Like, don't get me wrong. I've seen way worse (the stuff of nightmares) on a modding channel I've been teaching myself this stuff lately, so. It's not like I completely fucked this thing up or anything like that.

It's just... I still gotta ask though.

A/N I wasn't planning on posting this until tomorrow, but it seems to have some rather excited fans so here is chapter four (and the fourth thing I'm publishing today. We're very done for the day. I am tried and have actual work to do.) Also guys, I'm screaming. I accidentally deleted the whole things right before I was gonna post it. Thankfully I had a draft from when it was almost done save but like, god that sucked.

On the screen was Vox, seated behind a desk.

"Top of the hour and we're discussing a certain has-been how has been spotted cavorting around town after a seven year absence." Vox was saying, a poorly drawn image of Alastor displayed on the screen to his left.

Y/n saw Alastor's ear twitch with irritation.

"Yeah." she sighed, folding her arms across her chest, "Vox has gone kinda crazy since you left. I told you, things got tough."

"Did anybody miss him? Did anybody notice? More on tonight's program." Vox said through the TV, shuffling a stack of papers.

Alastor changed the channel with another flick of his finger.

"Hun, don't worry yourself with it." Y/n advised, "He's still gonna be there tomorrow."

The new channel showed a talk-show set up, Vox-2-Nite, where Vox was both host and guest.

"So, the old Radio Demon is back in town." host Vox was saying to himself as guest.

"Why is he hanging around?" guest Vox asked, taking a sip from a mug that had 'fuck Alastor' written on the side.

"Al." Y/n warned, sensing her friends irritation growing.

"What does that mean for your family?" Host Vox asked before Alastor changed the channel again.

Vox was on the screen again, before a bright red curtain.

"Well, handily, I've got good news." he was saying theatrically, "He's a loser, a fossil, and I don't mean to sound hostel-"

Alastor changed the channel again. This time to one of Vox's mega church broadcasts. Vox stood in the center of the screen wearing a pope's hat with an inverted cross on it.

"But the demon is a coward!" he announced, his words matching the previous channels sentiments perfectly.

"Jesus, V." Y/n asked, eyes wide, "How many channels are you running this on?"

"You can take that as gospel. Pulling my viewers? Impossible. I'm visual, he's barely audible."

"Y/n." Alastor hummed, his eyes still fixed on the screen.

"Yeah?"

"You wont mind if I handle this quickly. We can have our little chat after, I promise. It wont take more than a moment."

"I don't know, Al..." Y/n sighed, crossing her arms and tapping her foot slightly, "This isn't good for you, letting him get under your skin like this."

Alastor changed the channel again. A cooking show appeared and Vox was standing before the oven, singing along to the music playing in the background.

"But he should've stayed away! While he hid in radio, we pivoted to video!"

Vox on screen turned to the oven as he sang, opening it and pulling out a deer's head on a plate. Y/n bristled at the site, her horns growing just the tiniest bit longer, her teeth just the smallest bit sharper.

"And now his medium is getting bloody rare!"

"Al?" Y/n asked sharply.

"Yes, darling?"

"I lied." Y/n turned to face him, "He took this shit musical. Rip him a new one."

"Oh!" Millie exclaimed, excitedly grabbing onto Moxxie's arm, "We're gonna get a show!"

Alastor's grin widened at Y/n's words, if that was even possible. He stuck his hand out to the side, his microphone materializing in his grasp.

"Lucky for me, I've got the best voice this side of the divide on my side." he noted, shooting Y/n a look.

Her eyes flashed red.

"You flatter me."

Alastor brought his microphone to his mouth, suddenly exceedingly calm. The imps present in the room watched in shock as his ears flattened along his head.

"Salutations, good to be back on the air!" he announced into the device, "Yes I know it's been a while since someone with style treated hell to a broadcast. Sinners rejoice!"

Vox's brow furrowed on the TV screen as he inched up close to the camera.

"What a dated voice." Vox shot back, clearly listening to Alastor's broadcast on the set of his cooking show.

"Instead of a clout chasing, mediocre, video podcast." Alastor continued, not showing any sign he had noticed the TV demon's insult, "Is Vox insecure, pursuing allure? Flitting between this fad and that, is nothing working?"

"Ignore his chirping!" Vox commanded from the TV.

Y/n laughed and, turning to face Alastor, realized the man held a hand out to her. With a smile, she took it and he spun her into his arms as he spoke. The music echoed through the office as Alastor raised the volume on the TV once again.

"Every day he's got a new format."

Alastor spun Y/n back out again as the pair began dancing.

"You're looking at the future!" Vox yelled back, "He's the shit that comes before that!"

As Alastor spun Y/n back into his arms, she laid one of her hands on top of his holding the microphone and pulled it closer to her face.

"Is Vox as strong as he purports, or is it based on his support?" she sang in a clear voice, Blitzo, Millie, and Moxxie's eyes widening with recognition at the sound, "He'd be powerless without the other Vees."

"That's true!" Alastor noted, pulling the microphone back to himself as Y/n let go of his hand and he spun her back out again.

"It can't be..." Moxxie muttered under his breath.

"Holy shit!" Millie cut him off, excitement creeping into her voice, "There's no way, Y/n is the guest star?"

"The fuck are you two talking about?" Blitzo asked, turning to Millie and Moxxie as they watched the couple continue to dance.

"Well, Sir," Moxxie began, fiddling with the cuffs of his jacket, "back before the Radio Demon went missing, he used to bring guests onto the show on occasion. There was one guest he never named during his broadcasts however. She mostly just sang songs and chatted with him but, she sounded an awful lot like Y/n did just now."

