Corphyeus did feel like a mustache twirling villain at the end of DAI but at least they gave him that cool speech "I saw the throne of heaven and it was empty! God is dead and we killed him! I will lead the flock back to the righteous path now that I know the truth™" but Elgarn'an and Ghilian'nan?? Their whole raison d'etre is 'blighted gods do evil shit' that's it. Meredith had a red lyrium Idol driving her insane, but that is not the whole reason she becomes evil. She had to witness her 7 yr mage sister become possessed by a demon and burn down her house killing her whole family in the process. That causes her to follow the Templar Order, gives her a very negative outlook on mages, and makes her strict in her governance of Kirkwall's circle because she believes she is doing the right thing by protecting mages from themselves. The idol just speeds up the process of her become more and more paranoid about mages, and one can argue, she wasn't entirely wrong about the mage situation in Kirkwall (see crazy serial killer necromancer running around for two whole acts). If they weren't going to do anything interesting with Elgarn'an and Ghilian'nan then they should've dropped them and focused solely on Solas.

#dont get me started on the executors plot point it adds nothing to the story and takes away a lot of complexity from the world of thedas #anything epler has had abt it sounds like cope!!#personally i feel DA games work better for me when the stakes are lower DAI was kinda pushing it but the way u act as a herald of a prophet #made it work it and the way the inquistor looks sounds and acts like some one no younger than 27 feels more believable #that they can be a leader of men BUT rook??#comes off as very goofy 19yr old giving life advice he picked up from reading how to win friends and influence ppl #the saddest part of all this is the elven gods couldve been SO interesting if they wrote the religious and political implications for it #cuz it was very weird posing as Neve's elven man slave when infiltrating the venatori cult #as they worship Elgarnan in all his pointy eared glory as a god meanwhile im just standing there?? second class citizen?? hello???#datv critical #datv #da posting

the fact that eddie and maddie have never interacted outside a group setting is so funny actually. you cannot tell me those two wouldnt get on like a house on fire. i fear the day we get a solo maddie and eddie scene is the day we get buddie canon

Bpd green...I see a vision...reds avoidant personality would be hell on earth for him but it's okay. They can work it out.

But for awhile after their reunion I know green woke up every day convinced red was going to walk off into the mountains again. Also just endless guilt about being mean to red when they were younger so he way over compensates now and it feels weird and forced for both of them.

Red has long forgiven green and wouldn't just leave again but unfortunately he doesn't actually like speaking out about how he's feeling so he seems sort of distant which makes green spiral a little.

Red isn't avoidant/closed off bc he thinks green won't care/doesn't trust him to confide in him but green probably sees it that way for awhile. He just has 0 experience with actually talking about your feelings instead of staying silent about how he feels and then leaving to live on a mountain to avoid any stress factors.

It's okay. Theyll figure it out. Being reunited after years of one of you living alone on a mountain and the other drowning in guilt over it will have your conflict resolution skill be a little rusty.

#when green leaves the house he brings his phone wallet keys and The Guilt #do you see the vision. sorry for making green miserable. but its necessary for character development #the plot. the plot of thd giant story ive been writing one sentence of once a month #red does trust and forgive green he really does but in my world him leaving to live on a mountain alone is. well.#yet. not leaving yet. even though red is fr about not disappearing on him. but green isnt convinced at first.#in canon it couldve just been to focus on training. but if we interpret it as a response to stress/anxiety then #his ability to handle stress and resolve conflicts doesnt seem that well developed. he was a kid and is still young so its ok. he'll learn #green is just very afraid of red leaving again. he's convinced he'll mess up somehow and theyll go back to having no contact #red can tell but he doesn't really know how to reassure him other than to tell him hes not leaving. but green sees an asterisk that says Ye #this is all early relationship #they figure it out...being in a messy friendship turned rivals turned friends who like each other is very difficult #trainer red #green oak #blue oak #reguri #pokemon headcanons

