It is a favour to see and feel our insufficiency to help ourselves; and if, under a sense of our nothingness, we earnestly apply for Divine help and strength, we shall, through faithful perseverance, at last receive the happy invitation, 'Well done, good and faithful servant, enter thou into the joy of the Lord'.

đąđđđč & đčđ¶đŸđđœđ»đđ đźđđđđ¶đđ
haha, another fic I wanted to finish...I'm team Black, I swear...but Alicent is just too pretty I don't know what to say
Summary: Alicent struggles to deal with the feelings she harbors for you, her chambermaid and ally.
Warnings: SMUT (MINORS DNI), religious guilt, infidelity, slight dubcon, oral, fingering, some angst
word count | 3.2kđ€đ»
Alicent sighs heavily as you inform her of yet another servant that has been chased away by her son, Prince Aegon. She didnât know why she was surprised anymore, it happened so frequently. Even worse, she expected it to happen more often as he aged. She just couldnât catch a breakâŠ
It was hard enough being married to an old, rotting man at such a young age, but to raise all of her children alone? Alicent often wondered how they arenât turning out worse than they already are. She had no support from anyone, not her husband nor her own father, him banished from the Red Keep and Lord Strong only helping her for his own gain and power. She couldnât even rely on her childhood friend anymore, now her stepdaughter. It was almost laughable the hand Alicent was dealt. The Gods were cruel. But they did give her one good thing though; you.
You had been Alicentâs personal servant ever since her last child was born, helping raise them the best you could whenever Alicent had to rule in the kingâs name, meaning she was often busy. You clicked instantly, though you had a sort of talent for always getting on someoneâs good side. You could see the light in her eyes that was slowly dying out the older she got and the more time she had to spend in the Red Keep. You could tell she missed her home and her father, so you often comforted her whenever those feelings seem to cloud her thoughts. She warmed up to you pretty quickly, longing for a companion other than her favorite child. And when she needed information, youâd get that for her too. Unlike Lord Strong, you didnât ask for anything in return.
The first time you made her laugh was when you accidentally voiced your thoughts about fantasizing about kicking his cane out from underneath him. You thought sheâd scold you for thinking such a horrible thing, but the prettiest sound you ever heard escaped from her lips. Bashful giggles filled her chambers which caused your face to heat but filled you with a sense of pride. Even so, Alicent looked more ashamed of herself for finding what you said funny. But from then on, you were determined to make your queen laugh whenever appropriate.
She confided in you a lot, about everything, even things she never admitted to herself before you came along. You never judged her, ever. You may have been biased but in your eyes, your queen could do no wrong. For Alicent, ever since getting close to you, she started to feel things she thought she never would again. She hadnât felt this happy being around someone since Rhaenyra was her best friend all those years ago. But therein lied another problem; Alicent wasnât just friends with the Targaryen princess, she wanted to be more than that. Now that she was feeling that same way about you, her feelings of guilt came back even stronger than before.Â
Alicent always struggled with accepting herself. All her life, she was told how to behave and how she should be. Following the Faith of the Seven, being attracted to the same sex was strictly forbidden. It was just another reason to pick at her cuticles until they bled. She hadnât done it in a long time (mostly thanks to you), but every time she hadâŠsinful thoughts about you, she didnât even notice she was hurting herself again until you called her out on it.
You were concerned and had asked what had been causing her to hurt herself again, but Alicent very well couldnât tell you the truth, could she? So, she blamed it on Aegonâs behavior and that seemed to quell your curiosity, but you still kept a more watchful eye on her to keep herself from picking at her skin. You just didnât know that you were the cause and kind of made it worse, though it meant you spent even more time with her, so she couldnât really complain. But after this incident with the servant girl that Aegon harassed, you could tell Alicent needed time to herself, so you quietly dismissed yourself.
You felt horrible for thinking such things at a time like this, but you also felt you needed some special time to yourself. Unbeknownst to Alicent, you were having some of the same issues she had. Although, you were ashamed of yourself about it. Even though she was upset, Alicent looked absolutely stunning in her green dressing gown and the urge to relieve yourself was almost overbearing. Now, you werenât the most lecherous individual, but to say you werenât a prude wouldâve been an understatement.
You had some distant relatives from Dorne and went to visit them for a couple months, your parents saying something about you needing to experience the world before being tied down to Kingâs Landing. You werenât going to complain, in all your life you never thought youâd ever even travel past the Stormlands. You were somewhat sheltered, but just a few weeks in Dorne and you learned more than most highborn ladies ever did. You learned much about yourself with the help of the Dornish, especially learning about your sexuality which everyone was open about there. Even just a kiss in public between lovers always seemed to be looked down upon north of Dorne. You came back to Kingâs Landing changed, but for the better.
You found pleasure whenever you could and without shame, but you also knew you had a reputation to uphold, not just for yourself but for the family you worked for. Not many people get the opportunity to serve the royal family, so you knew acting out on your feelings for the Queen was the quickest way to getting your head impaled on a pike for all the Red Keep to see. You would be labeled a heathen, whore, and a dishonor to your family and those statements would follow you all the way to the Seven Hells. So, you always found your release in the privacy of your own chambers, not having to fear wandering eyes or ears. If you were ever to go to a brothel on the Streets of Silk, word would travel before you could even blink. But you couldnât think of that now. As you laid back in your bed with your hand in between your thighs, all you wanted to think of was your Queen Alicent.
You ran your delicate fingertips over your hardened nub hastily, grabbing at your breasts, desperation painting your features as you thought of Alicentâs soft lips. You imagined how theyâd feel pressed against your own, on your neck, chest, and even further south. Just the image threatened to oversensitize you, but you needed the thought to find release. âAlicentâŠâ You breathed a whimpery whisper, your peak building steadily, that burn in your belly spreading over you like waves. But just as you were about to finish, you heard a loud gasp. âMy Queen-!âÂ
The Queen Alicent stood wide eyed in shock, mouth agape, unable to stop herself from looking where your fingers were coated in your arousal, your cunt glistening in the sunlight seeping through the curtains into your chambers. âMy apologies.â Alicent spoke curtly, quickly turning and exiting your chambers without another word.