"You don't say." Blitzo hummed, his arms crossed as he turned back to Y/n and Alastor, "So much for little miss 'oh, my life has been so boring. You'd probably just fall asleep if I started talking about it!' She is so gonna get it later."

Alastor let go of Y/n's hand and leaned into the microphone, beginning to sing as well, using the music emanating from the TV as a base.

"And here's the sugar on the cream: he asked me to join his team!"

"Hold on!" Vox yelled.

"I said no and now he's pissy, that's the tea!" Alastor finished, ignoring the demon once again.

"You old timey prick!" Vox exclaimed, his face glitching slightly as Y/n wandered back over to Alastor.

She leaned an elbow on his shoulder, tilting her head to the side in amusement as they watched Vox struggle.

"I'll show you suffering!"

"Aww, the TV is buffering." Y/n said, leaning into the microphone, her voice dripping with sickly sweet pity.

"I'll destroy yoo-o-u-u" Vox exclaimed as his technical difficulties seemed to grow worse.

Alastor and Y/n exchanged a wicked pair of smiles as the TV flickered out. Shadows crept from the edges of the room, encircling their feet. Alastor held an arm out to Y/n once again which she took with a smile. In a flash of darkness, they were gone.

"What the fuck was that?" Loona asked, stalking into the room.

“You know as well as I do you’re not obligated to share private details about your life with other people. Especially people you don’t know,” Carmy told her. “Things with your channel don’t have to change at all. I’ll come and go as I always do and you can let them draw their own conclusions like you always do.”

Syd studied him. “Why are you so, I dunno, so eager to help me?”

“You’re always going above and beyond for me and I know how much you want to do this. It seems like the least I can do,” Carmy answered. “Besides, it’s not like I’m already doing it. Isn’t the whole reason I show up in your videos occasionally to deter the guys in the comments section who always say they want to ‘wife you up’ or worse shit?”

Syd blushed. “Do you want me to toast the bread?” she asked instead of answering his question.

“Yeah, sure.”

She washed her hands and put the slices of bread into her toaster. She turned around and looked at him, he’d flipped the eggs and was slicing cheese. It was kind of a surreal moment, having Carmy in her kitchen, making her breakfast while he tried to convince her to allow him to be her fiancè.

Less than twelve hours ago it had been her in that position. Except she guessed it hadn’t taken much persuading. She had asked and he had agreed easily. He’d made jokes about people already thinking they were together.

“I can’t think of one logical reason why this is a good idea,” Syd told him.

“You seemed to think it was a good idea last night,” Carmy replied. “Is the toast ready yet? The eggs are almost done and egg sandwiches aren’t good if they’re cold.”

Syd popped the toaster and got two plates from the cabinet. She watched as Carmy assembled the sandwiches with thin slices of cheddar and spicy ketchup. 

“You might end up married to me if you’re not careful,” Syd said as he served her a heaping pile of hashbrowns, hoping he would perceive it as a threat and end the conversation or suddenly change his mind.

AITA for leaving my friend groups Discord server?

💐💐💐 So I can find this later. For context, I was in 2 servers that were friend groups, where my friends would all interact with each other, play & stream games, etc. However, recently we had a situation where someone, let's call her Sasha, would send many vent messages in the general channel, then delete said message before we could respond or even look at the messages, & get mad at us for not responding. She'd also complain about everything that happened in her life, school, in games, & she'd always repeat the same things, over & over again. In the end, we got tired of how she was forcing everyone to stop being as active in the server because of her behavior & actions, so we all made another server, without Sasha, so we could interact with peace without her interrupting conversations. This all happened 3-4 months ago. Then 3 of the people in our new server got a game on Roblox, Deepwoken. Another person, let's call him Kevin, already had the game for a while, so they all got the game & started playing all together. They were incredibly passionate about it, it would be the only thing talked about. One of them got me the currency to get Deepwoken, so I could play with them all. A while later, I got a hang of the game, then when I asked if any of them could play with me, one of them, let's call him Tim, would keep telling me that "Oh, you have to play the game alone to get the real experience, & to learn things better." every time I would ask. Sometimes, rarely, they'd answer some questions I had about the game that I didn't quite grasp yet, & a lot of the time i'd just, not receive any answer. After a while, I got tired of how they didn't respond to me at all, so I just stopped playing. Keep in mind, I don't have any other friends that have the game, so I didn't have anyone else to talk to about it. I love my friends but I felt ignored & was hurt, so I passed ownership to another friend of mine, & left. About a day after leaving, I ended up feeling extremely depressed & overwhelmed with schoolwork, eye appointments, a random limb & joint pain that I had no idea why I was having, & I accidentally unfriended Tim. With my being extremely overwhelmed, thinking it was a good idea at the time, I sent him a message saying "accidentally unfriended u mb. u could also not accep, that works too" Then another message after that one, "okay well um, im gonna assume that you arent going to accept it again so thank you for all youve done for me before you say that im making it sound like i gave up; i have given up i gave up a little while ago" After that, I got a message from him saying that I needed to calm down, that my friend request wasn't the most important thing in his mind right now, & that he's allowed to put it on hold for at least a day before I start telling him some "nvm shit". I sincerely apologized & told him that I needed to take a break, that I hope he's doing okay, & that I hope college goes well for him. I did indeed, take a break, for only 2 weeks because I felt extremely guilty, stupid & reckless. Those weeks felt like forever because that whole thing was on my mind 24/7. It was eating me alive. & No, I am not saying to gain pity. Just trying to explain what I felt. Tim answered, told me that I should grow & change as a person, & that he doesn't mean it in a condescending way, that the server was meant to be a safe space, that in order to make everyone comfortable, there's some things we need to just not say or some things we need to think about a lot before saying them. It's the reason Sasha got booted, & that we give as much as we get. I'm reading back on his messages, & I didn't say anything in the server to make everyone uncomfortable. Am I the asshole?

