you already talked about jayroytim, but how about dickroytim? 👀👀👀
and it all starts with roy and tim, while dick is seething with rage and jealousy in the background and stubbornly arguing that it's all just bc tim is his younger brother, and not something that roy's dirty brain came up with!
oooh, YES. i LOVE this. your mind. especially if it starts with RoyTim instead of the expected DickRoy or DickTim? that's so good. it's the definition of Roy being a little shit, accidentally seducing Dick's younger brother and sleeping with him. i think it's fun if this specifically highlights Roy's fuckboy era, where he slept with just about anyone and wasn't shy about hiding it, as opposed to him being a bit more mature and careful about sleeping around with Tim, knowing Dick would disapprove. (thinking specifically about the time Roy slept with Helena, Dick's complicated ex situationship and when Dick asked Roy was very casually like "oh dw man i wouldn't get between you two like that, i only slept with her!" and just being so casual about it)
Roy *could* hide it from Dick, and tbh he knows he should. but it's a family full of detectives anyway, so what's the point? Roy can only make up so many excuses for being in Gotham and if Tim is old enough to consent, it's none of Dick's business. even if Roy is sort of rubbing it in his face to *make it* his business. i am delighted by the idea that Roy is almost getting off to how angry Dick is about it. Dick doesn't have a lot of good arguments about why Roy *can't* do this. the "he's basically my baby brother" argument doesn't go very far, and it doesn't seem to be stopping Tim. Tim can pretend to be annoyed and scolding Roy about all the bragging, but Roy sees the hidden smiles.
i think it's also fun if Tim is purposefully doing this to rile Dick up. maybe he and Dick have danced around the idea of feelings, but Dick has always shut down their long stares and lingering touches by saying how Tim is like a brother to him. and so, Tim wants to call his bluff. if he's just Dick's brother, than Dick has no right to get jealous over who Tim does or doesn't like. and Roy is two birds with one stone. not only is he someone for Tim to sleep with to make Dick jealous, Dick's *best friend*, even. but he's someone Tim has genuinely had a thing for, and it's easy for him to play it off as though Roy was the one who came onto him and not Tim making himself obvious bait. he's honestly shocked it's worked as well as it has, with Dick seething every time Tim and Roy are in the same room, even if they're behaving. he lets Roy make the jokes about their sex life and show displays of affection because Tim knows it's building and building for Dick, and eventually, he's going to break.
only Dick went a little too hard on the "brothers" excuse and now it's an excuse sort of believes, which adds a delightful bit of incestual vibes to it. bc Dick tells Tim that he *made his point* a little too late, and now Tim actually likes Roy. so Dick is going to have to explain this to Roy too. and somehow, the awkward conversation leads to Roy suddenly being very interested in an incest kink and seeing exactly how "brotherly" they are-
them all sleeping together is Roy's suggestion, and Tim is *definitely* into the idea, and even Dick is more on board then he expects to be. maybe he and Roy fooled around once when they were kids and it was never thought about beyond a sexuality exploration sort of thing for both of them. but now, Dick has to admit it wouldn't be the *worst* sight to see Roy fuck Tim. after all, Roy has to show Dick how Tim likes it. and Roy is *really* leaning into the brothers thing the whole time.
after the first few times they sleep together, i think Dick would just accept Tim and Roy are a package deal. and of all his friends, Roy really can't be the worst one to date. all the fuckboy stuff stripped away, Roy is a great boyfriend and makes sure Dick and Tim are more than happy. he remembers anniversaries and little "just because" gifts. and he's a great dad, which somehow adds to it all.
anyway yes, i love the potential of these three together with Roy being a Little Shit the entire time just because he can.

The bullet points help me focus actually so dw.
The trapped aspect is the same one I felt watching that episode in my first few lines - it literally felt claustrophobic. - I feel like I'm frequently waiting for them to go outside and see some greenery or flowers if only for a change of pace. This show does a good job of putting us in our characters shoes. Also thank you for answering my ask so soon I legit did not realize how long it was from my phone.
I never caught the thing about natural light being blinding but it makes perfect sense now that I think about it. I feel like most of their very important Actually Being Outdoors scenes are very bright if they're even in daylight at all. I'm thinking of that time on the boat again when Rome asked if they could be normal together and 3x09 i.e. the gigantic sun hat episode. Meanwhile a good chunk of the time they do leave the ATN office they're in the dark. The more recent episodes at the bar and such come to mind, but so do earlier scenes like the kids joking around in the canal at Shiv's wedding. There might be a thread there about sunlight being used for certain feelings generally left undealt with on a day to day basis while the Roy's generally feel more comfortable in the dark, maybe?
The common thread here I'm seeing between the sun and the walls they're in is that the Roys are usually trapped by their father/the company on a day to day basis but, and, *as a result* frequently find the real world overwhelming. Venturing outside of their father's walls, literally and figuratively (i.e. his actual owned buildings or even just the upper echelons of society, if they even leave Waystar 90% of the time when they go abroad), makes them uncomfortable. Downright going outside makes them vulnerable. They usually go out at night, and usually into other buildings, where it's harder for them to be seen and for them to see others (according to them, subconsciously). Therefore, going outside into the blazing sunlight is probably the most uncomfortable they can be.
There's probably something to be said here about Kendall on top of the world (to him), finally killing his dad for good (to him), and going out to the ocean by himself, full of courage and unafraid, but at dusk.
I'm not familiar with. well. money. so I can't talk much about capitalistic aesthetics, but I did notice that Outside/Not Office scenes frequently stand out just because they're not fucking glass and white walls all the time even if the landscape is "objectively" boring. The background of the confession scene in 3x10 was damn near monochromatic at certain points and it's still one of the most iconic scenes in the show. There's probably also something there about Kendall's pants being covered in sand at the beach while having a breakdown. They don't even touch grass dirt.
I didn't notice the bathroom theme before I got to your blog (<- genuinely terrible at finding metaphors) but now that I'm thinking about 3x10 I'm thinking about the waiter again and how this ties into it. Not just the outside stuff, although that's there (hey, Kendall went from bravely going out but still at night to dunking his head underwater. Whoops! Sucks for him) but also the bathroom where he washes all the dirt and blood off. It's not even the waiters blood. Kendall is the one we see sit in the dark the most often of the top of my head and I think the bloody bath scene isn't much different in a weird sense.
Succession's character placement (wrong word) in these hostile corporate environments is so deliberate it manages to make Rome brushing his teeth by himself interesting to watch. I'm not even into him. Hard agree on how tight the episodes feel also although I don't know things about theater so I can't speak about that, although I imagine limiting the scenery per episode probably helps with that feeling..
Looping back to your last point and mine, Kendall's comment about "why was [Sophie] on the street?" still sticks with me. Of course he wouldn't let her be in the street - there's drivers for that. Logan can whine about how spoiled his kids but he wouldn't have let them walk downtown by themselves. I wouldn't be surprised if their enforced isolation through his wealth probably mirrors his unenforced, more organic isolation Logan puts himself in. Logan doesn't have friends that aren't post-Wayatar business people for whatever reason Logan doesn't have friends, and Shiobhan doesn't have friends because Logan wouldn't have let her have one unless she asked or they were already a Roy from the start.
