Alastor's Father

I see a lot of fics where Alastor's dad is a piece of shit and abusive, but I'd love to see one where Al's dad actually loves and cares for his family but was taken from them when Alastor was too young to remember much about him.

Maybe he died as a soldier in WW1 or made it back to the US only to be killed some other way. If he was black, then those odds go way up unfortunately.

We don't know much about Al's parents but if it's still canon that he's creole, then that means at least one of his parents has black ancestry. A lot of the fics I've seen give him a black mom/white dad, but I think it would be interesting if both his parents were mixed too.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is if Al's dad was killed when he was still little, then they wouldn't recognize each other in hell now would they?

Al's dad sure does love his family, but everyone else can fuck off. And ooh boi did he earn his place in hell trying to protect them, not that heaven cared about his motives.

The second he finds out Alastor the Radio Demon is his baby boy? Hell hath no fury like a protective parent. He doesn't give a flying fuck about the atrocities Alastor has caused, that's his baby and no one is going to hurt him while he's not double-dead.

alastor and angel friendship: having inside jokes and everyone thinks they're absolutely unhinged when they reference them, not being able to stop laughing, S tier hugs, getting drunk and crying together, strongly respecting each other's privacy and how they don't want anyone else to know about the details they share with each other about their experiences of abuse, alastor quietly/tenderly mending angel's wounds from val that he'll refuse to go to the hospital for (and sneaking him things like lidocaine, birth control, etc., before he has to go in for a shoot)

alastor and charlie friendship: singing songs from musicals together while they're collaborating on tasks in the hotel, alastor really wanting to tell her that he loves her (as if she was his own daughter) but not knowing if she would trust him to be genuine about it / if he would sound sincere

alastor and rosie friendship: queer friendship of the century, being known for laughing in like every other sentence when they're together (and everyone knows when they're in the restaurant/bar/etc. because they laugh loud as hell), telling each other pretty much everything (even the darkest shit), alastor finally having someone to cry his goddamn eyes out to (she's the only person he'll run to when he's truly suffering an emotional crisis and he'll literally be sobbing his goddamn lungs out on her chest or in her lap)

alastor and husk friendship: sharing an equal tendency towards being sarcastic and deadpan when they're feeling especially mean, secretly making fun of everyone, alastor being supportive and even excited about husk & angel's romantic relationship, husk secretly thinking to himself that (even though alastor likes to consider himself the cruelest overlord and refuses to believe how much of a soft side he has) alastor is actually not that bad and shit could be wayyy worse, alastor silently just being there and listening to husk vent (i.e. without unsolicited advice) when husk gets too drunk and cries

alastor and vox (former) friendship: making each other laugh until they're coughing and in tears on the floor, being supportive of each other's business goals, really nice hugs, alastor perhaps taking his threshold of forgiveness towards vox too far

for the alastor and hana meet when alive au, is lucifer even more pissed that alastor is able to have a significant other who cares so much about him, like enough to give up heaven for him? also i'm just imagining the vox alastor scene "You sure took your time lol I was starting to think you got into Heaven!" and vox's reaction if hana just goes "i did in fact go to heaven! and ofc you weren't there!"

Oh no Lucifer and Lilith aren’t divorced-divorced here, not yet anyway. This is set before canon. Lilith is still doing queen of hell things. Charlie is still a teenager. Lucifer has no idea who alastor is at this point. He finds it romantic and touching that Hana would give up heaven for her husband. Brings back memories that make him wistful.

(Lilith on the other hand: barely concealed contempt. To give up a just reward for a worthless man, and a sinner at that? Unthinkable. At least Lucifer was the best and brightest of gods creatures when Lilith married him.

Oh yes alastor was absolutely giddy to see hana. After 50 years without finding her in hell, he’d actually resigned to the thought that hana was in heaven. Somehow. But then hana shows up! But on second glance she’s got — a halo??? Wings? Golden blood? (Of course alastor bites her first thing lol)

And hana is like heaven sucks the vibes were rancid and also your mom says hi and I love you. Or she would if she could remember you.

Alastor: what.

My main problem with Alastor is just how. Not threatening he is. I can't take the Bob and undercut combo seriously like- LMAO

So! I edited a lot. One, his head is now. Partially missing. This is because of both his cause of death (shot by a hunter), and because I think that he got told a lot in life that 'he had his mother's eyes', and what's a better sinner punishment then taking them away? (Also missing half his face gives the vibes of 'a face not even a mother could love') so if he ever could see his mom she wouldn't even recognize him

I don't think he's blind, he has a supernatural way of seeing, but also may occasionally just run into walls inexplicably.

The fact he's chewed to bits is cus of the hunting dogs that attacked him, and a punishment bc Alastor took pride in his appearance and now he literally looks like a zombie.

Alastor is now also very polite and gentlemanly, no matter what. He never swears, and he will remain calm and cool to everyone, even people like Vox and Lucifer.

Also he made a deal with EVE NOT LILITH PLS I HOPE THIS IS THE CASE IN THE SHOW PLEADE PLEASE PLEASE

Even if your name does start with a v. You only really run into him on the street and in meetings though. Your ass is not going into the headquarters (or whatever it's called) because of a certain, as Velvette would say, piss baby. You're getting the latest technology. Whether you want it or not is irrelevant. 

Velvette: Girlie (gender neutral) if you are on her good side you are spoiled. But you do have to get rid of ¾ of your closet. But you also get new clothes so you win some, you lose a few hundred. You are allowed into the v headquarters but only for short periods of time and in her area only. I would compare you to a sassy rich lady and her poodle. Carmilla: Listen I’m going to keep it real with you she does not want you to be an overlord. Like even if you guys don’t get along you’re still a child. Keeps a close eye on you. Anyway, she has three kids now. She’s leading the meeting while you're just sitting on her shoulders. No one dares mention it because they don’t want to find out if she’ll put her weapons to use. Very good life advice, it rivals Rosie’s.  If were to get adopted by any overlord she’d be the best pick.