In quite a blunt manner, you expressed your embarrassment as soon as she was out of your sight: âFuck.â You prayed to the Seven that she hadnât heard you moan her name.
In truth, you had nothing to worry about. Queen Alicent was too flustered to even register that she was the object of your desire, blood thrummed loudly in her ears as her face reddened at the sight of you in the throws of near ecstasy. She didnât know how to react, and she certainly didnât know what to do about the ache in between her legs as she made it back to the sanctuary of her solar.
Alicent sat in her chair with a shaky exhale, closing her eyes to try and calm herself, only to see the image of your fingers inside yourself. She could still hear the faint sound of the moist suction from your fingers moving in and out, sending a shiver down her spine. She didnât realize she was picking at her cuticles until she felt a droplet of blood running down her hand. It wasnât enough that she had these sinful feelings and desires, the gods kept tempting her, but that went too far. How is she supposed to resist temptation when she has to be around someone so intoxicating as you? It wasnât fair. Why were the gods consistent in handing her the short straws in life? What had she done to deserve such divine punishment?
The ache in Alicentâs core hadnât faded, the image of you still burning through her mind. She gazed around, there was no one but her in her chambers and there was no one likely to barge in without knocking first. Perhaps this one time, she could try to quell that desire thatâs begun to feel so familiar every time sheâs around you. But she didnât know where to start.
Of course Alicent knew of her clit, but she never dared to touch it lest she gets sent straight to one of the Seven Hells. But that spot of throbbing so badly, it would hurt to leave it untouched. So cautiously, she lifted her skirts past her knees, experimentally running her fingers up her inner thighs. The closer she got to that aching spot, the more her breath quickened. And just as she was about to reach closer, she stopped abruptly. No, as soon as she gives in to herself it's more likely sheâs to give in to you. That couldnât happen. That will not happen, or so she believed.
The next couple weeks were awkward, to say the least. The Queen could rarely make eye contact with you, let alone sit with you in private as you used to do. You knew it wasnât really your fault, but you still felt guilty Alicent caught you like that. You knew she wasnât used to pleasure, her marriage to an old man being proof enough. You felt bad for her, but you didnât know how to help her if you even could. You tried easing into a discussion about it, but she never took the bait. You wouldâve given up entirely if it werenât for you catching her staring at you on multiple occasions. And besides, if she was offended or heard you moaning her name, youâd be a headless body right now. But the way you caught her looking at your fingers with an almost glazed over expression, you figured she wasnât offended and uncomfortable with you, but herself. The poor woman, she didn't understand it at all, did she?
You decided to confront her later in the evening, when her other maids rested for the night and the children were asleep. Your heart thumped in your chest rapidly, scared but excited for how this conversation might turn out. You watched as she sat in her plush chair in exhaustion, looking at the window in thought. She was beautiful.
âYour Grace?â Your soft whisper almost startled Alicent if it wasnât for the fact she was acutely aware of your presence at all times. âMay I speak with you?â
Alicent shut her eyes, already knowing what you mustâve wanted to talk about. She did not want to have this conversation at all, but there was no escaping it any longer. âYou mayâŠâ She spoke quietly, tensing up when you took steps closer to her, sitting on the footrest of her chair, entirely too close for comfort. It wouldnât have bothered her before, your closeness, but all she could think about was you pleasuring yourself.
âIf I can be quite blunt, your GraceâŠyouâve been distant these past couple weeks and itâs quite obvious why.â Alicentâs heart threatened to beat out of her chest. âI hadnât meant you to see me like that, my Queen. I thought I was aloneâŠâ
Alicent sighed, shaking her head. âIâm the one at fault. I never shouldâve barged into your chambers like that, especially without knocking. Youâve nothing to apologize for.â
âAnd Iâve also noticedâŠhow you canât keep your eyes off me since.âÂ
Alicent breathed in a sharp breath, her lips dipping into a frown. âIâm sure I donât know what you mean. I believe youâre forgetting your place.â
With a shaky exhale, you placed a trembling hand on the Queenâs clothed knee, feeling her tense immediately. âI think you do, your Grace. I may be disrespectful right now, but I canât help but see how everyone else treats you, including the King. I can see how he doesnât even care to make you feel loved. You deserve to be with someone who makes you feel like the only woman in the Seven Kingdoms.â
Alicent blushed brightly, whispering your name in disbelief.
âPlease, let me serve you, my lady. Properly. Thatâs what Iâm here for. I canât see you like this any longer.â And without another word from either you nor Alicent, you delicately lifted her skirts up past her knees, smelling her obvious arousal from where you sat. She wanted this, whether she admitted it or not.
Alicent looked down at you with a conflicted expression, the soft tips of your fingers gently spreading her legs apart and tracing them up her inner thighs. Her core throbbed achingly, the guilt of sinning threatening to overwhelm her, but the feeling of you finally coming into contact with her dripping cunt making those feelings retreat to the back of her mind. So wet, you thought, bringing her face closer and licking a stripe up her slick folds. Alicent gasped at the sensation, the feeling of your tongue running up and down her sensitive flesh, making her wonder why sheâd never had this done to her before.
Alicentâs moan as you circled the tip of your tongue around her clit was music to your ears, you would die a happy woman if you were able to hear her moans again and again. You needed to hear more. You used your middle finger to gently push inside her, feeling her tight walls clenching at the intrusion. She moaned your name as you thrusted your finger against her sweet spot as you lapped at her engorged clit. You could tell she was already so close, her moans raising an octave, her walls trying to push your finger out, and her hips bucking against your face. That fool of a King never made her feel this way, that much you were sure of. Could it be youâd be the first person to make her feel such pleasure?
