I was going to reblog some of your posts because I wanted to discuss your takes on Mystra, but then I found out you're a Christian conservative who hates gay people.

No gay person thinks their sexual orientation is their identity, but it's absolutely PART of their identity, just as being straight is part of yours. You can claim otherwise, but it determines who you might love and marry and that person will one day become a part of you and your identity. It's inevitable. As a wife and mother of three, you should know that better than anyone.

But people from groups like yours shame gay people for exploring that part of themselves and that's why Pride Month exists. Pride isn't "propaganda". It's about marginalized people showing the world they exist and they're not ashamed of it. Parades are also a great way for gay people to meet each other. My bestie met her wife at a march 15 years ago and they've been together ever since. It's beautiful. They have two happy, gorgeous children who wouldn't exist without Pride, because their moms never would've met.

Pride also raises money to help gay teens who've been cast out of their homes and gay refugees who've had to flee their country because being gay is illegal there. It also provides support for gay people who need medical help, therapy for abuse, suicide prevention and more. It's a safe space for people who are often discriminated against and even KILLED just for being who they are. So sorry that seems to bother you.

Your take isn't brave, it's just ignorant and hateful. You didn't have to write that post. Nothing provoked it. You just WANTED to to air your allegiances. And then you turned off comments and reblogs lmfao. For the majority of the year, gay people survive just like us straights. They go about their day and don't even mention being gay. You picked the one month in the entire year that's dedicated to them to complain about their existence and call them "deranged". I can only assume the word "pride" scares you because you're a Christian and it's a sin, am I right? And by the way, as a veteran DnD player I can tell you right now that Mystra has done some absolutely VILE shit to her followers. She's not perfect. None of the gods in DnD are. They're flawed and often cruel. I've seen you compare Mystra and Gale to stories in the Bible, but that almost feels blasphemous. Mystra has a history of evil deeds. She orchestrated Elminster's rape, made sure he had kids and never told him about them. She turned Volo into an anchor without his knowledge. She tortured a peasant because he refused to sleep with her, then killed his wife and punished him for crying about it. And don't even get me started on the "daughters" she created. The third Mystra (who has Mystra and Mystryl's memories) is cruel to Gale as well and the game gives so much context for that. Plus ALL the companions agree she's unreasonable and tell Gale to reject her, and if he does it leads to one of his most satisfying endings. He's happy, he's a teacher, he marries tav and everyone approves. Your way of playing isn't the only right way and people aren't wrong for criticizing Mystra. There's plenty about her that deserves to be criticized, as is the case with every god in the pantheon.

Speaking of, I have nothing against Christians, but I do when they use their faith to shame people and act like total hypocrites.

It’s November very soon and I was thinking about posting a list of NWN/NWN2-centric general prompts for each day in November! (Get it? Neverwinter + November? Never-vember?) You know, is much as I hate volo and all of the shit that he put us through, and no matter how much I wanna punch that twink to oblivion.

I just wanna hold him and tell him "it's not your fault." And "it's ok to be angry." Along with saying "I understand that your in pain, but this will only make it worse for you.." basically just becoming his therapist and teaching him how to just let go of all his angry emotions.

And just to slowly watch him crumble and cry in my arms. Evan tho he is a real piece of shit and a PAIN IN THE ASS to deal with, I understand why he did the things he did. Evan if it's wrong.

Despite everything Volo has done, there is one thing that is very clear.

He is lonely.

Lonely, and angry, and hurt.

Volo has had to gone through something to push him to such a deep end, to viciously gleam for any info about the 'almighty Sinnoh', just to find out that both clans worship a fake, and there is even a third legendary to the trio.

Where he was angry and upset enough to make a deal with a legendary pokemon, just to spite the "Almighty Sinnoh" when he went so long being ignored, even after figuring out who the real "Sinnoh" was.

He and a lot of other characters need some love and therapy.

