Danny hadn’t expected that defeating Pariah Dark would make him the ghost king, and give him a truckload of paperwork. If he had known, he would’ve let Vlad fight him. He despised paperwork with a passion. So, when the Justice League summoned him asking for help, he made it clear he would as long as three of their members would assist him with a task. Admittedly, he had been in his big scary king form so there may have been some slight confusion.

Batman surveyed the room full of paperwork, the teenager who looked like he was about to cry, and back to Martian Manhunter and Wonderwoman. Then, he sat down and started sorting through the paperwork.

Being someone who read Under The Red Hood and came out with the firm belief that, for Jason, it's not about killing Joker, it's about Jason wanting proof Batman would choose him over the Joker (bc shelia chose the joker). Makes seeing any other media where it's all about just wanting the Joker dead is a teeny bit frustrating. to be honest

Jason could've killed the Joker himself, really, really easily. Jason kidnaps the Joker before the confrontation. I can't open my comic for a reference right now, but it felt like he had the Joker for quite a bit before the confrontation. He had him. He beat him up with a crowbar. He had every single opportunity to kill the Joker himself, but he didn't because that wasn't his goal. Make no mistake, he did plan for the Joker to be dead by the end of it, but do you see what im trying to say here

It's not about making Batman kill either. When Batman says he won't kill, Jason adjusts and goes, 'Let ME kill the Joker or kill me to stop me' instead. The test is all about Batman choosing him. The whole final confrontation is Jason's first death again. The parent, The Joker, and the explosives. It even ends with Jason unable to move as a bomb goes off right next to him again because the parent didn't choose Jason. And instead tried finding an option that'd benefit them and (consequencely) letting the Joker walk, again, lol, lmao <-in agony

I’m currently thinking about an AU where the Justice League confuse Danny for Jason.

Like, they know Batman’s second Robin met an unfortunate end, & now his newest partner is the ghost of an upbeat, scrawny, teenage boy.

Excuse them, for thinking the ghost being Batman’s dead son was more believable then Batman somehow having picked up not just another stray, but a dead one. How did he even do that?

Bonus points if Jason is very much so resurrected already, but none of the bats told the justice league because apparently Gotham’s newest crime lord, who’s 6’ whatever & built like a brick shithouse, isn’t obviously the same malnourished little kid that used to say “Robin gives me magic!” & literally died. Who knew?

Now Jason would like it known that there was no mpreg situation going on. He isn’t even sure where people got that idea in the first place. Sure, he had taken a few Cores from the goons-in-white who had dared to set up in his turf. 

And sure maybe the excess energy from the pit (no wonder he’d been so irritable) was what said baby halfas (Okay, so they’re half human? Alright) had used to reform. And maybe the oldest is visibly less than a year old. 

But there Was No Mpreg Situation! He is this close to shooting someone! It was annoying (and slightly amusing) when it was just his goons, but now the Bats have seemingly got it in their heads! Dear Gotham it’s a good thing he’s not planning on like, ever revealing who he is because he would never be able to live this rumor down.

we only ever talked about HALF of why these scenes were a big deal, like I just realized this today and my heart is going insane.

It’s not just that Crowley’s pissed at Gabriel for treating who he thinks as Aziraphale this way, the last thing he says to the people about to kill him is a benign and peaceful wish to see them again.

And like- this is Crowley trying to replicate Aziraphale to a T. So he legitimately just sees him as this endless well of compassion, someone who is always warm and accepting. It’s not just their friendship throughout the years, he remembers Aziraphale’s kindness on the Eastern Gate. When the angel had absolutely no reason to trust this random demon who just slithered up next to him. Crowley knows that he’s loved. Maybe not like that quite yet (although he’d be very wrong), but he knows that around his friend he’s always welcome and safe.

And Aziraphale?

Well he just thinks Crowley’s the coolest fucker alive, like he is laying it in THICK and enjoying every second. Listen to that charisma, look at that smirk. These are traits that are typically only appreciated in the context of how good it makes Crowley at tempting, a job he hates. But Aziraphale doesn’t see someone manipulative or regard this persona as signs of his “demonic nature”, he just sees Crowley. Someone charming, fun loving, and cute.

This is when we get to know precisely why they love each other, what exactly they see in the other.