I think the moral of this story is that Succession is its own ouruborus and we're just watching witnessing it with little bottles of hand sanitizer trying to get them to stop. Stop eating your own tail, stop trying to get more money or power, stop self actualizing like that, find a hobby, you get it.
I apologize if there's something already on your blog about this and I didn't find it, but I was watching tailgate party and realized that Shiv had spent the entire episode pacing around one apartment complex 6000 steps over and that the Roys do this a lot.
My memory of the last few seasons is fuzzy (<- binged it before and now doesn't remember shit) but I feel like the Roys spend a lot of time in very large, usually open spaces, with wide walls and tall ceilings, and usually ones we've seen before or are expected to see again and that a lot of important scenes happen *outside* of these spaces. Important meaning either big moments or iconic ones or sometimes just transitonary. Kendall had his Next-Jesus moment out in the ocean, Tom started throwing water bottles in that cramped ass escape room or talked about his marriage out on the beach, the entirety of Kill List happens outside of ATN offices, Logan meets Mattson for the first time on a personal island, Roman went to a random one story office environment for a fucking business school and was never the same character (well. compared to S1 Roman) again, they have that reverse Jesus thing over cruises on a cruise ship, etc. I feel like plane scenes could both fit into this or break it depending on the season but at least for other scenes I feel like there's a pattern here.
Outdoor spaces or parts where they actually put their shoes outside onto sidewalk always feel semi important to me but it doesn't even have to be outdoors specifically. Like, even just the honeymoon suite was different enough from every other building we'd seen the show have, and that's when Shiv admitted to cheating!
Do you think there's something to this, or do you have your own thoughts? I'd be interested to hear more if only to appeal to my ego ;-). There's other things that could connect to this like the grey-white-brown-dark blue color palette damn near every scene is in vs. scenes with real color inside of them and Kendall's asking why Sophie was "on the street" being indicative of how he thinks she should be raised (based on how he was raised and also how he can recognize the manipulation and abusive inherent to his father's parenting but not the more subtle isolation and neglect) and the fact the Roys are literally running an actual rat race while trapped inside Waystair Rocyo 1/2 the time but I have to stay focused on one thing when I write shit down even if I'm connecting dots in my head or else this ask won't even be remotely legible.
[If you already wrote about this - sorry! I hope this makes sense. Either way, have a good night, and fingers crossed something fun happens at Logan's funeral. I still want Tom to fight someone. It won't happen but it'd be funny as hell lol]
yeah i haven't really written anything comprehensive on this, but i do think there are a few interesting points with regards to how the show uses the characters' environments. forgive me for bullet-pointing lol, maybe you can help string these things together into something more cohesive. but:
yes, the characters often spend most of an episode trapped in one location, even one building. in part i think this is a function of the presence of playwrights on the writing staff, and the way many episodes flirt with the three classical unities of tragedy writing (time / place / action). so, lots of episodes are 1 day only, or 2 or 3 max, and often a character will be mostly confined to one location during that span. in part this helps make each individual episode really tight internally, but it also contributes to that persistent sense that the characters are trapped (within their circumstances, company, family, etc)
indoor vs outdoor is an interesting thread. one thing that has always stood out to me is that the show has a tendency to use natural sunlight not as refreshing, enlightening, etc, but as blinding, overwhelming, and even dangerous. the sun almost kills logan in s3, there are those shots in 2x10 and 3x09 where everyone's squinting in the bright light, there's a similar effect in 'austerlitz', etc. this contributed to the overall sense of discomfort that the roys experience, despite all their material luxuries; it also contributes to the sense that nature and the natural world is an alien, external force that appears threatening—this sense also comes out in all of the animal metaphors they use, which emphasise the brutality they see in the animal kingdom and in nature generally
if we're talking places, i also must bring up the presence of bathrooms on the show. these are quotidian rooms, but also dangerous ones, in the sense that they exist to purge a civilised society of its filth, and the whole process tends to be marginalised and wilfuly ignored. so, i've always liked that succession has a lot of scenes set in bathrooms, and often characters are able to speak differently in the bathroom—sometimes more intimate (kendall and stewy, tom and logan in 3x05), or more direct (greg and logan in 2x08), or they're allowed to say things they couldn't elsewhere (roman and mencken). bathrooms are also sheltered personal spaces, where the characters can retreat and hide (kendall using them to do coke, shiv practicing a smile in 1x02, greg rehearsing his congressional testimony)
the waystar offices obviously have that very 21st-century glass-and-steel aesthetic that telegraphs new money, a certain neoliberal attempt at severance from systems of social and cultural meaning-making, etc. so, moving the characters to other locations is effective because, in contrast to the kind of soullessness of the waystar building, it makes the other places stand out and emphasises the meaning we can glean from the sets alone (like, the gut-punch of dodds's house in contrast to the sort of corporate default)
in regards to the idea of control and confinement within luxe spaces—yes, this is clearly something we see many of the environments convey (the ultimate expression of this being the anti-suicide wall that logan puts up to pen kendall in). this is really a discrete material expression of how waystar operates in a broader sense, constraining people whilst appearing to create more options and more freedom (also a basic characteristic of neoliberal modes of production, lol)
again i'm not sure i have a thesis statement here unifying all of these observations lol. but i do think the show does well at using its environments and settings to tell us a lot about the characters, the company, and the broader world they inhabit.

Spoilers for... alot idk just alot, alot of different things, very vague non-specific but they're there
I need an actual list of how old the court of darkness characters are cus my brain is gonna eat itself
The age gaps are implied like, such and such is the same age as such and such, this character is older than that character, or what's his face and what's his face are close in age, things like that
I automatically assume these bitches are in their 20s so no older than 29, no younger than 20
But I tell you right now, some things do not add tf up🤨🤨
I feel like they only said Lou and mc were around the same age just so they can be like 'nah he's not an old man so yall can date dw'
Which gotta be a fucking lie cus apparently this bitch was the headmaster for the kings aswell so clearly this man is an old geezer💀💀
If we assume they're all the same age then shit is more complicated because who's older then who doesn't line up with their birth months
I think it's safe to assume Qelsum and Avari were the first to produce an heir to the throne, making Toa and Guy the oldest but if we assume they're all born in the same year that would make Guy the youngest cus this bitch born in November💀
Mc gotta be in her mid to late 20s if we assume shes been through college already. not that you cant be in college in your mid to late 20s but yk early twenties is considered 'college age' if you go to college after highschool yk
Thaumaturges live longer then regular humans so we can already throw away the idea that these bitches are in their 20s, they probably old asf and we ain't even know it
BUT-
A nice ripe age to start having kids is like mid to late twenties, not that you have to have kids in your twenties but health wise if you don't want complications in the future, and yk sometimes in stories the kings are like 'alright your old enough to breed someone... pick one.😐' and have an assortment of young women like this a goddamn candy shop so I dont know, but these bitches live longer than normal so they can full be 50 and popping out bare babies like a goddamn beehive
AINT NO FUCKING WAY THE HEADMASTER SO DAMN YOUNG NAH
it was actually the mcs familiar that said Lou was young like 'omg milady he looks like hes the same age as you' no the fuck he's not, that man gotta be fucking 60
Fuck a dilf, that man old enough to be a gilf💀💀
I bet the headmaster is like 70, the kings are in their 50s, and the consorts are like 23-30. Aging is like mad ambiguous so if the headmaster really is old asf I'm asking what his skin care routine is cus-
WHAT ABOUT GRAYSON OMG
GRAYSON DON'T HAVE MAGIC WHAT TF ARE MUNDANES LIFE EXPECTANCY
Yall-
What if Grayson is actually the youngest one out of everyone--
What if Grayson is actually mad young and everyone else with magic coursing through their veins just has a baby face cus the magic is keeping them youthful
Bro.