#what if you felt unbearable guilt because your brother went missing in the two seconds you were separated #and you feel like there mustve been Something you couldve done to prevent it #if only you had stuck together. if only you hadnt let him tag along on your basically-a-suicide-mission in the first place #but none of those things happened so you go through three years blaming yourself #continuing to search for him because maybe hes still out there. and maybe exhausting yourself on an aimless search is a way you can atone #and then you're pulled into this big destiny adventure so your searching is put on the back burner #you're so busy doing important things and meeting new friends and there are points in your adventure where your heart feels lighter #and maybe you open up just a little about the crushing guilt you feel. and your new friends say it wasnt your fault #maybe you start accepting that your brother is really gone but you have to keep living your life #saving your brother was a far out dream but saving the world is something you have the power to do #so you try your best. so you dont fuck up this time #your guilt becomes the fuel keeping you going #and then at the end of your journey #you find out one of the biggest obstacles on your journey #the human chimera that you felt kinda horrified at and a little bad for even as you fought them #is your brother you've been mourning and agonizing over not being able to save #so um. The Guilt is even worse now #now he doesnt just feel responsible for his death. he Now feels responsible for him becoming this Creature Thing under porkys control #and in a lucas dies scenario. hoogh i cant imagine how claus would feel after that.......#however the thing that spurred this post was thinking about the lucas lives postgame scenario (it just got a bit out of hand lol) so.#your brother is alive and back home again and youre so unbelievably glad #but the guilt still creeps up every time you see how much hes Changed. physically and mentally #you had just started to accept the fact youd have to live without your brother but somehow having him back is almost just as painful #things cant just go back to how they were before. youll never be the exact same happy family as you used to be #its strange adjusting to having lucas back and its strange trying not to step on each others toes with their trauma #you cant help but be clingy because you couldnt bear it if he disappeared again under your watch #but nobody wants to be watched all the time especially when youre recovering from your brainwashed identity as an army commander #FUCK I REACHED THE TAG LIMIT I WANTED TO RAMBLE MORE AUGH. you know what i would love to be an option in bg3? making your own party member. like Icewind Dale style. choose their class, voice, appearance and travel with them. obvs i understand why they didnt, but it wouldve been so fun to have the option to make your own member, esp if they could be incorporated into your backstory. a sibling, parent, spouse, adventuring buddy, best friend.

#this being spurred on by my want of my pc sabine being joined by my drow pc schezelle #have been working on them more (made sabine a lathander paladin as that made more sense and schezelle a seluné worshipping sorcerer)#they both knew each other through mutual friends becore being kidnapped in baldurs gate. while sabine was an experienced adventurer #schezelle only recently escaped the underdark after betraying her family after being rescued by members of sabines adventuring party #so all this kind of danger is very new and scary for her. i have her at about 70 #(young adult in elf years) and sabine a half elf at 45.#whereas sabine follows the canonical romance line with shadowheart #schezelle falls for astarion and supports him unequivocally but gets trapped into a relationship with him when she helps him ascend and #his alignment/the relationship as a whole changes. after the tadpole is removed the rest of the party help her get away from him and #in the meantime she looks for a way to use either true restoration/resurrection/some other cure for his vampirism #because she realizes she made a HUGE mistake just going along with everything he wanted to do #and only went along with it because 1. her own alignment is still slowly becoming unfucked cos. female drow raised in the underdark #2. shes just used to doing what people who like her say because its easier that way and doesnt make conflict #i dont think she gets back together with astarion after she finds a cure for him but they stay close. she returns to waterdeep with sabine #and shadowheart to live in the formers tavern with her adventuring party #maybe falls in love with gale while researching cures for astarion #idk yet still thinking things through and going through the game #anyway yeah. wish i couldve made a friend for sabine. think she gets lonely and misses home a lot during the adventure.

something kinda funny about peter lukas is that his loneliness screws him over so badly repeatedly like he had a really sheltered upbringing he hasnt and doesnt want to understand other humans so when hes dealing with for example jon u can just tell because hes failing so bad at convincing him to stay in the lonely but he is trying and it just… isnt working not to mention he gives up so easily
