really fun to be fronting while sunny is around like. Hes actively still in summer. Its like he hasnt fully accepted that its not summer anymore, he's still bright and warm and sunshiney. Fuck wait hes just like that post cancelled hell he just does that

#when you actually look at the recipes they're not even that weird or anything I just find the names interesting#there's one just titled ''Rocks'' which I wish would have fit as another option but I used all the spaces lol#Also some of the recpies from the section 'Cookery For The Sick And Convalescent'#are just like 'apple water'' 'beef essence''#I tried to leave out most of the obvious ''weird'' ones like 'jellied shrimp' or potted pigeon or like beef livers or whatever#except for cold fish pudding which I just like because of the specifics#'fish pudding' ? eh sounds normal. 'COLD fish pudding' ? now it sounds funnier for some reason#like what else is it meant to be.. ?? lukewarm fish pudding#Also considered including 'bread queen' 'cracker queen' and 'egg balls'#the name 'baconized meat balls' is funny but also I felt it would skew the reuslts since everyone likes bacon#and would just choose that lol. I also like 'rummage pickle' and 'Creamy Eggs Basket Style'#Which again are all like. relatively totally normal recipes but the way they choose to phrase the titles can sound silly#Like ''rocks'' just seems like some sort of cookie maybe - with currants and raisins in it (not really an oatmeal cookie#but just .. idk.. ?? maybe little balls with fruit in them) but instead of being like 'Raisin & Currant Treats' or whatever#it's like ''yeah lets just call this ''rocks''. like a rock from the ground? yeah'#ANYWAY#Love old books so much.. I should do another one of these where people choose which product is the best out of#all the various weird things shown in the advertising section of the 1880s magazines I have lol#I dont remember clearly but I swear there was like 'Electric shoe!' or something strange. Actually u keep mentioning the stageplay and im curious like does it follow the game story (if te game has one???), is it like an og sidestory or smth. I mostly know about it from you ASDJKNDSVÑJ (and i know nothing of alva so i cant. Really say much👍)
not quite actually! they basically threw everyone (hunter and survivor) in the same room together and made everyone interact with each other if the plot needed it but they do re-enact how the game works - the people behind the stageplay wrote the story slightly different but the creators of the game permitted them to make their own spin of the story :) its actually really good! though what made me really love the stageplay is their "abridged" version of an episode (this goes for all eps) which is basically just a comedy. (if you saw me spam pics of stageplay, its when they all wear tracksuits) it just made everyone so much more lovable to me and gave me a fresh new opinion of characters i never really minded much :3

#I like this episode! Very good. Very b/sd.#It's just...#I just don't really like the narrative “everyone else is stupid and must be taken care of because they're too dumb to do it themselves”.#It just feels unnecessarily discriminatory.#I understand it could be what Ranpo wanted to hear in that moment‚ after a life of feeling like walking among monsters#... But to pretty much say everyone is lesser than him doesn't sound good at all tbh. And pretty anti-democratic.#Yeah I just really can't vibe with scorning and looking down upon everyone else even when it comes from a place of rightful frustration.#Sorry.#But it is very b/sd so there's that.#The fact that Ranpo is so soooo intelligent but also wasn't able to tell Fukuzawa was lying at him about his ability–#does feel a bit plot hole-y to me. Like I get Fukuzawa is very persuasive - he didn't even give Ranpo the time to get too sceptical -#And I get in a way Ranpo /wanted/ it to be true. Still it's been established soooooo much up to now that he can see through anything...#But maybe I can only complain ajsyfcsigeufleiub sorry. Again it was a very good episode and an heartwarming story#I also think the murder victim turning out to be alive is the most underwhelming result of any mystery plot but that's just me#Even then I think Tokio's character is an interesting one!! And I love theater#What else. Brilliant episode animation wise.#The black&white to colour is still probably the most witty original and beautiful thing the b/sd anime ever came up with#(Each instance of good animation makes me salty at s5ep3 but eh. Uh oh, the mom poll got me thinking about my sister's mum and her untimely death just before her planned retirement. Our dad is still alive and retired and financially comfortable despite himself. Her mum raised her alone from before she could even walk, got zero child support and went from comfortable middle class life to absolute poverty with a tiny child. She managed to get her teaching degree and get a job that supported them both even if it didn't pay well enough for her to ever be able to afford a house or anything. She did great in the least forgiving of circumstances, but the toll it took on her! It was no coincidence that she suffered poor health and died early.
Anyway, blah blah, the banality of evil and its root in a fundamental selfishness (selfishness my other sister and I were at least in a position to benefit from, in the sense that our access to life's fundamentals through (most, but crucially not all of) our childhoods was not precarious) of one man in particular, currently enjoying a retirement of pleasing himself following a comfortably successful life of pleasing himself.
My sister's mum still wouldn't have had a lot of money in retirement but she would have had, for the first time in her adult life, the abundance of time and opportunity to do things just to please herself. That she never got the chance is an absolute travesty.
#my sister's mum was an amazing person and a fantastic mother and it is significant that sister is the only one of us to have had kids#anyway to answer the poll 'your mum' and 'our mum' generally refer to two different people in our sibling group#so the difference in phrasing is literally meaningful and not linguistically significant or quirky#unless i'm talking to my full sibling and the use of 'our mother' there is to enhance the exasperated and/or sarcastic tone#ANYWAY why don't people have kids anymore what a fucking mystery eh