You moaned as the Queen Alicent released on your finger and tongue, your mouth eager to taste and lap up all her sweet juices until she was licked clean. You were grinning as you pulled away, looking up at her like she was the one to put the moon and stars into the night sky. The Queen herself looked quite satisfied, a thin sheet of sweat coating her hairline, her natural curly auburn waves cascading down her body and framing her like a golden halo. Her eyes were glazed over, pupils dilated in the aftermath of her pleasure. âMay I kiss you, your Grace?â But those words seemed to snap her out of whatever haze she was in, her eyes blinking rapidly, the fondness in them disappearing altogether and replaced with shame and rage.
âLeave. Now.â Alicent snapped, hastily smoothing out her skirts and pushing you away to stand. The feeling of rejection overtook the feeling of pride when you saw her legs tremble as she walked to her chamber doors, opening one and giving you a look that almost scared you. You left without another word, wondering if you should write to your family one last time before you were surely beheaded for overstepping.
You awaited death, but it never came.
Queen Alicent couldnât stop thinking about you, no matter how much she tried to distance herself from you, you were her every waking thought. She hated feeling this way, wracked with such guilt. She couldnât even look at her husband anymore, for fear that somehow heâd be able to sense her debaucherous acts with a servant. Her thoughts never drifted far from how amazing you made her feel, the memory of your tongue on her never failing to make her shiver. She had never desired someone so much after Rhaenyra, she never wanted to, but you invaded her mind and made a home there.
More weeks passed, you and Alicent together but never more apart. She only talked to you when she needed to, which she tried talking to other servants in your stead. It was infuriating, and it hurt. You almost regretted making your desires known, but it was done. You couldnât change what you did. The Queen would have to decide for herself whether she wanted to continue what relationship you had on her own.
But for Alicent, it couldnât have been further from simple. She wanted you, truly, but sheâd be putting you and herself in danger if she pursued more. There were spies everywhere, and she couldnât have any harm come to you. But every day, seeing you, it got harder to hold herself back. She needed you, and she knew you needed her just as much. At the end of the day, it wasnât a difficult decision. She couldnât keep herself away from you. You were shocked when she came barging into your chambers one day, without knocking once again. But she was the Queen, she didnât have to knock.
âYour Grace.â You stood up from your bed with a startle, your heartbeat picking up at the sight of Alicentâs beautiful frame. âI wasnât expecting you.â
Alicent sighed breathily. âI didnât know Iâd be coming here.â
You raised a brow. âWhy are you here, your Grace?â
Without another word, the Queen rushed to you, taking you in her arms and colliding her lips with yours in a passionate embrace. You moaned in surprise, her soft lips felt like pillowy clouds as she moved against you, bringing your body close to hers desperately. You never thought a pair of lips could feel so heavenly. âYour Grace-â
âAlicent. Call me Alicent.â She interrupted, keeping her lips close to yours, never taking her eyes off you.
âAlicentâŠâ You whispered, âare you sure you want this? Want me?â
âIâve never been more sure about anything in my life.â She spoke clearly, her big, brown, doe eyes boring into yours, making you feel like she could see into your soul. You believed her, and that was enough for you. Damn the consequences.
You surged forward, capturing her lips once again. âIâve wanted this for an age.â You confessed against her lips, not having the will to pull away, even to tell her what youâve wanted to say for what felt like a lifetime. âIâve always wanted you, Alicent.â
âAnd I youâŠit took me a bit of time to figure that out. I apologize. I did not wish to be rude to you, but I was scared. I still am.â
You cupped her jaw, encouraging her to look into your eyes. âIâm scared too. But whatever happens will be worth being with you, my beautiful Queen.â

SSR Malleus Draconia - Tsumsitter Vignette
"A Moment with Malleustsum I"
[Main Street]
Malleus: Hmph⊠I have a suggestion. It came to me while I was on a stroll.
Malleus: If you are unable to join the other tsums, then I shall extend an invite to you instead.
Malleus: Tsum, come to the party that I will be hosting.
Malleus: It will be a grand party, and all Diasomnian students will be in attendance. You will attend, won't you?
[happy tsum noises]
[Diasomnia Dorm â Lounge]
Malleus: Now, Tsum. We've returned to Diasomnia.
Malleus: We must prepare for the party posthaste. Sebek, could I request you to prepare the venue?
Sebek: Please leave it to me! As your faithful servant, I will put my all into decorating our lounge!
Sebek: Your Tsumness, I will not be long!
Lilia: Lucky little tsum, hm?
Malleus: I shall also prepare for the party. I must fulfill my duties as the host.
Malleus: Tsum, this is a party in your honor. You should allow yourself to relax until it starts.
[Malleus leaves, the tsum looks content]
Lilia: Okay then, maybe I'll show off a bit of my cooking prowess for the tsum.
Silver: IF THERE ARE TASKS TO BE DONE IN THE KITCHEN, I WILL DO THEM!
Lilia: Oh hey, it's Silver and Silver-tsum. I see you're finally back from the forest.
Silver: Did you see me out there? If only I could have been awakenedâŠ
Lilia: Don't try to give this old man too hard of a taskâŠ
Silver: I heard we are to be throwing a party for Malleus-sama's tsum⊠But where have they gone?
Lilia: Malleus went off to prepare for the party. And the tsum should beâŠ
[the tsum is nowhere to be found[
Lilia: âŠIt's not here.
Silver:
[Diasomnia Dorm â Hallway]
Malleus: Now, then. Next, I'll bring the plates.
Diasomnia Student A: A-Ah, sir! Please let us do this for you! This isn't anything worth you to worry yourself over, Malleus-sama!
