If you all are gonna write posts where you condescendingly use other Bats as mouthpieces to own Jason about his beliefs, the least you can do is actually get his motivations correct.

The Joker being alive isn't the only reason why Jason feels unloved post resurrection. If you took a cursory look at the comics instead of being a self righteous loser, you'd know that

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but I absolutely love the recs you've given (you've introduced me to tomione, and I love it!) and I was wondering if it's possible to give you some recs in return? There are some books and fics that definitely have dramione / got vibes, and I was wondering if I could share them with you!

So glad you've enjoyed them! Feel free to rec me anything you want. I've read most of the classic recs in terms of fic and adjacent content (Cruel Prince et al), but I'll try anything that's well-written. My tastes run towards weird and/or audaciously creative stuff, and I can forgive a lot of weaknesses in plot on the grounds of (1) ambition or (2) character work. My turnoffs are instalove, protagonists who can't fail, and most Y/A (I'm not a hater, I swear, I just need characters who can say "fuck" when their leg gets chopped off.)

I'm also a fan of weird and fucked-up dynamics.(Wuthering Heights was my favorite book for a while, and as a teenager I wrote an AU in which the book ends on a long sex scene where Heathcliff fucks Cathy's ghost and then immediately gets murdered by Catherine 2.) Obviously, I am very normal.

I think one of my favorite things about Across the Spiderverse is that, if you pay enough attention, you realize that Miguel's logic makes zero sense.

Earth-42 Miles never became Spider-Man like Miguel says he was supposed to, Gwen's dad quits the force (thus preventing his supposedly inevitable death as a cop), and Peter B only decided to have a kid because he met Miles, which, according to Miguel, was never supposed to happen.

All three universes are very obviously not destroyed, nor do they seem likely to be destroyed any time in the near future. So either:

A. Earth-1610 Miles was always supposed to become Spider-Man (thus allowing Peter B to meet him) and Gwen's cop who dies is just someone else, with her father being a red herring.

OR

B. The other option, which I think is both much more likely and much more interesting: Miguel is inherently wrong.

Can someone please either validate me or send me to the Corner of Shame? This is very silly but I'm wondering.

So. I was talking to my sister the other day about movies and such, and she told me of one she recently watched with this one actor. And I casually mentioned how much I hated him. Not in a "he's a bad actor" or "he's a bad person" way. Nothing to do with whether I find him attractive or not. Just in a "he looks the most punchable guy on earth and I have this irrational rage against him" way, to the point that I just can't watch movies with him without being annoyed.

My sister looked at me like I was crazy because, "what do you mean you hate the guy". And I told her yeah? That's normal? Don't you have at least one person you can't stand for no reason?

Sister was like 😬😬😬 No??? Which is wild to me, because I could easily name 50 (which I did - not 50 but we were getting close to 20 before i got too annoyed lmao).

Now she thinks I'm slightly insane (/j) (I made myself angry and may have referred to a few individuals as "stupid" and "obnoxious"), and I kinda don't believe I am the only person alive who feels this way. But also she's an incredibly empathetic extrovert, while I'm a very low empath socially anxious creechur so. There's that?? I guess ?? Idk.

Can anyone relate to this? Or am I the weird one?

Also wait. Little disclaimer: I am not generally a violent person AT ALL. Do i get annoyed and angry easily? Yeah. Do I feel like bitch slapping someone right across their stupid face? Yeah, sometimes, sure. Do I do something about it? Not really.

I can be real bitchy and extra sarcastic and petty SURE, but that's the most I'll do if I am legitimately angry. Mostly I just go to my room and cry 🥺 (crying when angry yes it me). So yeah. Before yall think I have unsolved anger issues.

Just saw a TikTok complaining about fanfics that didn't have "enough dialogue" because "reading more than three sentences" was hard.

I'm not against heavy dialogue-oriented fics; they are fun, but... that's a script. You want to read a fucking script, hope you know that. A writer isn't "bad" because they are... you know, writing. Just say it isn't your thing and move on, but categorize something as "bad" because you lack the ability to fucking read... ain't the author's problem; it seems like a "you" one.

