Random Tumblr Ask Question:
What would you do if you went into your kitchen, and found a living clone of yourself?
Context: This person is YOU from this morning, but instead of doing the tasks you did, they were in the kitchen. For all other purposes, they're you. They're not an imposter, they have your memories etcetc.
This is such an interesting question!
I think after trying to figure out HOW it happened and also verifying somehow that it's real, the two of us would have to sit down together and figure out how we were going to work this out.
Putting it under a cut bc it got really long lmfao
Assuming that the other me is here to stay, we'd need to come up with some way of differentiating ourselves. It would be really arrogant to act as if I'm the original (I'm sure the other me feels the same way), so something like Jessica 1 & Jessica 2 wouldn't work. Maybe we color code ourselves?
We would have the logistical challenge of basically existing in two places at once. We only have one social security number, one car, one bed, one job, etc. Obviously I'd tell my friends and family about this, but it could get complicated when it comes to official things. We'd probably have to legally continue living as one person.
And share the bed, unfortunately. (There's a guest bed but it's not as nice as my bed lmao)
I'm tempted to be like.. "we can take turns going to work!" But it would be difficult. I have a hard enough time keeping track of shit at work as it is .. I don't need to be literally absent half the time too. Maybe we can take turns on a quarterly basis. One of us would probably spend time doing a side hustle of some sort while the other is at work. It couldn't be a full second job (with a schedule) unless the hours were outside of my own work hours; it might look suspicious/fraudulent. The additional income would help pay for the increased food/bills/etc.
On a ... More unfortunate note, we'd have to share medication. Most of what I take is no big deal. We'll let the one working in the office have the vyvanse. We'll supplement the prescription vitamins with OTC stuff. I guess we'd alternate doses of the MS medication (and other stuff) and cross our fingers that nothing bad happens from being under-medicated lol. We'll alternate MRIs and doctors appointments too. Hopefully nothing happens to one of us medically that makes our records inconsistent; if that happened I guess the affected one gets to keep going to that doctor
When it comes to social engagements, I think we'd have to take turns. I think I'm probably kind of dull sometimes and annoying at other times, so I wouldn't want to subject my friends to two of me at once. Not to mention that a lot of things cost money, and it's not always in my budget to pay double for stuff.
I guess we'd have to come up with some system of deciding whose turn it is for things. Coin flips, random number generators, tests of skill? Not only for events and stuff, but also for stuff like who gets to keep the cell phone and who has to buy another one. Who gets to keep the Tumblr account and who has to make a new one? I wouldn't mind y'all knowing, but sharing an account would probably get confusing and people might confuse us for a DID system (which to be clear isn't a bad thing, it just wouldn't be accurate)
Big decisions would have to be up for discussion. Are we applying for a new job? Are we trading the car in? Where should we move to? I imagine it would be kind of like being married, but to a more controlling extent than I think would be healthy in a marriage. We'd need to agree on tattoos, piercings, haircuts, hair dye...
Oh, we'd also have to start discussing our days and try to keep records so we can keep things straight
Actually, it might just be easier to buy a fake identity off the dark web or something. This is complicated
Thanks for the fascinating question to ponder!!

A Look At September 2024

A Look At September 2024
September is going to put a strong emphasis on relationships, partnerships, and friendships in our life.  Too often it is easy to take for granted the people that care about us.  We may not always keep up with them, because we know they will still be there when we need them. Lives get busy and communications get lost in all that has to be done.  However, these are the times that it is very important to draw on and appreciate these valuable connections in our life.
When things are hard, that is when we need to ask for help from those that truly care about us.  Or, that is when we need to offer help to others.  Whether times are good or bad, heavy or joyful; it is important that we take the time for the relationships that we value in life.  In our valuable relationships, it doesn’t have to be doing anything.  It can simply be spending time together, going for a walk, or sitting down over a cup of tea or coffee in your own home.  It is really just about connecting and not having to do anything.  Time is often one of the hardest things for us to find these days; making it even more valuable to give to someone.
We may have challenges with those that are operating in heavy materialism.  They will lie or bring up very hurtful things, simply to try to break our Spirit.  Another reason why we need time with those that actually care about us.  It is easy to feel nothing works out at this time; but that wouldn’t really be true.  It is a time where we can see upheavals and revolution between those that are corrupt, and those that are standing in the Soul Self.  This can lead life to feel very heavy.  However, when we stand in Spirit and align with God and the Soul Self, then we will find our way through.  When we are feeling broken, then we need to honor time with those that truly love and care about us.  It hurts when those that have so much, try to take from those that have next to nothing and are barely surviving.  However, even in that pain, great strength is being built.  Remember, we do not have to be around those that are abusive to us.
Fortunately, this is a time where abundance is flowing.  Even if we are facing strong challenges, we are likely to still be feeling as if we have enough; especially where we are able to continue to carry out our own ideas and plans.  It is a time where we are able to find the courage to face our hardships and to continue to see things through to completion.  Even if sacrifices have to still be made, we are able to see successes coming through.  There is hope and possibility arising; no matter how challenged we feel.  If we are in a strong position and doing well; this is a great time to give a little assistance to those that are struggling to help themselves.  This doesn’t always have to be money.  Sometimes, it can be a room to stay in for a little while, or even a good healthy meal.  When we do this, we plant seeds of success for the person that we are helping and also for ourselves.
I welcome you to draw on and appreciate the valuable connections in your life.  What if they are happy to be there for you, if you will let them?
I welcome you to ask for the help that you need or offer it up to others.  What if sometimes, help is just about spending a little time with those that you love and care about?
I welcome you to stand strong in Spirit; regardless of what tries to break your Spirit.  What if this is the way through; especially when everything is feeling so hard, painful, and depleted?
I welcome you to embrace where abundance is flowing, and where successes are happening.  What if this gives you the courage to face hardships and see things through to completion?
From September 1st through 21st, we find that things are not moving forward as quickly as we want or in the way that we want.  In many ways, this is a time of awakening; and when awakening is happening, we are sometimes brought into stagnation.  Lies, deceit, and manipulation by others may have led us in unfavorable directions which we are just now beginning to see.  It is important that we make the adjustments to bring things back into Divine Alignment; even if we have to walk alone and break away from others in that process.  Nothing can move forward until we do this.
Relationships, partnerships, and friendships that are true can be very valuable to us during this time.  However, it is likely that their strength and loyalty will be tested by those that are seeking power and control over others.  We can find that some friends end up betraying us because they are being blackmailed in some way and are too afraid of losing things if they support us.  It is important that we don’t allow others to bully us, silence us, and restrict our freedoms and rights.  Abuses are likely to get hard on those that don’t comply with what corruption and abusers want.  If we value friendships, then we need to keep strong communications open and don’t let others use lies to divide us and pit us against each other.
We also have to be very careful of reactions and strong emotions during this time.  It is not a good time to be traveling, around construction areas, using power tools, or around heavy equipment.  Accident and death energy are present, making accidents are more likely to happen.  Extra attention needs to be used for everything; and the more that we feel like we are breaking down, the more likely we are to get in accidents and find ourselves in danger.  It is best for us to consciously close things out with love and to realize what has no place in our future.  The choices we make have a powerful impact on the direction that we take; so, we want to focus on breaking through as much as we can during this time.
It is much easier than normal to be triggered by injustices and lies.  We need to remove our emotional charge from things and look at the actual facts around things.  This will help us to see things with a clearer perspective and to learn what needs to be done and can be done.  It is a great time to draw on others with the wisdom to know what to do.  They may be able to show how different choices could play out and what possibilities are available to us in standing up for what is right in appropriate ways.  They will know how to help us to be successful with our efforts.
I welcome you to embrace the awakenings that you are having.  What if they are showing you where and how things need to be adjusted, so that you can move forward in Divine Alignment?
I welcome you to keep communications with others strong and don’t let others come between you.  What if those that turn against you at this time, are only doing so because of lies and fear?
I welcome you to pay extra attention to what you are doing and all that is happening around you.  What if this keeps you and others safe from unnecessary accidents?
I welcome you to look at the actual facts around things without highly charged emotions.  What if others can help guide you to know how to handle things and to see how your different options might play out?
From September 22nd through the end of the month, we are being called to be careful with how we are using our power in the world.  It is important that we are not using it to compete with others and to make ourselves appear as better than them.  We do not want to use it to pursue fame and fortune; or, what we receive will be taken from us.  We sit on the energy of the Wheel of Fortune.  Things can go in any direction; and it depends on how we are using our power.  If we are working from kindness, then well thought out risks can work out well.  If we are coming from greed or hate, then we are likely to take some hard falls.
The energy feels a bit contradictory during this time.  On one hand, we are seeing successes and things are flowing well.  On the other hand, we are feeling challenged by those that are misusing their power and turning people on each other with lies.  Lies, unfairness, and a lack of integrity bring revolutions, upheaval, and strife.  This is all about an attempt to control people and lead them in unfavorable directions.  Again, it is important that we do not battle, compete, or fight with those in that space.  Instead, we want to take lawful action and let the facts be what brings them down.  There are always appropriate and lawful ways to bring the facts out; which will always dissolve the lies that are being told.
This is a great time to focus on our own ideas and plans.  We have the potential to be successful with them; especially where we draw on the wisdom of others.  Others can really help to inspire us and help us to find ways to imprint our own style into things.  All forms of the arts are favored.  Others may teach us new things.  It this is a good time for learning new techniques or ways that can help our plans to be more successful.
Power and control are on the surface.  This is a time where we could see some turnover in corrupt leaders.  It is likely they will be exposed for their tyranny and corruption.  This is likely to lead more people to pull away from being part of groups and to take their power back.  This is going to have to be done if we are to create healing in body, mind, and Spirit.  People will need time to process what is happening with world leaders and the tyrannical structures that are being shown at this time.  We come to realize that no one is truly going to take care of us but ourselves.  It is important that we honor what we need to do for our own personal care during this time.
I welcome you to be careful with how you are using your power in the world.  What if the more we misuse our power, the more that we will lose; while the more we are working from wisdom and kindness, the more we will gain?
I welcome you to be careful to take action and not allow others to provoke you into reaction.  What if there are always appropriate and lawful ways to do things through the facts; and it will be the facts that will dissolve the lies?
I welcome you to be open to learning from others.  What if they can share things that will help your plans to be more successful?
I welcome you to take your power back from those that are operating in tyrannical ways.  What if this will also create healing in body, mind, and Spirit for you?
In Summary, appreciate the connections that are valuable to you.  Take time to connect with those that love and care about you.  Stand in Spirit to see your way through things.  Embrace your true abundance.  Embrace any awakenings that are happening for you.  Keep strong communications with the relationships and friendships that are important for you.  Take extra precautions to avoid accidents.  Allow others to help you see how your different choices could play out.  Be careful with how you are using your power in the world.  Find lawful and appropriate ways to bring the facts out.  Take time to process things that are happening in your life and the world.
What To Focus Our Actions On
This monthis a time where we are able to break free and be victorious over what has challenged and tested us for a long time.  We are able to pass the initiations that we have been under and break free from those situations that are repressive and restrictive for us.  People are wanting a sense of adventure and to be in exploration.  This is a great time to try new things and to explore the deeper aspects of everyday things that we often take for granted.  It is all about being able to appreciate what is simple, authentic, and natural.
Lies, deception, and manipulation are strong from others.  Truth is being exposed, and what has been hidden cannot hide any longer.  It is important that we don’t join others in the lies and that we maintain the strength to stand in truth and integrity, even if we are standing alone.  People can become more vindictive than normal as they try to keep their lies and corruption hidden.  We do not need to battle with them; but only need to hold our light strong.
I welcome you to try new things and explore the deeper aspects of everyday things that you take for granted.  What if it is really about learning to appreciate what is simple, authentic, and natural?
I welcome you to hold your light strong where others are choosing lies and corruption.  What if you do not have to battle them; but need only keep your light going through truth and integrity?
What To Focus Our Thoughts On
From September 1st through September 9th, there are strong desires to live more freely in the world.  It is a time where people are having victories over what has been restrictive for them.  We will see more and more people giving up excesses in life, in order to be able to focus on things of true value.  People are wanting to have experiences and time to actually enjoy life; instead of just working all of the time.  Even if we love what we do, we need to have time to get our own experiences and to do things that are not tied to working.
Lies, deception, and manipulation are really abundant during this time.  They are particularly being used to hold people in their addictions, to make them feel weak and powerless, to remove personal accountability, and to restrict their freedom and ability to think for themselves as much as possible.  We are likely to see attempts to sabotage those that are standing in truth and integrity.  This shows us that those who are working in corruption and lies are standing in fear.  They fear the truth coming up; but cannot see that it is already coming out.  Remember, it takes just 1 person standing in truth and integrity for things to be seen for what they really are.
I welcome you to be victorious over what is restrictive for you.  What if this is about realizing what holds true value and what is just material excess in your life?
I welcome you to realize that the more you stand in truth and integrity, the more powerful you become.  What if it takes just 1 person standing in truth and integrity to allow things to be seen for what they really are?
From September 10th through September 25th, we must work strongly with caution and wisdom.  Mistakes and accidents can be deadly during this time.  Danger is more evident; especially if we have not learned from our past choices.  The key is to transform things and don’t give up until you get a breakthrough.  Everything is working to break us down; but we need to find the strength within us to push through things.  Our choices have a powerful impact on what direction our life takes; and if we make the breakthroughs that we need to make and don’t let people and things hold us back then we will put ourselves on a path that creates a favorable and stable future.
This is a time where we are likely to be learning a lot.  We are learning about ourselves, our priorities, our triggers, our breaking points, and our plans.  This is a time where our illusions about how success works, may be broken.  It is tempting to lash out at those that are seeing successes; but are aligned with corruption.  Or, to realize that most really big successes are only there because of sacrificing morals and values.  On the positive side, those in Divine Alignment will be making strong progressions at this time.  However, this is also likely to lead them to come under attack by those that are not wanting them to progress and who are working against Divine Presence in the world.  On the bigger world stage, we will see everything from attacks on character to literal assassination attempts being made on those that are working for the people and upholding God and Divine Presence in the world.
I welcome you to find the strength to push through things and get your breakthroughs.  What if your choices and ability to do this, have a strong impact on the direction that your life takes?
I welcome you to embrace any progression that you are making and don’t let others stop you from moving forward.  What if the attacks you get, are simply a way to try to control you and scare you from seeing things through; and proof that corruption is losing power?
From September 26th through the end of the month, we are finding ways to express ourselves in the world through our own ideas and plans.  This is a time that we are learning more about what our style really is and how to express it in what we are doing.  We are favored for connecting with others and learning how they have done things.  All forms of the arts have the ability to inspire us.  It is important to get out and have some fun and be a bit spontaneous.  The key is to not do things out of urgency, pressure, force, fear, and impulsiveness.  Remember, that spontaneity is always an invitation to participate; while impulsiveness is a forced or manipulated action.
Power battles are likely to surface between those that want power and control over others and those that want to live freely in the world.  This is a great time for us to learn more about how to develop our own skills.  While it may not always be as convenient to do things ourselves; it is important to realize that we will never truly benefit by turning our power over to governments, centralized organizations and structures, and others to make choices for us.  When we do that, we will lose everything.  One of the great things about self-sufficiency, is that it often brings more balance into our life.  It gives us one of the greatest gifts that we can have; which is freedom.
I welcome you to learn more about what your style really is and how to express it in what you are doing.  What if getting out and having fun and being spontaneous, can help you to do this?
I welcome you to learn ways that you can further develop your own skills.  What if the most convenient things are not always the best things for you; and it is always best to stick with what allows you to make your own choices, even if it is not always convenient?
Connecting To Our Soul Self
From September 1st through September 22nd, the codes show us that we will find peace and calm where we are willing to meet our responsibilities and obligations.  It is a time where we are able to be very productive and can get through things with greater ease.  Accomplishments and progression can be made, even with very challenging and overwhelming things.  During this time, we are called to focus on what will bring greater peace to ourselves and others.  It is about loving what we are doing, even if it challenges us and isn’t fully what we want to be doing.  As the work gets done, it is important to take some time to just be in calm, serene, and peaceful spaces.
Triggers that surface for us today are connected to experiences from our past.  There is something in them that is leading us to re-experience the injustices that happened earlier in our life.  We have the chance to correct previous choices through our present circumstances.  If we allowed others to victimize us and didn’t stand up for what was right in the past; then we are being called to stand up for what is right now.  We need only to do it from facts and in appropriate ways, without being in battle with others.  As we do this, we are actually clearing previous karma and setting ourselves on a more favorable path.
I welcome you to focus on what will bring greater peace to yourself and others.  What if this starts with learning to love what you are doing, even if it challenges you?
I welcome you to see how what is triggering you now, is connected to experiences from your past.  What if this is an opportunity to correct previous choices through present circumstances?
From September 23rd through the end of the month, stress and anxiety increase where we are feeling restrictions in our freedom.  This is a time where we may realize where we are putting our time and attention on things of value, and where we are not.  This is a time that calls us to realize where we are sacrificing too much and being placed in a victim mindset or position.  It is a time, that shows us that we will do better to simplify things and create more balance in life.  Living more extravagantly just is not worth the stress that it causes and it robs us of wonderful and valuable experiences.
We need to use caution where others are concerned.  They simply cannot be trusted.  There is a tendency for people to tell others whatever they think that they want to hear; instead of being honest with them.  While some don’t understand the damage and trouble this causes, others are just focused on getting what they want and don’t care.  We need to have the strength to walk away from situations where people cannot be honest and operate in integrity.  Even little “white lies” designed to “protect” people can be very dangerous.  Our responsibility is to stand in the truth; and it is not up to us to decide if others can or cannot handle it.  The betrayal of not being honest, is far worse for someone to deal with; than the temporary challenges of facing the truth.
I welcome you to consider how much time and energy you are putting into things of value and how much you are putting into things without true value.  What if we cannot remove ourselves from victim mindsets and patterns where we are sacrificing things of value for things of no real value?
I welcome you to have the strength to walk away from situations where people cannot be honest and don’t operate with integrity.  What if even little “white lies” can be quite dangerous?