I have been consumed by the brainrot that is doublebattleshipping and PLA AUs that I make at night with my other crackhead ideas. Okay so like after Ingo gets Hisu'ed, Emmet gets a therapy/emotional support Walking wake because fuck yes thank you @bottle-of-harpoons for this Crack head of an idea, because I love me some good mental health (He was in Paldea for Teracrystallisation not because of time travel Boogaloo dang it. Also to see if Emmet can make battle strategy with it or ban it from the subway because it's to big SAFEY FIRST) Most of the paradox forms are ban from the subway because too big or will fuck up the train in battle. A year pass and Evelyn and Emmet start dating in secret from the media because the media always ruins a good relationship. They marry. ( Ingo now has been gone for 4 years they been dating for 2) the media catches on, they have twins named Rei and Akari ( it was suppose to be Akira it means Ideal but Emmet was verry tired and it was Akari but it could mean like the lights in gearstation or as in "up" because one of Rei's meaning is "return, resume, go backwards" :) I'm so funny. The reason why Akari looks like Dawn is because she is her Idol much to Iris disappointment. Rei is just a coincidence. Either way Dawn is in Hisui just doing Galaxy team thing and oh look two children fall from the sky, they both look like Survey corps members Rei and Akari (dawn and Lucas) but they also look a bit like Warden Ingo? Dawn takes them to Jubilife village because what kind of sicko leaves two kids that are like 5 or 6 in the wilds. Ingo is there at Jubilife this time when Dawn kicks down the doors ( not really) going " Holy Helix! Ingo I found kids!" Lucas looks at the kids then to warden Ingo then to the two unconscious kids in Dawn's arms. " Ingo did you spawn kids?" Ingo give a face of confusion. Akari awakens and says it very bluntly that her father would be proud, " I am Akari what the heck am I." Ingo's fragments of memories are screaming because she acts like Emmet. Rei wakes up and the first thing he does is cry, because he is in a strange place that guy looks like his dad and he just got kidnapped by some look a likes. Akari bites Dawn and Dawn yelps and drops them both, the siblings run Ingo, Dawn, and Lucas chase after them they are on the pokemon battle field, Akari pulls out her Pokeball which Rei does too, Lucas is so confused right now. Dawn is hesitant about fighting two little children. Akari screams "Fight me coward!" She smells the her hesitation. " I am Akari. And this is my little brother Rei, I like to win more than anything else!" " I am Rei, w-will your tracks line up towards v-victory or will you be crushed in defeat." Both children yelled, " ALL ABOARD!" Akari sends out a strange Zorua, and Rei sends out Axew. Ingo is getting flashs, Akari sends out her Decidueye, Rei sends out Pikachu. " Zorua use sludge bomb on the bird!" " Pikachu use Iron tail." " Axew make sure it doesn't hit you!" " It has sludge bomb!!?'

(Akari and Rei lost their pokemon are Level sixteen to 20 they couldn't beat 62 level pokemon. Not even with enough plot armor)

Meanwhile: Emmet

When his kids went missing, and team Neo Plasma was trying to gain power, his first instinct was to destroy them, which he did, Rosa live streamed it. Then future Volo tries to convince Emmet to his side saying I know where his kids are at, which lead to Evelyn and Emmet beating the living crap out of him. I mean Volo it sounds like you kidnapped them or work with the person who kidnapped them. And then Arceus because he needs to get to Hisui to protect his kids. And now they in Hisui. Emmet has Chandelure out to track their soul energy, and Evelyn grabs him to check the sky for higher ground with her Latios, remember Latios pokedex says it can go to Mach 4 so it's really fast so imagine your Sabi, you are flying with Lord Braviary and your vision says hey something fast and blue is going to pass you and you turn and a streak of blue flys by and then you see in your vision that was a Ingo in white and a women in blue. Wait what.

They end up in Jubilife village, so people panic because Emmet wears white and red, you know who else is white and red, Hisuian Zoroark. Akari and Rei sees them, and scream, " Mama! Papa!" While running to them. " Rei! Akari!" They hug, family reunion. (Looks at Ingo)

" Kids" Evelyn said.

" Yes mom?" Both their children replied.

" Your grounded."

