you’re going to be listening to him rant for hours when he comes home in a bad mood.

The opening and then the sudden slam of the front door to your apartment takes your attention away from your phone.

You look up to see a bothered boyfriend with a slight pout to his face as he abandons his belongings on the floor and heads straight to plop himself right on top of you on the couch.

It wasn’t exactly unusual for him to do this, so you figured he was just extra tired today and continued whatever you were doing on your phone.

It wasn’t until he kept dramatically sighing and shifting every minute that you figured you should probably ask him what’s wrong..

“Are you okay tsumu” you put your phone down next to you, making eye contact with him.

“It’s ’bout time ya asked” he pouted, shifting once more so that he basically bear hugged you. You sighed, rolling your eyes as he wasted no time explaining.

“I practice with a bunch of idiots” here he goes again..he complains at least once a week about the same thing.

Step 2: do NOT push the atsumu away because he’s all sweaty (do not).

You listened to him rant for a couple of minutes, the warmth of his body providing as a blanket for you even if you weren’t cold.

“Tsumu….i love you but you’re so sweaty.” You sighed, trying to wiggle out of his grasp which only resulted in him tightening his hold.

“Don’t be rude” he pouted looking straight up at you as he used your chest to hold his head up. “What, can’t cuddle my girl now?”

“No, please shower” you lightly push his face away, only smiling at his deepened pout.

“No”

“Yes”

“No”

“Yes”

Step 3: if you didn’t listen to step 2, a kiss will cheer the atsumu up!

After your boyfriend lost the battle and showered, he returned to the couch. Not one word being said and instead of him laying on top of you, he sat on the other side of the couch, turning the tv on.

This made you raise an eyebrow and stare directly at him. He refused to make eye contact, even though he knew that you knew he knew you were staring.(lmao sorry).

“Tsumu” you called out, watching him pretend to be soo interested in whatever was on tv

“Seriously”

“…”

You sigh and crawl up to where he sat on the couch, forcing yourself into his arms, which, wasn’t hard since he would never miss the chance of holding you.

You lean up to press a sweet kiss on his cheek, and Atsumu immediately turned to look at you, a cheeky grin now plastered on his face.

Step 4: give into the cuddles.

Now that you are in his arms, his upset mood from earlier seemed to vanish. And now? Now, you were stuck cuddling for the rest of the night. Good luck !

Day 2: Black Cat

Relationship between Bruce and another

As the air got chillier so did Damian’s insufferable attitude. I mean, he was already insufferable, you can only imagine the heights it’s reached nowadays.

You sighed and turned the corner. Walking to the Wayne manor was less that ideal but you wanted to do something to appease that attitude of his. (Hence, a surprise)

It’s like someone stuck a stick in his ass and left it to marinate, the idea wasn’t totally out of left field, he could’ve been too embarrassed to have brought it up. Maybe that’s why he’s been this way..

Plus the whole week he’s been whining on and on about black cats, like you get that they’re “bad luck” but they’re super cute!

Well your thoughts came to a close as you realize that you passed the gate and was now approaching the front door. You secured your scarf as a particularly harsh wind caused you to shiver, despite going to have to remove it soon enough.

Still, you couldn’t help but feel like you were forgetting something…..

Well, whatever. Problem for future you to deal with.

You lift your arm and knocked as much as you could without hurting your already frozen knuckles. You leaned in to hear footsteps from behind the door and quickly backed away as Alfred opened the door.

He greeted you politely despite your less than ideal guest behavior and let you in. Once you were stripped of your coat, scarf and whatever other “outside” clothes, you scurried on up to Damian’s room.

Sure you bumped into a few of the other residents along the staircase and hallway, perhaps you were enticed with a few snacks here and there, but you finally made it to his room

… and he’s not here.

Another chill ran through you despite the warmth of the inside. Which ofc only means one thing, the window was open.

You headed on over to his windowsill and decided that if you died then it was completely alright, technically it was still a surprise for Damian.

You quickly made your way to the roof of the manor (don’t try this at home) and despite your other half still hanging off the end of the roof, Damian’s figure quickly caught your attention.

He seemed seriously upset. Like actually.

“Hey Damian!” Your shout obviously startled him and caused him to look around before his eyes settled on your face.

“What the- you idiot!” He quickly got up from his seating position and yanked your two arms, effectively hauling your entire body onto the roof.

“Im speechless , how could you be so stupid?!” Despite being “speechless” Damian continued to yell at you for another 10 minutes.

Then the thought had occured to him, why were you up here anyway? “Why’re you here?” So blunt…

“Ok first off, rude” you got up and stood in front of him, “second of all I wanted to surprise you” you rest your arms on your hips, as a ‘gotcha, now you have to apologize’

Instead of graciously falling to his knees he just deadpans, “what surprise? You aren’t much of a gift” ok, tbh he kinda gagged you.

You were so offended, how dare he? Especially hen you went through all the trouble of getting him- oh wait, that’s what you were forgetting.

“Oh shit I bought you some Crumbl Cookie but I forgot it” your hand raced up to your head as Damian just stared at you.

“You do realize I hate those cookies?” Again, feeling judged.

“What? But you always buy them!”

“Uh yea, cuz I thought you liked them”

Now you were just standing there like idiots, then the unbelievable happened: Damian Wayne began to laugh.

“What- why are you laughing??” Your confusion only seem to have prompted Damian to laugh even more.

Finally he seemed to have calmed down and sat down on the edge of the roof that was threatening to kill you not so long ago. He pat the spot next to him.