Malleus: I do not mind whatsoever. The magic necessary to carry plates and candlesticks is mere child's play to someone of my caliber.
[loud crashing sound]
Malleus: What was that noise just now?
Diasomnia Student A: Was it an explosion of some sort
Diasomnia Student B: ACK! THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION IN THE MICROWAVE!! WE NEED SOME EXTINGUISHING MAGIC, STAT!
[magic extinguishes the fire]
Malleus: Whatever is the matter?
Diasomnia Student C: Th-that isâŠ
[tsum hops in distress]
Malleus: Tsum? This couldn't possibly be your doing, is it?
"A Moment with Malleustsum II"
[Diasomnia Dorm â Hallway]
Diasomnia Student C: My sincerest apologies! I tried to stop it, since the microwave is old and a danger to useâŠ
Diasomnia Student B: But we failed⊠We were not capable of stopping your great tsum.
Malleus: I see. So as a result of the tsum activating it, there was an explosionâŠ
Malleus: Although, why are you in the kitchen in the first place? I believe I told you to rest yourself, Tsum.
[tsum looks sad]
Malleus: Why the long face Ah, I think I understand now.
Malleus: Tsum, were you hoping to assist with the party preparations?
[tsum nods solemnly]
Diasomnia Student B: Oh, I seeâŠ! It must have tried to help after hearing us talk about needing to heat up some food.
Malleus: However, can you truly not use appliances to this degree, Tsum? Even I do not have as difficult a time as this.
Malleus: Heh, I made sure to read through the appliance instruction manual and therefore was able to obtain a good understanding of the features and buttons.
Malleus: After that, I only needed to be conscious of the amount of strength needed, and now I am able to use it without issue.
Diasomnia Student C: You had to⊠control your strength?
Malleus: Does that pique your interest? Just as well, I will show you what I mean just now.
[Malleus magicks the machine fixed]
Diasomnia Student B: Amazing, Malleus-sama! Only you would be so capable of fixing an exploded microwave with magic to like-new quality in an instant!
Malleus: First, it's imperative to know that a microwave oven is not the optimum device for heating eggs or dehydrated foods.
Malleus: Essentially, there is a risk of explosion or fire. Review the manual, you will see as such.
Malleus: Now, when it comes to its usageâŠ
Malleus: Finally, close the door⊠And press the "Start" button.
[the microwave runs, beeps when finished]
Malleus: And see now how it has finished warming the dish. Do you understand?
[a dish is taken out of the microwave]
Malleus: The dish has been successfully warmed up. I'm sure you will cause no more explosions in the microwave oven anymore.
Malleus: âŠ
Malleus: Right, you as a tsum cannot use magic. Then it would behoove you to learn basic appliance functionalities.
Malleus: This is a good opportunity for you. I shall explain how to use other home appliances as well. Follow me, Tsum.
Malleus: This is a washing machine. Open the lid and insert the clothes you wish to wash. Watch your strength when opening the lid or the water valve.
Malleus: Press the start button, and a little time after the basin starts spinning, there will be an indication as to how much water will be used.
[thump, thump...]
[the tsum watches, but falls off the machine]
Malleus: Add detergent and fabric softener relative to the amount of water, and close the lid. Now it should start to spin even more.
[thump, thump, thump...]
Malleus: Good, it is working without issues. Have you grasped how to use it, Tsum? âŠWhere did it go? It should have been sitting right here on top of the washing machineâŠ
Malleus: It wouldn't have fallen inside⊠Would it?
Malleus: What is the proper procedure to open the lid mid-washâŠ? I have no time to be reviewing the manual. I must open the lid immediatelyâŠ
[crack, snap!]
Malleus: Tsum? It doesn't seem as though it's inside. If it hasn't fallen inside the machine, thenâŠ
[tsum shakes from behind the machine]
Malleus: Ah, I see, you fell between the machine and the wall. I'll fetch you from there now.
[Lilia appears with magic]
Lilia: If you press the pause button once, the lock on the lid will release. Don't break the lid by force next time, Malleus.
Malleus: Ah, yes, I do believe the description said something of that sort. It would do me well to read the instruction manual once more.
Lilia: Kufufu, I guess the lid to the washing machine is just as brittle as a cookie to someone like you.
[Lilia magicks the washing machine fixed]
Lilia: Okay, now that the washing machine is all fixed up⊠Malleus, Tsum, time to head towards the lounge.
Malleus: Oh, are the preparations for the party complete? Our students do work diligently.
Lilia: Kufufu, it's all because you asked for it. Come on, don't dawdle. Everyone's waiting for you.
Malleus: Heh, I see. We should hurry and join them, Tsum.
"A Moment with Malleustsum III"
[Diasomnia Dorm â Hallway]
Malleus: The party venue is just beyond these doors.
Malleus: Before we enter⊠Tsum, I'd like to bestow this upon you.
Malleus: This is a pin signifying your status as the guest of honor. You must have this on you to join the revelries.
Lilia: Kufufu, what a refined gesture.
Malleus: Hmph. This should be the norm when inviting a guest. Come now, the venue awaits.
[Diasomnia Dorm â Lounge]
[the students of Diasomnia populate the party]
Sebek: Ah! Your Tsumness! This way, please!
Malleus: Sebek, and Silver, thank you for your hard work. The decorations and dishes look sublime.
Sebek: Thank you very much! I prepared all of the wall decorations!
Silver: I assisted the students who had been charged with preparing the food.
Malleus: Right. And the spread looks divine. You should all eat as much as you wish.
Malleus: Now, let the party commence. Everyone, allow me to once again introduce to you, this party's guest of honor⊠This Tsum!
Diasomnia Student A: Tsum-sama, we've come to give our greetings. Aah, you have such a dignified look about youâŠ!
Diasomnia Student B: Ah, oh, Tsum-samaâŠ!! Could I be so bold to request your hand for this dance!?