Well, I mentioned in another post that the main courting ritual for butterfly hybrids is gifting sweets. So if you didn't see that post, I think it's very cute to keep in mind that that is the whole reason Lizzie learned to be a really good baker! She wanted to make sweets for Joel so she could court him properly!

Joel, being a bad boy, tried to play it cool and act like he wasn't all that interested in sweets, but his antenna spark with glamor when he gets excited and that was a dead give away. She had to stop surprising him with cookies or sweets she made because if he wasn't expecting it the patterns in his wings would light up with glamor from happy surprise and we all know Joel isn't supposed to channel glamor in his wings anymore 😔

Joel is shorter than Lizzie and grumpy about it! Lizzie is also way stronger than him, which results in some very funny events such as her carrying him over the threshold of their bakery when they first got the building, because without being able to channel glamor Joel can't lift Lizzie anymore. He was huffy about the whole thing but he let Lizzie do it because it made her happy. Grian still has the photos, Joel wishes he could burn or delete them but there's no way Grian is letting that happen. 😆

Joel goes for check-ups at the labs with Doc several times a year to make sure the tear in his wing isn't getting any worse. They've tried a few temporary solutions to ease his pain, including different potions and they've even discussed the idea of attempting an augmentation, but Joel refused. It would be too heavy, and glamor can't pass through inorganic material, so while maybe it might ease some of his pain, it would shut down any hope of a treatment coming along in the future that might be able to repair his wing so he can fly again. Not like he's holding out hope, he's pretty much accepted at this point he'll never fly again, but that doesn't make it any easier. We've seen him work through all of this, though, and now he at least will go for flights with his avian friends or Mumbo...y'know, if he can convince Mumbo to fly. 😆

Hi this is Q! I’m coming out of the woodwork to address this, since I did went radio silent out of the blue so it’s not a bother at all

The short answer is Yes, I deleted my tiktok

Yes delete not deactivate, I’m not coming back to That app or IG or Twt, I deleted my socials except here and YouTube, I honestly felt so overwhelmed with everything, I realized I’m not even posting for myself anymore there. A lots of people crossed my boundaries time and time again I felt so helpless, bitter with myself. I guess I was just overwhelmed with the attention I got; both positive and negatives ones.

Im done and I want to start over so that’s why I’m here and on YouTube, I already posted some of these on my community tab on YT but here’s what I have in mind for the future of the content I want to create: more detail under the cut, and also;

CW: very brief mention of spiraling, harm inflict oneself or others, paranoia, etc

•Long-form content: my attention span is a bit messed up from consuming and making short-form content to the point where I can’t focus in university. I want to create something meaningful. It’s not that my previous content was not meaningful, no. I had fun and no time is wasted when I have fun, it was warm… but as I mentioned earlier, I just felt this lingering bitterness the longer I stayed making those short-form content. It really felt like I was on the verge of losing it. Especially with how the bigger following I have the less people think of me as a person than just another content creator you see on the internet,

I want to create long-form content, I’m so tired of forcing myself to generate 15 second content. On tiktok it just feels like I’m just creating and not really connecting. I want to try something new, maybe create an open space for meaningful discussion in the comments. I don’t think I can stand another copy-paste tiktok comment anymore. You know what I meant if you’re frequent on that app.

•Art Content with Commentary: and don’t worry this won’t be those petty artist drama issue, but I will still cover anything serious

it could be love letters or video essays ranging from fan fictions, fandom culture, the art scene and so much more. I may even share a bit of my personal life, this will be self indulgent after all! I want to make it fun for myself and as well to those who comes across my channel. I really REALLY want to create a genuine following.

On tiktok it’s so easy to gain following but not so easy to retain them, it’s mostly because of the algorithm and the FYP feature there.

On Tiktok most content that would get featured as an artist there would be creative work has to be either; more than exceptional which is pressuring enough already to consistent posters, straight up suggestive content shown to minors (tiktok doesn’t really have a blocked keywords feature but it’s so disheartening to see these creators intentionally not using the sensitive warning since it could limit their reach significantly) oh yes we can’t forget the negativity surrounding beginner artists or “art lore”

All of this cesspool of negativity, it’s a whole can of worms but it will be one of my prominent topics that I wish to discuss in my future art commentaries. I hope you guys are looking forward to those! I might bring in a few people or so to talk about it with me

and finally;

•Streaming: I used to do a lot of streams during the weekends on the clock app and it was super fun! I want to bring that back but that would have to wait since I’m unfamiliar with some features on YouTube, and I’m aware that YT does not have a discoverable feature for stream but that’s alright, I want to start something small first.

In short; I’ll figure it out! just need some baby steps before I start streaming again.

I apologize for deleting everything out of the blue, if I’m gonna be honest it was partially planned because I’ve been thinking about deleting my tiktok, twitter and Instagram for a while now but how it happened? In my breakdown I realized that I don’t want anyone to see me spiral, especially now that I realized how young my audience are, I’m not sure how that happened but I guess posting fandom contents does attract the young ones somehow inevitably, even though my content is nowhere near as suggestive, but I do talk about serious topics from time to time… but I digress, its not fair for them to deal with me if they see me spiral publicly,

it is especially not fair to them to console me. When I was younger than 14, I’ve been in a position where I have to talk down someone who was older, maybe 4-5 years older than me, from harming themselves or anyone, it was traumatizing and unpleasant. I don’t wish for anyone to go through that, it’s very painful.

It’s been… hard for me to ground myself. Ive been seeing things through a kaleidoscope of emotions; I was trying to focus on everything but it’s just too overwhelming so eventually I cracked. But please don’t worry I’ve been doing better now, after some time away from my online persona, and of course spending time with my beloved girlfriend, I see things much more clearly now.

