So My Stand-In just ended, and We Are & Wandee Goodday end next week. We still got Knock Knock, Boys!, My Love Mix-Up!, The Rebound, Love Sea, and SunsetxVibes for a while, but...

4 Minutes (Action | Drama | Sci-Fi)

It took Bible almost 2 years to crawl out of that Build fiasco, and the fandom is primed to see him again with all of the ominous and sultry clips of the series they've been teasing us with.

Obviously, it looks promising 👀 but I'm most excited to see him in action again, and to explore another supernatural Thai drama -- this time about precognition (aka seeing the future). It'll be even more interesting to explore what it's like to be in a relationship when you BOTH have that ability. Does it prevent missteps or prove they're inevitable? We'll also get to see if Sammon, co-writer of the haunting Dead Friend Forever, will haunt us with every project.

Battle of the Writers (Rom Com)

Tutor and Yim of Middleman's Love are joined by not one, but FIVE other couples in this adaptation of a Chinese webtoon where one of them is accused of plagiarizing the other. I love a love-hate dynamic, but I can't imagine Yim resisting Tutor for long, so we'll see.

Century of Love (Action | Drama | Romance | Supernatural)

Boy meets girl. Boy falls for girl. Girl dies. Boy uses magic stone to stay alive and agrees to die a tragic death if he doesn't find his reincarnated girl after 100 years. The Gods said "Ally!", sent her ass back as a boy the last year of that century, as if to say: "Oh, are you really in love? Prove it!" Boy, understandably, doesn't recognize girl. Suspense and tension ensue.

Really enjoying how the supernatural genre is slowly becoming as prominent as the high school / college romance settings. Please give me more of The Sign. But I'm, honestly, not really a fan of the actor Daou, which made it hard to endure their last series together, Love in Translation. Mostly in it for cheeky and adorable Offroad -- and the plot, obviously.

This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans (Rom Com)

So what I gather from the trailer is that a douchey rich guy hires a model to seduce a chef into making him his successor. Fuzzy on the why, but am far more interested in how that rich guy seduces the model's very aggressive bestie. Double the love-hate. Double the fun.

The Pit Babe writers wasted NO time capitalizing on the success of their series, and their pairings. Not only is this an answer to the Jeff and Alan fandom's pleas for more, it's also a response to the ghost ship of Kim and Kenta. We've never felt so seen. Also, I'm loving Thailand's Chef era.

The Trainee (Comedy | Drama | Romance)

A production intern slowly realizes the assistant director that everybody fears is low-key kindhearted -- and a whole ass snack. PAPI!!!

Love me some OffGun. Cooking Crush was meh but I have high hopes for this one. Per uje, their chemistry is immaculate.

(my silly writing seemed to make some of you happy so I'm more confident to post more silly writing)

Velvette’s Halloween party was in full swing, the room decked out in eerie, flickering lights and cobwebs so convincing they could almost be real... And maybe they were. They were in hell after all. She’d poured her heart into every last detail, from the fake fog rolling across the floor to the bowls of candy everywhere and, of course, into the costumes her fellow Overlords had grudgingly agreed to wear.

Standing in front of her now, Valentino adjusted the lapels of his ripped blue shirt, a tattered attempt at a "Frankenstein's monster" look. But, naturally, he’d put his own spin on it and he’d insisted on hot pants that glistened in the dim light, paired with towering stilettos. “Sexy monster” was more his vibe, and Velvette had rolled her eyes, but secretly, she knew it was perfect for him.

Beside him, Vox stood stiffly in his “werewolf” costume. Taped-on wolf ears perched awkwardly on his screen casing, one already starting to peel away. His suit was purposefully torn and a faux tail drooped behind him but he refused to take it off, grumbling whenever it caught on something. His screen flickered with feigned annoyance, though his gaze softened every time he glanced at Velvette, a rare willingness to go along with her plans. She was lucky that he had been in a good mood lately.

Noticing his poorly taped-on wolf ears already slipping off, Velvette clicked her tongue in mock disapproval and stepped up to him. “Hold still, Vee,” she said, peeling the flimsy tape off and replacing it with tiny, hidden magnets she pulled from her pocket. She pressed the ears back on, securing them firmly. “Now you can go wild on the dance floor without losing these… not that you would, you old fuck.”

Vox gave a dry laugh, screen flickering with amused pixels as he adjusted his new, sturdier ears. “Fierce as always, Velvette. But I used to dance a lot before you were even born!"

"Yeah yeah, old fuck." Velvette waved a dismissive hand but Vox looked her up and down. "What are you supposed to be? Toilette paper?"