Diasomnia Student C: Hey, I was trying to find a chance to ask that too! Tsum-sama, please dance with me as wellâŠ!
[tsum is pleased]
Lilia: Ohooïœ You're pretty popular, Tsum!
Sebek: There's no way I'd allow them to steal it away! YOUR TSUMNESS! PLEASE DANCE WITH ME!
Silver: Weren't you just bragging to me earlier nonstop that you had been blessed with a dance with it already, Sebek?
[tsum runs to Malleus]
Malleus: Oh, you wish to dance with me, Tsum?
[tsum nods]
Malleus: I see, so this would be a collaboration between the guest of honor and the host. In that case, it would be rude of me to decline.
Sebek: Ohh⊠My liege will dance with his lookalike tsum! This is a spectacular sightâŠ!
Silver: A dance for the two of them, hm⊠We need to prepare the perfect song.
Lilia: Sounds like a job for me! I'll get everyone whipped up into the heat of things!
Lilia: Silver, Sebek! I need you to set up an impromptu band! Can you play the guitar and drums?
Silver: N-No⊠I can only make random sounds.
Sebek: Similarly, I can only strike a drum without any proper rhythm.
Lilia: That's good enough! LET'S GOOOïœ!!
Malleus: Take my hand, Tsum. I shall lead our dance.
[sounds of revelry in the Diasomnian dorm, as Malleus and the tsum dance]
Malleus: I found you, Tsum. I see you found your way to the far edge of the lounge after dancing with the dorm students one after the other.
Malleus: I'm sure I have no need to ask this of you based on how satisfied you lookâŠ
Malleus: But would you say you've crafted good memories at today's party?
[the tsum happily hops]

How to Write Disability: SPOP vs ATLA
(TW: ableism)
(before i start talking about this, i have to tell you that i am not physically disabled so my observations may not be a 100% correct. i'm only writing this post in relation to my experience with autism. if you feel like something i've said is inaccurate or insensitive, please feel free to let me know!)
so the two characters i wanted to talk about, in reference to writing disabled/neurodivergent characters, is Entrapta from SPOP and Toph from ATLA.
Entrapta is an autistic woman who grew up in solitude, only surrounded by robots. as a result, she is desperate for human etherian connection while at the same time, struggling with social interactions because of her autism.
she was pretty heavily autistic-coded, even before the writers confirmed that she was canonically autistic; she has a hyperfixation on tech and machinery, she is shown to stim a lot, she has a preference for tiny food (likely a sensory issue) and she is not good at reading social cues or communicating in a way that neurotypical people would understand. she is also an extremely intelligent and intuitive person who is not only good at handling tech but also shows love and affection towards people in her own way.
Toph is a character from ATLA, who was born blind. not completely unlike Entrapta, Toph was also raised in solitude, although she had her parents and servants to look after her.
her parents were convinced that Toph was incapable of being independent, because of her blindness, and were unwilling to look past her disability and treat her as a person. as a result, Toph is extremely rebellious and stubborn. she is an incredibly capable individual who learned how to navigate her way through earthbending. however, she still faces difficulties due to her disability and has to rely on her friends every once in a while.
the trope that these two shows share in relation to their disabled characters is the humor. there are jokes made about Entrapta's and Toph's disability in both shows. however, the key element that differentiates these jokes is the target.
Toph was never the butt of a joke in ATLA. in fact, she was the one making jokes about her disability 90% of the time. Toph was comfortable enough with her blindness that she didn't mind joking about it or even pranking the others sometimes.
in fact, one of the running gags in the series is that the other characters forget that Toph is blind because of how insanely capable she is.
Toph is never the butt of the joke, she's the one making fun of the others for forgetting about her disability. and it's all done in good faith.
and whenever someone is being ableist towards Toph, it's taken seriously. it's not played off as a joke and the narrative doesn't act like people mistreating Toph is this funny gag that everyone should laugh at.
now let's come to Entrapta. there are âjokesâ in the show made about her disability as well, except these jokes are often made at her expense.
one of the most problematic parts of the show concerning Entrapta is the way Perfuma leashes her TWICE, because she was worried that Entrapta would get distracted and leave the group. so instead of holding Entrapta's hand or something like a normal person would, Perfuma decides that the best way to tackle this situation is to treat Entrapta like an animal and put her on a leash.
this is shown as a joke and is never addressed seriously. the show writers think that Entrapta being dehumanized and infantilized is supposed to be funny and quirky. Entrapta never gets to confront Perfuma about this or gets any kind of closure.
this was the main example of ableism in the show but there are also other minor scenes where we see characters treat her in a way that other characters aren't treated.
examples being Catra using Entrapta's trauma and loneliness to manipulate her, and Mermista literally yanking on Entrapta's hair and yelling at her, because she couldn't understand social cues.
there are also multiple examples of what i'd like to call the âtranslate nerd languageâ trope, where one of the other characters get irritated at Entrapta for using technical terms while speaking, and she has to dumb it down for them.
there's a way to write disabled characters and while Entrapta was a very relatable and sympathetic character, the ableism towards her is never addressed. the princesses are never called out on their actions, while Catra gets off scot-free after a vague apology.
when ableism was portrayed in ATLA, it was always taken seriously. Toph was allowed to leave her toxic parents and find people who accepted her for who she is, she was allowed to prove people wrong and be a powerful character in her own right. meanwhile, Entrapta was forced to be friends with the people who mistreated her and she was only kept around because she was useful.
#yes this is a repost because tumblr decided to act weird lol#ableism tw#tw ableism#spop critical#spop salt#spop criticism#spop discourse#spop#she ra#anti spop#neurodivergent#autism#disability#entrapta#toph#atla#also toph was allowed to be vulnerable as well she wasnt strong 100% of the time#she was allowed to talk about her concerns and miss her parents even after the way they treated her#meanwhile entrapta's trauma is never addressed

deserving child | dad!jake x daughter!reader
Sypnosis; Whatever had your father done before you were born had nothing to do with you today, but Quaritch didn't care. Children or not, you were Jake's.
