the pre-k classroom was a war zone. someone’s glue stick had mysteriously disappeared, crayons were being traded under the table like contraband, and in the corner, a kid was crying because they lost at duck-duck-goose. but the real battle? the tiny blue table where three warriors sat, each ready to defend their family’s honor.

megumi fushiguro folded his arms. "my dad’s batman."

across from him, babykuna scoffed, flicking one of her pigtails over her shoulder. "so? my dad’s a power ranger."

yuuji, mid-bite into his peanut butter and jelly sandwich, blinked. "wait. which one?"

"the red one."

megumi frowned. "that’s the leader. your dad’s not the leader." babykuna leaned back in her chair, sipping from her juice box like a villain in a crime drama. “prove he isn’t.” 

yuuji wiped jelly from his cheek. "well… my papa is just papa." he hesitated, then straightened up proudly. "but he can carry all the groceries in one trip!"

megumi squinted. "that’s not a superhero power."

"yeah," babykuna agreed. "if that’s a superpower, then my papa has super patience because he hasn’t thrown me out the window yet."

megumi and yuuji both stared. "what?" 

before they could argue further, babykuna smirked. "oh, and i also have two cats."

yuuji gasped dramatically. "two cats?"

"yup." she grinned, clearly enjoying the flex. "and they love me the most."

yuuji, never one to back down, huffed. "well, i have a whole lego set! i could make ten bazillion cats if i wanted to!"

megumi, who had been quiet for too long, suddenly sniffled. both babykuna and yuuji turned to look at him. he rubbed his eye with his sleeve. 

"...my papa only has green-ades."

silence.

babykuna frowned. "what’s a green-ade?"

megumi sniffled again. "i dunno. but he really likes them."

yuuji and babykuna exchanged a look.

"wait." yuuji tilted his head. "do you mean—"

but before he could finish, their teacher clapped her hands. "okay, class! clean up time!"

the great debate would have to wait. but one thing was clear: the battle for pre-k supremacy was far from over.

Monoma Neito headcanons!

I headcanon him to have sharper canines than normal, and he has the urge to bite everything and anything so he owns one of those chewable necklaces.

Is really touch starved - but is also uncomfortable with being close to people because then he becomes hyper aware of what he's doing (cuz anxiety)

I headcanon him to have a more androgynous look because you need to be a blank slate before copying a quirk.

Got REALLY into the "Survivors" and "Warrior Cats" series as a kid (both made by the same author I think(?))

Hello hello, coming over to ask about the modern au. :) Do Sky and Wild ever stress cook together? Does Warriors knit sweaters for his cats? Does Twilight bring home strays sometimes?

1. THEY DO, once they actually become friends. Wild’s funny in this au because he met and befriended Wars and Twi individually, and they didn’t realize they both knew Wild. So Wars would literally be talking about him like “yeah my friend who helps me with photoshoots and has helped me design costumes for years now” and then Twi would be like “oh yeah my buddy who comes to take pictures of the penguins at work like twice a week” and then Sky would come home from work every day crying about the guy who orders ice water “in a mug, for here please” because he cannot comprehend why in a MUG and it drives him nuts, and NONE of them realized they were talking about the same guy. and then one day Wars invited Wild over to help him with something and poor Sky opened the door to see the bane of his existence standing on the other side and he screamed in genuine fear. They’re friends now, but Sky’s eye DOES twitch every time Wild makes him put ice water in a mug

2. HE DOESN’T :( his cats in this au have fur so they don’t need the sweaters to keep em warm. Wars also doesn’t have the time to knit, he’s incredibly busy running around all day and his “destress hobby” is another physical activity so he’s really either dancing/in class, skating, hanging out with friends from class to grab lunch, dead on his apartment floor, or Twi got enough food in him and forced him to sleep long enough that he’ll play a video game or read a book aalskkddk

