Rescue Bots weapon headcanons
First off I headcanon the main four rescue bots to be just barely as old as the war
Blurr, Salvage, and Quickshadow are all older than the war
so keep that in mind with these
Heatwave has hand blasters (imagine the tfp ones) that he never used after becoming a rescue bot in an attempt to distance himself from the war
Blades has claws and hand saws (think Knockouts weapons) which he uses entirely for medical purposes
Boulder never got any built in weapons so he sticks to the seismic powers.
Chase only has a taser, he’s had hundreds of chances to at LEAST get a basic pistol to hold. He doesn’t take the offers ever.
Quickshadow has tons of built in weaponry that she received while actively dodging the rescue bot massacre left and right, her most notable weapons are: her laser gun that’s hidden in both bot and alt mode; a gun extension that can only be used in her alt mode; and a basic pistol
Blurr nabbed a pistol while with the Bee Team, but never really uses it
Salvage has fucking everything, he just never makes it. He has the materials and the capabilities, he just doesn’t. He’s recognized he has the ability to, he just doesn’t

Fëanárions and Their Preferred Kit
I designed their heraldry here.
Fëanáro
Gambeson (on the longer side), mail hauberk, open face helmet (with red plume, of course)
One handed arming sword, single edged
Center grip round shield with his heraldry on it
Maitimo
Gambeson, mail hauberk, glove, full plate (he's "vulnerable" at close range) with a closed face helm; ring of copper like a crown on the helm
A sling
Long rapier (he's very tol) with an elegant but sturdy crossguard and a fuller
Kite shield (attaches to right forearm, and it can be removed by himself in case of emergency) with his heraldry on it
Macalaurë
Gambeson, mail, gloves, and open faced helmet
Flanged mace
Heater shield with his heraldry on it
White cape for the drama
Single edged blade, bastard sword length, curved slightly (helps with edge alignment), thin crossguard
Tyelcormo
Gambeson, mail, gloves, and green brigandine; sometimes he can be wrangled into wearing an open face helmet (he's very vain about his hair)
150lbs war bow, made of yew and his own hair (ew)
A beautiful bec de corbin! :D
A hand and a half sword, double edged, with a crossguard that curves toward the tip slightly
Carnistir
Gambeson, mail, breastplate, pauldrons, gorget, gloves, and close faced helmet
Indigo cape
Intricate two-handed falchion with a gold plated hilt
Haleth's spear
Curufinwë
Gambeson, gloves, pale yellow brigandine, and a closed face helmet
Warhammer with the head in the shape of the family star
Heater shield with his heraldry
Hand and a half single edged sword with a slight curve, a ricasso, a fuller, and a solid crossguard
Telperinquar
Gambeson, gloves, mail, full plate, and a closed face helmet (Curvo won't let him out otherwise)
Warhammer with the head in the shape of the family star
Kite shield with his heraldry
Longsword, double edged, with a ricasso, a double fuller, and a solid crossguard
Ambarto
Gambeson, gloves, and boiled leather cuirass, painted red
85lbs bow
Single edged shortsword, no crossguard
Ambarussa
Gambeson, gloves, and boiled leather cuirass, painted orange
85lbs bow
Single edged shortsword, no crossguard

"i wonder how I taste meme" wouldn't really work with fengqing because in a number of fights the generals are not proud of, they have bitten each other more than once.

In light of more people bringing up 'Timmy being a fairy' aus, may we interest you in a long held 'Timmy's Anti-Fairy counterpart should be Gary' headcanon
(text under the readmore)

Upper Right, arrow pointed at Gary: Despite having been 'born' older, Poof/Irep still considers Gary to be his 'little brother'
Bottom Right, arrow pointed at Gary: Handful

By the time Fingolfin’s host came to Beleriand they had fashioned additional clothes from the pelts of beasts. They hung as heavy with memories of the ice as they did with fur and snow. After Lammoth Fingolfin burnt both orc bodies and clothes, leaving the memories with them.

So I've been thinking about chemical warfare and how it was used in both world wars...and I'm just thinking that Alucard would be disturbed if not outright afraid of chemical warfare. Sure Alucard survive pretty much anything and yes, he absolutely has a stronger sense of smell than humans do. However I don't actually think Alucard would be totally immune to gas. Sure he can regenerate, but I think even he would wary of the stuff, especially considering he's probably had white phosphorus used on him before, and that stuff just eats away at flesh right down to the bone and sometimes through it.
Sure some gasses he probably wouldn't be terribly affected by seeing how if he can smell it, he'll probably just stop breathing. But the ones that don't have a smell? The ones that are more insidious and tend to not act until much later? I think Alucard is incredibly wary of those kinds simply based on the fact that the delayed reaction would likely happen much quicker to him due to his likely increased metabolism as a result of his regeneration, and personally on something like Alucard? I think gas would be horrific. It would probably be just as horrific as it is on humans, and I do wonder if Alucard ever was allowed to fight in the first world war. He might not have, but there's a chance he might have, and had been introduced to such things either via being in the wrong place at the wrong time, or thanks to Van Helsing.
Either way, I don't personally see Alucard for all that he is, being okay by any means with chemical warfare. Either by seeing it as an abominable thing, feeling fear towards it, disgust, or a combination of all three. I just can't see him condoning the useage of such.