Look at Thoma, then look at Grayson.
What if Thoma is like 30 and Grayson is idk fucking 19 but Thoma has a baby face cus hes a thaumaturge and Grayson just ages faster cus hes not
...
I think I'm thinking way too hard about this--
No but let's talk-
Lynt and Roy are the same age, Rio is younger than Roy but somewhat close in age but closer to Sherry, apparently Rio has a bunch of siblings, like more than just Teto, Toa is older than Guy but relatively close in age, Guy and Aquia are close in age(or at least closer in age then they are to Zev) Toa and Lynt have to be relatively close in age cus didn't they know each other as kids, well I guess most of the princes knew eachother if not briefly as kids but I swear they're somewhat close, idk where Fenn or Lance fits in here but they're somewhere in between everyone, Lou essentially raised Dia so how old does that make Dia- How is Lou- listen I'm telling you Lou is an old geezer
What is the age gap between the consorts and the mc?!?!
Very off topic but I have the strange inkling that Lynt was conceived during birthdays sex.

A ChatMouse (and Roi Singe, to Heck Things Up) Teamup
And it goes like this~
Ladybug goes missing!
Not really, but Marinette is hit by the akuma and loses her most treasured memory, which is being Ladybug. Tikki loses Marinette, so that gets worse fast. Tikki's looking for her holder. It takes a while, but she's not dumb, she just panics blindly a while. When she makes herself calm down and think, she takes in the situation and notices the world is too different, it's changed. She realizes the holder she's looking for (the one before Marinette) wouldn't even be alive! She is, however, present... which means the earrings must be in-use... but she can't locate them. What do they even look like?!
So Chat Noir finally realizes LB is missing. He panics too, who wouldn't? Without LB, whatever damage is done cannot be undone! Looks like things are serious now! Can Chat even do serious...?
So he sends a signal to the other heroes (it's an anonymous group chat lol). Marinette and Kim notice. I'm going to say Xuppu carries his miraculous (because it's chaotic, just like them) and delivers it when required.
Marinette, well, her situation is more chaotic, since her memories of being Multimouse are tied in to simultaneously being Ladybug. The only thing she remembers clearly is that she is not Ladybug, and... viewing herself from a really low perspective? She knows she's not supposed to be reinstated, Ladybug said so, but... she's in the chat, so that counts for something? She's named MultiMe in there, so she's probably not supposed to be an informant like ALadYbloggerA (subtle...).
But... if she's supposed to be Multimouse, where is her miraculous? Is she supposed to wait? Is she supposed to get it? Did she lose it? Maybe... it's hidden? Where would someone (¿she?) hide a miraculous?
Chat Noir's running after Roi Singe, yelling at him to focus on the battle and not goofing off. You know, for irony.
If she'd hidden it in the trash, she'd have accidentally thrown it out by now! What a disaster!!! Wait, she'd have thought of that. You'd really think it'd be in the jewelry box, but no. She tries on a couple things, just to make sure. There may be a mirror involved.
Chat may or may not have had several consecutive heart attacks. How many lives does he have left!?
Why are there thumbnail-sized macarons in her purse? (Why did she not check her purse first?) No kwami, though, only kwami-sized—oh, they're kwami treats! That... makes sense...? She thinks? Do kwami eat? Why did she have them if she has no kwami? Wait, does she make kwami food? It sounds about right, but why doesn't she remember? Why would she lose her memories of baking? Her passion is fashion, she's sure. Only thing that'd make baking cooler is if she were cooking magic. Oh, they're magic! Maybe... She'll hold on to them just in case~
Chat doesn't know how Roi Singe has managed to use Uproar twice and they've only made things worse. He can't smack people, especially when they're not wearing their supersuit, so he settles for facepalming himself.
Marinette checks the chat, seeing no new messages and gets concerned. She'd assumed someone or other would've responded by now! She's here taking her sweet time! Is everyone still alive!? Oops, she didn't mean to 'send that out loud'— Ok. Wild guess! She runs off to Grumpa Dupain's house. Hiding the mouse miraculous with mice (they're rats) makes sense, in a way that doesn't make sense at all... but nothing that's made sense has given results, so time to try another strategy!
Chat's crying tears of relief. Multimouse is on! They're saved! Wait, does she even have her miraculous? What if she doesn't have her miraculous?!
Dw, she's working on that! (Not very reassuring with an akuma rampaging over your head.) She barges in, says hello—to the rats. They're domestic rats and have manners, so she should be polite back. There's Grumpa too hello goodbye. Don't ask how rats understand French, but yes, turns out they did have the mouse miraculous stashed! (Still doesn't make sense.) She'll explain later! (No she won't.) Rushes off to the battle.
Mullo is giving her the rundown while on the run. Mari makes an in-chat call, to Chat's short-lived relief. Roi Singe decides to launch himself back into the fray like two seconds too fast for Chat to react. Great! (That's sarcasm.) Uh oh, caught the akuma's attention!!
They probably didn't expect to get drop-kicked by someone one third of their size. Chat Noir is simultaneously elated and absolutely horrified. Snatch and run. Chat grabs Marinette, Marinette grabs the akuma's weapon.
Is she crazy!? Did he go crazy? Are they all crazy!? What do you mean wearing a miraculous doesn't automatically bestow superstrength and agility??? She needs to hide her face and put on some protective gear, which means she needs to transform, like, five minutes ago! But Mullo didn't explain everything—No time!
Wait, the weapon! Nice catch, she should be a professional~ Oh, but she is! She has the medal (miraculous) to prove it. Multimouse suits up and the first thing she tests her actual superstrength on is the weapon. Unfortunately, no butterfly. Looks like they're going for round two! (More like 25913.) That is a suspiciously specific number.
Does Chat Noir have any ideas? Sure, but he's gone through the alphabet about three times and Roi Singe is not going along with any plan! Her solution is, if they won't join you, you join them! These three manage to put all their royal disaster energy together and keep up the fight! (Nobody really knows who's winning.)
