I honestly don't know how to feel right now....sick to my stomach is probably the best way to describe it. Puking? Yes, I want to puke. I'm writing this just a little after 5am on November 6, 2024. Our country is huge, there are clearly millions upon millions of people who didn't want this outcome. I live in NJ, a blue state. I've always voted with the left, always voted for women's rights, human rights, lgbtqia rights... Now I feel like all those rights are going to be stripped away. I feel WORSE NOW than in 2016. We lived through 4 years of the horror, this time it's going to be far fucking worse. I am in such a flight mode right now. For the first time in quite a long time I am seriously thinking of breaking the glass of my emergency escape plan and fleeing the country. I have dual citizenship with France. This means I can live and work anywhere in the European Union. I don't know how that impacts my husband, he was born and raised in NJ. I know that this is such a privileged position I'm in since not many people have this emergency escape card. I don't know, though, what I'd do for work...I speak English and what I lovingly call my Spanglish. I have worked in one field for the past 16 years, I have a decent salary with a unionized job (a rarity these days...and who the hell knows what's going to happen with that). I only have a BA (in Psychology). Even with all of this, though, there is only so far I can run. This affects the entire fucking world. Fascists everywhere are celebrating today and will rise to power everywhere. Fuck I'm terrified. I didn't want this, millions upon millions of people here didn't want this. I don't know the answer. I feel like I'm living in a horrible alternate history timeline where the Nazi's actually won. In reality, they waited and made plans over the years...and now their experiment has succeeded... I know this sounds like a really bleak mentality but it's where my head is at right now. As Crowley so succinctly screamed.... "We are FUCKED"

I have very strong opinions about disaster preparation as someone who lives in a tornado zone, where evacuation is NOT an option for anyone and the only way to definitely survive is to 1) be in a building that WON'T just get picked up AND 2) have a basement, cellar, or specialized tornado shelter.

The simple fact is that the majority of fatalities in tornadoes are people living in mobile homes/trailers and those deaths could be reduced massively if the government built tornado shelters in high risk areas. But there's been very, very little effort to do that and tornadoes are just getting stronger and more deadly while poor people are left to huddle in our bathtubs, listening to the sirens and thinking about easily we could die.

Tango was so happy energetic.

And from Tango calling Etho's storage system cute and Etho in gamechat going "CUTE?!" (00:41:07). To the razzing (and laughing) over shops (00:49:00 and 01:03:49). Etho taking Tango's head twice, and it all being so playful (00:58:11). Etho using Tango's catchphrases 🥹🥹🥹 It gets me every time! "porkchop power" "flee with extra flee!" And the way he said it was the cutest, and Tango's giggle about it too (01:00:59). Etho offering to give the tour Tango wanted. More mail talk and laughing guilt and planning and razzing and teaching Etho to do the stamps. Tango complimenting the path (and that Etho showed it to him when he first came back when Etho came to say hi) (01:15:41). They still plan on doing their sand-collection-off (01:35:06).

And of course the whole TNTificating with Etho's new "boom boom tech" (01:39:43--02:15:17) was just…the most fun. They are having the most fun together...it's an absolute joy. (And it's also them collaborating on how to figure out a redstone thing together which is just so satisfying.) Just...TOO MANY (!!!) (so many) fun moments in that whole TNT section that I can't even start on highlighting them all 😭 I'd need another mammoth paragraph...

i love the way you write simon because it’s so realistic and dark. Like yes actually on the inside he’s still a starving scared boy terrified of snakes. Yes he doesn’t know who he is when he looks in the mirror. Yes he’s a machine but he’s also a dog who’s been taught to bite and a long time ago he wished he could stop but now the rabies and the sharpness are integral to him and losing those would mean losing himself 🔥🙏🏻

godddd, you nailed it perfectly. i think he spent so much time wandering around as a hollow, empty shell—filling himself with violence and brutality—that he's not really sure what to do when you pop into his life. all his grief is probs now just stone cold fury. has very little pity to spare.

i really like when big, strong characters secretly hate the "weaker" people they are forced to protect, and that's def Ghost to me. which is why i write the dynamic between him and reader as if he kindaaaa hates you. despises your existence. what you make him feel. what you could do to him. and not in the angsty enemies to lovers thing, but as a "this man still sometimes looms over you and genuinely contemplates what he'll tell Price when he's finished with you" kinda way. but he's not gonna do anything about it because he's selfish and hungry and you feed that emptiness inside of him better than anything else he's ever tried. so. you're stuck with him.

Jazz isn't the biological daughter of Jack.

It was before their marriage. Back in her league days, Maddie was simply the best of the best. She was the demon's daughter second in command, heading her call any moment and her most loyal subject.

That's how it was, to the people.

Behind closed doors she and the demon daughter were more.

But those are old times, after she betrayed the league, fled and created plans to continue living in relative peace.

That was how it was supposed to be.

That was not how it played out.

During her 3rd year with a man called Jack Fenton, did she receive news of a child, a daughter of her own with Talia. One she created in a lab, trained to follow their footsteps and ran from the league at the perfect time and needed to hide.

So maddie took in her daughter, trained her, and showed the ropes of a civilian life.

Jack loved her as if she were his own. It led them to finally marry and later on have Danny.

Jazz knew of the pits, of the meaning they had, and how much knowledge the leader of the league possessed.

Now she is 17, recently orphaned with her 15 year old brother and on the run because Danny is currently the only living person in this world who knows more of the pits than the current user.

And Ra's really wants that knowledge.