Contents; angst little comfort, typical avatar violence, drabble? extreme depictions of gore?? Jake's pov, no use of y/n,
Dictionary; sempul - dad/daddy, sa'nok - mother, tsurak - skimwing, kuru - queue, uturu - sanctuary
A/N; I hate this but anyway
Jake Sully. Failed life on Earth, dead brother. Paralyzed from the waist down, out of service. Sent to replace his brother on a military mission, Pandora. Falling for the forrest, the culture, the people... Neytiri. Even though he had taken everything from her, her sister, her father, her ikran, her people... Neytiri had faith. She fought with him. His beautiful mate... His children. His firstborn son, Neteyam, and his twin, you. Oh, how life had betrayed him. Or had he betrayed life? After all, he betrayed an entire race. Was it unfair? Had he done the good thing, or was he selfish?
Jake still remembers a quote from the Bible he had read years before his 20th birthday. Before his brother was killed on the field.
"For am I seeking the approval of man or of God? And if I am seeking the approval of man, will I still be a servant of grace?"
As Jake sat still onto the back of his tamed tsurak within the seas of the reefs, hundreds of vengeful Na'vi in the same position behind him, he thought back to fifteen years ago. He could've left with Quaritch. Be could've surrendered. Saved thousands of innocent lives and give his own. But he didn't. He chose to stay and fight, but for what?
He could clearly see your distressed faces kneeling and facing him on the Demon Ship. Quaritch and his men held you and your siblings tighly in place and the gun pressed to your temple that digged into your skin harshly.
Jake chose to stay and fight. It brought him here. His children about to get executed right in front of his helpless eyes, unable to do anything but to weep to himself like a coward.
The sound of Neytiri's distressed pleas in his ears made them ring, but he couldn't hear a single word.
Jake could see in his head the faded image of your brains splattered onto the pavement of the ship and for a brief moment he pondered if this was all a dream. It wasn't, however, you were still alive. The choice was his, he knew it well. Would Neytiri even forgive him? Would you? Would Tuk be able to pass her own Iknimaya without her father?
â
The freezing cold metal pressed firmly against the side of your head burned like dry ice. You had seen your father use similar machinery on the field, but you had never seen it be pointed at someone else. Even less had you thought you'd be the one in this kind of situation. Quaritch had your kuru thigh in his unoccupied hand, pulling whenever your kneeling stance faltered. You could see the outline of Jake, Ronal and Tonowari from your place on the ship and the way your father's eyes drifted from you and your siblings to his weapon. Was he really considering letting himself get captured for you?
Whatever Jake was thinking was passing fast. He had no plan and you knew it. The simple look of despair on Tonowari's face told you everything. You knew not to scream out because the Avatar had warned you when your brother tried.
"One noise and I'll shoot ya', kid."
Kid. You were just a kid. Your brother and sister were just kids. And Jake stared at you like it would be the last time he'd ever do. It was ironic, really. You came to Awa'atlu seeking uturu and had to end up murdering the entirety of its residents.
Jake felt the cold breeze against his damp skin, the breathlessness of Ronal on his right. His children are about to die. You, their big sister, dying to protect them. His babygirl. The one that lit up his life when he felt he was no Olo'eyktan, no Toruk Makto.
Right. Toruk Makto. Jake is Toruk Makto. The sixth rider of Last Shadow, the one who brought the clans victory against the Sky People. He killed Quaritch once. Can he really do it twice?
It's strange to think about it now, but in this situation he wishes he was more of a father and less of a marine. Lo'ak would never forgive him. The way he treated his children like soldiers... The pain he brought upon Neytiri and the people.
Quaritch's voice brings him back.
"Clock's ticking, colonel. What's it gonna be?"
The hand that rested on his gun lowered and Jake instructed his tsurak to swim forward slowly. He doesn't want to die, but he was ready to give his life up for you.
Quaritch did too.
Payakan thought otherwise. The large beast had felt Lo'ak's anger throughout their bond. Payakan had forgotten all about friendship, but Lo'ak had brought him a sense of serenity he had just about never felt before. Seeing red as he threw itself onto the ship, Jake saw the opportunity.
should I do a part two? seems opportunistic tbh

Aemond was quickly reined in, his mother had send for him in the middle of his celebratory dinner and he had to answer the call, so he left you alone with his first wife, Floris, who looked at you like she wanted to murder you
âThey will never accept youâ, she said, ânot the small council, not the law, not the faithâ
âI knowâ, you whined, she looked at you like she didnât believe you
âThen why did you marry him?â, she asked back, like a spoiled childÂ
âYou think I wanted this?â, you cried to Floris, finally snapping
âI know you didâ, she said back, âit is all you always wantedâ, she kept going, you only laughed bitterly
âHe killed my family!â, you accused, âIâm the only one left!â, you cried, âI had bend the knee to Aegon, hoping they would leave me alone!, when one day he came to the islandâŠâ, you started telling her, that seemed to caught her attention, âhe humiliated me in front of my courtâ, you continued, âhe made me kneel, he stripped me from my titles, from the safety of my own home, he made me his personal servant!â, she looked at you wide eyed, âand then, when he finally broke me he⊠took me against my willâ, she didnât say anything, she just looked back at you with her big eyesÂ
âHe only promised to marry me, and I thought that was going to make it all worth it, to make my motherâs dreams come true to some extend anyways, her blood on the throneâŠâ, you whispered sadly, taking a big gulp of the wine in the table, âbut surprise, he wasnât done humiliating meâ, you whined, âhe married you, almost making me watch, and made me his mistress, and oh, but well, perhaps I deserved it because I wanted all of thisâ, you said, and stood up from the table, âleave me aloneâ, you threatened, âbecause believe me, THAT is all I wantâ, and stormed out of the Kingâs private dining room.