3. Twi is MUCH more likely to bring a stray to Time and Malon than he is the apartment. They’re basically his parents, they’ve had him since he was one and he LOVES animals and they’re well aware of this aldkdk. And he knows his roommates wouldn’t be able to handle another animal, the only reason Wars has his cats was because he’s had them since middle school and he wasn’t about to abandon them with his mother (otherwise he would not have animals because he’s so busy, but he’s lucky because the cats have become all of their cats and they’re very well cared for). So Twi takes animals to Time and Malon instead, who will help care for whatever he brings home until it can either: Go free because he brought them a Wild Animal, get adopted, or Time gets a soft spot for it and has to BEG Malon to let him keep it. And this is why they have Several dogs (who are all very spoiled because they are Time’s children. Malon will wake up in the middle of the night like ‘ah yes, me, my husband, and his four large emotional support dogs) (It’s not hard to guess where Two got his soft spot for animals from, and Malon is just mad that he and Time have the EXACT same “please let me help this little guy” face)

Twi has a habit of finding things/people who need a little extra love and bringin’ em to the ranch. Wars has been in almost every family holiday photo since their sophomore year of high school because Malon INSISTED he come over and get out of his house and just relax for a little. Sky’s in a few as well, but Wars really has been in nearly every single one for the past seven years

there's been a lot of discussion over the years about what's needed in a story premise to make it catnip for fandom (e.g. 'fantastical elements', 'well written but not TOO well written', 'spaces for creators to play', 'long running to allow for many discussions').

and i'm not saying any of that is wrong

but i think something missing from this discussion is:

clear framework template to make OCs

Warrior cat clans? great for OCs. Hogwarts Houses? great for OCs. Camp Half Blood cabins? great for OCs. Divergent classes? great for OCs. Sonic character template? great for OCs. Bending and elements? great for OCs. Star Wars aliens and Jedi light saber colors? great for OCs. Dungeons and Dragons of course was literally created to facilitate OC creation, and part of why it's been so enduringly popular is they struck gold with the Race-Class-Alignment structure.

a solid 60% of the reason MLP:FIM became so bananas level popular is because drawing OCs was soooo easy and you could easily customize it as a unicorn/pegasus/earth pony and a cutie mark and a nice color scheme to match

people really really like making OCs. make it easy for them to make OCs, and fandom will flourish.

title: A long week | words: 2769 | summary: rory's getting bullied, and while he thinks what a human thinks shouldn't affect him, it hurts him a lot. when erica and benny find out, rory is comforted and the bully is taken care of.

Rory walked into school with his usual goofy smile spread across his face, he wore a t-shirt with a cat playing a piano and carried vampires Sasquatch underneath his arm. He rounded the corner toward the computer base where he had agreed to meet Erica when he walked right into one of the hockey players.

"Woah, sorry I didn't see-" Rory's brief attempt at an apology was cut short when the taller boy shoved him to the ground, gaining a laugh from the other hockey players. "Watch it! Or else!" Rory warned before remembering he couldn't flash his fangs. The boys shared confused looks before laughing at him as if he were an idiot. They left after making some comments about his toy and him being a loser, not that Rory cared though. They were just teenagers, they were just humans, stupid mortals that would grow old and frail whilst he can fly. So he picked himself up and made his way to the computer lab where he found Benny trying to explain his video game to a very unamused looking Erica. "What's up Party people!" Rory greeted his friends as he very quickly forgot about what had happened in the hall.

Unfortunately it was only Monday and the guys on the hockey team did not forget quite as quickly as Rory had. Tuesday came round and Rory bounced into school with Benny following quickly behind, unable to keep up with him. Benny had been rambling on about how he would rewrite Star Wars when Rory came crashing back into him. Catching the blond boy and steadying them both Benny looked around at Rory's books scattered across the entrance of the school. "Whoops, my bad" A tall boy in a hockey uniform smiled as he walked past.

"What was that about?" Benny asked helping Rory pick up his notebooks. "Aw it was nothing you know what they're like" Rory smiled waving a hand to dismiss the matter. Benny remembered the countless times he'd been tripped and laughed at by the same boys and didn't give it another thought only shrugging and patting Rory's back as they walked in the door. Rory sat through Chemistry with the taunting sound of the older boys voices in his ear. "Aw cmon leave him alone he doesn't have his boyfriend to protect him" one sneered as they dug their foot into his leg. "Or his dolly" the other laughed throwing a wad of paper at the back of his head.