Velvette herself was wrapped in gauzy white strips, styled and layered. "Fuck you, I'm a hot mummy, you prick." Vox really was just teasing because she struck a balance between sexy and stylish, a classic costume with just enough Velvette flair to make her feel untouchably cool, and if there was one thing Vox respected then it was his partners unique talents and Velvette understood fashion more than he ever could.

The night was a success, and despite all their grumbling, Velvette knew they were having a good time too.

“Alright, everyone, photo time!” she declared, pulling out her phone with a smirk. “Gotta show my followers I’m out with the undead elite.”

Valentino scoffed, strucking a pose with a grin, one stiletto jutting forward. “You just can’t resist capturing all this, Muñeca?”

Vox sighed, muttering, “Let’s make this quick,” but he leaned in, glancing at Velvette with an almost amused look.

She frowned, realizing the height difference between her and the two of them. “Hey, Vox, help me out here?”

With a knowing smirk, Vox extended a cable from his back, letting it loop under her foot like a branch. Velvette grinned, bracing herself as she hopped up onto it, and Vox gave the cable a light boost, lifting her smoothly into place. She wobbled for a second, laughing as she steadied herself, finally level with both of them.

"Alright, smile!" Velvette called, holding out her phone. Valentino flashed his perfect grin, Vox's screen flickered to a glowing eyed snarl, and Velvette's expression was cute as ever. As the camera clicked, she took in the sight of them - her ridiculous friends, in all their chaotic glory. A little warmth splayed inside her chest. She loved them for getting into this for her, even if she’d never say it out loud.

IN THE EPISODE WHERE ITS A WELL EMERGENCY??? the same emergency where we see buck try to dig eddie out with his bare hands and eddie is hit with montages of his family that give him the strength to fight? where buckley-diaz scenes are included? THE CLOSE CALL THAT MADE HIM WRITE BUCK IN HIS WILL AND MAKE HIM HIS SON’S LEGAL GUARDIAN???? AND YOURE CLOSING?!?! bsffr rn.

Luz is the character of all time, I swear to Titan

She starts the series off canonically weak, at least from a physical standpoint, but by the time the season one finale hits she pretty much solos storming a prison. And not only does she make it out of this incredibly dangerous situation alive, but despite probably having to fight through a lot of guards to reach Eda, there are only two people in that entire building who she isn’t able to immediately mop the floor with. 

What's more, look at the state they’re in after she’s done with them! 

Casual reminder that she did this back when she only had four spells at her disposal, only three of which were combative!  

And despite this clear badassery, she isn’t OP or the strongest character in the series, barring temporary titanification. Heck, she isn’t even the strongest member of her immediate friend group! Pretty much all of her big fights (Ex. Grom, Belos rounds 1 & 2, the Abomiton in EE, heck any of her fights aside from the Stonesleeper in EaE) she either lost or needed someone’s help to finish/simply survive. 

And yet she managed to trick a man who mastered manipulation centuries before she was even born, twice, and became the champion of a god. 

But also she once got a magic cold that made her think she had snake arms.

Her adoptive mom is a proud criminal who introduced the son she’d been raising for 8 years as her roommate, and is in love with a nonbinary rebel leader/band geek. Her birth mother is a trekkie who once beat up a flat earther with a flip-flop while she and her snake-sister watched. Said sister spent months stealing her identity, and once mispelled her name in a letter to her mother. 

She met god, and he was wearing sweatpants. Her little brother is the son of god, and accidentally predicted her death in a one-off joke before almost getting them both crushed to death by a snappily dressed lizard later that day. 

She meets her first real friend, who is one of the most powerful witches in the entire series, and less than an hour later they’re sneaking her into school so said friend can cheat on a project. 

Her second real friend, who is also one of the most powerful witches in the series and a massive human nerd, took out a Coven Head by accident while having a breakdown, and she had to hear about the whole thing second hand. 

She shot her future found brother/trauma buddy off of an airship, then saved his life less than an hour later. They speedran the ‘enemies to friends to siblings’ pipeline but with 10x the trauma, and were both murdered by the same centuries-old puritan witch hunter. 

She challenged her future girlfriend to a duel before she knew how to use a combative spell, and both of their teachers made them unintentionally cheat. Said future girlfriend also kissed her on the cheek, and she still spent a whole day freaking out about how to ask her crush on a date before said crush beat her to it seconds before she got the question out. 

She has some of the coolest moments in the entire series. One of her most heartbreaking scenes takes place under the tree she and her girlfriend made when they defeated a nightmare monster with the Power of Love™. She considered going to prom in an otter onesie.

For 99% of the series, she’s at her most powerful when armed with nothing but a (most likely pickpocketed) notepad and a pack of crayons.  

What a character.