The post-episode 3 shift

So we were talking about how AMC's Interview with the Vampire Season 1 handles their choice of making Louis a black man in the early 1900s. This is a really cool change the show made in its AU version of IWTV, and it brought in a whole lot of subjects to explore that didn't exist in the books, making the TV show a very different work of art. But all the initial ideas for this show came from a cishet white man, and while he down the line had assistance from poc collaborators, I still think the show had areas where it could have done better with regards to some of the story beats, character arcs, and plot progression. I love discussions like this! Please talk to me about vampire chronicles! I live for it! I'm posting this now because I am disappointed that a few people seem to not be understanding several things I said. Maybe I said it unclearly, or maybe they're projecting and jumping to conclusions.

Kind of like how this poster does:

I deleted/banned every single comment on my videos that talked negatively about the show making Louis and Claudia black or deriding it for trying to be woke (and there were a bunch!). I delete block and ban all forms of hate speech. My channel is absolutely not a safe space for racists or bigots of any kind.

As you can see in the screencap, there is nothing in these comments that is about the race changes. These comments are talking about other changes the show made from the books and don't touch on race at all. The poster who screencapped them is jumping to the conclusion that these commenters liking the books better than the show automatically makes them racist, and that these are racist comments. And this screencap is specifically what I was referencing at the beginning of the other thread. Several people have said this now, that my YT comments section makes a safe space for racists. But these are not racist comments, and there is no evidence that the commenters are racist. This is projection and assumption. If you DO ever notice a racist comment on any of my videos, that I somehow missed, please bring it to my attention so that I can immediately delete and ban the user from ever commenting on my channel again.

But back to the show itself and my critique of it. I'm always here for talking about vampire-related writing! Let's go!

I still stand by what I said in my videos about the few issues I had with the show's scripts. If you watched my videos or follow all I've said about the show here on tumblr or elsewhere, you'll know how excited about this show I've been from the very beginning, how obsessively into it I am, following every aspect of production and behind the scenes news. You may even be in one of the multiple discord servers with me where we talk about the show constantly. There was much I really enjoyed about season 1, which I was outspoken about in my videos, and people keep seeming to forget. My videos had a greater percentage of positivity in them than negativity. But yes, I did have critiques as well, just like I do with every single piece of vampire media I discuss on my channel--it's the entire point of my channel!--and those mostly had to do with inconsistency in the writing.

What I've said is that the DRIVING FORCE of the plot wasn’t about Louis's struggles with chafing against society as a black man after episode 3, not that there was no more racism. I said he was obviously still immersed in systemic racism all around him, which the show showed us with visual details in the background, despite no one talking about them. This is fine, we don't need it spelled out for us. TV is a visual medium, and that's what the images are there for. But my discussion is about his character MOTIVATIONS on a writing level. His want vs need. His goal vs obstacle. If you're unversed on the techniques of story writing and plot structure, I recommend Blake Snyder's book Save the Cat as a crash course. In ep 1-3, for Louis, it was about being respected as a man equal to others among his society, the citizens of New Orleans, his colleagues and business rivals. Fighting for social opportunities that were limited to him because he is black. That story ends with episode 3 and a new story begins. I’m not saying this is a bad thing. I just said I NOTICED it.

After it all burns down, Louis stops focusing on society respecting him as a human being (which was ironic to begin with, because he’s not human anymore) and his driving plot becomes about making and keeping a family and such. Obviously race is still an element of that in a mixed marriage, but it’s not about his business or social standing anymore, these parts of his life that were SO IMPORTANT to him in the first three episodes. In the books, vampires stop caring about that kind of stuff the second they are made, but the show changed it to take Louis a few years to get there instead of it happening instantly.

Obviously racism doesn't magically disappear or stop mattering once he accepts his vampire nature (which Lestat kind of promises him it will), but it does shift to being a background element for what we see on screen. He is not focused on it anymore, when it used to be the primary driving force of his plot. We hardly even get to see Louis interact with (racist) society again til the finale (and I made this observation on episode 5, which the end-of-episode credits told us was written by a white person). For example, the police that come to their door are bigoted to him and Lestat because they’re gay, but meanwhile, they act completely colorblind. At this point, Louis’s character motivations are about fear of them being caught for murder, and his emotions regarding how Claudia is struggling with her eternal child body and lashing out--about keeping his family together. Not about his racial struggles as a businessman and citizen in outward society.

Yes, we all know there were non-white people in the writer’s room (thank god! Can you imagine?? If there weren’t any, we’d all have been raging from the very beginning! Did you read RJ’s episode 1 script draft before it got revised with the input of black/queer/female editors? OOF), but the choice to completely shift Louis’s driving character motivations away from his impassioned societal race struggle to something different after 3 episodes was part of the original season outline made by white people before any poc were brought on to the team. 

And again, I didn’t say it was a bad thing, it was just something I NOTICED, and the way the show executed it felt very abrupt and clunky. Did I want the cops to not be colorblind and get in some racial digs and microaggressions while they were at Louis’s house? Ew no. But I did NOTICE that they didn’t do that, and how it was so different from the way Louis was spoken to by white people in the first 3 episodes. Did the white writer of this episode perhaps feel uncomfortable going there?

The season told two different stories for Louis, with an abrupt turn in the arc after episode 3. It didn’t feel like an arc at all, but a sharp angle. Starting with Claudia, Louis’s primary drives and character motivations completely change. He no longer wants to be an important businessman respected in society, he becomes “the housewife,” and never once seems to miss his desperately-fought-for social status at all. This comes back to what I said about the show being weakened by trying to shove in too much book stuff. Ep1-3 were all these cool new original ideas from the show with Louis having entirely new character motivations based on the show's changes to his background. They were naturally driven by what him being black in 1910 now meant. But after that story was done, it abruptly shifts back to more of how he in in the books, and trying to suddenly pull him back to his book personality/motivations/goals after giving us this whole new organically-evolved self in 1-3 was notable. I noticed it.

