the way mcyt community operates is such a strange display of Fandom because you have the Content Creators and the Characters They Play and 95% of the time the line between those is SO hard to distinguish.

like someone can say “Oh, Creator 1 and Creator 2 are Such Good Friends.” and you the viewer know that in roleplay™ they aren’t, so you can deduce that it’s about the IRL creators and not the characters

BUT THEN. A LOT OF THE TIME.

if someone says “Creator is so ableist!” or “I hate Creator 1 for what they did to Creator 2!”

YOU DONT KNOW IF ITS SLASH RP OR NOT. (especially because of the minecraft youtube community’s reputation cough cough)