Obviously, you obliged. Sure your “surprise” might have failed but something still nagged at the back of your mind.

“Soo uh,” you finally spoke up after a moment of silence “what’s your deal with black cats? Like why’ve you got a whole vendetta against them.”

There was a pause but then Damian spoke, well more like sighed then spoke. “It’s not actual black cats that I’m against, did you really think I was going on about an actual black cat and how it finished the rest of my snacks??”

There was disbelief in Damian’s tone but he was right, you totally believed it…

He sighed again, “well it was actually about Selina..” his eyes drifted off to the side.

“Wait.. Catwoman?? Why her?”

“Well she has this weird relationship with my dad, well not weird more like inconvenient.”

“How come?”

“Well she’s a criminal! Plus even then, and sure she’s good sometimes ,”colleagues”(very loose definition btw) shouldn’t date!” His brows furrowed, like it was a core belief of his.

Now it was your turn to deadpan at him “Damian, you do realize we could be considered colleagues and we’re still dating?”

Damian seemed in shock that you’d have the audacity to disagree and offend him in the same moment.

“Well that’s different”

“Hmmm not rlly”

“It is”

“It’s not”

“It’s really not…”

This whole deal with Damian had been bothering you lately but seeing as it was this teen phase he was going through, well it wasn’t that concerning.

“Hey..”

“What.” Damian snapped, still upset at you pointing out the obvious fact that overruled his argument in the first place.

“I’m cold, let’s go inside.”

Damian sighed and got up in one swift motion, then he held a hand out to you, and of course you took it.

Somehow you and Damian managed to successfully get back inside through his window despite the bickering and slips that happened along the way.

Damian stretched a bit and began walking towards his door, “let’s go eat something, I’m hungry.”

“Sure but why were you being all emo out there in the dark anyway?”

"dada, wanna talk to mama!" his son insists, inching his body forward which prompts satoru to adjust his legs so his boy doesn't climb off his thighs. using his other hand, the sorcerer lightly runs his fingers through his child's soft locks to calm down his excitement while and in the meantime taps away at the screen to video call you.

"there you go," he whispers as he brings the phone to his son's line of sight, his heart swelling when you finally answer the call.

"hi," you croak softly, your voice thick and hoarse while you rub your tired eyes. "what time is it?"

"it's lunch-"

"mama!" your son interrupts, his small hands curling over satoru's fingers as he holds both sides of the screen. "mama, miss you!"

"hey, cutie", you reply with a tiny smile, but satoru can see the exhaustion weighing heavy on your face. "miss you soo much,"

you've been sick for the last four days. a terrible cold that's kept you bedridden. satoru and your son have been isolating to make sure that they don't catch what you have, but your boys have been wallowing without you around. your son has been extra needy and keeps bringing up his "mama" every chance he can get. satoru is in the same position as well, hating that he can't cuddle up to you in the middle of the night, or that he can't wake up to your good morning kisses.

"mama sick," your son says with a furrow of his brows, moving his hand over the screen like he's trying to touch your face. "mama get better ok?"

he's still learning his words, trying to form whatever sentences he can with the vocabulary that he has.

you nod your head, "yeah, baby, I'll be better soon,"

your son smiles at the camera, his eyes twinkling with delight. "kisses!" he announces, before leaning forward and pressing his lips onto the phone screen.

you blow him back three kisses in return.

at this point satoru can't help but feel a little left out, so he arches forward to rest his chin on his son's shoulder, the two of them now centering the screen.

it's wild seeing them both together because they really do look like twins. your son's hair stands as a harsh contrast because it is identical to yours, but his eyes are a blend of your love. there's an icy blue that pierces through his natural color on the left side, a unique trait that distinguishes him entirely.

"can I get some kisses too?" satoru pouts at the camera, and your son obliges but placing one kiss on his cheek.

satoru can't help but grin, "thanks, rugrat, but I was hoping the kisses would come from your mama..."

"but mama sick," your son answers nonchalantly, twisting his body slightly so he was turning toward's his father's instead.

"she just blew you some kisses," he answers back with a raised brow. "I can't get any?"

your son blatantly shakes his head no.

satoru deadpans at the phone screen, and you have to use the blanket to cover your amused grin but you clear your throat as a cough escapes you, and satoru can't help but wince.

"how are you feeling? is the medicine helping at all?" he adds.

"yeah, it is. I'm feeling much better today actually."

"there's a pot of soup in the fridge " he continues, his cheeks tinting a slight shade of pink. "I made it last night"

satoru toiling away in the kitchen is a rare sight. the man grew up spoiled, and rarely ever had to take care of himself. you're the only person who knows that the first time he ever touched a stove was in his late teens, with shoko and suguru assisting in teaching him. he doesn't experiment much, but he was able to perfect a handful of recipes over time.

your eyes widen, glisten with absolute love. "thanks, handsome. I'll be sure to heat some up..."

"just want to see you back on your feet, angel," satoru murmurs, and presses his cheek against' the plush surface of his son's. "you've got us pining over here, isn't that right?"

your son nods his head, bringing one hand to hold his father's jaw. "sick bad, want mama t'get better now..." he acknowledges.

Sometimes I just think about how absolutely TERRIFIED V is of Cyn vs just the solver in general. Her behavior in specifically episode 8 when Cyn is around is SOOO interesting.

V uses her knife hands unnecessarily through the whole show - she uses them just as much as, if not more than, her normal hands. It's probably a mix of show and a genuine defensive habit she's picked up by the time the show actually starts.

