#roserade#i was about to be like What Where's Roselia! but i remembered that this is another one of those evo lines that's all out of order#because of retrofit prevos and evos. i'm glad they haven't done any of these since like gen 4 bc these things are confusing#see i'm gonna say that and then someone is gonna point out one in like gen 5 or something. and then i will die. i will lose forever#i'm queuing this up waiting for the presents on august 8th. i'm sure i'll liveblog it on my main but like. it's not gonna be anything#it's just gonna be sv dlc. that's literally the one single interesting thing they're gonna mention. i swear. that's it#no WAY we're getting any other new games this year. we got TWO last year. and that was right after pl:a was back-to-back with bdsp#i would be Very wary about the quality of the next pokémon game if we do get one this year. which we won't bc main series DLC tends to#replace a new core series game. it stands in for one. as we saw with swsh. and then they'll do one next year on the fuckin switch 2 or w/e#centro pokémon says sv was the last $60 pokémon game. and now they're gonna be $70. which is sad but to be expected#dunno. the presents is gonna be long over by the time you all see this so maybe i'm wearing the fucking clown makeup and we got a pmd game#or hell. a new pokémon ranger. that has a dedicated fanbase. for a game i've never played. should i? maybe i should

This week's deep dive rec is an installment from Kevin Perjurerâs "Defunctland" video essay series that digs into the history of the Disney FastPass. I'll let this Polygon review make the case for me:
With extremely thorough narratives, Perjurer asks questions that should interest even those who arenât theme park enthusiasts: Who crafts the societal vision of fun? Why do fun places exist, and how do they get built? And is it possible for everyone who wants the experience to enjoy themselves at a theme park, even if theyâre not rich?

every time i try to do something scary on purpose for my social anxiety the universe decides to add in unexpected situations đ
#i was supposed to go pick up a package and then i was like. ok wait. ive gotten good at buying something while pickiing a package up. what#if i also buy stamps#bc you have to ask the cashier for those (same as with the package)#and it was just at my cornerstore so it's a safe nonscary environment#well. as not-scary as any store can be.#but. there were a lot of ppl there. which! i thought would be fine bc the line was still relatively short but. what happened was that they#opened another register.#and i was queuing for the reguster that had stamps and handles packages#and i would have loved to stay at the queue. but. only one person went to the queue of the new register. so there were 2 ppl in line before#me. one already had their stuff on the conveyor belt and the other was about to put their stuff there too#and the person who went to the other register only had like 2 things to buy. so. it was me. in line behind 2 people. versus an almost#empty register. so. i had to switch to the free register before the cashier had the time to b like 'there's a free register here!'#bc i don't have a script for hearing that and saying 'no' !!!#so i just. switched over and bought my snacks. leaving the store with no package and no stamps.#bc if i hadnt i would have had to say something i dont have a social script for and probably stumbled on my words and gone red and dizzy#which. not ideal.#and this sucks ass bc all i really needed was one (1) success in a social situation#bc this week has been kicking my ass social anxiety wise#usually when i go and get coffee from a coffeeshop they dont ask me shit and just make my order to regular milk which. ok. i dont have an#allergy or anything. i just think plant alternatives taste better in coffee#but this week. i got asked 'do you want that in regular milk?' and i was not expecting that#so i was like 'yes please đ' and drank my grossly milky coffee dreaming about what i could have had#and that happened TWICE#after the first time i did think about it and decide i could have said 'do you have oat milk or something' and then the barista#could have either said yes or no and both of those would b easy to answer#but instead of asking if they have oat milk i just said yes. again.#can you guys imagine some people speak without being scared#some people even go to the store without feeling even an ounce of fear. imagine#leevi talks

@riiese liked this post for a starter!
Tulip usually received visits from people in the village she was raised in, or local Hell Knights and Barons of Hell. She even would see Ureezar and his crew sometimes.
As of late, however, stragglers from other worlds found their way in the highlands of Isonkast, and right into the castle she resides in. No stranger shall be in harm's way, however, unless they present themselves as genuine threats to inhabitants here.
And today, she received a visitor. One of her Pinkies running to her and behaving as if it found someone-- Or something, would oft be an indicator.
...Her mind wandered towards the thought of the Doom Slayer at the moment. With her powers now growing prominent, he would inevitably awaken at any moment. She worried about his reaction to the existence of another ruler after Davoth, but again, there was no news of such as of currently.
Instead, she had a guest.