It wasn't like Rory cared, he was a Vampire, he could fly, and had super speed and if he wanted to he could punch them so hard they'd land in the next town. Except he couldn't do that, then they'd know what he was. "Uh can I go to the bathroom?" He asked getting a tired nod from his teacher before quickly leaving the room. He wasn't upset! That would be stupid, he just... didn't want to be there anymore. That was all.

In his haste to the bathrooms he found himself colliding with someone else, that was the second time this week! He looked up to see a rather unpleased Erica. "Woah, sorry" he laughed as he clambered to his feet but she only frowned. "You should be, and where are you running off too?" Her voice was cold and uncaring but she wore her usual sarcastic smirk that let him know she was really mad at him. "Oh uh... no where just... got bored in class" He smiled nervously. Erica knew he was lying, but it wasn't exactly out of the ordinary for Rory to act strange so she shrugged and nodded before walking off.

Wednesday came and Rory was a little on edge. He wore his favourite band shirt with his purple hoodie and had Vampire Sasquatch placed safely in his bag. He peaked around every corner before turning and looked nervous going into every class. Benny chalked it up to the fact he was Rory and he believed in aliens and ghosts and evil vampire killing ninja warriors. Rory made it to lunch before everything went wrong. He had been walking to the cafeteria to meet up with his usual group of friends, minus Sarah who was at some try out, when suddenly he was dragged backwards into the bathroom.

"Aw Rory buddy come hang out with us" A tall, broad shouldered boy smirked as he blocked the exit. In a matter of seconds two other boys had grabbed him and stole his bag. "Aww you bring your dolly to protect you? What's he going to do?" The boy he had bumped into before asked. "Well he's a Vampire so-" Rory was quickly shut up when he was shoved backwards into the row of sinks. "Shut up! God you really are a freak!" The Boy snapped at him before tearing Vampire Sasquatch's arm off and throwing it to the ground for good measure.

Rory walked out of the bathroom ten minutes later with slightly red eyes and a petted lip. As he sat down at the table he found Benny and Erica just about to leave for class. "Rory? What's up man?" Benny asked leaning on his shoulder. Rory shook his head, sniffing a little before plastering a smile on his face. "Nothing to worry about, Benny. Rory the vampire ninja has got this covered!" Benny smiled accepting his answer, Erica didn't look quite as convinced but kept any doubts to herself. "Oh uh Benny, you know how to sew right?" Rory asked getting a nod from his friend before smiling and placing the two halves of his toy in front of his friend.

"What happened?" Erica asked now wearing a concerned expression. "He just ripped but don't worry Benny is a great sewer he can fix him and he's a vampire so he'll be fine" before either of his friends could ask a follow up question the bell rang and Rory disappeared.

Thursday came and Rory was dreading going to school. He wasn't scared, he really wasn't! He just didn't want to go. Erica and Benny had agreed to keep a close eye on him today. So when the three got to school Benny stuck to Rory's side and Erica, in true Erica fashion, stayed three foot ahead pretending not to associate with them. They managed to be by his side all day, Benny walked him to every class and Erica stood outside waiting after each one. It wasn't until the end of school when Erica showed up to collect him from his last class that she found he wasn't there. She made her way to the doors where she found Benny but still no Rory.

"We agreed to walk home together, Rory wouldn't just leave" Benny looked around growing worried until Erica placed a hand on his shoulder. "He's a supernatural undead creature who believes he's a ninja, don't worry so much. Besides he'll be around here somewhere" She reassured him before grabbing him rather harshly and dragging him to look for their friend.

Around the side of the school Rory found himself pinned against a wall. "Not so brave now? What happened to 'watch it, or else!'? You scared without your boyfriend here to protect you?" The tallest of the boys cackled, pushing the blond boy to the ground and swiftly driving his foot into Rory's side. "You gonna go crying to your mom? Gonna go home and play with your dolly?" Another boy swung his leg back to kick at him and Rory flinched to the side but it never hit. He reluctantly looked up to find Erica holding the boy a foot of the ground with a look of pure fury growing across her face.

Benny was quickly at Rory's side helping him to his feet before walking round to the front of the building. A few moments later Erica came round with a cruel smile on her face that only softened when she locked eyes with the teary eyed boy in front of her. "Rory why wouldn't you tell us?" She asked to which he only shrugged. "They're only humans... it's silly of me to be upset over what they think" Benny pulls him into a hug, resting his chin on top of the shorter boys head and the three head back to his house to curl up on the couch and watch movies.