Aemond was getting an earful
âI WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS!â, screamed Borros
âValyrian rituals are not sanctioned by lawâ, declared Lord Tyland Lannister
âNor the faith!â, said the grand Maester
âAemond what did you do?â, Alicent whined, âyou put all of this in jeopardy, the smallfolkâŠâ
âI donât careâ, he said simply.
âAemondâ
âI will burn anyone who fights thisâ, he said plainly
âAemond, this marriage is not lawfulâ, whined Alicent
âYou all considered Rhaenyraâs marriage binding and lawfulâ, he mocked, Alicent just shook her head with her mouth twisted
âShe was⊠a widow, so was he, she wasnât married and neither was daemonâ, she explained, Aemond just tilted his head upwards, looking down at his mother
âWe bonded our bloods, we are oneâ, he sentenced, and Borros was shaking with rage, but didnât say anything, and Aemond left the room
He didnât find you, you were not in the dinning hall and Floris had finished her supper and went to be, he ended up eating alone, some cold food. He thinks nothing of it.
. . .
Days turned to weeks and weeks turned to a couple of months, Aemond visited your chambers regularly, and caressed your barely showing belly, whispering things to you era in HIgh Valyrian, he seemed so happy and contented, that he barely noticed you.
He didnât noticed he did all the talking
He didnât noticed you barely looked him in the eyes
He didnât notice that the only palace he could find you was in your rooms
That you didn't leave them
When you did, he was in council meetings, or ruling.
You tried to read in the library, or in the gardens
But everywhere you went, people would look at you mockingly, you could feel their eyes, of the court, on you, and they would even go as far as whispering loud enough so you could hear
âHe is the Kingâs whoreâ
âShe is with his bastard in her bellyâ
And worse, things that brought tears to your eyes.
Aemond only noticed your deplorable mental state once you started not to reciprocate his advances late at night in your bed. Willing or not you were always receptive to his touch, you would cum on his cock or by his mouth, you would moan softly and hug him while he was inside you.
But your whimpers and moans of pleasure started to quiet down, and the only thing you could muster while he intended on bedding you, you only looked at some place along the walls.
Now he noticed, a couple of months later, that you would barely speak to him back, that he wouldnât leave your chambers, that you barely eat, that you looked paler than normal, the dark bags under your eyes, and your eyes⊠fuck
They always reflected sadness, anger, even hate, but now? nothing, it seemed that they were the eyes of someone who was no longer there.
So he decided to make a journeyâŠ
Aemond had insisted you three had dinner together at least the third day of each week, so you went to the Kingâs private dining hall, and you only found Floris there, the one who actually had accepted your request and left you alone.Â
âWhere is Aemond?â, you gather the strength to ask, after awkwardly mute minutes, she chuckled as she dig into the pork chops in her plate
âHarrenhalâ, she answered with a small smile. The strange part was that her smile wasnât even cynical, she seemed like she had just surrendered to her precarious position. The news, though, surprised you dearly, making you feel a dark sentiment in your chest
âHarrenhal?â, you asked, she only nodded, that weird smile didnât left her lips, âYou know?â, you asked her
âOf course I know about the self proclaimed Witch Queen of Harrenhalâ, she said back, you only sighed loudly
âFuckâ, you cursed, and then a silence followed, you looked at eachother, and laughed whole heartedlyÂ
âYouâd think that a wife and a mistress would be enoughâ, she said, and you thanked her for saying mistress and not whore or worse. You sat in front of her and started eating too, and took a long sip of the wine that was served, you needed the wine, and wanted the food
âYou would thinkâ, you continued, and she smirkedÂ
âWhat a cuntâ, she said after a long sigh, and you almost choked when you laughedÂ
âI laugh so I wonât cryâ, she admitted, with a smirk of your own
âWell, I laugh because I have no tears leftâ, you continued.Â
âIs it true that you are with child?â, she asked, and you looked at her, and nodded, she only nodded, âthat makes it even more difficultâ
âI begged him to let me leave for Dragonstone, but he wonât hear of itâ, she looked sad, perhaps she had hopes to be pregnant herself, but this far it hadn't happened
This chat seemed innocent, you two were bonding over your abuser and âkingâ
you thought nothing of it, you didnât even payed attention to your Kingsguard posted near the entrance of the room.Â
This didnât mean you were friends, in fact, you ate what you could and then left her alone, like she wanted to.
And that little exchange did not change a thing, if anything, it made it worse.
The very next day, you attempted to take a walk, fresh air in the gardens, but the mean looks and comments were not missed.
A men from a lesser house you did not remember at the time saw you and spit in the ground right by your feet.Â
âThe whore queenâ, murmured one, that is all you could make out, and that was enough to make you whimper, the dam finally broke
You did not deserve this, you didn't.
Your Kingâs guard, Steffon, drew his sword and everything
âWhat did you say?â, he asked, and you never saw him so angry,
âSteffonâ, you called, placing your hand in his bend arm, but he wouldnât listen
âI dare you to repeat thatâ, the âmanâ turned pale as he looked at you like expecting you would help him, but you did not such thing, only looked back at him blankly, your eyes shiny with tears
âIâm sorryâ, he said simply, and he and his scared group left the gardens almost running
âThe next one that offends you I will beheadâŠâ
âYou will do no such thingâ, you whispered, secretly glad that he defended you, but bitter by the fact that it was necessary in the first place. You let out a whimper you couldnât repress, and in the eyes of many people of the court, you walked away, crying.
You hugged your belly, you were showing just a little, but the entire castle knew that you, his mistress, his whore, was pregnant, and The Queen wasnât, so of course they claimed you for that as well.