" Whyyyyyyy?" Akari

" You uncoupled your trains from ours." Their father said.

" Emmet?"

Emmet turns around to only stare at his missing brother, and is that the Chamion of Sinnoh??

"Ingo?!"

"Your married???"

"You look like you got ran over by a train?"

Cue akward family reunion Between brothers.

I think the reason for this is because Volo seems to not be as bad as previous god complexed villains. They used mostly dark type teams and ghost. They had Pokemon on their team that told of how horrible they are.

Volo’s? He was a Togikiss, which aren’t Pokemon known for choosing evil people. They evolved with kindness. Even its pre evolved forms speak of how Kind and Caring it is. Only able to be with a trainer that is like it. It’s second evolved form states that it gets upset and sad if with a trainer that isn’t kind hearted.

Oddly enough a lot of Volo’s Team need kindness and friendship to evolve. Comparative to past villains who admitted to seeing Pokemon as a tool, even mid treating. Volo is by far much kinder in comparisons.

This indicates that Volo isn’t as evil as we think he is. To be fair the Commander also indirectly tried to kill a child too. We aren’t sure if Beni was actually going to kill us! Because all we know is he was sent to stop is by whatever means necessary. At the commanders request. Ninjas were known to assassinate people. But is heavily assumed Beni as killed for the commander in the past.

There is however a key difference in the Commander and Volo, we know more after the first one’s past. To explain a bit of why he’s so afraid, we have a reason to be sympathetic with him.

We know nothing about Volo to make the same assumption.

Still though, despite knowing his past, Kamando still exiled a freaking child, possibly tried to assassinate them, made them work their tail off at his request, and when things turned bad blamed them for the actions they wanted the protagonist to take! He ranted for ever interaction to prove ourselves and when we did, he still didn’t trust us. Even when everyone else did. Everyone pointed out he was crazy. AND rather than let one of the clans help a child who could DIE alone, he’d wage war with them if they dared give the protagonist shelter! (Not saying is trauma isn’t valid, but I’m saying trauma is a reason not an excuse. The same can be said about Volo.)

This man needs therapy and to never have children.

Volo by comparison tried to kill us to, or rather ‘destroy us’ with Giratina. He felt if he did God or Arceus would come down to him, and I don’t think he was wrong. We have everything he wanted. And rightfully he was mad, doesn’t make it okay to kill a child, but I get why he was upset. (I barely understand why Kamando was. Tbh his project reminds me too much of people who have hurt me in the past.) Volo seems less hellbent than Kamando does canonically too.

So when asked why one gets more favor than the other, I don’t think it’s just because of pretty privilege. But rather we know the past of one, the other, we don’t. But the context we can get of Volo, is that he’s not as evil as we’re making him out to be he certainly not compared to Cyrus. It’s to be believed that Cynthia is his ancestor, she’s able to generational trauma then there must be something more. Something that we don’t know because Game Freak didn’t give us the answers.

I’m not saying the commander deserves hate, but I am saying he deserves some too. To be fair I don’t like either characters, but that’s just me. I think both of them are shitheads. :3

Hot take: Kamado gets treated by the fandom the way Volo should’ve, and Volo gets treated waaaay too kindly than he ever deserves.

There’s evidence that shows Kamado was a genuinely good guy who made one misguided mistake and then tries anything to make up for it, and there’s evidence that Volo’s is a predatory psychopath without any evidence suggesting otherwise.

Sure Volo’s hotter, but pokemon fans genuinely need to stop acting like Kamado kills babies in his spare time and Volo was being quirky and “just having a silly moment lol”.

Kamado had a wife. It’s implied she died due to Pokemon. He lost his entire hometown due to Pokemon. Then when he tries to keep his new town (family) safe from creatures that ruined his life, some kid comes along and acts like his trauma isn’t valid or reasonable. But when he realizes that exiling that child was a bad thing to do, he apologizes, regrets his actions, and tries to do anything to make up for it (and even gives them a plate which is partially a key to going back home).