Neither of them mention when they can quietly hear soft sniffing coming from Rory, they simply move closer cuddling into him and covering him with the blanket. It's late and they're all tired but Benny quickly gasps "oh Rory, before I forget" he jumps off the couch and disappears into the kitchen. Rory shoots a confused glance to Erica who only shrugs. A few moments later Benny returns with Vampire Sasquatch in hand, good as new. Rory smiles at his friend as he climbs back onto the couch, placing the teddy on the blonds lap. "Thanks, Benny... I love you guys" Rory smiles as he shuffles around to get comfy. "Love you too, man" Benny smiled and Erica placed a soft kiss on his cheek before they as fall asleep.

On Friday Rory wasn't scared to go to school. He went in happily, in the same clothes he had wore the day before, with his two friends at either side of him. He wasn't entirely sure what had happened after him and Benny left yesterday but today half the hockey team was on crutches and avoiding the three of them like the plague.

Risha (S) - one of the most detailed, nuanced companions in the game, my wife, top tier female love interest, she doesnt just have backstory she has Backstory ™️

Andronikos Revel (SI) - many points for the coolest name in star wars. ok like i think his character concept is kinda boring comparatively but they pull it off so well as a romance arc. he feels very real and human and natural and i like that he keeps the inquisitor grounded by being the everyman in a story about sith sorcery and going insane because of ghosts in your brain

Akaavi Spar (S) - she is SO hot. the superior Mandalorian like Torian Cadera who?

Treek - TREEK!!!!!!!

Kira Carsen (JK) - my first ever swtor love. she has a special place in my heart

Jaesa Willsaam (SW) - let me have lesbian sex with her

Qyzen Fess (JC) - i looove him, easily one of the most interesting characters and the deep dive into trandoshan lore is so fascinating and interesting

Vette (SW) - she’s my darling 🩷 i would die for her. i bonded with her so much cause i play female characters as a rule and her whole character and relationship with the female warrior is about her craving sisters and sisterly relationships and then finding that in the warrior. and at the same time that i was playing that class i was repairing and working on my real life relationship with my little sister who i’m now very close to. so Vette is my sister. plus if you play as female you still get to hit on Tivva (just not sleep with her) and the dialogue is extremely amusing to me

Elara Dorne (RT) - in game doing that sweet pseudo-enemies to lovers with Jorgan so my character meeting Elara was like FINALLY someone who i don’t hate. out of game i was like FINALLY my autistic companion. it’s not a swtor playthrough without at least one autistic companion

Holiday (JC) - she COUNTS ok!!!!

Aric Jorgan (RT) - cat boy husband

Khem Val (SI) - objectively one of the best companions, if not the best. he’s just so low because i have more emotional attachment to the ones above

MIDDLE FIFTEEN

Torian Cadera (BH) - super well written romance especially when you get to the GenoHaradan arc, an underrated love interest (at least in the circles i run in online). however. sir we need to have words about that facial hair. also i guess it’s not an old republic game without at least one character that makes me say “they are NOT a nineteen year old”

Kaliyo (IA) - i get that she could rub people the wrong way but she’s my bestie. plus she coined the nickname bug boy for Vector

Tharan Cedrax (JC) - the superior version of Doc

SC0RPI0 (IA) - they gave that droid madonna cone titties. also i was so excited by her since i found the previous agent companion so bleh

Malavai Quinn (SW) - time to drop a controversial opinion…i think he’s overrated. like don’t get me wrong he’s a fantastic love interest, he’s just hyped up a LOT compared to other love interests and i think he maybe only deserves like 85% of the hype he gets (which is still a lot!). i just think he has a lot of the traits tumblrinas go nuts for and then they act like that makes him superior to other love interests when that’s not necessarily the case. and i say this as someone who romanced and placed him higher on this list than several other love interests so im being objective here. on a more positive note his deadpan humor is greatly enjoyable, and i find it very entertaining that when his health bar drops but is still like halfway full he starts saying shit like “my death is imminent” overdramatic king

