The composition is so dope!! I love the sharp, neat divide (I even saw a lot of confusion on Atsushi and Akutagawa's respective positions, this image specifically I had to readjust myself ahah); yet this striking contrast comes together with such compelling complementary motifs that make the whole composition feel so complete and harmonious! And, their theme colors being inverted? Akutagawa against white and Atsushi against black? The blue details on Akutagawa's side and the red details on Atsushi's? And the hands!!! The symbolism of coming together! Making peace with each other!!! Collaborating!!! Literally joining hands!!!!!

I love the red details!!! The splashes of blood make for such a cool and beautiful visual!!!! It evokes the violence that's so inherent to them!!!!!! And the circles!!! The completeness, fullness they evoke!!! How there's no angles or edges!!!! It's such a peaceful and harmonious shape!!!! How you can't separate them!!!! How they're two halves of the same whole!!!!! How they only make sense together!!!!! On top of, this recent stylistic choice of Harukawa of giving the lineart a touch of chromatic aberration is so pretty, it gives their figures a subtle ethereal glow. The light is very pretty too!!! How it comes from behind leaving their fronts mostly dark!! Because in front of them they're currently facing their darkest hour!!! And I need to go back to each of them being against their inverse color because like. Sskk's journey isn't just about Akutagawa becoming good; it's a double sided effort. It's also about Atsushi learning and accepting the “dark” side of himself, about him understanding that not everything that lies in darkness is heartless and despicable, about him understanding there's more to Akutagawa than a mindless devil, overall, it's about Atsushi understanding Akutagawa. And the colors in this do such a good job at depicting that!!!! They've grown so much since the start of the story, and now they're standing proud side by side– not opposite to each other, but rather completing the same space. It makes me a little emotional.