All in all, I think it probably would have worked much better on a writing level if it was treated as two separate mini seasons instead of presenting itself as an attempt at one coherent whole.

Hi! Thank you very much! Glad u like it. Great questions actually. Well I’ve been a collector basically since I was a kid cause I kept a lot of childhood favorites throughout the years but started thrift in 2009 my freshman year in high school. So at first me and my sister shared that green room when we were super little (it was baby pink at the time) then when we got a little older, my parents gave me this smaller room, and my sister got our old jointed room.

I’ve always been an angst music girl and kept my toys and collection around random places or packed away. Well when my sister moved out of my parents. I got her old room, that iconic room you all have seen. As I always loved my toys and childhood and yeah, I love Metallica and I love the Backstreet Boys too! I just was always super self conscious about it. Finally one day, I just said fuck it! I like whatever I like and I don’t care. I packed all my band merch away and decided to do what I wanted to do is when I did a whole redecoration of both rooms. I did this in 2016. It was the height of my Tumblr famous 90s2000sgirl Blog. Before I deleted all my content everywhere and went on a short hiatus. Those photos It’s definitely not from childhood though people get confused a lot and think it is.

The inspiration was not only just my childhood and collections but how I DREAMED of me and my sisters joint room back when we were small and shared this room together how we would have wanted it. Like how would these little girls wanted this room but thought it was impossible. lol so my parents made me keep the 2 beds and at first I was irritated but then I kinda used it to my advantage cause I had soo many cool Bedding stuffed animals and our old Canopy. Also my best friend use to stay the night all the time so really it ended up coming in handy anyways so that’s why I had the 2 beds. I hated it at the time but they wanted them after I moved out. lol I use to get questions about it all the time but that’s why.

I have a room tour on my youtube channel From that same time I did the redecorating. I use to get lots of questions about a room tour so I did a cheesy video on close ups telling where I got some of my stuff and how much I paid. Though I decorated in 2016, everything is from 90s-2000s. It took me quite a few hours to put everything up but I had it all up within one day but sometimes when I’d look at the shelves, I’d watch tv and move a few pieces around. Sometimes things look fine till ur really sitting there looking back and it looks goofy. lol another thing about my room, I had a lot more stuff too! Even posters I’d swap toys and posters out all the time! My rooms were always changing. No one would hardly notice but I just have so much and not much space. Though I loved this room, I will admit it’s so nice to be in a full house now. I just don’t share photos anymore.

Ironhide was supposed to be working with Prowl, that's where Prime put him. However he was not one to leave his Prime alone. Optimus was well known for going and almost getting himself blown up at every turn, so Ironhide was not much inclined to leave his Prime alone on a foreign world with a bunch of trigger happy mecha, an old medic, and a youngling.

It was against orders, but sometimes a mech just needs to break orders to get things done. So it didn't bother Ironhide all that much when he snatched as much energon, weaponry, and ammo as possible and took off in a small ship to try and track Optimus and his team down. But of course he wasn't able to get off without a hitch, he had Prowl on his aft for roughly a groon and had to avoid the mech's attempts to recall him for a while. Then there were the random meteoroid showers that had him having to stop for a time as well as the odd Autobot bases he stopped at the check in and help fight off whatever threat there was in the area. He had a goal, but it was hard to not get sidetracked every two Kliks.

However eventually he got a reading regarding Optimus's last known location. He hadn't exactly told the whole army where he was heading for fear of Megatron doing something abhorrent or blowing them all up. Despite that it was not the most difficult thing in the world to use Prowl's codes to get into the database and find where Optimus was off to when he ditched the army to tail Megatron. Admittedly Ironhide found himself raising a brow at the planet of Earth when he looked into it. The place was a mudball covered in organic life while somehow managing to have energon in strangely large quantities. Personally he found it to be a less than ideal place for any Cybertronian to settle, much less Megatron, but he shrugged, set the coordinates, and shot off toward where Optimus was last recorded being.

It was quite a boring trip, but when he arrived to Earth he was beyond giddy when he noted the Decepticon presence on the planet. Sure he was largely out of ammo after his numerous pitstops and hardly had enough energon to last him another deca-cycle, but what was life without a little risk? He grinned and flew down planet side the moment he got a ping from the resident Autobots requesting his serial number. By the time he was close enough to give it and open a video channel, he had no problems keeping up a slag eating grin in response to Ratchet's blanching at his presence.

"Aye Doc. How've ya been?"

Ironhide was met with a groan of agitation that had him cackling even as Optimus and the rest of the team came on call and began directing him toward their base of operations. Landing his ship and striding out like he owned the place earned him an excited set of binary greetings from Bumblebee, groans from Ratchet, a series of largely uncertain expressions from Arcee and Bulkhead, and mixed disappointment and relief from Optimus. He was welcomed with open arms and brought into the base to be brought up to speed. He only ended up listening to about half of it before he regretted life itself upon it being made clear that being incognito was required. He was a warrior, having to hide was not exactly his strong suit.

"Prime, you can't really mean I've gotta hide like I ain't a weapons specialist?"