Without Ladybug's lucky charm, they don't have any real clue as how to end this. It's harder to fight while keeping up their guard. Chat Noir has the most experience, but he's been slacking his style and realizes he really should've kept up form. But hey, never too late to learn! (Is that supposed to be sarcasm??? Is that a joke?? Is she mocking him?) Multimouse insists they're not without means! They don't need junk (meowch) to fall from the sky, there's plenty lying around~
Roi Singe goes to act as the diversion. (Eyes on the akuma!) Multimouse scrambles to grab whatever looks useful, Chat cataclysms a section to serve to cage their opponent. They go through the pile (¿are they building a trap or a house?) and pull out what they need to rig the mechanism to make it work. Mulmouse (lol) scurries off to join Roi Singe in baiting the akuma, while Multimouse waits to release the trigger. They manage to capture the akuma, but instead of going to plan it gets caught between two failsafes that crossed due to Multimouse and Chat Noir not being entirely coordinated in the setup. It's actually pretty funny, and it manages to immobilize the akuma so they can locate the item where the butterfly is hiding.
Win!
Wait... What now...? (Wow, they really made a mess with that trap.... Can superheroes be sued for vandalism?) What are they supposed to do with the akuma!?
A very hungry red bugmouse thinks butterflies look tasty! It's not. It's gross.
Well~
That's one problem solved!
*sounds like something broken got broken-er in the background*
[ Cue end of this episode because healthy sleeping patterns (lies) call! ]

I don't mean to be a bother, and you don't have to do this if you don't feel up to it. But from what I've perceived you love Hector. So I ask of you, could you more or less provide me an analysis of Hector's character. I want to be represent Hector as accurately as possible. I'm researching the common traits between Hector and Holmes of Tear Ring Saga. Thank you for your time.
I love Hector? Nooo what could havepossibly given it away??? 😞
I gotchu fam dw, screaming about Hector is pretty muchmy default state of being. In fact, I’m flattered you asked me, though I’m not sure if I’m the best person to do this. I don’t think I’ve everwritten an elaborate character analysis before, but you know what, as a wise woman once said, I’ll… do mybest.
Hope you like reading though. Like. A lot.
(Spoilers for FE7 & FE6 under the cut)
OK, so before I start I must say most of this is just me interpretingthis character based on what—relatively—little we know about him from thegames, given that he’s always a side protagonist of sorts in comparison toEliwood, even in his own story mode. It’s also been a while since I played theElibe games so forgive me if I’m missing anything. I tried to remain asobjective as possible, though some slight bias might slip through now and thenbecause I just love FE7 and its characters… a little too much. Which alsoexplains why it got so lengthy… again… woops.
Hector… You could very well argue he’s just another gentle giant archetypecharacter. And if I’m to judge from Hector’s popularity, this is precisely whatpeople love about him, including myself. But I do think that his character goesa little deeper than just that as well. What I personally think makes this particularcharacter stand out is his relationship with his best friend Eliwood, and Iwould even go as far as to say that the dynamic between these two carry thisgame’s plot for the most part. Eliwood, as well as his other friends and lovedones, are the driving force beyond pretty much anything Hector does, if youthink about it. This is shown immediately in an early encounter with Hector: whenhe finds out Elbert is missing, he doesn’t even hesitate for a second. He hasmade up his mind: he’s going to help his friend get his father back, because it’s essential to him that he spares hisbest friend the loss of a parent, a feeling he himself knows all too well.He quite literally goes out of his way to achieve this, defying his brother’sdirect orders even though he’s probably very well aware that Uther simplywishes to protect his younger brother and last remaining family member. Hector, however, just cannot afford to lose what’s at stake and has to ignore hisbrother’s wishes. Right now, Eliwood needs his aid more than anyone, and intheir supports, Eliwood points out that he already knew that this would beHector’s choice, because of their blood oath to always come to each other’s sidewhen in need.
I’m convinced Hector is actually a way more sympathetic and emotionalperson than he lets on. In his supports with Eliwood he’s casually checking inon him to see if he’s not overworking himself, and Eliwood picks up on this andappreciates his concern. He’s also very emotionally invested in what happens toEliwood’s family, as shown in the infamous “WOOOELIWOOD!!!” scene, where Hector almost seems more excited than Eliwoodhimself when finding out that Elbert is still alive. And then when lord Elbertultimately meets his fate when they were soclose, Hector’s feelings about this unfortunately never really get explored anyfurther as far as I can recall, which is a shame, because I’m willing to betHector is blaming himself at that moment for his own inability to save hisfriend from having to go through what he went through himself after being sodamn close to pulling it off. Most likely Hector does not want to show anyemotional weakness in fear of seeming vulnerable, as is very common in thistype of character. When finding out about his own brother’s death, Hector seemsto be more upset with Oswin—and to an extent Uther himself—for hiding Uther’sillness from him, rather than about the actual death itself, which perhaps hehad seen coming already. What’s more is that he has this scene afterwards withLyn where, if I recall correctly, he still acts very standoff-ish about the entiresituation and it is Lyn who is on to hisact, and cries in his stead, depending on where they are in their supportrelationship. Beside all of this, I also think Hector acknowledges his role asthe “pacemaker” of the bunch. He knows that even in times of despair, he haspeople relying on him, and he is always the one shown trying to keep the moraleup, though through actions rather than words, because as we all know, wordshave never been his… strongest asset. An excellent example of this is of coursethe scene with Nils in the desert, where their current situation is at anabsolute low, but Hector manages to cheer Nils, Ninian and Lyn up regardless. As well as in his supports with Lyn, something similar happens when he cheersher up after she lost to him, and againLyn takes notice of Hector’s genuine concern for his allies, but of courseHector, being Hector, plays it off.
I like to think Hector’s also got somekind of intelligence hidden underneath all that muscle. Note how he’s nevercompletely oblivious to the politicalsituation, but rather he emphasises that diplomacy simply isn’t his way of settlingthings, and he would rather let either Eliwood or his axe do the talking. Thisis probably because he’s still young and doesn’t quite have a grip on his own temperamentyet, but this is also something he has tolearn along his journey if he ever wants to grow into the role of marquess. In fact, he acknowledges this himself in his story mode’s epilogue, where headmits that, indeed, he may be ill suited for this position as he is right now,and even shows little interest in it. Funny is that although Hector himselfsays this, others do seem torecognise qualities of a ruler in Hector, as in his supports with Oswin of allpeople, he compliments Hector’s true and honest character. Even so, Hector doesacknowledge that it’s something he’s just going to have to grow into, because the throne represents everythingthat was ever important to Uther, and it was entrusted to him and him only. The only thing you could conclude from the little screen time Hector gets inFE6, is that he eventually did mature into the role and accepted the responsibilitiesthat come with it; yet at the same time, he also hasn’t changed a bit when youconsider he is directly partaking in battle regardless of his social or politicalstatus. After all, Hector’s still a warrior at heart.
Life and death is a common theme with Hector’s character. Honestly, longbefore picking up the Armads Hector probably already knew he would meet his endat the battlefield, as his death quote—regardless of what point he dies atmight I add—is always something along the lines of: “not here”, implying that he knows it was something inevitable andwas likely going to happen sooner or later anyway—Armads or no Armads. Buthonestly, did Hector ever give a damn, knowing that the price he pays for it isworth it? All of this he did for his friends and family, which at this pointhave probably become one and the same. And so, in his dying words, he asks Royto take care of his daughter Lilina, because “despite her strong exterior, shedoes need a friend to support her.” Huh… Sound familiar?