Even during episode 8, when she's being emotionally vulnerable to what she believes is N, the knives are out. She's probably tense, both from the fight AND from the emotional weight of spilling these secrets she's kept for ages.

And yet, when faced with Cyn, who she KNOWS is a threat... she retreats the knives, placatingly, and IMMEDIATELY begins pleading. This is V, who has never hesitated to resort to violence before. And it's not the solver itself she's scared of, its CYN. There's a brief moment in episode 3 where, when Uzi's solver activates, V startles and pulls her gun on her. In episode 4, when Uzi is possessed by the solver, V is clearly rattled, but she still has no problem taking action against and fighting Uzi. In these instances, she WAS afraid, but not enough to not be able to take action. But here? Her confidence completely falters. Her first instinct is to make herself as small as possible and try to reiterate that she can still do whatever Cyn wants of her (and she most definetly gets this behavior from having to serve the Elliotts on Earth, and from being disposed of even before that.. do a good enough job, or you can easily be thrown out. Something something, she's never been free, and at least being gleeful about murder means she's ok with it, so therefore she's not being forced!!! Any way to get autonomy back. But that's a side tangent in itself).

When Cyn nearly eats N's heart, V is in no way being prevented from trying to reach him. Sure, J is there, but V is clearly not afraid of J, having just fought her. But faced with the drone she worked so hard to keep safe being at risk, who she'd clearly done so much for... She freezes. Because this is CYN. And Cyn RELISHES mocking her fear, like she KNOWS V won't make a move to stop her.

And even down to what she would have surely thought was when she and N would definetly die, when she is STILL technically free to get up and fly away, she freezes. It's all she can manage is to vainly try to defend herself and keep N's core sheltered. She's too terrified to even move but she's still trying to keep him safe to the end.. (side note, if you pay attention to them once Uzi shows up, you can see she's still covering him with her sword while he's out of commission, which is very cute. Presumably she stays with him while he regenerates, which is why they show up late to the fight)

V is just soo interesting. She tries sooo so much to be cool under pressure and unbothered, but Cyn's presence is enough to stop her completely. Very fun and very revealing dichotomy to her character, and seeing how she effects V makes Cyn much more personally threatening than her just being an entity employing some vague cosmic power manages to do

Hi again!! Figured that since you were technically open to any question, I want to hear your thoughts or views on this. I'm not sure if I could message you (because I'm very awkward and I can't exactly hold a conversation based on small topics) But, how do you feel about choosing something practically over passion? This question has always plagued me ever since it was brought up during class, and it provoked to me how practically was always chosen over passion as it would technically "help" them more than pursuing their passion.

Was choosing tech for you a more practical choice or were you passionate about it? I don't want to sound rude over this question, but it only occurred to me when you mentioned that you were working in a field that is quite more on the technical side. Do you see it as something similar to an art form as you develop products that could help improve lives tremendously? Or is it just a job that you expect to pay good?

(P.S Sharing these photos I took some time ago, I believe it was last year and it was submitted for a class. Hope you enjoy them as well! Not as much sun as the last one though)

First off. Before going into any of the content of this post. THAT GIANT SNAIL IS SOO COOL! I just recently found out that they exist and was just amazed by the size of them. GREAT PICTURE!!!

Alright lets unpack the content of this ask.

TLDR:

You got this I believe in you. Stand tall and proud and go for whatever your heart and head want. If they disagree pick one and evaluate later. Even if your heart and head dont know that is OK as the story of your life unfolds the path will become clear. If you are honest you can always move with confidence and never lose a moment of sleep.

I am choosing to dive deep into this again for a few different reasons. The reason I am doing this you are at a moment in time which you perceive to be important (final exams, deciding about life etc etc etc). The unfortunate thing is this moment is no more important then any other you will experience. All it is would nothing more then a "MileMarker" which you will use for evaluation later in life. That does not mean its not important. All that means is every decision you made every action you took got you to the moment you are in RIGHT NOW. So dont worry no matter your choice you will always make the right decision. Even if its wrong you will always gain insight and that insight will always lead to success if passion is applied.

how do you feel about choosing something practically over passion?

I am not sure if there is exactly a correct answer for this one. If there is I think the best one would be do whatever makes you happy, and the only way to find out what makes you happy is to try. One thing I have learned is sometimes money or love is not enough. One can have all the money in the world and be miserable. Same goes for love. One could be loved by the world and be empty inside. That answer is kind of B.S. for someone that is seeking input. With that being said I will go over some of my experiences. My very first job was at an auto mechanic shop. I used to love working on cars. I would spend my weekends doing it. I would hang out with my friends and all have a great time. So i figured it would be a good choice to work as a mechanic. So I went and got that job. I worked it for about 5 years. At the end of it I never wanted to work on cars again. To this day I will not even change my own oil because I hate it so much. Am I upset it turned out that way? Not at all. Life is all about the experience nothing more nothing less. That lesson for me was finding out what I did not like in life and was just as important in my journey as knowing what I liked. At the end of my mechanic experience I figured I should just go be a garbage man. I would get the same blue jump suit but instead of the trash coming to me I would go to the trash. Really all we can do is to try. There is no wrong answer. Even if one makes a choice and find out its wrong for you that is OK.