âYou canât listen to themâ, Steffon said, but you felt incredibly defeated, tired, sad.
You thought that with this baby. at least you wouldnât be so alone, you would have an extension of you, a new family, your own family, you were so happy.
But you were never going to be able to be happy, not in this castle, not with these people, not with Aemond.Â
Everybody hates you
and you were supposed to be a Queen, but the septons had declared your marriage null and void.
Aemond had destroyed you, he made you bend to his will, he danced on your familyâs graves and then he made you his whore.Â
You were supposed to be a member of one of the most incredible dynasties this world had ever seen, but you only felt like a slave of the skin trade. No one respected you, you had no family, no friends. So you locked yourself in your room and would not come out.Â
While Aemond was away.
He went to Harrenhal, he was concerned about his new marriage, and wanted to consult with Alys, the only witch he knew, he also wanted to ask her for help to retrieve his niece.
So Aemond was on a very important mission, Alys actually helped him to get Jahaera from Stormâs End, but refused to tell him anything about you and your own wellbeing. You didnât know this, nobody knew this, not even his mother.
But with the help of Vhagar, a bag of coins and threats, he managed to recover his niece, after Borros threatened him one last time the day after he married you.
Now Borros had nothing over him, now Borros could die and nobody would bat an eye, nobody will threaten him anymore.
So he spends a couple of weeks negotiating with a second cousin of the man, to have his support for when things went down with the current head of the house of the stag. And Aemond was shaking with anticipation of what was going to happen the next time Borros even said something to him.
He was looking at the hearth of Harrenhal, his niece slept in the continuing room, when Alys entered the chamber.
âYou did good my kingâ, she whispered sweetly, he barely looked at her over his shoulder
âThis certainly lifted a weight off my shouldersâ, he muttered barely, âI will not bed you again Alys, and I havenât eaten anythingâ, she only nodded
âI am content here in Harrenhal my princeâ, she said plainly, âI will not push these boundaries, you were never meant to be mine, not completelyâ, she said then. He barely nodded, âbut what I said to you, about her, it something i saw, I did not cast it as suchâ, his eye turned sad, as he looked back into the fire
âI will never have her heart, only her mind and bodyâ, he repeated, those words she said to him were ingrained in his mind.
âYes, it is true, one day, years ago, it might have been different, but since the day you plucked her brother from the skies, that was your fate combinedâ, she continued. Aemond only nodded, deep down he knew you were never going to fall for him, so he just took you, he knew you could never truly love him, so he settled on the second best he wanted.
Only your body
But Aemond wanted to fight it, he wanted to fight was was written for him, and for you, you were expecting his child, he was going to get rid of Borros, he needed to see you and be with you, things were truly going to be different, he couldnât relent now, he make you a Queen, you had power, you had to be alrightâŠ
But what he found when he came back.
He hid Jahaera with the Hightowers, he could not reveal he had recuperated her, so he came back alone to the Red Keep.
According to the maids, you locked yourself in your rooms and wouldnât come out, you haven't seen anything outside of your chambers in the last two weeks, so the first thing he did was going to see you.Â
He found you hugging yourself, plunged in a long chair by the window
âMy loveâ, he called, calling for you, he kneeled by your side, âwhy havenât you left your chambers? you have been here for daysâ, he said, he sounded truly worried
âI do not wish to leaveâ, you answered simply, hugging your belly even tighterÂ
âwhy?â, he insisted
âI have no friends hereâ, you whined, tears coming to your eyes, âeveryone hates me, the ladies of court are mean to me, they insult me, men mock meâ
âGive me their namesâ, he demanded, angry, âI will have their tongues, and their eyesâ
âWill you blind and mute the entire court?â, you asked bitterly, you didn't even looked at him, but you felt his eye on you
âPlease tell me how I can make it betterâ, he whispered
âLet me goâ, you answered simply, and he got quiet, you turned to him with your tired eyes filled with tears, âlet me go back to Dragonstoneâ, he got bitter all of a sudden
âNoâ, he said, denying you, âyou are my wife, you have my child in your belly, your place is by my sideâ, he said bitterly
âIâm not your wifeâ, you answered back, âthe septons do not see our marriage as binding and lawfulâ, you said, looking back at the window
âWe bonded our bloodâ, he sentenced, âwe are bonded foreverâ
âYou were already marriedâ, you whispered, you felt your baby kick under your hand and you smiled shortly, âIâm just your pregnant whoreâ
âDonât say thatâ, he said angrily
âI am only a whoreâ, you said again, âyou had said so yourselfâ, you whispered, âI am only a whore just like my treacherous motherâ
âDonâtâŠâ, he said, his voice broken
âThe lords and ladies of the court hate me, and they will hate my child, they will call him bastard and treat him worse than they did my brothersâ
âNo⊠I wonât allow thatâ
âKing Viserys couldnât help it then, and you wonât be able to help it nowâ, you rebuffed, and he got quiet
âI will found out what did or say something to you and I will punish themâ, he said darkly, you didnât look back at him, but Aemond thought you looked so beautiful, your belly had popped the last two weeks, you were barely showing then, and now it was impossible for you to hide your pregnancy, you, despite everything, where glowing. And it broke his cold heart to see you like this.Â
âI canât do this anymore Aemondâ, you whispered with a broken voice and tears in your eyes, his eye widened in shock
âWhat does that mean?â, he asked quietly
âPleaseâ, you only begged, âI canât live like this, I donât want my child to lie like thisâ, he took your hand in his
âIt will get better, I promise, things are going to change for the betterâ, he said, and you only nodded, because he sounded sincereÂ
And as he abandoned your chambers to go and talk to you Kingâs Guard, he truly think about what could make you feel better
Anything, anyone, he needed to make you feel better, he needed to help you heal, and suddenly, he got the perfect idea how that could be. It was time to bring back to court, the man he had sent on a mission.