"This is what is required Ironhide. If the humans know of our presence, we will be exposed and they will be roped into our war"

"They're called humans? Huh, squishy lookin things they are"

Ironhide took up an alt-mode without too much of a fuss and blended into the team well as he took up the place Cliffjumper left behind. He was gruff but amusing in his own way and brought a degree of levity to the situation with his trigger happy nature. Ratchet despised him as he did everyone who turned up at his station too often. Arcee was largely annoyed with him for failing to follow proper protocol when on the battlefield. Bulkhead found Ironhide a welcome relief even if he had to try and reign him in more often than not and remind him they were on EARTH, not Cybertron. Bumblebee was just happy to have backup in the form of someone familiar and Optimus was largely in the same boat.

Ironhide fought well and without issue, granting the team greater success through grit alone. The Decepticons knew greater fear having one of the most aggressive Autobots turn up on the battlefield despite the mech in question supposedly being stationed elsewhere. Vehicons all know that the moment Ironhide turns up, its best to flee unless one is eager to have a frame full of machine gun bullets. Ironhide has and will continue to have no qualms eliminating threats, even if they are just Vehicons. Starscream had war flashbacks the first time he took to the air and got an audial full of swearing fit for a flotilla commander from the weapon's specialist. Soundwave began implementing new safety measures the moment he found solid recordings showing Ironhide smiling like a madmech while shooting down Decepticon soldiers. And when Megatron finally returned from his trip snorting dark energon, he too took one look at Ironhide and equipped as many of his units with shields as possible. It wouldn't save them from the heavy weapons Ironhide was known for handling, but it might get them an extra Klik or two on the battlefield.

With Ironhide's help, things were improving for the team despite the constant need to remind him to lay low and stop blowing up every servant class Vehicon he came across. Then the human children got involved.

"What are these things doing in base? This is war, not a sparkling center!"

"I was spotted"

"No slag two wheeler!"

Jack and Ironhide disliked each other on principle. Jack was not fond of combat and it was all that seemed to drive Ironhide to the human boy since he was not aware of many of the finer details of the war. Rafael did not have an issue with Ironhide, but he preferred the slightly tamer bots around base. Ironhide was simply a bit too much for him and it certainly didn't help that the weapons specialist made no effort at all to speak English unless absolutely required. But Miko? She adored Ironhide, and while he refused to admit it, Ironhide came to care for her too.

He refused to speak any English unless there was no other choice when it came to every other human. He would even make a point of only speaking Cybertronian when Agent Fowler came by demanding things of them. Ironhide found it hilarious to watch the human Agent fume at being unable to understand what was being said. But with Miko? Ironhide would gladly butcher the English language to speak with her. Miko in turn had a grand time watching him work on his weapons, asking questions about them, and requesting war stories. Ironhide, ever underappreciated, was thrilled at the attention and took great care with his favorite human.

Was it against the rules? Yes. Did Ironhide get reprimanded on a daily basis? Also yes. But Ironhide knew Optimus when the Prime was but a clerk newly given the responsibilities of running a planet and no Matrix to his name. He had blackmail material and didn't fear his Commander, even if he did respect him. Thus he had no qualms against giving Miko weapons and teaching her to shoot. There were many attempts to stop him, but with a weapons specialist capable of making just about anything into a deadly tool, there was no way he could be kept in line. Besides, Miko wanted to get involved. She was willing to fight for the cause, so why not arm her? Surely it was safer manning a machine gun strapped to Ironhide's shoulder rather than hide behind some rock and possibly get snatched?

When Wheeljack arrived, he agreed with Ironhide's assessment. Thus with their respective trigger happy nature combined, Ratchet lamented life, Optimus gave up trying for the most part, and Miko found herself a gunner for one of her favorite fighters.

Ironhide may or may not have also continually entertained himself by scaring the local humans by driving with no holoform, but that was just for him to chuckle at when humans posted about the 'Ghost driver'. Optimus was too tired to care, Ratchet couldn't stop him if he wanted to, and the rest of the team didn't have the ball bearings to. Ironhide was allowed to do as he pleased for the most part. It was only when his shenanigans put the team at real risk that Optimus had him sent to his quarters and actually punished for his activities.

I wanted to wait and get a couple of my WIPs ready and posted before doing it, but I'm now back to full time work so it's unlikely I'll finish those WIPs any time soon. 😢 So, here's 5 old fics of mine that I'm fond of. It's hard to choose a favourite, so I chose rather randomly, whatever popped in my head first tbh.

The Unquiet Grave (E, 21,5k, gothic vibes)

Quote: ‘What will happen is this. You’ll drag me to a poncy restaurant one evening soon, and I’ll complain about the number of forks and the size of the portions. Then I’ll drag you to my local and you’ll complain about the wine list and the clientele. This will be a recurring theme. But every time, every single time, we’ll end up in my bed — or yours — and I’ll make you forget your own name.’

My thoughts: I reread this yesterday after years, and I ended up really enjoying it. I particularly liked the dialogue in this read. I'm pretty happy with how this fic turned out. It's got a gothic mood and fits an autumnal mood; I often rec it for Halloween.

Sometimes a man needs (E, 5.5k, Flower Shop)

My thoughts: I love the magical flower shop I created here, the types of flowers I came up with, and, craft-wise, I love Harry's voice. I remember I'd struggled with this fic, starting and deleting, starting and deleting, until I got a handle on Harry's voice and then it flowed in a morning.

The Gift (E, 29,5k, Captive Prince references)

My thoughts: Used to have complicated feelings about this one. I'd hidden it for years and only revealed it a couple of months ago. Draco is a writer here and channels many of my doubts and insecurities. It's not a fic that has a wide appeal, not cute or fluffy at all, but I love my prose here and I had fun with inserting CaPri nods and writing excerpts of a magical CaPri story.