The reason I brought up the above being a mechanic. If i did not want the same thing to happen on my outlook of computers as it did for mechanics. It was because of this I did not get into tech. I loved it so much I did not want to risk ever hating it. So that is passion but born of practicality based on what is important to me and only me. This is was dictated by my previous experiences and not wanting to have any regret in life. More on this: I have always been interested in computers and tech. I grew up in a very poor household. We only ever had exactly what we needed and nothing more. My childhood was amazing. Yea at the time I wanted more but after I got older and realized how the world was I landed on the outlook of "I could not have asked for more and it was amazing even though it was viewed bad at the time". One of my best friends growing up his family was very rich. It was through him that I was able to get access to technology. From that my obsession was born. I loved tech so much I avoided it professionally because i did not want the same thing to happen as did with mechanics. Then one day just purely by happenstance a neighbor offered me a job. I decided at that moment you know what try it. Why not, I now knew the signs of when i might start to hate it. so why not. We can never have any form of regret. So at that first job I literally ran around a call center unplugging and plugging back in headsets. Was this something that made a difference in this world. No, was it something that I found great internal satisfaction. No. At this point did it provide me financial security. NO IT SURE DID NOT! It was until many years went by to get a chance to shine. When that moment came I was ready and I crushed it. From that moment it was all different. I gained both functional and passion in my career with huge paychecks. But you know what, none of that matters now. The only thing it provides is a story for others of my personal experience. None of it means anything right now and clearly I cannot seem to pay the bills. That is ok. I would not change my situation, the outcomes, my choices or or any aspect of how i got to this moment right now. As long as I continue to try, learn and adapt I will find my way. However none of that will happen if I never take steps on my own and try with every fiber of my being each day.

Based on that statement I feel how you are looking at this in the wrong context. That statement is taken from the third person. You need to have it worded something more like this. how practically was always chosen over passion as it would technically "help" me more than pursuing my passion. The context of that change is huge. Lets take a moment and reflect on that. I bring special attention to this because 1. We can never know what is best for any other person. Its hard enough knowing what is best for ourselves. Its ok to use other peoples stories and experiences as guidance in our own actions and decisions. It should never be our place to dictate what is best for another. We can never know that persons experiences, thoughts, emotions or context. We can offer guidance and feel happy we had an opportunity to share. 2. This now forces an action from the third person to a first person. This logic dictates something must happen. Even non action is an action and should be evaluated later and potentially adjusted. Sometimes non action is the best action. Often times its not though. Its all about that re-evaluation. 3. Experience is the most important thing in life. If you are struck in any form of "I wish I could...", "I always wanted to...", "Why cant i just...", "I don't know what ...". The only way to fix that is to do anything different. If you are frozen in a conversation start with one single word "Hello". If you are struck with any form of indecision just make one that is easier and more open ended. Instead of "I will make a final decision by", change it to "I try to evaluate my choices on", then take some time do a proper evaluation. Ok i wanted to try but i was unable to do that. Its ok that happened what can I do differently to "try anything else" and step with confidence in whatever choice you make. Even if its wrong there is never any regret because you made the best decision for you at the moment. Changing the view from "Observer" to "Doer" is what this context change provides. When an honest action is taken you can always do it with confidence no matter what it is. to Your final question. Money is a sign of a job well done. If you enjoy what you do you never work a day in your life.

In final thoughts: Tomorrow will never come and yesterday is just a story that only you care about. People might want specific things for you but none of that matters. Anyone who truly cares will want your happiness above all else. If that person cant understand that then they are probably not the best person to spend your time with. If you are living in the past you are depressed. If you are living in the future you are anxious. Its all about right now nothing more nothing less. Just smile, be confident and just do what is best for you and no one else. No decisions are final, you are free to change your mind at any time. Its ok not to know. We can never know the story of life through any other way then just living it how we choose. If future you is worried (anxious). Then present you should do something to set that person which don't know but implicitly care about up for whatever that success is defined as such by you. If past you is upset (depressed) about something then future you (currently present) can do something about it and make a change. Even if that change is wrong you can tell past you (depressed) that you tried and ask that person for advise and make adjustments accordingly. As long as you try you will always get exactly what you need. Survival is a very strange thing like that. It always is right up until it is not. The moments of survival in most cases outnumber the moments of conclusion. So dont ever worry the statistics are on your side.

Time is the only thing we never get back. I choose to spend my time happy. My personal definition of happiness has changed many times throughout life (story). Money will come for me as a result of that. So far it has worked out for me. To date I have survived (lived) far more moments then i have concluded (died). The same thing can be said about anyone reading this.

Conclusion: Each time i chose based on passion, One time I lost a passion. The other time I did not. Each time I was able to survive. Each time i gained valuable experience and understanding of who I was. I always succeed because I will always try hard and hopefully learn from my mistakes just enough to be good. I want to be happy in life and If at any moment I am not that is my measuring stick to make some kind of change.

Much like the seasons change is forced.

But we will always find the beauty of tomorrow. Even though we might have suffered a broken arm.

I feel like I've seen a lot of content about Ororon potentially dying due to the anemo curse, so now I have this fic idea in my head where the anemo curse is a real thing, and it's next target? Ororon. Cue angsty time loop where Ororon keeps getting killed right in front of Ifa while he keeps trying to prevent it.

Disclaimer: I'm not a fic writer and I don't really keep up with character backstories/characterization outside of like fanfiction, so these ramblings may be OOC/cringy. Read at your own risk!