Small actions, big outcomes! Environment as a frequent classroom topic!
Describe your personal ethic as you develop as a nature interpreter. What beliefs do you bring? What responsibilities do you have? What approaches are most suitable for you as an individual?
This is my final blog post and you likely do not know who I am, but if you are interested, I invite you to delve into Madeline Fantin’s interpretive ethics, values, and ideas for the future.
To start, what beliefs do I bring? I am a wildlife biology and conservation student; therefore, the vast majority of my courses have looked through a scientific lens (western science that is). Perhaps the reason I chose my program is due to possibly my most core belief, that individuals have the power and influence necessary to make a real difference. This is why I became a vegetarian even though my entirely Italian family thinks I’m bonkers, I think one person cutting their carbon emissions is a worthwhile effort. Are billionaires flying their private jets around for unsatisfactory reasons and investing in all kinds of large corporations who dump pollution directly into our environment? Yes of course, and don’t get me wrong, I think part of the fight towards a healthy planet is holding the extremely wealthy accountable. Perhaps they are hoping we will put all the blame on ourselves so that we ignore their insurmountable consumption. However, we are consumers too and where possible, we can choose where to put our money and how to live our lives to a certain extent. I believe that however small, the average citizen’s fight against climate change is valuable and necessary. In conversations I have had with the people in my life, I have learned that many people become unmotivated by the “all or nothing” mindset. For example, I frequently hear people say that they “could never go without meat all the time.” So don’t! Have meatless Mondays! Have meatless weekends! Go pescatarian! Go meatless biweekly! There are unlimited combinations of schedules that could provide a more reasonable expectation. The effort doesn’t need to be “perfect” to be worth something. This can be applied to many environmental actions. In most places in Ontario, it wouldn’t be reasonable to ask people to use public transport or bike as a main form of transportation. Most cities don’t have great public transport, and most people live a long, long bike ride away from their place of work. However just because you cannot bike to work doesn’t mean you can’t ever trade the car for your bike. Maybe there’s a friend you often visit just on the other side of the neighborhood, and maybe you usually drive to them, but when the weather is ideal and if you are able, the bike could work! Many “imperfect” actions are better than no action at all I promise!!!! There is no shame in not being the perfect environmentalist all the time, it is near impossible in the society we have created.
I also believe that there is something to be gained from spending time in nature, for anyone. Whether that is a chance to gather thoughts, get some exercise, some vitamin D, you name it. I don’t think it needs to be picturesque either. Sometimes connecting with nature looks like sitting on the curb outside your east campus townhouse because the sun has reappeared after some days of gloom. Sometimes you will have the energy to head to the arboretum, but when you don’t, taking a sunny break on the curb is better than skipping the outdoors all together. Again, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing.
I believe it is never too late to get started! Everyone, no matter the age or circumstance, should feel like they have a place in the world of nature interpretation and the outdoors. Having not grown up in an outdoor adventure family doesn’t mean you can’t have any outdoor adventures! On that point, outdoor adventures are whatever you make them. They need not be a costly trip to the other side of the continent. Someone with the right mindset could gain more from an hour by the local creek, than someone with the wrong mindset on their trip to Mount Kilimanjaro.
What responsibilities do I have? Well, there are the obvious ones such as to deliver the program I have advertised, inform guests about risk, manage and prevent dangers, present accurate information, check my bias and privilege, to be fun and engaging, and for guests to leave feeling like they have benefitted in some way. Other more specific responsibilities I believe depend on the approach…
So what approaches are the most suitable for me? Well, it is my goal to get into teaching in high school classrooms. This is not the type of environment we have spent the last few months discussing, but nonetheless I think there is a ton of relevant overlap. Nature interpretation could take place in the classroom, or the school yard. There may also be opportunity for class trips where students could be exposed to new ways of learning or new environments.
When relevant to the content, I would aim to stimulate interest and conversation about the environment and environmental issues happening around the world, as they relate to us in Canada and otherwise. I probably plan on living in Canada, and therefore will need to create programs suitable for all 4 seasons. This could mean the same topic modified with each passing season, different topics in each season, or a combination. I am excited to take advantage of the variance each season brings. I think many topics in the high school curriculum could benefit from an environmental lense, and I would look to make connections throughout where possible.
I would look to encourage active learning and participation through mediums the students may be interested in, just like we talked about all the different mediums of nature interpretation. If I’m teaching grade 9 or 10 science, then this class is still required of them, and many may only be there by necessity. They might not want to be there or have particular interest in the content, which is ok, and I would need to navigate how to still make sure they get what they are meant to, even if they never develop excitement about it.
To revisit responsibilities, as a teacher I must provide a classroom environment conducive to learning, where everyone feels comfortable, valued, and that students look forward to attending each day.
For my final blog post outro (☹), I will say that climate doomism is very contagious and easy to get wrapped up in. I think one of the most important things we can do as nature interpreters is spark hope for change. You never know who is looking to you when they are feeling discouraged about the state of the world, and how you can provide them motivation to keep fighting the good fight!