Xalek (SI) - the superior inquisitor apprentice

Zenith (JC) - let me romance him you cowards but im far less passionate about this one than i am about Scourge (yeah yeah the expansions i want him to be my MAIN story love interest in the origin)

Broonmark (SW) - i love my giant murderous fluffy alien monster baby

M1-4X (RT) - i do enjoy being told how amazing i am on a regular basis. the most egotistical character let alone the most egotistical droid but unlike other swtor companions he pulls off having one single character trait cause he’s funny about it

Doctor Lokin (IA) - the mad scientist thing is very cool but i feel like for me personally it was not as cool as it sounds in theory

T7-O1 (JK) - teethree 2.0 and since they made teeseven like several hundred years old anyway i genuinely do not understand why they didn’t just make him T3-M4

Lieutenant Felix Iresso (JC) - literally only exists for me as eye candy (and what a good job of it he does)

2V-R8 - they gave that poor droid anxiety

gamzee - mentally disabled rich latchkey kid from an extremely religious military family, was expected to be an rotc kid but was a major failure in his parents eyes and smokes himself stupid to cope with it, never learns hes actually just disabled

eridan - closeted nonbinary kid from a very catholic military family who has been convinced his worth is only provable through doing military work that he hates instead of wearing cute clothes and getting attention on the internet

Also for the record if any of these people are problematic I don’t know about it or what happened my entire YouTube feed for the past six years has been Reddit stories and video essays I use for background noise when I draw so if I mention someone sucky I’m sorry I haven’t consumed their content since at least middle school

For starters, I think Emma, Millard, and Horace avoid it altogether out of principle. Emma and Horace because people are stupid and they cannot believe this is what modern entertainment is and Millard because he has ruined many videos by pointing out every inaccuracy he could find and he got sick of the cesspool of misinformation that is the internet.

Jacob has been watching Minecraft videos since the beginning of the damn site. Specifically he discovered iHasCupquake and DanTDM a couple years after joining the loop and now when he’s bored and in a time with internet access he watches Minecraft Oasis and DanTDM’s Custom Mod Adventures on repeat. Noor is the exact same way, but with life hack videos very obviously aimed at middle school girls that have stuff like painting staples with nail polish and sneaking candy into class via empty glue sticks. Think Wengie and SaraBeautyCorner. They actually grew up with this so it’s more about the nostalgia than anything else

Enoch likes history videos. And videos about games like War Thunder and World of Tanks. He also likes Vine compilations, discovered when Jacob and Noor were quoting vines to each other and Enoch joined with them having absolutely zero knowledge he even knew what that was. (Horace also begrudgingly knows what Vine was, but instead of saying “yeah I sure hope it does” to Enoch’s “road work ahead???” he goes “I hate you and everything you stand for” and Enoch laughs.)

Olive, Claire, and Bronwyn watch Gacha Life/Club/whatever the fuck they’re on now I don’t know anymore music videos and Vine compilations. Bronwyn is here for quality control. (Bronwyn’s favorite YouTube series is Rosanna Pansino’s Nerdy Nummies series, even though she has no idea what any of the references are. What she does know is that she showed Jacob the Angry Birds cupcakes and he demanded they be made that exact day.)

Hugh is fascinated by all this but has little to no idea what’s going on. He did however get very invested in Sanders Sides and is very impatiently waiting with me for Orange to be revealed.

Fiona also doesn’t know what’s going on but she thinks Warrior Cats AMVs and multi-animator projects are INSANE she loves them and gets very sad when Noor is helping her look them up and they find out yet another creator is problematic

hokay one of the arg documents pulled from a floppy disc found at an irl event had a spreadsheet in it written in german with what looks to me like dates and locations of statements (or maybe incident reports...?). I think this might have some clues about the protocol 'verse fear taxonomy, as the notes section of uncorrupted rows seem to have explanations for the events. most of them are "cats lol," but some labels ring bells for me, like "war people / warriors" (slaughter) and "avoid" (lonely), and some don't but are still spooky. "ink" comes up several times, "never again" and "unhappy child" once each. one that took place at a somerset theme park is noted with "mr b," so clearly bonzo himself is also an entity of fear.

I really think that under no circumstances are we going to definitively know what happened to jon and martin from the archives 'verse, but we could definitely see what their alternate selves are up to in this timeline.