#im training myself into a descriptive writing style and reading that was a slap in the face... it's not that i dont like dialogue but #i need to convey feelings showing them as I want to I can't have that just with dialogue I WISH I was good enough to do that tho #because there's people who can but im not so-#the other day i saw a girl complaining about a book having WORDS what the fuck is WRONG WITH YOU #SHOW ME FEELINGS SHOW ME METAPHORS SHOW ME YOUR SOUL IN WRITTEN WORDS #I JUST THINK people aren't reading as much as they used to... just a thought after seeing people on booktok #like... you have books.... for what exactly? pretty colors? covers? just to say you have them for the aesthetics and go home #???? god ... the art of the written word is beautiful and unique to humans it lets out your soul and your spirit in paper bringing your min #into the physical word and you are just gonna call it BORING what the HELL IS WRONG WITH THAT AAAAAAAAAAAAAA #KAFKA WE REALLY ARE IT NOW #in a world where everything has to be fast and immediate we should look into art as something worth waiting for... idk man my thoughts #maybe im just too dense with my feelings with creation and ain't that deep but to me it is actually...#ive wanted to be a writer since I learned how to read not because I liked to write but because my soul gets a little lighter when I do it

#and it's the real thing not even a knockoff #kinda surprised they still exist #but also not surprised bc Blanket. blanket is universal #i just remember a lot of those As Seen On Tv ads like. imploding within 5 years #they still do As Seen On Tv products like there are still boxes marked with that logo it almost feels wrong like an ancient relic #bc most like. ubiquitous 2000s brands from my childhood are just Gone or at least so fundamentally changed it's not the same thing #heard about like 50 more companies going bankrupt probably in the last year alone #anyway ive always wanted a snuggie it's one of those Always Wanted things that never go away #others include: staples easy button (obtained!); mini fridge (not); pillow pet (i had a knockoff once); power drill (not)#i spent a surprising amount of my childhood actually going out of my way to buy stuff i could use in my own apartment in the future #i grew up lower middle class and then just lower class #so like. i always Knew i couldn't just furnish the whole apartment at once i Knew I'd have to build stuff up over time #also bc when my sister got kicked out she had like. nothing. in her trailer. and i did not want to have nothing #i knew if dad was willing to just toss out my sister like that i would absolutely follow suit #and i did! two years younger than my sister when she was!#it just happened that my mom didn't want me homeless at FOURTEEN when i legally could not work for two more years #so she went with me and we lived with my grandma #so take that dad. turns out throwing family members out willy nilly makes the rest of your family not trust you or like you!#and now i get to rub it in his face that HE can't function in a house by himself and still needs to beg my mom to clean up after him #bc i spent so much of my childhood getting berated and called lazy for not doing chores #getting told stuff like 'you have to function by yourself your parents can't always pick up after you'#and then he's literally useless without his wife #he's not disabled and he's not neurodivergent he's never even had a serious health scare he just doesn't bother to learn how to clean #his excuse is that he doesn't know how to use the washer and dryer (it has been almost ten years fucker. learn)#or he doesn't know which cleaning products to use (you have google and a library card. I watched captain laserhawk with my roommate and he said that the show can essentially be summed up with a studio going Hey. What if we gave donkey kong a blunt and a gun. And they were right for it

#I found it interesting however from the looks of it people seem to be glossing over the strong and scary social political commentary #in favor of just going OMG rayman snorts crack and eats sushi off a cowgirls ass and says fuck #which don’t get me wrong. that is awesome. however I barely see anyone talking about the other #characters. like dolph. the main character #also this may just be me being a more psychological horror prone person but those vr prisons were genuinely fucking scary to me #also rayman being so disgusted at the reveal that his face was being used to spread propaganda that he just vomits. god #I think I saw a post with someone going yea this show had some sort of political commentary and it’s like. some sort? it’s… the whole show.#that’s one of the main points of the show. it’s not some sort it’s very very prevalent actually #anyways I’m interested in seeing where it goes I will be honest I was expecting it to be kind of bad but it’s interesting to me #fun for the first two episodes then it just devastates you for the rest
