🚨KOSA is back and being pushed heavily in congress right now

I really hate to do this, but KOSA, the bill that is a mass censorship and surveillance bill that will specifically censor all LGBT content online to "protect kids", is back.

KOSA advocates have brought in support from Elon Musk (I wish I was making this up) and are trying to get him to get Donald Trump to speak out in support of it. (And they lie and tell us it's not an anti-queer bill 🙄). The reason so is because the holdouts that are stopping this from passing are...republicans. It's GOP House leaders Steve Scalise and Mike Johnson. If they succeed and put this in an end of year spending bill, it will be near impossible to get it out and it will most likely be passed. Pro-KOSA advocates were on the hill today pushing hard to pass it. They have a lot of support behind them. There is only two weeks left in congress, so if they don't succeed, it's over.

The ONLY way this bill has stalled so much so far is because of calls driven to congress. It has worked and can still work. Please, spread this as much as you can and call House leadership and spread the word! You don't have to be from their district. You can pretend to be GOP. It doesn't matter, just call and voice your opposition. Trump and Musk clearly have a lot of sway over these people and I'm really scared they will succeed at the last minute!!

This month, the US government is trying to push a new version of KOSA, the bill is essentially the same with the same horrible terms as before but it's under a new name.

PLEASE call your house reps and tell them to NOT let this bill pass! It could damage the online space and people's mental health in the process.

This new KOSA bill also includes the fact that if could steal VITAL and very PERSONAL information of yours and risks creating a dangerous space for queer and non-white people online and outside of it.

I am urging you not to include KOSA in any end of year spending bills and to keep it from passing. With Trump ascending into office, this bill will give the FTC power to control speech online. FTC Commissioner Andrew Ferguson just came out with an agenda that will focus on going after online platforms for displaying LGBT content. With KOSA, this would only give them and republican attorney generals even more power to remove any content they deem “harmful”, which we know is an excuse to censor everything they don’t like. Suicide rates will skyrocket for marginalized youth with this bill restricting content.

200 human rights and LGBT organizations total came out in an open letter opposing it. The ACLU is against it. Hundreds of thousands of Gen Z are against it. We know the harms of social media, and we do not want this. Major news have reported that this bill actively harms kids. 

The rewritten bill is still very dangerous, and giving any more power to Donald Trump to silence people he deems his “enemies” is a horrible move. With people like Donald Trump Jr. and Elon Musk supporting KOSA, this is enough of a sign to not push it forward. 

Multiple experts agree this bill pushes age verification, even with the new language. KOSA hands more private data of children to third party companies. The updated language threatens encryption. How is this protecting children’s privacy?  KOSA actively harms kids. Do NOT support this bill. Thank you.

REPUBLICAN VERSION: (pretend you’re GOP)

I am urging you VOTE NO on KOSA, the Kid’s Online Safety Act. Even with the rewritten language, this is still a dangerous bill that will harm children and censor pro-life content on the internet. Even with the new language, this bill still gives state Attorney Generals power to censor any content they don’t like. This bill would be weaponized by unelected bureaucrats to censor Americans, why else do you think Democrats are pushing it so hard? Why else would Biden and Kamala Harris support it?

Many news organizations have reported that this bill actively harms kids by exposing their private data to strangers under the guise of protecting them. We need to hold Big Tech accountable, but KOSA is not the solution.

The bill let any state attorney general and the FTC to sue any website for “harmful” content. Do we really want blue state lawyers deciding what can and can’t be allowed online? Big Tech is already censoring us. That’s why they support KOSA. This is massive government overreach. We need a bill that actually protects children by creating better security measures instead of bringing about more censorship to everyone.

KOSA is attempting to returned to be planned to be rewritten and be introduced again, either on the Spending bill or the GOP, which Republicans and Musk are trying to do both. The bill is still very dangerous.

If this bill were to ever pass, all online safety would be in a lot of danger, as well as platforms being attacked for showing LGBT+ content (especially Trans people) or anything that MAGA and Elon Musk do not like.

Whenever you tell stories with Alastor or cannibalism he not so subtly tries to dissway you. But your moms a cannibal and best friends with Alastor so you can guess how well that goes.