Wait...so remember that episode where Dib is talking to the Tallest on Zim's monitor--do the Tallest understand what he's saying and vise versa? OR did Zim give the Tallest a stack of info on Earth's culture and languages ahead of time and they now of a inkling of a understanding of Earth speak? I know they never had a proper conversation, but that post about irken languages got me thinking about it 🤔
I think it’s funnier if the answer is no. Because despite Dib talking to the Tallest non stop, the Tallest never reply. They just stare at Dib and talk to each other about the size of Dib’s head. So the Tallest are watching this small creature with a massive head excitingly make a bunch of noises at them that they don’t understand in the slightest.
Meanwhile Dib is calling the Tallest alien scum and asking for their planet’s coordinates.

Because it's a favor to Balmoral and their personal joy, the Maven has taken requests for the generals in terms of weaponry or the like that they would like. All of them have it inconspicuous in differing ways and attuned to how they work. Risteard's is in the shape of a ring. It is actually shaped similarly to the heirloom ring that Risteard would have inherited as the Gallochbar's inheritor. However the actual ring is likely lost somewhere and he honestly doesn't want the true ring.
The stone is cairngorm smoky quartz that is rough cut. It can be considered a 'dull' color but Risteard finds a beauty in the natural colors. And the frame for the metal is an antique metallic look.
Of course it is not solely a ring. Usually Risteard has it active when he turns the stone to the inside of his palm and grasps it within the palm. This turns it into what can look like a cane but is, you guessed it, a whip sword. The stone becomes apart of the pommel.
Usually Risteard coats it with poison if he is actually fighting. He's gotten into a situation where he kinda dueled Mhoirbheinn and he didn't use it then because he doesn't find a point in causing serious harm. But even the poison coating is not even completely serious. It's like if he wants to harm but not kill. Killing intent is when each blade is a different kind so it will be fucking his opponent up faster.
Now how does he have time for coating it with all these things? He doesn't. Within the cane, there are technically 'vials' that can be placed within. Risteard invokes which he wants to use, if any, with a mental command or within grip if it's not being used by him. And the whole weapon itself is attuned to his nature. So he can always channel his natural poison into his blade regardless of vials though it is usually helped when he gives a small bit of blood to it.
This is the weapon that Risteard always has on hand even when stripped of normal weapons. On a normal basis he does have a simple blade, usually noted as a misericorde, on his person. Why only that? As he tends to put: "I am a mediator, not a combatant."

Imagine getting hit in the face with this baby by a guy sprinting past on a horse! You won't have a face anymore. And without a helmet, you probably won't have much of a SKULL anymore! >:D
It's one handed, so he could use a shield in the other hand as well. I think it would be more useful to him as a primary backup weapon than a sword for horseback, especially against armor. A sword would be a good secondary backup weapon.

intelligence ( or lack thereof )
so, it's no secret that everybody refers to heid as an idiot behind his back. in the original ff7 - scarlet says to tseng ( while they're at gongaga )
Scarlet: But, even if we make the perfect weapon, could that stupid Heidegger even use it?
other characters have similar musings behind his back ( some alluding to his stress - example, in junon - a troop who mentions how 'on edge' the general's been lately. another says that he's been 'forced' to take aboard another project ( indicating a somewhat personal speculation of the director ).
a shinra manager directly refers to heid as an idiot behind his back
while a SOLDIER calls him a 'windbag' ( meaning - someone who talks at length but actually has very little to say (OUCH) )
so, is he actually dumb?
the short answer // yeah, kind of.
i see heid as being very much the sort who excelled when it came to physicality. he was your typical jock ( without the popularity ). sports / strength / anything that required a heavy hand or physical skill - totally fine. when it comes to articulating himself, he comes across as reasonable intelligent ( he's well-read & well-spoken. being raised rich, he was bought up on the 'finer things' and finer forms of entertainment. a lot of heid's intelligence comes from plays / music / tv and life experiences.
when it comes to a book-smart sort of guy / academically clever - he isn't. he just isn't. he would get frustrated if forced to take a theory test. isn't amused by people overanalysing or overthinking and actually gets frustrated by explanations / allusions / metaphors / implication.
this is why people refer to him as an idiot. because he's impatient - he's very blunt / black & white. while someone like genesis ( for example ) can sit and spout poetry / analyse it, too. this would frustrate heid & lead him to lash out.
calling him dumb / an idiot ?
he's actually pretty sensitive about it. not that his sensitivity will come across in sadness - no, he'll lash out. he'll kick off & absolutely shout abuse / get physical in response. it hits a nerve to comment on his intelligence because he knows he didn't always excel in the more subtle smarts of those around him. secretly, he knows that reeve or scarlet ( or fuck, maybe even palmer ) are smarter than him and it sometimes leaves him feeling a little lagged behind them.
he makes up for this insecurity in being loud, aggressive & physical. ( aka, what he knows ).
all in all - heid isn't an idiot by an average person's standards & he certainly excels in some areas of knowledge ( primarily things learnt whilst he was in the army / bought up on ). but when it comes to his level of smarts beside the other directors - he is seriously behind them.
hence his reputation - as an idiot.

A little detail I don't think many people have noted about Samuel is how he grabs the Demonic Crucible in the end cutscene of DOOM 2016. He doesn't physically grab it with his hands - he seems to pull it to his hand with telekinesis.
Except he's really not doing that. He's simply using his hand as a magnet for Argent Energy - pulling the Argent source directly to himself.
I think this is something he'd take advantage of in combat. He can throw the Crucible as a ranged weapon, only to call it right back to him like a boomerang. Kind of like the Loyalty enchantment from Minecraft.
And when you take into account that Samuel is also able to shift the Argent blade into different forms (outside of its default greatsword blade), this could become something incredibly dangerous to his opponents. Which is always fun.