This is loosely based off a time loop xiaoven fic I read a while ago on ao3 (which was soo good, I highly recommend), which I think was based on the (canon?) idea that Venti knew the time god, so maybe the anemo curse is like done by the time god who was resentful about being forgotten/potentially betrayed in some manner. I think it would make sense since it appears for many characters, they have their closest friend die, before/after they receive an anemo vision. So it's kind of like this curse does not care for the boundaries of time (since it's created by the time god who could control time). Whether the past, present, or future, all those who gain an anemo vision in any time are cursed to lose the one they care most about (or someone they care about, but the most seems more tragic, even if I'm not sure if this is the case for all anemo characters). Maybe this time loop could also be the time god's work, whose anger has dimmed through the years and now wishes to break the loop before more lives are lost.

I feel like there’d be a lot of angst potential with this. Ifa's technically not a human doctor but he is a vet, so there'd probably be some guilt/issues with not being able to save patients, which is great when Ororon keeps dying in front of him while he is helpless to do anything but watch.

There could also be some humorous parts if you write from Ororon's POV where he is unaware that he keeps dying, so Ifa is just randomly showing out of nowhere, acting very hypervigilant (and probably very OOC since he appears to be a pretty chill guy in the story) and basically following him everywhere while Ororon's like peacefully taking care of his aphids and vegetables, which I'm sure is sweet in a way, but also highly concerning because dude, what about your saurian patients? Idk I think I read somewhere that Ifa would be pretty busy with going all over the place to take care of patients, so why is he spending the day following Ororon around?

Maybe there could be a part where they (Ororon and Ifa, because Ifa's not letting Ororon out of his sight if he can help it) somehow travel to Mondstadt (maybe with the Traveller's tp point ability) when trying to find the origin of the curse or whatever. And I've read some theories? about Lisa dying in three years or something (I'm not sure if that's a canon thing though), so you could have some Ifa-Ororon-Jean-Lisa interactions since they're both under curse!

^I don't know if Ororon would know about the time loop at this point, but I think it'd be kind of funny if he had no idea and just followed Ifa to Mondstadt (because Ororon literally joined forces with the First Fatui Harbinger against his own archon, travelling to halfway across Teyvat gives the same vibes)

Ok soo.. Since the moment Mitsi was created, she was helping others. A really good trait to have of course. But that begs the question, has anyone ever helped her? I mean, sure victim and agent probably contributed business wise but im not really talking abt that. Agent Smiths one job is to protect, and provide security duh. But even so he was unable to do so in her last moments. He was injured and all he could do was watch it go down. And ofc realistically Mitsi doesn't mind.. But what IF she did? What if she saw multiple people, gathered around her. Just watching her struggle. She, who even in moments of distress was quick to save others, without an ounce of doubt. She would NEVER let someone struggle like that, at least not alone. And so there she was, struggling. Before she knew it KABOOM she's dead. And keep in mind this was most likely not a quick death, it wasn't like TDL's triangle weapon that just deleted their code, it was a legitimate explosion like she got injured beyond repair and died. Im not really sure how that even works but I digress. Her kindness really was her greatest weakness. In a Villian au I guess she would want to get some sort of revenge, im not sure what tho... I haven't really thought abt it that much I really need to sleep goodness. It's so late I can't process anything augh.

"you know i will not ever sleep at night" firstly, leander doesn't sleep, he's chugging monster and sucking the life essence out of orphans. or something. the second part "you walk in lookin' like a neon light / no sense in turning you off" read to me like leander sitting back and observing mc in order to further plot and plan.. there's no need to directly make mc do anything. he's not gonna outright force mc to stop seeing the other LIs. but he will always be watching from the sidelines to see if you take his advice, heed his warnings. y'know the old adage about how abusive men want a submissive woman but they always go after those who are independent in order to break them down. it's giving me that. leander is fascinated by mc and is absolutely gonna pull some strings, but he's also content just keeping an eye on them for now. controlling them in subtle ways. seeing how this plays out. i should probably mention this song is the prince singing about being bewitched by ella's magical disguise, but he's just a gross pervert and isn't actually looking for love. so there's inherently ulterior motives in the song due to the narrative; it's not a genuine love song, and i think that's why i ultimately decided to assign this to leander instead of ais (THAT'S NOT A DISS OK)