Even though I’m aware the whole “dying in order to protect your lovedones” shtick is a very common shounen trait that’s been beaten to death, and that the writers had plenty of room to play with this trait given his fatein FE6, the sheer nonchalance with which Hector treats his own sacrifice, as ifit was nothing, breaks my heart every damn time. In that regard I think it isbrilliant—if not completely sadistic—to make the player emotionally invested ina character that was doomed from the start.
TL;DR: Hector makes for such a legendary character because of hisundying loyalty for his loved ones, and how determined and stubborn he is inensuring their safety. His genuine concern for his allies and the charismaticrole he takes upon himself in the army are appreciated more than he would ever takecredit for, and his underlying selflessness does not go unnoticed to thoseclosest to him. And although he may dislike his role as marquess, his brutalhonesty and recklessness might prove surprisingly useful in this position, and areboth to be admired and feared. He probably always knew he was going to meet his end on the battlefield, but frankly never gave a damn because the sacrifice was alwaysworth it to him: his loved ones would get to live. To put it quite promptly:Hector is all you could every wish for in a best friend, and that’s exactly howhe was written.
That is how I interpret him and why I like him at least… I honestlydon’t think I’ve said anything new about his character that hasn’t been saidbefore, but I hope I did him justice regardless.
Anyway, thanks for putting up with the long read. This was like. 2+ pages lmao

Donovan Woods goes Way Way Back - Interview
On his newest single 'Way Way Back' Donovan Woods is exploring relationships and the odd familiar comfort of getting back with an ex. Of the topic Woods says "The whole song — production and arrangement — is indicative of this push and pull between the risky excitement of something new and the ease of something familiar.” That tug of war between the risky excitement and ease and comfort doesn't seem evident on this track. Teaming up with producer Todd Clark on the single the two aimed to push the boundaries of folk music. Coupling nicely together as always are the storytelling lyrics and sweet vocals of Donovan Woods blend with this fresh production. Having the opportunity to sit down with Donovan Woods we talked about his road trip playlist, the new single Way Way Back, his complicated relationship with John Mayer, the inspiration of Portland, Maine, his multi location shoe collection, and more. Check it out below. https://youtu.be/3lwbg5P6Umk Hi Donovan, It is really cool to be talking to you. I went to your show last night in Salt Lake and it was great. I had a friend message me today how much she likes your music and so this is really exciting to be with you. Thank you! Donovan Woods: Oh awesome. Well thank you! I usually like to people I interview like how I know them and why I made the request. So a few years ago me and my friend that you met last night went on this big road trip from Utah to Banff National Park in Alberta and we made this rule that as soon as we cross over the border we are only listening to Canadian musicians... DW: (Laughs) That's a funny idea! That is a very Canadian idea. That sounds like something we would do. It made it so fun (laughs) we had this really great playlist prepared for the Canadian side we had like Justin Bieber who you went to summer camp with his mom I read, we had Wild Rivers, Jon and Roy, all sorts of people. DW: (Laughs) That's right. I did go to summer camp with her. So yeah your music was on that list and a huge help on that road trip and has been on many playlists after, so I wanted to ask who would be on your road trip playlist? DW: Um, I'm going into the Bon Iver record right now and I'm super into this YBN Cordae guy for hip hop. I really am it is exciting for me to hear what is coming out, now that I'm a Spotify dude I've been going to listen to the New Music Friday list and listening to the whole thing and try to find stuff I've never heard of. But like anybody I was super into Maren Morris' new record and they did this high women record. I try to stay very very contemporary if I can. https://youtu.be/3nZYOK_9rZU So speaking of new music Friday, lets talk about your new single that came out last month 'Way Way Back' and kind of the intentions to push the boundaries of folk music and relationships and how that has changed. What can you say about the new single? DW: Um yeah, that is sort of the notion of it. I think that so much of singer songwriter stuff and especially country music for sure is about that kind of weird way that we are always in touch now and like what that does to our relationships. You never really cut ties with people and that makes a lot of things difficult. Yeah I think the recording of it, I always try to use those singles in between album to sort of create space for myself so that I can do more as a singer songwriter than just put out folk music and we are trying to push the boundaries as much as we can. I think it is interesting that like not very many people have mentioned the sort of more broad production on that song other than people like yourself or when I talk specifically on the song. I don't know people hear your voice and they go "Yeah that's him" and that's it you know (laughs). I wonder how much it matters to people. So you are a fun twitter follow, I think I have already referenced like two funny tweets in 4 minutes with you. I think you're one of the funniest follows. DW: (Laughs) Oh thanks. That always stresses me out (laughs) because then I start going "Oh gosh, what am I saying on this fucking thing." But I appreciate that. Based on your tweets I wanted to ask you about your relationship with John Mayer, especially on Twitter. DW: (Laughs) Oh geez, this is um this is a heavy subject for me. Geez. Um it goes back (laughs) there are a lot of tweets there. And so I love John Mayer, he once put a picture of shoes and the "recipe" to create it on NikeId and I did it. So there isn't usually a John Mayer thing that I don't like, but I didn't like his newest song and I was searching for why I didn't and I hop on Twitter and you had a tweet about it saying "You’re damn right my therapist is gonna be hearing about how John Mayer is out here rhyming ‘summer’ with ‘bummer’. I was already having a not great week." and I immediately started laughing out loud. So what are the feelings there? (laughs) DW: Well I'll tell you... I have grown to like that song. Um but this summer and bummer line notwithstanding, I can't as a songwriter I can't support that. But I think what he is doing, he is moving into a later period and I think he is trying to write things or songs that stay in the Cannon you know like become broad things. I think like 'Love on the Weekend' I feel like he did that like a song that is useful and I don't know... then also he might just be getting worse? I think maybe (laughs) and I'm just rationalizing it? I don't know. I have no idea. That's the thing, I don't know if I like him, if I love him, or if I hate him. I don't know. I'm so, I have nothing but conflicted-ness about that guy. The other thing is that we have the exact same birthday he and I. So every time it's my birthday I have a thousand people saying "Did you know it's John Mayer's birthday too?" As if I would not know that already so there's like some... I don't know. I can't... I don't know how I feel about him. It just goes on and on you know? I think he is just so good looking. I see pictures of him... sometimes I'll just look at pictures of him. You know what I mean? Like just like look through, see what he's wearing, look at his hair and I'll think "Wow if I looked like that I'd be so fucking famous." I don't know how I... I don't know I don't know how to explain what I feel about him. But it's tumultuous that's for sure. It's not healthy. (Laughs) That is so funny. That was what I was laughing at in your tweets some were that you are reading everything that he does, and one of the things about him is you mentioned and it makes me mad I'm losing my hair and every single thing he does with it works. Everything. DW: I know yeah I'm losing mine too. It's fucking annoying it's the sickest hair I've seen in my life. Like his hair line is like he got a hair transplant in each follicle or something and it makes me sick. https://youtu.be/ekX7jZwLS8g So I guess by law I should notify you that I am calling on a recorded line... but I only bring that up because I read about some of the inspiration writing 'Portland, Maine' and that it started from frequent collection calls you were getting which I'm sure started with letting you know you were on a recorded line... so they were calling for a girl named Janessa? and that helped inspire your song 'Portland, Maine'? That might be