Volo is, from what we know, a guy with a god complex who had stated he would kill a child for a chance to meet god, let alone attempt to kill it. Not to mention the fact that, if he existed in the modern day, a LOT of his behavior would be seen as predatory since he’s acting this way towards a character who is confirmed to be underage.

So sure, you can hate Kamado and think Volo’s hot, but Kamado is definitely the better person of the two, and I’m tired of people saying how horrible he is when he’s an extremely justified man.

I wish people would stop calling Giratina "Satan." They're not equivalents and it's a really Christian-centric way to view a piece of Non-Christian media. They may have a few similarities, only one being the whole being banished by the highest power thing, but that's it. Giratina gets forgiveness and is allowed to return to our realm after its banishment, and turns into a last resort failsafe for keeping Palkia and Dialga safe from human harm. That doesn't sound like Satan to me. Satan is never allowed forgiveness by God, and will never be allowed back to Heaven due to his sin.

And then there's Volo. I hate how dirty he was done in game because, religiously, I see a lot of my atheistic beliefs and struggles in him and how he wants to recreate the world without suffering, and it hurts to see the fans make him some heartless monster that'll gleefully rip someone's heart out. Does he still need a punishment? Probably, he did try to end the world as everyone knew it, but he also needs some freaking therapy first and foremost. And honestly? I think if he were to get a punishment, it'd probably just hammer into him that the world is cruel and unfair and so full of suffering that it needs reborn. Volo's whole motivation is that- suffering. A lot of atheists ask why an all loving, all powerful god would allow such suffering in the world. Volo is privileged in the fact that he lives in a world where the creation god undeniably exists, so he uses his privilege to try to get Arceus' attention to at least ask why. But, frustratingly, he just gets ignored in favor of someone he views as a random nobody. Volo isn't justified in his actions, he really isn't. But good golly gee willickers does he need a little more sympathy from the fanbase.

I'm sorry for my rant, but it's really frustrating to see these sorts of ideas shuffled along.

First, just to clarify, I don't think Giratina is Literally Satan (it's closer to Hades, just ruling over the distortion world instead of the underworld). I just call it that because it sounds much funnier to say "Volo summons Satan" than "Volo summons a Pokemon that was banished to the distortion world", you feel

But secondly, yeah, I do actually agree with the second point. The issue with Volo walking off, aside from it being weird in-universe because he's clearly a threat, is that he does have some point. Wanting to remake the entire universe is obviously whack, but the guy seems to have legit criticisms and questions that are just kind of brushed aside by the narrative.

I think a better ending would've been if after being defeated, the MC does actually drag Volo with them to meet Arceus, just without his Pokemon. Maybe by the end, he doesn't forgive Arceus, but he's at least willing to stop trying to redo the entire universe, you know? Something to give closure to his character to some degree instead of him just leaving and no one doing anything about it.

Rereading through your Wanted AU makes me just want to wrap up Emmet in a soft blanket, give him like 10 shiny joltiks, and get this boy the therapy he (rightfully) deserves.

Just…Ingo finally being home is not going to fix the plethora of anguish this poor man has gone through. Boy went through hell with his bro's disappearance. Media bombardment, spiteful conspiracies, keeping up the subway on his own on top of taking care of nearly two full teams of pokemon by himself. And that's just what was happening on the outside! (Don't get me started on the mental aspect 'cause I could write a thing or two let me tell ya. I won't because this ask is long enough as it is and I don't want to butt-in a bunch of angst headcannons for an AU that's not rightfully mine.)

And even when he's finally home, Ingo has changed. He's not the same twin anymore. He's grown in ways Emmet hasn't and in some ways Emmet was kinda left behind(unintentionally but still) or just left to stay the same while getting frayed at all ends. Which is going to add just another layer of mental torment.

Ingo thought it was a curse when he forgotten everything about his home and his family and friends and left to struggle for memories, but Emmet kinda hates him for that comment because forgetting would have been a blessing for him. (He'll never say that out loud because he knows what Ingo went through was just as bad but my dude deserves to lash out in this AU once!)

Just…may I punch Arceus for this man? I'm gonna punch Arceus for this man for letting Volo play god and just letting it play out before sending a child to fix what it should have in the first place.