"Welcome to Castle Isonkast." This already being an awkward situation for her, Tulip greeted the other anyway. "What brings you here? This realm has been closed off to many who try to enter for a long time."
#Welcome (IC)#Stand your ground (RP)#Mind-Seeing Ruler (Tulip)#riiese#verse tbt#(for some reason tumblr refuses to let me notify your particular blog)#(but i guess i can't do anything about it then [pensive emoji])#Waiting in line (Queued post)

"Oh, showing off the goods of the shop is the job actually." Charlotte happily chimed in as she rolled up beside him, giving a two handed wave to the tall and scruffy bearded store owner behind the counter, "So, I hope you can do some tricks."
Her chipper little gesture was met with stoic approval from the owner, and a knowing smirk was given to Zech at his dismayed embarrassment before he turned around to select a suitable board. He also took a few glances at Zech as he passed over the safety gear too, selecting a set of pads and a suitable helmet. The only time he paused on his board selection was to check over Zech again, seeming to scrutinize his shoes and height the most with his gaze.
Charlotte, meanwhile, was grabbing a mesh bag with bright orange slalom cones inside from one of the displays, and popping on her own safety gear to set a good example. She was also checking the sizes of some t-shirts against Zech at a distance with a little impish grin. She was definitely having more of her own ideas brewing that she wasn't too obviously sharing.
"Yeah... Yeah you could say that." There's a stark contrast being painted between their respective moods in this instant. Charlotte seems impishly amused, whereas Zech just feels the tendrils of creeping shame and humiliation settling upon his mind as it continues to dredge up long lost vestiges of his youth. Vague imagery involving the undead and skateboards... No. Stop. What in the hell did he even get up to back in those far off days?
He wants nothing more than to bury his face in his hands at this moment, but Charlotte continues to usher him along into the skate shop. As much as he should be putting on a brave face and treating it as nothing, the personal mortification is too great. This grown man cannot help but place a hand over his own face as he enters, only scarcely staying mindful of where he's going to approach whoever is working behind the counter.
"Just... Gimmie a board suitable for an adult male. It doesn't have to be anything fancy and special. I'm gonna need it do some jobs around here... I guess, and I'll pay back what I owe with what I make." He sets the terms plain and simple as that. Although it's strange, a majority of the boards on offer all seem to share a similar design in which a pair of "wings" seem to flare out from the lower portion of the board. He doesn't think he's ever seen that before.

Steddie | 2.2k | first meetings | ao3
âWhat did you say the name of the band is again?â Steve asks. He has to raise his voice above the sound of the music playing before the concert and the hundreds of conversations around him.
âCorroded Coffinâ Dustin says, probably for the hundredth time, or thatâs what his tone suggests.
âItâs written on the drums.â Mike adds with his constant bitchy petulant tone.
Steve turns around and fair enough, the name is written there in the drums. They are also right there as they had queued for hours to be at the front (they are not in the centre but thereâs no one standing in front of them), and apparently the band and place are small enough that there is no security line in front of the stage. Steve has been leaning against it with a drink in his hand while they wait for the concert to start. And thatâs his excuse. He was leaning against the stage, so the drums were to his back, he couldnât have read them.
âCâmon Steve, even I learned the name of the band in the eternity we have been hereâ Robin says which, rude, but she had agreed to come keep him company at a metal concert without asking for anything in return, so he will let it pass.
The kids (not quite kids anymore, but close enough) had needed an adult to get into the 18+ venue the concert was held at, and of course that adult had to be Steve because âwe are not going to bring one of our parents into a metal concert Steveâ and âNancy and Jonathan are not even in the state and you said you were fun, didnât you?â and he is fun, so he had to agree. And drag Robin with him, of course.
âWell I would remember the name if it wasnât a stupid nameâ he says, a bit too loud if the looks he receives from some of the people around them are anything to go by.
âIf you are so annoyed why donât you go hang out at the bar and leave us alone?â Dustin asks.
âIf Iâm at a concert Iâm getting the full experience, Iâve not queued for hours to stay at the bar. And I have to make sure you donât get squished to death or accept drinks from strangers.â
âWe are sixteen, you already drank when you were sixteen.â
âBut I didnât have a wristband telling everyone I was a minor.â He emphasizes this by hooking his forefinger on said wristband around Dustinâs wrist. The boy takes his hand away with a huff, but whatever he was going to say gets interrupted by a loud cheer as the lights of the venue dim. All eyes turn to the stage, and Steve forgets everything about the little shits around him.