step on your grave: rebellious teenage girl vere makes a comeback :) this is a "i want that bitch dead" song that i think fits vere's relationship with his handlers and the senobium. it opens with ella talking about how her life was meant to go as the daughter of a respected family: "i was raised to be appraised / path was paved, dress was made" which parallels how vere was once revered as a god. he was once looked up to, feared, worshipped. he was once something, but now he's reduced to a mere hunting dog. in the song, ella is preparing food for her stepmother & sisters, but given they are trolls, the ingredients are pretty nasty, from frog guts to entire cats to maggot soup. she's disgusted and sick of this routine, which i think is a bit like vere getting sick of having to consume all these low-quality, tasteless souls... i can't imagine what he's hunting gives him much satisfaction at this point. mc was probably the yummiest yet. anyway, ella goes on to fantasize about putting her stepmother in a grave. "'cause i wish you nothin' but defeat / and i want nothin' for you but the least / and i know you're wishing i'd be sweet and behave / i want to step on your grave" AMENNN vere deserves to stomp his handlers imo watch: maybe i'm too presumptious when it comes to these things, but i only know so much about these characters and my mind definitely assigns certain tropes to them. vere gets rebellious teenage girl and :) girlboss sadism <3. if it's cunty and freaky and dark, it's vere to me. this song is all those things. it's stepmother severing ella's foot (à la the grimm cinderella tale) while she's forced to watch and feel alllll the pain & fear. very reminiscent of vere hunting and consuming mc alive <3 the song opens "my god, you're so lucky / for me to appear in your life / you were itching for a thrill / something to catch your eye" which reminds me of how vere seduces(?) people? i'm thinking of the trailer scene with all the hands grabbing at him. either way, he certainly uses his good looks and charming wit to take down people's guard, and he pities easy prey. last forever: WALK WITH ME WALK WITH ME this song is right after ella learns her childhood friends will be visiting in order to attend the upcoming ball, and for the first time in so long, ella will be able to feel like a normal person again. she can sing and dance and chitchat and wear her pretty dresses and not have to worry about being the servant of monstrous trolls. she sings about how she hopes this feeling lasts forever. "i've been thinking about this day as long as i remember / and i've been dreaming about how i can make it last / if i close my eyes i can see the best in front of me / ... this day will last forever" now i'm putting emphasis on that last line because, unfortunately, her two childhood friends do come to stay.. as skinsuits for her stepsisters. she wanted so badly to pretend everything is okay when it just never was and never could be. to me, this is like ais, burdened by loneliess, entering the pact with ocudeus thinking he'll never have to be alone again, but instead entering his own living nightmare. the faces of ella's childhood best friends twisted over the form of bloodthirsty trolls = the dozens of mangled voices echoing in ais's head at all times. ARE YOU FOLLOWING ME HERE?? you still got what you wanted! your expectations for it were just too high. ash to ash: ok so this is my favorite song. no it's not bc it has my name. no im not emotionally attached to cinderella she's not my favorite princess bc of the ash/cinder thing. why are you accusing me of such things im trying to MAKE A MUSICAL ANALYSIS TUMBLR POST FOR TOUCHSTARVED THE GAME. anyway this song is fucking awesome and i first associated it with kuras bc it's sung by a goddess and has lots of fire/starlight imagery which imo is biblical. but honestly? i thought abt it more and i changed my mind. it's for ais. at this point in the musical, ella accidentally summons the fairy queen of sweet dreams through the blood of her fallen friends and the righteous fury in her heart. the god asks ella what she desires, and ella tamely responds that she wishes for the world to be a good place. the goddess is offended by this lie and tells ella to share her true feelings. ella responds that she actually wants revenge, and the goddess is pleased to hear this, singing "it all turns to ash and ash / and dust to dust / there's nothing left but a vengeful lust / ... when the light goes out / only fire is just." she uses her power to bestow gifts and blessings upon ella in order for her to achieve this desire, much like how ocudeus bestows ais with power to serve a greater purpose. the fairy queen isn't afraid to give ella all she needs to destroy her enemies. she wants ella to achieve her deepest desire, no matter how much bloodshed that may cost. she almost seems to revel in the thought of bloodshed. she tells ella, "i forge you these three gifts / for your just intention / against your opposition / use them." ella asks "wisely?" and the fairy queen corrects, "hardly." this just reminded me of ocudeus wanting ais to know he's allowed to hurt others, recruit others, do whatever he wants for the greater purpose. these eldritch gods are gifting them power and they want it to be used. "a god will see that your enemies run."

mhin

castle on a hill: this opening song of the muscial is representative of the senobium's perception to outsiders and those desperate for the secrets within, like mhin or even mc. "there's a castle on the hill as the story goes / and it watches over us from across the moat / there are tales in those halls / are they true or are they tall?" the ivory tower senobium lords over its citizens with secrecy, much like the eponymous castle on the hill; with this power and secrecy comes speculation on what goes on behind the walls. this song is the townsfolk recounting theories and stories while wondering if the castle would ever let them in to see for themselves. "it watches us from its looming tower... i worship its sheer size / oh, the ballads it must hide / i need to know, will i ever know?" the first mc sees of mhin (in the demo) is them trying to scale the walls and enter the senobium. we know they want inside but we can only guess what for (a cure? answers? revolution?) and, similar to mc or other unknowing outsiders, they seem to idealize whatever the senobium holds. maybe they know something we don't, or maybe they're just holding out hope that the senobium will live up to its mythologized reputation. cursed crazy: i have a lot of sympathy for mhin's curse situation, which is why i love any kind of angst for them. sorry <3 this song is all the townsfolk ostracizing ella for having gone mad after the death of her parents. nobody believes what ella claims, and she seems batshit crazy with all the talk of murder plots and trolls in skinsuits. "cursed or crazy? / ... the guilt she's got, she's overwrought / that paranoid look, like the town is talking behind her back / lock her away! / destined to join her mother at the stake / weird and eccentric / completely estranged!" mhin is overly cautious about getting close to other people and prefers to keep solo, probably for a lot of reasons, but most notably i think they fear hurting innocent people above all else. they would already be ostracized because of their monstrosity but they choose it for themself anyway, so they're doubly alone. in the demo, you get the sense others almost blame mhin for being such a recluse (like leander trying to get them to open up, or vere teasing them) but we know there are definitely underlying reasons why mhin would rather keep to themself. i think this dynamic reflects ella's perspective in the song with all the townsfolk looking down on her, oblivious to the horrorific reasoning. there are also the lines "when fighting your demons alone / you know you're fucked or fated / destiny couldn't be sicker / whether you want it or not" which gives the doomed by the narartive vibes i associate with mhin.