The Boy Who Died (E, 26.8k, Voldemort Wins AU)

Quote: At times he thought he noticed his own lust mirrored in Malfoy’s gaze, like when he cooked and Harry sat on the kitchen table, mouth and fingers sticky with treacle syrup or brown sugar, or when Harry left the shower in his pyjama bottoms, his hair soft like a waterfall down his bare shoulders. Harry had taken to sleeping topless; he couldn’t get used to Malfoy’s fancy pyjamas, and although Malfoy had looked extremely put out the first time, he didn’t object.

My thoughts: I'm just so fond of this one! I thought of the reincarnation plot because of wangxian and I peppered some wangxian Easter eggs in this fic, but I didn't expect to fall in love with this dystopian, Voldemort Wins 'verse. It's a bleak world but somehow this fic has become one of my comfort reads and I've reread it often since posting it.

Through the Looking Glass and What Draco Found There (E, 17.4k, Mirror of Erised alternate dimension)

Quote: Getting to know Harry was to love him: hearing him laugh at Weasley’s jokes, watching him sleep, witnessing his passionate devotion to what was right and the ardor with which he supported his friends. He had butterflies in his stomach just at the sight of him; a sentiment he attempted to hide under a mask of cool detachment, because if anyone found out, Draco would be kicked out of Slytherin for incurable soppiness.

My thoughts: I love the Mirror universe I came up with, and am proud of the treatment of the Shrieking Shack in this fic, which I haven't seen elsewhere. It's one of my works I'm most proud of. I didn't expect it'd be emotional, but I've received a bunch of comments, some of them very recently, saying it made readers cry. oops?

Getting Easier

I didn't expect this to happen, but writing my book is becoming easier! Hopefully this continues. Now, most of the pertinent information is on Tom's laptop instead of my Kindle, thank God! I thought I wouldn't make it for a while. Sometimes I still have doubts about myself and my writing...

I found another modern necromancy book released this year, released by the publisher I was thinking about. This person's book is a more "normal and acceptable" sounding necromancy book. My information is very different because I've had help from my guide and a Demon. Channeling isn't acceptable. So, I will have to change some things if I want to publish. I won't lie or be dishonest - I will just omit information. This modern "gentle approach" necromancy is fuckin stupid.

I'm never mean or harsh to muertos but please don't kill the practice with a stupid "white light and rainbows" or "I'm soooo dark and I'm swathed in black...I love the dead, mmmm.." thing either. Dude, I'm in black too but that means nothing in regards to my spirituality and my practice. I love white as well, but hell, I cannot stay clean! Lol!

I'm pretty sure now where and what my practices come from exactly. They are based in Espiritismo and some other interesting methods that I've intuitively picked up over time. The first is Espiritismo. This hails originally from France, originally from the mid 19th century. Allen Kardec founded it. But Muerteria is not nearly a duplicate of spiritist practices. This is just one of the influences of Muerteria. I learned from a Cuban man about muertos very closely and gathered so much knowledge from many other Spanish/Latino religo-magical experiences that have richly colored and continually developed my Muerteria practice. And now, I'm just learning the meat and potatoes of the Spanish language! 😆 Durrr...I swear, I'm not dumb.

I just put all of these origins together, too. Santa Muerte says, "Jajajaja! " Hey! Stop laughing, abuela! She's like, "Told you so." Easy laugh I am for her. Think she loves me because I'm not boring and I keep her amused. Swear to God! 😊 Our bond is different than other devotees, mainly because I do not pray to her. I used to and it felt wrong to beg. I've never felt right. We agreed on focused meditative statements. And it works!

I got beautiful red roses for Santa Muerte today and a Caramello bar. I picked up liquor for Santa, Rodolfo, and Biffy. Decided on tequila and brandy. Biffy said definitely brandy for him, he doesn't care for tequila but he will accept it. Rodolfo is like, "Uh, tequila, always, man." Santa Muerte always gets mezcal or tequila. I wanted to get wine, but it ended up being a hassle to go to the grocery store. All of this was bought via a wonderful tip/donation from my client. 💖 I really appreciate him.

Things are unfolding again!?! A feeling I just got. What is going to happen? I keep thinking of my father-in-law, Chuck. Oh dear. And my mother-in-law's (his wife, Tom's mom) birthday is on the 6th...I hope nothing happens! I'm concerned that Chuck may pass soon. His heart is very, very bad and he's 80. He's got stents, Afib, multiple heart attacks, God knows what else. He's on blood thinners, more than one. Fhhhuuuuccckkkk. Don't die Chuck! He needs Michael. I should ask Michael to watch over him. Or Tom should ask his angel, Cassiel. Chuck is Catholic, think he'd appreciate it much. Perhaps I should look into this by necromancy or my cards.

I wrote a whole diatribe here and deleted it! It got rather controversial and I did not want to lose followers because of my opinions. My reserved parents taught me that "Opinions are like assholes. Everyone has one." Hey - they were reserved but not delicate in speech! Cool boomers though. They never took any drugs, unless my dad snuck in some speed. Dunno for sure though my dad never really changed his behavior. Oh! I gave him some weed cookie late in his life - forgot! He turned so cheerful and talkative!! He said his pain was gone, too. So much for oxycodone.

Tom gave my mom a joint but she never smoked it. I would have loved to been able to have given her some chocolate. I'm positive it would have erased her chronic pain like it helps my cramps and nerve pain. But marijuana wasn't legal until after she died.