They play the first two songs without interruption, back to back, and they are much better than Steve had expected them to be when the kids had pitched the idea of going to a concert of âa super cool bandâ they had found on tiktok of all places. Steve is very quick to understand their raising popularity on social media the moment his eyes land on the frontman. He is not even wearing anything scandalous, just black jeans, some graphic tee and a leather jacket, but fuck if he isnât attractive. His big eyes, teasing smile and wild hair are very much deserving of the screams they awake in the audience.
When the second song finishes, they donât start a new one, the frontman takes the microphone from the stand.
âAre you ready for the best night of your life?â he shouts, and the audience answers with shouts of their own. Steve finds himself whooping, and answers with a smile and a shrug to Robinâs amused silent question as both of them clap. âWe are Corroded Coffin,â more yelling, and the frontman stars walking around with a smile on his lips while he looks at the ground, clearly enjoying the attention. âAnd these aaaaaareâŠâ he prolongs the last word, building a dramatic effect. âGareth!â he shouts, pointing to the back dramatically. There are yells, the boy at the drums doing a short solo before he stands up to wave at the audience. âJeff!â more yells, a guitar solo. âOur favourite Freak!â laughs from band and audience alike, more yells, and the boy with the bass trying to hit the frontman with said bass. âAnd Iâm Eddie.â
âEddieâ Steve mouths the name.
There are yells as the frontman finishes, a small bashful smile on his lips back on his face after the laughing as he plays with the microphone stand with the hand that is not currently holding the microphone. He looks up at the audience when the yells donât stop, gives a small dramatic bow and smirks when the yells grow louder once again.
âEDDIE MARRY MEâ a voice yells from somewhere in the audience.
âOh? Without going on a date first?â Eddie asks, he has his gaze set somewhere on the audience, and Steve is a bit impressed at how easily he has spot the person in the sea of bodies.
âIâM FREE WHENEVER.â The same voice yells again, it makes Eddie laugh.
âIâm honoured, my fair lady, but Iâll have to decline. Iâm looking for my knight in shining armour myself.â There are ooohs from the audience but Steveâs gut makes a traitorous interested twist. âAnd speaking of knights,â he says, putting his hands back on his guitar, âI think you may know this one.â One note, and the audience is going crazy. Dustin is jumping up and down while he holds onto Steveâs arm, and Steve canât help but laugh at him.
It's when that third song is finishing that it happens. The guitarist is starting a solo, and Eddie looks down to the base of the microphone stand, pulls a confused face, and then looks around. He must not see whatever he was looking for because he has a confused furrow in his brow when he does a second sweep around the stage and beyond, and he catches Steve's eyes. He maintains the eye contact for a second, two, five, and then looks down to Steveâs hands and back up again. There is a smirk in his face Steve is not entirely sure he likes the implications of as he walks towards him while he keeps playing.
Steve can hear Dustin screaming âoh my god, oh my god, oh my godâ right next to his ear as Eddie comes closer until he is standing right in front of them.
The musician is still looking at Steve as he leans forward and asks âgive me a sip?â as he looks down at Steveâs hands for a second. (Or at least thatâs what Steve guesses he says, the noise too loud for him to really hear him without his mic.)
Steve lifts his drink, and the frontman leans forward and down with a smile. He opens his mouth and Steve pours his drink in it. When he finishes, he winks at Steve before he walks away in time to start singing again. The kids around him are screaming, Robin is surely going to make him partially deaf and is shaking him so hard he almost drops the rest of his drink. It takes until the next song starts for the bunch to calm down a bit and focus on the show again.
The thing is, that is not the last time it happens. Eddie comes back to steal sips from his drink every few verses, and when Steveâs drink is finished and he goes to get a beer, he is miraculously let back to the front by the audience. Eddie, of course, also wants to have his share of the beer. So they share it.
It is, if Steve is honest, the weirdest experience he has ever had in a concert. But he is having too much fun and would not change it for anything. A hot singer and guitarist coming to him every few minutes and bending down so Steve can pour drink into his mouth? The best thing that has happened to him all month. It only gets better when Eddie ditches his leather jacket â Steve was starting to wonder when that was going to happen because itâs much too hot in the venue for it and he is sure that a big reason Eddie needs to drink so much is because he is sweating it all and dehydrating â and reveals that the tee he was wearing underneath has the sleeves cut off very freely. Steve can see most of the manâs torso and that is a SIGHT. There are tattoos on his arms and ribcage that Steve immediately wants to see complete, and his waist is slim where the shirt is tucked into the jeans. It makes Steve bite his lip in want.