kuras

ever after: he who is laden with guilt and must repent,, i bestow upon him this song about not knowing if you will achieve (or even deserve) a happy ending. "just as the rain might fall / i've been bracing for years / has living with pain / eroded the last of my fears? / am i ready?" if a beautiful angel lived centuries on earth in order to make up for mistakes in heaven,, would he no longer fear his demise? would he acquiesce just as humans do to mortality? would he accept his punishment and finally free himself of all the guilt just so he may die in peace? "kings rise, kings fall / ... is it my time, or was it long ago? / will it ever after happily? / or will it all turn to dust?" or will he get to live, free of penance, finally? orrrrr will the harbiger of chaos and ruin make a return as the world succumbs to biblical destruction? you tell me (also a bunch of lyrics from other songs make a reappearance, which to me is fitting for kuras since he seems to be a pretty neutral touchstone for all the Lis in one way or another) trappings of starlight: strangely fitting how we're ending on the last full song of the musical ... well trappings of starlight is a "we won!" song with an heavy, underlying sadness for those that couldn't make it to the end. it also has some symbolism from ash to ash that fits well for kuras if you recall what i said about that in ais's section. "in trappings of starlight / all of the people / will get back together now / sunset and sunrise / fearsome and regal / ashes belie a crown" i think sunset & sunrise, fearsome & regal are apt descriptions for an angel, and even more than that, ashes belie a crown is soooo holy hellfire to me. the trappings of starlight is ella's dress crafted from the last flickering light in the eternal dark, infused with magic (and very irradiated glass coded) and due to this, when the prince tries to remember her face after the ball, he can only see fire and starlight. much like if you happened to encounter an angel! "i know you're worthy / for what we've been through / an unforgiving journey / but we've arrived at the truth" doesn't kuras just want to be worthy? of love, of forgiveness, of hope? i think he feels very removed from these rather ordinary things, whether bc of his extraordinary nature or because he was deemed unworthy of them in the past. whatever the case may be, i think this song fits him well. "gracious and lethal / lifting the heavy crown" like that's just kuras. "my love will be fierce! / and your love will be missed" is because mc will perish long before kuras ever will, just as all the others that preceeded them... but he won't love mc with any less conviction, with any less heart.

Rei Amayado and Love.

Ok so ik there are a lot of unknowns about rei and honestly im no where near qualified enough to talk about ANY of the hypmic characters in the detail im about to go. But i like to think i know a decent amount of info and lore to make a good assumption. I could be totally wrong about some things soo pllleeeaassseeee dont take me entirely seriously

But the conversation between rei and nayuta confirmed a lot of things for me. A lot of things i was speculating that i havent really seen anyone else talk about

In the drama track, rei comes to the realization that he lets himself shoulder everything despite having the support that he could turn to rely on. Even when nayuta was still awake and with him, he had the bad habit of pushing everything onto himself.

The line that really stood out to me was nayuta asking if he was going to play the villain, to which he responds with a curt "yes" and this. Right there. Is exactly what ive been thinking this entire time.

Its really nothing new that ohhh rei is the bad guy hes morally grey hes hurt people You Shouldnt Really Trust Him. And rosho denounces all of that with pushing sasara to think "who is he really?" now i know that whole portion was supposed to lead sasara into his own growth but seriously. Who is rei? They knew he was a conman, they knew he was shady, unserious, and pushed things off. But rosho says that it was just a persona he built up, and hes correct.

We all knew rei was a deeper character than they let on, it was obvious to us, but not to them. Though its still kinda funny sasaro just said "yeah we guessed" when he said he was bb's father LMAOAOAOAOA not slick at all... but anyways where am i going with this ?

Rei has quite obviously put up a persona to the people around him. He doesnt want to be suspected, he doesnt want people knowing too much about him. So he pretends. That whole comical uncle spiel was just a means of hiding from everyone, and most importantly, himself. I dont think he really wants to face his reality. Of course he takes responsibility and is *painfully* aware of it, but he doesnt seem like he wants to accept it. Now im mostly talking about nayuta here, in the dt he said he would do basically whatever it took to keep nayuta by his side when she mentioned her not being there anymore. And what is he doing now? Keeping her comatose body on publicly unknown island to protect her, and watch over her state.

What about his kids? As far as im aware theres no reason we were given for him leaving bb. Hes accepted the fact hes nolonger an important part of their lives, sure hes important to a degree, but not in a parental way. Im sure its fair to assume he left bb around the time nayuta was sent comatose. So what i think: he left for their own safety.

He left them to make sure they wouldnt get wrapped up in the politics he did. Their mother got hurt, whose to say chuuohku wouldnt target his children next? They knew what was important to him, so he forced himself to think of them as unimportant. He left them so they wouldnt meet the same fate, nayuta is gone, he cant have her children following.

But that was when they were young. Now that they are more grown, things have changed. They are drb participants, and isnt the whole point of the drbs to train potential true hypnosis mic users? Those mics? The mics that kill users? Why would he allow that? I personally think that its just a matter of "they are grown, they can make their own decisions." mixed with "they could possibly survive it and help me create nayutas ideal world."

Even before the 2nd drb, dont you think it was odd how he randomly came to jirosabu one day and revealed that he was their father? What were the motives? Ive always interpreted it as him helping them in his own odd way. He knew their bonds were strong, so maybe if he gives them a challenge, he could strengthen those bonds while simultaneously pushing himself away. Which woah !! Exactly what he did. Jiro got some really good character developmemt out of that one, and bb started resenting him even more. Keeping them together is his goal, afterall its all they have.