the best outcome of a collection call ever. DW: Oh yeah. I had this cell phone I used in America for a time and yeah I kept getting phone calls from Portland, Maine. Which is why I wrote that hook for the first time. I thought of that idea because I couldn't remember, having not toured extensively at that time I couldn't remember if Portland, Maine was the east coast one or the west coast one. So I thought of that line just based off of those missed calls that I got. I worked on it from there and tried to figure out what that line would mean in a story and why somebody would say something like that. It's a strange line, a very strange line and so when you have a strange line like that that somehow feels important usually when you dig around and try to find the idea of the song if you can find something that leads you to that line than you've got a good idea. And I'm glad you talked about that process where you found a line and were able to create a song and story out of it. You're an incredible songwriter, last night you told the story of writing 'Another Way' seeing a wedding being set up at a hotel and you not being a wedding guy and the possibility of some time looking at weddings another way. I was wondering if you have any random moments that turned into one of your songs? DW: I mean, I think 'Leaving Nashville' which I wrote with Charles Kelly from Lady Antebellum for his solo record I think was a real reach. It was like writing a song about what it was like to be a Nashville songwriter and I had only been one for about a month and a half at the time. So it was just sort of guessing and projecting and you know its funny when somebody that's not mired in it looks at it from a distance they're able to see it more clearly than maybe someone who is down in the muck of it. Everybody says that they can't believe how much we nailed it on that song and we just thought "wow we were really just guessing" (laughs) You mentioned writing 'Leaving Nashville' with Charles Kelly and I wanted to ask what the differences were for you in writing with somebody as opposed to on your own? DW: Um I think it is hard work no matter what. Either way its hard. But when it is with somebody else at least there is someone there to keep you accountable and to keep you on task. The thing about writing alone is I'll take months and months to put something together because as soon as it gets difficult I just go and do something more fun because why would I torture myself? So when you are sitting there with somebody else and you are both time allotted and you are trying to figure it out it can be really uncomfortable, it can be awesome, and it could be really wonderful too. So it is like sort of just riding that. It can certainly be uncomfortable. But you also get instant feedback which can help you feel that you're really good at it. https://youtu.be/danq5BE64Pk When was the first time you really knew that you were good at this songwriting thing? And how has your songwriting evolved over time? DW: Um I don't know, I still don't feel like I'm good at it. I think everybody is a little embarrassed by their old work and feels a little uptight about their stuff they wrote when they were... I think for me it is like a lot of really naive ideas about love and um sometimes I'd just go on like an A-rhyme run and I'd go like 'stable' and 'cable, able' and I'm just like "Gosh what am I doing." But I think like the arrogance of youth is part of it and I think that everybody just looking back on their own... like I think everybody even looking back at their old text messages would feel self conscious about themselves. But I think when people who are you know when someone like Tim McGraw expresses interest in your song, it is a guy that hears a lot of songs because he cuts a lot of outside songs by other writers and so he hears the best of the best and he likes the thing it makes even a self conscious guy like me say "you know... maybe I'm okay at this." It was a real lot of confidence that's for sure. So like you just said your song 'Portland, Maine' is heard by Tim McGraw and he uses it on his album, how does that song get in front of him? And what does that feel like when he approaches you? DW: Um well the guy I wrote it with his name is Abe Stoklasa and it came through his publisher and we had sent it to them and I guess somebody listened to it for him and said no it was too sad or something. Then somebody who worked for his publisher knew Tim, he used to babysit his kids I think. He just like burnt the CD and took it to him and he heard it personally and called and said he wanted to do it. I never got to... I only met him after the record came out. I never got to talk to him beforehand. I remember the moment of it was like months and months and months of process before he actually cut it and we sort of felt like oh maybe he'll get over it and won't want to do it. Then I remember finally when they sent me his recording of it, I remember listening to it in the middle of the night and being so tripped out hearing his voice on it. It was such a weird weird feeling. That is so so cool. I can't imagine. So I really want to be friends with Wild Rivers and I know they toured with you so I reached out to them for a question I should ask you. They told me to ask about your shoe collection, and that on tour you wore a new pair of shoes at every show... DW: Yeah... that's sad but true (laughs). And so what's the size of this collection like? DW: Ehhh um I don't know. Don't make me put a number on it (laughs). I don't want to (laughs). It's a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot of shoes. I don't want to count them up. Nobody wants to count them up. It's depressing, there is no reason to do it. There was a time in my life where I was going through a lot of stuff and the only thing that made me feel good was buying a pair of shoes. So I did that... about every fifteen minutes for a good stretch of two or three years there. So now I have all of these shoes and honestly I look at the shoes and go "what am I doing? What am I doing?" But I do like them very much. I was a kid that you know I loved basketball shoes and you know I still like them now unfortunately. But I am buying all my dream shoes that I wanted when I was a kid. So I won't ask for a number, but I will ask how you store them. I am always curious how shoe collectors store them. Where are they in your house? Is it to the point that you have separate rooms for them? DW: I don't store them in any way to organize or make any sense whatsoever. There's like I have a whole closet in the upstairs area of my house that is filled with them and it is full. Then I have a whole bunch of Tupperware bins in the basement that are filled with shoes. Then I also have some Tupperware bins in an undisclosed storage locker. In my defense, I do give the shoes away. If people express interest in the shoes I will give the shoes away. I know that I don't need this many shoes, I admit that I have a problem and am working towards bettering myself. I was waiting to see. I knew if there was a storage locker it was at the level I was expecting. DW: Yes it's a real problem if there is a second location, that's for sure. You talked about giving some away, is there a favorite pair that you absolutely could not giveaway? DW: Well I love Jordan 5's a lot. Those are the shoes I wanted so bad when I was a kid and now I have many (laughs) many. But I do really like that kind. https://youtu.be/TensThO5580 I have a question I ask every interview. The answers I get are always surprising. I am always curious with musicians that perform on all sorts of stages if they first like karaoke? and if so, what their go-to song be? DW: I do not like karaoke. Except in Toronto in Koreatown you can rent a room where you do karaoke alone privately with your friends and I will do karaoke within that environment and if I do, I like to do rap songs. Is there a favorite rapper? DW: Notorious B.I.G And last, what's next for Donovan Woods? DW: Yeah we are just wrapping up the end of this tour, we're at about halfway which it's very long. It's very long. But it's going really well and it's fun. I have this until November and then I have a few shows in Canada at the end of the year. I have a big show in Toronto in December. Then I am back into making songs. We have like four songs in the can now and those are kind of slowly coming out and then we just need to see what's next. I think probably an EP next year too. Well Donovan thank you for your time. I appreciate you and your lyrics and all that you put into your music. It is really great to listen to. Thank you again and great show last night. DW: Well thank you. I really appreciate you and the time. Thanks for having me. Check out more from Donovan Woods on his Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. All Anon Asks as of 10/29/2018 in my in box.