Danny didn’t mind being on Young Justice. He loved being around his new friends, and he truly felt accepted and cared for. However, since Vlad screwed up, he had to request to become last resort for the time being.

The rest of the team is confused, until Kon uses his x-ray vision and informs Tim through clenched teeth that there was a second core inside their teammate’s body, one with a baby slowly forming around it.

you’re stuffed to the railing, sweating on the itching oak as you swallow the anxiety of being alone. your friend lost to the swells of dance music that feels misplaced against the dark hues that plaster this hole in the wall.

maybe a drink will blanket the nerves. you turn to the bartender, but your mouth chokes. request dies before it reaches your tongue, his back to you and, just like the rest of the patrons who flag him down, you’re a blur.

you fizzle out against the table, and decide to just wallow in whatever awkwardness has offered itself to you.

“can i buy you a drink, darl’?”

his voice sounds like a liquor that is far outside your budget. doesn’t belong and a bleeding, dilapidated bar in the middle of nowhere cityscape. raw, mahogany. cools the back of your neck until you’re sweating somewhere else.

you turn, and the liquor intensifies. you feel drunk looking at him, blue eyes and a classic attractiveness that reels you in until the hook catches the top of your mouth and your drooling.

“what?”

he laughs. rum, “you need a drink,” he winks, and you drink it in, “let me help with that.”

you’re damseled. bambi at a bar with a mouth that hasn’t the slightest idea how to reply, or a mind to think of a way to escape.

you weren’t scared of this because you didn’t think it would happen. but now that it is, you’ve never been more terrified.

the stranger rendered you immovable and short circuiting, and you surprise yourself when you blurt,

“im gay.”

shock renders on his face before it melts. softens the harsh layers of facial hair until his gaze settles over your shoulder.

the hand on your waist beats your gaze. you swallow.

“my friend giving you trouble, sweet’eart?”

when you do look over your shoulder, you catch freckles, honey blonde hair, and a smile that’s killed gods.

“don’t worry, i’ve gotcha.”

Gala Woes and Worries

Again I am in a deaged Dani and Dan kick but lets mix in the idea of Danny being forced to attended a gala Vlad is hosting.

He deaged Dani and Dan and is making sure Danny can't do anything that will embarrass him during the gala via threatening them and putting an anti-ecto shock collar/watch/something on Danny to make him behave.

He just wasn't expecting the Bats, coughWaynescough, to start snooping around or for them to find the two hidden toddlers who are more than ready to make their 'daddy' pay for being a meanie to them and their 'mommy'

(Psst lets make the misunderstanding so much worse when someone, most likely Babs, looks up how long Vlad has been in Danny's life and how old the 'twins' are.)

Listen to me Suzanne Collins did not have to give Katniss and Peeta a history before the games. She did NOT have to do that. She could have just had their story begin when Peeta's name was called. She could have had them be total strangers until the moment of the reaping.

Like: "And the boy tribute is... Peeta Mellark!" Katniss: Who's that? Or she could have made them vaguely familiar with each other! Peeta's name is called and Katniss just thinks, Oh, I know that name! He's in my class, actually. Poor boy... Anyway!

Either way, SC could have written the rest of the story exactly the same! I think many authors would have done that! Because if Peeta's purpose in the book was to be Gale's competition, to be one of the 3 corners of a love triangle, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN THE WAY TO DO IT!! But that's NOT how she did it because that's NOT what Peeta is.

And what is he? To Katniss, Peeta's someone who saved her and her family and received nothing in return except a beating. Peeta's someone she has had her eye on but has never worked up the courage to talk to. Peeta's someone she associates with kindness and hope. And all this before the start of the events of the book! Just because WE, the READERS, met Gale before Peeta and immediately felt a connection with him does NOT mean that was Katniss's experience! And that's what SC is trying to tell us!

To dismiss Katniss and Peeta's past as unimportant or inconsequential compared to whatever Katniss and Gale have in the present is to fundamentally misunderstand Katniss as a character and, as a result, condemn oneself to never fully understand the choices she makes in the future.

Suzanne Collins wrote it that way on purpose because she had something to say. And no one will ever be able to convince me that something wasn't "It was always going to be Peeta".
