Facts: January 6th was not a regular tourist visit, it was not legitimate political discourse, it wasn’t peaceful or patriotic, it wasn’t perpetrated by the deep state, the FBI, Antifa, drag queens or furries. Those who attacked the Capitol are not “heroes”, “patriots” or “warriors”, and Ashli Babbitt is not a martyr. It was a violent and deadly domestic terror attack intended to assuage the battered ego of a madman loser which was fueled by a perpetual proliferation of lies and conspiratorial propaganda in an effort to stop the certification of the 2020 election.

It was incited by Donald Trump, perpetrated by HIS rabid cult, and it claimed the life of Ashli Babbitt because she CHOSE to threaten the lives of members of Congress and she was stopped in that effort by a police officer’s bullet. No matter how many times MAGA tries to rewrite the events of that day, no matter how they water it down, downplay or diminish it, we still have the truth. We still have what we saw with our own eyes, what we heard with our own ears, we can still see the physical scars and we can feel the emotional trauma the officers on the ground that day carry with them as we speak. January 6th was a very dark day for this country. It’s not a matter of comparing it to any of the other dark days we’ve walked through or endured. There’s no definitive list of the worst days we’ve ever known.

There was a physical attack on the citadel of our democracy, and it was horrific, but it was the intentional and deliberate attack on the bedrock principles of our Democracy itself which has forever scarred this nation. Yes, we ultimately prevailed that day. The attack was thwarted. The physical threats were put down, and the rioters were jailed. Unfortunately however, the more insidious side of the goal of that day has not yet succumbed to the efforts to squash it. Quite to the contrary, those behind the attack are more determined and more emboldened than ever. Their objectives are the same, even if their tactics and language have changed. They are still coming for our Democracy. They are still seeking to destroy what it is that makes this little experiment of ours so uniquely special.

Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) posted on X that “voters are long over January 6th.” Walker is wrong, as lots of voters aren’t “over” that day.

January 6 prisoners are still in prison, despite doing nothing wrong. 5/29 insurrectionists largely walked away. The officer who murdered Ashli Babbitt not only walked away, he was hailed as a hero. As was the man who attempted to murder Kyle R. No one tried pressing charges on the attempted murderer or the murderer because of his political affiliation.

The judge in the Trump case has repeatedly been called out for being extremely bias. It’s also no coincidence Steve Bannon is going to prison until after Election Day. Biden smiled about it when asked. In other words, the POTUS is persecuting political enemies.

Even extremely mainline conservative positions such as “don’t murder children” and protecting said child= prison time. Leftists attempting to burn down the White House? Well, “#BLM. Antifa is just an idea, man!”

Let’s not forget, “he’s an enemy, so if he uses his 1A we should imprison him.”

They’re not wearing tactical gear & brandishing baseball bats & bear spray. They’re dressed in suits & skirts and speaking in hushed tones. They’re working from the Speaker’s podium, from their town halls and from behind the lectern at a MAGA rally.

They’re telling lies, weaving narratives, repainting reality, and spinning the truth into their own version of events. And it’s all designed to achieve the same end today as it was on that cold, January day three years ago.

They want to destroy American democracy. They know it no longer serves them, and that it will no longer reward them with power.

So they want to dismantle it.

But We the People will not stand for that. We will hold tight to the truth. We will trust our own eyes and ears. And we will never, ever forget what was done on that day, or lose sight of what they are trying to do today.

What happened in Washington DC on January 6th, 2021 is not a matter of opinion.

It’s not open to interpretation.

It was a strike against who we are as a nation.

Against who we want to be.

We know who is responsible for it, we know who participated in it, and we know who is standing in the way.

Fascist Oath Keepers’ Leader Stewart Rhodes Gets 18 Years for ‘Seditious Conspiracy'

Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes was sentenced to 18 years in prison Thursday in the first punishment to be handed down for “seditious conspiracy” in the Jan 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol.  Speaking to the court before his sentencing, Rhodes, who actually has a JD from Yale (Doctor of Jurisprudence), told the court that his only crime was "opposing those who are destroying our country" and contrasting the Oath Keepers with Antifa, who "will throw bleach, urine, and other substances you don't want in your eyes.”  Then adding, “Antifa will stab people,” before portraying his conviction as part of a left-wing plot that included the Biden administration, the media, and anti-fascist activists.

Yes, but other than that, I'm pretty sure he feels remorseful about everything. Now, not to be critical, but I’m guessing after a speech like the one he gave in court, he’s unlikely to be someone who gets released early for “good behavior.”  Of course, for those deeply concerned about the poor guy, there’s really no need to fret. Rhodes will be just fine. Both Trump and DeSantis have already promised to pardon him and all the Jan 6th insurrectionists just as soon as they’re elected, so expect Rhodes to end up with a primetime slot on either Fox or Newsmax.

Anyway, so we have Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes - “in a shocking tale about how all ‘Rhodes’ lead from Yale to jail, with no mail or bail.  You see, you didn’t prevail with your traitorous betrayal, so your friggin’ ship of hate - will never sail.”  Too bad, too, because the guy thought he had a “good eye” for how to lead an insurrection and a coup d'état.  Of course, the real irony is that Rhodes went to Yale - and now his prison cell door will likely be secured by a Yale lock.  

Oh well, look on the bright side Stewart; at least you got off better than some of your other traitor pals like Ashli Babbitt.  That said, I do have to give Babbitt some credit for being able to completely beat COVID - with only “one shot.”  The thing is, and what I find hard to wrap my head around, is, “Can you imagine having to spend 18 years in prison for Donald Trump?”  Well, now our friend Stewart Rhodes can.  Turns out he just has a good eye for that kind of stuff.”

Trump’s goal was to protest the rigged election, not overthrow the government.

-Told his supporters to remain peaceful. Cops started the violence

-Nobody intentionally died from Trump supporters, people did die from intentional police action (unarmed protestor Ashli Babbitt)

-Trump supporters were largely unarmed, despite being the most well armed population on the planet.

-Trump didn’t call in the military, despite being commander in chief of the best, most well trained, well equipped military on the planet.

-He told his supporters to leave. They left. Insurrectionists don’t just stop when told politely to leave. Keep in mind this came after months of far left (BLM and Antifa) violence that caused billions of dollars in damages to both government and private property, and close to three dozen dead. All while they had people arrested for not staying inside. We haven’t forgotten the COVID lockdowns.

The description given of what Ashli Babbitt allegedly had on her person, given as justification for her shooting, would justify hundreds of BLM and Antifa members having been shot.

Which is the reason none of these people came up with this standard for justification until it was against someone they thought deserved to die.

Ashlii Babbit wasn’t unarmed dude. She had a backpack full of tools you would normally associate with torture like pliers, knives, a blowtorch, gags, and zip ties.

Oh is that right? You know what was in her backpack? Show me where you got that information.

But even if you were right, even if her backpack was full of guns, it was zipped and on her back. She didn’t have them out. She wasn’t threatening anyone. And you can’t shoot someone for having zip ties and a blowtorch in their backpack.

Ashli Babbitt was not doing anything that justified being shot. At the time she was shot no one was even being violent. The worst that happened was some people were breaking glass on doors trying to get passed a barricade and there are Capitol officers standing there right at the door letting them.

There is no justification whatsoever for shooting her. Anyone who tries to justify the murder of a woman because they don’t like Trump is an asshole and a disingenuous prick whose opinions should be treated like they garbage they are.
