You mentioned in a post the other day that both sisters in Properties Of swung wildly from disliking how they were raised, and elaborated on what this meant for Adaine. How about for Aelwyn? Anything you want to share about what of Aguefort's childrearing habits have impacted her?

So when living with the Abernants both sisters were kinda jealous of the other. Not as much on Aelwyn's side but she was envious of how much Adaine expressed herself no matter what the consequences

So when she "moved out" Aelwyn ran hard and fast in that direction. Of doing what she wanted when she wanted no matter what happened after. Augefort was, of course, extremely supportive of this mindset and pushed her and taught her how to have the power to really do whatever she wanted.

(even encouraging it in ways that dive into Spoiler territory. Oops, who said that)

One thing I like writing with Aelwyn and Aguefort's interactions is that she's always back talking him or getting annoyed with him or telling him off. This isn't because she hates her adoptive dad or is even all that upset at him most of the time. It's just because she loves the fact that she can talk back to her parental figure without that immediately ruining her life. Gives her a rush every time

Mainly, the thing to remember about the two sisters is that Adaine will give up almost any personal control for love and attention and Aelwyn will give up almost any personal connection for freedom. That's why it's so hard for them to understand the other.