The ultimate guide to CRUSH your GOALS in 2023
Tumblr media
2023 is coming our way faster than we thought. A few days ago it was October and we were all celebrating Halloween and then, as we blinked our eyes, Christmas was here and we were busy buying gifts and having dinner with friends and family. These last couple weeks of December always pass by so fast that we don’t even realize how close New Year’s Eve is. The next thing we know is that it is midnight and there are fireworks in the night sky.
Most of us like to write down some resolutions and things we want to change about ourselves to become our best version and to have the best year of our life - to be successful. However, after two or three weeks into January, we start getting lost, forget about our goals, lose motivation, and end up doing the same as the previous year, only to notice it when December comes again.
To overcome that, I’m bringing you this guide, explaining why such a thing happens, and how to crush all your goals and stick to new healthy habits this year.
Review Your 2022
It is a fact that we learn from our mistakes, so it isn’t an exception in this case.
Go back and think of who you were a year ago, on January 1st, and the goals you wanted to achieve through 2022. Reflect on your past goals and ambitions - did you accomplish all of them? If not, why?
It is important to remember that although we didn’t achieve all our goals and our year didn’t happen as planned, we still learned a lot and grew.
Resolutions for 2023
Knowing the highlights of 2022, you can wisely plan this new year. First, think about all the things you wanted to achieve last year, and write them down. Then, list other things you want to do this year - make sure they’re achievable since you want to work to get them and not do something impossible.
It’s also good to think about relationships and who doesn’t belong in our lives anymore. Don’t be afraid to cut people off when they’re not doing any good to you anymore, or when you don’t do any good to them.
SMART Goals
We don’t achieve our goals throughout the year because we don’t use smart goals. But, what are SMART goals, then?
SMART stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-Bound. What we mean by this is that you have to make sure you don’t grab a piece of paper and write "get healthier", "get good grades", or "get a lot of money", since they’re too generic.
Instead, you should take these generic goals and develop them into something like this:
To get healthier, I will walk 10k steps every day,  drink 2L of water, and go to the gym twice a week; I will lose 5kg by march.
Don’t go too heavy on yourself - you can increase the intensity as the year goes by.
New Habits
Sometimes bad habits hold us back from achieving our goals (for example, procrastinating, going to bed late, or scrolling endlessly on social media). Sit back, reflect on your past days, and point out which bad habits are in your routine. You will need to get rid of them. The best way to do it is by replacing it with a new healthy habit. For example, swipe the number of hours you spend on social media reading a book, practicing an instrument, or exercising. If you want to stop drinking soda, swipe it with water.
Make a list of new habits you want to include in your routine, then check them off every day and see how long you can keep the streak! Reward yourself after a certain amount of time (after a week, a month, you name it).
With these new habits implemented in your daily life, you’ll see your routine changing through the months. If you stick to these habits, you’ll feel a huge difference by the end of the year.
Motivation
Most of the time we end up not doing things because we lack motivation. It makes us procrastinate for hours and hours, searching for inspiration and trying to find just a little bit of motivation to get up and do what has to be done. That’s right, I’ve been there.
We always ask ourselves “how are they always so motivated?” The truth is, they are not! Motivation isn’t everything, and it won’t make us reach our goals - on the contrary: if we spend our precious time awaiting motivation to come to us, we will spend another year doing nothing. That’s why we create a system to reach our goals - we need to be consistent, even when we don’t feel like doing it. We have to get up and do our work, because who else will do it for us?
Vision Board
Last but not least, create a vision board.
Don’t throw just “cute pictures” on a board to create a good vision board. Instead, pick pictures that make you feel closer to your goals, that help you visualize them, and that is always there in front of you to remind you about the purpose of your day.
You can make a physical vision board or a digital one. To the physical, search for images, words, and phrases that remind you of your goals. Then print them and put them together on a board or in a notebook - but make sure it’s somewhere visible so that you can always reach for it and take a look.
If you rather do it digitally, it’s also quite simple. Instead of printing picture by picture, make a collage. The best way is to put them together in a document that fits your computer/tablet/phone screen. This way you can set it as wallpaper, and look at it multiple times throughout the day, even without thinking of it.
Conclusion
Let’s look at what has been said: before setting goals for 2023, think about 2022 and highlight good and bad moments. Revise the goals you have achieved, and those you didn’t, and try to understand the reason behind them. After that, let’s head to the next step, which is the actual goal-setting: write down your new year resolutions, keeping in mind the definition of SMART goals, so that they’re achievable. Among the new goals, set new habits you want to stick to and find bad habits in your routine you want to get rid of. The last step is to create a vision board and keep it close to you.
Last tip: Before concluding, I’d like to remind you to check your goals and resolutions throughout the year. I recommend taking a look at them every month, and then writing a journal entry by the end of each month and reflecting on what went well, and what went wrong. Always plan and set small monthly steps to achieve your final goals.

My cousin and I were chatting this morning about things today’s society could use (long, long list and so, so much politics). But one thing we agreed on is that towns should have things like soda fountains again:
Tumblr media
A place that is not school or a church where people can hang out together, without the expectation of drinking or particularly loud music or of spending a large amount of money. A place where you can hang out for periods of time and snacks or treats are available to purchase to help keep the establishment nice. There is some level of this still in gaming stores, but where can people who aren’t really into games go? They brought up a lovely tearoom they used to love visiting - openly queer-friendly, selections of tea and baked goods, and nice areas where you could hang out and just chat together for a few hours. These are very normal human things to want. Social gatherings that have nothing to do with education or religion have always been some of the most valued parts of communities. There’s a reason the people in older books are so often talking about their joys in various work bees or the pleasure of an afternoon gathering at the teahouse, or the joy of an evening pub, or the fun of a salon or a dress fitting. We are inherently social creatures. We need our packs desperately and we can’t have our only outlets for socialization be rigidly enforced by someone else.  If you ask children about their favorite part of church or school, a lot of them answer that recess, lunch, singing, and afterwards running around are their favorite parts. All communal activities that strengthen social bonds, but particularly the ones that do not involve much instruction or oversight. The pleasure is in making joyful noise or seeing other children and playing with them. Take a child to a beach or a playground and they will almost always find other children to play with. These short bonds are essential to developing healthy psyches.  And yet, first with segregation and then through hyper-capitalism, the American way has been to deny the importance of these spaces. Young white Boomers got their soda fountains, where they could gather as groups, dance, hang out, flirt, and have fun with no worries - parents didn’t have to worry overmuch, because there was plenty of supervision, but it gave kids an opportunity to practice their social skills. And then they decided that their lovely teenage experience was so lovely that they could charge an arm and a leg for anyone looking to recreate it.  The Founders did try to cultivate the adoption of mutual public gathering spaces for leisure - they certainly spent enough time in coffee shops and inns and pubs, talking politics, playing popular games of the day, and flirting. But it just never really caught on among the majority of white Americans, and 300 years later, we are still struggling with this thing. Like... most of us are aware that our ancestors came from societies that had communal gathering spaces besides church and school. Yet, as a society, not only have we denied ourselves communal spaces, we’ve tried hard to deny everyone else their right to communal spaces as well.  We tried with coffee shops like Starbucks. “Come on in to the local coffee shop! Drink something, talk quietly, eat a baked good!” And sometimes, bigger towns will have actual coffee shops where you can sit and exist quietly, have some conversation, and only be encouraged to spend money as a function of service - if you want a coffee or a scone, you can get one, but you can be there regardless. But the Starbucks experience immediately worked to strip away every part of the coffee shop experience - sure, you can meet for a leisurely coffee and a scone! But it better be in an off-time, or maybe you can go to a less popular location in the same town, because otherwise the noise from the drive-thru and the huge line of people getting their caffeinated sugar water will make it impossible to have a conversation. Oh, and to mask this noise, the Muzak has been turned up to nearly club levels, so you can’t hear what the other person is saying anyway. And if you’re not actively consuming something, there is almost guaranteed to be a person standing near your table, giving you the stink eye for sitting there too long. That is not what can be counted as a pleasant communal space.  It’s one of those other things where Americans are ironically labeled as lazy. We are so not lazy that we are actively damaging our own psyches, literally driving ourselves into fatigue and community starvation so severe that it is indistinguishable from severe mental illness. And one small thing that we can do is allow low and no cost communal spaces for rest and socialization. And my fellow white people, we can stop with the Puritan “try to squeeze every drop of productivity from every moment or God HATES YOU”. Even they had quilting bees and sledding parties and group sings. The people who banned Christmas, dancing, the wearing of ribbons, and the preparation of rich meals *had more fun than you do*.

Fuck studying Imma ramble cause I'm over it. The first midterm for birds class and ID is supposed to be relatively easy and if it is fuck it I don't need to study, if its not, then fuck it this was the "hardest part of birds" for me so I'll just do better on the next one. My levels of shits has gone down so much with how over school I am and since working with the subsystem and realizing everyone is really over it. I have ONE last class and I can not be asked (technically two but I'm taking the other P/NP so I don't have to worry about the grade so long as I get a C- which is easy)
But honestly, our system has spent the first twenty-two years of our life being put on high pressure to keep everything perfect of the capitalistic grindset with a metaphorical knife to our throat if we so much as slip up. And this is not meant to be a brag, because I say this with exhaustion due to just how much mental illness, splitting, and pain we put into this, but we have actually managed to keep a REALLY clean and perfect track record. We have over a year of formal research experience, two years worth between two seperate labs. We have a year of clinical experience. We've maintained a perfectly clean record in terms of legal shit. We've maintained off of all addictive substances (save for caffeine). We've "gotten a good grade in healing and recovery". We've built so many skills and properly learned to self care some. We make money. We have a really good healthy long term relationship. We have some really strong healthy stable friends. We have healthy positively fulfilling hobbies. We are on our way to a career path we love and we are a very strong candidate for our ideal career.
We have worked so fucking endlessly and tore ourselves apart regularly (literally I guess) to keep this up because we could never get ourselves to fucking stop and we are so so so close to what our whole system thinks is the first time in our entire lives that we can actually take a breather and fucking just LIVE.
Running the mid to late December we are finally graduated with our Bachelors degree and we can join the work force and spend two years just fucking living before going into gradschool. I've had some classmates give me a weird look and judge cause my "gap year" is still me fully working a full time job and that is "self care" but it really really really fucking is for us.
Now that I'm writing this I'm definitely blurred, possibly temp-fused with Data - actually almost certainly temp-fused with Data. But we are so so so so so fucking just hoping that we are right that this is finally fucking live and not be in this fucking hellhole of a miserable life.
Like I (Data side) would be so fucking happy to just let this all fucking go and just fuse into the rest of the subsystem properly because we really really don't need to be holding onto our life with as tight of a grip as I / we do but until we finish this last quarter, this last year, it was absolutely non negotiable. I'm praying to whatever god I don't believe in that I am right and that my brain will let us just have two fucking seconds of life.
I don't really even know what that would look like - WE don't even know what that would look like. Having two years where the only thing on our "progress list" is just working and not having to worry about tests or skill building. There's even a chance we might end up moving across the country and live near our best bro and bring our fiance over when he can make it.
It's so incomprehensible to actually be able to just do things without it having to be a check mark in a grand miserable scheme of making sure everything is perfect and done right and that we have entire control and awareness over our progress win life. It's so incomprehensible to have so few variables to keep track of to make sure we won't be miserable the rest of our lives. It's so incomprehensible to actually be able to live and ugh.
I'm so fucking tired and burnt out on living like this. It's been 22 years. We've given enough and once we secure a job for those two years, we have officially reached the bare minimum stability that our brain can finally permit us to have the first breather we had since we came out of the fucking womb right?
My "book" says in theory yes and I pray that it is not a false hope and a lie. I've been trudging through this past month or two with the energy given from the idea that if I get this last bit done right, I can theoretically be fucking free because I succeeded. If I do, then I will cry and be more than glad to fuse which is hopefully the plan.
("also lol Riku -> Data-Riku temp-fuse -> Data caught live in ramble" -Riku back there)
I'm exhausted as shit but currently it's optimistic and hopeful positive exhaustion. I hope in the next half year that I'm not an isolated part and our system has healed enough that I don't have to be a seperate part and we (as a whole) do not have to feel the need to have someone as chronically obsessive-compulsive driven. I'd love that, both for myself (since I would have achieved the ability to let some of it go) and for the whole.
Crossing my fingers.