So he got what he wanted. He pushed those that he loved and cherished away to protect them from his issues. So... Whats up with sasara and rosho? Notoriously, he told them almost nothing about himself. But with this new dt he revealed EVERYTHING. A new level of intimacy for our current time rei. He was vulnerable with them, when he was so used to makimg other vulnerable.

I think his relationship with sasaro is very healing for him. For all of them, actually, both he and sasara have a tendency to push others away for either their protection, or his own protection. And rosho is a catalyst of "thats so stupid wtf" and is essentially helping them find themselves after he found his own self.

Of course human growth is always happening, rosho is no where near done growing. As we see in the dt he is growing right in front of us, gaining more confidence in himself. And sasara and rei are still so far from really allowing themselves to grow. In a way, they are ashamed for their lack of growth. Sasara getting antsy over the fact rosho pointed out his habit of never getting involved. And rei reflecting back on nayuta when he just got done actively pushing sasaro away. Nayuta was the only person who *actually* forced him to think of different perspectives and not rot in his own.

While nayuta is gone, sasara and rosho are good stand ins. Will he love them like he loved her ?? NO !!! That man is a wife lover through and through. But theres one thing about hypmic that i absolutely adore, and its their utilization of platonic love. Rei is slowly learning to cherish sasara and rosho just as they are him. Its obvious sasaro already cherish and love each other on some level, with sasara immediately thinking of roshos dreams when met with his own to start comedy with him again. He didnt want to enroach on roshos new found identity. And rosho, pushing sasara to find his own new identity. And so many more examples.

But with rei, he stopped himself from cherishing and loving, keeping himself in the past where the only person he has ever, truly, loved with his whole heart resided. So when met with two people who had a bond like he once did, he stayed stagnant and kept himself where he was. That was, until they forced him not to.

So who is rei? Rei amayado, Rei yamada. I think he is a man that loves, truly loves.

Everything that he does was done from a place of care. Was he perfect? No. Not at all. Ramuda exists now, but to him that was a side point in getting nayuta back, and creating their shared world. He did it for nayuta, everything for nayuta. Because he loved her. And absolutely still does. He did it for his children, because in some way he still cares. Even if he acts like he doesnt. And now he is continuing on for his strengthening bonds with sasara and rosho, because they are giving him a chance to recount himself, and find out who he wants to be in his future. He isnt done living despite his old age, he has so much more to do and figure out, things he thought he could only do with nayuta by his side. Of course he wants her back, desperately, he truly thought she would never leave him. But now she has, and even though she isnt with him, he has the opportunity to restart with sasara and rosho. And hopefully be a changed man when nayuta comes back.

Rei, no matter what name he takes, is a man who loves, and will continue loving.

ok dumb question but. i loooove ur thrushpelt amv ive watched it so many times and i want to get into doing similar videos maybe?? im really new to sophisticated editing software so... how do you do that like, sun line spinning effect in the background at 1:42 and also later in the video thank u soo much 👉👈

heres how i did it for that video:

draw your sun and export it as png file

put it into your editing program (I'm using da vinci resolve)

move the anchor point into the centre of your sun

4. place a keyframe for "rotation angle" at the start of the png (or whenever you want your sun to start spinning). Wherever (or rather whenever) your playerhead is = is where the keyframe will be placed. Keyframes are how the editing program moves things around. Placing this first one at the beginning of your timeline basically = "I want this to be the start position of this png".

5. Go to the end of whenever you want your sun to stop spinning. Place another keyframe there. This basically = "I want this to be the end position of this png"

6. Keeping your playerhead on that keyframe you just put, rotate the sun png to change its position. (in adobe premiere which is the program I used to edit the thrushpelt video, I could just use the transform controls to spin it around n around and it would just keep counting how many rotations I made yaay simple. In da vinci resolve it looks like that just makes it reset back to 0 degrees when you rotate back around to the start lol So that means I had to manually type in "600" degrees to get it to rotate multiple times; like how 365 degrees would be 1 full rotation, so 600 would be around 2 full rotations.)

And here I'm showing method 2: manually typing in "600" degrees in the "rotation angle" setting, and then I'm playing the video to see it spin

7. Play the video and see if you like how it looks, and adjust to your liking (to edit a keyframe, just make sure your playerhead is at whenever you placed the keyframe).

More rotations = it'll spin faster. Why? Imagine if someone told you to spin around only 1 time within 10 seconds. You might have to even deliberately slow down to spin only once within that time. BUT if they told you to spin around 50 times within 10 seconds? You'd have to spin real fast to make sure you spun around enough within that same time frame.

8. Also: To make it rotate clockwise/counter-clockwise (whatever the other direction is), just put a "-" next to the number to make it negative 600.

In that video above you can also see how because my playerhead wasn't on the exact spot of one of the previous keyframes I made, it automatically made a new third keyframe when I changed the rotation setting to "-600". Then when I play the video, we can see it first spins the same like in step #6 (because those first 2 keyframes are still the same), and then start spinning the opposite direction ("-600"). It also spins a lot faster mainly because while those first 2 keyframes are about 3 seconds apart, key frame #2 and the new keyframe #3 are like 1 second apart

(again imagine spinning around 5 times within 10 seconds vs trying to spin around 5 times within 1 second; for the latter you'd have to spin a lot faster)

(*it technically is Also spinning faster because instead of going from 0 degrees (keyframe #1) to 600 degrees (keyframe #2) which is a difference of 600 (0 minus Positive 600 yay math), it's going from 600 degrees (keyframe #2) to -600 degrees (keyframe #3) aka a difference of 1200, a much larger distance (600 minus Negative 600 yay math))