Oh I promise you this boy has had some thearapy before, Elesa would have dragged him to his first appointment if he hadn’t gone willingly. That said, he’s now got connections to get himself and the others all the therapy they are going to need after all this mess.

So I will say, after all the miscommunication and trouble Ingo’s amnesia has caused thoughout this story and also what he later sees Ingo struggle with, Emmet would fully agree that it is a curse. And as painful as those three years are for him, he’d never want to forget his brother or his pokemon. I see Emmet as someone who likes order and to loose oneself in that way is very chaotic.

Also! While I totally understand the anger and the urge to blame Arceus, I’m pretty neutral on them. I’m also of the opinion that humanity/pokemon kind Does Not want Arceus stepping in themself. They are too powerful for dealing with something so arguably small in the grand scheme of things without royally fucking something up. Them handling it themselves would be like using a sledge hammer to chisel the finer details of an ice sculpture.

The reason I believe this is due to the number of lesser gods that Arceus created so to create the world and it’s inhabitants for them. They themselves can directly make powerful beings like Palkia, Dialga, and Giratina, or the three lake spirits. But a Bidoof?? No way.

This is why they chose humans to handle a matter that takes place on a human scale. They trust the power of the bonds between humans and their Pokémon to be what saves the day. And also humans learn better by watching another human befriend a Pokémon, as opposed to some great giant godly Pokémon telling the people of Hisui to go make friends with that aggressive Shinx.

In my fic Arceus is the one to send Ingo back to Hisui, as evident by his xtransceiver becoming his arc-transceiver. Arceus didn’t want to be the one to do it, but Dialga is the one that was frenzied in my fic so they have to be the one to do it.

You know that scene at the very start of the game when you see Arceus all golden and shining? That was the true face of god. Something no living being should ever look at if they wanna keep their memories. At least Ingo still remembers his name.

So basically, the god of the Pokémon world is a GOD, and you never want their direct attention. That’s why they give Ingo and Akari tools like they’re devices to help guide them instead of ever speaking to them directly. Gotta keep the divine exposure to an absolute minimum.

(This is generally how I always write gods. They are all just too big to fit in the doll house themselves, so they gotta send in Paladin Barbie to achieve their divine quest for them)

Before it came out that he was one of the big bad guys, there wasn't much of a relationship between you two. Other than close friends and a business man and his favorite client.

After the whole fiasco, Volo basically went MIA and you literally had to track him all over Hisui in order to find him.

Once you did, it was slow to build up to being friends again, and even harder to take it further. Once you did managed though, you're life was about to become amazing.

Volo is inquisitive and very good at figuring things out. Mentally he's a genius and he will use that at every opportunity he can.

He remembered all your favorite things, every single story you ever told him, and he takes notes like a madman.

He didn't like to go to the villages with you, not wanting to deal with scornful glares, no matter how much you vouch for him.

Due to this he's really good at setting up nature-esque dates. He'll take you to some of the most beautiful scenes in Hisui, areas that you would've never found on your own.

He's also a sweetheart and while he doesn't like PDA, all your dates are private anyway and won't mind sharing a kiss or two.

Physical touch is actually one of his love languages, that and gestures. Holding your hand and squeezing it twice to show he loves you even when words can't convey it.

He's a softie and you're the idiot who was crazy enough to show him this new side of him, the one not dead set on revenge.

If you had a sexual relationship before Volo is revealed to be the big bad, expect a lot of worship/praise kinks. The man had a god complex and in bed was the only time he expressed it.

Also Arceus was responsible for the frenzies, possibly for the crisis that led to the player's exile, definitely for the spacetime distortions (those are active in Hisuian Snow, before the Rift, and I guess you could make the argument that if time and space are warped they can start happening before their cause or something, but Pokémon's not THAT deep, lol) and possibly used Volo and Giratina to create a way to help NOT its most ardent worshipper or its child but Professor - goddamn - Laventon (the mission is "Meet All Pokémon" not "Close the Rift" and he is specifically called to meet you on Prelude Beach.) If Arceus really wanted Volo to stop, it just had to show up and say hi. That's all Volo needed from it - some affirmation from sky llama dad.