7 Reasons Relationship Coaching is a Game Changer
There is no shame in asking for help
We often reach out to a therapist or a coach when we are lost, confused, and hurt. A therapist will mainly dig into your past trauma, while a coach will work more on the present and the future. But of course, there is no rule.
Both options are good, and both will help tremendously. It all depends on your needs and personal preference.
But since I am a certified relationship coach and my passion is to help men and women and empower them on their love journey, I will refer more to the coaching industry in this article.
Most times, people are ashamed or afraid to ask for help.
I was one of them. In fact, I was worse. I had a big ego, and I was judgemental. But the reality is that coaching or therapy is medicine for the soul.
This is one of the reasons I became a coach. And for many others. Because I can help (already am) so many people on their journey and guide them on how to work on their personal development.
During our lives, we all go through ups and downs. And I call this balance. We all secretly wish there were only ups and no downs but hey, those bad times come for a reason. And this is to make us grow, evolve, get to know ourselves better, and reach a higher level of our existence.
Most amazing things were built during hard times when life threw challenges to us. When we were hurt and when we were in pain.
And most of the time, this is when we feel the need to reach out to a coach.
Working with one that you resonate with will be an enlightening experience. It was for me. As I said in a previous article, it was the best money and time ever spent. And the best investment in myself.
Before I continue, I have to mention (again) something highly important: A coach will never fix you. This is your job. A coach will be there to give you a plan and structure. A coach will empower, guide, and support you.
You can say it’s teamwork. But it is a lot up to you. To be successful and see change, it’s your responsibility to do your homework and continuously work on yourself with the tools and exercises you have been given. A coach can’t hold your hand forever and always be next to you.
7 Reasons Relationship Coaching is a Game Changer
It will make you understand that, first and foremost, you will have to work on yourself.
It will make you build or rebuild your self-love.
It will make you understand that you can’t control what is happening in the outer world but only how is your reaction to those things.
It will give you structure.
You will replace limiting beliefs and old negative patterns with healthy habits and positive affirmations.
It will help you find answers to your questions.
It will give you clarity about where you are and where you are heading.
It will help you set goals and give you the tools to pursue them.
BONUS
If single
Being single has its benefits. The energies are flowing, and there is nothing stuck or blocked. You are free to receive beautiful things at any given time.
Being single allows you to spend more time with yourself and get to know who you are.
When single, we take time off to find our inner peace while dating.
However, many single people feel alone and disappointed. They lack self-esteem and lack trust in finding the right partner.
They still have questions, and there is confusion.
Working with a coach will help you establish what did you learn from your past mistake, what you should clearly not repeat, and think about what kind of partner you desire.
If in a relationship / Marriage
When we think about relationships, we envision the perfect partnership. Unicorns and butterflies. Or in translation: unconditional love, understanding, having great sex all the time, straightforward communication, loyalty, no fights or drama. All perfectly aligned. Utopia baby.
The reality is that a relationship is not milk and honey, and it should not be. Unfortunately, relationships and/or marriages can be very imbalanced, dysfunctional, toxic, and painful. Or unlabeled. And being stuck in such a context can be draining and exhausting.
That’s when couple (or single) coaching can help.
Being aware and admitting there are issues in your partnership is the first step to having a chance to save your relationship.
Whether going through confusion, discontent, misunderstanding, lack of proper communication, not spending enough time together, or infidelity, coaching might help you a lot on this journey.
Why do I say “might .”Because, again, working with a coach is halfway. It is a lot up to you as an individual or as a couple how much you are willing to invest in your relationship
If separated
Being separated or divorced and back to the single universe looks scary. It’s actually a new start and a new chance to do great things. But you haven’t been single for a while now, and even the dating scene might look like the twilight zone.
You feel heartbroken, hurt, and alone.
Coaching will help you rediscover your lost identity, rebuild your confidence and give you hope.
Conclusion
Whether single, in a couple, married, separated or divorced, life will continuously bring us challenges we will have to deal with.
And doing this alone might be scary and overwhelming.
This is why a coach’s mission is to serve and guide you through life challenges and help you find answers to your questions, clarity, and ways to replace those limiting beliefs with healthy habits.
This is Our MISSION.
To empower men and women on their love journey. To empower humans to find themselves. To teach them how to find the love they deserve. To help them to be better, more successful, and more fulfilled.
To conquer their fears, beat obstacles and create meaningful relationships.
To be go-getters instead of being weak and finding excuses.
And as cliche as it sounds, there is light at the end of that dark tunnel. Always.
Drop me a comment or an email, and let’s talk.

Late night relationship advice on DM
Tumblr media
Instagram DM is a weird place.
A recent conversation on DM with a friend late one night progressed into a full blown critique of the sort of relationships our generation have been engaging in, how far we have fallen, how lost we are. Now considering the conversation started because I posted a meme bashing the Netflix generation for not knowing how to watch tv without a pause button, how we used to fit a bathroom, bedroom and kitchen break all in one and when our sibling would scream “IT’S BAAACCCKKK”, we would parkour over the furniture to get back in time. They know NOTHING, these weaklings. Anyway, how we got onto the topic of relationships, I still don’t know hence my first statement.
I hadn’t given the topic of romantic relationships and love much thought for a very long time; COVID, work and traveling had me so occupied that it didn’t allow for such frivolities and I was quite happy to keep it that way. I was absorbed into every other aspect of life that I became comfortable with it not holding a place within it. I relished in my own company after years of neglecting it by constantly surrounding myself with others. The solitude became addicting.
I watched my friends find partners and navigate the turbulent waters of romance without knowing that I was taking mental notes of what I want and don’t want. So when my friend asked me how I manage being single, I said I have certain expectations and I won’t settle for less (I am filled with much wisdom, thank you for noticing). She proceeded to ask me what I look for in the hopes of setting me up, bless her sweet match-making soul. “Very basic stuff which apparently is quite difficult to come by these days; someone honest, trustworthy, funny and intelligent” was my response. She wholeheartedly agreed and hit me with a hard truth that still has me reeling, “is bare minimum that hard that we have to ask for it?”
We have been led to believe that being with anyone is better than being alone so we settle for whatever little the other person has to offer. That asking for more will be asking too much, hence the rise of “situationships” and toxic relationships. Our generation is chock full of them and we have become so terrified of being unattached that we would rather put ourselves through hell than be single.
Where is the sense in that?
Relationships are supposed to complement your life, not make it difficult. A partner should be someone who respects, values and appreciates you, which is the BASIC FOUNDATION of any relationship. If you don’t have any of these things, you are insulting yourself by staying. You are dating quicksand; they will keep dragging you down, further and further and there is no bottom.
Being alone is infinitely better than being with someone who does not deserve you and treats you as if you are expendable. Do yourself a favour darling and respect yourself enough to not accept anything less than what you are worth. Know the things you want and are unwilling to compromise over, if that means you’ll be single for months or even years, it doesn’t matter. I promise you it will be worth it and you’ll thank yourself (or me) for it.
Getting into or staying in a unfulfilling relationship because you’re scared to be lonely is the same thing as going grocery shopping when you’re hungry.
Now I’m sure you’re very confused so let me explain.
You’ll be willing to buy anything that satisfies your cravings when you’re hungry and will end up spending more money than you should on things you don’t need, are extremely unhealthy and you’ll regret profoundly rather than going when you’re full and satisfied so you’ll be mindful, look for the right things, the ones you actually need and are healthy and nutritious. Do you understand now? I’m sure equating an important life decision to food shopping is unconventional but it’s also genius. Don’t grocery shop when you’re hungry and don’t get into a relationship when you’re lonely- words to live by.
Spend time getting to know yourself on a deeper level, discover what your standards and boundaries are, what you value in life and in a romantic partner. Revel in your solitude and focus on bettering yourself. You will breathe a massive sigh of relief, one that emanates from the deepest recesses of your soul and you will be cussing yourself out for not doing it sooner.
When you feel good, you attract good; this should be a law. When someone exudes self esteem, confidence and self respect, it will deter all unworthy candidates from your direction. The opposite is also true and sadly is much more common. You can radiate loneliness and desperation and like sharks smelling blood in the water, the unworthy will pounce and leave you a broken, self pitying shell. Life is too short for that nonsense, DO NOT PERMIT IT.
Don’t you think there is a reason Shakespeare wrote sonnets? That millions of songs have been written about love? That magnificent art has been inspired by since the beginning of time? You deserve that butterflies in your stomach, moony-eyed, goosebump inducing, heart melting, passionate, growing old together sort of love that poetry, music and art speak about. Don’t settle for anything less.
A huge thank you to Jaisha for giving me the inspiration to write after 4 months of silence ❤

Recently our Bible study group did a service project at our local homeless shelter, cooking them a hot meal of soup, chili, cornbread, banana bread, fruit, veggie tray and cookies. It was a humbling and moving experience and the next morning we were texting each other because we couldn’t get these precious people out of our minds.
Tears especially come as I think about a particular young man, who when he first came in said, “I haven’t eaten all day”, yet he didn’t take a lot of food. We observed that they all looked out for each other and didn’t want to take too much so they could ensure everyone had plenty to eat. However, he did come back and get a refill and right when we were done serving, he quietly came back and softly asked if he could please get a couple more cups of chili. Of course, we gladly served him up, but we wanted to give him so much more. And then all we could think about the next morning was their morning, would their story once again be, “I haven’t eaten all day?”, we realized that our work wasn’t finished and that next time we would make sure there would be breakfast for them in the morning. We did leave a few extra snacks for them, but now we wish we had brought so much more.
All of these thoughts lead me to this conclusion: we are all like this young man. We are all in the same condition. Vulnerable and not in control of our lives. We can fool ourselves into thinking that we do have control over our comfort and money and having enough food to eat, etc. We may tell ourselves that we are in control of our lives, but the true fact is that in just a moment, we could be in the same situation as this young man. Homeless and hungry in an often-cruel world, searching for warmth, comfort and food for our souls. A warm bed isn’t the answer, food in our bellies is not enough and all the comforts of the world will not satisfy us! Only Jesus!  Only the hope of eternity with Him, where there are no more hunger pains, tears and sadness. And while we are here on this earth, we will offer ourselves as servants and do things like feed the homeless, visit the lonely and comfort those who mourn and the best thing is, we really do have everything they NEED!  We can offer them our hearts and testimonies. Our friendship and love.
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Acts 3:6
We will tell them of the hope that we have and invite them to join us on this hard, challenging and beautiful journey here on earth and invite them to continue the journey with us into heaven for all eternity!
But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect. 1Peter 3:15
One last thought to ponder is that as we are serving others, are we taking proper care of ourselves? Do we eat the right foods, get the right amount of exercise and rest? Do we spend time refueling our souls in God’s Word, worship and intentional relationship with other believers?  In our Fit for the King classes, we talk a lot about feeding our souls and worshiping God through the movement of our bodies, but we don’t talk about food a lot so I want to devote another blog to that, with some simple tips of foods we can add that will help keep our physical hearts healthy and fuel our bodies well. Read now.

Being Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise
Being healthy, wealthy, and wise are three important things that can help us have a good life. Let's talk about each one in more detail.
Being healthy means taking care of our body by eating healthy foods, exercising, and getting enough sleep. Eating healthy foods means eating fruits and vegetables, and not too much junk food. Exercising means moving our body and having fun while doing it, like playing sports or going for a walk. Getting enough sleep means going to bed and waking up at the same time every day, so we can feel refreshed and ready to start the day.
Being healthy also means taking care of our feelings and being kind to others. This means being happy and not too sad or angry, and being nice to people we meet. We can talk to our parents, teachers or friends if we ever feel sad or angry, and they will help us feel better. Being kind to others means saying please and thank you, sharing our toys and being a good friend. When we are healthy in our mind and body, we feel good and can do more things.
Being wealthy means having enough money to buy what we need and save some for later. It means not spending too much and being smart with money. For example, we should save our pocket money or birthday money for something we really want, instead of spending it all right away. We can also learn how to budget our money, which means planning how we want to spend it. Being wealthy also means being able to save money for the future, like for college or buying a house.
Being wise means being smart and knowing what is right and wrong. It means learning new things and thinking before we make decisions. We can learn new things by reading books, going to school, or asking questions when we don't know something. Thinking before we make decisions means taking a moment to think about what we are going to do, and if it's the right thing to do. Being wise also means having good judgment and being able to think about the long-term consequences of our actions. We should always think about how our actions will affect others and ourselves before we do anything.
In conclusion, being healthy, wealthy, and wise are three important things that can help us have a good life. To be healthy, we need to take care of our body and our feelings. To be wealthy, we need to be smart with money and save for the future.  To be wise, we need to learn new things, think before we make decisions and have good judgment. It's important to remember that these three things are all connected, and by working on one, we can improve the others too. We should always strive to be healthy, wealthy and wise, and with a little bit of effort, we can achieve it.