Its 11pm and i was going to sleep But this idea came to mind and idk why I feel the need to share so yeah

Barty is a famous singer (think the neighbourdhood But also frank ocean and ldr) and evan is a famous model and a actor (think suki waterhouse a little bit) and they meet one day at an after party of a runway show of evan (barty was there because regulus was also modelling and he is a good friend) and they feel in love that second on that night and they keep talking and flirting and seeing each other for a while

Barty and evan dated for 2 and a half years and they were THE couple and everyone loved them, barty would make or Talk things Related to evan on his concerts and even has a song for him and how they meet and Everything on one of his albums (think margaret by lana del rey mixed with envy the leaves by madison beer) and evan would make lives and lit talk about barty for like 3 hours straight and people would think its the cutest ever

Idk But I think they break up But not because evan got bored or didnt feel loved or they had problems or fights, no, he just break yo with barty cause yeah and move on cause he has the mindseat of "if I did this I dont know why would I Regret it, I Wouldnt have done it if so" so he did that and pack his things But left barty a scrapbool with All of their photos since they meet and a camera wich barty gifted to him For his birthday

Barty never got with evan did it even tho evaned to him why, he was heartbroken and cried for a whole month on regulus' guest room cause his shared room with evan on their apartment had too many memories, he wrote songs for evan after the break up But most of them he never realesed them, he didnt realized when he was begging evan not to Leave him he would Never get over evan

Their fans and everyone was heartbroken too even tho they didnt know the reason of the break up, evan after 5 months of the break up he meet Amos and really liked him so they went on dates and try to date and actually did make each other very happy, people were horrible to the, evan because of how he could be with someone else in such a little time (bitch get over it... You Are Annoying shut up) and to Amos just because everyone loved barty and evan together so the New partner always gets shit on the for no reason other than "your partner looked better with this person" and i think barty would had collab of had been friends with Amos and like had post higlights or put music out with him and when the relationship went public he deleted those for a few days then put ir back on like nothing happened (he was having a mental break down my bbg was NOT okay) and well of people ate that whole ass drama UPPP like I would have too

And i think Amos and evan would still be dating and people Are a lot more suportive of them and liked them a lot more than before and barty would go to a random podcast channel to promote his music and that But they asked a question of "after your break yo with evan you haven't been with anyone else even tho he didnt even need 5 months to do so, why is that?" and yeah ve got annoyed a little at that But he told the truth "im super happy for Amos and evan actually I think they make a great couple and they looks like the love each other and will take care of each other, I will never forget what I say to evan that night things ended, I said it that night, I will say it now and i will say it again “evan rosier I loved you for many years, I love you now and i dont think I will ever not love you... just so you know” and yes i loved evan then, now and i will always love him"

PHILZA - FIRJEN/LJORD

The only kingdom to fully get wiped off the face of the earth for good, leaving almost no trace of it ever existing in the first place (the king deleted his YouTube channel :,( )

In the north peak of Midisti, deep in the snow was once the freezing kingdom of Firjen. It was a kingdom with little allies that mostly kept to themselves. It was once ruled by King Joris who, after losing the war against Entropia & friends, lost everything. The Goddess Eclypsa took notice of the unnecessary blood spill and became enraged. Fueled with grief and anger, she decided to save King Joris by bringing him to Ljord. Here she gifted him the dragons of Bovisti.

The king, broken but determined, rebuilds his empire in the new snowy lands of Ljord. He recruited new people, found some of his old companions, and eventually got revenge on Entropia after capturing King David and feeding him to the dragons. But his glory didn't last forever. His men turned on him, kicked him off the throne, and threw him in jail, never to be heard from again.

Philza seems to me like a person who'd do well in Firjen/Ljord. Either as someone who stayed loyal to King Joris and went down with him or as one of the people who turned on him in the end. Perhaps he realized that the revolution and appointing a new king did not make things any better, and joined the refugees to Fenrin to fight for freedom from the outside. Also, he has a history with cold lands (the Artic Empire & his DSMP base with techno). Plus he is currently taking care of two dragon eggs, which is fitting to me.

MISSA - HELLIOS

Truly a great place to be. As the name says, Hellios is the kingdom’s version of Hell. If you're bad and you die, you get doomed to live in a black, lifeless realm for all eternity named Hellios. If good, you go to Elementos, a haven with everything a person can dream of.

Hellios is run by Celcrius (the God of the underworld) and his mage Arjan. They are known to dabble in dark magic, necromancy, and mind control and will use it without hesitation. This has been made very clear since the beginning. In episode 1 of their series, they resurrect an old king intending to take over the kingdom of Tyksa.

Q!Missa being a walking, living, breathing skeleton fits in well with how Celcrius goes about his business. I see Misa possibly being one of Celcrius' workers who was brought to life by the mage. He could've been an informant, sent to the surface to collect information. I like to think Celcrius told him to spy on people from a distance, but Misa misunderstood completely. Instead, he started trying to blend in with civilization so collect info that way. People might've been a bit freaked out at first, since he's a walking skeleton but eventually got used to it. "But he's so kind though!"

QUACKITY - BOR

Kingdom Bor is.. a strange one. I don't know much about them except that they live inside hills and mountains, are OBSESSED with carrots, and don't seem to take anything seriously.

They're most known for the song the king wrote about importing carrots. Further, the kingdom is known for the song the king wrote about jumping around. Also, the king blew up a part of his own kingdom because looking at it made him sad. He also started beef with Hellios for some reason. Idk even how.

In general, the whole kingdom is just a bunch of lads messing around and being stupid. The fact that they survived for two seasons and won multiple wars is incredibly shocking to me.

I think Q!Q would fit in well seeing the many many times he went missing, and then came back, and then went missing, and then came back, and then- you get the point. He's unhinged, a little bit crazy and I think he would be busting it down if he heard the songs about carrots and jumping.

WILBUR SOOT - MURA (kinda)

I wanted to assign Wilbur to a kingdom but then later changed my mind. I think it be cool if he was a nomad, traveling from kingdom to kingdom to play music and have a good time. But if I did have to assign him somewhere it would probably be Mura (the kingdom of former nomads, who sworn to never participate in wars).