And you're right - Laventon does very little to help during the exile arc until the very end of it and he sort of forces you into the Survey Corps. Cyllene's test was her way of making sure she could justify this without a doubt and, honestly, is MVP, just throughout, but Laventon just sits around and regrets. And at the end, he's totally cool with the PC just... going up the mountain to meet god. And possibly be killed. I love Laventon, he's a good dude overall doing his best, but like... Did he really deserve divine intervention?

And we all know what happened to Cyllene's legacy. I think we can definitely blame Arceus (for everything) for her descendant being so fucked up that he wants to destroy everything she worked to build.

I have ranted about this four separate times, I apologize, but yeah - So yeah, screw Arceus. Go Volo. I will simp for Volo and Cyllene heavily and they deserve better.

I was debating on whether or not I should ask about this via messages or ask, but decided to go with asks cause why not.

I feel like I've asked something super similar to this in the past, but how do you handle the villains of the series in your cactuverse? Cause I've actually been having some difficulties with how I want to share them in the legendverse. Guzma and Ghetsis are fairly easy for me to know what to do with them, but others are difficult, especially in relation to my ocs. Cyrus seems the most difficult for me. He caused Danica a lot of trauma, despite her chill demeanor. She literally had to defeat him at a young age with little to no help outside of her friends, Looker( kinda) and Cynthia ( kinda. Still working on that part). Oh and Rowan, but he's the grandpa moral support. But she still did a lot of the work, you know? She was still the one that got dragged into that mess.

My main difficulty is trying that balance of " this man is literally evil" and " he can learn to be better if he legitimately tries" and that's so confusing with someone like Cyrus. He got the implied sad backstory that makes me go " ah. He needs therapy" but that doesn't excuse for what he did. Sorry if I'm talking in circles here( and for that rant) just. Cyrus. Villains. Author problems? Yeah.

Hi, there @ihopethisendswell! Ah yes, author problems! How do we handle the villains of Pokemon? You've asked me about how I felt about the villains in general which more or less goes to I really don't care for most of the villain teams. As I've mentioned before Cactusverse tends to be rather painfully accurate to the game canon for the various main series game events. Now what happens after the credit rolls varies between the villains/antagonists I'll start with Legends Arceus. Even though Kamado still retains his position as commander there is a quite noticeable dip in faith in his leadership after what he pulls on Rei (cactusverse legends protag). Over time as Jubilife Village continues to grow Kamado will eventually step down handing the reins to Cyllene and it's Rei who becomes the captain of the survey corps in his adult years. Now with Volo, there's a bit more of an emotional pull. The one thing I do change in canon for Legends is that Rei is not an isekai'd protagonist. Rather he's someone from that time period who happens to be of the Celestica people much like Cogita and Volo. So the betrayal and everything hits a lot different since there are just so few Celestica people left in Hisui at the time. I'm admittedly still ironing out the details for cactusverse!Hisui so I don't have much more to say here. Now for Team Rocket. After the events in Johto the Rocket admins all get arrested by the G-men (with the charge mainly led by Silver and Yellow with Lance in the background now that he's no longer champion after being dethroned by Ethan). Giovanni of course makes his escape as he does appear in BW2 over a decade later only to get Hyperbeamed by Lance on-sight (sorry Giovanni, Lance is Silver's new dad), and Looker arrests Giovanni. I do include the Let's Go Kanto Trio in cactusverse but I give them their own unique villain plot with the Team Rocket Trio since they are the last remaining members of Team Rocket who eventually realize they're better at being good than being bad and so they officially disband Team Rocket in Kanto. Then there's Team Aqua and Team Magma. Hoenn is one of the regions where there's some heavy meshing of canons. The climax of the plot ends up like Emerald where they both summon their respective legendaries and shit hits the fan. But this is more or less ORAS Hoenn so they have their ORAS designs and Megas and Zinnia are involved. Steven is still champion here but I do include him and May tag-teaming in the main game like Emerald because that was the coolest thing ever to me as a kid (and I had the biggest crush on Steven and at some point, I need to gush about him because he's still bae). Since Maxie and Archie are more misguided than anything they do get rehabilitated over time, with Zinnia and Wallace (who becomes champion after May decides to not be a standing champion) who help them get better.