He is about to pour the last of their third beer in Eddieâs mouth when a small hand stops him. He looks to the side with confusion, sure that none of the kids or Robin would stop him at this point and is met with the smile of a small blonde girl.
âGive him this pleaseâ she says, handing him a bottle of an electrolyte drink. Steve looks back at Eddie just in time to see him groaning. âNo more beer.â She adds, pointing to Eddie as if he was a misbehaving dog, he is surely giving the look, with his big brown eyes and sad look. She turns back to Steve, âand sorry about that, any new drinks you get are on us.â
She is gone with that. Steve looks at Eddie, at the new drink in his hand. Eddie shrugs, defeated, and leans forward. Steve quickly empties the rest of the beer in his mouth before he opens the new bottle and starts pouring from it. Eddie doesnât drink much, too busy trying not to choke on the beer and his laughter.
Eddie ditches his guitar towards the end of the concert for a âcalmerâ song. He walks around the stage as he sings to a boy involved in him that tries to deny the depth of their relationship and tries to date girls, and how in the future he is going to regret not staying with him. He has great stage presence, he has been flirting with the audience between songs, dramatic and charismatic, a bit over the top. Maybe the fastest crush Steve has ever developed, happy to enjoy his part in the show, even when he knows itâs not going to lead anywhere.
Steve feels his heart accelerating as Eddie walks towards him, which is ridiculous, they have been doing this all night. But this time Eddie shakes his head when Steve gets the drink ready, and he can only look as he kneels on the edge of he stage right in front of him as he sings the bridge. They are holding eye contact now, and itâs the closest they have been. Eddieâs eyes are captivating, Steve can only stop looking at them to glance down at his lips. It seems he was caught, because the next second Eddie is speaking.
âAre we about to kiss right now?â he asks, and Steve looks back up to his eyes. He lifts his eyebrows, trying to convey âbring it onâ as best as he can as he licks his lips, Eddieâs eyes glancing at them. It must work, because the next second Eddie is leaning forward, and now Steveâs hand is on his nape, and their lips are pressing against each other.
Itâs probably the filthiest kiss Steve has participated on. At least with an audience. Itâs not long, Eddie has to keep singing after all, but they make up for it in tongue action. The audience goes crazy around them, but Steve doesnât pay attention to them at all, only focused on Eddie. He at least must be paying some attention to their surroundings because he pulls off in time to keep singing and stands up to move around the stage.
There are a couple of songs more, and then Eddie is introducing the band again before he starts listing all the members of the staff that have made the concert possible.
âWe also wouldnât have made it here without our precious manager Chrissy,â he adds, âeven when she worries too much sometimes. Three beers are not enough to get me drunk, especially not shared ones. And that reminds me! I canât forget to thank my knight in shining armour, my perfect drink partnerâŠâ he trails off.
âSTEVE!â Robin shouts next to him.
âSteveâ Eddie repeats with a smile. âThank you for the drinks. Donât go running off now too fast now, alright? Stay for a bit after the concert, I owe you a couple of beers.â He finishes with a wink.
The kids and Robin are screaming again, and Steve is sure he is going to have bruises tomorrow from their grabbing, but he doesnât stray his gaze from Eddie. At least not until the last song finishes, the lights from the stage turn off, and the rest of the lights of the venue turn on. Then, and only then, Steve turns towards the others.
âHow did you say you were going to get back home again?â

"I can guide you through the basic aim, but part of making a chai masala is finding the blend unique to you. That comes with some trail and error." Charlotte bounced a bit in place, raising a finger soon as she continued, "I will make sure you don't manage to make something too overbearing of one flavour though. That can be disastrous as the mix boils and mingles sometimes."
With a quiet clap of her hands, she made a pointing gesture towards him with a grin, "Now all you need to do is name a day you'd like to give this challenge a whirl. I can easily work around your availability." There was a wink that followed her words, along with that serious glint in her eyes.
She really could make any time he laid out for her work. That was the easy part. Teaching him the basic process and helping him learn how the spices mingle was the real beast. There was the mix by mix form where the flavour varied each batch, making a fresh pot blend each time she would teach first. Once he managed to grasp that, then she'd move to teaching him how to make a dry blend in a more bulk amount.