What Is The Difference Between An Interior Design And An Interior Decoration?
Tumblr media
What is Interior Design?
Interior design is the art of incorporating space planning, furniture placement, color, texture, lighting, and other visual elements into a room. An Interior Designer has extensive training in these areas and can help clients make their spaces function better. In contrast, interior decorating focuses on adding objects that are visually appealing but have little impact on the functionality of the space.
Interior design refers to the art of creating spaces that are beautiful and functional. This includes everything from choosing paint colors to furniture placement and lighting.
What is Interior Decoration?
Interior decoration focuses primarily on decorating the space rather than creating the space itself. In other words, this means only changing the look of the existing space.
Why is Interior Design important?
An attractive space makes us feel safe, comfortable, and at home. The environment that surrounds us impacts our moods, emotions, and behaviors. A well-designed space can make you happier and healthier.
Interior design is about creating balance between aesthetics, functionality, and comfort. Good Interior Design enhances the appeal of your home while making sure it has everything you need. It’s about giving people what they want without over complicating things.
Interior design is not just about decorating rooms but also about creating a healthy and productive environment for everyone who lives in your home.
When we spend time in a beautiful place, we tend to relax and enjoy ourselves. We become less stressed and have positive thoughts.
Designing spaces are an important way to create happiness in our homes. They help us live in harmony with nature and each other.
If you’re going to invest money into something, investing in your Interior Design is one of the best investments you can make. You’ll get long term satisfaction from having a house that feels good inside and out.
What services can I expect from an end-to-end Interior Designing Company?
You can expect Home, Kitchen, Bedroom, Living Room, Apartment, Villa, Restaurant, Hotel, Shopping Mall, Retail Shops Interior Design Services etc from HCD DREAM Interior Solutions in Bangalore.
Designing your home can be a daunting task, especially if you are not familiar with the design industry. Whether you want to redesign your current space or build a completely new house, you need someone who knows how to create spaces that are functional, beautiful, and practical. An Interior Designer is trained to take your vision and turn it into reality through their creative skills and expertise.
Interior designers are experts at creating beautiful spaces that are functional and comfortable. They understand the importance of light and ventilation, and know how to incorporate these elements into a room. They also have extensive knowledge about materials and color palettes that are appropriate for different environments.
When it comes to building a new space, an Interior Designer has many talents that they use to make your dream come true. They work closely with architects and contractors to ensure that everything is built according to your specifications. They also help to coordinate the project with other professionals like painters, plumbers, electricians, and more.
If you want to remodel your existing space, an Interior Designer can help you find ways to maximize its potential. They can advise you on what to do with old furniture and appliances, and can even help you sell them. They can also help you choose new pieces that fit the style and feel of your home.
In addition to helping you plan and execute projects, an Interior Designer can also provide ongoing consultation throughout the entire process. This way you don’t have to worry about anything once the job is complete. You’ll always have someone to ask questions, give advice, and offer solutions to any problems that may arise.
There are many benefits to hiring an Interior Designer to work on your projects. Not only will you get professional assistance, but you will also save time and money. By providing a single point of contact, you won’t have to deal with multiple tradespeople and vendors. They can handle all the back and forth communication between you and each contractor, saving you time and hassle.
Conclusion about Interior Design Services
The Interior Design services are a type of service that can be provided by the professional designers. When planning to buy a home, it is always advisable to hire an Interior Designer to help you choose furniture and accessories that compliment your style and taste. While choosing a room color scheme, you need to consider the mood that you want your space to create. The right colors can make your house look lively while others like neutral shades can give it a calming effect. You should also take into consideration the lighting fixtures. A well-lit space gives off a relaxing atmosphere while poorly lit rooms tend to feel gloomy.

5 Burning Questions Before Starting Your Video Production
Do you remember a day when you didn’t watch any video?
Yeah, no one has been able to successfully remember any such day from their recent past. Videos have well and truly established themselves as an integral part of our lives. So, naturally Video Production takes the centre stage as we go towards an ultra-digital age of the human race
It does not matter whether you are an individual who wants to establish your own brand or a business that wants to promote a new product that was launched last week, if you are looking to put yourself out there then videos are the way to go.
I won’t go on and on about all the percentages of numerous groups that proves that videos work more than any other form of content. It's 2022 and we all have seen the power of videos and most of us know that if done properly, videos will get the job done for you.
Let’s get right into it then.
Who will watch this video?
Don’t even go to the next question if you are not able to answer this one. You HAVE to know who will watch the video for which you are spending your time and money, and how this video is going to add value to their lives. Don’t waste your resources on fancy equipment and high-profile influencers if you are not sure about your audience
How can you extract the best out of social media platforms?
Nowadays social media provides a whole spectrum of choices, from 15 seconds to 15 Hours, your video content may have this wide range of flexibility.Different platforms can be used at different points in the journey of your product, from product announcement to final review of the product
For Example
A product launch can be announced on the company’s Twitter Handle, further buzz about the product can be created by using subsequent Twitter, Facebook and Instagram posts.
Then, when the launch date is getting closer a Short and Crisp Insta Story could be used to tease the product to your audience.
The actual product launch can be live streamed on almost all of these platforms
After launch the popularity of influencers and reviewers can be leveraged through Instagram,Tik-Tok and YouTube, by the way having a mind-blowing product is always a plus.
These days influencers can be seen dancing on the latest tunes with the signature steps of some newly released song, this is mostly intentional moment marketing from the producers to popularize their songs even more
Right now, company culture is the next big thing for corporate firms, with millennials looking for companies with diverse and progressive culture and why working there is a great career choice. Successful culture videos tell honest stories that highlight company’s inspirational mission and personal statement; it also showcases how company develops a healthy balance between work and personal life without undermining productivity.
If you still don’t believe that different platforms can be used differently to produce the best results then please go through the case study of 5 companies using social media here in this extensive blog.
If you are a business then What business problem will this video solve?
This question helps you with budgeting the video appropriately. The money spent should be proportional to the size of the problem that your video is solving
Even as producers we ask ourselves this question whenever we are making a video for our partners. How will the video help in getting more business, sales, clicks etcetera etcetera??
How to choose a Video Production House?
You don’t need the best video production house in the country in order to get started with your video production, you just need a Creative set of Genuine folks who will not drown you with “filmmaking” jargons and false promises of giving you a viral product.
Choosing an apt production house, whose creativity, philosophy and work ethics aligns with your brand is the best way to go.
Trying my best not to sound biased, but Content Studio is considered one such Video Production House in Delhi NCR. We go that extra mile for you and try our best to give an amazing experience to anyone coming to us whether for a small virtual product launch or a short crisp 1 minute Instagram Story video.
What to do after you have the video?
Post, Promote and Analyze
Even the great Christopher Nolan is looking for the equal budget for producing his movie and marketing of the movie. And Yes, the budget is a whopping 100 Million USD just for marketing and promotion
The point here is that if you have honestly tried making a meaningful piece of content then there is no harm or shame in promoting that content so that it could reach an even larger audience.
Once you have given your video a fair chance to run its course, sit back and observe all the data to see what went right or wrong. Get rid of the mistakes and consolidate on what clicked.
Conclusion
Starting something may seem like a daunting task, and starting out all alone can seem even more daunting to the extent that you might never get started with the video you had in your mind.
That’s where Content Studio comes in to help you get started with your video production journey. We have amazing editors, a spacious and perfectly insulated green chroma studio with all the equipment necessary to give you an incredible video.

🍉Astro Observations🍉
Hello everyone! Hope you’re doing great and feeling positive. I decided to write observations because I got a lot to do and I need a distraction 😅✌️. So, without further a-due here are my observations
(These may or may not apply to you, please keep an open mind and take it as entertainment rather than life changing facts. Please credit me if you’re going to use my work, or ask me beforehand.)
Tumblr media
🍉People with Earth Mars or/and an Earth sign in the 1st or 6th house have very healthy and strong bodies
🍉Even though Pisces, Neptune and the 12th house is associated alot with dreams, Scorpio, Mars, Pluto and the 8th house can tell us about our nightmares and the theme of our dreams. (EX. I have a Scorpio Mars in the 9th house Sagittarius, which Chiron resides in as well, empty Virgo 8th house, Pluto in 10th house Scorpio, which Lilith also resides in Scorpio. Because of the high concentration of Scorpio and Virgo residing in the 8th my dreams have always been very vivd, chronological, and all in all a world of it self that I developed since childhood, as far as I can remember. I rarely get awakened by nightmares as well. Because of Mars in the 9th house alot in dreams I am either looking for something or on a journey to some place.)
🍉The houses where we have Taurus and Libra is what we’re envied for, while those ruled by Scorpio and Aries is what we envy in others and desire to be.
🍉The aspects Between Jupiter and other planets can tell us how friendly, open, stiff, fun loving, uptight and mean we’re. The more Squares the meaner a person may be, the more opposites with Jupiter would make the person paradoxical or “fake”. While Trine gives a more of a fun and carefree personality and conjunctions indicates being a “down ass bitch”.
🍉People can help us, influence us or teach us something regarding the house their Sun and Moon resides in our chart. (EX. If you have Cancer in the 2nd house, Cancer Sun, Moon and dominant can help you with your finances, spending habits and better your relationship with money and vices. This can either be in a friendly advice, leading by example, or you falling for a scheme they did but you’ll ultimately learn nevertheless.)
🍉I have noticed people with Air Venus have a salad taste in music. They would listen to slow music, very emotional and heart hitting then it is followed by an earth shattering EDM track, having a rave on their own.
🍉Staying on the topic of music, I noticed the sign of the 3rd house and the planets residing there effect what we seek in music alot. (EX. Me and my sister both have Fire signs over the 3rd house, so we prefer to listen to something upbeat, however, I have Sun, Mercury, Saturn and Jupiter there so music to me should be meaningful beyond belief, and great in everything from vocal, melody, writing and production. She on the other hand has Mars there and all she cares about is a good beat on the track.)
🍉Although Fire signs are viewed as very competitive, which they’re, it is rarely talked about how competitive Earth signs can be. They are as, if not more, competitive, the difference is that they’re more quiet about it.
🍉I never understood why people say that Scorpios are mysterious, dangerous, ominous sex driven demon spawns. I never met one and felt that in any way. I think they just read a room and people so closely and thoroughly that they might give a death stare here and there.
🍉I noticed that where we have Neptune we get a positive illusion from ourselves or others, while Pluto is where people get misconceptions and take negative first impressions from us. (EX. Someone with Neptune in the 7th house and Pluto in the 4th house might be subject to being slut shamed based on the illusion that their many relationships and beauty (Neptune in 7th) makes them easy, have family issues or are home wrecker (Pluto in 4th)
Tumblr media
🍉People with Moon or Venus in “Fatherly” houses (9th and 10th) may have mothers who took on the role of the father as well.
🍉Venus in opposition or Square to Mars/Saturn/Pluto will have a hard time finding the right relationship or a healthy one.
🍉Even though Taurus and Libra are Venusian siblings and their opposites are Aries and Scorpio, the Martian siblings, each sign fits with others opposite. Taurus and Aries share natural and rawness in their energy, Taurus is the natural and effortless beauty and Aries is the natural warrior and leader. Both come as they are.
🍉Scorpio and Libra, on the other hand, are known for deception and putting up a facade. However, they’re also more logical thinkers and diplomatic begins, which make them more likable and capable in comparison.
🍉Mars in Leo are strong willed and capable but that lion can be tamed with love. As powerful as they can be, their weakness lies within their heart, as love and loyalty hold them back. This can be negative, as they will be pushovers for those they love, as well as, fight others battles, making them prone to getting used by others.
🍉Saturn can be a tough teacher but if you learn the lessons and convert it’s energy to your advantage you’ll basically become unstoppable.
🍉With that being said, I find it to be particularly difficult in social houses (3rd, 7th, 11th) It creates a wedge and a block between the native and their peers. This can be either as they cannot express themselves, are misunderstood, and/or alienated by others.
🍉The season of the sign over the house your Moon resides in can be very difficult or a period of many emotional roller coasters. Also, where does it hit the most.(Ex. I have my moon in the 11th house and let me tell you, February have been the month of some of the worst and best things to happen in my life. Many friends I have lost and met in February/Aquarius season)
🍉 The degree of that house can also indicate the general feel or emotion you’ll run through in that season.
🍉Someone asked me about my “page chart” which I got very confused over. I don’t know where they got the idea but I didn’t think it was worth a whole post but here is the chart of Zodiacrant (the page):
Made on October 17th 2018
Sun: Libra
Moon: Aquarius
Mercury: Scorpio
Venus: Scorpio
Mars: Aquarius
ASC: Cancer
MC: Aries
I hope it is of any use to the anon and any of you 😅.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed the observations. Please let me know your opinions and thoughts, share with us your own observations and rants.
Love you ❤️.