Alright so for Team Galactic. Cactusverse follows Platinum for its events. Cyrus stays in the distortion world and dies. It's only after Dawn and Cynthia hear the story of him in Sunyshore that they realize he was more misguided but by the time they try to rescue him it's too late. The admins are arrested through a combination of Looker and the aura guardians of Sinnoh (mobilized by Riley). For Team Plasma well Neo Team Plasma largely gets arrested over time through the combined efforts of Good Team Plasma, the G-men, the international police, and the Village of Dragons (who contain the few remaining full-fledged aura guardians in Unova). Ghetsis and the Shadow Triad die in the Giant Chasm though. For Team Flare, Lysandre dies. Xerosic and Malva go to jail after the Emma events. For Alola, I've mentioned this before but I do mix up a bit of SM and USUM. The SM part is Lusamine being evil AF to her children. Lusamine also dies here but right now I'm torn if Marsha and Lillie bring her back to their world and she succumbs to the poisoning there OR if Lillie and Marsha decide to leave her in Ultra Space. Last but not least is Galar...chairman Rose goes to jail and because he is genuinely remorseful he doesn't take the lighter punishment given (because of his wealth as the courts in Galar are rather corrupt) and serves his entire sentence. The Royal Twins get off easy mainly because of their royal connections.

So that's pretty much how I handle cactusverse villains. I'll be down to talk more about legendsverse in DMs if you want to throw some ideas around!

I just want to pop in and say that I absolutely love and adore your posts about Volo (and Cyrus, esp since I skipped usum) because not only do I want Volo to be redeemable in the future but also I heavily agree that some part of him had to be genuine.

I'm not gonna excuse what Volo did, but I don't think he's completely irredeemable, since a lot of the details sometimes go into a person's Pokemon.

Like Oleana's Garbodor and Lusamine's Clefable and Lopunny (Lusamine needs a lot of fucking therapy and to keep a distance from her kids tho - which she does in USUM, THANK FUCK, not a fan of SUMO's having Lillie stick around to take care of her). :V

Besides that Togekiss, there's also Lucario, which has a Shield entry about how only Trainers with strong justice in their hearts can gain its trust. Not to mention, the entry about Riolu states it only approves of those who are pure of heart.

Also, that photo of Volo with his Togepi. That's something that's hard to fake for something that isn't even necessary. :V

He doesn't have to be forgiven to be redeemed, though he definitely needs to atone. But hey, if Maxie and Archie can get that option in ORAS, then so can Volo. I still want to kick his ass tho lmao.

Do you think there's a point where self aware Volo stops thinking of himself as a follower and starts thinking of himself as your tool. Does this man have any boundaries or hard limits or would he straight up ritually sacrifice himself if you asked. Either way he needs therapy.

If you indulge him enough, he very well might believe it. If he begins to think that by becoming your tool, you'll stay with him, he may delve further into such a dangerous mindset.

You have to assure him, no, you like him how he is. No need to sacrifice himself on your watch! Or be a tool! But you are right, man needs some good therapy, pronto!

Ingo refuses to leave her in there, and forces Melli along with him to fix this, and apologize for putting the girl in danger.

What neither of them suspect is the Spiritomb lurking deep within the caves, who is hungry for new souls, and is quite ready to play a very, very cruel game

A Post-Red Sky fic with Rei internalizing his traumatic experience. Not really a Kamado redemption fic, though he's certainly ambiguous. Focuses on everyone trying to offer themselves as someone that Rei can lean on, and failing.

He ends up leaning on two people, Ingo, and Palina, surprisingly enough - with Lord Arcanine essentially offering to be a therapy dog, in a sense. Rei does get better, but much patience is needed