1.       One thing to point out about these “leaks” as opposed to the two real leaks in the past, the new leaks are on purpose and posted with the intent to cause drama and hype. And as for DW not making a statement, why would they? They are getting free marketing and with such a huge gap between the last press event and the last season why not let it fester and create that hype, they know people will still watch. People are gonna want to tune in to find out the truth, DW knows that.
You know the saying about “No news is good news” well in regard to management in a lot of cases to draw in hype, and also to pretty much not have to deal with the legal nightmare of finding all the images and getting the fakes taken down they go with the idea of “Any publicity is good” because that means that they’re getting hype as you pointed out. As you said Anon, the point of these leaks is to cause drama and create issues between fans and then sit back and laugh at all the shocked kids that are freaking out. They probably are already planning round two or three of this.
2.       Voltron is set in the super fancy future why would anything ever be sepia tone? Especially something that’s happening in a flash forward.
So the basics here is that it’s supposed to feel “Nostalgic”. Like “Oh look at that memory we shared together of a wonderful time.”
Again typically sepia is used to make things look or feel aged. Old photos, memories, etc. Sepia is not a color you use willy nilly because it doesn’t always look good on screen in large dosages in filter. The color brown in general is typically used, or at least that color, for sunset like moments to make the viewer feel melancholy that time is ending. You never use that color when you’re showing something triumphant. Also if you do use it for a happy occasion you tend to use it for a photo in a memory book.
Look at Coco, and the photos on the alter, you have several that are black and white and a few that are a brown color because they’re supposed to invoke a certain feeling in you. You want to feel warm and welcome and like everything is in the past and nostalgic. And the leakers got people to feel that way with the colors. And Flash forwards tend to be brighter and blurred in some cases with frosted edges. Or something to depict that it’s not in the present. And if it is just a time skip, there would be no need for the color change.
3.       I think it’s weird that in the second wedding photo Shiro is leaning away from Roy as he leans in. Odd???
It’s something that normally happens in some anime. The less, shall we say dominating person leans back embarrassed by the attention and more aggressive actions by the more dominate person who is initiating the kiss. By the body language this means that Roy here is the more aggressive figure in their relationship going in for a kiss though still acting a bit shy about it, while Shiro is less aggressive and is being more shy and then decides to go with it. This sort of action usually happens with a girl in Shiro’s place, as in Japan the girl is seen as less aggressive a figure and why certain female characters over the years have been seen as very different than most of their counter parts.
4.       Don’t know if it’s been pointed out yet but in the kiss pic Roy’s arm just randomly disappears through Shiros chest. That’s not how it works.
Correct Anon. The arm should be either around his waist or on his shoulder or chest. As per the kiss with Hikaru (Rick Hunter) and Misa (Lisa) from Macross. Roy’s arm is blending into Shiro’s side and that’s not a good thing. I know Mir makes some small mistakes here and there, but man this would have the art being sent right back to the studio if it was blurring that badly. Unlike Hasbro in the 1980s this sort of thing isn’t tolerated as much anymore because digital means it’s a quick fix rather than hours of reanimating the scene.
5.       so, since you're the go to person regarding the legitimacy of the Voltron leaks, I just saw the
photo of the paladins grown up projected on a screen with people in front smiling
the person that shared this with me said this is a photo of the french VA team finishing dubbing. Thoughts? Comments? Tumblr doesn't let me link the image, but if you're interested I can share it with you some other way.
Holy hell, um. Not sure what to think of that. But okay. XD Yeah I discuss that in the main blog post about it.
http://darkspellmaster.tumblr.com/post/179532344635/update-and-edit-and-master-post-to-the-fokker
So as I said before I think the photo of the cast is real, and more than likely taken on another date. The thing that jumps out to me about the photo after examining it more is where they are looking. Everyone is staring off to the center of the screen, but the camera that took the photo is off to the right. This means that this was probably a photo being taken because of the man in the center, who I’m betting is a famous and well known voice actor.
These sorts of pictures happen from time to time, even here in the states, when a cast gets someone that is famous and they want to take a photo with them. Remember actors are fan boys and girl’s too.
When I went to Anime Midwest a few years ago Sonny Straight (Lupin the 3rd, Krillen, a number of characters in anime) mentioned how he was sitting next to the late VA of Speed Racer, Peter Fernandez, who was signing small cars of the Mach 5. He was talking to him, while geeking out in his mind, and Mr. Fernandez gave him a car with his autograph on it. Sonny basically was playing with the car when Mr. Fernandez wasn’t looking making the noise of the Mach 5.
Nolan North just recently confessed to chasing down Sir. Anthony Hopkins on to an elevator and talking to him for a while, because he didn’t want to miss a shot to meet the famous actor who was recording lines on Retro Replay. (Also watch the show it’s funny.)
So more than likely the picture was being taken with a well-known French VA and that it was for posterity sake for the studio and the actors. Studios will sometimes do this if they have a named actor in the cast doing a voice.
6.       I've gone back through Bexs likes and I don't see any of the leaks. What's the source on that claim?
I’ve only been told about this, I haven’t seen anything of it either. I do not have an Instagram so I can’t tell you about that stuff.
Either Bex liked something that was similar, or someone thought that they liked it, or something. I really can’t say for sure. But regardless, unless it’s in their contracts and the NDA states they can’t like fan art, actors typically do like art.
7.       Watching your post about the whole studio thing I thought about something, I didn’t know about Ezor’s va leak but maybe when she did it she simply didn’t think the fandom would immediately jump on it and spread it, then is it possible that the french studio ‘leak’ is real too and that the same thing happened?
Most actor’s don’t think that what they say is important. I think in Kimiko’s case she really wanted to just give the fans the okay that Shiro was going to show up again because of all the freaking out on Social Media about it and trying to be a good person. Lionel (I think that’s how you spell his name) the French VA seems like he was thinking of just showing that they were recording the show again. Maybe getting people excited, since, most people that follow Voltron aren’t following the dub actors save for those that are following in France right now. And I don’t know how many know of the actor due to the fact that he’s more a live action actor like Steve is so this is his first dubbing job for a cartoon.
The thing is that the second picture was a personal one that was taken at some other point in time, because of the change that Lionel’s hair has gone through it seems. Also, as I said before this was taken from the side meaning that they’re looking at another camera, so it’s not a case of them taking a “Last hurray” photo, and more likely that they were taking a picture with a well-known actor that had visited the studio to do a voice.
The “leak” is real in that it is a legit photo of the cast, what’s fake is the stuff behind them.
8.       I reported the violations to the French company but they haven’t got back to me :/ surely over something this serious they would?
I wouldn’t expect them to be getting back to you regarding this. The photo that was taken wasn’t their property in this case, it’s owned by whoever took it from the side of the editing booth. If it was a professional photo, then yeah they would want to know info.  It could be that too, much like DW here in the state’s the legal department isn’t seeing anything huge to go after and would rather people just ignore it.