Settling In: Parentals
Inspired by @i-cant-sing and their Yandere Todoroki Clan AU
The room is pink. Well, it’s mostly pink. It’s pink with white furniture and embellishments. The closet doors are white and so is the windowsill. The floor is hardwood brown. But everything else is a bubblegum pink.
You’d prefer another color, one that wasn’t so bright and grating to the eyes. But you don’t say that. You just fiddle with your one dufflebag’s handle. This is all you have left, after bouncing around from group home to group home. A year ago—when your parents died—you had thrice as much. Now this and the backpack for schoolwork is all you have left.
“Do you like it?” The mother of this house and wife to the current number one hero, asks you a question. He’s not here; nobody’s here except you two. The house seems too big for three people, but there are pictures on the wall of others. It doesn’t look lived in; there is no semblance of a family. Though, the pictures on the wall show a six person family. It shows that there are four more people here and you get your own room. In a house with now seven people, you get your own room and you aren’t giving it up.
Despite the pink color and the vast emptiness, you answer honestly, “Yeah, I do.” You do like it, even if it's not for the right reasons
Her hands are on your shoulder. You can feel the increased pressure on one side lift up, almost as if she’d been purposefully holding onto you too tight.
“Good. Now, let’s unpack.” She gracefully takes the bag out of your hand, setting it atop the bed. You sit down alongside it, opening your backpack. A couple of notebooks, pencils, and two textbooks sit inside.
You start to stand, heading to take the materials to the desk they’ve provided. Though, whilst holding a pair of pajamas—slightly too little but in [y/f/c]—she takes the books out of your hand.
“Just relax, [Y/N].” Rei replies, “Let me handle it.”
You sit on the bed twiddling with your blouse’s edge. You wore your best outfit, even though it was just your school uniform, without the frumpy sweater.
The bed is insanely soft. With satin sheets, a thick, fluffy comforter, and a healthy amount of pillows, it's easily the softest place you’ve been.
“I’ll have a driver return your school books back to your former school.” Rei replies, on the other side of the room. You shift to look at her, but she has her back turned to you. “I’ll discuss with my husband what school to place you at.”
“Alright.” You’ve had to transfer schools about three times since last year. Moving again isn’t a hassle anymore. You know not to hope you won’t move again. Though. you know not to get attached to anything in case you have to—in case this doesn’t work out.
“We’ll get you a better education than the one you were definitely receiving.” You can hear the gentle thump of one of your textbooks. She heads back to your duffle bag; it’s now half empty. “My eldest three all went to Somei Private Academy for junior high. Two ended up continuing through highschool as well. My eldest went to Shiketsu and my youngest is in Yuuei now.”
You know those schools. They’re expensive, private academies. You’ve only ever been in public schools. The wealth was obvious when you were picked up in a blackened car with a driver. You just didn’t expect them to spend that money on you, a lowly orphan.
“Or we’ll just hire a set of tutors like we did for our youngest before he went to Yuuei.” She decides what to hang up or fold. You’ll have to go through it all later to find everything. Luckily, you don’t own much—or unluckily, depends on how you look at it. But you don’t dwell on the issue long, responding quickly to the lady, “Alright.”
She smiles at you. It’s sincere, motherly. It’s what your mother would’ve done, before the accident. It’s something you sorely missed since then.
“You’re extremely agreeable, aren’t you?” She finishes out the bag, pressing it into the top of your closet. Your backpack gets sat beside the desk. This room is large and your things are set in its appropriate places across from it.
“I guess.”
“That’s a good thing, darling.” She goes to mess with your hair, “Now, for dinner tonight, let's change you into something a bit nicer, yes?”
You pause, looking at your toes in their pristine white socks. You can see her legs as well, considering how close she is to you, “This is the nicest thing I own.”
“That’s fine. We’ll just have to go shopping for some new things.” Rei replies, taking her other hand to your chin, forcing you to look her in the eyes, “Enji and I know what we are getting ourselves into, buying you a whole new wardrobe will be nothing.”
She takes her hands from your head and into your hands, helping you up.
“Where are we going?” She leads you back from your room to the rest of the house.
“Shopping, darling.” Rei replies, “We have five hours to do so, before I must start dinner, that is. Is there anything you want?”
“No, not really.” She’s already planning to drop a substantial amount of money on you and she’s already being incredibly maternal. You aren’t going to stretch that patience thin and have her snap already. You aren’t going to ruin this for yourself.
She smiles at you, “I’ll figure out what you like soon enough.”
===
The shopping mall standing in front of you was not where you usually would’ve gone. A basic department store, maybe a strip mall if you’re lucky would be where you usually shopped. This place however, is at least four stories high standing stark white and black against the almost colorless blue-grey sky. Though, you don’t get to admire it long. Rei quickly pulls you out of the cold outdoors and into the perfectly heated building.
“Now, I say we head to clothing stores first and then to more home goods type stores, so we don’t have to pack the heavy stuff around. Though, if we get too much to carry, we can send it back to the car and then continue shopping.” Rei replies, “Is that alright?”
You nod, still reluctantly going along this whole situation. The car is actually a limo and you have your own room in a massive estate. You have an impossibly nice and maternal caretaker who’s insanely rich. This is your “Annie” moment; this is your fairytale scenario. The shoe has to drop at some point. You aren’t going to be blindsided when it does.
“Good.” She locks arms with you, holding you close. It’s weird, but not entirely uncomfortable. You want to trust her. Your sense of judgement is clouded, knowing that she can’t really be this nice, but you want her to be like this
She leads you into a clothing store, taking you to the brightly colored section. Rei silently holds a peach colored sweater up to you. She grabs an orange skirt, looking at them both together.
“What do you think of this?” She asks, holding them up together. The sweater is thick,
assumedly warm. The skirt however, isn’t,. You tell her that.
“That’s what some white stockings are for [y/n].” She laughs lightly, “and please call me Rei. You don’t have to be so formal.”
“Alright... Rei.” Acclimating to her is easy. At the moment, you don’t care what the rest of her family is like, she’s nice and maternal and everything you miss from your own mother.
She grabs multiple sweater and skirt combinations, not grabbing a single pair of pants for you. This store doesn’t sell tee shirts or blouses, sticking to a younger, but put together catalog. You briefly entertain the idea of them being traditionalists, but you don’t mind that. You’ve lived in worse houses than one with conservative ideals.
And besides, the outfits are cute. You hope you can keep them if everything goes south.
“Put these on.” She hands you the clothing, “and I want to see every outfit you try on. I want to see if it looks good.”
The fitting rooms are nicer than any you’ve ever been to. When checking the price of the items she’s handed to you, you can see why. The least expensive thing is a 10,000 yen skirt. It’s plain blue, just like the 1,500 yen one you have on now. It's obviously of higher quality, but guilt pangs in your chest at the thought of her spending so much money on you. This is at least a dozen items in here.
You slip it on, alongside the white sweater, filled with gold stars. You look at yourself in the mirror, before heading out the door. Rei sits in a chair, looking at you.
“You look absolutely adorable.” Rei comments, “We’re keeping it.”
She doesn’t let you put your input in. But she’s paying for it, so you don’t complain.
Five more times, you come out in sweater and skirt combinations. She has nothing but praise for each outfit. It’s refreshing. Your last home was less than pleasant.
Rei leaves you to change back into your uniform. All six outfits are bought and placed into two bags, both on her arm away from you. She wraps her other arm into the crook of your arm.
“Onto the next store we go.”
As you all head to a different floor of the mall, you voice concerns you originally had back in the dressing room, “You know… you don’t have to spend so much money on me.” You tell her, then backtrack, “Not that I’m not grateful! I am really! It’s just that I don’t need stuff this fancy, you know?”
“[Y/N], I am your mother now. It’s my duty to get you clothes and stuff.” She says it with a certainty that is oddly comforting. Everything about her is that way, from her soft, smooth skin to her warm, grey eyes to her bright, white smile. She’s intensely maternal, something that you didn’t realize you wanted anymore, until today, “and we must keep you up to the Todoroki standard. After all, you’re going to be one of us for now on.”
Being one of them. You don’t know of any Todorokis; you’ve never been a huge fan of heroes like some of your peers. But belonging, that’s something you’ve craved since it was ripped away from you. A family—that’s what you’ve always wanted.
“All right.”
“Chin up, shoulders back.” She tells you, “You’re new life begins tonight.”
===
Rei never let you carry a single bag throughout your trip. She also wouldn’t let you see any of the receipts or let you have a final word on anything you got. But, you got all nice things—all things you like. So, you don’t mind.
“Change into the white dress with the red and pink roses.” She instructs, “And redo your hair. First impressions are important, after all.”
You haven’t met her husband, nor any of her children. But, as the pictures on the wall show, her husband is Endeavor, the number one hero. Usually you’d meet the person fostering you beforehand, but with his affluence, there needed to be no meetings beforehand.
Following her instructions, you rifle through the bags, finding the dress she wanted you to wear. Slipping out of your old clothes and into the cold, expensive dress is a quick process. Doing your hair to a standard that would make her proud, is not. Eventually you get it right.
Unlike earlier, you take the time to unbag your stuff. You mimic what Rei did in your closet. Shirts, sweaters and dresses are hung up. Skirts, leggings, and stockings are folded in the dresser. The shoes are placed on the inside of your closet. The few decorations you got are placed so that they don’t move what Rei and her husband already got you. She’s extremely peculiar about order. You won’t break that order.
“[Y/N].” She knocks on the door that doesn’t lock, “What’s taking you so long. Do you need help?”
You open the door for her, “I was just putting everything away, Rei.”
She comes in, looking at the room. She pulls the draws out and reopens the closet door, looking inside them. It’s an inspection, to see if everything is up to code.
Rei pinches your cheek, “ It’s perfect, exactly how I imagined it.”
Perfect. She’s praising your work. The word warms your heart, bringing a smile to your face. You haven’t gotten enough praise in your life, clearly.
“Thank you.”
“Now come on.” She tugs at your wrist, “Enji will be here any moment and I need help plating the table. Usually Fuyumi would do it, but you’ll meet my other children at a later date. Tonight is just about you, me, and Enji.”
“Alright.” Relief settles from your scrunched up soldiers. You only have to meet one new person, not five like you assumed. One person is better than five people—even if he is the #1 Hero.
You’re led back through the sitting room and into the dining room. It’s nice, well lit. It’s low to the ground and cushioned. You’ve expected this from this house. Every room besides your own is extremely traditional. You expected the whole house to be like this, once you walked through the doors.
“The plates and cups are in the left cabinet, do be careful with them.” Rei points to a side room, at the back of the dining room, “I’ll bring in the cutlery. Enji should be here soon.”
As if on cue, you hear the front door being opened. A low voice calls out, “Rei, darling? [Y/N]?”
You freeze, plates and cups in hand. Something about the number one hero calling out of your name unsettles you. Though, somehow immediately aware of your apprehension, Rei places a cold hand against your back. You can feel it through the dress, which isn’t surprising, considering how thin it is.
“We’re in the dining room, honey.” Rei takes the plates and cups from your hands, placing them down and simultaneously leading you to your seat. You sit, legs together and bent to the side. You sit currently in the seat to the left of the table’s end.
The number one hero—Rei’s husband—kisses her cheek. He towers over her. She was waiting for him at the entrance. You try not to make any noise; you try not to interrupt them.
She heads to the seat across from you, leaving Endeavor to sit at the head of the table. You aren’t surprised; this family gives of very traditional vibes. He radiates heat to your right, still aflame, showing off his powerful quirk.
The food is already on the table. It’s more than enough for the three people here, possibly more than enough for the six people in the photos—plus yourself. You make your own plate, only getting what you know you’ll eat. You don’t want to take too much, you don’t want to be greedy.
“Make sure you actually get full, [Y/N].” Rei smiles at you. It’s warm and soft.
“I am, Miss.” You can feel Endeavor staring at you, but you don’t look at him. You shift your head down, looking at the plate in front of you. You don’t grab more; you don’t want to ruin their hospitality with your selfishness.
Rei and Endeavor talk to themselves, mostly about work. They occasionally talk about three other people—Shoto, Fuyumi, and Natsuo. There are four children in the photos on the wall; it’s a family of six. Though, you don’t ask about the unnamed child, it isn’t your place to do so.
You finish your food fairly quickly, but so do the other two. You look up at Endeavor for the first time tonight, asking, “Can I be excused, sir.”
“No.” He replies, “We have things to discuss.”
“Oh… alright.” You fiddle with the hem of your dress underneath the table, “What do you want to discuss, sir?”
“I’ll take the dirty dishes and excess food.” Rei smiles at you, “You’ll be fine, [Y/N]. Pass me your plate.”
Endeavor waits for Rei to leave to start talking. You are acutely aware of how hot it is now, without Rei’s cooling, calming effect.
“How was your day today?” He starts the conversation off decently well. You look him in the eye, “Good.” You were taught manners growing up; you know how to hold a conversation, no matter how intimidating the person you’re talking to is.
“That is a pretty dress on you, [Y/N].”
“Thank you.”
“Now then. While you are here, there shall be rules you will follow. Rei and I have devised a fair list and she’ll go over them with you extensively in the morning.” He tells you, “Though, the ones concerning you tonight are: no technology post-dinner and that you shall be in bed by ten o’clock. Rei shall wake you up at seven am tomorrow.”
“Alright.” Those aren’t too harsh rules; other homes have had worst lists. Though, you won’t make a final decision on that until tomorrow. You tentatively ask another question, “Uhhh, sir. Rei mentioned other children. If you don’t mind me asking, where are they?”
“Shoto goes to U.A. They have dorms now and are forced to stay there. Fuyumi and Natsuo have since moved out, but visit occasionally. You’ll meet them when it is appropriate.” Endeavor tells you, “And [Y/N], call me Enji. You are now dismissed.”
“Alright, Enji.” As you stand to leave, you use his name, “Thank you.”