That was the trick of making a good tea blend in general; with spices, herbs or differing tea leaves. It was a matter of understanding how those flavours blended to compliment one another, and any food they might be served with.
Hanekoma perked up as soon as she mentioned providing him with spices... And a challenge. He wanted to be able to make the best tea for his customers that he possibly could, and he could most assuredly learn a great deal under someone who understood the medium so well. While he was more than confident in his ability to figure out the balance of things on his own, he wasn't about to sit to the side and deny himself this opportunity to work with a master. There were a great deal of people he wanted to learn from, and he was eager to accept the offered help.
"Yes, absolutely!" He chirped, his chest swelling with anticipation. "I would love for you to teach me everything you know about brewing tea. I was prepared to come into this figuring things out on my own, but if you're willing to guide me then I'm more than willing to listen. I'm not afraid to admit when I'm in over my head, ya know. I've never really done this thing before, an' even though I'm not burning it or anything, I know it could be better. I'd love for you to show me what you can."

Thinking about getting assimilated into the retired 141 polycule.
You find Gaz and Soap first. Entirely by chance, theyâre sat at the bar when you go up to order a drink.
Itâs a busy night. You have to wait a moment for your order to be taken, so you strike up conversation with the two cuties youâve come across. They seem sweet, charming and donât mind that you interrupted their conversation.
Eventually, the bartender brings over your refill, and as you go to leave, you say, âone more for them, on my tab.â
Soap tilts his head, âshouldnât we be the ones buying you a drink?â
You shake your head, ânot here, youâre not,â before wandering back to the table your friends are at.
The next week, theyâre there again, and preempt you, by buying a round for your whole table, just to be polite, yâknow? And, yâknow, you kinda need to come up to the bar with them, to make sure all of the orders get put in right.
A flimsy excuse, but it gets you away so they can chat with you some more. You wait at the bar again, this time with one of them on either side of you, chatting about how your week was, (only yours, since, âwe donât get up to much, doll. Least, nothing we can say in polite companyâ) until the drinks come out and you take them back the the table. They trail behind you, then manage to find seats where they can stay at your side.
Gaz and Soap stay there all night, through each round, each bar hop, queuing for the bathroom with you, always right there on either side, right up until itâs time to go home.
As your friends split off into taxis, Gaz offers for you to go back to their place. Soap reassures you that thereâs no pressure, only if you want to, and you kiss him before he can finish saying the words. Gaz pulls you apart to get a kiss of his own, pulling you close as Soap protests about being interrupted.
The walk back to their place and everything after is a blur. You wake up in the morning, sandwiched between two bodies, who are whispering back and forth over your head.
You peel the sheet from your face and glance up, to see Soap on the phone.
âWhatâs up?â Your voice is hoarse, your throat parched.
âNothing, doll. Just making sure our breakfast actually gets made.â Soap pinches your nose, sending you squirming away into Gazâs arms.
âYouâll stay for it, right?â Gaz murmurs to you, dragging you away to sit up, pressing a glass of water into your hands.
You sip it, as Gaz steadies your shaking form. âCourse.â
âGood. You want chips or bacon? Keep your tits on Simon, Iâm asking them now.â Johnny hushes his voice when he speaks into the phone, keeping the harshness directed to Simon, on the other end of the line.
âChips.â You say, letting Gaz push one of his shirts over your head as someone knocks on the door.
âYeah, John?â Gaz glances over his shoulder.
âDoes our guest want tea?â a husky voice, Johnâs, comes from the other side of the door.
âTea, or coffee?â Gaz asks you.
âItâs tea, or no tea,â comes Johnâs voice again.
âFine, cap. Tea for everyone.â Gaz rolls his eyes, setting the water aside before pulling you off the bed, leaving soap to flop down on the covers where you just were.
âIf you want coffee, I can make you some.â Soap pouted as he missed his chance to grab you, instead scrambling up to make himself decent as Gaz set you down.
âWho was that?â You nod towards the door.
âThatâs John. We all used to be in the military together, so we call him cap. Youâll like him.â
âYou sure?â You say, as soap passes you a pair of shorts (on closer inspection, a pair of his boxers) for you to put on.
âCourse. Me and Gaz have good taste.â Soap taps your shoulder, pulling you towards the door, unsure if the good taste was about the as of yet unseen John and Simon, or you. âCome on, Si will be back with food any minute now.â