Niffty: Very chaotic together. Loves putting on roach puppet shows for you ever since you were a baby. I feel like your whole relationship is that one scene where her and and Alastor laugh sweetly then it turns insane.

Carmilla: Fellow mother who is also an overlord. While I feel Carmilla and Rosie have a shakey relationship she'd give Roise advice on how to balance being an overlord and a mom. When your an adult she might introduce you to her kids.

After you had trained with Carmila for a while and Roise had let her people help fight, the extermination was here. For the first time, you were a bit scared. But for your friends not you. You were ready to defend your friends with your life.

Soon the sky opened up and exorcists flooded out, Adam and Lute were leading. After a fair amount of exorcists got close Alastor put up a shield.

You transformed into your monster form. Stitched mouth as wide open as it could be. You held multiple Angelic spears as you slaughtered countless exorcists who dared get close to your friends.

Right as you and your friends got confident that you had a chance Adam punched the shield, making it disappear. Shit. You guys still had an angelic weapon though- you could still win this. Right?

You saw Adam fly to Alastor. You had no clue what to do. It was thee Adam. You didn't want to leave Alastor alone to deal with him, but you didn't want to abandon your other friends to deal with the hundreds of exorcists.

You decided to stay down, hoping he could fight back. On your battlefield, you and your friends were slaughtering the angels easier than you'd think.

You couldn't tell if hours or minutes had passed when you saw Sir Pentious's ship fly towards Adam. Then get destroyed. You stood in shock. Charlie called upon her goat bodyguards, Razzle and Dazzle. They came down, turned into their monster forms, and then let the women hop onto them.

But Dazzle was quickly stabbed by Lute causing them to fall. Shit shit shit. You quickly rushed into the hotel where they fell. As soon as you got in you tackled Lute. But you were running on pure adrenaline which was causing you to blunder. Which resulted in Lute being able to overpower and pin you. She grabbed her spear and stabbed it into your arm and you screamed.

Vaggie pulled Lute off of you and threw her to the ground. "You can't even find it in yourself to spare a child." Vaggie's voice had no emotion but was clearly full of hatred.

You pushed yourself up with your good arm. There were bits of shattered glass on the floor. You grabbed a large shard. It dug into your skin but you pushed through and stabbed it into Lute's hand just as she did to you with her spear.

The exorcist snarled and tried to move but Vaggie kept her pinned down. There was a loud scream. Charlie. You and Vaggie looked at each other then Lute. You and Vaggie nodded at each other, and then you ran off to the top of the roof.

By the time you got there, you saw Adam strangling Charlie only to get punched by Lucifer. Despite that, your blood boiled at Adam. It burned hotter when you noticed the lack of Alastor. You were injured and young. It would be stupid to attack Adam.

But when it came to defending your friends you never thought things through.

You rushed toward Adam. He was getting up and since your arms were injured you kicked him in the exposed side of his face.

"Oh- fuck you little shit!" Adam grumbled and grabbed your leg. He threw you back making your head collide with the sign sending searing pain through your skull. Your vision swam but you couldn't give up. Before you could try to attack Adam again Lucifer had thrown him off you.

You hoped that Lucifer could deal with Adam as you descended. In your mind, you wanted to help your friends on the ground floor but your heart knew you couldn't. It just felt like it would be better to pass out on a couch.

That dream was smashed with the Hotel. The hotel collapsing sent just enough adrenaline through you to get out without being crushed.

Every time you saw Lucifer he seemed to be beating Adam in some new way. This time was no different. You couldn't make out words as we were dazed but he let Adam live for some reason.

No. This wasn't how this was supposed to happen. You were supposed to show off your power and leave without a scratch, everyone being even more amazed by you. Your friends unscathed. And anyone who managed to hurt your friends would die.

So you managed to get your way over to Adam at the same time as a certain maid. Both of you pounced on him, her with a knife and you with just your bear fists.

"Nifty, Y/n!?" Charlie sounded shocked and you didn't let up on getting your rage out until you felt weak. The blood loss caught up to you as your adrenaline wore off and you passed out. You woke up in a much nicer hotel in a room covered in Halloween decorations.

A/N; OMG ITS DONE. Having ADHD and writing an almost thousand-word fic that involves mainly fighting scenes when you don't know how to write fighting scenes takes a bit. I hope it's ok it's a bit all over the place.