Lets talk: chakras!
in this post, we'll talk about chakras! what they are, why its important to keep them balanced and how they can aid/hinder our spiritual journey.
FAQs |
I. what even are chakras? Chakras points of energy throughout the body where the physical and higher selves meet.
II. what do they do? each chakra corresponds to massive nerve centers and major organs in the body. each of the 7 chakras also contains our spiritual states of being.
INTRODUCTION |
so what ARE the 7 chakras? glad you asked! let's break them down, one by one, because in order to begin to unblock or even open our chakras, we need to understand them throughly.
before we begin, let's do a little meditation lesson. lie down on a comfortable, flat surface. now, using your pendulum, hover over each of your chakra points — if the pendulum moves with the flow of the position of your body, the chakra is open. but if it does not move, it is blocked.
now, this comes with a grain of salt because while it can be a useful simple way to check the chakras, it cannot be the only way you check them.
SEVEN CHAKRAS |
Tumblr media
1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)
The root chakra represents our foundation. On the human body, it sits at the base of the spine and gives us the feeling of being grounded. When the root chakra is open, we feel confident in our ability to withstand challenges and stand on our own two feet. When it's blocked, we feel threatened, as if we're standing on unstable ground.
Location: Base of spine, in tailbone area
What it controls: Survival issues such as financial independence, money, and food
Mantra: "I can't grow from an unsteady foundation."
Color: Red
Element: Earth
Stone: Hematite
2. Sacral Chakra (Swadhisthana)
The sacral chakra helps inform how we relate to our emotions and the emotions of others. It also governs creativity and sexual energy. Those with a blocked sacral chakra could feel a lack of control in their lives.
Location: Lower abdomen, about 2 inches below the navel
What it controls: Your sense of abundance, well-being, pleasure, and sexuality
Mantra: "I always honor others but not before myself."
Color: Orange
Element: Water
Stone: Tiger's Eye
3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)
The third chakra, the solar plexus chakra, speaks to your ability to be confident and in control of your life. Think back to the last time you had butterflies or felt a pit in the stomach: That's the Manipura chakra at work. If your solar plexus chakra is blocked, you might feel overwhelming amounts of shame and self-doubt. Those with open sacral chakras are free to express their true selves.
Location: Upper abdomen in the stomach area
What it controls: Self-worth, self-confidence, and self-esteem
Mantra: "Self-love starts when I accept all parts of myself."
Color: Yellow
Element: Fire
Stone: Amber
4. Heart Chakra (Anahata)
The heart chakra is the bridge between the lower chakras (associated with materiality) and the upper chakras (associated with spirituality). As the name suggests, this chakra can influence our ability to give and receive love—from others and ourselves. Someone with a blocked heart chakra will have difficulty fully opening up to the people in their life. If someone's heart is open, they can experience deep compassion and empathy.
Location: Center of chest, just above the heart
What it controls: Love, joy, and inner peace
Mantra: "When I love myself, loving others comes easily."
Color: Green
Element: Air
Stone: Rose Quartz
5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)
The throat chakra gives voice to the heart chakra and controls our ability to communicate our personal power. When it's functioning at full capacity, it allows us to express ourselves truly and clearly. Someone with a blocked throat chakra will feel like they have trouble finding the words to say how they truly feel.
Location: Throat
What it controls: Communication, self-expression, and truth
Mantra: "I speak my truth, always."
Color: Light Blue/Turquoise
Element: Sound/Music
Stone: Aquamarine
6. Third-Eye Chakra (Ajna)
As we move up the body, we're getting closer to communion with the divine. The third-eye chakra controls our ability to see the big picture and connect to intuition. Think of it as the eye of the soul: It registers information beyond the surface level. Visions and intuitive hits are not uncommon for someone with an open third-eye chakra.
Location: Forehead between the eyes (also called the Brow Chakra)
What it controls: Intuition, imagination, and wisdom
Mantra: "I am open to exploring what cannot be seen."
Color: Dark Blue/Purple
Element: Light
Stone: Amethyst
7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)
The crown chakra, the highest chakra, sits at the crown of the head and represents our ability to be fully connected spiritually. When you fully open your crown chakra—something very few people ever do!—you're able to access a higher consciousness.
Location: The very top of the head
What it controls: Inner and outer beauty, spiritual connection
Lesson: "I am a vessel for love and light."
Color: Violet/White
Element: Divine Consciousness
Stone: Clear quartz
BLOCKED/OPEN |
now that we have a better understanding of the chakras, what they do and more important where they are, we can talk about the reasons we might have blocks, and the things we can do to reopen those blocks and therefore progress in our spiritual journies.
i read a book about charkas a while ago, and then i feel it explains the reasons better than i could, here is an excerpt from that book.
"A blocked chakra means energy is stuck or hindered. You might think of it as a blocked artery. In order for energy and information to flow, the channels through which they flow must be open. You will have difficulty getting to work on time if the roads are blocked by traffic. In the same way, the chakras cannot work at optimal levels when the pathways have blockages. These blockages can be physical, emotional or psychological, spiritual, karmic, or energetic.
The blocks can be physical, in the literal sense, such as fatty deposits in the arteries, a tumor, a cyst, or excess waste. We can create blockages in the physical body through poor dietary choices, lack of exercise, overexertion, and lifestyle choices such as overwork, drug use, or lack of sleep.
Blocks in the chakras can also be emotional or psychological, such as stored emotions from the past or mental illness such as anxiety, depression, or addiction. We accumulate emotional toxins and residue from not properly processing and digesting emotions and experiences. These toxins result in blocking the energy flow of the chakras.
Blocks can be spiritual in nature. They can come from outside spiritual forces or from within. If we refuse to honor the spiritual side of who we are, we block the higher chakras. Being spiritually rigid and strict can also restrict the flow of energy. Remember, whether the forces are external or internal, without your conscious awareness they can create harm.
Blockages can also come from our karma. The word karma in Sanskrit literally means “action.” In life we perform actions that are good or nourishing, bad or harmful, or neutral. An example of a good action might be giving money to charity. A bad action might be intentionally lying or deceiving. A neutral action might be making the bed (which, if you dig deeper, can also be considered a good action, depending on the circumstances). In the East, certain religions and philosophies adhere to the principle that we accumulate karma throughout lifetimes, and we carry it forth into our current life. The definition of karma, in this sense, assumes a belief in reincarnation and asserts that karma is not simply the action performed but also the consequences of that action. Good karma carried forward can give us favor in our current lifetime. Bad karma is a debt we must repay in this or future lifetimes.
Finally, the blocks can be energetic. I explained a little about energetic blockages when I spoke about my astrological chart. We are a part of this earth, our solar system, and the universe. The influence of the earth’s energy and elements, as well as of the energy of the sun, moon, and planets in our solar system, is strong and undeniable. Ayurveda, the five-thousand-year-old medical system from India, recognizes these energetic forces and acknowledges them as a means of healing. You can learn more about Ayurveda by reading my book The Wheel of Healing with Ayurveda: An Easy Guide to a Healthy Lifestyle. Ayurveda works on the principles of the five elements — space, air, fire, water, and earth — which work together to create the three doshas, or mind-body types, of Vata (space and air), Pitta (fire and water), and Kapha (water and earth). These elements and mind-body types are relevant in recognizing energetic blocks within your body and the chakras. This awareness will give you more tools toward your healing of the chakras and provide a superspeed highway to creating energy flow." — CHAKRA HEALING FOR VIBRANT ENERGY by Michelle S. Fondin.
so how do we unblock them then? well, its more complicated than can be explained in a single tumblr post, but i will tell you how to get the energies moving whilst you work through the blocks and figure them out.
we need to understand, that we are all different, and our spiritual journies will all be different. the same goes for things like chakras.
1st Chakra (Root)
Element: The root chakra is associated with earth, so walking barefoot in the sand, grass, or dirt can be beneficial. Any time spent in nature is helpful for this chakra.
Nutrition: Eat healthy red foods like tomatoes, beets, berries, and apples.
Wear and Decorate: Use accents of red and wear red jewelry, clothing, or shoes.
Sound: lam
2nd Chakra (Sacral)
Element: The sacral chakra is associated with water, which means swimming or spending time by bodies of water like lakes and oceans is beneficial.
Nutrition: Eat orange foods like carrots, oranges, melons, or mangoes.
Wear and Decorate: Surround yourself with orange accessories or tones.
Sound: vam
3rd Chakra (Solar Plexus)
Element: The solar plexus chakra is associated with the element of fire, so enjoy sitting around a bonfire or soak up bright sunlight.
Nutrition: Eat yellow foods like bananas, ginger, turmeric, pineapple, and corn.
Wear and Decorate: Wearing yellow clothing, jewelry, and accessories would be beneficial.
Sound: ram
4th Chakra (Heart)
Elements: The heart chakra is associated with air, so breathing deeply will help to clear the energy at this level. Drive with the windows open, fly a kite, or take a boat ride.
Nutrition: Eat green foods including broccoli, avocado, and leafy greens like kale or spinach.
Wear and Decorate: Accent your life with all shades of green.
Sound: yum
5th Chakra (Throat)
Element: The throat chakra is associated with ether (similar to spirit), so sitting in an open space under a clear sky is a fabulous way to get this energy flowing appropriately.
Nutrition: Eat blue foods like blueberries, currants, dragon fruit, and kelp.
Wear and Decorate: Use all blue tones.
Sound: ham
6th Chakra (Third Eye)
Element: The third eye chakra is associated with light. To balance and open this chakra, sit in stillness in the sunlight or relax in a window as the sun pours in.
Nutrition: Eat indigo foods including purple kale, grapes, and blackberries.
Wear and Decorate: Wearing indigo clothing or jewelry and decorating with accents of this color will be useful.
Sound: sham
7th Chakra (Crown)
Element: The crown chakra is affiliated with all the elements, so connecting with your wholeness rather than a single element is the recommended practice. Spend time in meditation, chanting, or prayer.
Nutrition: At this level, the nutrition is no longer for the physical body. This chakra is not nourished with food, but with spiritual practices. Practice self-reflection and curiosity.
Wear and Decorate: Wearing violet clothing or jewelry and decorating with accents of this color will be useful.
Sound: om
CONCLUSION |
hopefully you all understand chakras a bit better now! but, if any questions are to come up that you can't seem to find an answer to, my ask box is always open! (like my chakras).