After all they have only a month and a few days here states side for it to come out, also in France too, so more than likely they are more worried about the promotional stuff they need to do after She-ra comes out.
You’re right, if it was serious we would see things about it all over the place, not just on Tumblr but on other sites that cover this sort of news. Like with the Mir incident. This is not serious to them and probably isn’t even registering yet for them.
9.       One of the most glaring things for me is that Roy isn't even on the poster. Even the most minor characters are in it and yet you're going to tell me Shiro's future husband isn't? Yeah, no way. Also in your post debunking the leaks you forgot to mention how the background characters are weirdly static (especially Pidge) in the wedding edits, but Shiro and Roy are moving.
Yeah having Roy on the poster would be a legal nightmare waiting to happen, as rsasai said in one of their other posts, since the show is airing in Japan and Japan worships Roy and Macross, you would have to deal with Studio Nue, Tatsunoko and Big West for any rights to be used. Not to mention that fans of Macross would want to know what the hell was going on since Roy is a big deal. As I said above reminds me way to much of a Newtype magazine static illustration that was traced over.
10.   I commend you on your impeccable taste in TV shows, my good comrade. Also, whomst else misses the 80s & 90s where people would just watch and enjoy the shows they watched, and didn’t ruin them or the experience for other fans? Ahhh the good old days!
Maybe I’ll list all my favorite shows. XD And thank you, I like to think I have good taste in shows. At least I hope I do.
Well it depened on who you watched the show with, but over all, for the most part, people genuinely weren’t as worked up over shows. Or at least I never noticed save for a Lisa is better, Lynn is better fight I once saw between two girls on the playground about Robotech, but other than that…it was mostly quiet. Not sure about at offices in the day though over shows like Dallas or Dynasty.
11.   To the people who say “The staff having not said anything about the leaks yet means they are true!”. I am almost sure they didn’t say anything about the “Klance voiceline leaks” either, and it was fake.
O.O What? Wait…is that like a dialogue line that was said? OR are we talking about those old telephone call lines where you paid like 9.95 and a dollar or something every minute after a few minutes to talk to your favorite character? Because if it’s the latter, hell yes it would be fake since no one does that anymore. Well save Cdawg who does it for Black butler calls but those are free.
12.   An anon sent to you said "maybe DW just doesn't care anymore since the show is almost over" but it's really not about VLD anymore. Like I said before in a previous ask, this sets a very bad precedent. DW is a business, which means they have to look to the future. By not taking this seriously, they're implying they won't take any of their other licensed shows/IPs seriously either. No company would want to damage their reputation so badly just because a contract is almost over.
But see, the thing is, it’s not that they don’t care it’s a question of how the legal wants them to handle it. If you kick up too much of a fuss, then it’s “Well they are real” if you  don’t then you have people saying you’re not doing enough. Ultimately it’s not up to DW to chase things down since they are not the main license holder, that is WEP, and the other studios are not owned by DW or WEP they are only licensing the series to dub via Netflix. Then throw NBC Universal on this, and you have that factor in play here…you’d have a lot of people involved. Does it look bad, kinda. But most studios have the same response. It’s easier to let things die on their own than interviene as it becomes making a mountain out of a mole hill. Or to put it in a better way. Let’s take a real case that recently happened. There’s a famous artist that likes to take images and do a little change then say they are his own works of art. He’s been doing this for years and artists hate him because he’s taking their copyrighted works and screwing with them only a little and calling them his own. Recently, like a year or so ago, he went on Instagram, found cosplay and other pictures of female celebs and non celebs, commented on it. Took the photo and the comment, put it together as a larger picture and called it his own. This is considered art appropriation and can be seen as a legal way of doing art. Richard Prince, the artist in question, has been getting away with it for years. And someone who’s cagey enough probably could use that as a defense in a lawsuit. https://www.theverge.com/2015/5/30/8691257/richard-prince-instagram-photos-copyright-law-fair-use
13.   in the french va video, who is the guy in the middle? the director?
That guy in the middle may be Patrick Borg. Reason the cast may be taking the picture with him is he’s the voice of Son Goku in Dragon Ball and has been since the start of Dragon ball Z, and is a well-known in VA in France. Or It’s Jerome Wiggins who does a main character on Zagtoonz Zak Storm. My guess though, it’s probably Patrick, and since the crew is pretty much younger actors who grew up around the hype of Dragon ball Z, wouldn’t surprise me if  they were taking a picture with him because he was doing a voice for them.
14.   No, it's the opposite now. All the evidence in the Universe prooves that the leaks are real but you all choose not to believe in it. And I'm okay with it and I'm more than okay If I'm wrong but if the leaks are real almost everyone who believes that the are fake would be greatly dissapointed and will feel betrayed
As I said before Anon, if you want to believe it, fine. That’s up to you. I have no horse in this race, I’m only presenting facts as I find them and having two graphic designers and other people look over the images and such, to them they seem doctored or created. I’d rather people make the call themselves, but as other’s have said well before me, it seems insane that two studios decided to risk their careers to leak this stuff. You do realize that in doing so they will have cost the trust of several other clients they have and it would probably put them out of business with Netflix, and cause BTI Studios to lose the deal with Altor and Shamrock that they recently made this past year, and for Netflix to pull out of it’s vendorship with VSI and probably make other networks, like CN, and Nick, pull out of the deal. No one, in their right mind, would put themselves or their careers in danger over a cartoon show. No one. It would cause them to be blacklisted and not have work in the VA community ever again. The sheer level of WTF that would have to run through someone’s minds to do this if they were a professional in this field would be astonishing. Honestly, no I wouldn’t feel betrayed or disappointed. I would be more worried for the studios and wonder if they would be able to continue to run as they are, or have to close due to the fact that most of their clients would bolt knowing their intellectual property wasn’t safe. Then there would be the lawsuits from WEP, NBC Universal and probably Mir for putting out copyrighted material that they don’t own. Would I be upset about the show, no, honestly I wouldn’t. Allura dying would be a mirror and parallel to Ryou dying and taking Lotor with him from Go lion, something Voltron the original didn’t do. Shiro being married, awesome. Roy Fokker getting his name out there and getting people to watch Macross to know who the hell this hottie is, okay in my book. The crew taking a picture together, nothing wrong there.
The only thing that could disappoint me is no ending or a cliff hanger, since, well I got that with Force from DiC and this would be the first show to have a real ending outside of the original.
I don’t get why people are worried about me or others feeling disappointed when there are four other variants of the show that exist that we can watch. That’s just silly. I’m more surprised that people don’t care about the well-being and lively hood and careers of the VAs internationally being wrecked by all of this. That’s where my concern lies. Shipping and all the other things, I don’t care about. My care was that the characters were happy and got along, and that the robot fights were cool.
15.  You list Roy's arm/hand as vanishing on 13 but they're both still visible, I've redlined it for you: i(.)imgur(.)com/2UHctWY(.)png
Side note. you can’t send pictures that way.  And if you mean where the arm seems to blend down around the waist area. I can’t tell for sure if that’s his right arm or his left. Also that would be a weird way to hold someone if you’re going to kiss them like that in genera.