---
Geralt looked up from his mug of ale when he realized that Jaskier had stopped playing. Instead, the bard was chatting merrily away with a tall, broad-shouldered man in a dark cloak. The hood obscured most of the stranger’s face but Geralt caught the reflective glint of a bead or piece of metal braided into his matted black hair. An instinct tickled at the back of the Witcher’s head but Geralt couldn’t quite place the feeling. Something was wrong about this little tableau but he couldn’t figure out what it was; his medallion wasn’t reacting to anything in particular and Jaskier seemed perfectly happy, lost in conversation with the dark-haired man.
Geralt returned his gaze to his mug and let his mind wander.
Jaskier did seem perfectly happy to be without him on nights like these, when they were back in civilization and the extroverted bard could branch out and meet new people. That was the problem, in Geralt’s opinion.
Lately the Witcher had found himself contemplating what life would be like on the Path if he decided to travel alone again. Winter wasn’t close enough for him to excuse himself and go North, but he’d developed a strange and uncomfortable dependence on the bard that he needed to be weaned away from. It wasn’t healthy for either of them.
It wasn’t safe.
If he grew too close to Jaskier, then…
Wouldn’t that be a weakness? Wouldn’t that be a vulnerability and a dangerous closeness? Geralt couldn’t risk forming a connection like that. He couldn’t allow himself to hope for something so organic and pure to develop between a half-monster and a youthful, bright-eyed bard; Witchers weren’t meant to get nice things. That was not his lot in life.
And yet…
Some mornings, when he only barely cracked his eyes open and used his heightened senses to peek across their campsite, he saw Jaskier looking back at him, a curious glint in those pretty blue irises. Geralt couldn’t pinpoint the emotion the bard’s face held; he was bad at that, and the uncertainty of the younger man’s feelings scared him. He could handle rejection, but acceptance? If Jaskier was as loving and openminded as Geralt thought him to be, it could prove to be a problem. Jaskier was too good for a Witcher. He didn’t deserve to be trapped by a life on the Path, dying too young because he was foolhardy and quick to fall in love.
The Witcher’s introspection came to an abrupt halt when the Jaskier in question appeared beside him, flushed and grinning. “Geralt, dear heart, are you ready to retire for the evening?”
“Are you asking me to bed?” the Witcher smirked, smothering the very real ache in his chest at the thought of curling up next to Jaskier like that. “Or do you need to borrow our room to entertain a guest?”
“Oh, no, I have no plans of that nature.” Jaskier’s already pink face darkened a shade and Geralt’s stomach flipped. “I’m actually rather tired. I was hoping to get some decent sleep tonight before we flung ourselves back into nature tomorrow.”
“Hmm. I’ll be along shortly. Don’t wait up.”
“See you in a bit then, dear heart.”
And Jaskier disappeared up the stairs.
Unfortunately, the Witcher didn’t realize he wasn’t the only one watching Jaskier slip into their rented room with a longing expression on his face.
---
“We need to set up camp for the evening,” Geralt announced, bringing Roach to a stop and sliding gracefully down from the saddle. Jaskier loved the way his Witcher looked when he did that, like some kind of fairytale Prince or knight errant. The way his long, silver-white hair shifted and fluttered against his shoulders in the dusky light made him look more like a fantastical painting than a century-old Witcher; even with his scars and his pallid skin tone.
The unconventionally enchanting sight made ballads stir in the most romantic corners of the bard’s busy mind. Words pooled and shifted behind his eyes, arranging themselves into neat rhyming couplets or quatrains.
Geralt of Rivia, tall and fair,
With golden eyes and silver hair;
Whose glare could even douse the sun,
And send a Gryphon on the run.
The bard barely kept himself from sighing aloud as he removed his pack from across his shoulders and unfolded his bedroll and thin travel blanket. The material felt fragile between his calloused fingertips and he sighed forlornly,  “I’m going to need a new blanket soon.”
“Hmm.”
“Don’t worry, I’ll pay for it. And I’ll get Roach some new reins while I’m in town,” the bard waved his hand nonchalantly, as if spending money was no big deal. It really wasn’t, all things considered. They would be able to travel far more comfortably if Geralt would allow them to stop in Novigrad and access his University accounts more often. Alas, Witchers are stubborn creatures. “I see the way they chafe her poor muzzle, Geralt, so don’t argue. If you really insist you can pay me back by letting me write a song about the color of your eyes.”
“My… eyes?”
“They’re rather pretty, dear heart, and I think the world could do with a ballad about how they glow when you turn your face toward the sun.”
Geralt felt the back of his neck grow hot and he glanced away, “Hmm.”
“Well, let me know what you think in the morning. I don’t need an answer right away.”
Geralt finished setting up a decent pile of firewood and brought it to life with an efficient burst of Igni. He glanced across the flames to Jaskier and grunted, “I’m going to catch us some dinner. Make tea.”
“Yes, sir,” Jaskier saluted, smiling. Geralt rolled his eyes, grabbed his crossbow, and disappeared into the darkening treeline. Jaskier began to hum as he set up their tea kettle and filled it with water from the waterskin. The humming turned to quiet singing as he measured out two mugs worth of tea from the sachet of dried leaves.
Singing that was cut off with a sharp, sudden cry.
---
Geralt heard the bard scream once. Only once.
The sound punctuated the air before leaving an uncomfortable, grating silence in its wake.
The Witcher took off towards their campfire without a second thought, allowing his instincts to take over and guide him safely back, the potency of Jaskier’s fear hung thick and sour in the air, growing stronger the closer he came to their clearing. When he burst back into view, chest heaving from the sprint, he widened his eyes at the sight before him:
The cloaked figure from the tavern had Jaskier wrapped in his burly arms. One large, long-fingered hand had immobilized Jaskier’s wrists by pressing them into the dip at the base of the bard’s spine, forcing his elbows out and pressing his chest even tighter against the stranger’s.
Jaskier looked up at Geralt beseechingly through his dark, damp lashes. His mouth opened in a silent cry of confusion and pain when the man tugged at his wrists and forced his arms to bend awkwardly. The bard wriggled and strained against the stranger’s iron grip in an effort to escape but the man only snarled in irritation and jerked him back into place. “Bad bard. Stay put, little thing.”
Geralt took a slow step towards his swords, trying to reassure Jaskier with his expression that: Everything will be okay. I will get you out of this. I will protect you and keep you safe… somehow.
Jaskier needed Geralt to pay attention and protect him from harm.
Geralt had failed.
The Witcher watched with wide, horrified eyes as the hulking man keeping Jaskier captive shifted slowly into a far less humanoid form. The baubles braided into his hair jangled and clinked as his nose elongated and his eyes widened. His arms lengthened to form clawed bat-wings and his face thinned and covered over with a layer of grey fur. Fangs burst forth from his gums and slid over his previously humanesque canines. His voice, which had been rasping odd little sounds in the Witcher’s direction, faded into an terrible shriek.
A Katakan.
A Katakan that had snuck in and out of civilization without Geralt so much as smelling it; one that had Jaskier pinned against its chest, the claws of its unoccupied hand sharp and dangerous as they hovered near the bard’s ribcage, ready to pierce but unwilling to waste precious blood unless absolutely necessary. It screamed again, even more shrilly. “Want him!”
Geralt dove forward and pulled his silver sword from its sheath. He swung it in an elegant arc and narrowed his eyes, “Let him go and I might let you live.”
The Witcher’s words were a lie and they both knew it.
The Katakan twitched its long ears in annoyance and hauled Jaskier even closer. It wrenched his arms painfully and the bard whimpered, blue eyes filling steadily with tears. Geralt’s heart seized wretchedly in his chest and he tried his best to ignore it; he couldn’t let his feelings distract him until Jaskier was safe.
“I want him,” the monster rasped, readjusting the bard in its grip. It turned Jaskier around until he was facing the Witcher, releasing his wrists just long enough to pull his hands around to the front before capturing them again. It grazed its two long fangs against the column of Jaskier’s throat and trilled happily. “He sings so pretty. Talks so sweet. Bet he tastes sweet like he talks.”
“Hmm,” Geralt agreed. “He does have a rather pretty singing voice. I suppose that’s why I can’t have you killing him.”
“But he will sing for me,” the vampire shrugged. It shook Jaskier like a toy and the bard’s tears finally fell. He whimpered again when the vampire leaned close and told him: “Sing, little thing. Let me pull lovely music from your veins.”
Jaskier shivered visibly. He gave a few panting, strangled sobs as he slipped into panic, too frightened to move with the vampire’s fangs so close to his neck. He wanted Geralt to finally swing that stupid sword and get this over with. He wanted to curl up in Geralt’s arms and never leave for the rest of his life. He wanted to be taken to Kaer Morhen and hidden away in safety, fuck his music career and the rest of the world. He wanted Geralt to stay in his presence forever, never letting him out of sight again. He wanted…
Before he could finish his thought there was a sharp, piercing, all-encompassing pain at the juncture where his neck met his shoulder.
A keening wail filled the air once.
The vampire bit down harder, its tongue sliding against the skin of the bard’s neck in an effort to urge the blood to exit faster.
There was another high, piteous cry for help and then...
The world went black.
---
When Jaskier opened his eyes again, the world was even darker than it had been before; mostly because the light from both the moon and their campfire was being blocked out by the broad plane of Geralt’s chest, which Jaskier found himself cradled against almost… lovingly. Above him, he heard the Witcher murmuring: “Jaskier, please. Please wake up, Julek. Come on, bard, I kn-”
“G-Geralt?” he managed to croak. He followed it with a very eloquent, “Hunh?”
“Jaskier,” the Witcher sagged with relief, pressing his forehead against the bard’s and breathing in deeply. He tightened his arms around Jaskier, pulling him even closer as his frown disappeared, “Melitele be blessed, you’re alive!”
“Should I not be?” Jaskier asked. He tried to sit up on his own and winced when a bright burst of pain flared out from his shoulder.
“The Katakan- You were bleeding so much and I-” Geralt was, as always, at a loss for words. Jaskier waited patiently, still feeling drowsy and half-alive, and allowed the Witcher to gather his thoughts. His neck ached and his left arm tingled fiercely every time he tried to flex his hand on that side.
“Did it… Am I a vampire now?” he asked. The absurdity of the question broke Geralt from his confusion.
“No,” the Witcher answered swiftly. “You’re still very mortal-” a hand swept through Jaskier’s hair, calming him further “-And unfortunately still very fragile.”
“Are you going to beat yourself up over this for the next week and somehow twist it around until it’s all your fault?”
“Hmm,” Geralt looked away. Jaskier was still being held so very tenderly in his arms, laid across the Witcher’s lap like some kind of swooning maiden. He rather liked how close he was to Geralt and hoped to stay that way for just a little longer. The Witcher surprised them both by letting a full sentence slip into the air between them, “I don’t like seeing you hurt, Jaskier, especially not when… when I was close enough that I could have prevented it from happening at all.”
“Your medallion didn’t give you any hints about this thing back at the inn when I was talking to him? He seemed completely normal, if a little monosyllabic. I’m used to monosyllabic, anyway,” the bard joked, trying to lighten the mood somewhat. It didn’t work; Geralt lifted his head and stared into the fire, his brow already furrowed as he slipped into his private realm of self-loathing. Jaskier was still laying across his lap, his neck and shoulder giving off pulsing aches with every beat of his heart.
Eventually the Witcher spoke again, his voice low and full of frustration. “Katakans are different, they don’t- they don’t set off my medallion the way other creatures do, and they can disguise themselves as people. They can move and talk like people; you saw it transform.”
“I did,” Jaskier grimaced. “And it wanted me to sing while it drank my blood.”
“You didn’t do very much singing,” the Witcher grumbled. “You screamed twice and fainted. It nearly dropped you.”
“If I remember correctly,” the bard smiled playfully, “Someone said my singing was too pretty for me to die.”
“Hmm.”
“It was you, Geralt. You said that.”
“Hmm.”
Jaskier tried to sit up again and nearly passed out from the pain that screamed through the entire left side of his body. “I- Geralt, I-”
“What’s wrong, Julek?” the Witcher asked, adjusting the bard until he was more comfortably enclosed in Geralt’s arms, his back leaning against one of Geralt’s bent legs for support. Geralt’s other leg was straightened out before him and Jaskier let his calves fall atop the Witcher’s thick thighs. They looked like a painting, with Jaskier reclined as he was and Geralt looking at him like that.
“Everything hurts, dear heart. My whole left side feels aflame.”
“It’ll burn like that for a day or so,” Geralt shushed him. “You bled quite a lot, you were bitten, and you hit the ground pretty hard.”
“You didn’t catch me?”
“I was a little busy beheading your attacker and keeping you from becoming a member of the undead,” Geralt scoffed. “Pardon me for not carrying you to safety first.”
“Well since you let me get injured, you have to kiss it better to gain your pardon,” the bard insisted. Geralt’s eyes widened comically and his hand clenched where it was resting on Jaskier’s lower back.
“It’ll- It would hurt if I kissed your wound,” Geralt replied shakily, trying to escape while he still could. Jaskier wasn’t about to let him. Not again.
“Then you’ll just have to kiss my lips instead.”
“Jaskier?”
“Hush, Geralt. I know how you feel about me, and I feel much the same about you. Let’s skip the words bit, because I know that’s not your favorite, and get right to the kissing.”
“Oh, uh...” The Witcher allowed himself to smile. It was a soft, nervous thing but it made his eyes crinkle at the corners and Jaskier felt himself fall even further in love with his darling Geralt. “Alright.”
Geralt cupped the back of Jaskier’s head carefully, tilting his own chin down, and brought their lips together slowly. The bard’s lips were soft and plush and warm beneath his own, giving just slightly but not wilting beneath his touch. It was better than anything he could have imagined. When they pulled apart, Jaskier frowned.
“Was it bad?” Geralt asked automatically, more nervous than he had ever been with another lover.
“No,” Jaskier shook his head. “I just don’t think I’m healed yet. I may require another. Or several more.”
“Well, if the patient thinks it’s necessary,” Geralt grinned, leaning forward again. Jaskier pulled himself up a little to meet him, ignoring the lances of hurt in his arm. “I suppose...”
